Eunhyuk: First Date

//Requested by an anon! Eunhyuk’s first date with a few mishaps! This was really cute and fun to write! Let me know if you liked it!//

Dressed in your best clothes, makeup perfectly set all ready to go. But, you are still sitting on your couch. Your date is nowhere to be seen, you aren’t even sure if he’s coming to pick you up anymore. He should have been here 20 minutes ago, you thought. It would be a lie if you say you weren’t a little annoyed.

You tried calling him only for it to end up in voicemail. You left him a text, a few, and got no reply. Another 10 minutes passed and you strongly contemplated to just change out of your outfit and call this date off. 

You got up and walked to your bedroom and the bell rang as if on cue. You noticed the fervent knocking against your door. You headed for the door and opened it.

It was Eunhyuk. The man who was late. You wanted to stay angry at him, but seeing him standing there nervously with the bouquet in his hand, you know you couldn’t. 

“You’re late,” you said looking back to the clock hanging in your living room, “very late,”

Eunhyuk looked at you apologetically, “I know. I know,” he says as he passed you the flowers.

You wanted to play this out because teasing Eunhyuk is fun, “you better have a good reason.”

Eunhyuk nodded his head, “I’m not lying but the car wouldn’t start, so I went to borrow Donghae’s. That buzzer didn’t want to pick up my call, so I went up to his house. I told him about it and he still didn’t want to lend me his car..-” 

You raised your brows, slightly doubting his story. He noticed this, “it’s true. Took me forever to convince him, and when I finally did, I got lost with the directions. Lee Donghae, really.”

“Why didn’t you pick up my calls?”

He sighed, “I.. my phone died on me..” 

You nodded your head, “so is the date still on?”, you teasingly asked.

He looked at you, shocked and taken aback. He must have thought you were really angry. “I.. I guess we can do it next time. I’m sorry, really. This wasn’t how I planned today to be,” 

You break out into a smile, “I’m kidding, let’s go,” you joked, putting the flowers aside and then shyly holding his arms. You felt Eunhyuk letting out a sigh of relief and you let out a chuckle.

Throughout the car ride, both of you talked. You had to admit, it was a little awkward at first. But, the more you talk to him, the more realise how much you both have in common. Vanilla latte with half shot? Iced chocolate? Horror movies? Sweatpants over shorts? 

The conversations were lighthearted, mostly funny anecdotes. Eunhyuk who slowly eased into his nervousness was now replying actively even leaning back onto the driver’s seat. 

After a while, Eunhyuk reached the destination. He parked the car swiftly and then exited the car to open your doors for you. “Why, thank you!” you teased. Eunhyuk snickered and bow his head with his hands on his abdomen. 

He offered his arms and you shyly wrap your arms around his, trying your best to not let the shade of red forming on your cheeks be seen by him. “Shall we?” he asked. You just squeezed his arms and nod.

Both of you walked to the entrance of the restaurant. It was weird, not seeing any lights switched on. There also weren’t any other customers around. You thought Eunhyuk went overboard and booked the whole restaurant and you shot him a look. He looked back at you, also obviously flustered. 

When you reached the front door, the big “CLOSED” sign was up in your faces. You read the small note under the sign, “due to an unforeseen circumstance, we are closed for today. We apologise for the inconvenience,” you read clearly and then looked at him.

Eunhyuk couldn’t help but just laughed out loud causing you to also break out into a laughter. “This is the worst,” he says in between his laughs. “I can’t even,” he continues.

“What a ride, Hyukjae. What should we do now? It’s probably too late to go anywhere else.”

Eunhyuk didn’t answer. He purses his lips and you see the gears in his head turning. He finally looked back at you, “okay let’s go”

You weren’t quite sure what or where exactly he is taking you to. After a while, you arrived at a parking lot facing the river. You shot him a puzzled look. “I know you put in a lot of effort dressing up. I didn’t want to just go home. I figured we could just stay in the car, have takeout as we watch the light show over the river,” he answers. 

“This isn’t definitely what I planned, but I was really looking forward to today. I feel like I messed up a lot, so I hope this is enough for all the failed plans I had today. It’s not fancy, but I just don’t want to send you home this early,” he continues.

Was Hyukjae always this sweet? 

