#ONLY DEFINED BY THEIR WEILDER

The final main argent at last!  (There's still a little more to go, though.)
In one of the many story revisions, I had the idea that playing the ARG, with its supernatural elements, would sort of...supernatural...ify...the characters in turn.  So those that had "superpowers" going in were perhaps predestined to be linked to this game (the HS inspo showing there), and the others simply catch up to them.
I still like this idea, but it's hard thinking of 9 (or perhaps 10) different psychic abilities that all feel distinct and also feel like they characterize their weilder appropriately.  I think maybe their planet needs a defined system of "magic"/superpowers/whatnot *first* before I go back to that.  Sometimes a system with defined rules helps give guidance.  Not to mention it can work more into the plot that way, instead of just...anything goes.
Only thing I know for sure is that there's what I could call a spirit world.  Or perhaps ghost world.  Some other plane of existence that's still inextricably linked to the living realm, basically.  This has actually always been a part of the argent world, but how important it is to the *story* keeps fluctuating from draft to draft.
Anyway, Tertia can see and talk to ghosts.  This has always been her thing as Pluto, and always been her thing in her life.  Still young and without the greatest control, she accidentally became possessed during a ritual, and...now that I think about it, I've never actually figured out the aftermath.  Did she kill somebody??  Maybe.  I mean it wasn't really *her*...but whatever happened, she was exiled a result, and has tried to avoid using her abilities ever since.
Her identical twin sister makes trips from the town into the wilderness to help look after her, but Tertia feels bad that she has to go to such lengths.  In the argent world, there is no anonymity online; there's usernames, but they're linked to a unique community-issued ID that's used to sign up for websites and such.  So if you're exiled, you're also banned.  From like, everything.  I just can't resist a little bit of dystopia I guess!!!!!!!  Tertia's actually using her sister's device/account to play the ARG, which causes some funny nonspecific cosmological loopholes and accidentally brings her sister into the game, too.
The above was my way of justifying why there was a "Pluto" character in this lineup despite Pluto no longer being a PLANET planet, anymore.  The whole exile thing, AND the twin thing, was based off of the debate surrounding how to reclassify it (and by extension Charon).  As for Tertia's style, pastel goth just felt like the obvious choice.  Between when I created her till now, we've since learned that Pluto has a big ol' heart on it, so I just had to include that in her outfit!
(I would like for her lack of online presence under her own identity to perhaps help her break out of something later on...but that's an even vaguer idea.  She's the rogue agent of the cast, essentially.  Pluto DOES have that eccentric orbit...it only fits.)

A:TLA romantic ships part 1
yes, no one asked for my opinions, yes I will give them anyway, yes because I have decided making a bunch of meaningless decisions and arguing for them will improve my mental state, yes I watched the show all in one very sleep deprived go and i’m not interested in rewatching it so yes I have absolutely no sources, yes this is a really long grammatical nightmare because I don’ t know how to be succinct and i use way more words than necessary at any opportunity because if my point doesn’ t come across exactly like i intend it will greatly upset me, no I have not yet watched Korra or read the comics because i’m tired now let’s do this.
