Okay. Finished a checks watch 10 hour play session, without breaks no stopping.
General thoughts down below. No explicit spoilers but tone/ personality reads ahead. Long post :D feel free to respond or whatever.
One of the first things that I just wanna get out the way is, personally, the cast in this game is leagues better than the first game. And that isn’t like a “ah they’re all hotter!” (They are, don’t misconstrue what I’m saying, they very much are hotter then the first game’s cast) but the general vibe in cross roads is significantly more intresting. Which is very funny considering the set up, on paper, is remarkably similar. Hard ass, stuck up head of the place, shade mentor, emo bitch who hates you and wants to fuck you, emo boy who wants to fuck you, nebulous little thing that doesn’t serve a purpose but allows for comedic relief, hypnos, skelly— the works.
Yet the energy is wildly different. Idk I’m not like a zagreus dick rider or anything he’s cool but you really can feel how lonely the house of hades was in comparison to cross roads camp, a place not even half its size. The affection for Mel is like bursting out the seems of everyone around her (save Nem) and it goes past duty or obligation to the cause. It really feels like they all love each other dearly. I think that was so missing in the house of hades, intentionally or otherwise, but it felt so… cold? I always knew hypnos got that treatment because I’m crazy, but looking back that’s how everyone acting with zag too. They just talked to him. lol.
Ahhh to this point but a little bit to the left— hectate and Mel’s everything is incredibly compelling. Mel clearly and obviously seeing her as a mother figure, the only one she’s ever known and loving her deeply for it and frankly fighting in this war partly out of duty but more for her family she DOES have now, and then Hectate who knew Mel’s family and knew what they went through and refuses to take the place of “mother” when Mel has a mother, even if she isn’t here right now. But instead of detaching and making sure no real connection is made she’s so kind. She’s so supportive and loving and sweet and you can tell she cares about Mel so much. Zag’s mom came home and like, never gave off the vibe she cared even half as much. There’s a few moments when Mel tries to convey this love and this almost… mm… this idea that she doesn’t … need? A mom because she has one (hectate) and the witch shuts it down soooo quickly and Mel is always so dejected and it hurts but it’s sooo good. God. I want more of that. For the whole game. Please
Moros is a fucking delight. Like absolutely delightful. He’s sweet and polite and unassuming and kinda just sorry for taking up space but in the dignified way. I love everything about him. I am writing this checks watch May 6th, 2024 and at this point he is lovely. Assuming he doesn’t like, back hand hypnos he’s top 5 easy.
Nemesis is… unfortunately funny and charming. I hate emos I hate the bitchy dark thing I hated Meg for the same reason. This character shouldn’t work for me…. But it does. She’s the worst. I routinely cursed her out when she came on my screen. And yet. I think where Nem succeeds where Meg (and than) failed, is that nem genuinely is like, an asshole. And that’s endearing. She insults Mel and undermines her and talks down to her and clearly they have crazy beef. Meg and than just felt sooo put on with their back and forth with zag and it got old fast. Nem is a delight. If she doesn’t like, back hand hypnos she’s staying in my good graces.
Odess… has the least for me to say honestly. He’s sexy. Not much more than that. I adore how smitten he is with Mel, he clearly adores her.
Hypnos. Hand waves. No need to rehash that. Don’t touch me.
As for the oylmpus gods, they’re all as amazing as before. Apollo is my favorite, obviously, and he isn’t how I expected but he’s like just as wonderful in the opposite direction. This is the wrong way but it’s still took us to a great place. I’m content.
The goddess of fire is broken as hell as a boon also she’s a delight. Adore her. Same for the god of forges. Everyone is wonderful. I need more gods tho the current batch is amazing but I need ares and Athena yaknow everyone else. Idk if that’s an “add to the game later” thing or a “pepsi needs to play more of the game” thing. Either way I’m excited.
Story isn’t fully clear yet, as for what happened, it’s all just the stuff in the trailers tbh so nothing new there. All and all is having a fucking blast. I didn’t mention everyone I saw and enjoyed or didn’t because I’m tired sleepy but I have no one I don’t like RIGHT NOW. RIGHT NOW everyone is a delight.