Your thoughts were disrupted with the knocking on the car’s window. Eunhyuk opened and stepped out. He paid the guy and then entered the car with plastic bag full of fried chicken and noodles. “Ta-dah!” he shakes the bag.

You laughed, amused and impressed. 

Eunhyuk pulled his seat back so that he has more space to eat, and you did the same. You adjusted your position and faced him, holding the plastic bowl near to you. “Donghae is gonna kill you if he finds out we are eating in his car!”

“It’ll be our secret then,” he shrugs, clearly not caring about Donghae at all.

After the short makeshift dinner, you both were now facing the river, waiting for the light show to start. It was silent. “Hey,” he starts as he looked at you. “I really want to apologise for today,”

You tilt your head to face him. “From being late, to the closed restaurant, to this impromptu dinner,” he says.

You looked at him softly, “It’s okay. Really. I never had a date like this before, but I like this.”

The worry on his face slowly disappears and Eunhyuk felt relief taking over his body. “I feel bad, I really do. But thank you,” 

You just smiled at his response, “if you feel bad, then, make sure you take me out properly the second time...” trailing your words, unsure if he got it.

The light show started immediately after, and you took out your phone to record. “It’s so pretty!” you squealed as you wildly tap his arms.

“Not as pretty as you,” he says and then rest his chin on the steering wheels. 

The date came to an end and he accompanied you back to your apartment, savouring every second remaining. You stood in front of your door, “this is it. Thank you for today,”

Hyukjae looked down to his feet and then back at you, “are you free next weekend? I want to take you out again. Properly.”

You looked away, stifling the smile that’s threatening to break out. He got it. “Yes I am.”

Eunhyuk smiled, “okay, look forward to it!”

You moved closer to Eunhyuk and gave him a small hug, which surprised him. As you break the hug, you left a kiss on Eunhyuk’s left cheeks. “I’ll look forward to next week then,” you said as you unlock the door.

Eunhyuk waited for you patiently, and didn’t move away. He only made his leave once he hears the lock on the other side click, ensuring that you are home safely.

He finally walked away heading to the carpark, his hand holding his left cheeks. He looked back at your apartment and just smiled like an idiot. Cute.

You Appear On Weekly Idol ~ Lee Hyukjae

Your heart was pounding as you took your name badge from your manager and placed it onto your outfit, glancing up into the mirror to check how it looked, straightening out any of the creases that it made in your cardigan.

“Suits you,” a voice smiled from the doorway of your dressing room, causing your body to tense up as you glanced through the reflection of the mirror to see Hyukjae staring back at you.

He walked in straight away as he met your eyes, coming up alongside you as you turned back around to face him properly. The smile on his face grew as he looked at the badge that you wore, letting go of a chuckle as the moment he had dreamt about for so long finally came true.

As soon as you mentioned to Hyukjae that your group was making a comeback he was onto the producers of Weekly Idol. There was no way that he could let another promotion pass for you without getting you to appear on his show.

Luckily for him, the producers were just as keen to introduce the dynamic between the two of you on the show. Everyone seemed to love your relationship, which of course, meant that the ratings were about to go through the roof.

“How are you feeling?” Hyukjae asked you as his arm wrapped around your waist lightly.

A sheepish smile appeared on your face, “excited, nervous. I don’t really know what to expect.”

His head nodded back at you, keeping his eyes on you. “You know that I’ll look after you, it’ll just be like every other show that you guys have been on.”

Having already recorded Knowing Bros with Heechul, and an appearance on Jeongsu’s new show too, you were used to working with the group’s members. But Hyukjae was different, working with your partner was something that you’d never done before.

“I’m nervous too,” Hyukjae suddenly told you as you went silent, “I want to make sure I do a good job to make you guys look good too.”

“You’ve just got to do what you usually do; the girls and I always watch the show every week and laugh at how funny you are, don’t change just because I’m here Hyuk.”

Hyukjae nodded as he let go of a shaky breath, finding himself surprisingly overwhelmed all of a sudden. It was quickly beginning to sink in for him who he was presenting for, and who he needed to make standout in front of the camera too.

“You and Kwanghee are a great team,” you reminded him, resting your hand over his that was against your waist, “even if you make a few jokes at my expense, I won’t mind, you’ve just got to do what you need to do.”

Hyukjae smiled weakly back across at you, “I could never let you look bad, Kwanghee’s already shown me some of the jokes that he wants to make today.”