includes Kataang, Zutara, Jetkara, Jinko, Maiko, Sukka, Taang, Tokka, Toko Ty Lokka, Tyzula, Yukka bc these were on the Avatar wiki ship list, part two will go into gay ships more
from 0 I despise people who ship this immediately to 10 I will read absolutely anything with this, I love it and could draw it for hours on how much I think the relationship would be good and how happy it makes me
Kataang (looks like a comic book sound effect so plus points)
very clearly built up over the series
cute kid crushes also ngl did not know katara was 14 and not older 12 or 13 so didn’t care about age when watching
now I know she’s 14 and he’s 12 it’s a little weird but still
haters say katara was just the avatar’s trophy girl, as if aang didnt kiss the ground she walked on and wouldnt stop telling anyone how amazing she is. Katara was the first face he saw from the new world and they immediately became friends. she was so excited to meet another bender, he clearly is trying to impress her and it is working, he listens to her about bending and offers to take her to the other side of the world to master water, TELL ME at this moment she is not ride or die and she doesn’t even know he’s the avatar, he lets her feel like a kid again, which is a feeling she’s forgotten after years of being a mother to sokka and the children. he literally sweeps her off her feet to save her from the fire nations ship i-. rewatched boy in the iceberg and hoo boy had canon not messed it up, this ship could have been legendary
hard to imagine older them working out what with the whole last airbender, preserve air nomad culture, let’s travel the world bc nomadic lifestyle, what’s marriage i’m a monk without biological family values vs last southern waterbender, preserve southern water tribe culture, I believe in the power of family and am ridiculously dedicated to my tribe,  let me go home to my father and tribe shtick, but I don’t care for after the show finishes much except for following the gang fix the world so I don’t really care about the marriage issue
canon was good until that Mess in season 3, WHY did he kiss her after that speech, wish they talked that out properly, wish he learned letting go of her to open the 7th chakra was the only right decision, wish the ending was a little more vague in ships and just left things open but yk whatever
that finale kiss was sweet, they hugged foremost as friends, no blushing, and then got the fuzzies, that moment standing alone? a+ but without any talking about what happened on ember island, a little unsatisfying
overall, fine ship, not my favourite nor do I actively ship it, but I see a kataang moment, i’m like, sweet so I give it a 6
Zutara (apparently fans are zutarians which looks like an alien race, plus points)
latter half of the show had quite a lot of Zutara potential, but idk about Zutara actual
katara was so ready to drop his ass, no way at the start
there is only one dynamic between them in which I can see Zutara working and that is as in the Stalking Zuko by emletish series where katara is so distrusting over zuko she takes to stalking him to make sure he isn’t doing anything to hurt Aang or about to betray them (her) again but he is just such a sweet dork who keeps trying to apologise to her even while she’s apologising to him for being a bitch that she can’t help but start to trust him, i’m a third into the third book in the series not stalking firelord zuko and I am thriving and tbh this is the only situation where I accept zutara, read the series I love it
age gap is weird, I know it’s the same difference between kataang but they made a point of zuko being older in the show also he’s so much taller and I don’t like 16 year old boys with 14 year old girlfriends in real life and so would katara because jet
katara has a bad experience with bad boy sword weilders (jet) but I guess you could see it as the start of her type idk
they are both the moms of the Gaang. sokka is the fun dad.
there is a parallel between their families, with the leader of their people dad, mom who left the picture when they were young, an older brother who is not a prodigy at/can’ t bend their respective element so they become proficient at swords instead, prodigy at bending younger sister with a violent streak. this is why I see zutara as potentially a really close friendship, almost siblings, but not a romance because to me katara is a little too like azula for comfort...
tbh I think a lot of folk shipped it because ooh fire boy and water girl (not the game) that’ s perfect, and bam army of zutarians
overall, kind of weird but ok and good grounds for humour so I give it a 4
Jetkara (bad ship name, why would you like this, minus points)
Jet is bad. yes Katara really liked him, yes he was definitely her first kiss and she would definitely consider him her first boyfriend but they would not define it because it’s easier to manipulate someone when it’s unclear what your relationship is and Jet is bad, with his weird fricking eyebrows and not even real swords those hook swords
