i need an excuse to be creative in a non christmas way and this is an easy and quick way to do it!
I'm a control freak and I like things to be a touch perfect or at least well thought out so I'l do quick little blurbs for each member.
Jin - We're going to a food truck fair! I'm wearing girly pop to the core-> cute sneakers, cartigan, mom jeans and a comfy tshirt. He's going to eat to his hearts content while I munch on a hotdog and fries. He'll tell me all about the foods and where they're from and I'll eat up *pun intended* every bit of info before telling him my own knowledge on it. Then we'll get ice cream, take a seat on a bench in a public park (like central park) and people watch while we talk about personal interests until we realise the sun is setting. He'll call me a rideshare, and he'll open the door to the back of it, but before I duck to sit, he'll ask me if I'm free next week sometime. Of course I say yes.
Yoongi - We're going to a quiet, high end, private, mood lit restaurant. I'l be wearing a red wine lip and a black dress, heels to match both. He'll order something fancy and I'll ask him about his work while I tell him about mine. Conversation flows easily and we find out we have a lot more in common than we thought we did. When dessert comes around we'll move on to more personal topics like family and friends between bites of chocolate lava cake. At the end of the night, he takes care of the bill without me knowing, mr "bathroom break" bullshitter, and then he'll drop me off at my place to end the night, to make sure I got home safely.
Hobi - We're going to a local, outdoor arts market. It's huge, plenty of things and art and everything. I'm in my baggy army pants and halterneck, sleeveless grey top, combat boots, and sunnies. There's music and laughs and overall awesome vibes. He's excited for the clothing booths, I'm stoked for stickers and pins, and we walk semi-aimlessly for hours, checking out booths, grabbing an item here or there, and having really fun conversations. Having shopped till we nearly dropped, we choose a higher end burger joint for a bite to eat, and we both order the same thing, except i grab juice while he gets pop and I tell him how carbonated drinks make by brain fuzzy. He laughs at that, and we go on to chat life, work, inspirations and more, ending the evening on a high note.
Joon - We're starting at a coffee shop. I'll order tea while he grabs his own drink. I'll try to pay but he wont let me, insisting he pay. I'm wearing an old band tee with ripped straight jeans and my cons. I have my hair up, pinned with an old paintbrush. We're in my city, so instead of doing one location, I play tour guide and show him all of the hidden gems of the city while continuing out convo from ealier. He'll find some wicked thrifted art thing, I'll find a cute jacket or pants. We'll see the time together coming to an end arounf 4 o'clock and instead of ending it, we choose to continue on and turn our lunch date into lunch and dinner because the conversation is flowing so well and I know a great place down the street.
Tae - I text him to meet me at this really niche little record shop, full to the brim with CDs, vinyls and more. I'm wearing my red, wide leg satin pants with a black, semi-backless, fitted tshirt. I have on my chunky black heels and a belt to hold up the pants because they're way to big on me. He asks where the old jazz is and I show him to the back corner. We chat favourite artists for a while before branching off into life and personal interests. And once we're done, he's found a new vinyl, I'm adding another CD to my collection and we're heading to a showing of an old timey movie. After the movie we choose a hole in the wall restaurant and only order drinks and appys, to busy talking about the film we just saw.
Jimin - Museum date, followed by museum cafe date. I'm in my white, thick tank strapped, vertical blue striped sundress. It has very small slits up the front of the thighs for movement but it gives that little edge of risque I tend to like. I'm also wearing sunnies as a hair accessory to pull it away from my face, my translucent long yellow cartigan-bathingsuit cover thing that's completely suited for the vibe, and my millenial pink baby strappy heels. (this is on of my fave outfits hence the specifics). We roam the museum, sculpture, the theme is movement and we dicuss opinions on exactly that, then follow up with more personal chats. The museum is very bright with a lot of natural sunlight and oh my god is his skin ever perfect. We head to the gorgeous museum cafe afterwards and grab something light before he mentions he dances and offers to teach me a move or two when i tell him i have two left feet. I tell him I'm free now, and he takes me to his studio, then proceeds to laugh at me (in a nice, joking way) because he sees just how accurately honest i was being. But by the end of the night, i can almost manage a waltz without any toe stepping-on.
JK - Oh we're so doing the Imaginarium, followed by bowling. I'm in ripped black skinnys, a fitted white tshirt and my leather jacket with combat boots. We'll go to the imaginarium for stimmy vibes. Me and him already have told one another how much we vibe with visually and tactile stimmy things. He likes lights and music and dance, where as I like colour, auditory (Asmr), and water. So we go and explore this super rad place, joking around, hidng and surprising one another, and overall having a really fun time before heading to the bowling alley two streets down. He insists he'll let me win, which ended up being a big fat lie. But I surprise him by actually winning the first round much to his slight annoyance. It's cute, but he's happy by the end of the night because I'm only good for one round of bowling before my arm gives out. 4 rounds, 1 me 3 him turn out, and two plates of nachos demolished later, he's pulling out a helmet and taking me for a night ride on his bike through the city.
we haven’t talked in a while and that’s on me so i’ve come with a question that just popped into the dome, one of the tannies asks you out on a date, it’s your first one, where you going and more importantly what are you wearing??? 🎤 the floor is yours

— juliet on kingdom (episode 6).
juliet’s masterlist
from may 6’s episode
note: read the tweets from the bottom up 💕 keep in mind that this contains spoilers in case you want to watch the episode first :3 more under the cut bc i also went a tiny bit overboard with this 💀
— juliet’s outfit;
disclaimer: the blurring of faces in my outfit collages is in no way meant as a form of disrespect, the sole purpose is to put the focus on the hairstyle and there is absolutely no ill intent. thank you for understanding!!
when they were deciding on the groups for round 3, juliet was so happy they ended up choosing stray kids and btob
right after announcing that decision she immediately went to felix and gave him a big hug :((
but we came here to talk about the sports day 🤩
let’s make one (1) thing clear: juliet is here to make friends 😇
B U T she is also an ateez member, aka she is very competitive 💀
this is the same person who refused to sleep when playing the mafia game which was partly the reason for why it got banned from their dorms
probably texted felix the night before like “ily bestie but if we ever have to go head-to-head tmr ur going D O W N”
she said 🔥👄🔥
someone collect her please
ngl she was kinda jealous of skz’s pink outfits bc they looked so cute in them :(((
strawberry kids pls 🥺🥺🥺🥺
but her outfit was also adorable like what :((((
THE BUCKET HAT 🥺
this was also the tiniest she’s looked on kingdom since she always wore boots with some form of platforms for the performances :c
ateez and stray kids’ tables were next to each other so she finally had the opportunity to interact more with the others and not just chanlix!! (´。• ᵕ •。`)
pretty much became besties with jisung, changbin and jeongin after that day and also became friends with peniel 🤩🤩
there were still a lot of lixliet moments!!!! even in the background you could see them just chilling and having fun 🥰🥰
also bonded with changmin (from tbz, not the mc ahshjws😭) over liking horror movies and stuff
“you have a chUCKY DOLL??? CAN I SEE IT????? DO YOU HAVE A PHOTO??????? 🤩”
not them cooing over photos of his chucky doll like it’s a baby/pet photo 💀
ateez and the boyz: 👁👄👁 should we be afraid orrr...?
hongjoong, in the distance: you can admire it but don’t you dare bring one home
okay the vaulting competition ✨
while watching sf9 go she was like “:ccc but i’m already shorter than the first level (1.7m)” 💀
she got really shy when changmin read that she has 10 years of ballet experience uwu
changmin, jokingly: oh~ she’s shorter than the box already
juliet: ☹️☹️🥺🥺
changmin: whdjgjwhd sorry sorry sorry 😭
eunkwang: hey!!!! don’t make the baby sad!!!!!!!
she killed it!! mostly bc of her flexibility as she could lift her legs high enough to not touch the box!!
she made it past 2.2m so that’s pretty cool 🤩
eunkwang: maybe it has to do with being born in australia and being around kangaroos
gave the cameras a 🥰✌️🕺🏻😚 after every successful jump
everyone else being her biggest hypemen 😌 the privilege smh
okay but one time as she was running up to the box her hat flew off and she went “nooooo” in tiny and ran back to get it
literally everyone on set went 🥺🥺🥺🥺🥺🥺🥺🥺🥺🥺🥺🥺🥺🥺🥺🥺🥺 uwu
even the judge/referee laughed 😭
you know how people are like “hold my xxx”
that was juliet but with her bucket hat 💀💀
for her last attempt at 2.3m she uhhh... kinda body-slammed right into the box and knocked it over so they both fell onto the mat 🤕🤕
cue yunho, wooyoung, chan and minhyuk who immediately rushed up to her to see if she was okay :(
the others were like “is she okay???? :c”
ngl it hurt quite a bit but she was also very giggly bc she didn’t expect herself to make it that far
but after the adrenaline wore off she definitely felt the pain :(
so they had to vote for the visual king right
mnet was like ok juliet u can vote for the visual king but they can’t vote for u bc we don’t wanna start anything so u can be the visual queen and win by default 😄
“should i be insulted that they made me win by default 😅😅😅”
yes juliet actually said that on camera and they left it in 💀💀
she still took the selfie and mnet put hers up on the board with everyone else’s but with a little crown over hers that said ‘visual queen’ 💀💀💀💀💀
she was pretty embarrassed by that ngl but sigh what else can she do 😔
hyunjae, pointing to the tiny crown over juliet’s selfie: ohhhhhh does this mean we can’t vote for juliet?
eric: if we could she’d probably win by a landslide
sir we caught u in 4k 👁👁
when seonghwa said he thought felix was cute and wanted to adopt him as a little brother though 🥺
juliet went (◕‿◕) and immediately dragged him over to felix like “OI MATE HERE’S YOUR NEW FRIEND SEONGHWA”
Little Miss Indecisive makes a reappearance bc whO SHOULD SHE VOTE FOR?????
“can i vote for someone not on the show?”
she didn’t actually say that don’t worry
she ended up voting for minhyuk!!!
mostly bc she genuinely thought he was really cool but also bc they were far apart enough in age that people would be less likely to spread rumours
it do be like that sometimes :/
“minhyuk-sunbaenim was very charismatic in their performance from last round, and he was so cool just now during the vaulting competition so i’m going to vote for him!”
she did write a tiny disclaimer on her paper slip that said “everyone is handsome!! <3” though 🥺
WHEN FELIX PLACED 2ND IN THE VISUAL KING THINGY
biggest hypewoman
“YEAHHH FELIX THAT’S MY CUTE BESTIE RIGHT THERE EVERYONE SHUT UP AND LOOK AT HIM!!! FELIX VISUAL KING!!!!! SO TRUE BESTIE!!!!!!!!!”
hwjdbwjjs before they announced minhyuk as first the mcs asked juliet who she voted for and she was so shy when she said she voted for him 😭😭😭
she didn’t take part in the balloon snake tag game and the relay bc she was pretty exhausted from the vaulting (and also bc the boys told her not to bc they could tell she was still slightly in pain after she slammed into the box 🥺)
so instead she became everyone’s designated cheerleader :3
when wooyoung came first in the relay she was so proud!!!!
right after he crossed the finishing line she ran up to him and tackled him in a big hug :ccc
then she went up to eunkwang and asked if he was okay bc he fell during the relay :((((
in conclusion she had so much fun that day and was happy to make even more frens 🥰
— fan reactions;
a/n: this episode was so fun 😭 pls the vaulting game was so funny to watch ahdjjwjs but they all did so well???? i wouldn’t even make it past the first level so idk how minhyuk and chan both managed to go over 2.3m 😭 tbz were also so good at it though???? pls the way juyeon and changmin made it look so easy 👁👄👁 also eric was out for blood in the balloon snake tag game ahjshwjsb we stan 🤩 let me know what you think!! your support really means a lot to me and is what keeps me motivated so thank you all sm 💕💕

okay I need your opinion: since in your demigod!au the 00 line is clearly korean, either the mortal parent is korean or the god parent takes the form of a korean mortal: if it was the god parent (Poseidon, Athena, Apollo, Ares), which korean celebrity would they look like in your au? I know it’s random but I just thought it would be funny universe, like imagine idk Rain being like “Hey I’m your father [insert greek god name]” lol
FSJKLKS NOT RAINNNNN 😭😭😭 every time rain is mentioned i just remember that clip of jyp fighting for his life trying to hit a high note and rain just beside him like 🤨🤨🤨 and then clapping like nothing happened
anyways thank you so much for sending this in, my love!! i had so much fun thinking of these and may have gone a bit overboard with adding pics but i just think it's such a cool concept 🤩 shoutout to cat for helping me out 💕
choi sooyoung / yang mi as athena ; of course renjun is chinese but we know he grew up in jilin where there are many ethnic koreans so i included both a korean and chinese actress! this was just an excuse to post more pretty pics of women tbh 🥰 i mean COME ONNNN they’re giving us girlboss ceo independent women that use men’s tears to keep them young 🥵🥵🥵
seo kangjoon as poseidon ; LOOK AT HIS EYES OMFGGGG 🤩🤩🤩 this was honestly the hardest to pick bc i wanted to do logan lerman justice since he is the TRUE poseidon 😍 i just think poseidon would be very pretty as a human idc what the books said and seo kangjoon is vvv pretty <3 i mean he has to look good to be able to have children like moon and hyuck
also moon said she was okay with rain being her father too so rain is the backup option
park hyungsik as apollo ; i had the same thought process like i did with poseidon tbh 🤧 apollo is pretty and so is park hyungsik <3 idk if you’ve seen his drama “strong woman do bong soon” but he plays a rich himbo and i would imagine that’s what apollo would be like
jang hyuk as ares ; i was originally going to pick ma dongseok but i feel like that was such a stereotypical “strong bulky man” choice for ares just bc he’s the god of war so i went with jang hyuk! he’s still a bit rugged looking but not someone you would immediately think about when you think of ares!
here are some honorable mentions because i wanted to (no explanation needed) <3
taeyeon as artemis
han sohee as persephone