“And how many did you tell him to cut for being inappropriate?” You joked, knowing Hyukjae all too well.

Just like Hyukjae, Kwanghee also wanted to make the show perfect for you and your group. Through Hyukjae, he had struck up a close friendship too and didn’t want to let either of you down by saying the wrong thing.

Your relationship both complicated and excited things, whilst you were looking forward to showing a different side to the two of you, you didn’t want things to become awkward, or let the focus be on the two of you for too long.

“How’s everyone else feeling about being on the show? Are they nervous like you?” Hyukjae asked, spinning around to see your other members getting prepped by various members of staff.

Without them, you knew that Weekly Idol was a show that you wouldn’t find yourself on. They had been the driving forces to get you on the show and stop you fretting about appearing with Hyukjae for the first time.

“They’re excited to mess around with you,” you chuckled in reply to Hyukjae, “they’re hoping that you’ve picked some good games for us to play with you.”

“I picked ones that I knew you were good enough,” Hyukjae whispered.

“Are you trying to make me look good,” you laughed, tapping against his chest with your free hand, “you’ll get me into trouble.”

Hyukjae’s head shook with a teasing grin, “I’ve got to use my role as an MC to an advantage somehow, what better use than with you?”

Just as Hyukjae fell silent, several staff members began to call down the corridor for everyone to start with their finishing touches. With that, Hyukjae pressed a kiss to your cheek before leaving your dressing room so that you could get ready.

“What’s he up to?” Your leader laughed as she noticed Hyukjae running out of the dressing room to finish getting his makeup touched up before the start of filming.

“Just came to say that he hopes it goes well,” you shyly told her, deciding to keep quiet about the plan for games that Hyukjae had come up with.

They could all see how wide your smile was, excited for the chance to finally feature on Hyukjae’s show. “Are you still a little bit nervous to me on?”

“Honestly, I think I’m good,” you replied to your eldest member, wiping over your name badge. “Seeing Hyuk really just eased my mind, and if something goes wrong, between Kwanghee and Hyukjae, they’ll manage to make it funny.”

“We’ll be on our best behaviour in front of Hyukjae too,” your leader promised as one of the members of staff led you and the rest of the group out of your dressing room and through onto the set where the show would be filmed.

It was a set that you had seen several times before from your various visits to see Hyukjae whilst he filmed but knowing that you were going to be on the other side of the camera had your heart racing a little bit.

Hyukjae and Kwanghee were already in position as you were all led just to the side of the white set, waiting to be introduced. You talked amongst yourselves as the crew set the final bits up, waiting for your call to pay attention.

“He’s looking over here,” one of your members told you, catching Hyukjae’s eye as soon as they looked around the set, “or I think he’s more looking just at you Y/N.”

Your head snapped around to look across to Hyukjae, shaking your head as he offered you a wide smile, assuring you once again that you had nothing to worry about. A loud chuckle came from him as your eyes rolled, the noise enough for several staff members to look around.

“Sorry!” Hyukjae called out, holding his hand up apologetically to the members of staff.

The smile on your face was wide as you turned back around to face your group. “We can expect a lot of trouble with you two today, can’t we? We’ll pop because of this.”

“Blame Hyukjae, I have a feeling that he’ll be trouble,” you told them all, pointing across to where he was stood as you pleaded your innocence, “you guys knew what you were signing up for when you agreed to be on the show.

“I think we’ll get plenty of attention when this episode airs, because of you guys,” your leader chuckled across to you.

“Don’t say that, Hyukjae really will take all the credit.”

Duvet Days - Eunhyuk

A/N: Something fluffy and slice-of-life with Eunhyuk for you all. No idea where this inspo came from, but I’m happy with it :)

Finally, you had a day off. You had been so busy lately it felt like you hadn't had any time to yourself, so today you had big plans to do nothing.

Aside from getting up to get food, you spent the day in bed. When Eunhyuk got home and couldn't see you anywhere else, he figured that's where you would be.

"Have you moved at all today?" he chuckled after finding you where he left you that morning.

"Now that I'm here, do you need anything else?" he offered. "I could make you some proper food, or a drink?"

