Sans: The Lurker

This guy literally made the group chat, and then as soon everyone was added, he muted that shit immediately.

"Nope. This is too much."

Rarely talks in the chat, if at all, but occasionally the boys will see him pop in or see that he's online. Maybe sometimes he'll like something that Nick sent or respond with a thumbs up if you're super lucky.

The guys will start freaking out like; "SANS!? SANS IS HERE!"

Only for him to immediately leave again.

The boys have to DM Sans directly if they really need him to respond or see something.

He just prefers hanging out in person, is all. In person he's the life of the party. He's just nigh impossible to get ahold of.

Nick: The Planner

He actually uses the group chat for its intended purpose: planning in person get togethers and band rehearsals.

Always sending live show flyers or Event invites like "guys we have to go to this thing!" Only for his stuff to get buried under Jonas and Midas's constant spamming.

"I need to just invest in Remind for you pricks."

But because Nick is adamant their plans usually do come to fruition. It's just a matter of herding cats for him.

Some other uses for the group chat:

He sends lyrics and music bytes he writes & records to the chat to hear feedback.

Spreads current politics/news and information about protests, or local organizations to volunteer at.

Jonas: Meme spammer

Exactly as the name suggests. This guy fills the group chat with every meme and Tik tok he happens to find even a little funny.

He is Nick's greatest enemy, because it's always Jonas doing the burying with his silly like jokes. It's not intentional or malicious, he is just easily distracted.

Will always be trying to start a group call so he can just vibe with his friends at all hours of the night.

He and Alphys talk the most to each other. They just yap on and on.

Constantly sending videos of new tricks he learned on the skateboard, only for Midas to tell him he looks goofy.

Midas: The Instigator

This boy liiiiives for the drama.

Anytime Jonas begins sending memes while Nick is trying to plan he'll be like "epic Jonas moment," or "imagine interrupting our supreme leader," or even better, "thank the stars we changed the subject," which never fails to get both Nick and Jonas riled up

Midas just mutes with a shitty little grin on his face as chaos ensues.

It's all in good fun. He's just a much of a hype man as he is everyone's personal menace.

Especially for Maeve.

When Jonas sends videos of him doing a cool trick, Midas does the same trick with a finger skateboard and makes a joke like "mine's way sicker."

Never sends pictures of himself. He never really knows if he can trust cameras with his eyes. It's just a constant thing he has to be conscious of, unfortunately.

Alphys: Chronically online / Talkative

She is the first to open the groupchat any time someone sends anything. Immediate responses.

Some say it's being chronically online, some say it's a crippling fear of being forgotten, either way she's the first to speak.

Double texts like no one's business. No one mind's though, she's just got a lot to say and she's a lot more confident online than irl. Less stuttering.

Will ask if people want to go on a convenient store run with her at 3 am. For some reason, Sans actually responds? (it's because they're both awake. The boys will read over the chats and go insane.)

Is constantly sending pictures of cute girls like "omg, should I talk to her? Should I ask if she's gay? omg"

Only for Midas to be like "why are you taking pictures of random people."

If someone begins venting to the chat she's the one to try ad offer advice and comfort before anyone else.

Maeve: The Tea Spiller

"Guys, you're never gonna believe what happened/who I saw/what I heard--"

"Oh my god, I need to tell my girls!" she says about her groupchat filled with rambunctious boys and a lesbian.

The tea can range from political talk, petty school/subculture scene gossip all the way to, "Oh my stars, I just saw a squirrel steal an acorn from another squirrel! Someone call TMZ!"

She's the first to know about anything going on outside of the friend group.

But also the first to defuse gossip beginning to spread within the friend group.

"Hey, let's not talk behind Sans's back. If you have a problem, you need to go to him. Don't be a coward."

She usually calls Midas down from his gremlin hours and laugh the hardest at Jonas's memes.

All around amazing friend. Always keeps the conversation interesting. LOVE HER!

Bonus:

Frisk: Fit Check!

Sans reared his face in the group chat just to warn them that he was adding Frisk. (He only does this after having a discussion about it with Nick in dms to make sure it's okay and won't be weird)

Frisk doesn't really look at it a lot since she prefers just talking to Sans, but she does enjoy having access to everyone she considers her friends.

Uses the groupchat as a personal hype train. Will send a picture of her trying on a cool alternative outfit at the mall like "what do you guys think? Any suggestions to make it cooler?"

Midas, Nick and Maeve give actual fashion advice, meanwhile Alphys and Jonas are always too busy telling her how pretty she is.

Sans doesn't know how to feel about it... contemplating on kicking her but so far it's been sweet and innocent. He's weirdly more active.

Probably doesn't mean anything.