Midsummer pt. 2: JJ Maybank
JJ x Reader
MASTERLIST
word count: over 6.8k (I went a little overboard lol)
a/n: first off, I'd like to say holy moly you guys are amazing I never thought I'd get over 600 notes on anything let alone something I wrote. Your kind words have bee so motivating so I definitely had to write a part 2 for everyone. Second, I just want to thank everyone who has messaged, reblogged, liked anything I've written. It's so fulfilling to know someone enjoys my stuff. You guys are he best <3
~
The last time JJ was interested in one girl at a time, was back when his only example of what a woman was, was in an inappropriate magazine. It's not like he never tried to like one girl at a time, but when he tried, something better always came along to distract him. JJ was curious by nature to put it lightly. The saying 'never judge a book by it's cover' was not true when it came to JJ. Usually, whatever you judged about him was right. He had been around obx with many Pogue ladies and flaunted it. He was proud being a bachelor that got around and rarely anyone held that against him.
But now, he was done for. By a Kook no less. A stupid Kook that JJ had met once a long time ago.
It was a stupid crush. Nothing he couldn't handle. His number of crushes spanned a long and thorough list. To say he was a pro at getting his crushes interested in him was an understatement. Then he saw you with Rafe and everything he felt for you disappeared. Disappeared might not be a good word. More like, he suppressed every feeling he felt for you the day he met you at the station until he could feel nothing at all. It was truly a tragic day for JJ when he found out you were dating Rafe. Then, JJ did what he did the best; he found another girl to distract himself with.
Just when he thought he was getting over the tragic situation, you had shown up at the Midsummer party. He hadn't thought about you, or your gorgeous smile or your pretty hair for a few weeks now and just as he thought he was turning a corner, you stood in front of him and demanded two sodas. You had not recognized him. He could tell. You knew who he was, of course, after you rudely told him what you thought of him, but you didn't remember your run in at the station months ago. He knew that if you were ever gonna remember him this time, he had to pull out all the stops. That meant he had to be extra charming and extra funny.
JJ wanted to slap himself. He couldn't believe he had put himself in this situation. He wished that you meant nothing. Every other Kook girl meant nothing to him (except Kie of course, but that's different), so why were you different?
He couldn't think too much about it. If he did, he would have to self analyze and that's something he rarely did. So, he just acted like an asshole to you. Being difficult with girls always worked. JJ knew the less you cared about their existence, the more they chased. And that might be true for the other girls JJ liked but definitely not you. He felt like he was always losing a battle whenever he spoke to you. You were super defensive the entire time he tried to talk to you. He couldn't get a word in edgewise and it didn't help that your image of him was already tainted.
So, he tried another approach. He tried to be himself. This would be anyone's first choice but we are talking about JJ. He's had to put up so many barriers so people don't see the real him, it was hard to keep track of which one to use. There was the lady's man JJ, the Pogue JJ, the obedient son, the annoying friend, and even the protector. JJ was just never truly himself. Of course his friends knew this and they accepted any form of JJ, but he knew you wouldn't. So, he just was himself.
And the next thing he knows, you're kissing him. Technically, he leaned in first, but you definitely closed the gap between you two which had to count for something.
Maybe it was because he liked you so much, or maybe it was because of the gin he downed before dancing with you, but your kisses made him feel like he was in fifth grade. Every kiss felt like the first one. He felt things he'd never felt before; by a Kook nonetheless.
And then, too soon, the moment was interrupted by a busboy. Gerald and his ability to cock block. But he had agreed to meet with you again, as if you were thirteen meeting at a tree house, and he couldn't believe it. You wanted to see him again. You knew who he was, you had learned things about him, and still wanted to see him. Never, and JJ means never, had a girl seen this much of him and still wanted to stay.
That night, JJ couldn't sleep. Even though JB had told him where the gold was and how they were gonna get it, he still would've been able to sleep if it were not for his mind racing with you. He even let his dad yell at him that night. He was in too much of a good mood.
That is, until JB was pushed off a ledge and was rushed to the hospital. Sarah was with him when it happened and JJ had been in the car, waiting for his friend. JB was JJ's family, along with the rest of his friends. JB had let him sleep over countless times when JJ's dad had been especially violent. He had helped JJ in every situation possible and JJ knew he could never repay him. So, to see JB asleep in the hospital with a cast, made his blood boil. And when he found out it was Topper's fault, he wanted to kill Topper himself. The only thing that held him back from doing so was staying in the hospital and waiting for JB to be alright. If JB had woken up any time before, maybe JJ would've had time to beat Topper's ass.
Kie, Pope, and JJ all waited together in the waiting room until there was an update on JB. They knew it wasn't as serious but they were determined to stay until their friend woke up. If it meant staying the whole day, then that's what they'd have to do. And so they did. They stayed well into the afternoon, with Sarah. She was in and out of the hospital room he was in and giving Kie, Pope, and JJ updates every time she did. They even got to talking and, even though Kie and Sarah barely spoke, Sarah was nice to them. She was one of the only Kooks that was nice to them.
The topic of Kooks made another memory resurface. JJ promised you he'd meet you at Sarah's house to "grab his keys" but, when JJ had checked the time, he was already late. He cursed at himself. He had unintentionally stood you up. You were for sure not gonna want to speak to him ever again and he had basically ruined any chance he had with you. He didn't want to tell his friends but they had noticed that once JJ was aware of the time, he had gotten more restless.
Kie had tried to ask him what was wrong but JJ was too upset to answer.
He felt like such an idiot.
Until he saw you enter the waiting room. He almost gasped but held it in, not to draw too much attention to himself. You barely looked at him as you walked in.
You wore black ripped jean shorts and a yellow tank top. You had your hair brushed into a loose braid and you had makeup on. You had done all of this because you were supposed to meet JJ but he had bailed on you. You had waited at Sarah's house for over an hour but, 20 minutes after he would've arrived, you knew he wasn't coming. You felt like an idiot. You had fallen for the oldest and dumbest trick in the book. Then, you got news of what happened to John B. and you realized that's probably why JJ got held up. You were still upset, but at least JJ had a good reason.
When you saw him sitting down in the waiting room, your stomach felt like it was in your throat. Seeing him in daylight was very different to seeing JJ in the dark. At least in the dark, you didn't see the extent of his scars. Now that you did, you felt like crying for him. You can't believe someone did that to him. In the dark, you didn't have to see him completely and you could get away with not looking in his eyes, since that always made you nervous. But now, you could see JJ completely and he was even more gorgeous in the light.
As you went to comfort Sarah, you pretended he wasn't there. You could tell, even with your back turned to him as you hugged Sarah, he was watching you. You felt his eyes burn into your back. But you were here for Sarah, that's it.
"Thanks for being here." Sarah said to you, letting out of your for a moment and looking to the hallway. "I should go and see how he's doing."
You nodded. "Yes, of course. Let me know if there's anything I can do."
Sarah smiled. "You being here is enough." And with that, she was walking back to John B.'s room.
You said hello to Kiara first. You had known her before today and you had always been polite to each other, even though Sarah and her didn't get along. When they did, all three of you hung out and had so much fun. You missed having her as a friend.
"Hey," you said, opening your arms for a hug. Kiara got up from her place in the chair and hugged you for a moment. Things were still a little awkward. "How are you?"
Kiara shrugged. "We just want to make sure John B. is okay."
I nodded. "I'll stay and maybe we can catch up?"
You knew she had a little resentment towards you and you didn't blame her. Sarah believed wholeheartedly that Kiara was the one that called the police on a party she had thrown a while ago and that's one of the reasons they're not friends anymore. Once Sarah let it slip that Kiara called the cops, Kiara was basically blacklisted whenever there was a party. Now, you were hoping to put that all behind you if it meant being Kiara's friend.
Kiara smiled but you could tell she was trying to suppress it. "I'd like that."
You then looked to a boy you knew was named Pope. You knew Pope's dad because he had once brought some groceries to your house at the last minute. It had been one of your mom's charity events and she had run out of a couple items. It was a Saturday night and Mr. Heyward was probably with his family but he got the items for her and delivered them to your house very quickly. Pope had been in a club you used to be in before you quit because Rafe said it took up too much of your time (you wanted to roll your eyes as you remembered all the shit you did to make him happy). Pope has always been nice to you when you were still in that club and when you voiced an idea, he always tried to back you up. You didn't know him that well but you knew him enough to give him a hug. He gladly accepted it, mumbling a hello as you hugged him.
"How are you? I haven't seen you in awhile." You stated, letting go of Pope and looking at him.
He struggled to meet your gaze, a bit embarrassed. You didn't know why but you figured that was just Pope's personality. "Not too bad. I'm president now."
You smiled. "That's so good to hear."
You couldn't believe he remembered that. Although he probably did remember it because the club was filled with Kooks and whenever they tried to pick on Pope, you always called them out. Even though you were grateful for his support, he was just as grateful for yours.
Pope nodded at you, smiling again. You could tell Kiara and Pope felt awkward. Mostly because you were one of the only Kooks that treated them nicely. Which was sad because you didn't understand why Kooks and Pogues didn't get along. Other than the fact that most of the Kooks (you're thinking of Topper and Rafe when you say most) are greedy, selfish assholes. You wanted them to like you really badly. One of the reasons was because they were Sarah and John B.'s friends. The other reason was because of the boy beside Pope, who was standing as well, and watching you closely.
JJ hadn't said one word to you since you entered the waiting room and you knew why. He wasn't sure if you guys should act like you know each other or not. To be honest, you weren't sure either. He had blown you off, for good reason, but then again, he could've gotten a message to you that he was in the hospital. You didn't have to find out from Ward, who drove you to the hospital. You had been waiting outside for an hour once Ward had pulled into the driveway. You asked him where Sarah was and he explained what had happened to John B. and offered you a ride. He had to pick up clean clothes for John B. since he was waking up soon.
You instantly knew why JJ never showed up but he could've easily asked Sarah to call you to let you know why he never arrived. The only explanation for not asking Sarah was because he didn't want anyone to know about what happened. This annoyed you.
When you had gone to bed the night before, you fell asleep to thoughts of JJ and what it would be like to be his girlfriend. Now, you had a rude awakening. He didn't want anyone to know that you had kissed. He was embarrassed to like a Kook.
So, being the salty teen you were, you decided to give him a taste of his own medicine. You were gonna pretend as if you had no idea who he was.
You stuck out your hand, waiting for him to shake it. He looked down at it, perplexed, and slowly extended his hand to shake yours. Once your hands had shaken, you spoke, "Nice to meet you. What's your name?"
JJ's brows furrowed but he answered you. "JJ."
He knew for sure that you were pissed. Before, he had only a small inclination that you were pissed but he now knew for 100% certainty, you were upset. He knew he should've at least tried to call you. He knew Sarah had your number and he knew it would be easy to ask Sarah for your number to call you but he got scared. He didn't know if you wanted anyone to know you guys were macking and he didn't want to embarrass you. He thought it wouldn't be the proudest thing for people to know you kissed JJ Maybank. For a Kook, you could get made fun of for that. So, he played it safe and didn't do anything. But now, he suffered the consequences. You were pissed. If he could only get you alone to explain.
"Cool." You said, smiling at him the way you would a stranger.
JJ looked to Pope and Kie, both of them looking back and forth from between the two of you. You could tell they thought this exchange was funny. You said nothing to JJ after that and just sat down in the chair across from Kiara. The both of you started a conversation as JJ and Pope stayed silent. You did talk about school but you mostly spoke about your summer so far. She had said it had been pretty uninteresting while you said the same. Although it was not over yet, you figured now it would be just like all the summer's before. Granted, you had thought it might be different now that you had met JJ but currently he was an idiot and you rather not spend a summer with someone who was embarrassed to be with you (even though that wasn't the case).
In the middle of your conversation with Kiara about the new documentary she was watching, JJ had gotten up from his place in the chair and mumbled that he had to go to the bathroom. You paid no attention to what he said but Pope and Kiara both nodded, telling him they could care less. You had continued your conversation with her for a minute more before your mind trailed to what JJ was doing. Obviously there was the option that he actually had to go to the bathroom, but then why would he announce it like that? You wondered whether or not he actually had to go to the bathroom or maybe it was a way of telling you he had to speak to you.
You decided the only way to figure out what the answer was, was to wait outside the men's bathroom to see if JJ actually wanted to talk to you or not. Granted, this was about the creepiest thing you could ever do but it was JJ and you were sure he had no reservations about you waiting outside the bathroom for him. In a weird way, it kinda comforted you to know anything weird you had done, JJ had probably done something weirder and would never judge you.
"I'm gonna go get some coffee," you announced to Kiara, who had finished speaking and was waiting for your response. "Want some?"
Kiara shook her head. "Nah, already had some."
You looked to Pope and raised your brows. He shook her head. "No, I already had some too."
You nodded and got up from your seat. "Well, I'm getting some. I'll be back in a second."
And with that, you were out of the waiting room and making your way to the men's bathroom. There was a sign that pointed you in the direction of the bathroom so you figured that it wasn't that far away. You passed a couple of hospital rooms and were not surprised to see most of the doors closed. They probably didn't want a nosy teenager peeking in anyways.
You always hated hospitals. You had to get a cast once when you broke your arm when you were younger and ever since, you hated the smell of hospitals. It smelled too clean. You also didn't like the idea that a floor beneath you, a woman was giving birth and a floor above you, someone could be dying.
As you passed the janitors closet, you were too deep in your thoughts to realize that the closet door was a little open. And when you passed it, a hand came out of the door and grabbed onto you. You didn't even have time to scream. The hand pulled you into the closet and closed the door behind you before you even had time to react. The closet was dimly lit and filled with cleaning supplies such as brooms and chemicals. The smell inside wasn't as bad as the smell outside though. You were about to fight back when you saw the person who had grabbed you.
It was JJ. He was smirking at you as he watched you catch your breath.
"What the hell?" You whisper - yell, scared that someone you know this time could hear you.
"We should really stop meeting like this." He said, the stupid smirk you liked so much still on his lips.
You had to remind yourself you were upset with him. "We didn't meet like this. You kidnapped me."
JJ rolled his eyes, the same stupid smirk on his lips. You had to admit, he looked so hot right now. He had a black shirt on with gray swim trunks. His hair was a fluffy mess and his scars were still apparent. He looked like a mess but you still wanted to kiss him. You wanted to scream. You asked yourself, what was wrong with you?
"You can leave any time you want." JJ countered, pointing towards the closed door.
You looked to the door, then back at him. "Tell me what you want and then I will."
JJ nods, finally feeling like he might have a good chance in explaining his stupid actions. "I know I didn't call you and I'm sorry. I didn't know if you wanted everyone to know about us or not."
You felt a smile on your lips. You wished he could be more mean. You liked JJ too much. Still defending yourself, you acted difficult. "You're right. We shouldn't tell anyone until we figure this," you said, motioning between the two of you. "out."
JJ nodded, this time, his smirk turning into a full smile. "So there is something?"
You roll your eyes, still acting a little difficult. "I never said that."
JJ steps forward, closer to you, and looks down at your lips. "I think that's exactly what you said."
You shook your head. "Stop." You didn't mean it. JJ smirks, biting his lip. You wanted to scream again. What the hell was this boy doing to you? In seconds, you could go from completely angry at him, to wanting to kiss him. No one ever made you feel like this. Yet again, you were so surprised to find yourself liking JJ Maybank. A boy that 72 hours ago, you didn't even care about.
"Stop what -?" JJ was about to ask you something and be annoying but you weren't in the mood.
In seconds, your arms were wrapped around his neck and you were pulling him closer to you. The second your lips touched, it was as if no time passed at all. You were no longer worried about fighting with JJ and pretending you were mad. You got lost when you kissed him. And it still felt so wonderful, even after all that's happened. When you kissed JJ, it was as if there was no one else. It was just you and him. He made kissing, even in a janitor's closet, the best thing to ever happen to you.
JJ's arms snake around your waist as he pulls you closer. Now, you're chest to chest. You can feel his heartbeat through his chest and you're sure he can feel yours too. It comforts you to know he reacts the same way to you kissing him.
You break away for one second, trying to catch your breath. JJ doesn't give you a chance to breathe though because the second you break away, his lips are on your cheek, kissing his way down to your neck. Your knees go weak. This gives JJ the opportunity to push you up against the wall. There's a bunch of equipment in here but you guys make it work. His hands rest on the sides of your waist as his lips travel to your collarbone. You tilt your head back and close your eyes again. And you thought kissing JJ on the lips was the best thing ever.
Although you loved this, you wanted to feel his lips on yours again and desperately cupped his face and moved it away from your neck and back onto your lips. Right before your lips touched his again, you kissed his jaw once. You could tell this had a huge effect on JJ because his hands instinctively came up to cup your jaw. Once your lips touched, your hands moved to his chest again and they rested there as you continued to make out.
He still tasted good which surprised you the most. You rarely had a good story of a Pogue kissing someone and them saying they tasted like mint so this only made you kiss him deeper.
Finally, you both had to break away. You both were running out of air. You were breathing too heavily but didn't notice until JJ pulled away first. As you both caught your breath, you looked at eachother. You were both smiling so wide, your cheeks were starting to hurt. This reminded you of last night, when you both were smiling like madmen after your first kiss. And still, after so many other kisses, it still felt like the first time.
"Is it always like that?" JJ asked, quieting chuckling. He was wiping the gloss he had on his lips, something you had on your lips before they were wiped off.
You shook your head. "Never."
JJ smirked. "I'd say I'm the best kisser you've had."
You rolled your eyes. It was the truth but you would never admit it. "I haven't kissed many people."
JJ raised his brows, creases forming on his forehead. "How many people have you kissed?"
You bit your bottom lip. They were still tingling from JJ's kisses. "None of your business."
JJ rolled his eyes. "Don't you wanna know how many I have kissed?"
You did. But you couldn't let him know that. "No. I have my own guesses."
JJ smiled. "Yeah? What's your guess?"
You shrugged. "Like one hundred thousand or something."
JJ laughed aloud. You didn't care if anyone heard this time, you loved hearing him laugh. "Nice try. It's actually one million."
You knew he was joking just by the tone of his voice. "Ah, makes sense."
JJ raised his brows again. "So, your saying I'm a good kisser?"
You rolled your eyes. "I just meant you have a lot of practice. Doesn't mean you're good."
JJ nodded, a sly smirk on his lips. "If I'm so bad, why do you want to kiss me?"
You smiled, your arms coming up to wrap around his neck. "Someone's gotta teach ya."
You leaned forward and kissed him once again. He instantly kissed you back, his hands wrapping around your waist. The kiss only lasted five seconds but you savoured it. JJ was a good kisser, even though you didn't want to admit it. He was passionate and strong, something you had never experienced with anyone you kissed.
Once you pulled away from him, he spoke again. "Can I come by your house at, like, seven?"
You squint your eyes at him. "Yeah, sure. Why?"
JJ shrugged. "We can't go out together. I just kissed you in a janitor's closet. You deserve some food at least."
I smiled. "Okay. I'll wait for you at my house at seven. Do you know where I live?"
JJ nodded. "I mowed your lawn in May."
You pushed your brows together. "Seriously?" How the hell did you not remember this?
JJ nodded. "I don't expect you to remember. You were hanging out with Sarah and it was only for one weekend."
You shrugged, frowning at him. "I'm sorry. I'm sure I would've said hi."
Although you said this, JJ and you both knew that this was not true. You barely acknowledged his existence until last night so it wasn't a surprise to either of you that you forgot he mowed your lawn.
"It's okay. I got an amazing view of your bedroom window from where I was." JJ joked, snickering softly.
You gasped, slapping him on the chest. "Perv!"
JJ continued to laugh, clutching his chest. "Sorry!"
You shook your head laughing along with him. Once your laughter died down, you spoke, "I'm gotta go. Kiara and Pope are probably wondering where I am. See you soon."
JJ nodded. "See ya."
You both looked at each other and smiled one more time, before you opened the closet door and ran back to the waiting room. For the second time since you met JJ, you made sure not to say goodbye. It wasn't goodbye yet.
~
John B. had woken up soon after you entered the waiting room. Kiara had asked you where your coffee was and you made up an excuse , saying you drank it on your way here. You hoped it didn't look too suspicious as JJ returned only moments later, saying there was a line to get onto the bathroom. You wanted to slap him for coming up with such a lame excuse but yours wasn't any better.
Once John B. was woken up, Kiara, Pope, and JJ visited him while you waited outside for them to finish. Although you knew John B. was a nice guy, you were still nervous to meet him. After they exited his room, it was your turn.
Your first encounter with John B. was excellent. Even though he was still groggy, he was polite and super enthusiastic about meeting you. Apparently Sarah had said such nice things. And the way John B. and Sarah looked at each other, you knew that they were in love. You were so happy for her. You told John B. that if he needed anything, you were there for him but apparently that wasn't necessary. Ward had decided to foster John B. which meant he was going to start to live with Ward, Sarah and their family. You had known about John B.'s predicament with the foster care system so you were relieved to hear this.
Once John B. was ready to be discharged, Ward got John B. and Sarah into the car before asking if you needed a ride. Ward was like your uncle so you, of course, said yes.
When we dropped you off at your house, your parents still weren't home. You had an older sibling who was probably out with their friends so you had the house to yourself. This meant you had hours to spend stressing about when JJ would come. You planned your outfit and makeup before anyone got home because you were really nervous. You wondered what food he would bring, what he would want to do in your room, and just about everything down to the last detail. It was friday night, so your parents wouldn't be home until midnight. Friday nights were their date nights.
Your older sibling would probably be in their room all night so at least you didn't have to worry about them. All you had to worry about was yourself.
You rearrange your room about five times. At first, the stuff on your cabinet was too messy, then it seemed too clean. You didn't want JJ to think you had gone through all this trouble to clean for him. Then you messed it up too much. You made your head, then messed it up to look like you had been sitting in it all day. You threw all of your stuffed animals from when you were a child in your closet. You would die of embarrassment if JJ saw any of your stuffed animals. The teasing would never end.
You busied yourself with TV and reading until 6pm rolled by. You decided one hour gave you enough time to get ready. You took a quick shower and did some simple makeup. You didn't want to put too much effort in. You over thought everything. You changed your top from the tank top to a long sleeve grey shirt but you kept your black ripped jean shorts. The sun was setting and it was getting chilly. You dried your hair and kept it down and you sprayed yourself with ungodly amounts of perfume. You were stressing too much.
Finally 7pm rolled around. And JJ was five minutes late. A small voice in your head told you that he had bailed on you for real this time but you chose not to listen to it. He would be here.
Just when you were about to believe that small voice, you heard a knocking on your bedroom window. Confused, you ignored it but when the second knock came from your window, you decided to check it out. What you saw made you laugh. JJ was climbing up your wall, a backpack around his shoulders. You were gripping the bones growing from your house to pull himself closer to your window. When he looked up to see you, he smirked.
You opened your window and reached out your hand. He was close enough for you to take it and you pulled him up. You could only get him halfway through the window. Your arm was aching and you had to let him go. It didn't matter because after you let go, he pushed his way through.
Finally, when he got all the way through, you spoke, "Are you alright?"
JJ shrugged. "Only a little internal bleeding."
You rolled your eyes and quickly slapped his shoulders. "What the hell were you thinking? Don't you know how to use the front door?"
JJ laughed. "I thought climbing through your window would make me look cooler."
You shook your head. "It made you look dumber."
JJ dropped his backpack on the floor. "You can never say I didn't almost die for you."
You rolled your eyes. "Now I'm wishing I didn't pull you up."
"Ah," JJ chuckled, bending over and unzipping his backpack. "then you wouldn't have this." He then pulled out a brown bag, waving it in your face.
You quickly grabbed it from him. "What is it?" You answered your own question by opening the brown bag and pulling out Chinese food. Inside were containers of noodles, chicken balls, and rice. Your mouth watered. You felt like you hadn't eaten all day.
JJ chuckled. "Someone's hungry."
You placed the food on your desk, moving your papers and laptop to the side. "That's the only reason I wanted you to come."
You moved across your room to get a second chair for JJ and once you gave it to him, you both sat down to eat.
JJ pulled out the plastic forks and knives and gave one set to you. You took it eagerly and opened up the first container with noodles. You both started to eat.
JJ scoffed at your response. "You only wanted me here so I could bring you food?"
You nodded, your mouth filled with noodles already. Once you swallowed, you spoke. "Of course."
JJ shrugged. "Honestly, I only came here to get laid. I knew Chinese food was the way to your heart."
You scoffed, setting down your fork to slap JJ on the shoulder again. You knew he was joking so you played along. "Asshole. Now you're definitely not getting laid."
JJ rolled his eyes, but said nothing. He shoved another fork of noodles in his mouth and you did the same. You both talked throughout the meal. Whenever your mouths were empty, you responded to each other and spoke. You spoke about so many things. You talked about school, your families and eventually got to the subject of John B. and how he was holding up in Sarah's home. JJ joked about how jealous he was but you knew he was serious. You told him not to worry and one day maybe he'd have a big house like Ward's. He said nothing for a while after that and you knew why. He didn't believe he'd ever get out of the situation he was in now.
You wanted to make him feel better but you didn't know how. So, you kissed him. It was slow and passionate and it made you feel light as a feather. You couldn't believe kissing someone could feel this good.
Once you broke away from each other, JJ spoke first. "I'm guessing one."
You knew this was a way to divert from what you were talking about before but you were still confused. "What?"
"I'm guessing you've only kissed one person." JJ clarified, placing his fork down and reaching up to brush some hair out of your face.
The two of you were still sitting beside each other at your desk but your eyes instinctively made a glance at your bed. Once you looked back at JJ, you answered him. "You're wrong. It's actually two."
JJ snickered. "That's adorable."
You pinched his arm and you smiled when he yelped out in pain. "Ass."
"This is where you ask me." JJ pointed out, his hand resting on your knee.
You rolled your eyes. "I seriously have no idea."
JJ shrugged his shoulders. "It's ten."
You furrowed your brows. That seemed so low. "Ten?" JJ could tell you were confused.
"I don't really kiss many people. Makes me feel weird." JJ shrugged again, picking up his fork and taking the last bite of a chicken ball.
"Weird?" You questioned.
"Yeah," JJ nodded before swallowing and continuing. "I have to really like someone to kiss them."
You blushed, looking away from him. That meant he really liked you because all you had been doing was kissing. Your throat felt so dry. JJ really was making you nervous.
"You really like me?" You asked, looking back at him and leaning forward.
JJ smirked, leaning forward to kiss you quickly. "Yes."
"What was your first kiss like?" You asked, grabbing his hand.
He looked at where your hands touched, then looked back at you. "I was like twelve. It was Kie's cousin visiting from Canada or something. She was my age. I was shitting my pants." JJ smiles as he retells the story. You leaned forward, very interested. "I never thought about girls before that and then we were just goofing around and she asked me if I kissed anyone. I said no and then she just kissed me."
"Aw," You cooed, smiling softly. "That's adorable."
JJ shrugged, smiling. "Not really. The poor girl never talked to me again. Said I had bad breath."
You giggled. "I know what she means."
JJ gasped. "Really?"
Before you had time to react, JJ stood up and leaned on top of you, his hands instantly going to your sides to tickle you. Your legs shut up and you dashed across your room but he soon caught up to you and grabbed a hold of your sides. You screamed in terror and demanded he let you go. He couldn't completely understand you though because you were laughing so hard. You kicked his shin and made a run across your bed but before you could get to your door, he tackled you, pushing you onto your bed.
"JJ!" You laughed, JJ continuing to tickle your side. You kicked and screamed but it was no use, you were stronger.
"Say I'm the best kisser!" He only laughed, loving that you were so ticklish.
"You're the best!" You screamed, laughed hysterically. "Stop!"
Finally he stopped and lay on his back. He was laughing so hard and you were out of breath from the screaming. Once you caught your breath, you turned onto your stomach and let a hand rest on his chest.
"That wasn't funny." You frowned, a smile showing through.
JJ shrugged. "Got you to admit the truth though."
You leaned closer to his face. "Whatever."
JJ instantly closed the gap, kissing your lips. This time, your legs were intertwined as you kissed. JJ's hands cupped your face as you kissed and your hands made their way to his waist. You just lay there, kissing each other. This was so easy. Being with JJ was so easy. You couldn't believe that this is what you were missing. This time, although he tasted like mint, he smelled divine. You didn't know what it was until you parted. Once you did, you realized it was sea salt. Ye smelled like the ocean. Your mom was always telling you that you smelled like the ocean and how bad it was but now, you had found someone who was the same.
This made you want to kiss him again. You never got a chance to because JJ spoke, "what was your first kiss like?"
You smiled, touching your lips. JJ watched you for a moment, smiling at you. Your lips felt as if they were on fire.
"I was like ten and some boy at my summer camp dared me to kiss him. Worst three seconds of my life. Yours was so cute."
JJ smirked, raising his brows. "He dared you to? He must've really liked you."
You shrugged. "I can never turn down a dare."
JJ smirked. "Really?"
You nodded, a mischievous grin on your lips. "Yeah."
"Well then," JJ smirked. "I dare you to kiss me again."
You rolled your eyes. "I would've done it anyways."
And with that, you kissed him again. You don't know how long that kiss lasted because right after that one, JJ kissed you again and again. He kissed you like you guys had all the time in the world. And you felt like you did.
You knew you had all the time in the world to discover this new feeling with JJ.