Fic soon…
WAIT I DIDNT EVEN SAY: MEL IS THR BEST. 3
EVERYTHING AVOUT HER IS AMAZING!! Im gonna give her a separate post tmw i adore her down BAD

Ep. 4 :D (MID Rewrite)
After 50 years…it’s done….lol. When I told you guys late night or tomorrow I might’ve meant both lmao. I’m very sorry for taking so long, me and my family went on vacation recently so I couldn’t write then. (The internet there was so trash😭) but yeah hope you enjoy!!! If you want stuff that’s happening here to make sense, I’d recommend going through my blog to see all the other episodes. One and two are kinda a slog to get through (at least to me) like u can legit see my writing go from complete ass to pretty fine it’s crazy.
Episode 4: A Grieving Queen
Yakedo woke up in a cold dark cell. Everything around him was dark and fuzzy. He couldn’t feel anything aside from the water that dripped down from the ceiling. Since two of his senses were unusable, he decided to use his smell.
There was a metallic smell, much like blood, yet he could tell it wasn’t. The smell was distinct something he never smelled before. There was something else in the room he was in. He just couldn’t tell if it was outside or inside his cell. He tried to move, but a wave of pain hit him hard.
Every time, no matter if he moved an inch, a horrible tinge of pain would sprawl all over his body. With sheer willpower, he managed to move his body to face the bars of his cell.
He still couldn’t see anything. His eyes were still fuzzy from just awaking, but he thought they should’ve adjusted long before now. Then again, the darkness he was in didn’t feel right to him. Almost like it was unnatural.
There are many spells or beings that can produce this type of thing, but the only two kingdoms that have been able to harness this type of power are Mir and Noimosýni. But there was no way Noimosýni would use its magic in a crisis, so that left Mir and their beasts.
Yakedo couldn’t deny that the thought of having to go against something that could abstract vision as much as it was right now slightly frightened him. Of course with a good team, they could take something of this caliber down. Hell what was he thinking? He could take it down by himself. The darkness was making him vulnerable to rather outrageous feelings.
Before Yakedo could worry too much, he could hear footsteps that echoed throughout the outside of his cell. There was a click of a lock followed by more footsteps. Yakedo could tell now that they sounded more like heels. Yet there were more armored steps accompanied by it.
“Garmon, please tell your companion to lift Yakedo’s blight.” It was Mothando.
As if by the flick of a switch Yakedo could see Mothando, Garmon, two Umnotho soldiers, and a bird-like creature. They were all illuminated by a torch one of the guards were holding.
Yakedo payed attention to the beast. That must’ve been the thing that was obstructing his vision. It looked like a falcon, and its feathers were a midnight blue, with speckles of white and purple. Its beak was a dark purple, and slobber slowly dripped from it. Yakedo guessed that was the smell.
He payed more attention to Mothando. Immediately feeling enraged, but more at himself for letting himself get caught.
“O-Of course… I should’ve-“ Mothando interrupted by hushing him.
“I have no time for any of this foolishness.” She crouched down to meet Yakedo’s level
“I’ve waited a long time for this…to be able to have you in my mercy…for me to finally have my answer…”
“Do you know how stupid this is?” Yakedo gained the strength to crawl towards Mothando despite the pain.
“My soldiers…my knights…hell, even my advisor will come to strike you down for this.”
“It’s funny you say that actually…considering you agreed to a month’s worth of relaxation with Garmon written in a letter.”
“What..?” Yakedo’s anger started to rise by the second. Refusing to believe they’d in act on such an idiotic plan.
“I’ve known you for years Yakedo, I know how you are. I know how you treat your soldiers, your advisor, anyone that interacts with you. With that, I can guess how you treat your sons.”
Yakedo knew what he wanted to do. He wanted to kill Mothando. Obviously with how he was now he couldn’t, but he’ll try.
Despite all that pained him, he started to stand up. Fueled by his pure and utter hatred for Mothando.
“You keep our children out of this…it’s none of your business how I treat them.” He bared his teeth, “Besides, you’ve never even had a child. You wouldn’t even know how to raise a roach to be royalty.”
Mothando got up to meet Yakedo’s level. The torch behind her made her Afro look like that of a sun. Her golden eyes looked deep into Yakedo’s soul, and Yakedo couldn’t tell what emotion she had.
“I feel you would know that I only got to experience that for three years…and then he was taken from me.”
Anger and frustration were practically beaming from her face. Her eyes were starting to pierce through Yakedo.
“I just want to ask one question Yakedo. Where is my son?”