Two days. Two whole days have passed since you and your boyfriend had a horrible argument. With a sigh, remembering the events of that night, you entered the building where you shared your apartment. It was almost 8 pm and you had a tough day at work, and Hyukjae wasn't leaving your mind any soon.

You could say you ended up mad at each other, didn't talk and also were avoiding each other in the same place. It was exhausting, but you had too much pride to apologize or talk about it first. Inside of the elevator, your mind wandered on him and why he was such an asshole. Sometimes you wanted him to apologize first, because your brain wouldn't let you do that, at least not tonight.

Finally, you arrived at your floor and you made it inside your apartment. After taking off your shoes and leaving your bag nearby along with your coat, you found him sitting on the couch, eating dinner and watching TV. You thought he left work early. Hyukjae didn’t say a word when you walked to the kitchen to grab a glass of water, but his eyes never left your figure.

He ate the last bite of his sushi and finished his drink, as you left to change your clothes for the day in complete silence. Later that night you found yourself working in the living room. You were stressed out, and the situation was not going to make it better for you. Now you had problems at work and in your own home.

He leaned forward. “I want to know what you’ve been up to because it looks like I don’t have a girlfriend anymore!”

So I feel so stupid when I stood outside your door today, right after I finished my service to see you who I long for for all these years, only to find you holding a one year old girl that has your eyes.

All of me was trying to hold on to prayers to all existing God in this universe that that baby was not yours. I was about to ask when a familiar person appeared beside you.

“Oh, Hyukjae! You look great, you must be so tired! Come in, come in. Honey, please fix us lunch, okay. What do you want?”

“A-anything’s fine.” I forced a smile as I walked past you and followed the older man to the dining room of their apartment.

That guy welcomed me so warmly because he had no idea of what happened between us after he fucking left you, did he? I stole a glance to you who was cooking soup while holding the baby in your arms.

I wish I could stare at you like this forever, I wish you could be mine before you even got together with this asshole in front of me.

“Yeobo, we are ran out of beer, aren’t we? Hyukjae you make yourself at home, okay, I’ll go out and buy us some beers.” He went out in a gist and left a deadly silent in the room.

“Where were you?” I finally found a bravery to spoke up, “so you got back together with Leeteuk Hyung?” but I still got no answer and it made me mad.

“Seriously? How fucked up are you to get back together with a guy who fucking left you?” I was so angry that I could feel my face get warmer, “so you can’t even answer? Seriously, you assholes belong to each other.” I could not stand to be in that room anymore. It suffocated me, so I ran out. I bumped into Leeteuk Hyung on the way to the ground floor and I made up excuse about my sister needed me for a family welcome party that she had arranged.

I ended up trying to calm myself down in a bus station near the apartment complex. I did everything to hold back my tears. It fucking hurt and I’ve been having injury from practices and military service but this hurt fucking more.

You were fairly surprised when you heard a delicate knock come from the front door, what surprised you wasn’t necessarily that actual knock but what was waiting on the other side of the door. It signalled that somebody had come to see you whilst it was raining, no, pouring and heavily at that. With your eyebrows furred from confusion, you lifted yourself from your comfortable position on the lounge, draped in your cosy blanket, drinking hot chocolate and reading the latest book that caught your eye, only to walk over to the door and gasp in shock from the scene before your eyes.

There Hyukjae stood, in front of you, in the pouring rain, wearing his favourite black suit and also holding one of the most beautiful bouquets you have ever seen in your life. With the water droplets that fall against his face, he is just as handsome, if not, even more then then when you saw him only a week ago. Even if he did look like a drowned rat with his black locks flattened against his forehead. Even so, just seeing him in front of you made your heart skip a beat.

“Hyukjae?” you asked out of confusion.

“(Y/N), they say sometimes it’s best to speak in the language of flowers when you can’t convey your feelings.” Hyukjae pushed the bouquet of flowers forward, for you to take with your own hands. “So, I got these for you.”

“Do you know what each of these flowers mean?” he asks when you take hold of the bouquet, looking down and examining the flowers as you shake your head, signalling a no.

“Well, this is a Forget-Me-Not. It actually has two meanings, the first meaning ‘memories’ and the second, meaning ‘true love’.” you nod along to the words coming out of his mouth.

“This pink flower is a Gloxinia which means ‘love at first sight’” he points to one of the flower as a light blush coats his cheeks. “The White Primrose means ‘I can’t live without you.’”