I would love love love to see something along the lines of a Tyka mer au?? Especially if Kai is the merman!! I do love them ever so. Any age rating/idea I am so down for, pretty please!! 🥺🙏❤
Keep up with the great Tyka content it makes my day!
I know who you are and you always give me the best fic inspiration! I read your Tyka mer comics and I am INSPIRED. This might be longer than expected! But here I gooooo
So now that I finished it, I’ll be putting it in a readmore since it’s VERY LONG!!
It’s very rare that I write in first person! But this story definitely called for it, and I AM COMPLETELY IN LOVE. You’re going to want to ask for more, I can already tell.
So here it is:
When I was young, I was saved by a merman.
I remember how the cold seeped into my veins. My head was pounding from the force of hitting the water.
I was too young to know how to swim.
I couldn’t move even if I wanted to.
My body was numb, I descended into the dark blue sea, I saw the light glimmer from the surface, and felt water invade my lungs.
That’s when I saw him.
A flash of blue and milky skin. I felt the smooth scales wrap around my body. I saw his face, clear as day. His purple eyes, silver hair, and blue face markings. His face looked panicked, bubbles erupted from his mouth forming inaudible words. His face turned blurry, and my vision grew dark.
I woke up on the beach. No one believed me when I told them. Just a child’s fantasy gone overboard.
I always wondered how I made it back to shore without knowing how to swim, or how I missed all the rocks.
Someone must have saved me.
The more I visited the beach and saw no sign of a blue finned merman my belief started to dwindle.
Growing up I drew pictures, I even based my imaginary friend off my hero.
In my teens, my best friend Max reminded me of him.
“Tyson! I was just telling my friend about that mer-boy that saved you when you were a kid!”
I laughed it off, “it was a fairytale, Max. Nothing more.”
Years before, Kenny and Hilary sat with me on the beach one day after training.
“Could he still be out there?”
I cleaned my surfboard, looking off into the mysterious ocean.
Hilary passed me a bottle of wax for my board, “you know, I read at least eighty percent of the ocean remains undiscovered.”
Kenny looked up from his laptop, “every mermaid sighting has been proved fake. I still think what you saw was due to a lack of oxygen.”
I gave him an angry look, I didn’t mean to.
“Uh… but miracles have happened.” Kenny tried to reassure me.
I knew the truth.
Mermaids and mermen weren’t real.
After my Mom died, and my Dad left with my brother to explore the world, I had two things, my Grandpa, and my imagination.
Thinking of that boy was my playground. I’d bring sandwiches to the beach, and pretend to talk to him.
I made friends. And became a surfing champion. With my success my imagination drifted away.
I guess I really wasn’t ready for what came next huh?
“Tyson!”
Hilary and Kenny made their way towards my desk, I slammed my textbook closed, I was done with studying anyways.
“There’s a carnival in town! It’s close to your house, you want to come with us tonight?” Her eyes were bright.
I felt a pat on my shoulder, I looked to my right, Max’s blonde hair caught my eye.
“Carnival? Count me in!”
“I’m going too…” Kenny mentioned awkwardly, “Tyson?”
I rolled my eyes, carnivals were for kids. Besides I was planning on catching some waves tonight, but the weather was supposed to be really calm. I guess I could spare the time.
“Alright, sounds like a plan.”
I was right. Carnivals were for kids.
Doesn’t mean it wasn’t fun though.
We rode ride after ride. Kenny had to sit on a bench after he got sick, Hilary rubbed his back.
“Looks like it’s just you and me, partner!” Max slapped my back, “let's get some more snacks!”
Max pulled me towards another booth. I love food, but after a dozen different snacks, and a dozen different rides, I had to admit, I wasn’t feeling too well.
Max handed me a candy apple, I took a bite and felt my stomach turn.
“Bluh,” my lip turned in disgust.
“Wanna take a break from the rides?”
I nodded.
We lost Kenny and Hilary ages ago. Walking through the parts of the carnival with fewer people, we came across a mirror maze.
“Tyson, let’s go in!”
“Sounds fun!”
It was no surprise when I lost Max right away.
I could hear his excited giggles and him shouting my name, I tried to go in his direction, but eventually his voice faded out, and I found my way to the exit.
“Max!” I shouted into the maze, but there was no reply back.
He might have gotten out already…
I walked through the carnival looking for my blonde haired friend. No luck. There was a fortune teller, I made a mental note, Hilary would have liked to go back there.
Then something caught my eye.
ANASTASIA’S HOUSE OF WONDERS
It looked like a cardboard standee, with dark tents behind it. It couldn’t have been that big. I saw some people leave out the exit. There was someone in front of it. They were dressed in a creepy joker costume.
“Hey man,” I got his attention.
“Do you dare enter the house of wonders!”
“Uh, maybe? Is it cool? Like… what’s in there?”
“Things that will make your blood boil—”
“Things?”
“And creatures unknown to this world!—”
“Creatures!?”
“And above all—”
“Oooo what else!?”
“Look kid.” The grey haired joker lowered his arms and sighed, “can you just let me finish my speech?”
“Oh, yeah sorry.”
“I’m Bryan the sharpshooting joker! For only a few bucks—find yourself immersed in a new world!—”
“Okay,” I raised my hand, “that’s enough.”
“Oh thank god” Bryan’s voice dropped a few octaves.
The guy seemed kinda chill, so I leveled with him.
“So dude, is it actually worth my time in there?”
Bryan nodded, “yeah, it’s actually really cool.”
“Alright, sign me up.” I handed him a couple bills.
“Enjoy.” He counted the money.
Before I left I looked under his costume hat, “wait, don’t I know you?”
“Maybe?” He grumbled, accidentally revealing his true persona.
“Yeah! You were in the last surfing championship! You’re that crazy intense guy Bryan! What the heck are you doing here?”
“Uh, sidegig.” He lowered his mask, “have fun in there, kid.”
“Okay…”
I brushed off the awkward encounter and turned to the entrance. It was covered in two extravagant curtains. I pushed the fabric to the side and walked into the darkness.
Wait, is this a haunted house? Damn I shouldn’t have gone without Max!
The first thing I noticed was there was a lack of… people. Tesla coils and odd gimmicks littered the floor of the first hallway. I rolled my eyes, remembering carnivals were for kids.
The next room was bigger than expected, it was a dome with a button in the middle. I pressed it, who could resist a big red button after all?
Suddenly a snow storm picked up. I covered my face, “ah!”
It stopped before I could figure it out, I stared at the sleeve of my red jacket, where snowflakes started melting.
“Alright, that was definitely real snow! I’ll admit I have no idea how you did that one!”
I shouted to no one, but it still helped my nerves.
I—couldn’t figure out where the exit was.
I walked to the edge of the dome, it looked like a carnival tent, I tapped the edge, it rang back with a metallic sound.
“Uh.” I grew worried, “an exit would be nice?!”
I heard a sound from the other side of the room, and some fabric fell from nowhere, revealing another dark room, “thank you!”
Cautiously I made my way to the dark room.
I wish I hadn’t.
Inside were weird animals in green jars.
“Oof, these can’t be real.”
I tapped one, the baby bird inside moved.
“I assure you, they are all real.”
I turned to the corner. A.. man? He had a raven masquerade mask, and when Tyson locked eyes with him, he screamed and revealed massive black wings from his back.
“What the!?—”
I fell backwards, falling on my rear.
The bird boy made his way towards me.
“What are you?!”
“I’m Ian, the birdman.” He sounded tired.
“And in there,” he pointed to the next room with a black talon, “you’ll find my wolf friend.”
“You’re what!?”
I sat up, “naw, I’m done with this place. Your costumes are a bit too real for me.”
He shrugged, “that’s what they all say.” he sat on a crate with a loud thud, “enjoy the rest of the tour.”
I went to the next room because that guy was freaking me out. I really wanted to head back the way I came, but I couldn’t seem to find it.
Also, that guy seemed kind of familiar.
The next room felt colder than the rest. My heart raced when I saw a cage.
“Uh, hello? This haunted house is getting a little weird…”
I heard the clanking of chains, and a flash of red. On the floor of the cage was a boy, a bit older than myself.
“Are you okay?” I asked knowing it was an actor.
I heard a deep growl, and he lifted himself off the floor. I gasped when I saw his face.
A white wolf with a red mane bared his teeth at me.
I took a step back.
I felt the room grow cold, as the wolf tensed and growled.
It lunged forward and snapped it’s jaw, it hit the bars of the cage with a strength that boy shouldn’t possess, I turned and ran.
I ran through a wall tearing down fabric sprinting through tents.
It was dark, I couldn't see anything and didn’t know where I was going.
“Ah!” My foot got caught on a stone and I fell forward.
“How is this place so big! It did not look like this from the outside!”
In front of me was a curtain, it just barely touched the floor, I could see light shining from under it.
If I can’t find my way out… I might as well head for the light.
I lifted the curtain up and shielded my eyes from the bright white light.
In front of me I could just make out the wheels of a traveling train car. The front of it wasn’t metal, it was glass. Bright fluorescent lights hung over it. There was a sign next to me, I rubbed my eyes and could just make out the writing.
Newest exhibit! A rarity of its kind! Stay back, he splashes.
“What?”
Then I saw it.
The flash of blue, silver, and purple.
A merman threw himself against the glass repeatedly, tossing his fists against it. His wrists were in chains, and his constant assault against the glass only amounted to hollow thumps echoing through the tent.
I felt my body freeze.
It was the merman from my childhood.
Is this real?
I slowly made my way to the sealed aquarium.
The boy must have seen me enter the ring of light, because he stopped, he started floating, and stared at me.
“Hello?”
The merman didn’t move, he simply floated in place, I could see his chest move up and down.
“Do you recognize me?”
I made my way to the glass, getting a good look at the boy for the first time.
I placed my hand on the glass. I saw how red his wrists were from the chains.
He put his hand against the glass, only a thin separation between us. I smiled, and looked into his purple eyes.
I think he smiled at me. He opened his mouth slightly and a few bubbles popped out. I chuckled, and he looked back at me.
I stared up at the top of the tank, the lid was thick glass. A massive padlock kept it down. He saw me look at it, and he shook his head frantically.
I nodded, and placed my head against the glass, “you’re not supposed to be here.”
I jumped and hit the lock with my hand gauging how tough it was.
The merman waved his hand and mouthed words shaking his head.
“I’m gonna get you out of here!”
I looked around the room for a tool to use to break the lock. The only thing I could find was the sign I had seen previously.
I grabbed it, and tossed it to the ground, ripping it off its base.
The merman kept throwing his fist against the tank to get my attention, I ignored him knowing I had to help him.
I climbed the edge of the train cart so I was standing on top of the glass looking down at the silver haired boy. He floated on his back and kept banging on the glass with both hands.
It seemed like he was mouthing the words ‘get out get out!’
I used the stick tool I had made and bashed the lock, making loud sounds through the room. I kept doing it, but it didn’t budge.
The merman was banging on the glass mouthing the same words.
“I’m trying!”
I jumped down, knowing I would have to find a different tool, but I bashed it again in frustration.
The merman was frantically pointing now.
“What? What is it?” I watched his lips.
‘Behind you!’
I felt someone grab my shoulder, before I could scream they grasped my shirt and yanked me to the floor, dragging me away.
“Hey! You’re not supposed to touch people in a haunted house!”
I kicked and screamed while watching my merman frantically swim in circles and hit the glass with his tail. He was trying to get to me, but I knew it wasn’t going to work.
The man threw me into another room. I couldn’t see anything in the dark, I was tossed on a chair and sat up. He turned on a light with a click, and an old fluorescent bulb hung from the ceiling. I blinked a few times trying to find my way in the new surroundings.
A silhouette of a man sat on the opposite end of a table.
“You think you can try to take one of my treasures?”
“He is not yours!”
“Months ago I captured him. He’s rightfully mine.”
“Who do you think you are?!” I screamed at him, knowing full well this full grown man could cause me serious harm.
“He’s a rarity, I won’t let him fall into the hands of some snot nosed teenager with a superiority complex.”
I spat, “do you own this crazy place?”
“I do.”
“Don’t think I didn’t recognize your workers. I surfed with most of them in last year's competition.”
The man simply laughed, I finally got to make out some of his facial features. He was an older man.
“And why does the world champion desire my merman?”
“I don’t desire him, he needs to be free!”
“Ha!” The man’s voice bellowed.
I frantically searched for answers, for a way out—for the both of us.
“I’ll buy him from you!”
“Like you could afford him.”
“If I win the next competition—”
“You won’t.”
I grinned smugly, “you don’t know that.”
“You won by luck, my team is far superior.”
“Your team of monsters? Isn’t that cheating?”
“And you think being a descendant of a storm dragon is fair?”
“I’m a—what?”
The man shook his head.
“I know who you are, Tyson.”
“You gonna tell me who you are?”
The man chuckled in response to my anger, making me even more furious.
“The name is Boris. I take care of these boys—”
“By imprisoning them? Leave my merman alone!”
“Excuse me? Yours? Did you not just meet this creature?”
“Let’s say I’m feeling friendly.” I crossed my arms.
“He seemed to react to your presence, what did you do?”
I panicked, “how long were you watching for!?”
“Long enough. I’ve had him here for a few months, yet I can’t seem to break him.”
“Break him?” I was in disbelief, my childhood hero was not some horse at a stable!
“Yes, perhaps you could help—”
“No.” I grimaced.
Boris tapped his fist on the table, “well, it seems we are at an impasse.”
“You’ll never have my help.”
“I think I can live without it.” He stood up, he was much taller than me. “Please leave my circus, and don’t come back.”
“I’m not leaving without the merman.” I stood my ground.
“That’s a shame.”
I felt something heavy hit my temple—
I woke up on a grassy hill. I rubbed my head.
When I managed to sit up I overlooked the carnival from across a field. The lights were all out. It had to have been late for it to be completely closed.
Boris…
Now that I knew my merman was real, and that he was captured by such an evil man I had to find a way to get him back.
I’ll steal him. I’ll figure something out…
You better watch your back Boris.
I stared in the direction I thought my blue finned saviour would be in.
Hold on, I’m coming for you.

