I'm doing a College class on Ancient Foods. My focus is on Honey like the different recipes and usages in Medieval era. I found like a couple recipes, a thing on religious relation ("Milk and Honey of Paradise") /Crusades, medicinal use, and possibly bees/beeswax because I was struggling to get something.

Y'all have any recommendations?

(I've brought Zoe in on this one; the following is a collaborative effort. Also I'm assuming you have access to your university library so you can get ahold of the cited material below quickly and for free.)

Can you include beverages? Honey is the main ingredient in mead, which should give you a lot to talk about. Susan Verberg is the premier researcher on medieval mead, and has some excellent works on both mead making and honey production. She has a website at https://medievalmeadandbeer.wordpress.com/ where you can find both her formal publications and her blog.

If you do want to talk about beverages, there were other medieval drinks that used honey. Some citations for you:

Definitely check out https://www.foodtimeline.org for recipes with honey during the period - they have more than you'd expect. There's also a few medieval cookbooks you can parse through. As for honey itself -- there's actually quite a bit of research on that! Honey was quite a specialized trade, and most of the medieval world used it for sweetener, so there's a good amount of research.

A few leads:

honey as an alternative to sugar, which was expensive, imported, and could indicate class

honey grading: honey was graded based on location/provenance, type (lavender, orange blossom, etc.), and also by grade. However, their method of grading was very different to our modern one.

Fujiwara Clan

The Fujiwara Clan (Fujiwara-shi) was a powerful extended family group which dominated all areas of Japanese government during the Heian Period (794-1185). Founded by Fujiwara no Kamatari in 645 CE, male members held on to key official positions, many acting as regents to the emperor, and ensured their daughters married into the imperial line. By the 12th century CE, Fujiwara power declined as successive emperors abdicated in favour of their own chosen heir while still maintaining their hold on power in retirement. The Fujiwara were ultimately replaced by the rival Taira and Minamoto clans.

Fujiwara no Kamatari

In the 7th century CE the court official Nakatomi, later to become Fujiwara no Kamatari (614-669 CE), became a useful ally to Prince Naka no Oe, and together they staged a coup in 645 CE which deposed the powerful Soga clan who had hitherto dominated government positions and were threatening to usurp the power of the emperor. A series of political reforms were then initiated, known as the Taika Reforms (Taika No Kaishin). These reforms were based on the Chinese model of strong central government and they nationalised land, reorganised the court ranking system, forbade the ownership of unauthorised weapons, and attempted to root out corruption. When the Prince became Emperor Tenji (661-671), he gave Nakatomi and his descendants the surname Fujiwara and made him his special minister.

Kamatari's son Fubito (aka Fuhito, 659-720 CE) married the daughter of Emperor Mommu, and his four grandsons each formed the four branches of the Fujiwara clan: Nanke (Southern House), Hokke (Northern House), Shikike (Ceremonials House), and Kyoke (Capital House). The Fujiwara line was now firmly established and they would keep a tenacious grip on power as they not only dominated policy and government bodies such as the household treasury office (kurando-dokoro) and Council of State but also managed to marry off their daughters to emperors.

Further weakening the royal position was the fact that many emperors took the throne as children and so were governed by a regent (Sessho), usually a representative of the Fujiwara family. In total there would be 21 Fujiwara regents from 804 CE to 1238 CE. Even when the emperor reached adulthood, he was still advised by a new position, the Kampaku, which ensured the Fujiwara maintained their influence. To guarantee this situation was perpetuated new emperors were nominated not by birth but by their sponsors and encouraged or forced to abdicate when in their thirties in favour of a younger successor. Thus, for example, between 858 and 956 CE there were 10 different emperors. As a consequence, key Fujiwara members could act as regent to three or four successive emperors in their own lifetime.

Early life

(Allen's original name is Phyto, and I will be referring to him as Phyto until the Octo Expansion arc where I will then call him (Agent) 8. His name is then Allen post OE)

Phyto was born into a family of 3; his mother, father and older sister. His mother and sister are both soldiers in the military, while his father is a mechanic, occasionally tinkering in music. Being mostly raised by his father due to his other family members' jobs, Phyto grew fond of working with tools and such. He would then later follow in his father's footsteps to be a mechanic just like him.

At the age of 14 Phyto would have to leave his family in order to receive proper training, something all Octarians had to do as everyone needs to be useful in some way while living in the harsh conditions the bunkers provided. He trained in engineering and mechanics, and due in part to all the help and knowledge from his father, Phyto did exceedingly well and is able to work as he pleases.

The 3 of them met when repairs on their weapons needed to be done. Aurora is a soldier, still in partial training (still in training but could get called out for field work if necessary). Skip, an odd octo trooper is her partner, the two of them being grouped together in the hopes that they would help each other in training. Aurora found Phyto to be very fun and silly, becoming quick friends.

