I need to know more of the boodle x stitchnit lore. Like, we're they already together before MisMag1, did the pilot program accidentally bring them together because they were their trusted adults? Thinking about my Unsleeping City Cinematic Universe theory that several specific sidequest seasons take place in the same universe as tuc. The magic in tuc is described as so location specific that it can express itself in different ways, but often seems to take the form of some sort of secret world within a world. This is why I propose that Misfits and Magic and Tiny Heist are both definitely within the tuc universe.

There are clues within each, like Nurse Stitchnit having a trans niece in America named Maddie (Maddie Park?) Or the Little family having a Gladiator Prime account. I also believe that A Court of Fey and Flowers is set in the Fairy Realm that Misty/Rowan hails from, given that it makes use of the classic court system and makes references to Queen Titania and King Oberon, etc. This is why Jeremy Renner can be brought from Earth in acofaf, but in Fantasy High they have to make a fantasy version of Fetty Wap. Solace is not a part of the magic earth/tuc cinematic universe.

All of this is basically fact in my mind. The real thing I'm puzzling over right now, as I anticipate Never Stop Blowing Up to be the newest candidate for the tuc universe, is whether I can jam Burrow's End and Mentopolis in there. Burrow's End would be easier, as the stoats do sort of have their "own world" and given that it's established in tuc2 that one can science themselves into magic on accident, which gells with the radiation-based magic origins. But I don't think there are any particular hints that I can remember that definitively link them, mostly because the 80s wouldn't have Gladiator or anything. Mentopolis is the bigger stretch, because we don't see any true magic happening in it, just the wacky science at Gobstopper Industries, but Elias may simply be unaware of magic and experiencing it, like the Littles living surrounded by magical tiny folks. Elias himself is a "secret little world" which thematically suits the tuc universe, and he definitely lives on Earth, so it's not inconceivable that it's the magic earth, I just have no proof.

literally no one asked so it's going under a cut and untagged but anyway here are the npcs from each d20 season (that i've finished) i'd cast jeremy jordan as

fantasy high: johnny spells. would put his whole pussy into the accent and unsettling dialogue. also it'd be funny having a man who famously cannot dance playing the leader of a dance gang plus the, like, single jace line in ep 3 bc otherwise my choice for junior year doesn't make sense

unsleeping city (1 and 2): dale lee. in my opinion, most of his best performances have been Wife Guys. not necessarily literally married, but have that energy. especially when the woman in question kicks absolute ass. sondheim would also be really funny though

fantasy high sophomore year (and pirates of leviathan): alistair ash. back to his silly and kinda pathetic little guy comfort zone

a crown of candy: calroy cruller. i'm gonna be real, this one's largely for thirst reasons. dgmw he'd do a fantastic job, but first and foremost it's because i wanna hear the monologue

misfits and magic: nurse stitchnit. i think he'd be really great with the big emotional beats with evan. some of his best work in supergirl was when they let winn be emotionally intelligent and supportive. (like with kara and her panic attacks in triggers, for example)

starstruck odyssey: honestly i don't have a strong opinion on this one besides the fact that it's gotta be someone from baustin, new texas. sheriff codge, maybe? idk just let the man be Aggressively Texan.

coffin run: emil ward. this one's just vibes. i see him doing the evil businessman thing very well.

a court of fey and flowers: the funny answer is jeremy renner. the thirsty answer is chooch. i'm saying chooch. we know he plays sluts well, also it's my list and no one else cares. if you're still reading this, you're probably as insane about jerjor as i am and will respect this vision.

neverafter: lord bainbridge bandlebridge. again this one's mostly just vibes i think he'd have fun with it.

ravening war: jaques tomate. he'd get real silly with the voice, it would be great

mentopolis: wilton (of "we're drowning in cum down here" and "if it's not about cock and balls, i don't care" fame) is the funny answer, and you know what, i'm sticking with it.

burrow's end: the thirst choices do not stop. jeremy jordan for bennett.

fantasy high junior year: jace stardiamond. the man plays a damn good fag who is, again, down bad for powerful people

i did just answer this but i will pick a different one so i'll be basic and say kalina. she was great. her trying to kill kristen in the forest when they went in the first time and everyone doing work to make sure she wouldn't was just absolutely perfect and such a strong villain moment. plus the whole ordeal with pok. iconic

I forgot how truly delightful MisMag is. It’s got a self insert fanfic energy but in a way that sort of forces you to examine the media in a different way which I think is why it’s so fun to me. I love to look at a genre and examine things about it and it really scratches that itch for me. It still gets to have the fun and the whimsy, and these amazing moments (ex: Evan talking to Stitchnit, especially when Evan starts talking about what the other Magical Misfits can do). Yes it’s meant to be a sort of a dig at a certain author, but it’s also taking it from her and saying this is ours now, you couldn’t play nice with it so we’re going to make it a fun thing where everyone can be included and there’s also a toilet in the nurse’s office because why WOULDNT you have modern plumbing