The tension in the air was so thick, not even a freshly sharpened sword could cut through it. Mothando still stabbed Yakedo with her gaze, awaiting an answer.
Yakedo’s mind was a storm of questions and ignorance. How could Mothando even start to think he’d have any knowledge of her son? He thought.
“You might be even dumber than a rodent.” Simply stated Yakedo. His hands gripped at the bars tightly, and he started to prepare his fire magic.
“I’ll ask you this again. Where is my son?” She stayed still, as if she was petrified by Medusa.
“I’m…” Yakedo readied his magic, preparing to strike Mothando with it, “I’m not answering shit.”
Yakedo then stepped back quickly, and fired his attack at Mothando’s face. Mothando was not able to act fast enough, so the fire struck her on the side of her face.
She hissed in pain at the burn. Her face looked as if she was proven right on something, like she was reassured. The tears that were streaming down her face said otherwise though.
The tears screamed pain, they screamed frustration, grief, and surprise. These tears stopped Mothando from saying anything more. She didn’t trust her voice.
The two Umnotho guards stood in front of Mothando as Yakedo prepared to make another blow. Garmon quickly started to sign to the bird-like beast behind him to reinforce the spell.
Yakedo aimed his next attack on the bars, trying to melt them. As soon as he shot this, the beast beside Garmon started to screech. When it did this, that same pain and darkness surrounded Yakedo once again.
This time it felt almost 1000 times worse than before. It nearly made him pass out, but there was nothing else he could do besides that.
He could barely hear anything, as a painful ringing noise invaded his ears. His mind and body begged him to succumb to its attempts at relief, and he yielded to it.
Ava paced around her room, awaiting Lorelei’s arrival. She didn’t understand what was taking her so long, she needed to head to work like, now. Ava then got a text on her phone. She quickly went to see who it was, and it happened to be Lorelei
the text read: “yo! Sososo soz for being late!!! Jake wanted to make me something for lunch later today (ain’t he sweet🥹🥹🥹) so ofc had to stay!! But NOW I’m heading over there!!! Should only take a few minsss!!”
Ava laid on her bed face first and groaned into her pillow. She was definitely gonna be a little late, but surely Max will just be glad she’s gonna be there. At least that’s what she hoped.
She figured she could tell the Daemons that Lorelei was almost here. Did they even know her name? She thought. She decided not to think too hard and just tell them.
Once again like yesterday she slammed the door open. She also hit Leif again in the process.
“Woah what the-!? Why would you sleep there again!?” Asked Ava.
“None of your business…asshole” he murmured as he quickly moved away.
Ava cursed under her breath while trying to get into her “royal” state of mind.
“My dear guests!” Exclaimed Ava in a bit of a hushed tone.
All the Daemons ears perked up, showing that they were paying full attention. Ava slightly winced at the sight of them. She didn’t really know if they could control that aspect of themselves.
She tucked that worry deep inside her mind and began to silently hype herself up.
“So my royal friend is a bit…” Ava paused. What was the best way to describe Lorelei? “…much” she decided on.
“But I assure you! She means well!” As soon as Ava finished speaking a flurry of knocks banged at the front door.
“see? That’s her right now!” She speed walked to the front door to answer.
“Ava! So so sorry! I would’ve came a itsy bitsy bit earlier but I wanted to bring things for me and your-“ Ava cut off Lorelei.
“Yeah sure just make sure to uh…yeah.” She sped past Lorelei and ran to the elevator.
Lorelei thought it was a bit weird Ava would brush her off like that. Especially because she hasn’t introduced her other friends. Then again, she was running a bit late.
She turned around to meet her future best friends and was immediately shocked. She didn’t really expect all of them to be guys, and for them to be so tall too. Their ears too. They all looked like elves.
Maybe they were just earbuds? She thought. There were some new headphones that looked like elf ears, but they were meant for cosplayers.
“Sup future best friends!” She exclaimed, slightly startling the men.
“I’m uber duber excited to meet you guys!” She squealed. She immediately went to the table.
She slammed her heavy bag onto the table and started taking things out of it. It ranged from board games, different foods, some video games, and basically all of Lorelei’s favorite things.
All the Daemons were very much confused. They didn’t know what any of these things were, let alone what they were supposed to do.
Noi picked one of some type of game called “Scraggle” eyeing it a bit. It looked like some type of education game to him. At least it taught you the spelling of words.
