Ghost Abuelo💥💥💥💥

Toying with the idea of Pedro being semi-present within the timeline of the Giant Siren AU. He's not always there, but appears every now and again, mostly for his family. Specifically when they're in an situations of importance or peril.

Heavilyyyyyy based on the Ghost Leviathans from Subnautica (I need to play that game again lol), uhhhh idk, I was think about them, and the au but I digress. I wanted something to always, or at least almost always, be present in the darkest of the ocean. Even below the trenches and what have you, where the deep sea siren live.

But Antonio would not have been the first to see Pedro; he would have predated Antonio's birth even. The one to see him the most, and consistently, would either be Alma or Bruno. I'm sorta leaning towards Bruno, because given the Ghost Leviathans in Subnautica only appear in the out of bounds and edge of the map areas of the game, I want Pedro to be more likely to appear in dark spaces, as well as the situations.

I just feel like ghost sirens would only appear in very specific situations, like the leviathans. And while Bruno might not have seen him everyday or anything, he definitely saw him lurking around the deeper parts of the trench's that even the deep sea siren are hesitant to explore.

Debating on whether others would be able to see Ghost Siren freely (at least when they appear), or if they're only visible to whoever they were closely related to or who they want to be seen by.

The land-maid giant had been sitting there for a while, staring into the little oasis of ocean she’d placed them in. They felt…very exposed, with nowhere to hide but a few sparse patches of grass. They kept telling themself that it didn’t matter how much light there was or how open the waters were, no hunters could reach them here. There was a long stretch of land between themself and the sea.

The thought was as terrifying it was reassuring.

She lit up as they worked up the courage to peek back out at her from the grass. Her words were muffled, but not so much that they couldn’t understand her. She was bubbling over with questions—what they were, who they were, if they were alright, did they need anything else, were they hungry, what did they even eat, where did they come from, how did they get here…?

They waved and smiled, but kept silent. Bad things happened when sirens spoke. Their voice was dangerous, the magic hard to control, and the land-folk were particularly susceptible to its curses.

This one had saved them from a horrible death drying out in the sun. What sort of thank you would it be to answer her?

Hey Llama, since we saw what a good aquarium is like, how about zoo siren au if the aquarium was actually competent and good? :D

Sans: This AU would probably make the biggest difference to dearly beloved orca boy. Our cute monochromatic sociopath has a dizzyingly large pool with plenty of room to move and depth to dive into, plenty of natural lighting from big windows and fresh air pumped from outside, a constantly rotated array of complex toys to pull apart. But most importantly, humans don't closely interact with him. The aquarium can tell he's angry, and doesn't want anyone near him- so for both their safety and his peace of mind staff interact with him exclusively through sheets of thick glass or from high walkways far out of his reach.

This has left them with a siren who still launches attacks when he can (like breaching to try and hit the walkway), but has never successfully killed anyone. And the biggest difference is he's only attacking out of momentary flashes of frustration. He's not planning murders far in advance, like his abused counterpart- he's just losing his temper. He's generally quite content.

Even more so when he meets his darling keeper.

Red: We have a very happy shark on our hands!

A big tank, full of swarms of little fish and actual live coral instead of just fake fibreglass, he's got one of those winding shark tunnels beneath his enclosure that kids love to run through. He delights in the excited expressions on their faces when he glides over their heads, and he likes being 'chased' around the tank... lots of cute viral videos of him blowing bubbles at children, or sneaking up behind an unsuspecting adult and scaring the shit out of them.

The aquarium tried to wean him off his affinity for people. It didn't work. Unfortunately, that means he can't really ever be released, in case he approaches swimmers and gets himself hunted- so now they indulge his fixation on humans for enrichment purposes.

The main difference for this Red is how he bites. He still bites keepers, But they're warnings for getting too close, nothing with malicious intent... he hasn't removed any fingers, he's still very popular with staff for his big personality. You can't help but love him.

Skull: Since Sans is happy pulling apart his toys instead of staff, Skull is arguably the most dangerous siren in this AU. Not much changes about him, really, despite the far better environment; he's got a lovely deep dark tank and a much bigger den to hide in, but he's still known for tucking away rather than approaching the crowds.

... And he's still a killer.

He's the only siren who's successfully killed someone in this AU. Ironically, the fact that it's only one death makes him seem even scarier, and his repeated attempts all the more jarring. If it weren't for the strict safety protocols that were enforced after the first death he likely would've killed again. Unlike their 'bad au' counterpart, this aquarium isn't nearly as willing to throw Mc into his tank to pacify him- in fact, they're not willing at all. Putting Mc within tentacle's reach of this behemoth seems to be the last thing they want to do.

... But if it keeps him calm, and stops him attacking...

I saw an old drawing of giant siren Alma destroying some ships, which were probably the ones who killed Pedro, it's very cool!! Do you think you could redraw it?

And yeah, it was the fleet that took out Pedro. Yes, it was an entire fleet. No, they couldn't take out Alma. They only had one harpoon, and given how MASSIVE it was, they couldn't just make and assembke another one lol. The whole reason it took a fleet to take down Pedro was because they had to literally transport the harpoon in pieces to the middle of the ocean.

Anyway, Alma didn't let it slide at all

She was on them so fast, they had like no time to react 😭

Thought I should clear some of the air on my little Au's since I dont want anyone to be confused. Fairy Annora is a different Annora from Siren Song Annora! Same with the Ventis. Same basic makeup, very different stories.