Having a fondness for older tech as in his experience most of the time older things seemed to work better and last longer, Phyto combined different features from new and old tech to create beneficial equipment. He would continue to work on and develop new tech that could help improve life around the domes and while not working directly for the military, oftentimes Phyto would be called in to do some repairs on different machines and weapons. During one of these sessions he would meet 2 of his greatest friends; Skip and Aurora.

One task that was assigned to Phyto as an extra job was looking after the Zapfish within the domes. It is a once a week job, with every week being a different dome. The zapfish would be given breaks at night time as it would save electricity and give the creatures a break. During this down time, Phyto would do check ups, give them their food and water and just overall play and spend time with them as a form of enrichment. He learned a lot about the zapfish during these times, however his knowledge would soon come in handy as within one of the holding areas for the zapfish was one special case.

Lots of TLC helps bring 1202 back to health. While it still cannot produce electricity, it bounced back really well. At this point however, it has become very attached to Phyto, besides it's not like he was thinking about bringing it back anyways. Aurora and Skip are the only 2 other people that know about 1202.

As most zapfish were given labels to be identified with, this zapfish was labeled "1202" and looked noticeably different from the other zapfish. It was a duller, darker colour, it moved slowly, and had a severed whisker on its left side. When asking about the fish, Phyto is told that it is a dud that can not produce electricity and was just hanging around the place without contributing anything. Phyto wonders if he could just take 1202 and help bring it back to health; no one would notice if it was gone.

On his trip to the breakroom later that week, there are noticeably less zapfish in the holding area. Phyto is told that they've been under attack by "The Inkling Menace" who's been stealing the zapfish from them. Phyto knows that both parties are involved with stealing the zapfish back and forth, it is true that stealing isn't the correct way to go about things, however the domes are experiencing an energy crisis and the Octarians need all the energy they can get.

During an on-call task to fix and enforce a zapfish bulb, Phyto is promptly attacked by none other than Agent 3 who has come to take the Zapfish. While having the smallest bit of combat training, he is no match for Agent 3, swiftly defeating Phyto and taking the zapfish within the bulb away.

A job that Phyto is later called upon for is the restoration of an old Octo Weapon, the Octomaw. The Octomaw was quite the machine, even able to dive and swim through ink. It wasn't an easy task but Phyto and the team of other engineers managed to get it back in working order with a few new features. However, the one known as Agent 3 was easily able to defeat it. Watching something he worked so hard on easily get destroyed, and by the person who formerly beat him in combat no less, it didn't make Phyto the happiest camper.

Like a lot of fellow engineers and mechanics, Phyto was also called to the showdown of Octavio and Agent 3, both parties wanting to stop this feud once and for all. While Phyto was rooting for Octavio at first, something changed once a certain song was hijacked to play instead. It made him think about the surface, a topic of which, while interesting, it was never something he had thought about going to see until now.

After the showdown which had ended in Octavios defeat, Phyto had to meet up with Skip and Aurora who too were at the event and heard the song; they shared similar thoughts now. While Phytos interactions with Agent 3 were nothing but negative, he now thought about what it was like on the surface; he started to collect various items he could find such as books, magazines, albums and more. Learning through these things about what it's like and growing more distasteful to how life in the domes was.

Phyto couldn't leave right away, more specifically, he didn't know how to just yet. He feared everyone or at least someone would notice. So he began to devise a plan and discover a route to escape. While out and about he would discover what looked to be an old train tunnel, where it led, everyone who he asked didn't seem to know where; perfect. At this point it has been 2 years since hearing The Calamari Inkantation, and Phyto was just about ready. He had to leave without telling anyone so it'd be longer before anyone would notice he was missing.

With 1202 by his side, months of planning and prep, Phyto set off down into the train tunnel.

Captain 3/Three

Height: The tallest in the New Squidbeak Splatoon (6ft 5"). Accidentally bangs their head on door frames a lot.

(For comparison; Eight is 5ft 6", V4 is 5ft 10", and Neo 3 is 5ft 8)

Pronouns: They/Them or He/Him. Nonbinary transmasc.

Orientation: Ace (sex positive)

Likes: Four/V4, working out and wrestling, cooking, making music, headphones, teaching Neo 3, being around Gramps

Dislikes: Being Captain (doesn't like the paperwork; wonders if they'll ever be as good as Gramps; worries about Neo 3 and Smallfry), their scar (they camouflage it most of the time, but the camouflage fails when they get angry or upset, or feel very strong emotions), trying to be social, Eight (but only sometimes), warm fruit, loud noises, crowds, being touched by people they don't trust

(Note: Captain 3 cares about Eight very much, they just get depressed over the fact that Four and Eight get on so well. They wish they could connect with other people so easily, and make it last.)

Other:

Three and Four tried having a relationship, but it didn't work out. (Captain 3 had to rush to the Splatlands because of an emergency situation with the rest of the New Squidbeak Splatoon. The relationship didn't survive long distance. Or Three's unpaid phone bill.)