Intentions
Look… he’s a little confused but he’s got spirit
Warnings: minor animal injury, stalking(?), kidnapping, no yandere themes, Kiri has good intentions but bad execution. Also, this fic is pretty long lol
Reader: Gender Neutral
~
(Y/N) was a simple witch living in a nice lil’ cottage in the middle of a lovely meadow. They could hear the stream flowing nearby, the bustle of wildlife, and even greater was the lack of people. No one to steal, to lie, to interrupt and it was wonderful. Don’t get them wrong, it could be quite lonely in the middle of nowhere but small talk with a shopkeep while they purchased things needed around the house was enough. (Y/N) hadn’t even tried to entertain the idea of a lover, it was too troublesome and any person they had tried to court, hated their hermit lifestyle, that was if they even got passed the idea of them being a witch. But, it was their loss and (Y/N) stopped caring a long time ago anyway.
Now, when (Y/N) started to feel a distinct presence watching them while they harvested materials for their upcoming spell, they were only a little concerned. They were used to birds, rabbits, even full grown deer watching them from a safe spot far away, but this stare almost felt predatory, like a wolf, maybe a bear, what if it was a bandit? (Y/N) carefully but quickly collected the rest of the ingredients while keeping a careful eye out for any suspicious activity and swiftly stepped back into their home. Maybe a protection circle around their home would ease their nerves, but if it was a wolf or something, it would have lost interest and they’d have no need to waste their energy, but… that presence they felt… it didn’t even feel malicious, just determined but a little skittish. Like a young predator hunting without its mother for the first time. If it is a hungry animal, they had nothing to worry about, it has probably learned that this is not a good hunting area and would move on.
Eijiro’s eyes softened in disappointment when the attractive person in the field left his sight. He felt bad for using his hunting instincts to hide from them but not many people were very welcoming to dragons, even when he was in his humanoid form, the teeth and tail were enough of a give away to his true identity. But this person was so gorgeous and clearly had to be a witch, witches tended to be more open minded toward him. That one nice witch with the pink cheeks gave him snacks and played with him! Oh, if this witch is anything like her, he’d be the happiest dragon on the mountain. Eijiro gathered some pretty flowers nearby and started back toward his cave and determined that he had to prepare a nest for their arrival, of course he’d only work on it after he spent time admiring them from afar and collecting courting gifts.
For the next few days, Eijiro continued to watch (Y/N) and (Y/N) slowly became used to it, if the presence wanted to harm them, they would have done it already. But they noticed that since they started feeling the presence watching them, they also started finding gifts. They found sparkly stones on their porch, rare flowers on their windowsill, they even found a hand weaved basket of bread, different meats, and potatoes on the edge of the meadow. (Y/N) was sure it wasn’t a person watching them but an animal clearly couldn’t weave a basket and leave cut meats and bread in it. Despite their confusion, (Y/N) still appreciated the gifts and displayed the rocks and flowers proudly. The gifts continued for a few weeks, (Y/N) had to build a shelf to make room for all of them. All of a sudden, the gifts stopped, (Y/N) stopped feeling the eyes on them. They were a bit sad but tried to carry on as normal and prayed that the individual was safe and would return soon.
(Y/N) traveled a little further from home to gather special ingredients for their favorite soup, just to get their mind of the mysterious entity, but still secretly hoped they’d feel the familiar stare. While lost in thought, (Y/N) cut their hand trying to harvest a tough herb. Before they could assess the bleeding, they heard a deep growl come from the trees. They looked up but didn’t immediately see danger, just every bird, squirrel, and forest dwelling animal nearby running away from the source of the growl. (Y/N) didn’t take a second further to question the purpose and trusted the animals’ instincts and ran back toward their home as fast as they could, abandoning the already collected ingredients in the gifted wicker basket they loved. (Y/N) heard a loud yelp behind them, but the thundering steps that continued in their direction kept them from slowing down or looking back. (Y/N) couldn’t help the tears blurring their vision as they tried to find home, were they crying because they could possibly die a painful death today or was it because they would die never knowing who watched them from the tree line and if they were okay. The burning in (Y/N)’s lungs begged them to stop but they couldn’t, they had to live to find that mysterious stranger, it was laughable, the ultimate introverted hermit, living for someone else. Just as (Y/N) started making out the outline of their home, their overjoyed haste caused them to trip. One thing was definite after that, they fainted, but was it before or after they felt something bite into their outer coat.
A few hours later
“God, that was a terrible nightma-” The ache in (Y/N)’s hand, the unfamiliar bedding under that aching hand, and the strange chill in the surrounding area immediately told (Y/N) that the nightmare they experienced was no nightmare, but reality. They hesitated to open their eyes for a moment, when they did, they were unsurprisingly unfamiliar with where they had just woken up. They were in some kind of large cave, surrounded by furs, precious crystals, gold, and other miscellaneous shiny objects. They were pulled from their thoughts but a deep rumbling snore at the entrance of the cave, however the fire was not close enough to highlight the large silhouette that laid across the opening. (Y/N) carefully got up and approached the large body at the entrance and couldn’t stop the surprised noise they made when they realized it was a dragon. They fell back on their butt and the dragon slowly woke up and looked back at them.
“H-Hey buddy, let’s not do anything hasty,” (Y/N) slowly scooted further from the crimson beast. The beast scooted across the stone floor trying to close the growing space with puppy-like eyes. (Y/N) tried to hold their hand out to keep some kind of distance and noticed the bandage wrapped around the hand they cut earlier.
“Wait, did you do this?” (Y/N) couldn’t begin to imagine how a giant lizard with wings could wrap their much smaller hand, yet the dragon… nodded? The dragon looked at (Y/N) and started moving it’s head in a circular, almost like it was telling them to turn around.
“You, you want me to t-turn around?” The dragon nodded again, and (Y/N) complied. Well, at least they won’t see the death coming. Suddenly, they were a bunch of crunching and cracking noises, like someone was breaking multiple bones, one after another. (Y/N) went to turn back around but the dragon let out a warning growl, causing them to stop and continue facing away from the beast. That growl sounded familiar, and so did the feeling of those ruby eyes on (Y/N)’s figure. Wait a minute…
“Hey, you can turn around now,” A raspy yet sheepish voice called out. (Y/N) turned around and took in the young man’s spiky red hair, matching red eyes, sharp teeth peaking through his lips, and his well built body, as well as the wrinkled pants he hastily threw on that he didn’t adjust over his large tail. Despite his striking appearance, he was almost cowering in front of them.
“Have you been the one watching me?” (Y/N) couldn’t help but blurt out the question, they needed answers, the red head’s face changed to utter surprise.
“H-How did you know that I was there?” Kirishima was baffled and slightly insulted, he thought he was perfectly hidden.
“I’m a witch that lives alone in the middle of nowhere, you silly lizard, I have to be very observant and aware of my surroundings.” (Y/N) chastised, now they were both offended. “Now what I want to know is why you kidnapped me”
“Kidnapped? I rescued you! You were gonna be eaten by that mean old wolf if I hadn’t stepped in, and you were injured! I didn’t even want to bring you back here until the nest was done but I had to.” Kirishima got closer to (Y/N) as they cocked their neck back. (Well now we know what made that yelp noise.)
“Wolf? Injured? I was just gathering ingredients for my soup and got a little cut on my hand, I could’ve out ran some lousy wolf.” (Y/N) huffed.
“Jeez, you sound like Bakugo” Eijiro muttered. “If I hadn’t swatted that wolf away, it would’ve devoured you when you tripped.” Hm, maybe he was right. “And I couldn’t let that happen, especially before I court you properly.” Court?
“Wait, those were courting gifts?” (Y/N) asked, exasperated.
“Yes, I didn’t give them to you directly because I was afraid of how you’d react to a dragon asking for your hand so I thought I’d leave small things to prepare you for all this.” He motioned to the furs, gems, and other gifts. “Oh, and I went back to get the basket you dropped, I’m honestly flustered that you carried it around, I didn’t think it was that well made, my momma taught me how to weave a long time ago.” Kirishima rambled.
“Oh, goodness, I didn’t realize you were trying to court me, I feel so bad. I don’t even know your name.” (Y/N) exclaimed and facepalmed.
“Ha! That’s ok, I should be embarrassed too, I went through all this and watched you for so long and I don’t know yours either. I’m Eijiro Kirishima, and you?”
“(Y/F/N) (Y/L/N). And… I happily accept your courting gifts.”

They sat together in comforting silence, thinking of nothing but the serenity of having each other by their sides.
“Hey, Tsukki.”
“Mm?”
“Just message me next time you feel like sleeping around.”
Contemplating silence. Maybe what he said was stupid, or Tsukki had fallen asleep, or he’ll be met with another cold—
“Okay.”
Suna blinked, taken back by surprise. “What?”
“I said okay.”
“Oh.”
“What do you mean ‘oh’?”
“No, I just—I thought you’d be opposed to it.”
“They’re not as … good … as you,” Tsukki mumbled.
Suna grabs his face tilting it up.
“Assho—!”
“Say that again.”
“No!” Tsukki shakes his head out of his hand, so that he could turn around and face him properly. “Just because I’m sleeping with you doesn’t mean I like you, okay? Pleasure. We’re only using each other for pleasure, okay?”
Suna knows.
“I know. But I couldn’t quite catch what you said before, you put water in my ears.”
“I said, they’re not as good as you.”
“Not as good as me in—?” He baited Tsukki to fill in the blank.
“Oh, for fuck’s sake!”
“Say it, or I’ll drown you,” Suna said over Tsukki’s voice.
“They’re—” Tsukki’s ears were turning red again, “they’re not … they’re not as good as you in bed! There I said it!”
Suna burst out laughing. Tsukki kept splashing him to calm him down, but he was having too much fun poking at Tsukki after he had admitted how good Suna was compared to the other guys.
They finished up their bath in silence, Tsukki fell asleep while they were in the tub, so Suna finished cleaning him up first. After dressing Tsukki in clean clothes and putting him to bed in the spare bedroom, he went back to the bathroom to finish his bath with a quick shower.
Finally alone, he let out a loud sigh. “Fuck,” he mutterd under his breath.
Suna knows. He knows what he’s in denial of, he knows that Tsukki likes Kuroo, he knows that Tsukki would never choose him, that he’s just a rebound to pass time as Tsukki gets his shit together. I know, I know, I know I know I know I know I know. I. Know. But this relationship was better than nothing. He didn’t care what he had to sacrifice, as long as it kept Tsukki from spiraling out of control. And if it costs him to break a relationship to make Tsukki happy, he’d do it in a heartbeat, because that’s all he wanted Tsukki to be. To be happy.
“Oi, Suna!”
Tsukki waved his hand over his face. “What are you dozing off for?”
“Nothing, just thinking about what to have for dinner later on.”
“Hinata, Kenma and Atsumu are trying to invite us for korean bbq tonight. You coming?”
“Sure, I’m free.”
A couple of weeks have passed since he dropped by Kenma’s place to hand Atsumu a package Osamu needed to get to him urgently. He had planned to give it to Tsumu as soon as he saw him, but everytime he did, the package wasn’t with him in person. Osamu kept reminding him to the point of pestering paranoia that he ended up at Kenma’s place in the middle of the night, so that he could finally sleep in peace and not have nightmares of Osamu killing him for not delivering the package in a timely manner. Thank God Kenma allowed him to stay over. According to Atsumu, the package wasn’t even a big deal as Osamu made it out to be. Again, Suna got caught in the twins’ antics and bickering over the phone. The package in question wasn’t physically that big (looking at it from the outside), but when he caught Atsumu opening it and holding it in his hand the physical appearance didn’t matter anymore. Suna had delivered an engagement ring to Atsumu on behalf of Osamu, not knowing the story behind it and not caring to know it. Not a big deal my ass.
Once Suna’s paranoia disappeared, he was finally able to resume back to his daily life routines. Except, this day also wasn’t part of his routine.
“Where are you taking us?” he questioned Tsukki to remind him again.
“Shopping for new shoes.”
“Couldn’t you do that alone?”
“Yeah, but then I won’t have an excuse to get out of conversations with fans that I bump into. I’ve been bumping into them almost everyday thanks to Kenma’s Portugal vlog with Hinata, and his fans have been asking me to do another one with Kenma too.”
Tsukki grimaced, while looking at the maps app on his phone, leading the way to the store he wanted to checkout.
It’s true Kenma’s fans go overboard about wanting to know what goes on with everyone that appears in his videos, but as long as they don’t force themselves onto them, then it’s fine.
“Hey, could you guys be Tsukishima Kei and Suna Rintarou? Volleyball players, right?” A cheery woman walked up to them, coupled by two of her friends waiting close by to confirm their curiosity.
“Yeah, you watch our games?” Suna replied with a smile, covering for Tsukki. “Sorry, he’s a bit shy.”
“Oh that’s okay, we didn’t mean to take up your time,” she clarified hurriedly, “we just wanted to know if it was okay to get a picture with you guys?” She timidly asked, perked with anticipation.
“We don’t mind,” Suna kicked Tsukki’s foot, still keeping his facade on. “We have a bit of time to spare for you guys, right Tsukki?”
A harmless response, yet calculative in a polite way to let their fans know that they’re only free for the picture and nothing more.
Tsukki fidgets behind Suna then reluctantly steps out, properly greeting his fans.
One of the girls tried holding the phone in an angle that could get them all together, but Tsukki and Suna were too tall.
“Here, how ‘bout I hold it for us,” Suna offered, winking at the woman, which sent her into a flustered expression. “Okay! Ready, one, two—”
“Three!” They ended the chant in unison.
Once they confirmed their satisfaction with the picture, they bowed their goodbyes to each other.
“What’d you do to make her friend blush like that?”
“Fan service.”
“Not scared that you could’ve turned her into a stalker?”
“Don’t need to be scared. Stalkers start their day stalking, she started the day with her friends not knowing they’d bump into us.”
“That’s some deduction.”
“I’ve dealt with a few stalkers before, so it’s only natural to know so I could avoid it in the future.”
“Scary.”
“Is it around here?” Suna looked around for the shoe store Tsukki had on his phone, swiftly changing a conversation he didn’t want to get into details about.
The thought of it sent a shiver down his spine.
“Ah, over—here.”
“Tsukki?”
“You guys are here too?”
Just as they spotted the store, Suna and Tsukki bumped into Hinata, Kageyama and the woman Suna saw in the gossip articles, Kuroo’s girlfriend.
“Tsukishima, Suna … what the hell?” Kageyama narrowed his eyes in annoyance.
“I could ask you the same thing.”
“Kageyama wanted to improve his foreign language skills with her, but we also planned to buy shoes afterwards, so we met at Kuroo’s place and now we’re finishing the day off with shoes.” Hinata rambled, explaining their day to Tsukki.
“No, I wasn’t—I didn’t mean it literally.”
“Dumbass,” Kageyama snickered.
“Huh? But you asked.”
“That’s,” Tsukki sighed in defeat, “nevermind.” He shook his head, pinching the bridge of his nose. “Oh, by the way, this is Kuroo’s girlfriend.” He introduced you to Suna.
“Hello,” Suna bowed.
You bowed in return.
For someone who’s usually sneering at almost everyone, Tsukki was composed, unable to look anyone in the eye.
“We can come back later on if you want,” Suna spoke to him in a low voice.
“Why? We’re already here.”
Suna and Tsukki followed behind the trio into the store.
What Suna could tell from Tsukki wasn’t anger, jealousy or sadness, he was uncomfortable and awkward—withdrawn—maybe because everyone else seemed to get along with her and Tsukki didn’t know how. The one thing they had in common was their feelings towards Kuroo, from what Suna can presume.
“Are you gonna shop for shoes too?” You asked, trying to strike up a conversation.
“Nah, I only came ‘cause of Tsukki.”
Out of the five of them, you and Suna stood by waiting for the three to pick their shoes as they made snarky remarks at each other.
“Are you finding the stay okay?” Suna picked the conversation up.
“Yeah, it’s okay,” your feet fidget. “I’m finally able to take a well needed vacation after working non-stop for a year.”
“What do you work as?”
A question not asked out of curiosity, only to keep the conversation from dying in awkward silence.
“Artist, specifically a painter.”
“Nice. I never thought of Kuroo as the artsy type, so how’d you guys meet?”
“Through Kenma,” your eyes softened. “We were able to meet thanks to him.”
Kenma? “Oh, you knew Kenma first?”
“Yeah, although I only met Kuroo in person after a few years of being friends with Kenma,” you nervously laughed.
A few years? Suna thought back to what he knew from the articles, but he never thought about the extent of your relationship with Kenma. Your connection with him only surfaced when the rumours between you and Kuroo were making headlines. You also never appeared in any of his videos, nor were you ever mentioned by Kenma himself. So who were you to Kenma?
“Did you meet Kenma as a fan?”
“No, I actually didn’t know he was a pro gamer until afterwards.”
“Oh?”
“We met at E3, and I guess Kenma came as a shareholder instead of what he’s known for.”
“So you game at the side too.”
“No, not as seriously as Kenma. I went as a shareholder as well.”
“Hey! You guys wanna head to the bbq place now?” Hinata interrupted.
Kageyama and Tsukki trailed behind him, looking satisfied with their new purchases.
“Oh, I’m heading back for the day. I still haven’t prepared Kuroo’s dinner and he’s working overtime today,” you politely declined.
“Aw, boo,” Hinata pouted.
“Sorry, maybe another time. I still have a few more months before I leave.”
Hinata continued making excuses for Kuroo to starve, so that you could join them for the bbq, but you seemed to purposefully be avoiding hanging out with them.
“Do you not like us?!”
“That’s not what I’m saying!” You yelled back at Hinata. “I’m saying that I’ll look like a whore if I’m the only girl there!”
“Then I’ll be a whore with you!”
“That’s not how it works!”
“Oi, if she said no it’s no! And that’s Kuroo’s girlfriend you’re trying to ask out!” Kageyama smacked him upside the head.
After Tsukki broke the fight off, they decided to drop you off at the station. Suna felt disappointed at the thought of not getting to know you better, there were still questions he wanted to ask, but at least he got to see how the others were around you. Although, Tsukki had different reasons for being the way he was.
Hinata and Kageyama didn’t even talk about you behind your back, once you were gone. Kageyama was excitedly going over his new phrases and vocabulary with Hinata, and talked about how easy it was to learn from you, like a kindergartener talking about their first day of school. On the other hand, Hinata was still annoyed that you weren’t able to come, but he was already planning where and whom to hangout with next. Their excitement expressed how comfortable and happy they are to be around you, except for Tsukki.
Tsukki neither expressed his like or dislike of you, not that Suna knew anything about you, yet. He barely got to know you, except for the fleeting, but daunting, mention of Kenma. A thought he’ll overthink before he sleeps in the nights to come.
They arrived at the korean bbq place and found Kenma and Atsumu at their reserved table at the back corner of the restaurant, right by the washroom.
“Took you guys long enough,” Atsumu scooted over, making room for the rest.
“Hinata was begging her to join us and wouldn’t let go until we dropped her off at the station,” Kageyama exasperated.
Kenma turned to Hinata, putting his phone in his pocket. “Someone’s attached.”
“But she’s fun to be around and it’s not like she’ll be here for long,” Hinata sulked.
“You can see her another time. It’s not like she’s gone forever.”
“You can see her any time. I don’t have that much money like you to be saying it that easily.”
It’s true. Out of everyone seated at the table, Kenma was the only one rich enough to say he could travel easily, despite them being pro athletes. Must be nice to be that free.
Time flew by fast as they got lost in their conversations and topics, blissfully filling their stomachs with good food and light beer.
Suna couldn’t help but overthink about the way your name sounded coming from Kenma’s mouth, but they had suddenly stopped mentioning you after a quick change of topic, thanks to Atsumu. There was no mention about the ring Osamu had been pestering Suna to give to him, so he had assumed that it could be fake, although the conversation the twins had over the phone sounded serious.
Tsukki was seated across from him, intently listening in to Atsumu and Hinata rambling on about their sponsorships and what to do in their upcoming fans meeting, while scrolling through his phone. Placid as usual, but nothing out of the ordinary … though he can feel Tsukki brushing his foot up his ankle under the table in a discreet manner. He glances up to Tsukki, nonchalantly keeping a poker face, blending in with the right reactions to the conversation. Suna knows he was the one who proposed this type of relationship first, but his intentions weren’t the same as what Tsukki is probably thinking of.
Suna gets up from the table, naturally Atsumu and Kageyama adjust themselves to make room for Suna to get out with ease. “I’ll be back,” he tells them.
He takes a trip to the washroom and heads out the back door of the restaurant for a smoke. And of course, after a while, Tsukki followed him outside.
“You free tonight?” Tsukki asked in a mellow tone, lightly tapping Suna’s feet with his.
“Again?”
“So you’re not free?”
Everything clicked in Suna’s head. It all made sense now, and he was right to keep Tsukki close to him by proposing this type of relationship. Whenever Suna turned him down to fuck, it’s not that Tsukki agreed with his answer, he just found another way to get what he wanted by calling someone else. The options Tsukki keeps in his phone is just his last resort, if things didn’t go the way he wanted them to. The only time Tsukki wants to fuck is when something related to Kuroo comes up; the point where he wants to forget the most. How could Suna not notice after all this time they spent together? Tsukki never talked about how he really felt about anything. This whole time Suna thought that Tsukki was getting better, but he had actually gotten worse. Maybe this relationship wasn’t a good idea in the first place, but Suna didn’t want to risk going back to how it was in the past, especially with how their relationship is now.