“The last flower is a Daffodil, which means ‘you’re the only one.’” with the final word that leaves his mouth, you look up at him in shock at the unsaid confession as a crimson tinge lights up your cheeks.

“Hyukjae, what?” you stand there shocked for a second before you take hold of his left hand, trying your best to pull him over the threshold so he would no longer be standing in the rain.

Since your strength was significantly weaker than his own, rather, he pulled you towards him, instantly feeling droplets of water coming into contact with your face as the bouquet in your hands comes crashing to the ground, knowing full well that in a matter of seconds you’ll be soaking wet.

You were about to scold him but just before you could he pulled you forwards and into his chest, moving his left hand to rest against the small of your back, before folding his right hand around your own left one. As if on instinct, your right hand lifted to rest against his shoulder blade as he slowly moves the two of you into a musicless waltz. After a while of nothing but silence, you eventually started to hear the faint sound of Johann Strauss II’s composition of An der schönen, blauen Donau. As to where the music was coming from, that was still unknown to you.  

Sure, as much as you still a little confused to why he came in the pouring rain, or how uncertain you where over whether or not that was a confession of his love? How you could be overthinking everything? Still, you had this sudden feeling of wishing to hear the sound of his voice. Sadly, every time you open your mouth to speak, Hyukjae would suddenly spin you around or tip you into a dip, as he lets out a light-hearted chuckle that is music to your ears, which would lead to the giggle bubbling at you lips, to escape. As the two of you continue to waltz around your driveway, not one sound passes through your lips other than a soft laugh.

Hyukjae looked genuinely calm and at peace with himself, not even one ounce of stress evident on his face and something inside you just couldn’t take this moment or break the peace in any way. You knew the smile that lit your face was becoming more and more prominent by the second as the rain that slides down your cheeks becomes a comfortable cold.

With one last spin and final dip signifying a conclusion to your dance but instead of lifting you fully upright, he lent down and met you halfway, connecting your lips in a slow and soft kiss.

“(Y/N),” he pauses after lifting you to stand on your feet.

“Hmm,” reply with a tinge of red hinting your cheeks as you look into his eyes. With the direct eye contact, Hyukjae looks down at the floor and behind you but he wouldn’t directly meet your eyes as he rubs the back of his neck.

“I’ve been in love with you my entire life,” He says with a shy smile and a distinct blush that is now on his cheeks.

Late naps plus coffee was a horrible idea. An absolutely stupid, sadistic idea. Yet you had done it yourself. You hadn’t been sleeping well so you had to chug more than your normal dose of coffee to get through the day and in your desperation for rest, you screwed up your sleep cycle.

So here you are, up way past your bedtime, watching mindless TV in the hope it will lull you to sleep. So far, no luck.

You don’t bother lifting your head when you hear the door click open. Hyukjae doesn’t try to be quiet, knowing a nuclear bomb exploding in the next room couldn’t wake you up, but you hear him still. Low as the volume is, he can probably still hear the TV on.

He pokes his head around the corner and jumps when he sees you on the couch. “God, for a second there I thought someone broke in, made themselves at home and I was about to be murdered.” Hyukjae flops himself down beside you, automatically tucking you into his side.“What’re you doing up?”

Your and Hyukjae’s relationship is past the point where you feel obligated to stay up for him. He understands and it doesn’t bother him. He knows how lovely sleep is. “I took a 3 hour nap this afternoon and had a ton of coffee and now I can’t fall asleep,” you pout. You nuzzle his chest and huff in frustration. “I’m mentally exhausted but my body is just like ‘Nope. No sleep for you.’”

“Have you tried your melatonin?”

“Yes. And drinking a warm glass of milk. And watching a documentary on how paint’s made. And counting sheep. Not even a hint of drowsiness.”

He hums, scratching your head in sympathy. After a slight pause, he says, “If you can’t sleep…we could have sex?”

You tilt your head to look at him. Squinting playfully, you ask, “You’d do that for little old me? How selfless of you.”

Hyukjae flashes a wide gummy smile and winks. “You know me. Always ready to serve.” He lowers his head to nuzzle your ear and whisper lowly, “And you always pass out immediately after I fuck you so good.”

“That I do. You do too, if I remember correctly,” you tease with a chuckle. “So what’re you waiting for?”