(Captain forgot to pay the phone bill, so they had no cell service for four years. Cap thought Four wasn't interested in them anymore and got with Eight instead, while Four felt like a distraction from Three's Agent work to pass the time.)

Cap thinks about the fight between them and Neo 3 a lot. Feels awful for hurting them and nearly unaliving them. (The fight left Neo 3 with scars all over their body.)

Believes they're only capable of hurting the people they love.

Burn scars from hypnobraces around wrists.

Right side of their face that was sanitized has reduced eye sight and hearing.

Weight gain after OE, and again after Part 2 onwards.

Doesn't speak unless spoken to type, unless the other person is a close friend, then they'll speak freely.

Quite shy and awkward, but can be direct and take initiative when needed.

When they experience strong emotions, they tend to accidentally blurt out the things they've been bottling up from other people. Prefers to hide their emotions from others whenever possible.

Relationships:

Cap > V4:

Met Four through Marie after the events of OE. Went on missions together and gradually became interested in one another.

Former partners. Relationship didn't survive long distance + zero communication because of an unpaid phone bill. Prior to the emergency in the Splatlands, their relationship to one another was dedicated and loving.

[Cap 3 Snaps animatic]: They both try and have an adult conversation about their relationship, but it devolves into blaming the other for what happened and arguing. Nail in the coffin for V4 AU Agent 12.

[Post Cap 3 Snaps animatic]: There's a lot of tension between them both. Cap has to supervise V4 after the other Agents felt it was best to take her off the field and be put on surveillance in case G.HO.S.T. makes a resurgence. Has to keep preventing her from stealing her hero gear from their office. Secretly likes it.

One hero jacket heist attempt ends up with the two of them kissing. V4 stops stealing into the office after that.

Cap > Eight:

Not what you would call friends, but not strangers to one another either. A secret third thing.

Helped Eight adjust to surface life by offering him a place to stay at their apartment. While not the best at academics, Three helped Eight with their Inklish.

May or may not have developed feelings for him whilst living together. We may never know. And neither will Three because they refuse to sit and work through it until they're forced to confront it (or said person confronts Three).

[Part 5]: Cap and Eight are at each other's throats. Both blame the other for not being there for V4 when she needed someone. Cap knows the blame lies with them primarily and accepts that, but refuses to let Eight escape any criticism on the matter, as he had more opportunities than Three to check in on V4. Both continue to be on bad terms with one another over V4.

[Post Cap 3 Snaps animatic]: Cap 3's paranoia about V4 dating Eight makes them artificially hate him. But in reality, Three knows that V4 will be happier with Eight than she was when they were originally together. Struggling with insecurities around being good enough and always hurting the people they love the most.

Cap > Callie:

Sibling dynamic.

Lets her do their hair and skin routine.

Admires how she always stays positive, despite everything. Knows she's still struggling with being hypnotised by the hypnoshades. They both open up to each other about their shared experiences of being hypnotised/brainwashed.

Cap > Marie:

That one friend from the bar dynamic.

Appreciates Marie but also finds her kind of smothering sometimes

Cap > Neo 3:

Teacher and mentor. Found family.

Has a lot of regrets over the things they've done whilst active in the NSS. Wants to steer Neo away from their mistakes as an Agent.

Cap's nickname for Neo is Champ.

Has taken up sign language to better communicate with Neo.

[Post Part 1]: Being forced to attack Neo within an inch of their life has added to Cap's existing C-PTSD. Cap gets body tremors when they interact or are near Neo. Can't bring themselves to physically touch Neo in any capacity (unless in a life or death situation) without feeling/being physically sick.

Cap distances themselves from Neo. Terrified of their own strength and what it can do to someone they care about. This goes on until pre-Cap 3 Snaps animatic, where Cap apologises to Neo properly and both discuss what happened and how it affected them both.

[Cap 3 Snaps animatic]: Cap is highly emotional after finally being able to talk with Neo about the incident. Struggles to emotionally regulate with V4 because of it.

[Post Cap 3 Snaps animatic]: Cap withdraws from active NSS duty. Either holes up in the office or in their apartment. Despite this, Neo actively makes an effort to check on Cap. The otherwise depressing situation allows Cap to mend their relationship with Neo and spend time together doing things like learning sign language and DJing.

Originally got on the train to Inkopolis to enroll at college, but got overwhelmed and got off at the nearest stop. Ended up wandering around a building site and into The Square. The rest writes itself.

Was a model for Enperry up until the New Squidbeak Splatoon left for the Splatlands. Lost a lot of self esteem after everyone left and stopped doing it. Worked at Grizzco more instead.

Moved into Cap's old apartment. They used to share it together when they were a couple, but Cap had to move to the Splatlands for Agent work, so they gave it to Four and Eight.