Eunhyuk: First Date
//Requested by an anon! Eunhyuk’s first date with a few mishaps! This was really cute and fun to write! Let me know if you liked it!//
Dressed in your best clothes, makeup perfectly set all ready to go. But, you are still sitting on your couch. Your date is nowhere to be seen, you aren’t even sure if he’s coming to pick you up anymore. He should have been here 20 minutes ago, you thought. It would be a lie if you say you weren’t a little annoyed.
You tried calling him only for it to end up in voicemail. You left him a text, a few, and got no reply. Another 10 minutes passed and you strongly contemplated to just change out of your outfit and call this date off.
You got up and walked to your bedroom and the bell rang as if on cue. You noticed the fervent knocking against your door. You headed for the door and opened it.
It was Eunhyuk. The man who was late. You wanted to stay angry at him, but seeing him standing there nervously with the bouquet in his hand, you know you couldn’t.
“You’re late,” you said looking back to the clock hanging in your living room, “very late,”
Eunhyuk looked at you apologetically, “I know. I know,” he says as he passed you the flowers.
You wanted to play this out because teasing Eunhyuk is fun, “you better have a good reason.”
Eunhyuk nodded his head, “I’m not lying but the car wouldn’t start, so I went to borrow Donghae’s. That buzzer didn’t want to pick up my call, so I went up to his house. I told him about it and he still didn’t want to lend me his car..-”
You raised your brows, slightly doubting his story. He noticed this, “it’s true. Took me forever to convince him, and when I finally did, I got lost with the directions. Lee Donghae, really.”
“Why didn’t you pick up my calls?”
He sighed, “I.. my phone died on me..”
You nodded your head, “so is the date still on?”, you teasingly asked.
He looked at you, shocked and taken aback. He must have thought you were really angry. “I.. I guess we can do it next time. I’m sorry, really. This wasn’t how I planned today to be,”
You break out into a smile, “I’m kidding, let’s go,” you joked, putting the flowers aside and then shyly holding his arms. You felt Eunhyuk letting out a sigh of relief and you let out a chuckle.
Throughout the car ride, both of you talked. You had to admit, it was a little awkward at first. But, the more you talk to him, the more realise how much you both have in common. Vanilla latte with half shot? Iced chocolate? Horror movies? Sweatpants over shorts?
The conversations were lighthearted, mostly funny anecdotes. Eunhyuk who slowly eased into his nervousness was now replying actively even leaning back onto the driver’s seat.
After a while, Eunhyuk reached the destination. He parked the car swiftly and then exited the car to open your doors for you. “Why, thank you!” you teased. Eunhyuk snickered and bow his head with his hands on his abdomen.
He offered his arms and you shyly wrap your arms around his, trying your best to not let the shade of red forming on your cheeks be seen by him. “Shall we?” he asked. You just squeezed his arms and nod.
Both of you walked to the entrance of the restaurant. It was weird, not seeing any lights switched on. There also weren’t any other customers around. You thought Eunhyuk went overboard and booked the whole restaurant and you shot him a look. He looked back at you, also obviously flustered.
When you reached the front door, the big “CLOSED” sign was up in your faces. You read the small note under the sign, “due to an unforeseen circumstance, we are closed for today. We apologise for the inconvenience,” you read clearly and then looked at him.
Eunhyuk couldn’t help but just laughed out loud causing you to also break out into a laughter. “This is the worst,” he says in between his laughs. “I can’t even,” he continues.
“What a ride, Hyukjae. What should we do now? It’s probably too late to go anywhere else.”
Eunhyuk didn’t answer. He purses his lips and you see the gears in his head turning. He finally looked back at you, “okay let’s go”
You weren’t quite sure what or where exactly he is taking you to. After a while, you arrived at a parking lot facing the river. You shot him a puzzled look. “I know you put in a lot of effort dressing up. I didn’t want to just go home. I figured we could just stay in the car, have takeout as we watch the light show over the river,” he answers.
“This isn’t definitely what I planned, but I was really looking forward to today. I feel like I messed up a lot, so I hope this is enough for all the failed plans I had today. It’s not fancy, but I just don’t want to send you home this early,” he continues.
Was Hyukjae always this sweet?
Your thoughts were disrupted with the knocking on the car’s window. Eunhyuk opened and stepped out. He paid the guy and then entered the car with plastic bag full of fried chicken and noodles. “Ta-dah!” he shakes the bag.
You laughed, amused and impressed.
Eunhyuk pulled his seat back so that he has more space to eat, and you did the same. You adjusted your position and faced him, holding the plastic bowl near to you. “Donghae is gonna kill you if he finds out we are eating in his car!”
“It’ll be our secret then,” he shrugs, clearly not caring about Donghae at all.
After the short makeshift dinner, you both were now facing the river, waiting for the light show to start. It was silent. “Hey,” he starts as he looked at you. “I really want to apologise for today,”
You tilt your head to face him. “From being late, to the closed restaurant, to this impromptu dinner,” he says.
You looked at him softly, “It’s okay. Really. I never had a date like this before, but I like this.”
The worry on his face slowly disappears and Eunhyuk felt relief taking over his body. “I feel bad, I really do. But thank you,”
You just smiled at his response, “if you feel bad, then, make sure you take me out properly the second time...” trailing your words, unsure if he got it.
The light show started immediately after, and you took out your phone to record. It’s so pretty!” you squealed as you wildly tap his arms.
“Not as pretty as you,” he says and then rest his chin on the steering wheels.
The date came to an end and he accompanied you back to your apartment, savouring every second remaining. You stood in front of your door, “this is it. Thank you for today,”
Hyukjae looked down to his feet and then back at you, “are you free next weekend? I want to take you out again. Properly.”
You looked away, stifling the smile that’s threatening to break out. He got it. “Yes I am.”
Eunhyuk smiled, “okay, look forward to it!”
You moved closer to Eunhyuk and gave him a small hug, which surprised him. As you break the hug, you left a kiss on Eunhyuk’s left cheeks. “I’ll look forward to next week then,” you said as you unlock the door.
Eunhyuk waited for you patiently, and didn’t move away. He only made his leave once he hears the lock on the other side click, ensuring that you are home safely.
He finally walked away heading to the carpark, his hand holding his left cheeks. He looked back at your apartment and just smiled like an idiot. Cute.

Some Thoughts on Star Fox as a Series
Disclaimer: This is a post mostly focusing on the gaming aspect of Star Fox, not really the lore and characters. I think when a lot of people in the fandom talk about the series’s future, they hone in on the story and characters but I wanted to talk more or less about the series as games, not really as a story.
I remember when the first rumors of Star Fox Grand Prix came out and I was frankly a bit bummed. I’m very lukewarm on racing games in general, having only really enjoyed Wave Race, Mario Kart, and Diddy Kong Racing out of the few I’ve tried out. I wanted a follow up to Zero, since I felt dissatisfied by it overall. I felt like it was halfway done and that it failed to breathe in that bit of life into the series that was desperately needed. A racing game for the series felt... really weird, and part of it still does, but the more I dwelled on it, the more I realized that... sure, Grand Prix wasn’t what anyone had expected but maybe it wasn’t a bad thing?
And then, funnily enough, I thought back when I was a kid and when Star Fox Adventures came out. A lot of people were very upset. I was not one of them because I had been immersed at a very young age to the idea that some games in certain series just play differently. Mario was always bopping between tennis, racing, party games, 2D platforming, RPG style gameplay, and 3D adventure jams. Donkey Kong went from throwing barrels to 2D platforming to racing and to having his own 3D adventure. Kirby went from 2D platforming to racing and even to fighting games. It made sense to me that Fox McCloud could do the same. And that leads me to my main “point” of this post.
I think it’s perfectly okay for the Star Fox series to step away from the spaceship shooter genre.
Don’t get me wrong-- I know that the heart of the series we’ve seen so far has been a on-rails shooting or all-range mode shooting. But I think sometimes we (using this loosely for certain bits of the fandom) hyper fixate on Star Fox needing to be based on vehicular combat and maybe that sort of mentality is still the result of backlash from Adventures all of those years ago. A lot of Star Fox fans were upset because of Adventures because it didn’t stick to their expectations of what would naturally evolve after SF64. And they were absolutely correct to be surprised and maybe a bit upset (some people took it overboard but I applaud their passion, I guess). Star Fox Adventures was not the natural sequel to the beloved SF64. Assault fit the bill for that, building upon on-foot fighting teased in the Versus mode of SF64 and going back to a rails/all-ranged mode series of levels rather than a more open and explorable world.
That being said, I don’t... necessarily think that Star Fox Adventures was a mistake or a bad idea. In fact, I actually think that an adventure-style subseries would work really well for Star Fox as a franchise. In fact, I think there’s a lot they could do with the series in terms of branching out from the typical on-rails style spaceship shooter. Having a racing game with a story and with boss fights (like what was rumored of Grand Prix) actually sounds like the fun Diddy Kong Racing sequel everyone kinda wanted. Sure, Adventures was put together in a very rushed fashion, but why not actually invest in adventure-style series of games for Fox McCloud? He’s a mercenary, after all, and I doubt every mission he takes is going to be able to be done in his Arwing.
“But Star Fox isn’t a big IP. Why bother reinventing the series as something beyond its genre when it’s not a big IP?”
That is true. It’s not a huge IP but it is a legacy IP, one that Miyamoto has stated he’d love to do more with. And honestly? I kind of wonder if branching out the genre would garner more interest in the series from potential consumers. Not everyone is really into the spaceship shooter genre and that’s fine. I think with some innovation, maybe branching out in the genre department a bit, and decent marketing and the Star Fox series could honestly be twice as big as it is now. It has the potential to market to a lot of different fans-- furries, sci-fi nerds, flight sim fans, general Nintendo fans, etc.
“But Star Fox is supposed to be a spaceship shooter game! That’s the heart of the series!”
And I get that, in the same way that stomping Goombas is Mario’s staple. Star Fox can still have those types of titles in the series. But I’d rather see the series evolve and thrive rather than cling onto what it’s traditionally been and the fans getting a half-baked game once every half decade or so. I think much in the way that the gaming world has changed, Star Fox as a series has dug its heels into the ground in terms of gameplay and it needs a chance to breathe and grow. I don’t think there’s been much growth for the series from a pure gameplay standpoint since Assault and that was 3 generations ago. I want to add that I’m talking purely based on gameplay-- I’m not commenting at all on story or on character portrayal.
Two extreme games that I think highlight what I’m trying to say are Breath of the Wild and Mario Odyssey. Of course these are both huge IPs for Nintendo and they received a lot of care. But if you look at the gameplay, what they did was take the basics and let them grow, adding a few new mechanics to those specific games within the series for variety’s sake. Assault did it similarly, particularly with vehicle swapping. But... really, after Assault, I feel like we saw a step back. Command obviously was limited by its console. Zero has virtually no excuse in my book being 2 console generations after Assault and seeing nothing more than finnicky controls and a return to SF64 form... and with no versus mode to boot (still salty about that, don’t mind me).
“But is it a Star Fox game if it doesn’t have flying/on rails combat in it?”
Yes. The answer is yes. Because Star Fox isn’t about flying space ships. There’s a billion games that will let you fly ships. But them having flying ships does not make them the same thing as a Star Fox game. Star Fox is about the charm-- the fun banter between teammates, a world full of goofy sci-fi tropes with very quotable dialogue, and fun, quirky animal friends.
And just because a Star Fox game isn’t purely on rails flying combat doesn’t mean it can’t have a nod or two.
“Okay, but if you want them to just make different genre games for Star Fox, why not just have Nintendo make a new IP entirely?”
New IPs are always a gamble and we know through the development of various games that Nintendo puts a LOT of work into making new IPs. If you haven’t looked at the development of Splatoon on Wii U, I really recommend it. It really shows why we don’t get many new IPs from Nintendo-- they’re super picky and they super wanna make sure that the IP will land on its feet successfully.
Star Fox is, again, a legacy IP and people know the characters. That’s actually pretty huge because then you’re not having to market an entirely new cast.
Starlink was a huge indicator that people want to see the Star Fox characters again. The game may have sold poorly overall but the Switch sales were remarkably high compared to the other consoles and I’m 99% sure it’s because of brand familiarity and the Star Fox team.
“Okay, okay, so you want Star Fox to evolve. But what do you want to see?”
Honestly? Something good. Anything good. Nothing that’s limited by the idea of what a Star Fox game “should” be. I am a big believer in not stifling creativity and that extends to the gaming world as well. I don’t want to see another rebranded SF64. I want to see something they make with an honest, passionate heart, even if it’s something as outlandish as a Star Fox dating sim or even a Star Fox crossover with POKEMON or KIRBY or PIKMIN or... or anything else that sounds absolutely wacko.
I just want a good game made with love that respects the series and doesn’t try to confine it.
Anyways THANKS FOR READING MY TED TALK

Hello, can I request a scenario where you like Harin from onewe and you don't dare to confess to him so you just tell him there's someone you like and he's jealous because he likes you? thank you in advance 💕
thank you for requesting! I think I went a bit overboard with this, but I just couldn’t help it! it really inspired me a lot! It also came out much cornier than I expected it to, but I guess that’s just my inner kdrama lover, who can’t contain herself when it comes to these types of clichés.
to everyone reading this, our requests are open and the groups we write for are in the desc. of our blog! we have a prompt list you can use for requests! enjoy !!
The highschool bell rang, indicating that the classes had finished and you all could go home. When you were saying goodbye to your friends Keonhee and Hwanwoong, one of them noticed something.
—Hey (y/n)! —Hwanwoong was pointing at your shoulders with a confused face— don’t you think you’re missing something?
—What? —you looked around, thinking that he was talking about someone walking by— what do you mean, Hwanwoong?
Keonhee suddenly realized what Hwanwoong was talking about and started laughing.
—No (y/n), not around you! —he took a second to breath and continued talking— your backpack! It’s missing.
—My… MY BACKPACK !! —you got a strong feeling of déjà vu as it wasn’t the first time that something like that had happened. You quickly waved at your friends and walked at a face pace in the direction of the main building, crossing your fingers and wishing that the teacher hadn’t locked the door of the class. When you were walking up the stairs, you heard someone calling your name and turned around only to find Harin standing by the end of the stairs smiling at you and holding your bag up in the air.
A huge smile formed on your face and you let out a sigh of relief.
—Did you lose this, hermanita? —you looked at him with annoyance and bumped his arm.
—I didn’t lose it, Bubba, I just f o r g o t it.
—Okay okay, whatever. I found it so now you owe me. You should buy me an iced coffee in the store next to the school, just saying. I will be a gentleman and walk you home today.
—Okay, jeez, but don’t pretend you are being a gentleman, you literally live two blocks away from me.
—True, but also rude. Let’s go.
You had known Harin since you were one-year-old. Your mothers took you both to the same park in the neighborhood, and you had always played together. Then, you went together to primary school and even shared your swimming classes and joined the basketball after school club together when you were 10. When you were four years old, Harin would tell the kids at school that you were his girlfriend, and you still had a letter that he had written you on Valentine’s day when you were 6. Nevertheless, that had only been a children’s game, and things had changed a lot since then. Harin came up with the nickname “hermanita” at your Spanish class of eighth grade. It literally meant “sister”, and you never minded him calling you that, until your 14th birthday, when your fluttering heart made you realise that you were, indeed, very into him.
Since then, every time he called you his sister it felt like a cold breeze, and you had asked him to stop but couldn’t come up with a reason when he asked why. You were very stubborn, and even though you were open-minded for most things, you still thought that he should be the one to confess his love, not you, so you would never tell him that you didn’t want him to call you “sister” because you wanted him to call you “lover”.
As naïve as it may sound, you had a bit of hope; he had gone out with a couple of girls over the course of highschool, and it never lasted long. Harin would always complain of how clingy ad boring those girls were, not like you, who he always enjoyed to hang around with. When you asked him why he said yes to those girls if they were not his type, he would answer that he was waiting for the right girl to ask him out, but knew that It would take long so he tried to distract himself, and he also found it hard to reject them. You threw him a fit after he said that, because you thought it was very disrespectful for the girls, and he hadn’t dated anyone since then.
You told yourself you would just wait and try to give him small clues so he knew what was going on. Or at least that was before the day of the backpack incident, when everything changed.
—I think I’ve found her —Harin and you were walking down the street that led to your houses, and he told you this without looking into your eyes.
—Her? Her who? —you felt the mood change, but didn’t really understand why. Harin kept avoiding your eyes.
—Do you remember when I told you… I was waiting for the right girl?
—… yes?
You felt your mouth dry up and your heart beat faster and faster, was this happening for real?
—I went to a party last Saturday… and I met this girl called Lauren.
With nothing to say, you nodded and looked at the ground. Suddenly you noticed how childish you had been, thinking that all this time, you still had a chance of being that girl he had been waiting for.
—We just… we really clicked. It was like… I don’t know… she was really nice you know?
—Was she? That’s great —you were almost in front of your house— you know what? I have a lot of things to do for tomorrow, so I’ll leave first. —you gave him a quick smile, acting like nothing had happened, and walked away, but first you turned around and finally looked into his eyes— don’t you dare come after me in a couple of days complaining about her and asking for my support.
Harin looked a bit confused, since he really thought you would feel happy for him.
—I… won’t…
You shook your head and went inside. Without even greeting your father, who was cooking something in the kitchen, you went straight into your room and lay down on your bed. You tried to get rid of the frustration by shouting with your face pressed against your pillow, but it only made your disappointment grow. Did he really not see it? You were the one who had always been there for him, you were the one he had the most fun with, you two had cried, laughed, shouted and screamed together. You understood him as nobody else did, and he knew everything about you too; and the most important thing was, he knew it all and still he would always be by your side! In the best and worst moments, when you were totally wrong and made stupid decisions, when life had seemed to be just a big black hole: it had always been fine after all, because he was there to go through it all with you. And it was the same the other way around, you had always been there for him. So what was the problem? Did he just not find you attractive? But he had told you many times how pretty you were, and how only good guys deserved to be with you. Did he not consider himself good enough?
Your mind felt heavier and heavier, as a thousand thoughts crossed it at the same time. If he really saw the perfect girl in Lauren, then you would lose him forever. The tragedy of that thought made you cringe and feel like a teenager in a TV show. No. There had to be something you could do about it.
You took your phone and texted another one of your best friends, Giwook.
“my dear friend Giwook, I am feeling so lost in the middle of this sea, I don’t see any island in the skyline, I don’t see the sunlight, I only see sadness and despair”
“(y/n) dude are you okay”
“GIWOOK I JUST TOLD YOU I AM LOST HOW AM I OKAY”
“are you sure you didn’t eat anything rotten today”
“Giwook.”
“(y/n).”
“I am heartbroken”
Less than two seconds passed since the message was sent, but Giwook was already calling you.
—YOU ARE WHAT
—Oh my god Giwook, calm down, you are too nosy, seriously
—Tell me everything. Now.
—Okay so I’ve had the hugest crush on a boy for the last two years. And today… he told me that he has found his soulmate. What should I do Giwook
—Did Harin tell you about Lauren?
—…
—I swear, he doesn’t shut up about her, he’s so annoying
—Giwook you are making it worst
—SORRY. Okay. Listen here, not everything is lost
—Wait how did you know it was Harin
—I didn’t, I just guessed. DO YOU LIKE HARIN??
—Am I seriously so bad at sending him hints??
—Yes
—Does this mean he will never like me and we will never be together?
—No. I actually think it can perfectly work. The thing is, he doesn’t see you that way, because you have always been like a sister to him, and you have never actually dated another boy before, so he doesn’t want to go further with you. I mean, he probably thinks that, since you never date boys, he doesn’t have any opponents who are trying to take you from his side, so he is content with the current situation.
—Right
—SO the perfect way of making him change his mind is… faking a relationship
—sur- what?
—You heard me right. I think if you fake having a boyfriend, you will automatically look desirable and in danger of being taken away from him, so he will fight for you and try to gain you back.
—Do you really think so?
—Yes. And I have the perfect candidate. Dongmyeong still owes me a couple of things, so he will be very happy to help. Also, he wanted to prove his brother that he could get a girlfriend before Christmas, so this will be the perfect opportunity
—How am I going to act like Dongmyeong is my boyfriend?? He is like my son!
—You just have to hold hands and say things like “hey smooshypooshypie, do you want to eat cake with me later?”
—SHUT UP I’M SNEEZING BECAUSE OF THE CRINGE
—Hahahahaha, but it’s a good idea!
—Okay sure. Let’s try it out
—Yes! I can’t wait to see Harin’s face when he sees you with Dongmyeong.
As soon as you hung up, you regretted telling Giwook that it was a good idea. You had watched many movies where the girl tried to make the boy jealous so that he would fall for her, but you didn’t actually believe that it would work in real life. Moreover, what would you tell Harin afterwards? Were you supposed to “break up” with Dongmyeong?
As much as you wanted to go back time and make up your mind, it was already too late, and the next day just before classes started Dongmyeong texted you.
“Hi (y/n), Giwook told me about your secret plan”
“ahhhh Dongmyeong, listen, I won’t be mad at you if you don’t want to do this. I understand it, it’s okay. I will accept that Harin has another girl in his life, it’s not such a big deal”
“What do you mean not such a big deal, when I met you last year I thought you were dating! And I was so disappointed when Giwook told me you were just childhood friends… I’ve always expected one of you to speak up their feelings to the other”
“What feelings… Harin doesn’t have feelings for me Dongmyeong…”
“Yeah, whatever you say, stop being a drama queen. You have nothing to lose, anyway, so let’s just try it and see how it goes. You can always break up with me if it doesn’t go well… or, who knows, maybe we two will fall in love *wink*”
“eEWw. All right, I’ll stop complaining”
“Good”
“So let’s make it official”
“I’ll see you after class, babygirl”
“Don’t ever call me babygirl again Dongdongie”.
As promised, you met Dongmyeong in your 30-minute break and after a bit of chitchat and a few awkward breaks, you both decided it was time to tell the rest of your friends the news. You usually chilled by the bleachers with Giwook, Harin and two other friends, Yonghoon and Kanghyun, so there you went. As you approached the group next to your brand new not-fake-at-all boyfriend, you saw Harin turning around and lifting his arm to wave at you, but he immediately froze as he saw Dongmyeong taking your hand into his and giving you a quick peck on your cheek. You tried not to show any reaction, even though you were not expecting that, and just gave Dongmyeong a quick confused look, only to receive a wink back.
Giwook was the next one to notice you, and he greeted you joyfully.
—(y/n)! Dongmyeong! Hi!
The rest of them also said hi and told you about the last gossip that was going around. Harin kept looking at you and your interwined hands, but he wouldn’t say anything. Finally, Yonghoon noticed that too and interrupted Kanghyun in the middle of a sentence to ask you what was going on.
—Ehm… Guys… Dongmyeong and I are going out together.
Kanghyun looked at Giwook, surprised, and Yonghoon asked you to repeat that again. At first they didn’t get it, since you two were two very different people, but they quickly just congratulated both of you and changed the topic to a different one. However, Harin didn’t said anything at all.
The break ended, and you parted ways to go to your class. You met Hwanwoong there, who you shared the most of your classes with, and he asked you if the gossip that was going around about you and Dongmyeong was true, to which you replied that yes, it was.
That day, Dongmyeong walked you home, and even though you didn’t really need to fake it outside of school, you took the opportunity to get to know Dongmyeong a little bit better, and that way you got much more comfortable with each other (you were good friends before, but he was the last one who had joined your group of friends, so there were many things that you still didn’t know about him). You ended up lying again on your bed, but this time you were happy (you had been laughing for almost the whole way home) and, you couldn’t deny it, more hopeful than before, because you had noticed that Harin didn’t seem really happy since you had told them that you two were going out.
Nothing changed for the next week. You would go to school, walk around holding hands with Donmyeong and then go back home. But one day, while you were in your room after school writing down the chapters that you had to prepare for the following week, your phone lit up with a new message from Harin.
“(y/n), are you home?”
“yes! What is it?”
“Come down”
You looked at your screen, trying not to freak out. Was he already there? What did he mean come down?
You stood up and run towards the window, from where you could clearly see the silhouette of a boy next to your front door. He was there. With no time to waste, you looked into the mirror and tried to fix your hair as fast as you could, took a jacket and put on your shoes, and you were out of your room.
While walking down the stairs, you kept thinking about what you would tell him, wondering if he really was there for what you were thinking he was there for. He had never done something like that before, he would always text you first or just simply walk into your house, so it felt weird having him waiting for you outside like that. Taking a big breath, you opened the front door and walked outside.
—Hi, Harin.
You felt your shoulders drop and your heart ache when you looked into his face. He looked torn apart, more tired than you had ever seen him before.
—Harin, are you okay?? Was it Lauren? Did she do something to you? Just tell me and I’ll go and kick her ass.
—No, (y/n), it’s not about Lauren. We didn’t even go out, she had another boyfriend.
—Oh… is that it, then? Are you heartbroken?
—(y/n), I… I need to tell you this clearly. I don’t like seeing you with Dongmyeong.
—Wh… what…
—Ever since you told us you were his girlfriend… I just can’t stand it! Are you doing this to torture me? Because I know you too well, and I can’t believe you really are the couple you say you are
—Harin… why would I go out with Dongmyeong just to torture you?
—Are you blind? —Without noticing it, your voices have become louder and louder, so by this moment Harin was next to shouting. He took a second you collect himself and continued speaking— I just can’t understand how you could just… why would you go out with him having me by your side? Can’t you see that I’ve been waiting for you this whole time?
You couldn’t feel your face, or anything else. You had to remind yourself to keep breathing, to blink, to gulp.
—(y/n), the only reason I never told you about my feeling was because I thought you didn’t want a boyfriend, and I didn’t want to destroy the friendship that we’ve always had. But I thought it was clear that you are the person a care about the most in the world, and I never thought you would go out with another boy and leave me looking from the outside like this.
—How… how dare you say that, Harin? How do you think I felt every time you had a new girlfriend? How do you think the word “hermanita made me feel everytime it scaped you’re your lips”? How do you think I felt the moment you told me about Lauren? Why do you think I asked Dongmyeong to help me?
—So it was not true? You really did it to hurt me?
—Harin I didn’t do it to hurt you, I did it so you would finally notice me
You stared to each other’s eyes and Harin let a sigh out while he scratched his head.
—(y/n), there was no need to do that because I only have eyes for you
—Well, that’s not what it seemed, besides, it really worked. Would you have told me all of this if I hadn’t done it?
Again, none of you seemed to find the right words, and it took you by surprise when he suddenly took your hip between his arms and pulled you into his chest.
—(y/n), why didn’t you tell me that you liked me?
—Aren’t you a gentleman? Do you really know me as well as you say you do? How could I ever ask someone else out?
—But still… You should have said something.
You felt your cheeks burn, and your heart beat incredibly fast, as you said the words you never thought you would be able to say out loud.
—Harin, I like you. I’ve liked you for two years now. I like you, please stop thinking of me as your sister, I don’t want to be your sister.
With a smile flourishing in his face, Harin gave you a naughty look and spoke up half-jockingly.
—What do you want to be, then?
—Harin I already told you how I feel. I’m not saying that.
—What? You don’t want to be my girlfriend?
For a moment, you felt like a kid again and felt your eyes light up as you heard those words come out of his mouth.
—Harin! That’s not a proper way of asking a lady!
—Okay, jeez, okay.
He freed you from his hug and took your hands in his.
—(y/n)… do you want to be my girlfriend?
With the biggest smile on your face, you looked at him and finally let out the sigh of relief that you’d been keeping inside for too long.
—Yes, Harin, Yes.