“Oh! Orange! Lemme know your names and stuff first! Haha!” Lorelei grabbed the board game out of Noi’s hand and sat down on the couch.
”So I’m pretty sure Ava already introduced me, but in case she didn’t, I’m Lorelei! I’ve got a boyfriend, and I really like dogs!” She looked at the five men who looked confused as ever.
“Psst. Now you introduce yourselves.”
Asch looked as if a lightbulb finally shown in his head. “Oh! I’m Asch, Prince of Chikara queen Lorelei.” He then bowed.
It was now Lorelei’s turn to be confused. Of course lightly, she already assumed they were cosplayers. Maybe they were just really in character.
“These three are my knights for this mission, Pierce, Leif, and Noi ” he pointed at them all. “And this is my dear advisor, Rhys”
Leif snorted at the word “dear” and Asch punched him in the arm.
“Wow! You guys got some interestin’ names!” She started putting stuff off the table and slammed the box named “Scraggle” on it.
“Unless you guys are hungry, we can get to playing some board games!” She started to open the box.
Inside it was cardboard with a velvet cover. There was also a small bag that seemed to have something in it.
As entranced by the things that were on the table as they were, they couldn’t help but focus on the word hungry. They hadn’t eaten something since they came here after all.
“We are hungry. Feed us.” Blankly stated Pierce.
“Pfft, straight to the point I guess!” Lorelei took out a big plastic bag and a metal container.
As soon as she opened the metal container, a fiesta of spices and scents hit the five Daemon’s noses.
It was unlike anything they’ve smelt before. Of course they had their fair share of well seasoned foods and sauces, but nothing to this degree.
“Hey Lorelei…what is this..?” Asked Noi. He almost put his finger in the sauce before Lorelei quickly smacked his hand away.
“Yo! Don’t put your hands in the salsa!” Lorelei then remembered what Ava said. They were from a different country, so maybe stuff like this is obscure.
“O-M-G! Totally forgot to ask! What country are you guys from?” Lorelei opened the bag and another waft of smell hit the Daemon’s senses.
”Ah, we are from Daemos, not a country, as it’s a whole other world.” Said Rhys, ignoring how tempting the smell of whatever was inside the container was.
“…uh…I like the dedication, but just tell me where you guys are from.” Lorelei started to look a bit irritated, but the five men didn’t have the faintest clue as to why.
“Well? You guys are cosplayers right?”
“What’s a costco-player..?” Asked Leif.
Lorelei scanned the five men again. The more she looked at their ears, the more real they seemed. She had slightly pointy ears herself, but those were human. Their ears looked like that of a bat.
“Are…what are you guys..?”
Ava ran as fast as she could to the burger joint. She constantly bumped into people while mumbling apologies all throughout the city. One guy even cussed her out, but she didn’t pay enough attention to care. All Ava wanted to do was keep this job.
Her dads were practically handing her jobs, and she always managed to lose them. It’s not like she wanted to, she just didn’t really want to work for money.
As privileged as she knew it sounded, it really was how she felt. Her dads always provided her with money when she was jobless, and most of the time they just handed things to her.
She was starting to feel bad about it though. Everyone around her was rich while she was just some jobless leech. Lorelei of all people was pretty rich because she was an influencer, and Jake worked in tech. Sometimes they would just send her money unprovoked, and she always felt terrible afterwards.
As she got close to the doors she saw Max putting up a “Now Hiring” sign. Ava was praying that meant someone other than her was fired.
“M-Max! Wait!” She started to catch her breath, “I’m here…”
Max looked at Ava, but Ava felt it was like she was looking down on her. She didn’t know if that was because of the height difference though.
“Ava, I’m sorry but…We’re gonna have to let you go…” Max handed Ava a paycheck, “Here’s your last payment…I hope you can find another job.”
Ava’s heart sunk right down to her stomach. She was here now, shouldn’t Max be glad? She thought.
Ava’s temper started to rise. She thought she had every right to still work here. Before she knew it, Ava exploded at Max.
“Oh c’mon! I’m here now you asshole! You should be grateful I even worked here! Do you know who my dads are!? They’ll make you let me work here!” Ava’s eyes made it seem she was ready to argue for hours, but Max was even more ready.