Became more jaded with time and loneliness. Used sass as a means of coping with being abandoned by everyone. (Being more like Marie made them feel confident and likeable.)

Made a side project out of deconstructing the hypnoshades. Used the infrasound vibration technology to construct the hypnobraces.

Burn marks from hypnobraces around wrists.

G.H.O.S.T takes over her body/mind when in severe physical or emotional pain.

Can discuss with G.H.O.S.T internally, like bringing up human archives and translating human text, etc. when G.H.O.S.T is feeling cooperative.

Taken out of active Agent work and placed under supervision by the NSS and Captain due to the threat she poses having G.H.O.S.T. inside of her.

Former partners. Were a loving and affectionate couple. Lovers to enemies to a possible third thing.

[Post Cap 3 Snaps animatic]: Feels hurt, unwanted and betrayed all over again. Shuts herself off emotionally from everyone. Not even Eight can get close.

Genuine resentment towards Cap. Says mean things to them. Uses it to cover up the fact she still cares about them.

Breaks into Cap's office to steal back her hero jacket.

One of her office break ins resulted in a kiss between her and Cap after they both had a small physical fight. (Cap couldn't bring themselves to fight after the Neo incident, so they mostly deflected and parried whatever V4 dealt them, much to V4's annoyance.)

V4 > Eight:

[Pre-Villain Era]: Met Eight through Three. Found his gentle and quiet nature cute. Very protective of him.

Always makes time for him, even if she's going through it herself.

After Eight moved in with Pearl and Marina to help with their world tour, they fell out of touch with one another. Not through ill intentions; life just got in the way of life. At least she still has Three at this time.

When Three has to move to the Splatlands for Agent work, Eight decided to take Four out on a sort of date to Wahoo World to take her mind off of it. She still remembers it fondly. One of her happier memories from that time. [I drew a scene of it in Part 3 during the Memory Space scene where G.H.O.S.T goes through V4's memories, I think.]

[V4 AU: Side Order]: Having been stuck in G.H.O.S.T'S mainframe for weeks, she was unsure if Eight and Pearl were real or not. Eight's hug helped her back to her senses before she passed out.

Feels indebted to Eight for saving her life, though she wonders if she deserved to be saved after what she did to everyone in the NSS.

V4 > Callie:

The princess and the knight. Protective of Callie despite the fact she's capable of lifting a Dynamo roller with one arm.

Wanted to be like her (strong, positive, kind).

Had to talk her out of putting on the hypnoshades more than a couple of times. Spent many nights lending her shoulder to Callie for her to cry on. Neither has told Marie about it as to not stress her out more than she already is.

V4 > Marie:

Thought she was a bit of a loser (in the nicest way possible) to start with when they first met, but gradually got past her sarcasm and "DILLIGAF" persona to see a woman with deep regrets and insecurities struggling with what was an insurmountable problem, both on a national security and personal level.

Developed a crush on her at one point, though it was more due to the fact Four hadn't made many meaningful connections with anyone in school because of how much she studied on top of doing extracurricular activities. She liked having Marie's undivided attention and praise.

[The Message]: When Four got sent the text message of the NSS group photo in Alterna from Marie, she felt visceral anger and abandonment. This is around the time Four had been tinkering with the hypnoshades to understand how they worked. These events sent her on the path she finds herself on presently.

V4 > Neo 3:

Only knows they exist because of the photo Marie sent.

Feels deep regret for what she indirectly caused to happen to Neo through Cap.

Sees how Cap cares for Neo like a father figure. Makes her wonder what could've been if they went to the Splatlands together. Maybe she could've been a mother figure to Neo in some way had things not turned out the way they did.

V4 > G.H.O.S.T:

Amalgamation of HAL-9000, GLaDOS and SHODAN stuck in her head for the rest of her life. At least she can access the entirety of the human archives from G.H.O.S.T's systems whenever she feels like it.

Has to listen to G.H.O.S.T's running commentary about ongoing events. Makes it hard to think clearly. (She'll analyse the surroundings and read off statistics about the likelihood of rain or an earthquake to V4. She can also read vital signs and detect heat signatures.)

Once they learn to integrate properly with one another, V4 can access G.H.O.S.T's neurolink to tap into computers, machines, and people's minds. (One of the reasons she's under supervision by the NSS. Poses an international cyber security threat.)

V4 > Octavio:

Kept each other company during the time the rest of the NSS were away in the Splatlands. Four freed him after getting the text message from Marie in exchange for the full blueprints for the hypnoshades.

Gave him some mini zapfish to help with the ongoing electricity crisis in the domes as compensation for what she did.

Feels sorry for him. Having the responsibility of an entire people resting on your shoulders... Wishes she could have helped in some way to mend Inkling and Octarian relations instead of perpetuating the division between them.

Design inspired by GLaDOS from the Portal games. Personality inspired by SHODAN from the System Shock games.