Aikatsu Friends! Episodes 58-63
Smiles are the seeds that bloom into flowers of happiness.
Me? Posting Aikatsu again? Oh boy, I think I’m sick. XD
Okay, jokes aside, aikatsu is back in the blog. I promise I still like aikatsu, the thing is, the subs come out very late and I kinda forget about it because I have stuff to do, and since doing these without subs ain’t the best idea (you gonna see why in a minute) the episodes end up pilling up. I’m a mess, sorry. XD
But anyway we got a lot to cover so let’s get going.
Episode 58 is the start of the Sorbet Kingdom ark.
So to starters, I have to apologize. I always very mad about the whole borders situation last time I did this mostly because I thought Sorbet was like an entire country and what they’ve shown us was just the capital, but from this episode is clear that this isn’t the case. Sorbet is either a city-state or a microstate, pretty much like what Monaco is (the difference being Monaco doesn’t have a king, when sorbet has one), so denying their visa wouldn’t do much since they were traveling to another country that has free passage to Sorbet. So I’m sorry.
Now back to the episode itself, I think they went a bit overboard with how Alicia treated the girls. I’m not saying that she should receive them with open arms and everyone be happy forever, but when you have a scene of she coldly saying that they should fuck off and in the next scene she says to let them use rooms from the castle it gives mixed signals and it just seems dumb. I think they should either had toned her coldness in the first scene and denying Hibiki in a less rash way or make Charles find another place in town to put the girls and be something like “my sister doesn’t want you all here, but I know she’s in pain and I wanna help so I’m gonna sneak you guys to X place”, either option would’ve worked better.
That little flashback about the kingdom was nice, but I don’t think it had a lot of purpose. I think it serves to show Hibiki why Alicia went back to her country and never went to meet her again, but seeing that their relationship was already going places via their text messages and phone calls, it’s odd that this was never brought up by Hibiki or Alicia. I must say for a show about friendship, people in this universe don’t seem to talk to each other at all and is just weird.
The performance... it was okay, I guess. I still don’t know why they had to perform the most basic song in their most basic outfit but I really don’t care that much. What I’m more curious about, as someone who lives in a country where snow isn’t a thing, is can you actually make a stage out of snow and have people stand on top of it without the whole thing collapsing? XD Friends from the northern hemisphere, please tell me.
One last thing before we move on, CHARLES IS ADORABLE AND HE’S THE BESTEST BOY EVER AND I WANNA HUG HIM TILL HIS OUT OF BREATHE. Thank you. XD
I kinda wanna skip talking about Episode 59, because I don’t have a lot to say about the episode itself and all I have in my mind is Mirai’s performance because that’s the only interesting thing this episode has going on for itself.
Like, LMT is there and that’s nice (even though I don’t see why they traveled separated from the main group), I didn’t really understand the whole evol ustakia thing (but those three sisters were a lot of fun), and I honestly didn’t see the point of having Tamaki flashing here and there having troubles just to upload a video.
That final scene with Hibiki and Alicia was nice, we got a little bit of the jeweling dresses lore and a lovely moment of Hibiki promising that she’ll bring everyone’s smiles back. But that’s not enough to hold the episode high.
Mirai’s performance does lift things up a bit, Nice na to meet you is an A M A Z I N G song and it was very refreshing to see something new (which for some reason it seems to be a very rare thing for friends!). This reveal could’ve been more impactful if the opening hadn’t spoiled Mirai’s dress? I believe yes. But even that can’t take away the positives of this performance that was, without a doubt, the highlight of the episode.
While 59 was meh Episode 60 was kinda good, I quite enjoyed this one, I dare to say this is the best one of this ark.
This episode goes hard on the emotional side, we all know this is the first time in the Aikatsu series we see a character die, and it is a very strong scene. Sadly it seems that all of the emotional parts were focused only on the flashbacks and they forgot of bringing this to the present a little bit.
Like, in the present we see more of Alicia’s struggle on trying to be a good ruler for the people and the country she loves while still wanting to do Aikatsu, but everything is still very undertoned. We know she didn’t want to stop Aikatsu but she had to because in her mind that was the correct thing to do, but we don’t see that being verbalized or acted in the present, we see glimpses of it which is interesting, but we could’ve seen more of that.
The main conflict of this episode works just fine, and I like how Tamaki deals with the situation, but when they pull out a kotatsu out of nowhere they lose me in that scene, like how’s that supposed to work outside? Aren’t those things electric? Where are they plugging it in????? C’mon people. I’d like much more to see more of Alicia, maybe she talking to Charles about her duties and everything so that we can see in her the desire to do Aikatsu again rather than the kotatsu scene (even though Mirai’s impression of Aine was really fun to watch).
Seeing Hibiki perform is always great, but seeing Alicia asking Hibiki to perform holds more meaning and is one of those glimpses that I mentioned that I wish we could’ve seen more. Regardless is still great and the moment when Hibiki reassures her promise to Alicia from the last episode just crown up this episode as a good one, despite its flaws.
Loose notes from the episode: Hibiki and Mirai’s competition was fun, I like Karen being the one who gets to win even though she wasn’t competing; the three sisters again are a treat like always; Charles remains the goodest boy ever and I want a plushie of him; and to top it all we got to see Honey Cat for a little bit so we know at least someone in the writing team didn’t forget they exist so, points for this episode.
Episode 61 is the polemic one.
So, the first time I saw this episode I watched it without subs and I watched it alone without watching the 3 episodes past. And at that moment it worked for me, it seemed like a good resolve for this mini-ark.
But watching now with the subs I don’t like it as much.
Don’t get me wrong, I still love Alicia’s performance and the moment she and Hibiki reconciliate is pretty good. I also appreciate having more lore in the Jeweling dresses, I feel like we desperately need a lot more info on them because so far they all just seem like a gimmick and they don’t have a purpose or reason to exist at all so any bit of info we get I’m happy.
HOWEVER.
This episode has a massive throwback, everything on this episode was build upon a lie. I get that Mio’s suggestion was supposed to be a “white lie”, a lie that causes no harm. But that doesn’t work when you make AN ENTIRE CITY LIE and tells them TO PRETEND THEY’RE LIVING AN EXPERIENCE THAT CAN GET THEM DEAD just to make their princess sing and dance on a stage. This is so selfish and so wrong. *sigh* I don’t even want to continue talking about this. Let’s just move on.
Episode 62 is a good change of pace after the low point that 61 was.
Yeah, it was silly. I have a lot of questions about how Love Me Tear got there earlier than the other, and what was the point of the frogs, and how they didn’t give much of a reaction to knowing about Karen’s house when none of them went there before.
But I’m okay with all of that because this episode was very sweet and it was good seeing the “side” girls get some attention. And how good of a combination that Reflect Moon and Wakaba was, I’m legitimately surprised I wasn’t expecting this to work so well, but they formed a very good group to follow around for this period of time.
Having two performances on this episode was a cheap move probably to fill up time but you know what? I’m not complaining. I’m just glad I got to clear my pallet from the terrible after taste last episode left in my mouth.
Episode 63 was nice. I like that they had an episode to reintegrate Alicia in the idol world. Sadly the episode had to share space with Karen's plot that wasn't as strong and interesting and makes a potentially great episode become just a regular one in the end.
And this time I'm being true to my words when I say I don' have anything else to comment about this episode. Like, Karen's dress looks good and her song is nice as well, but I like her old ones better. I don't see the point of Karen hiding to read her fan mail in the middle of the night. And most of Alicia's adapting process was very fun but there's not a lot there to create a conversation on my eyes.
Like, my brain didn't have a lot of work going on while I was watching it, it was a nice watch to just space out a bit while I was thinking in the job application I just dropped in the mayor's office today. I'm sorry if I wasn't as invested in this one as I was for the other ones I promise to dedicate myself more next time FOR THE HONEY CAT EPISODE THAT I'M SUPER EXCITED ABOUT. See ya~ XD

Episode 95: Gem Hunt
“I don’t want you fighting this thing alone.”
I mentioned in my Monster Reunion post that it’s been ages since we’ve had an episode about fighting a Corrupted Gem. The latest examples are Rising Tides, Crashing Skies as a cameo and Reformed as an episode focus, but neither involves an actual mission: the former takes place on the beach, and the latter in the Temple. If we want to look back at a true Season 1-style Gem Hunt, we have to actually go to Season 1: the last episode that featured the Crystal Gems going out into the world with the express purpose of fighting a Corrupted Gem is Island Adventure, sixty-five episodes ago, and that was only the first act of the story.
There are plenty of reasons for this. After Monster Buddies and Ocean Gem the idea of beating up Gem variants that can be friendly and used to be just like the Crystal Gems seemed a lot less fun. After Mirror Gem, the show became more serialized and the need for monster-of-the-week episodes dwindled. After Peridot’s arrival, we got new sentient opponents to worry about until Keeping It Together, where Cluster Gems began standing in for Corrupted Gems. But regardless, the result of this gap is that Gem Hunt gets to feel like a wonderful mixture of old and new: it almost tricks you into thinking this is a throwback to early self-contained missions, until serialized drama barrels in and rips the monster of the week apart.
Gem Hunt wasn’t written with the knowledge that Season 3 would air almost in its entirety within the span of a month, or that this event would be called the Summer of Steven, but relocating to the Great North plays excellently off of these circumstances. With so many episodes coming one after the other, it’s good to have an obvious break from the less arc-driven stories of late, and the snowy environment immediately contrasted with the season of the show and the season of the year. Even before Jasper comes in out of nowhere to reveal the start of an arc, this story feels like a new beginning.
I had to rewatch a few times for this review to get back into the headspace of not knowing the twist, because I forgot how unexpected Jasper was. Maybe some people guessed it, but Steven and Connie only discuss corruption (which Jasper is not yet associated with) and her name isn’t even mentioned before she arrives; contrast with The Message, which gives us a whole song about Lapis Lazuli to set the stage for our “twist,” and Message Received, featuring Peridot gushing about Yellow Diamond in the first act. There isn’t even any fanfare to Jasper’s arrival: she lunges into frame, back turned to the camera, in the middle of our last fight scene. Watching Gem Hunt with the knowledge that she’s coming makes her appearance a little underwhelming, because she just sorta shows up. I frankly don’t remember how shocked I was that she was the humanoid Steven and Connie were tracking, but I wouldn’t be surprised if this scene’s execution was responsible for my lack of concrete “oh wow!” memories.
That said, Jasper’s arrival does fit with the episode’s unusual structure: even back when missions were the norm, we never had an episode that exclusively consisted of a single outing. There have always been introductions framing our quest (like Cheeseburger Backpack or An Indirect Kiss), or episodes beginning in media res that cut back to Beach City (like Steven’s Lion and Arcade Mania). The closest we’ve had to a full episode mission is Serious Steven, but that includes flashbacks to Funland. Gem Hunt is all set from the start, and the result is an adventure that gets a lot of detail but an episode that speeds right on by. It’s crazy to think that Gem Hunt and, say, Steven and the Stevens are the same length, going by how much stuff happens in each episode: one has a time travel plot and a clone plot and a band plot and several songs, and the other is one long trek through the snow.
While this structure leaves plenty of time for the ending to not feel abrupt, it’s still clearly the start of something big, and in retrospect this feels like an especially complete place-setting episode. But in the moment, it’s a mystery episode! The promo art featuring our leads wearing their Hanna-Barbera Best isn’t the only reference to Scooby-Doo we get: Connie suggests that the gang split up early on, and both kids reference monster suits and property disputes while sipping pine needle tea. We begin by tracking a monster, learn something weird is going on, and investigate. We even get a red herring! It’s basic, but it does wonders for the pacing to always have a concrete goal in mind.
This is what separates Gem Hunt from, say, Open Book. We’re not meandering despite the longer-than-usual scenes and a plot that’s largely about two buds hanging out. We know throughout that we’re going somewhere, which makes me enjoy the former more than the latter even though the latter has a better twist in Connterfeit and a more emotionally compelling climax when Connterfeit forces Steven to come clean about embarrassing emotions. It doesn’t matter how good your destination is if I get sorta bored along the way, and for all of Gem Hunt’s simplicity, I never find it boring.
Granted, a major advantage Gem Hunt has over Open Book is that this Connie is real throughout, which allows her to be an utter delight. Applying the Maheswaran Code of Safety to tracking down and fighting a monster with a giant sword, she takes a character trait that might turn her into an annoying worrywart and instead spends the episode dorking out about survival. Of course she’s basing her actions on a book, this is a girl who went from reading fantasy literature to living a literal fantasy. She’s more role-playing an adventurer than being one, as evidenced by her zealous overpreparation. This nerd’s over here thinking about scurvy an hour into a hike.
And thank goodness Steven is all aboard, because if this episode would suck if it was about Connie being a know-it-all and competing with Steven. Steven invites her enthusiasm without any ridiculous character beats like being worried about his place in the team (more on that coming soon from a more realistic place courtesy of Amethyst) or arrogantly shutting down her ideas. These are two friends on a fun journey, so Connie’s bravado and Steven’s go-with-the-flow attitude are just what we need.
The climax neatly cuts both ways on Connie’s attitude. She loses her composure for a bit and is hard on herself afterwards, but she still gets to show off her training without going overboard. Pearl might not have to do much, but Connie does the right thing in calling for help as soon as she’s able to do so.
I’m hesitant to theorize that this connection is intentional, but I think Connie’s first mission ending in her calling for help (and getting rewarded for it) is a cool lens to examine her anger with Steven in the Breakup Arc after he leaves her behind on Earth for the second time in one season. Gem Hunt might breeze on by for us, but as Connie’s first mission it’s bound far more impactful for her than it is for Steven and Pearl, and the lesson she learned from it is to let people help you. Steven taking the fall for everyone is the exact opposite of what she does here.
Comedy flows freely among all three of our leads—my favorite gag is Pearl reminding the kids that humans need food, she really is the world’s most maternal alien—but the third act entrance cleverly mines that humor for drama. Pearl’s nervous chatting over the walkie talkie comes back to bite the kids when she won’t stop yelling out of their speaker and alerting the Corrupted Gem to their presence, and we can hear that her jokey smugness from “Who’s your favorite Gem?” has crumbled from anxiety with time. Steven’s photography begins as a joke, and breaks the tension when he snaps a shot of Jasper mid-intimidation, but that picture returns us to a state of dread to end the episode. Efficiency might not seem as crucial in an episode with so much time to breathe, but you’ll never see me complaining about a story skillfully repurposing its material.
Still, I wouldn’t quite call this a comedy-centric episode, and not just because it’s primarily a mystery. Connie gets more focus than Steven, but he has plenty of time to remind us that he’s still thinking about Nephrite and all the other Corrupted Gems he could be helping by talking to Connie about it. What could have served as a rote reminder of Corrupted Gems turns into a plot point, as his desperation for signs of hope causes them to assume the humanoid tracks are from a Corrupted Gem trying to heal. But its larger importance, as usual, is its development of our characters.
Steven isn’t as gung-ho about fighting monsters as he was at the beginning of the show, and sees this mission as a way of helping someone who’s hurt rather than ridding the world of a threat. And Connie isn’t as emotionally distant as she was at the beginning of the show, sensing how bothered Steven is by corruption and asking if he’s okay. After the enjoyable but blunt Greg the Babysitter, it’s wonderful to see how much these kids have grown and bonded without the episode shouting “HEY CHECK IT OUT THESE KIDS HAVE GROWN AND BONDED” at us.
Gem Hunt works well as a transitional episode, borrowing elements from Monster Reunion and Alone at Sea and allowing Steven and Connie’s growing competency to form the basis of Amethyst’s angst in Crack the Whip. But it does what I believe Super Watermelon Island and Gem Drill failed to do: it tells its own story first, and allows its role as a pivot point to come second. It means that things aren’t as overtly different afterwards as they were when Malachite defused and the Cluster was dealt with, but if that makes for a better episode, I’ll take it.
Future Vision!
It’s nifty that I wrote this episode the same week that Escapism aired, because it allowed me to immediately identify the Protes bar Connie brought to space. She’s still prepared, folks!
If every pork chop were perfect, we wouldn’t have inconsistencies…
Both this episode and I are aware that references to “Connie’s first mission” are talking about her role as a swordswoman, but it’s still a little strange that nobody brings up her tagging along with the Crystal Gems (and Greg) and Ocean Gem.
We’re the one, we’re the ONE! TWO! THREE! FOUR!
This is a borderline episode for sure, because I enjoy it, but in the end it still feels a little too light to rank higher than a like. Which may sound odd considering my top two episodes, but I mean light in terms of that structure rather than the episode’s weight in regards to the greater plot: this may be a terrific episode about Steven and Connie hanging out and adventuring, but it lacks that oomph factor to make me truly love it. Fortunately it’s not a consolation prize to “only” be an episode I like.