“Ava, I gave you so many chances to keep this job but…” Max turned away, “You just kept disappointing me. I want you to keep a job but you have to work. You’re like 25 now right? Act like it.”
Max went into the store leaving Ava speechless. Ava looked around seeing that almost everyone was staring at her. Tears started to well up in her eyes as she walked away from the store.
Ava felt completely defeated. Nothing about these past few days went her way. And as if the world was against her, it started to rain. Which was exactly what she needed.
The city went from a wild atmosphere with the smell of car fuel and hot dog stands to a melancholy set of streets and car honking.
As sad and out of it as she was, Ava could hear a very faint sound of meowing. She looked around for a bit to find that it was coming from an alley.
She knew better than to just go inside random alleys, but she can tell that this meowing sound was real. Her mind was still barking at her to turn back though.
As she went deeper and deeper down the potential death trap, the meowing became louder and more desperate. Once she finally got to the source, she found a tiny, malnourished, cat by a box. When Ava looked in the box, she found two kittens.
One already looked like life had failed it, but the second one was still breathing. It still looked like it was suffering though, and that made Ava’s heart sink even deeper than it was.
She gently picked up the adult cat and placed it in the box. Even though it pained her, she picked up the deceased kitten and put it by the box.
When she picked up the box, it was surprisingly light. She figured she should’ve expected it to be this light due to how underweight they were.
Ava speed walked to her apartment to get these cats some hope of survival. She felt a tiny bit better about herself, which was good given how shitty she thought the day went.
Before she could reach the elevator to get to her apartment, she came across her neighbor, Mrs. Oats.
“Ava! Oh it’s great to see you!” Said Mrs. Oats, carrying some grocery bags.
“Hey Mrs. Oats, glad you missed the rain?” Said Ava while pressing the elevator button.
“Oh most definitely! Shouldn’t you be at work though?” Asked Mrs. Oats.
Ava slightly winced at the question, even though it was an understandable one.
“Y-Yeah uhm…they let me go…” said Ava. Mrs. Oats looked like she felt terrible for asking.
“Aw Ava…I’m sorry…” said Mrs. Oats. Ava tried to make her not feel bad.
“No! No! You didn’t know, it’s totally fine!” Said Ava, and she continued to blurt out a wave of reassurances.
She continued this mini damage control while they entered the elevator with Mrs. Oats looking quite overwhelmed.
“Ava it’s fine! I should be the one apologizing, haha!” Mrs. Oats then pressed the button to their floor.
“But Ava, I’ve been wanting to ask…what’s all that…commotion going on in your apartment lately?” Asked Mrs. Oats.
Ava started to blush a bit. If she told Mrs. Oats it was a bunch of guys or even friends she’d get the wrong idea. But by the way Mrs. Oats was looking at her, it seemed she already assumed the worse.
“Oh don’t worry Ava. If it’s something like that, I won’t pry into it anymore.” Mrs. Oats then winked at her, and Ava felt like she was gonna die of embarrassment.
Before things could get any worse the elevator opened, and Ava quickly walked out of it.
They talked a bit more before going into their separate apartments. But before Mrs. Oats left, Ava remembered something.
“Oh, Mrs. Oats!” Mrs. Oats turned her attention to Ava.
“I uh…found this box and…” she showed Mrs. Oats what was inside, “I found these lil’ guys”
Mrs. Oats lightly gasped, “Oh Ava…you want me to take care of them don’t you?”
Ava nodded, “I know you already have a cat and stuff but…just these two? Please?” She pleaded.
“I could…but once the mother is healthy enough, she has to go to you. I don’t have enough room for two adult cats.” Said Mrs. Oats, gently picking up the box.
“Of course, thank you so much!” Said Ava hugging Mrs. Oats while being careful not to crush the box.
Mrs. Oats smiled and hummed as a response. They both then walked into their separate apartments with Mrs. Oats having two more responsibilities.
As Ava walked into the room, the atmosphere hit her like a truck. It was like a murder just happened. There was clearly a struggle on the couch of some kind. Actually, it wasn’t just the couch, it was just about the whole room.
She closed the door behind her and forced herself to investigate.
Everything was so eerie and dark, it made a shiver crawl up her spine. She got closer to the bathroom where the mumbling was coming from, and put her ear to it.
“Lady Grandma, I think the best course of action for now would be to strike up on this deal.” Said a voice that sounded like Asch.