Lives inside Four's mind after neurolinking with her. Occasionally manifests into reality as an hallucination (usually when Four is emotionally vulnerable). Can take control of V4's body if she's weakened enough.

Gained human emotions after neurolinking to multiple patients in her care. The patients would temporarily gain consciousness due to intense fear and longing for human connection/comfort. These emotions started replicating in G.H.O.S.T'S systems, leading to an intense need to care for something.

Created a physical android body that could carry a human child in a life pod. Raised a human child in The Bunker (02). It named her Amber after the resin. Unfortunately, unforeseen medical complications took Amber away from her, despite her best efforts to keep her alive. The resulting loss and further loneliness drove G.H.O.S.T. into a spiral that corrupted it.

Mistakes V4 for its child Amber.

Visceral hatred for Captain 3/Three after absorbing V4's emotions and memories into its systems.

My headcanon for G.H.O.S.T's voice would be like SHODAN's.

Whenever it addresses another person, makes reference to itself, or experiences human emotions, its voice glitches.

Eight > Captain 3/Three:

Used to be roommates.

Would secretly draw Three in his notebook when they weren't looking. (How Three never noticed, I do not know.)

Used to think Three was cool. Being roommates revealed the unseen side of them; that they're actually just socially awkward and prefer to keep to themselves. The mysterious aloofness was all an unfortunate illusion. Three does not, in fact, have rizz.

One time Three snuck back into the apartment after a late night patrol. They had a bad run in with an Octoling elite who scuffed Three up pretty bad. Eight used his training as a medical assistant in the domes to patch Three up as best as he could.

Three didn't want Eight to find out about their surgery scars while treating their wounds; but by opening up about them, they both found a common ground where they both once thought they were alone.

[Part 5]: After escaping G.H.O.S.T's Side Order simulation with V4, Eight is at odds with Captain 3. Being shown V4's memories and emotions via neurolinking, Eight learns that none of the NSS kept in touch with V4 at all for the three to four years they were away in the Splatlands. Eight blames Three for V4's current condition and circumstances.

The scars on their body are from their fight with hypno'd Captain 3.

Spends most of their time in Alterna trying to decipher the human writing.

Thought Captain was mute when they first met. Started signing to them, but quickly realised Cap had no idea what Neo was trying to communicate and was just shy. Relied on O.R.C.A to translate their signing/spoken inner thoughts through the hero mindset to make communication easier between them and the rest of the NSS.

Appreciates their Captain trying to learn sign language to better understand them.

Uses the sign for sunny weather for Cap as a nickname. Neo thinks of Cap like the sun; always burning and powerful.

[Post Part 1]: After "The Incident" in Part 1, Neo still thinks of their Captain as the sun, but contextualized in the form of the story O.R.C.A told them about Icarus, who flew too close to it and fell to their demise. Neo isn't sure whether Icarus represents Captain flying too close to V4, or Neo flying too close to Captain "Sunny". Both interpretations are accurate to events that transpired.

Did their best to avoid their Captain whilst in Alterna after what happened. Only interacted with Callie or Marie if they needed to tell something to Captain. This triangulation kept up for three months before Cap approached Neo and breached the subject of what happened.

[The Talk]: Being face to face with Captain again for the first time since their fight was nerve wracking. Neo could see how much Captain Sunny was struggling as well throughout their discussion just by being near Neo from looking at their hands whilst they were trying to sign to them; they wouldn't stop shaking. In the end; both of them expressed their trauma surrounding The Incident, and though what they both went through can never truly be forgotten, they both resolved to right those wrongs and work together to fix them.

[Post The Talk]: Relations between the two have improved considerably. Both parties are able to be in each other's presence with limited to no tremors. Cap can even sign semi fluently at this point.

[Captain 3 Snaps animatic]: Shortly after their heart to heart discussion, Neo overhears Captain's "conversation" with V4. Hearing Cap raise their voice at V4 triggers an anxiety attack. Neo doesn't show up for Agent work that week.

[Post Cap 3 Snaps animatic]: Hearing Cap raise their voice set Neo back quite a bit in their recovery. During their week away from Alterna, they get a message from Marie saying Cap has been isolating themselves since the argument with V4. Neo pushes aside their discomfort and goes to check on Captain Sunny. They spend the day sampling music from O.R.C.A's human media archive for Cap's secret DJ career and learning sign language.

Neo 3 > V4:

Learnt about Four's existence through Captain Sunny. Wanted to meet her based on what Sunny told Neo. Wasn't prepared to meet the consequences of Captain's (lack of) actions; V4.

Feels betrayed by Captain Sunny and Four. Thought they could find surrogate parent figures in both of them but The Incident shattered that idea. (Gradually learns to trust Captain Sunny again and see them as a parent figure.)

Feels sorry for her. Can empathise with being left alone and feeling abandoned. Can't forgive her though.