Not wasting my time, 2
Jinko (cool name, reminds me of Hong Jinkyung, plus points)
short but so sweet. not the first thing people remember from watching the tales of ba sing se (brb going to rewatch and cry) but really cute, so here’s a running commentary
his first thought was she knew they were fire nation rather than a pretty girl sat in a teashop giving him looks because she had a crush omg
that honest surprise when his uncle suggested she liked her and then she walked up and asked him on a date, adorable
anyone who looked at that god-awful hairstyle and still thought he looked cute has it bad also aww that hair ruffle and the little grab onto his arm
he’s pushing his food around and she’s trying out ice breaker questions and recieving one word responses he has no idea what he’s doing
“she is not my GIRLFRIEND” he’s not over Mai, clearly but he still is trying his best to be a good date even if he’s terrible at making conversation
anyone who sat through that date and the bad lying and the stilted conversation and still thought he was cute has it bad
he is So Bad At Lying he just told the truth very vaguely and then bam travelling circus
jin so knows the two are fire nation, the whole date she just politely ignores the clear lies and doesn’t react to the obvious firebending, what an icon we love jin
honestly I was really expecting the show to reveal that jin knew he was a firebender if not from the start then from the lights but eh I guess she can keep a secret, good for her
HE KISSED HER BACK BEFORE REALISING A RELATIONSHIP COULD NEVER GO WELL AND HE MAY HAVE ANGSTILY STORMED OFF BUT HE ADMITTED IT WAS A NICE TIME TO HIS UNCLE
that being said I can’t see anything more happening but this date but omg imagine fire lord zuko coming back to visit and they become friends I-
overwhelming support for pre-date jin flirting to an oblivious zuko and the date Jinko, 8
Maiko (name would be a good name for a cat idk why)
childhood sweethearts before the banishment i think
she crushed because he saved her hair from getting burnt by tackling her into a fountain? adorable
I love mai she’s so funny but I think not the best match for zuko? he has a lot of trauma to get over and she doesn’t seem like the let all your feelings out and let’s talk about it until you feel better kind of person.  it was deeply ingrained in her to keep all of her feelings and emotions strongly hidden because she got what she wanted from her politician parents so long as she was quiet, well-mannered, and perfectly behaved according to avatar wiki so I get why she’s that way, until I was 11 I was that way too all the time, I understand freezing your face so you don’t look afraid or upset or angry and risk annoying adults, but I don’t think that that would fit zuko with his social ineptness
they literally broke up twice but are just assumed back together? she just surprised him and said they were back together and I think he forgot she existed
the deadpan firelady and the fire lord would be hilarious together tho she got the ruthlessness he lacks
post coronation I can see it happening, 6 but under Kataang
Sukka (terrible name lmao)
the cutest, sokka very excitedly says “Suki!! :DDD” every time he sees her
she didn’t give him the time of day until HE changed, incredible
just the best canon ship, the two nonbenders in the Gaang but very clearly shown to be important key members.
suki is sneaky and badass, rivalling zuko for position on the team as the sneaky badass one (they tie and bond over being sneaky and badass)
sokka is a great dad, he is the dad of the Gaang and he clearly loves suki and suki loves him back
sokka ships are ELITE, 9
Taang (a delicious orange drink mix that reminds me of home, nostalgia)
foreshadowing from the swamp where someone aang loved in the future really made me think taang was endgame yk
opposite elements ideology that I guess is what zutarians like also leaves everyone in the gang dating a Gaang member if zutara happens
actually the same age but not much else going for it
best friends, 4 but under Zutara
Tokka (great name of a small pet fight me)
sokka ships are elite, childhood crush turned adult strong friendship
I really like seeing the rough, tough, greatest earthbender in  the world have a crush, adorable
sokka is a great friend and his and toph’s canon relationship is so sweet, I wouldn’t change it
toph was fully going to give sokka a kiss on the cheek for saving her life i’m melting
age difference is too weird for a romance he’s like 16 or 17 by the end I think and she’s 12
best friends, 10 as a relationship in the show, 2, but in their 20s after the show... 4 but under Taang
Toko (very forgettable name but both characters have 4 letters so I guess it’s hard to come up with something memorable but every time I read it as Toph because same shape ish so minus points for being annoying)
even weirder age gap than Tokka
not many moments that could be considered romantic?
