Julieta blinked as her sleep was suddenly disturbed by a bright light. She blinked awake, groaning and trying to rub the sleep from her eyes. It took her a moment for her vision to focus, but she finally was able to see who opened her shell. Her younger siblings, Pepa and Bruno.

"Pepa, Bruno, what are you doing?" Julieta yawned. "It's early.

"Nu-uh. The sun is in the sky. And we're hungry, and we know you are too," Pepa said, and Julieta sat for a second. Yeah, she was hungry.

"Well is mamá awake?" She asked and both shook their heads.

"No. She is still asleep," Bruno sighed, pointing to their mother, Alma. She was still in the corner, asleep, her massive tail wrapping around her like tendrils. "We tried waking her up but she just turned."

"We want you to help. Maybe if all three of us try, she'll wake up," Pepa said with a smile and Julieta looked between the two before shrugging.

Climbing out of her shell, both she and her siblings swam over to where Alma was still sleeping. They practically scaled her tail, eventually getting to her face. They stared at her sleeping form for a moment before Julieta finally moved forward.

She tapped on her mother's face, staring up at her. "Mamá. Mamá. Mamí," Julieta said over and over and Alma shifted. "Mamí. Mamí, tenemos hambre."

Alma shifted again, groaning. "¿Qué?" She asked, her voice groggy. She still hadn't opened her eyes, but she was at the very least awake. It baffled Pepa and Bruno how easily Julieta could wake their mamá. They tried for a while and all she did she turn away.

"We're hungry," Julieta said, pouting a bit "Can you get us some food? Please?"

Alma didn't say anything for a moment, and at first, the triplets were convinced she had gone back to sleep. "Mamí. Mamí." Pepa said, tapping on her mother's face as well.

Bruno groaned, tugging on her large fingers. "!Mamí, despierta!" He whined. He put his whole body weight on her finger, bending it back a considerable amount. Alma seemed to react to that, because the next thing they knew, she had lifted her head and was yawning. Her hand, possibly by reflex, had grabbed Bruno, and the small guppy giggled as she cradled him in her hand.

"I'm up, I'm up," Alma said, sitting up. She set Bruno down, pushing herself up. The water around her tail caused a current as she stretched it, and it picked up the triplets, sending them into a fit of giggles. "You said you're hungry?"

"Yeah! We've been up forever, we wanna go eat!" Pepa said and Alma swam over to the other side of the cave where their shells were. Thankfully she had colored them, otherwise, she wouldn't be able to tell whose was whose.

"All right, come on mi amores," Alma said softly, and the trio quickly made their way to their shells. Alma draped them around her neck, the pearls falling around her shining scales. "I'll get you something to eat, don't worry."