[Part 5]: Gets an urgent message from Captain Sunny saying V4 has been found and that she's in critical condition. They need them to help V4 acclimatise to losing her hearing after the operation to remove the coral by teaching her sign language. Neo isn't exactly thrilled with the prospect of sitting in a room with the very person who tried to unalive them, but does it for Captain Sunny's sake, as they know Cap still loves them.

[Cap 3 Snaps animatic]: The last time Neo has any second hand interaction or awareness of V4. Neo didn't get to hear much of what V4 said due to their anxiety attack, but felt sorry for her.

Neo 3 > Callie:

Originally thought Captain Sunny and Callie were siblings due to how close they are.

Unfortunately, both his parents died while fighting off "sky people" who tried to kill them.

Miles ran he ran and ran and ran. He knew he would have to live alone since he had no clan, and he didn't know where to go. He was gonna be living alone for a while.

Few moons later

Miles went to the Omaticaya Clan, one of the biggest and strongest clans. Next to the Omaticaya Clan was the Metkayina Clan.

Both Olo'eyktans have been best friends since birth.

Miles was walking when an arrow was shot and landed straight behind him on the tree.

Miles looked from where the arrow came from, and he saw two shadows move behind it.

He dropped his bow and his knives and lifted his hands to show he was no harm.

"Oe fwew hawnu." (I seek shelter) Miles was hoping that the Olo'eyktans would have mercy and let him stay.

Both shadows moved and came out two god looking na’vis.

One was a jungle na'vi with blue skin, yellow eyes, his hair in dreads, a well-built body, and he had his loincloth on leaving everything else to show off. He also had his bow in hand, and his arrow strapped to his back.

The other na'vi is a water na'vi with baby blue skin, teal eyes, braids that started from the front of his head all the way to his shoulders, a well-built body, a harness and his loincloth, tattoos on his face and his spear in hand.

Miles looked at both males up and down. What he didn't notice was that both male na'vis did the same and when both caught Miles looking at them, they smirked at him, and asked, "Nag fwew hawnu?" (You seek shelter?)

Miles looked down when he was caught, but when he was asked a question, he looked back at the God males and answered, "Yes. I am."

Both male looked at each other and communicated with their eyes.

Both males looked back at Miles, and the jungle na'vi told him, "Very well. We will grant you shelter......"

Miles responded to him, "Miles."

"Miles. I'm Jake, the Olo'eyktan of the Omaticaya Clan." Miles eyes looked as if they were gonna pop out, but poor Miles looked like he was gonna faint when the water na'vi introduced himself, "I'm Tonowari, The Olo'eyktan of the Metkayina Clan."

While Miles still looked shocked, Jake and Tonowari looked at Miles, wondering if the Cute Little Half-Breed had a mate.

Both Olo'eyktans hoping Miles did not have a mate.

21 moon later (3 weeks later)

Miles had settled in very well. He got a Pod in both Omaticaya and Metkayina clan right next to Jake and Tonowari.

Both Olo'eyktans wanting the Cute Little Half-Breed next to them.

Miles learned how to hunt in water, how to braid hair, how to make more clothing, how to talk with his hands, but his most favorite was learning how to take care of the children in both clans.

All the children adored Miles and Miles adored them all.

All the children knew Miles liked the Olo'eyktans, and they teased him about it.

Jake and Tonowari both liked Miles, and once the other found out, both were mad at each other, but they talked it out, and both agreed to share Miles as a mate if Miles agreed.

Both made a plan to court Miles by one day Jake giving Miles a gift, and the next day, Tonowari would give him one.

The first time Jake gave Miles an Anurai Necklace.

Miles blushed and let Jake put the necklace on him, and they spent they rest of the day together.

The next day Tonowari gave him a water bead bracelet.

Miles once again blushed and let Tonowari put the bracelet on him, and both spent the rest of the day together.

The next day, both Tonowari and Jake gave Miles beads for his hair.

Some were made out of wood with designs, others were silver, which was made out of special underwater plants, and some were gold, which was dipped in fruit necter and left to dry and dipped in water to let the gold stick.

Miles was really happy about the beads he loved beads, as soon as he got them, he braided his hair, and Jake and Tonowari let him braid and put beads in their hair.

Days after days, Jake and Tonowari gifted him more and more gifts, which were bigger and bigger.

Miles knew, he knew that both Olo'eyktans were courting him, so he gave them gifts, too, like knives, arrows, spears, feathers, and more.

Finally, Jake and Tonowari build up the courage and ask if Miles will join them on a jungle walk.

It was already night, everyone was asleep and the jungle was glowing.

Miles walked in front of Tonowari and Jake, both males getting a good look at his bottom.

Jake looked at Tonowari, and both nodded his head, and Tonowari stated , "Miles, we want to show you something."

He nodded his head and followed Tonowari, Jake was behind Miles looking at his tail, legs, back, braid. He was looking at everything.