toph first accepted zuko despite him burning her feet, how she sees, which was big and they resolved problems between them quickly
toph clinging to his arm and asking for a life changing field trip caused him to blush, but I see that as him being like oh someone wants to spend time with me?? she’s hugging me??? what is this
convenient ship for kataangers because the Gaang could be paired off as Kataang, Sukka, Toko
her crush on sokka seemed to go away or calm down when he showed up and she punched him and teased him a lot, her way of bonding
similar strict teaching styles and bonding over secret identities as Blue Spirit and Blind Bandit and parental issues and being the children of important families who made them run away to enjoy not having anything to do with politics and being nobility with impaired vision who have never stepped into a kitchen in their lives and being used to servants and then being on the run
I really see them as siblings with her helping him relax from his duties as fire lord because you already know this boy’s sense of honour is going to make him work tirelessly to fix the world and him helping her relax from the whole i’m not a fragile, weak little blind girl, i’m the greatest earthbender in the world shtick and reminding her she can be both a blind 12 year old girl and the most powerful earthbender in the world, she can accept help without being weak or lesser than anyone, people want to help because they care not that they pity you
best friends 10, relationship in show 1, after show 3
Ty Lokka (I don’t like this name looks like a place but can think of nothing better)
yeah I guess ty lee’s obvious flirting is grounds for a ship but in every interaction he’s involved with someone else and doesn’t seem to like her as a person
do they even interact while on the same side?
friendly aquaintances at best, don’ t understand, 2 but above Jetkara
Tyzula (don’t like this name, like a mineral water?)
canon I don’t care it is canonically a possessive relationship
azula’s only genuine apology goes to ty lee after hurting her feelings
Azula clearly loves ty lee, her betrayal sends her mad
after a lot of therapy for azula and apologies, maybe a healthy relationship could form after the show, 8 above Jinko
Yukka (looks like a childish insult, surely someone could have thought of a better name)
Sokka’s love for Yue stays with him for the rest of his life, she was the first person to die in front of him and he sees the moon as her facing the earth
love this forbidden lovers content, sokka ships stay elite
Sokka and Yue spend as much time together as possible with secret midnight dates flirting (“you wanna do an...activity together?”)  Sokka’s reaction to Yue’s engagement shows that he wants to have a serious relationship with her, and also he thinks Hahn is a bad person for Yue, which he is.
Yue dying devastated him and he never falls out of love with Yue. her last words “[she] will always be with him” are true. swamp visions show Yue as one of the most important people in his life like a season or so after he last saw her. he wouldn’t kiss suki in front of the moon, and cries when Yue appears on stage, ignoring Suki. he talks about the moon as if it is directly Princess Yue in that cactus juice scene.
she died in his arms oh my god don’t look i crying, he feels personally responsible and guilty
yue was great even though she was the indigenous or black girl with light hair and eyes character and I wish she could have helped aang in the spirit world
despite her arranged engagement she clearly really likes sokka even though she knows nothing can happen, 9
Kataang, Zutara, Jetkara, Jinko, Maiko, Sukka, Taang, Tokka, Toko, Ty Lokka, Tyzula, Yukka

SWIM THIS WAY WE'LL DANCE AND WE'LL PLAY ITS VERY EASY COME ON IN JUST TAKE A CHANCE AND SHAKE A FIN
Oh god... The memories... Oh god...
I dont necessarily think the idea of a music minigame in KH was inherantly bad, but even as someone who was excited going in ive still gotta agree that was the worst part of kh2
ITS JUST SO BADLY EXECUTED!!!
The button presses dont match to the music AT ALL and the songs are really cheesy awful attempts to mimic the style of the little mermaid songs instead of just.. The goddamn already good songs. All the added ones are really phoned in with lyrics that are basically just WE ARE MERMAIDS AND THE SEA IS FUN over and over again, like bootleg Under The Sea when why didnt they just use fuckin Under The Sea!! Was there some sort of copyright issue that meant they were only allowed one official song?
And man the whole thing just feels like it was aimed at a lower audience than te rest of the game? Like this is a kids game yeah but its a 7 to teenage type thing and this is a 1-3 year old's first rhythym game disaster. Its got that sort of lazy 'kids will play anything' attitude to it...