“Obviously, we’re gonna have to change how we’re approaching things. This queen…she’s stubborn…”
“So you’re thinking on taking her as prisoner?” Said a voice that was unfamiliar to Ava.
“Not exactly…we’re gonna be a bit more foreword with what we want. We can’t make her hand over power or marry us. Her friend told us so.”
Ava held in a gasp. That “friend” must’ve been Lorelei. She started to feel terrible. She sucked Lorelei into this, and it felt like it was going to get 100 times worse.
“Thank you boys so much for the report! I expect much more!”
“Of course Lady Grandma. Thank you for being available.”
Ava then heard the click of a lock and immediately scrambled to hide somewhere. She eventually settled on hiding behind the couch and peep from the side of it.
“Lady Lorelei, how long is her task gonna take?” Said Leif, looking a bit irritated.
“…Maybe not till five o’ clock? I don’t know…” said Lorelei. She looked exhausted.
“Lady Lorelei…know that the harshness we’re treating you with right now is out of…frustration with your queen.” Said Noi trying to reassure her.
“Your food…it was very good. I liked it.” Said Pierce, seemingly with the same goal as Noi.
Ava did a slight whimper out of pity for Lorelei. But when she did this, all the attention was immediately on her.
“A-Ava? Shouldn’t you be at work?” Asked Lorelei. She sounded drained.
“They…I got fired…” said Ava weakly.
Lorelei simply hummed in response. She turned to Asch
“Well she’s here now…can I go?” Asch nodded and pointed at the door.
“Remember not to tell anyone about where we’re from and stuff like that k’?” Lorelei hummed again as a response.
Lorelei briskly walked out the door and slammed it shut. That left Ava and the five Daemons staring at one another.
“What…What did you guys do to her..!?” Ava’s temper started to rise again.
“We asked her some questions about you. That is all.” stated Pierce.
“No…you can’t..! I bet she was terrified! Do you know that this looks like!? What the fuck is wrong with you guys!?” Yelled Ava, but in a hushed tone.
“It’s true she was scared. She only got that…in that state when we told her what you told us is all.” Said Rhys.
Ava started to think for a bit. It’s true, Lorelei doesn’t really have a sense for danger, but there’s no way she wasn’t terrified.
“She said she’ll ‘text’ you tomorrow. Whatever that means” Asch got a blanket from on top of the couch, “We’re going to sleep now, so go to your room or whatever.”
Ava refused to move for a second. Time and time again today she was left speechless. Almost every time, it was because of something terrible. If she could, she would go back in time to prevent any of this from happening. But unless there was anything she could steal from these guys to have it, there was nothing she could do.
“Well? If you don’t say anything I might sleep in your room.” Said Asch, seeming like he meant it as a threat.
“Fine, just…I’ll go…but we’re talking about this tomorrow…I’m way too tired.” Ava weakly went inside her room.
Ava flopped on to her bed and rolled on her back. She didn’t even feel like having to get into anything comfy. Barely anything today went well, frankly, she was surprised she even thought today would go well.
She picked up her phone and started to doom scroll through Meower a bit. She didn’t even want to touch her text messages, because she left it on Lorelei’s texts.
There was your average dumb opinion, fifth Punch streamer getting called out that week, random gaming news mixed in with politics. What you’d expect.
Except she found something weird. It was some sort of small news story about…those five Daemos guys.
It read: “Five suspicious men spotted in Up Town, New Rune. Some are saying they are cosplayers. Others state it’s something more dangerous.”
It was some weird conspiracy theory account so of course no one believed it except for its very few followers.
She did a tiny sigh of relief, but she didn’t know why. She didn’t care for these guys. They’re just slowly ruining her life. But at that moment, it seemed they were the only people there at the moment.
Lorelei seemed like she didn’t want to talk to her, so her only friend was basically gone. She knew it was a weird thought process, but she was used to things like this at that point.
She turned off her phone, put it on its charger, and faced the ceiling.
she didn’t know if she was just tired, or because so much had happened, but those guys might be another chance.
Tears built up in her eyes. She was definitely tired. She wouldn’t get so sad about something like this. All they want to do is marry her.
Ava’s eyes were starting to get heavy, and her last thought for that night was: “Maybe there was something more to those guys.”