Super Junior: Honeymoon

he wants to do everything and anything with you.

Both of you would head to Hawaii. Because you both want to be by the beach.

As soon as you two arrived, he doesn’t give you time to rest.

“Okay, I signed us up for a surfing class, a traditional cooking class and a dinner by the beach downtown”

You just nod and headed to sit on the edge of bed, not before he dragged you and say the surfing class is in half an hour.

You don’t even argue.

Down time, finally. 

The both of you sat by the beach and enjoyed your dinner. 

Chill music, cool ocean breeze, flavourful wine. 

Both of you didn’t talk much, just taking in the surrounding and the reality that is slowly setting in. 

It was nice, but you were slowly getting sleepy. Jet lag and drained.

“You can’t be tired, I have a surprise when we head back”, he says before winking suggestively at you.

Heechul would suggest going to Japan for honeymoon.

It’s a yes most of the times. So far, you two have been on a temple tour, visited the Universal Studios, walked down the famous park and endless eateries. 

when you asked him if he wanted to go anywhere, he just said wherever you want to go is where he wants to go.

Yesung would bring you to the famous museums in the city and also, lots of chill relaxing dates at the many cafes the city has to offer.

in which, the two of you never stopped holding hands. 

the two of you would talk about anything and everything.

since the both of you enjoy Chinese food, it would make sense to go China.

he feels apologetic that the honeymoon was only a week because of his schedules.

so he makes up for a short weekend trip to the neighbouring city.

So, it will be a trip to maybe Morocco.

He likes the thrill of exploring somewhere new, getting lost, panicking and making fond memories.

When you both first ordered a local cuisine, you both are in a shock. 

it was really foreign, but, you both are in a for a ride!

The trip would be exploring the city, it’s uniqueness and the beautiful culture the country has to offer.

He also loves the fact that he can walk anywhere with you without being swarmed endlessly.

also, Hyukjae being a sucker for the many museums Morocco has. 

“Can we go for one more? Please, I’ll treat you well later!”

sentimental Donghae would prepare a two part special for the honeymoon.

first part of the trip would be a short trip to his hometown. 

he wants to bring you to his childhood home, his old elementary school, the place he used to hang out at.

the most memorable part of it would be visiting his dad’s grave. 

it was a different type of feeling and you were thankful for him for bringing you there.

second part of the trip would be a trip to New York.

very very touristy honeymoon as if both of you have never visited NYC.

trip to the Time Square, walk down Central Park, In n Out almost every single day.

Donghae would be game and would randomly sign the two of you up for a random couple’s pottery class.

a unique experience, he would say

A private resort with the ocean flowing beneath!

very chill and relaxed honeymoon after the stressful wedding preparations.

he would book you a whole day of spa and wellness. just to pamper you and him. 

for the fun of it, you would sign both of you for water activities!

most of the days would be spent relaxing by the beach, sipping iced teas as the two of you took a breather.

visit to the amusement park, the wildlife centre, brunch almost everyday.

he gets recognised a little and he greets them and introduce you proudly as his wife. 

when the two of you finally head back for the day, he lets out a sigh of relief, snuggling into the pillow.

A ⇴ AFFECTION

One thing that Hyukjae is big on is affection with you, whenever you’re within reaching distance, he’ll be right by your side with his arms either around your waist or his hand holding onto yours, closing the distance tightly.

The boys got on with you from the get-go, after seeing the spring that Hyukjae had in his step since the start of your relationship, they were excited to meet you. You couldn’t wait to meet them either, with Hyukjae telling you an endless number of stories so it felt like you knew them before you even got to say hello.

He knows that he’s not the best when it comes to advice, so when you need comforting, Hyukjae specialises in holding you. He’s very gentle with you, running his hand along your back a lot of the time too to try and relax you, using his other hand to wipe underneath your eyes so that he can get rid of your tears.

You can’t help but feel sorry for Hyukjae a lot of the time when it comes to being domesticated, as much as he tries his best to do the right thing and impress you, very rarely does he manage it. He much prefers to be your helper, following your instructions like he used to do with his mum so that he didn’t end up messing things up. It was chaos with him when he wanted to be domestic, with you having to be on your toes.

When it came to asking you to marry him, Hyukjae definitely felt the pressure, wanting to make sure nothing went wrong.