And i checked and yeah the japanese songs are still really bland and boring but the dub definately added a whole new layer of crap with jow awkwardly its translated and how the singers are out of breath trying to cram 15 words into 0.2 seconds just to meet the lip flaps
And ALSO on top of all that stupidity it just retells the movie! When the first game already retold the movie! A really cool version of the movie where it was about ariel's friendship with our heroes instead of a romance with some guy, and there was all this cool crossover of the khverse rules with the plit and the implication that king triton migjt be a cynical former keyblade weilder?? So it makes no fuckin sense that ursula is suddenly not dead and ariel suddenly trusts her again and does THE SAME EXACT PLOT for the sake of some new romance with a dude who gets barely one sentence in the whole game cos its music time instead. And also repeat the same badass ursula fight we had before but now its unplayable and instead a stupid song about PRECIOUS POOPSIES that is really unfairly difficult for some reason so you HAVE TO KEEP HEARING IT AAAAAGH
But yeah man it sucks cos a rhythym game with the classic little mermaid songs sounds like a great idea and it could have been remembered fondly if they just put in some damn effort...

Jfc Yu is ripped. Ngl I imagine the Ren or Ryuji would have a body like that considering all of their acrobatic feats, but having Yu with a body like that instead of just a bit toned is really odd.
I dunno, I always thought Yu and Tatsuya (I’m bringing up Tatsuya since he has a confirmed weight and both he and Yu are about the same height) were and should be the buffest/most ripped MC’s, either cause it’s easy for them to gain muscle and tone (which is entirely possible, and just their daily activities grant them with that bod), and because it fits their images as a bancho and legit delinquent (if you’re a delinquent in Persona or even seem like one, you’re usually pretty buff, like Kanji, Ryu, Reiji, and so on), or even just the way they fight. Yu and Tatsuya are both two hand sword weilders, so they probably get a lot of exercise throwing and lugging that thing around constantly.
Ren on the other hand, either by how he gains muscle, his image (an unassuming kid), or even because of his weapon. He has a lighter, two dagger weapon, it’d make sense for him to build muscle that was more lean and be quick instead of bulky and a power hitter (which is more what Yu/Tatsuya are like). Ryuji might be in a position somewhere between Ren and Yu/Tatsuya, he’s def bulkier than Ren….. It’d make more sense for Ryu to have a body more like Yu/Tatsuya due to how he fights (more on strength, and less on speed, ironic for a track star), but he wields his weapon with one hand (plus it seems that when they are in the Metaverse they get a power boost so maybe they aren’t using as much of their natural strength as past Persona characters have been using….I mean considering if you have Ren do all the work out routines, it only effects his HP and SP, but not his base attack or even his Persona’s attack so…who knows). 8U
It seems that Yu/Tatsuya are probably more in the “bulk up with some tone” category, with Ren being the “toning” category, and Ryuji being the “toning with some bulk.” (so I’m not saying Ren/Ryu aren’t as ripped as Yu/Tatsuya, it’s just a different kind of body building I guess *shrugs* ;w;)
Tbh it’s hard to tell cause the 3D models vs 2D game cutscenes vs 3D cutscenes vs anime vs manga seem to vary in how the character is drawn. I know Yu looks a lot leaner and his anime, but bulky as heck in the game promo art so yeah…..I dunno. We’ve already seen how he looks thanks to Ultimax’s promo arts, it just seems that Saito wanted to defined his body more? ;w;

// Holy shit I guess I wrote a literal novel about this movie. Sweet Jesus. Let me just talk about some short stuff first and under the read more, will be the much more in depth, break down of the movie and certain scenes. I’m sure you all have heard most of it before with everyone doing these.
THIS ALSO MARKS THE MOMENT I’M NOT TAGGING SPOILERS ANYMORE.
The moment where Finn wakes, and asks Poe ‘Where’s Rey?” and the ambient noise + music quiets and it transitions to Ahch-To is beautiful and needs to be mentioned.
Or you know really any transition between story lines during the first half at least
Rey’s eyes mist and her lip quivers just a little when she verbalizes to Luke whats happening, and how it scares her. My poor baby.
The fact that Poe Dameron looking disheveled and dirty is like the most attractive thing needs to be mentioned.