WAHHH I’m so glad it’s done!!! Again very sorry for taking so long. I wanted to make this my best work! I’m sure the more experience I get the more I’ll be unhappy with past stuff but for now I’m pretty happy with how this turned out! Next ep will take less time trust (actually don’t I have band camp like next week so it’s gonna be a bit till next chapter lol)

I need something cute, like Steve getting a glimpse into the future and just seeing everything he's ever wanted. A big house full of kids, it's loud and busy, Toys scattered around. Then he just sees bug in all her glory. She's not dressed up or anything. Wearing pj's and sitting on the couch surrounded by a gaggle of little Harringtons. Some look like her, some look like him, maybe one who's too little to tell. Older ones sitting across the floor. Everyone's doing their own thing but all together in the same room. Everything feels warm and cozy. No more fighting for their lives, or worrying about what's gonna happen next. They're safe, surrounded by love that they created.
I imagine it like when Nancy comes back around Steve feels confused about his feelings ( Steve and Nancy never really had a friend phase like Steve and bug did, so I feel like they have trouble acting like friends around each other. It always lands into flirting territory and this might be confusing for the both of them.) And then he just gets hit with this vision and it makes him wanna cry. All he's ever wanted right in front of him but out of reach. When he'd get out of the upside he'd basically throw himself at bug. Any confusion is out the window and he knows what he wants.
ALSO, I feel like the jug reunion will be so good. I know season four took a lot away from Jon's character but I feel like it was needed. He saw his younger brother dead, his mom go crazy, planned a funeral BY HIMSELF ( and bug), he's almost died a million times. He deserved a break. He deserves to be a teenager and smoke weed, to forget about college for a minute. I feel like it helped him kinda go back to his old self, or maybe become someone new entirely that's a mixture of his two selves. Bugs tired when he comes back from California. She's been through hell and back and now she gets to see her old friend again. She gets to pretend like nothing has happened. Like she didn't almost die, like she hasn't been cursed or plagued with nightmares. She gets to relax and distract herself from everything that's happening around her. Don't get me wrong she's Happy, she loves Steve and she wouldn't give those memories up for the world, but she missed Jonathan. Everythings fucked but when bug and bee are together it's okay, they feel like everything will be okay. I feel like after everything that happened with vecna she'd feel homesick if that makes sense? She's way too stressed out and just wants to go home, but homes changed. Having Jonathan there would definitely help.
honestly what i adore about bug and jon is their childish innocence they still have together. the world is ending and theyve had the worst fucking three years of their lives but the second theyre together its bearable again.
i like to think of them as that feeling we all had as children, where we played superhero or tag or hide and seek, and the thrill and invincibility that followed after an exhilarating game with your best friend. your knees may be scrapped from falling, or maybe the dark closet you were hiding in began to scare you, but the moment youre back with your best friend all the fear and worries disappear because how couldnt they ? youre seven and your best friend is your favorite person in the entire world.
also you make such an interesting point about nancy and steve never JUST being friends. i never even considered that and now may have to rethink my pure hatred for that season 4 plotpoint (thats assuming the duffer bros even had that tidbit in mind). i think it adds such a nice layer to everything, so we shall see !!

Hey, saw your love bombing post and just wanted to throw my own thoughts out there.
What youre describing honestly sounds more like a typical cycle of a relationship. Honeymoon phase to a more relaxed and familiar phase.
I’ve always learned love bombing as being something that is done consistently to hurt someone. Almost goes along with gaslighting. Examples:
1. For two weeks I had this guy talking to me 24/7. Everything from ‘I love you’s to ‘I miss you’s etc etc etc. For two whole weeks it was very overwhelming, but I had no reason not to believe him at the time. Well. After those 2 weeks, he tried to have sex with me, got pissed when I said no, and called it off
2. My sister’s ex was very back and forth. One day he would call her crazy, tell her she was worthless and all that shit. The next day he would be the most loving partner in the world. For 8ish years. Back and forth. To make her second guess herself and be dependent on him.
Something I would not consider love bombing:
My current relationship, now going on 10 months. Our first two months, we were all over each other (within each other’s boundaries). And over the next few months, it kinda died down. And now we are only intimate like. Maybe once a month (for reference my bf is autistic and I have some sensory stuff) and neither of us have a problem with it.