Definitely the idea that they come off as such a toxic couple with how much they argue, but half of those arguments being jokes instead of serious lol. It's always really funny to imagine them fighting and shouting one second and the next fully inhaling each other's faces.

let's start off with the fact that he fits into the delinquent trope, at least, in my eyes he does with how much retaliates(i.e Sephiroth + Shinra), BUT he does it for the right reasons ofc.

second things second....have I ever said that I'm a suckass for duality in a character? Queue in how Cloud wants to achieve a persona on the outside but is unable to contain that soft babyness within. Fucking loser I love him to death for that. let's begin with the fact that we both have been outcasted at kiddos, yeah?

Cloud hadn't been able to be accepted by Tifa's friend group, meanwhile I hadn't been able to be accepted by other kids due to my...heritage thanks to the fact that I spoke and looked different among of middle eastern group of kids

so....you can add the fact that we were both considered "weirdos" as kids to the list omg true love/s

not to mention how this both led us to being bitter? Yes I'd be lying if I said I didn't have anger issues(still do) and fought with my older brother's friends(but we're cool now). Same case with Cloud since he always put himself into fights with other kids, and eventually both of us just wanted to do smtg to be noticed/admired by someone too

Reverting back to how I explained elements of his personality that I like, which are. basically the the reasons why I love him in the first place along with other elements ofc-

so I can easily relate to his delinquency, being as I myself am a bit rebellious given the circumstance I am in irl. I disagree a lot with people around mecoughcoughfamilycoughcough I also use rebellion as like...ig a self defense mechanism to put it, which ties into how im unable to accept my own feminine urges bc like said, it's somewhat of a fear bc I dislike being categorized into the gender norm stereotype

no. Cloud didn't/doesn't hate Tifa for they way he was treated when they were younger. Like said I relate to what happened in our childhoods, and albeit some kids grow up to continue being a pain in the ass to ppl but some grow up to be friends later on, same case with me and my brother's friends. This ain't about me ofc tho but Tifa later on finds out what Cloud went through just to get her to notice him when they were younger, pair that with the trauma of the nibelheim incident and that just made them infinitely closer

I would like to add: no. Cloud sure as fuck DOES NOT think he's Zack. I would imagine he knew who Zack's parents were let alone would've recognized Aerith the moment he saw her. But did he? No, no he fuckin did not.

You'd think in a fandom that has a shitty reputation based on a few weird people making everyone look bad you'd see less of people thinking a whole community is weird just because a few weird people are making them look bad.

And like once a community (like beeduo enjoyers) gets a bad reputation from a few weird people it makes everything look that much worse. Like for example if a community not notorious for having to deal with truthers posted something like "Omg x streamer said hanging out with y streamer was the hilight of their week!" It would be fine, but if a beeduo main posted it everyone would be suspicious. Which is kind of deserved! Because for some reason beeduo specifically attract irl shippers like a moth to a flame!

And it's really uncomfortable because as much as you can SAY over and over that you're not an irl shipper, there's no way to prove it. You can SAY that you don't have an alternate Tumblr acct for truthing under a different name, but even if you let someone comb through all your files you still may be able to hide it! It's entirely based on the honors system, and I don't know about any of you but I wouldn't accuse someone of truthing without genuine, solid PROOF that they're doing something fucked up.

It's really difficult because like the line between character and cc is THERE. It is. Tubbo is not a half goat ex president with burn scars nukes and a son. Like there is a line. But with this fandom it's really hard to make like AUs and such unless it's like still a fantasy setting like medieval setting or space or something. Bc if you're like "High school au!" Then like ok... How is your version of c!Tubbo who has never fought in wars wasn't found in a box has no scars doesn't have a son etc really THAT much different from just normal Tubbo? It's very complicated and hard to do in a way that's not weird

It's just a slippery slope. Which is why I AGREE with Ranboo's phrasing! He kind of HAS to be that vague, because the more vague he is the more leeway it gives him later to call out anything specific he thinks is gross. I get that and also He Especially has every right to be wary of IRL shippers and truthers, considering his chat's recent obsession with "jokingly" calling him gay/saying he came out. (Which, by the way, INCREDIBLY hypocritical to make gay jokes abt a streamer and then accuse other people of irl shipping/truthing but I digress.)

Also I don't even know that I'd consider myself that much of a CBeeduo main! I literally have just written a handful of fics about them (2/3 of my bigger ones are mostly c! benchtrio) but for some reason these two characters have the most like complicated and vague set of boundaries for writing them literally ever. Like I don't want to write anything that makes anyone uncomfortable at all, but I also don't want to say that everything cBeeduo has ever done in canon is platonic, bc I don't know what Ranboo and Tubbo's intentions were. And as time goes on it only seems to get more and more complicated and people seem a lot less willing to tolerate other interpretations (ppl who see them as /r being called truthers, ppl who see them as /p being told they're wrong or getting made fun of).

The way I see it there are only two correct ways to handle things like this: either BLOCK the person who made the content just like you said, or try and TALK to them - y'know, like in a civil way? Tell them what part of their thing you think might be breaking boundaries, if they agree they'll change it and if they don't you can block each other? No callouts no death threats no nothing? That sure would be nice huh.