Norie x Ignis #15 “If you throw a snowball at my face so help me.”
As far as Honoria Curatix was concerned, it was too damn cold outside. Even with her hat, gloves, boots, pants with leggings underneath and her three layers of tops including a coat, the cold ripped right though her, more than any monster had ever done. With the snow covering the ground and a harsh breeze blowing against her face, the huntress was miserable. The only reason she had not booked it back to her cozy, warm apartment was that the royal advisor himself requested she accompany him out this weekend morning. Why he had asked her of all people, she was not sure, but although she wouldn’t ever admit it to him, she was glad he did, despite the current circumstance she was in at the moment.
“Listen Scientia,” she spoke between her chattering teeth, “As fun as this might be for you, I’m freezing my ass off. Could we wrap this up and head somewhere warm?”
“I promise after this we can go and grab a hot meal, my treat,” he spoke, turning his head to her and giving her a wide grin, one that made Norie’s heart flutter, “But humor me just a bit longer. We’re almost there.”
The advisor was a few steps ahead of the huntress, his hands stuffed into the pockets of his dark blue trench coat. He was dressed rather casually today; jeans, lace up boots, and even a wool cap and scarf. Casual Ignis was a sight Honoria never got to witness but had no problem taking in the view as of right then. Not even she was able to understand how he only seemed to appear more handsome now dressed casual; than he did day to day in his suit and tie. The only thing she was one hundred percent sure of was that if it hadn’t been for the cold, she may have quite possibly tried to jump his bones right then and there.
“Where is there,” the woman huffed, stuffing her hands under her arms.
“So impatient Miss. Curatrix,” he chuckled.
“I’m about to freeze to death.”
“If it’s the cold that winds up taking you down then I’d be surprised.”
“Whatever,” she grumbled, taking in her surroundings.
When she had met up with Ignis earlier that morning, it was at the front of the citadel, where he awaited for her out font with the Regalia. Being a well prepared gentleman, he of course opened the door for her and when she entered the vehicle was thrilled to see a hot cup of coffee waiting for her. The ride to their destination had not taken incredibly long, maybe a half hour or more at most. They chatted about how they have been, Honoria finding it quite easy to speak to the royal advisor. She was also discovering how easy it was for her to become entranced by his intoxicating aroma, which filled the car. She was thankful when the car stopped, to be able to exit and clear her mind.
Once they had arrived, Ignis began leading her towards their mysterious destination. The park was one of the only places in Insomnia, besides maybe the Citadel Garden, where there were trees and grass and foliage everywhere. However all the trees were no longer green, for all the leaves had fallen and the grass was not visible due to the multiple inches of snow covering the ground. The snow everywhere created what quite well could be described as a winter wonderland.
In spite of the beautiful scenery, Honoria still begrudgingly trudged through the park and up the hill in front of her, following diligently behind Ignis. Not noticing him stop, she ran right into the back of him, mumbling a “sorry” for the lack of attention.
“Alright here we are,” he spoke, looking over to her as she glanced past him. In front of them was an open area, surrounded by trees covered in icicles and shrubs shrouded in snow. There was a line drawn in the snow down the middle of the field and two baskets, one sitting on one side and the other on the opposing side. Each carrier was filled to the top with what appeared to be perfectly sculpted snow balls.
“What is this,” she questioned, taking a few step forward, standing ahead of him.
“This is why I dragged you out here today,” Ignis answered, walking past her and down the hill while unbuttoning his jacket.
“What are you doing,” Norrie shivered, “It’s freezing.”
“Honoria,” Ignis called to her, dropping his jacket unto the ground and revealing a green sweater underneath. Seeing that damn sweater again brought red to Norrie’s cheeks, remembering the last time she had seen it and practically begged Ignis to let her wear it. Not one of her finest moments. “You have boasted many times that you can best me in any form of combat so today I wanted to test that hypothesis.”
Honoria peered her eyes unto the advisor and then unto the baskets and repeated that a couple times before shaking her head, “This is ridiculous. Scientia you must have lost your damn mind if you think I’m going to participate in this. It’s cold; I can’t feel my feet and my nose may actually fall off. I’m heading back to the car.” Just as she turned her back to him she was stopped dead in her tracks by the impact of what she could only assume to be a snowball hitting her backside.
Slowly turning back around she locked in on her target, who happened to be glancing around, “Wonder where that came from,” he spoke, pushing his spectacles up the bridge of his nose.
“You’re dead Scientia,” Honoria growled, unzipping her jacket, throwing it to the ground despite the cold and stomping over to her basket.
“There she is,” Ignis exclaimed, rolling up his sleeves, “Rules are you can’t cross that line. Otherwise first person to get hit loses.”
“Perfect,” Honoria nodded, grabbing a snowball, the cold seeping through her gloves, “If you throw a snowball at my face so help me, I will cross this line and end you.”
“Noted.”
And with that Honoria was the first to fire the first shot, hurdling the snowball with everything she had at Ignis. He gracefully angling himself out of the way and sent a throw over at her. She ducked and then rolled immediately out of the way as he suddenly sent over another shot. Scooping snow into her hands, she molded a ball of her own and chucked it over at him, to which of course he dodged. Surging back over to her basket and jumping over and under all his throws, Norie grabbed for all of her premade ammunition. Then right after another she sent throw after throw, several snowballs flying right past Iggy’s face.
“Not too shabby Curatrix,” he teased, somehow managing to dodge every shot she took.
“I’d say the same to you but I’m not even breaking a sweat,” she laughed, unbeknownst to her something that sounded sort of like music to the advisor.
“Is that so,” he questioned, “Then perhaps we should make this more interesting.” With those words he turned into what could be described as a snowball firing machine, throwing one after the other causing Honoria to abandon her basket and run all over, dodging every throw through cartwheels, rolls, and hurdles. She then began to notice her footing becoming more unsteadied. Glancing down she noticed ice spreading across the field and glanced over to Ignis to see a dagger thrown in the ground causing the source of the ice.
“Dammit Scientia, that’s cheating,” Honoria yelled, trying to balance herself.
“Only rule was that you couldn’t cross the line,” he bantered back, “Weapons are full game.”
“Love that you didn’t make sure to mention I should bring any today,” she huffed, crouching on the ground and watching him, casually grab for another snow ball. Taking a small knife off of her side she stuck it into the ice and held herself steady. Waiting for him to fire again she made sure the knife was unmovable before placing her foot upon it and shoving herself back towards the basket. She sprung across the ice, and casually scooped up her basket, eyeballing her source of victory.
She took snowball after snowball out of the basket and hurdled them at Ignis who continued to doge every throw but also begin to back up as Norie approached the line. The closer she got the further back he moved. When she had him right where she wanted him she made sure to fired everything she had left before throwing her basket at the tree covered in piles of snow positioned directly above Ignis. Before he could even realize what she was doing she reached into her boot and pulled out a collapsible polearm and threw it through the basket sending it with force into the tree and disrupting the snow. Norie held her breath as she watched the heavy snow fall from the branches and completely pile the royal advisor.
“Oh gods, I went overboard,” she gasped, running over to the mound of snow, “Ignis! Ignis are you alright?”
She began digging through the white powder before a hand burst through the pile and pulled her down. Before she even knew what was happening she was on her back on the snow. Ignis was hovering over her, his hat gone and his hair falling into his eyes, snow decorating his ashen locks. His eyes were shining with a youthfulness Norie had never witnessed before while his cheeks and nose were decorated with a soft blush from the cold.
“It appears I’ve won,” he breathed, leaning on his elbow and a hand positioned on the other side of Honoria’s waist to support himself.
“The hell you did,” she replied, “I covered your ass in snow.”
“True, however the only rules were that you couldn’t cross the line and you had to hit your opponent with a snowball. You did not hit me with a snowball and here you are on my side, indicating you crossed the line. You lost and I won.”
“Oh that’s bull,” Norie shouted, propping herself up on her elbows, her face moving closer to his.
“Maybe so but those were the rules.”
“Okay fine,” she said, finally noticing how he hovered over her, “Then what do you win, bragging rights or were you hoping for something a little more,” she teased.
Noticing how he was positioned, he moved back, “M-my apologies Miss. Curatrix.” As he went to move she stopped him, grabbing his hand and making him halt.
“Don’t be,” she whispered, moving quickly and giving him a quick peck on the cheek, “Congrats Scientia.”
Despite his better judgement he returned the gesture, by placing his hand upon her cheek and kissing her back but upon her lips and not her cheek. She reciprocated by placing her hand over his and grabbing onto the collar of his shirt and pulling him closer. It was strange for Ignis to know better but to not care at that moment in time. She had looked so beautiful when he picked her up and then watching her on the ice made his heart skip beats.
Her lips were soft on his and she tasted of cinnamon and vanilla, an absolutely intoxicating flavor. His free hand ran up and down her sides feeling out every curve, despite the many layers of clothing. Before he even knew what was happening, she managed to roll him over and straddle him, her lips never leaving his. Her hands ran up and down the front of his chest, over the familiar fabric she once worn.
“Nice sweater,” she spoke in between kisses.
“I thought you might like it,” he chuckled, as she pulled away, her face flushed. She was so stunning. But he knew better.
“We should probably get going,” he breathed, propping himself up.
“I hate to admit that you’re right,” she sighed, placing kisses along his jaw and neck, “But I am freezing my ass off.”
“Well how about we go get some food? I did promise to buy,” Ignis asked, moving a strand of hair from Norie’s eyes.
“We could do that,” she agreed, “Or we could go back to my place. Drink some cocoa, watch movies, and cuddle by the fire. Oh, and finish what we have started here. Definitely finish what we started.”
For the first time in his life Ignis didn’t care about what papers awaited him at the Citadel. Didn’t care what meetings he would miss. He didn’t even care that it was incredibly unprofessional of him. In that moment he simply wanted to be with her. He wanted to be warmed by her and spend his spare time with her.
Pulling out the keys from his pocket, he dangled them in front of her, “Should I drive or you?”

One Night’s Bounty
Pirate Queen Mina takes Izuku hostage. This turns out to be a very enjoyable thing.
[Izuku x Mina] [Aged up characters, Pirate AU, NSFW, Bondage]
Izuku's head was throbbing when he opened his eyes to complete darkness. Confusion filled his mind as he tried to look around, turning his head but finding only more darkness.
"He's awake captain!" A chiper voice called out.
The familiarity of that voice caused his memory to slowly stir.
"Finally!" The blackness was abruptly lifted and he closed his eyes as they were assaulted by harsh sunlight. It took a few long moments for his eyes to adjust to the light. "Welcome aboard the Alien Queen!"
Standing before him with a bright grin was the infamous pirate queen, Mina Ashido. She was holding a blindfold in her hand and he realized that was why he'd awakened to darkness. He recalled doing battle with her, poorly, but not the conclusion of said fight. Well, he didn't have to guess what had lead him here. Clearly, he'd lost.
Izuku tried to get to his feet. He jerked up, but found that most of his body was bound up in rope. Mina's smile widened. He glared at her.
"Oooh! I think he's mad at you, Mina." Cooed the voice from earlier. Now he could recognize it as Mina's first mate, Tooru Hagakure. She'd caused them nearly as much trouble as her captain between creative use of her quirk and her too playful personality.
Mina looked over her shoulder, addressing her first mate as she said, "He's so cute when he's angry."
His eyes darted around, spotting the rest of the crew standing around the deck; Mei Hatsume, Kyoka Jirou, and Pony Tsunotori. He's heard about her crew, but most of them were much more mysterious figures to Izuku. They didn't cause nearly as much trouble as their captain had.
"What do you want with me?" He demanded. "And what have you done with my friends?" He'd been leading a mission when they caught them him, but he didn't see anyone else around him.
"Oh, don't worry about them," Mina said dismissively.
"They're fine," Pony told him. "We let most of them go."
Mina turned around to face her crew member, stomping her foot as she yelled, "Why did you tell him that?"
Pony tilted her head. "Was it a secret?"
"If you weren't so cute I'd toss you overboard," Mina told her. "But it would be like drowning a puppy and I'd feel bad."
Pony's expression didn't change as she looked at her captain with a guileless smile. They never could figure out whether the girl was a prisoner on this vessel or an ally, and even now Izuku couldn't be certain of the truth. He had other things to worry about first, though.
"Who else is here?" He asked. He wouldn't be complacent if his friends were still in danger.
"Just Mashirao," Tooru said. "But he's for me."
"And you, Izuku, are for me." Mina winked. He felt a blush spread across his cheeks in response. This wasn't the first time the pirate queen had flirted with him, but he'd never considered her interest to be serious. He wasn't quite sure what to do in the face of this revelation.
"What do you want to do with?" He asked. He was trying to contain his nervousness, but the situation was full of too many uncertainties.
"I'm going to keep you, of course!" Mina told him. "I stole you fair and square. That makes you my bounty."
"Bounty?" He repeated
"Yep! So just sit back and look pretty."
"Captain," Kyoka spoke up. She often wore a deadpan expression on her face and now was no different. Izuku wondered if she enjoyed being a pirate like the rest of them seemed to or if she had some other reason for traveling with them. "We don't know how long it'll be until Admiral Yaoyorozu tries to mount a rescue. Until then, we should be on guard."
"Yep. You're absolutely right about that," Mina agreed with a bright smile.
"But since I know you aren't going to listen to me, I'm just going to take the wheel," Kyoka told her.
"You know me so well."
"Well I'm not wasting time here when I have my own hostage to play with," Tooru said.
Mina waved her off. "Yeah, yeah. Mei, you're our look out. Pony, go fetch us food."
"Okay." Pony answered quickly and scurried off.
"Whatever you say, captain." Mei gave her a sloppy salute before climbing up to her post.
Once it was just the two of them, Mina sat down in front of him. She sighed as she leaned back on her hands. "Man, running a ship is hard."
"Yeah," He agreed. "Maybe if you had more crew members... and weren't an outlaw."
She laughed. "Ha! No Way! Where's the fun in that?"
"It's plenty fun," He told her.
"Nah. I'd rather live a life where I can steal boys and make them fall in love with me." She tapped a finger on his lips.
He blushed and looked away. "You think I'm in love with you?"
"Not yet," She said. "But you will be."
Pony returned with a large plate of food, offering it to Mina with a smile. "Here you are, captain."
"Thanks," Mina answered. "Now make yourself scarce." Pony trotted off without a word. "Now, Izuku," Mina said. "I'm going to feed you."
"What?"
"I can't have you starving and I can't let you go, so indulge me," She told him.
He was embarrassed, but there wasn't much that could be done about that. He looked away from her and opened his mouth.
"Izuku. Wake up."
Izuku opened his eyes slowly. He couldn't remember falling asleep and, as his vision cleared, he noticed that he was no longer on the deck. The question tumbled out before it was fully formed in his mind. "Where am I?"
Mina leaned into his view with a mischievous smile. "The captain's quarters."
"The captain's..." His voice trailed off as he realized his situation. He'd fallen asleep and woken up in Mina's bedroom. The softness beneath him let him know that he was on her bed without having to look around and his restricted movement let him know that he was still tied up.
"It's dark out now, so we'll be safe," She said.
"Safe?" He questioned. "Safe from what?"
"Your friends don't attack before morning's light," She told him. "So this night could be the only one we get together." She crawled over him, leaning her face close to his own. His breath caught in his throat and his heartbeat sped up. He could feel the heat spreading across his face and his eyes widen as she got closer. "You don't have to say yes," She told him. "Just don't tell me to stop."
She paused long enough for him to speak if he wanted. Maybe he should have. What would the admiral think if she found out that he'd become entangled with a pirate? He didn't say anything, though. He closed his eyes and waited for Mina to claim his lips.
Mina slid her tongue over his lips before fully pressing her own to his. She hummed with pleasure as she locked her lips with his, slipping her tongue into his mouth and deepening the kiss. Her body was pressed close to his and her hands came up to slid her finger into his hair.
Izuku wished that he wasn't so rigidly bound. He wanted to touch her, but his hands were firmly tied behind his back and his ankles were tethered together. He poured all of his passion into kissing her back. He swirled his tongue around hers and playfully nipped at her lips. She responded by humming pleasure, pressing her body even closer to his.
Mina let her hands travel down his body. She pulled at his shirt, using her acid to melt the material until it was out of her way. She slid her hands up his chest, then lightly raked her nails back down. Izuku gasped, breaking the kiss, and she pulled away from him. She moved down, leaving a trail of bites and kisses along his neck.
"Izuku," She said softly. "I didn't know you were in such good shape." He blushed at the compliment, turning a brighter shade as she dragged her tongue down his chest. She looked up, staring deeply into his eyes as she grinned. "I could eat you up, Izuku."
"Don't say embarrassing stuff like that," He responded quietly.
She giggled. "I can't help it if it's true," she said. She laid a trail of kisses along his stomach, then dipped her tongue into his navel. He let out a soft, breathy sound of pleasure. She smiled as she kissed her way back up to his face and dragged her tongue across his lips until they parted. Mina moved closer and he leaned up for the kiss. She bit his lip playfully and he surged forward, capturing her mouth.
Izuku kissed her roughly, teeth and tongue battling with hers. She moaned at the treatment and her hands tangled in his hair again, keeping him close. She tossed her leg over his, straddling him as he sucked on her bottom lip. She pressed herself against the gradually growing bulge in his pants. He groaned loudly.
She pulled away from his lips and moved back down his body. She left kisses and bites on his neck, swirling her tongue as she went down his chest, and stopped once she reached his pants. She deftly undid the buckles holding them closed and pulled both his pants and underwear down enough to free his cock. She looked up to meet his eyes before licking him from base to tip. Izuku let out a shuttering breath.
"You're so excited, Izuku." Mina licked the tip of his cock, watching him as he jerked and panted, wanting to get closer to her. "I admit, I'm excited too."
"Mina." He moaned as she gently suck on the tip. His hips were rocking forward, trying to chase the warmth that she was teasing him with, but she pressed down on his hips to keep him in place.
"Patience, Izuku." She told him with a smile.
"Y-you're one to talk a-about patience," He panted.
"You're right," She agreed. Then she leaned forward and took his entire length into her mouth. Izuku threw his head back and whined. His eyes fell closed and his mouth fell open in pleasure. She pulled back, swirling her tongue on the underside of his length before moving forward to take him in again. Mina's head moved steadily up and down as she sucked on his cock. Her moans sent small vibrations through him and he whined again.
Her hands stroked his hips gently before questing higher. She traced the outline of his muscles, moving up to his collar bone before raking her nails back down.
Izuku let out a choked moan. He opened his eyes and lifted his head enough to watch her. There was something so enticing about watching his cock disappear into her mouth. He couldn't catch his breath. Her eyes raised just enough to meet his gaze and shivers traveled through his entire body at the charged look she gave him.
Mina pulled back off of his cock. "I can't hold back when you look at me that way, Izuku."
"Good," He said. "Don't hold back."
Mina moved up his body, leaning in to kiss him. She lingered on his lips a long moment, soft and sweet compared to the frenzy they were in earlier. She pulled back with a smile and whispered, "I won't."
She moved herself over his cock and slowly sunk down on it. They moaned in tandem, Mina closing her eyes briefly as he filled her up. She moved back up until only his tip was inside her, then sank back down. "God, Mina..." He moaned softly.
She increased her pace gradually. Moving on and off slowly to start, before pumping herself up and down at a frenzied pace. He tried to thrust his hips up to meet her, but there wasn't much he could do. He was at the mercy of her pace. She had her hands on his chest for balance and she swiveled her hips as she tried to hit her sweet spot. She was more beautiful than Izuku could stand. Her eyes were closed in concentration and her head was thrown back in passion. He wished he could hold her, touch her, and couldn't help but to try even more desperately to thrust up into her.
Mina opened her eyes at his renewed effort. She had a lust glazed daze as she smiled at him. She adapted her pace to meet his own and the most beautiful moan poured from her lips. "Oh, Izuku."
One of her hands slid between her thighs and he groaned at the sight of her touching herself. He grew harder at the sight and he wasn't certain how much longer he could last.
"M-Mina," He breathed out.
"Yes," She breathed out. "Come on, Izuku."
He couldn't hold back any longer. He cried out as he climaxed and she was right on his heels, clamping down around him as she hit her peak.
They stared into each other's eyes as they both struggled to catch their breath. After a few minutes, she leaned down to press a soft kiss onto his lips. "That was worth a kidnapping, wasn't it?" She asked.
Izuku laughed. "Mina, please, next time just ask me."
"Would you have really said yes if you were asked out by an infamous pirate queen?" She asked him.
"If it was you, yes." He admitted.
"Oh." She looked at him in surprise a small lilac blush coloring her cheeks. She twirled a finger across his chest as she lowered her gaze. "Well, maybe next time I will."
He smiled at her.
Mina leaned over to kiss him again. "Now, let's get you cleaned up in case your rescue comes in the morning."