I always forget how precious Rose is when she first introduces herself to Finn and talks with him, I fall in love all over again every time
Poe has not left Leia’s side since Leia was brought back into the ship oh wow you precious mamas boy
Ren’s line when lost in his thoughts, staring at Rey through the force for the first time “This is something else..” is too pure why haven’t we been talking about this guys
I didn't notice till now that Rey’s theme plays while she switches to the saber to train with (AND WHEN SHE TOSSES THE SABER TO BEN LATER FOR A LINE WOWZA), which is beautiful
I noticed after she slices the rock in front of her and it falls, she hides the saber behind ehr back like a little kid mY PRECIOUS BABE
PARALLELS BETWEEN TLJ and Crimson Peak, the “You are a monster” “I am” and “You told me you loved me!” “I do!” scenes, I haven't thought of the significance yet but MAN I love it
I was trying to write down all this while in theater but I got to the point where i just.. forgot to. I forgot the other things I wanted to say. Anyway the rest is long and drown out evaluations on scenes, characters ,and themes that I kinda just word-vomited out. So, sorry if its a bit choppy and all that, it is a mix from my second viewing with changes from my third viewing.
First, how the force is not defined by who wields it is a big theme this episode. Even if all ‘jedi’ and ‘sith’ are gone, the force will live. Its like an air bender saying the air will cease to exist if all the air benders were gone.
Rey over comes her thoughts on the force as I strictly black and white thing. She first thinks it as Ren is dark, he must be stopped. The Jedi and in extension Luke, is the light and thus will create a even balance. I think she has a firmer grasp on how the force works and how it relates to good versus evil, and understand enough that the force exceeds the Jedi and Sith. Of course,  I don't think she realizes this entirely till they break the saber after fighting together. He cant let go of the separation of things as much as she cant.
Luke’s line about how its vanity to think that the force’s power lies within certain people really bullet points this. Of course, she looked towards him for his guidance and knows he is right, but her vision with Ben clouds her judgement.
When the force bond is created-- and yes, this scene is still a favorite Id say-- She is quick to attack. She thinks Ren is doing it, and of course once he wraps his head around whats happening, he calms and we see his gentle, inquisitive side. I melt a little.
Another thing, a side note, more like-- I assumed after the first watch that Rey had some control, and closed herself off to him so he couldn't see where she was. But honestly, we never find out if she can see his surroundings. I can only assume, especially after seeing the hand scene from Luke’s point of view, that they exist solely in each others space, without their surroundings. “The effort would kill you” also helps this. I think their connection  was never Snoke’s doing, but the force. We can sorta see the force acts like its own entity sometimes, and since they are opposites to each other, the force brought them together. Snoke senses this and is quick to twist it to his favor. Anyways.
It isn’t till Ben tells her his side of the story of when he turned on the Jedi, she realizes he was just a kid when it happened. that it must have been terrifying to him, to have his own uncle turn on him, and no matter what motivations Luke had, they didn't make up for the trauma he gave Ben. He has turmoil, he is conflicted. I think its a moment of clarity for her, realizing there's a chance he can be changed, that she can be the light to him. She reaches out, and to her surprise he reaches back, in his weakness.
She explodes on Luke. Like in the forest, where she channels the force and overtakes Ren, we see the conflict in her, too. She demands the truth, she fights him for it. She needs to know if Ben is lying before truly pursuing him. And it is, the truth fully explains both sides. Ben’s first thought was his master turning on him, and Luke is shaded by his guilt of even thinking of harming his nephew. When Luke doesn’t comply to help her, she goes off by herself to try to bring Ben back.
At this point, I don't think she cares about where she stands within the force. She has more then just dabbled in the dark side and is a very morally grey character. Her heart is with the resistance, where the people she cares for lie, but her strength, her force power, is more so tied to the dark. I think Ben sees this and he assumes she’ll give in and stand beside him, as he grew being manipulated into thinking power is most important. Rey follows her intuition and heart and thinks Ben will return to the light because she sees a sort of fragility in his heart. I think that's the reason they both took what they saw differently.
Another thing proving that the force is what you make of it is when Snoke sees the conflict in Ben resolve itself and assumes its Ben, choosing to kill Rey. But of course, after seeing all he had done to Rey, the resolve lies in deciding to finally kill Snoke.