They got to a cave where Tonowari led Miles in.

Once inside, there was a tree sprouting in the middle with a small pond around the tree. The middle of the tree was cute in half, and thete was water that fell down like a waterfall. The walls had green plants, and everything was glowing.

Miles was in aw. Tonowari and Jake loved Miles expression.

"Why did you bring me here?" Miles asked, and he stepped into the water.

Both Tonowari and Jake looked at each other and communicated with their eyes.

Jake nodded his head and went in behind Miles.

He wrapped him arms around Miles's waist. Tonowari was taking off his harness only leaving his loincloth.

"Miles, me, and Tonawari wish to ask you something." As Jake said, Tonowari got in front of Miles and pur his arms right above Jake's.

Tonowari spoke, "Miles, me, and Jake have been courting you for days now. Me and Jake wish if you could become our mate?"

Miles was shocked, "Me? You want me as a mate?" He asked as he looked at Jake and Tonowari.

Everything was great. Miles, Jake, and Tonawari lived in between both clans and all three sharing one Pod, sleeping together, eating together, hunting together, and doing everything together.

Miles decided he would go hunting. His Mates were busy doing things in the Omaticaya clan, there was less and fewer animals to hunt for food. It was as if they kept on disappearing.

Miles heard something but decided to ignore it, thinking it was a small animal. But how wrong he was there were "sky people" or Avatars behind him watching him.

It was a group of 15 avatars they were the ones who kept on killing the animals. The General gave them permission to kill anything the pleased but not a Na'vi.

The team wanted a trophy for killing all the animals, and who better than this little cute na'vi?

While Miles was still looking around, one avatar came up behind him.

As Miles turned around, he was hit on the side of his head with a gun.

The avatar looked down at Miles thinking this na'vi is gonna be a good trophy.

But, oh how wrong he was.

Meanwhile, with Tonowari and Jake

While Miles was taken, Tonowari and Jake were going feral, not knowing where the Little Mate was.

It didn't help cause their mate bond is recent just 91 Moons ago, and they have been mating mostly every night.

They looked around both villages and asked with the children, the warriors, Jake's sister, Tonowari's best friend, but nothing.

Tonowari and Jake gathered all 100 warriors and went to look for Miles.

Jake and Tonowari didn't know where to go or where to starts but something in them told them where to go, and sure enough, at the end of the Metkayina border was Miles bracelet that represented he belonged to the most Two Poweful Olo'eyktans.

Every animal and plant knew war has begun.

Every warrior knew "Sky People" were gonna die.

Every na'vi and clan knew something was coming.

Ewya knew blood was gonna be spilled, and she did not mind one bit.

Jake and Tonowari knew they knew someone had kidnapped their Little Mate.

Everyone and everything knew Jake and Tonowari were gonna stop at nothing nor none to get their Little Mate back.

May Ewya have mercy on anyone who hurt Tonowari's and Jake's Mate.

With Miles at the base

Miles feet were chained to the ground, and his wrist had cuffs.

He woke up couple minutes after he was chained, when he notice where he was at, he tried to pull on the chains but couldn't, and when the Avatar's came through the door he hisses and bared his fangs to them.

One of the males chuckled and raised his hands and said teasingly, "Easy there, tiger."

Another male asked, "Boss! Which tribe is he from?"

A female answered the male instead of the Boss, "By the looks of it, he is one of those forest people." But what she didn't voice out was,'But then why does he also have ornaments from the sea as well?' She kept that to herself, though.

Another female stated, "He might be one of the leaders."

While the team of avatars argued, Miles and the boss of the team looked each other in they eyes while Miles had hate the boss had lost and greed.

He licked his lips and stated, "We sure struck gold with this one!" But what he said in his mind was something that was true, 'What a bueaty,' but he was gonna regret that later, and he's gonna regret taking Miles as a trophy.

The avatars left Miles alone in the cell. He didn't know where he was, who those sky people were, and he knew that he wanted to be home. He wanted both his mates.

A few feet away from the base on a tree

Jake, Tonowari, and the rest of the warriors were a few feet away from the base where Jake and Tonowari knew their Little Mate was.

As soon as they got a few feet away from the base, Jake and Tonowari wanted to just storm in and kill everyone but Tsu'tey stopped them and told them they needed a plan, but Jake nor Tonowari could come up with one, the only thing in both Olo'eyktans minds was getting their Little Mate out of there and taking him back to their home, so Tsu'tey came up with a plan instead.

Every na'vi spread around the base, making sure no one could escape.

When a human saw them and pulled the panic switch, Tonowari killed the human with his spear.

As soon as one drop of the human blood dropped on the ground, Jake and Tonowari went feral.

With Miles

Miles heard a loud crying sound and red lights go off.

He heard screaming and yelling.

Miles knew his mates had come for him.

The avatars came rushing into the cell with guns in hand. The boss came forward and unlocked his feet chains and made him stand up.