Dragons are awesome! And Jack loves em too so I have an idea. A Jack x reader (maybe s/o) where the reader can both fully and partially shapeshift into a dragon thanks to a magic necklace she has. Jack doesn't know the necklace is responsible and one day when she's not wearing it he tries it on cause it's cool looking and ends up accidentally changing either fully or partially into a dragon. The reader ends up having to show him the ropes since the getting the ability to shapeshift is permanent.
Oh wOWZA okay so I may have gone a bit overboard with this. I managed to write this in a DAY cause bless Monster Energy.
But I hope ya’ll enjoy the story~!! I really did have fun writing this one ^^
“Shit, shit, shit. Where the hell did I put that damn thing?!”After nearly tearing apart your entire room, you let out a huff of annoyance and fell back onto your messy bed, gazing up at the ceiling. “Okay, okay..just relax [y/n],” you put a hand to your slightly sweating forehead. “It’ll probably turn up eventually…you can’t lose sight of a glowing piece of jewelry that easy.”The “glowing piece of jewelry” in question was a necklace with a dragon claw gripping a colorful crystal ball that swirled with magic. However, that was not the only thing it did:It granted you the power to shapeshift either fully or partially into an actual dragon. It was something that had been passed down by your family, from generation-to-generation. After wearing it enough times the ability to shapeshift became permanent and you would no longer have to keep it on you all the time.So in a sense you didn’t really need it anymore. But because you had no one to give it to, you were responsible for guarding it and ensuring that something so sacred didn’t fall into the wrong hands. And here you were, thinking about how you were officially and utterly screwed for losing it.Now your mind began to race with thoughts, such as the possibility of Anti having it. Oh Heaven forbid. Who knows what sort of destruction he could cause with that kind of power at his disposal? No matter what, you had to get that necklace back..even if it killed you.You sat up with a sigh, deciding to go interrogate each and every one of the egos. But as you stood up from your bed, however, you suddenly heard loud, running footsteps outside your room. Confused, you quickly went over to your door and opened it, glancing down the hallway and blinking in surprise as you saw the door to Jack’s recording room slam shut.‘Hmm..I think I just might have found the culprit.’ And so you went to investigate.……“Jack?” You gently opened the door, stepping inside and shutting it.The moment you did that was the moment you heard the sound of quiet, muffled crying.Looking over you could see Jack curled up in the furthest corner of the room, facing the wall with his hood drawn over his head. There couldn’t be any reason he’d be in that sort of position unless he was hiding something. And you knew for sure what it was. However before you could yell at him for taking your necklace, you first had to calm him down. The poor guy looked like he was scared out of his mind, which would make sense as he did not know of its magical properties whatsoever.“Jack? It’s me.”The Irishman fell completely silent for a moment, before he trembled slightly and curled up, trying to make himself seem small. “N-Nope..Jack isn’t h-here,” he mumbled. “Jack’s visiting Shametown for a little while…”Normally you’d chuckle at that joke, but this was a serious matter. “What happened?” You pressed, walking closer and sitting down behind him. “You can tell me.” Setting a hand on his back, you could feel several sharp spines underneath his clothing.“I-I..think…Marvin did somethin’ to me. I don’t know what b-but…I don’t want you to-”“It’s fine, dude,” you reassured him, moving your hand to his shoulder and trying to get a glimpse at his face, but he ducked his head between his arms quickly. You sighed softly, returning to your original position. “Jack, listen..I’m not gonna laugh or scream at you. Just take off the hood and look at me…please?”“….y-you promise?”“Yes. I promise.”“Alright..here goes nothin’..” With a shaky sigh, Jack finally turned around to face you, pulling down his hood and raising his head up. Your eyes widened in surprise as you took in his half-dragon appearance:On the side of his face, trailing all the way down his neck, were shiny, light green scales. They weren’t exactly plates, as the skin only appeared to look like them. His eyes glowed slightly blue as well. In addition, a pair of sleek, black horns pointing backwards had grown on his head. His hands and feet had turned into green dragon claws with sharp nails. And finally, you could see his tail that was wrapped around his waist, tipped with a diamond shape. You were always interested in what people looked like in their half-dragon forms, because not all of them looked the same. They’d often have different-colored scales, different places where said scales would be, and various types of horns and tails. Very rarely, though, would they have wings. Nobody you knew has acquired them after their first transformation. Then you noticed that, lo and behold, he was wearing your sacred necklace, which was now swirling with blue, green, and brown colors. Another thing was that the ball would change colors that reflect the wearer’s favorites. As you gazed at him, Jack shifted uncomfortably, craning his neck and raising a claw with the intention to scratch it. But you gently grabbed both of his hands before he could do so, causing him to blink with surprise and confusion. “Don’t scratch. It only irritates the scales,” you told him, setting his hands down in your lap.“Wh-What?” He muttered. “How..did you know-?”“Because this isn’t Marvin’s doing. It’s my necklace you have right there that turned you into this.”Gawking slightly, he stared down at the pendant, before glancing back up at you, his mouth agape. “Holy shit…really?!!”“It sounds crazy, but it’s true,” you chuckled. “It holds a sacred power that allows my family and I to shapeshift into either a half-dragon, as you are now, or a fully-fledged dragon.”“W-Wow…I…had no idea. I just thought this was a badass necklace.”“And so you took it from me.” A slight frown appeared on your face as you let go of his hands. “Where did you find-?”“I-I found it lying around,” Jack explained, holding the pendant carefully and watching the swirling colors. “I had no idea this was yours…and I definitely didn’t know it could turn me into…this…..I’m really sorry [y/n].” He looked back up at you with a guilty expression. “I should’ve known better than to-”“I’ll forgive you, Jack.” You sighed, giving him a reassuring smile. “I should’ve probably told you about it beforehand. But I’m just glad that Anti didn’t get a hold of it.”“Better me than him, right?” He chuckled lightly, before he traced a claw along his spiny tail. “So..is this, like, a permanent thing?”“Since you donned the necklace…yes.”His breath hitched as he snapped his head up, panic and fear evident in his eyes.“But,” you said calmly. “You won’t stay this way forever. You’ll have the ability to shapeshift between a human, a half-dragon, and a dragon permanently. Now it’s just a matter of learning how to do that until you don’t need to wear the necklace anymore…which I can easily help you with.”After hearing your words, he relaxed and sighed in relief, leaning back against the wall. “Oh..alright. But..I gotta say that’s pretty fuckin’ awesome.” He grinned, staring at his claws with childish joy now. “I can become a goddamn dragon!! This is like somethin’ out of a fantasy novel!”You smiled a bit, glad to see the light return to his eyes.“But..I..don’t know if I’m a fan of this..hybrid-thing,” Jack muttered, looking up at you as his smile faltered. “You know I kinda..freaked out when I first saw my face and-”“That’s why you ran and hid in here?”He simply nodded in response.“Ah, that’s understandable,” you reassured him. “Don’t worry. I’m not a fan of it either. Nobody in my family really was. I’m more than happy to show you how to become a fully-fledged dragon if you’d like.”Once more, he nodded, although the look on his face told you that he seemed uncertain about something.“If you’re worried about your mind going “feral” as they say..it won’t. Your humanity won’t go anywhere. The only thing is you won’t be able to communicate in words, depending on which type you turn into. But should that happen you’ll eventually gain the ability to speak telepathically to compensate….does that make sense?““Yeeaah..” Jack muttered, still sounding unsure, but he sighed in defeat. Seeing as you knew more about this than he did, he was willing to trust every word you spoke. “So could you teach me how to turn into a dragon now?”You blinked in surprise, glancing around the room with uncertainty. “In here?”“Why not?”“Because, like I said before, we don’t know what type you’ll turn into.” Standing up, you rolled up your sleeves and looked at his equipment. “How about we move some stuff around?”“Sure thing!” He sprang to his feet with eagerness. And with that, the two of you got to work.……………“Okay so…you’ll have to think about what form you wanna become. And when you do just touch the little crystal ball.”“…and that’s all?”“Pretty much. How about we start small and you can try turning human?”“Alrighty.” Jack did some stretches and craned his neck, as though he was getting ready to do a workout video. “I’ll try to think of nothin’ but that.”You stood back and watched carefully. After a few, long moments, he took a deep breath and tapped the ball on the necklace, closing his eyes. Instantly, the entire necklace glowed a bright green, the energy soon spreading throughout his entire body, which made him growl and fall to his knees.Of course, you may have forgotten to mention he’d feel a small pinch when shapeshifting for the first time. Then a bright flash was emitted, causing you to shield your eyes so you didn’t go blind.Once the light receded, however, your jaw dropped in shock as Jack had turned not into a human…but a green Wyvern with brown splotches.“O-Oh wow..” You breathed, stepping forward and gazing up in awe at the creature.Miraculously he wasn’t big enough to hit the ceiling, instead being at medium-size, which made you glad that nothing was broken while he transformed.Jack looked at both of his wings, before glancing down at you, flapping them happily as his tail swayed. “I’m impressed, Jack,” you chuckled, although you frowned slightly. “But..I told you to focus on becoming a human.”His lips curled down into a frown as well and he crouched down in front of you, placing the tiny claws that were fused to his wings on the ground to steady himself. You simply sighed and shook your head. “I guess you were too excited about being a dragon, huh?”He nodded in response, chirping happily.Walking up to him, you grinned and gently rubbed his snout. “Well, this is the first time I’ve ever seen someone successfully transform after only wearing the necklace for a day…so I’ll let you off the hook. Can you open your mouth for me please?”Jack complied with your request and opened his jaw, allowing you to see his sharp teeth. The fangs were tipped with yellow-green. “Ah. So you’re a poisonous-type and a Wyvern. That’s an extremely rare combination,” you mused, taking a step back. “Alright. You can turn back if you want to.”Nodding once again, he closed his eyes and tapped the crystal ball again. And just like that he was back to his normal, human form. Before you could say anything, he ran over and hugged you tightly. It caught you off-guard for a moment, but then you smiled and hugged him back. “You did amazing, Jack. You seem to really love your dragon form”“I do so much!” He pulled away, grinning like a dork as he bounced with joy. “This is probably the coolest fuckin’ thing that ever happened to me!”But then he abruptly stopped and looked at you, chuckling nervously. “..w-well..I mean this wasn’t suppose to happen in the first place really..s-since I stole this necklace..but-”“Ah, don’t worry about it,” you patted his shoulder. “Just consider your wish to be a badass dragon granted, my friend~”

Prompt: YOU SHOULD WRITE ABOUT RAMEN NOODLES, KAY THANKS BYE
((sorry for not having this up sooner. it accidentally posted privately.))
Word Count: 1717 - Characters: Jeremy Heere, Michael Mell, Christine Canigula, The Squip - Ships: Meremy Hell
Notes: Squip lives and is weak but Michael and Jeremy are dating and Christine is a bean.
The sound of a bell was what initially raised the two teenager’s heads at the same time. The only problem with raising your heads at the same time is that they can impact. Hard.
“And this is why this place will be perfect for you two!” A chipper voice came from the side of them, Christine Canigula.
Jeremy laughed. “If you say so, Chris.” He scoffed. Usually, his go-to date restaurant was the 7-11 down the street with the great sushi and slushies. Unfortunately, Christine was not happy to find out that he and Michael hadn’t been getting the “ultimate dating experience.” Sure, she was aroace, but eventually, Michael and Jeremy gave in.
It lead them on a trip to New York, spending the morning walking around Times Square (and fanboying like crazy over the new Nintendo Switch as well as binge-eating red M&M’s at the official store.) However, now they were in Brooklyn upon Christine’s suggestion to catch an Uber and drive down. Christine had whispered in the driver’s ears the place to put into the GPS, and soon the two boyf riends were off, not having the slightest clue where they were headed.
Turns out, they were here: Ichiran NYC. It was a Japanese chain that had recently moved to NYC and sold “the best ramen ever in actual human existence,” according to Chris.
Michael took off his headphones for a minute, hanging them on his neck. “So what exactly is so special about this place?” He asked, looking around. “I can make twelve packages for three bucks at home.” Jeremy couldn’t help but laugh. It was true. The two teenage boys had enough ramen to last them throughout the rest of their junior and senior year at high school. Christine joined in the laughter.
“Trust me, you’ll like this place. Now c'mon. That was the bell for us.” The theater nerd walked the two boys down a pathway, to a row of enclosed spaces. It looked like the SATs in the cafeteria at Middleborough. Michael walked sideways, poking his head in and out of the tiny stalls. Jeremy chuckled and elbowed him in the side. The boy in the red sweatshirt whined and flicked Jeremy back. Jeremy was about to tug on Michael’s hair when Christine turned around and shushed them. “God, I can’t take you two anywhere,” she scolded, before turning back around to follow the hostess.
“Enjoy!” The woman said, giving a bow. Christine and Michael bowed back, saying thank you. Jeremy stood there like the awkward, uncultured swine he is. Christine sat down first, purposefully putting herself between the two boyf riends.
“This is the fun part. Nobody talks to you! You even write down your order on this little form.”
Michael held up his hand, leaning back farther so he could see both Christine and his partner. “Wait, but-”
“Buh!
“Wha?”
“No.”
“A-”
“Stop.” Christine snickered. “Now you guys have a chance not to be all lovey-dovey and awkward. Enjoy!” And with that, she stuck her head back into her seat. Jeremy could faintly hear the writing on the paper. He looked up to find that Michael was staring. The boy blushed before placing his head back into the tiny stall. Jeremy found himself alone with his thoughts.
This place definitely wasn’t claustrophobic-friendly. The boy looked down at the menu in front of him. Jeremy ran a hand through his hair, awkwardly fidgeting with the other. The silence was bugging him.
“I can always fix that.”
Jeremy leaped back, nearly falling off the chair at the voice in his head. “You again?” He hissed under his breath. “I just took a shot of Red, you should be offline.”
The Squip laughed. “Yeah, but you also went to the bathroom like four times after that thanks to the street pretzel. The mountain dew is out of your system already.”
The teenager grumbled before leaning back. He was about to ask Michael for a shot of Red Mountain Dew (they kept it in tiny apple juice boxes just in case) when a more feminine face shot in front of him.
“Shhh!” Christine had a finger to her lip-gloss covered lip. She really actually did go a bit overboard at the Forever 21. Jeremy tried to protest, but Christine grabbed his head, turned it back around and nudged him forward with two taps on his back. The lanky teenager found himself alone again.
“Nice try, Jere.”
“Shut up, you stupid computer.”
“Actually, I have more information on my hardware than the internet altogether, so I doubt you should be calling a supercomputer stupid.”
Jeremy scoffed before looking up to the left of his small corner of the restaurant. A button lay there, indicating that it was for placing your order form. The teenager pressed it, submitted his order and laid back. He waited. Jeremy wished he could talk to Michael. He’d speak to him about what new games were out, which was the better console, and how much he was thankful for him and how much he loved him and how much he loved his hair and his hands…
“Getting off topic there, Heere.” The Squip snarked in his brain.
“I wasn’t thinking about… about that.”
The Squip snickered. “You can’t lie to me, Jeremy. I’m inside your brain. Haven’t we gone over this?”
Jeremy blushed. Okay, so maybe he was. “What does it matter? He’s my boyfriend. I can think of him however I want. Freedom of Speech.”
A mini-Squip materialized on the table in front of him, albeit a bit glitched out and missing some important pieces. You know… like legs. “Yeah, but you’re also in a restaurant. So stop that.”
A tickle went down Jeremy’s spine. It was the Squip’s new way of shocking him. Except they were pretty much powerless thanks to the steady Red Mountain Dew diet and newfound self-confidence (from the great Michael Mell).
“Also, you’re talking through your thoughts. Freedom of Speech doesn’t apply here, Heere.” Squip laughed at their own joke. “Oops. Move your hands.” The Squip poofed from in front of him.
“What?” Jeremy started to move his hands when the shutter in front of him opened.
The person behind the counter placed a bowl of ramen in front of him with his selected garlic, scallion, and sliced pork choices. “Tanoshimu!” The male voice called from behind, before placing a pair of chopsticks and a fork at his side and closing the shutter.
Okay, so maybe this wasn’t the pork flavored ramen he got at home, but damn did it smell delicious! Jeremy picked up the fork (even the Squip couldn’t help him with chopsticks) and began to dig in.
“If there’s one thing you humans do well, it’s make food. Judging by the amount of dopamine in your brain, it tastes fantastic. It’s almost like you were kissing Michael.”
Jeremy sputtered, almost choking on the noodle he slurping. “I’m eating here!” He thought angrily. Jeremy could hear the Keanu Reeves doppelganger laughing in his head.
“You look as red as the lanterns in the lobby,” The Squip quipped. Jeremy groaned as he took another bite of pork. Why did it always do this?
“Embarrass you? It’s a form of revenge.”
“I wasn’t asking you.” He grumbled out loud. A quiet giggle dragged him out of the conversation with his computer. Jeremy leaned back once more to see Christine laughing. “What?!” He asked, annoyed.
Christine covered her mouth, giggling. “A-Are you talking to yourself cause you’re so lonely?”
Jeremy put a hand over his chest, acting as though he was offended. “How dare you! Talking to myself? Whatever could make me do that?” He held a confused face before letting his face fall. Christine got the hint.
“Yikes. You don’t think this place has Red Mountain Dew here, do you?” Jeremy gave her a look. “Okay, okay. Fair enough.” She shrugged before turning around. A murmur of talking ensued, ending with a mouthful of “what?!”
The squeak of the stool they had been sitting on could be heard as Michael made his way over. “Yo dude, are you okay? What’s it saying? Do I have to punch it again?” The poor teenager was so worried he was looking in the wrong pouch for the Red Mountain Dew apple juice boxes.
Jeremy laughed, guiding his boyfriend’s hands to the right zipper. “I’m fine, dude. It’s just being a nuisance.” And also teasing me about liking you.
“He doesn’t need to tease you about that. You show it anyway.”
Shit! Was that out loud?
“Jeremy, you’re still doing it.”
“Oh.”
The moment dragged on for a minute, just the two staring at each other before…
“Here.” Michael handed Jeremy a juice box. He nodded, drinking some.
“Jeremy, please reconsider this. You kno- oh! It hurt zzz when yo-oo! Ow! Jereeeeemeeeey.” The computer slowed to a stop leaving a distinct lack buzzing in Jeremy’s head.
“Thanks, Michael.” Jeremy gave him a hug. It was awkward though, as he was sitting down and Michael standing in front of him. Michael let out a laugh, gently shoving him away.
“We’re supposed to have no contact, remember?” Jeremy made a pouty face. Michael rolled his eyes. “How could I say no to that?” He cupped his hand on Jeremy’s face, pulling him up for a quick, sweet kiss. Jeremy smiled.
“Hey, you two!” A sharp, quiet voice came from their side. Both boys turned at the same time. The only problem with turning your heads at the same time is that they can impact. Hard. Christine sighed. “Even when you’re separated, you’re still adorably awkward nerds.”