The fight scene is great. Even after the third time watching my heart is still racing from the point that he kills Snoke to the saber exploding. just wow. And the saber drop and catch was suuuch a sick moment. You go girl.
After the fight though, you see where their head spaces really are. As Rey runs to the spyglass and spats about saving the rest of the resistance, how he can now just give the command, He stops and stares at Snoke’s body. He’s lost, his purpose and presence in the galaxy was defined by what that man said. Without him, what was he? Who is he? Others have already speculated that he’s now having an identity crisis, and yes, I think he is. He immediately goes towards what he knows, steeling himself to preserve his power, thinking the best idea was let everything else go-- but her. He wants to have her with him, knowing his only light of guidance now lies in her. And she denied him, and he turns to anger, and he just doesn’t know where to turn. His emotions take lead as he takes position as the new Supreme leader, and even after discovering that he let them all get away, he sees her and crumbles, just in the smallest bit. HE was loosing the only one he felt he had left.
Rey is overwhelmed. She realizes, as he holds out his hand, that killing Snoke didn't end the fight, it sparked the beginning of a new one. She’d have to return to Leia with nothing, failing to give the resistance hope. He begs her, and she almost complies. She reaches out, but has a moment of hesitation. She probably thinks of Finn. of Leia, and all the other people she had met. They were good people, there were casualties in any war but they fought for good, the preservation of the innocent, the light in the force. Even if they left it all behind, the light and Dark would still be there. No, that wasn't the answer. So she changes her focus on the saber in his hand, and they fight for it.
She wakes before him. She could have seen him as dangerous, far more dangerous then he was before. But she leaves him there, unharmed. that was a fight for another day.
I think she had no idea Luke was there on Crait, even in spirit. She was worried about finding an exit for the resistance, her focus away from the split entrance to the abandoned base. She uses the force to lift the rocks and free her friends, and left with a better understanding on the force. Even as she feels Luke leave, worry crosses her features more than once. Mostly, for Luke;s safety. Did this mean he was dead? That he removed himself from the force again? was Snoke able to send troops to the island and attack him? She finds solace in Leia.
Once everyone has enters the Falcon, and she sees him again at the base of the loading platform, she struggles. Her hand hovers over the lock. She could leave the rest to find shelter in the ship while she sorts Ben out, but decides, whatever comes from that discussion will come another day. First, she needs to help get the resistance to a save hiding place while they fan the flame. She realizes Ben needs time to sort himself out before the speak again, through force bond or not.

i just ate a pint of ice cream in like fifteen minutes and here’s some quick summaries of like my favorite monster-related story worlds i’ve made up in my own trashy brain. mostly for the purpose of having something to refer back to if i start referencing related stories or characters or whatever out of the blue.
monsterverse:
surreal horror with like the tiniest touches of scifi
a pre and post and post-post-apocalyptic (depending on where on the timeline events land) world in which the appearance of rifts in reality results in a full scale invasion by monsters from another plane of existence.
the otherworld where most of the monsters come from originally is kinda inherently Vast and Unknowable. the physics are made up and the laws of nature don’t matter. in the process some of that effect leaks through the rifts too, but it’s not equally dispersed so there are places where the world still seems mostly Normal and places where its all definitely gone to hell in a handbasket.
the monsters dont follow an exact model. there are no specific species per se. humans try to classify them based on the way their presence manifests and the specific dangers they present but like their world they are kinda hard to define as a whole. some are sentient and/or sapient and some are not. some are somewhat humanoid and some are very very not.
the monsterverse is kinda my baby and because of the crazy nature of it there are a loottttt of deets i cant fit all in here but if youre at all into it keep an eye on my #monsterverse tag because i like to bring it up and expand on stuff totally at random.
the goblin market/marketverse:
high fantasy meets low/modern fantasy. a big ol mishmash of my favorite fairytale tropes.
obvs the early bones of it were heavily inspired by christina rosetti’s the goblin market as well as some other good good goblin centric media which i’ve talked about before a little. stuff like labyrinth and the princess and the goblin and so on.