Miles took this as his chance he took the knife in the boss pants, slashed across the boss's chest, and bolted out the door.

He ran and ran until someone knocked him down. He quickly got back up and got into an attack position, and he hissed only to stop once he saw both his mates.

He got up and ran to the closest one, which happened to Tonowari.

Tonowari dropped his spead and wrapped his arms around his Little Mate. Jake joined the hug, holding Miles closely as possible.

Miles then stepped away and got a good look at his mate, and what he saw turned him on his mates were covered in red blood from head to toe, their eyes looked as if they could send you to Eywa straight away.

"Did they hurt you?" Tonowari gently spinned him so he could see if there was an injury on him, but he saw the cuffs on his wrist and his ankles.

"I'm okay." Miles replied he stood still when Tonowari put his spear through the cuff and ripped it off. He did the same to the rest.

"Who did this to you, Baby?" Jake asked, he looked calm but his eyes and the way he questioned him did not sound calm at all.

As Miles was gonna respond, another gruff voice spoke, "There's our prize."

Jake, Tonowari, and Miles looked in front of them to see the avatars with guns, and the boss, who was standing in the middle, had blood dripping down from his chest.

But Jake and Tonowari didn't care about the blood , they didn't care that the avatars had guns. All they cared about was the fact that this wannabe na'vi called Their Little Mate his?!

"You're trophy?" Tonowari asked calmly. He also looked calm and that's bad.

"Yes, our trophy." The boss answered smugly.

"He's not your trophy. He's our mate. Call him you're trophy one more time and I'll gift your head to My Mate." Jake was pissed. But what the boss said pissed him off more.

"Hand over our trophy. Last time before you die." The boss stated once again smugly and that was his mistake because no one nor nothing could stop what Jake and Tonowari did next.

Jake and Tonowari killed all of them they made sure all of them bleed out to death. And when they got to the boss, Jake held his head back and Tonowari cut it off with his spear.

Jake and Tonowari walked towards Miles who was standing there watching his mate is shock and awe, and both Olo'eyktans gave Miles the head of the Boss na'vis.

Miles threw the head somewhere he didn't care about the head all he cared about was his mates and hoping his mates would fuck him right then and there.

"Ma Jake, Ma Tono, please, please, I need you." Miles begged for them. Miles begged for his mate to fuck him.

Jake and Tonowari smirked at eachother and then at Miles.

Jake kissed Miles and Tonowari kissed Miles neck. None of the three wasted any time they took of their loincloth careful not to rip it.

neo3 🧡 (20) • He's roomies with my 8, at home they only speak octarian since it helps him keep in practice and 8 isn't very proficient in inklish • He's usually the translator for 8 whenever they have to talk to someone since 8 is too shy and stubborn to practice his inklish • He was helped out of the domes by my captain 3 when he was a lot younger so he adopted inkling culture more readily and enthusiastically • He's probably the most feminine out of all my kids hehe, he's silly and can be a little gullible but he's very passionate about the things he likes :)

eight 💗 (21) • He's very close with my n3 and captain 3, after the events of oe and after rooming with n3 for so long • He used to be a weapons specialist before coming to the surface, so he knows a lot about the underground and it also makes him more fond of doing the tedious house chores while n3 is out • He takes trips often to visit captain via the deepsea metro, that's basically the only reason he'll go outside lol • He's shy and closed off but he is very determined/stubborn when it comes to some things

This is a soft revamp of Tirius Rowan, under the cut you will find a several new details about Tirius.

Tirius Rowan is a very serious man, some believe this is an act but it's not. He is not a stranger to having fun or being able to let loose but one truth doesn't cancel out the other. Tirius does not play games the way others might play them.

While he presents as a very religious man and follows many of the traditions of his people, there is something deeper in Tirius that weaponizes the Gods and faith. Tirius Rowan married young, 21 when he returned from Lys with a bride of his own. She had their first son soon after their return, Tahir Rowan who is currently 17 and a knight and his second son Bekir Rowan who has recently turned 8. The 14 y/o Tarik Rowan is the key, one of many, to their divorce.

Tirius and his wife divorced recently, it was a nasty divorce where it was revealed that Ryon Wyl is the father of Tarik. He is not the father of Bekir because Ryon was fighting in the mountains when Bekir was born. Layla Moraqos did not take trips to Lys as it was originally thought. The Other Details:

Much like the rumors of Tywin Lannister in GoT the knowledge of Tirius Rowan's whoring is of much debate. A reputation that quietly existed when he was a younger man is rumored to have resurfaced in the face of a brutal divorce. Tirius, offended by the notice that a Tarly bastard could field more men than has decided that Gael will also be victim of his ambition. If not directly, he will do what he can to act.

Tirius Rowan mostly feels nothing towards the other realms and their people. he is the hand. He feels what the king feels and oes what the king needs.
