he definitely would underestimate your love for movies at first before seeing your account and then he would gain sm respect for you and crush so hard realizing you're just like him. and he would regularly take you on movie theater dates (and would surprise you by taking you to early screenings with q&a's) and you would discuss them afterwards and watch video essays about them online and rate how good they were (completely subjective rating like you two ego's are through the roof and only fed more by your similar tastes, however yours was a bit different than his), he would refuse to watch anything he thought was "cheesy" or "dumb" like maybe some adam sandler films but with you around he ends up being like a dad: walking into the room while it's on and he gets invested in a scene and just stands there in the middle of the room watching it before sitting down next to you (his arms are crossed; he's not giving in that easy) then eventually laying down, head in your lap. after the movie's over he would be like "that wasn't that bad" but would never EVER put it as watched on his letterboxd. they don't count to him.

but you know he's watching them when you're not around because you'll make references to them and he'll laugh too hard for a person who hasn't watched the movie and doesn't know what the hell you're talking about.

a song you released becomes the biggest hit in all of new eridu, everyone and their grandma knows of your name. not before long, you're invited to interviews, shootings, magazines, etc. as a guest and one thing led to another, you announced a nationwide tour!

after lots of planning, practicing and perfecting, you decided to start of the first leg of the tour in the outer ring then work your way to the city. initially, you didn't really think there'd be many fans outside of the city but your team decided that it'd be good to get your name out there.

unexpectedly, the tickets sold out FAST. it was your first tour, you and your management didn't want to overestimate your fame. but with this, everyone was begging for more tickets. it was a little hectic but nothing like a little damage control on your social media couldn't help with.

the girls from the sons of calydon were WAITING for those tickets to drop. the moment they found out about your tour, they made sure that they were extra free that day. lucky enough, they got front row tickets for all of them. lighter included because they move as a unit and he wouldn't admit it but they know that he has memorized your songs by heart.

the day of your show finally comes and everyone is buzzing with excitement as they made their way to the venue. the merch lineup was relatively limited but they bought at least one of everything; t-shirts, sweaters, keychains, stickers, posters and two cheering sticks. they decided to let lighter hold the cheering sticks as he was the tallest out of all of them, making him the easiest to be noticed by you.

they screamed their lungs out that night, singing along to every song unapologetically. at some point though, lighter was just waving the sticks around as he watched you, mesmerized by your voice and your looks. he has seen the magazines that lucy asks him to buy, the ones with you on the cover. he has seen those interviews and how everyone would compliment you. however seeing you live, hearing you live, he was starstruck.

you thanked everyone for showing up, it was the perfect way to start your first ever tour. he knew that this was all just you being a popstar but even the way you talked, you seemed so sincere. the girls had to shake him out of this trance-like state that he was in, telling him that it was time to go home. if he wasn't a fan before, he was definitely a loyal fan now.

as they drove back home, the only thing in his mind was your singing, your stage presence. there were times where it seemed like you looked in his direction. did you even notice him in that sea of people? maybe he needs more merchandise. if you ever had a tour again, he'd definitely try to get front row tickets just to see you. just to hear you again.

I also think it's nice that they made Camilla a sci-fi nerd and Luz a fantasy nerd. They're genres that are often seen as completely opposing one another by many people, which is what we're led to believe about Luz and Camilla in season 1. Luz is silly, nerdy, frequently in over her head and irresponsible and loves the boiling isles. We're led to believe that Camilla is the normal, conventional TV mother who'd be disgusted and terrified by the demon realm if she saw it.

Then yesterday's lie gives us a lot of nuance to this, and we realize that while they're still very different and now on opposite sides of a conflict, both mother and daughter are incredibly kind people (seen in their treatment of Vee) who love each other but struggle to make the right choices without hurting one another.

Then thanks to them drops all this Camilla characterization and we realize! She was a nerd too this whole time! The wedge between Camilla and Luz is motivated by past traumas and grief! and for the future has them switching sides on the central conflict of where Luz should stay (Camilla now wanting Luz in the demon realm because it's what's best for her, and Luz believing that staying in the human realm is what's best for the people she loves). They finally talk and realize that, like Willow pointed out earlier in the ep, the two are so alike. Camilla reveals that she's a secret nerd too! That she had a hard time growing up and accidentally hurt Luz trying to save her from the same fait! It's so important to me that Camilla keeps calling Luz a good witch. It's affirming her interests and goals, reminding her that she's just as good as the hero of her favorite story. And Luz finally only realizes that she wants to be understood...when she's finally able to understand her mom. When she realizes that the woman she loves and admires is just as much of a nerdy screw-up as her and that there's hope for her. Her palismen ends being multiple animals at once, showing both how Luz making unconventional choices (like carving an egg) keeps paying off for her and how her potential is limitless now that she finally knows and accepts her own goals, but to me it also reminds of the fact that Camilla is a vet and passed a love of all the weird and unliked animals (like wolves, possums, snakes, etc) to her.

It's just so so sweet and it really shows how much love and thought the crew put into this mother daughter storyline (FTF haters are not welcome on this page, respectfully). I can't wait to see how both of these misunderstood but healing women (who radiate "little/big sister" and "mom" energy respectively) are gonna interact with a) the lonely, easily manipulated and well intentioned but ignorant collector (a mix of both their interests as a magic being with a space motif! I just realized that lol) and b) the nasty puritan white man who's really obsessed with conforming to society's norms even when it literally doesn't benefit him at all.

Anyway, I believe in noceda( AND clawthorne 👀) family supremacy 💙