though its grown to include a ton of other fantasy creatures, its still very goblin-centric and the key to the whole deal is this sorta nebulous concept of the Market which is a setting, an event, a device to explain goblin society/culture as a whole, a device to explain goblin magic, and a living bestial entity unto itself.
essentially the marketverse is a world divided into overhill, where humans reign, and underhill, where the fae reign, and the liminal spaces in between where the respective groups fuck shit up for each other in a variety of ways. humans in this verse are aware of fae, but less so as time goes on and the two divisions sorta shift apart in trajectory.
most of the time if im talking about classic fantasy creatures or fae as a general concept it has to do with this verse.
infinityverse
probably the least developed overall which is ridiculous because i’ve had some of the key characters and elements since i was like in middle school.
fantasy and scifi. lots of different areas of inspiration but probably most of all the sandman and his dark materials series and similar works.
a massive complex world in which abstract concepts like time and space and death and love manifest physically or paraphysically in the world as deities. and can be killed. and someone killed time.
important periods of the world’s unique history manifest as physical locations and operate like ordinary countries, with borders and rules about who can get in and out and who can stay. many of these zones are inhabited by nonhuman creatures. some zones are even very human-exclusionary.
deities can move freely, though they often choose a specific zone as home, as can certain people regardless of species if theyre chosen to possess a certain object called a timepiece, which automatically and accurately measures time no matter the zone and also can direct the weilder to places where for whatever reason the barrier between zones is thin enough to pass through. only one timepiece can exist in a zone at a time and its always found in the possession of a specific person designated for each zone, usually a member of whatever dominant species exists there.
i dont post much about this one because its so. confusing. why did i do this to myself? but still i have a handful of characters and ministories already sorta designated to this verse so. here we are.

7648 — Not selfishly, not stupidly, but smally
We’re in the terrible present reality where the world is being run by people who define wealth as power. This converts it not to advantage strictly speaking, but to advantage over someone else. Wealth has never been anything but purely technological, therefore completely metaphysical pattern-only and therefore recycling-abled forwardly regenerative and ever expanding. The physical resources remain constant, our knowledge what to do with them always increases, ergo our advantage (wealth) can only increase. We shrink from what we know can be done to what we choose to do. This is the simple reason why economics — from Communism to Capitalist — has been misconstrued, mislabelled, mis-enacted and misrepresented as a ‘zero sum game’ on all phases of the spectrum: never for an economic, technological, or therefore even real reason, but a strictly psychological one — in fact a very rare relative to the total human population psychological misstep. The majority of people are always looking for a win win. World War 1 had to be reshuffled as soon as the soldiers actually started talking, because if the 99% are free to communicate they will quickly and inevitably put down arms because they are looking for a win-win. It is often remarked that many psychopaths are leaders and CEOs because they are ‘good at it’. They are not at all good at it: they are less good at it than a random person picked off of the street, and their continued misunderstanding of the complexities and potentials drives us deeper and deeper off the cliff. Often, they don’t even benefit from their own mistakes. They time and again bankrupt their own countries, their own companies, their own estates, and destroy their own legacies and plans. The psychopath is petulantly impulsive, short sighted and self centred, which are not traits possible of growing success anywhere. They only temporarily bully, allowing them to temporarily steal. But what they steal is still stolen, and always leaves a repercussion. They have not added real value: they have not added to the economy at all. Humans — and our chief gift, technology — are inherently collaborative. Eventually that strategy shoots the weilder in the foot, every time. They are not strictly ‘screwing us over’ to get better, and yet they are not simply too stupid to see what they are doing either. They are horribly, horribly wrong in their fundamental view of the most basic human concepts: interaction, advantage, growth. They are only good at appearing to be what we in the public have labelled as ‘good at business’, which is a media sham and as much a sham of our own buying in. They would rather have $500 and you $0 than you each have $1000, and they are pursuing all of their economic policies to this effect. I feel bad for them, because I can hardly call it selfish — they are actually forfeiting a better world which they could have for themselves — but rather it is petty. How small of a person do you have to be to think like that? We are being led by the least of us, not selfishly, not stupidly but smally.