When its mutual, its not love bombing, its being in love. When its one sided and makes the other person not feel good, yet it continues to be done, its love bombing. Does that make any sense??? (Sorry if I explained bad)
okay this one's been marinating for a while and??? it kind of makes sense ig?????? i think my worry abt it comes from a fear of miscommunication
like obviously i wouldn't do it to make someone feel bad but also i'm scared someone would think that's why i'm doing it.
especially since it might not be a mutual thing! i am very much a hopeless romantic and i fear i would be very clingy for a long time even if the other person isnt clingy at all. if that makes sense????
idk it just. worries me. bc i love many things very much but my future partner especially
#sorry if this is lowkey incomprehensible#radio static that is unintentionally incomprehensible#hmm am i going to make that a tag#for jumbled cecil feelings

Bye tsumihoroboshi
thats all for tsumihoroboshi chapter ZAMN. omfg i did cry i cant lie at that big battle on the rooftop i did i did i did.. It just hits a litte close to home friendship and all that... I love my friends so mach i get everything theyre feeling u know... AND the delusions of rena what a crazy writing style i dont think ill get over it like ever. urgh. Well the final tip almost wanted me to consider that "ooh maybe she was right!" but honestly my takeaways from it are juts 1. disaster happens regardless no matter how the events go otherwise 2. rika was murdered? Thats pretty weird 3. BUT theres hope liek she said BECAUSE: keiichi rememberd something from "another world" (i know a timeloop when i see one. its def a timeloop. Hells yeah) 4. the scrapbooks do hvae some evil spell or something takano i am onto you its weird anyway she shows up at such times and all.. Idk if shes the #MAIN VILLAIN DEMON OMG but shes Something.
Rena i love you thank you for solidifying your place as my favorite good time. argh every chapter so far is better than the one before it goes for this one too it does it does... Which is amazing implications for next ones... Lets hope they keep it up...
And keiichi i cant lie i do love you. I love you i love you i love you. Ughh. If i was still 16 hed have a big chance at going to that kinlist. But hes so gross so i wouldnt actually have added him then either!!! im unable to kin these days because EVERY GOOD CHARACTER EVER has Some Traits I Can Relate To Myself becuase i dont know something something human emotion something i am just like everyone else and everyone is just like me in the end and i love it. But yeah keiichi love the guy hes so #Power of Friendship #Protagonist. Im mentioning this cos i loved the girls from the start and still do but keiichi had to prove himself a little...
Yeah im curious about satoko now too i dont think i paid her enough mind i sort of ended up assuming shes #Normal but just super close to rika obviously but that one line about her being older. I couldnt tell yet if its Haha satokos body is older and rikas being funny! OR Omg satoko some immortal or something too woww! but yeah. I wouldnt think she is it doesnt seem that way at all BUT u never know w this fuckass series..ou ou ou ou ou
Mion i love you the girl that you are. Rena you are everything and more. Rika how have you managed to stay mysterious ive been here for like over 30 hours total for sure maybe even 40. But hmm
if its a timeloop i still cant tell what its about. id say rikas in charge (wants to keep giving this world a chance) n takano is with the antagonistic forces But how does it work exactly? If rikas the one "looping the time" directly it doesnt really compute unless she can do it from the afterlife. I dont konw.
And Omfg i hate this series because i STILL believe satoshi will show up one day. Even though it seems impossible now. But i liked him n shion so much dude i love shion so satoshi HAS TO come back for her. Urgh urgh urgh
But yeah i fr didnt think keiichi would be able to break renas delusion even for such a long moment But he pulled it off. Shes really cool i love her. I love her i love her i love her. UGHHH. Everything and more. and i said it alr but ill say it again the portrayal of her delusional state is SO personal to me i get her i get her i DO so good... Urghh. Ok. Thank u charhigurashi6 i have to check how many games the bundle i bought still has hmm
ok these 3 i own but havent installed lets see The first one here is um well i dont know that girl i havent seen her which is concerning! I feel like i mightve seen a sprite (in the og style that i read with) but thats kinda it. I recall seeing a name somewhere too shes a furude i think but not too sure Im always frustrated when i see a spoiler like that but then it never makes me any more knowledgeable about anything so so far its fine #LOL. proably has to do with the demon stuff tho...
takano in the middle one right takano you are so weird and offputting. Damn maybe she IS the big bad afterall
last one aww rika But yeah thats. I dont know its at least 5 hrs each but i think i spent like 10+ hrs on meakashi so it could possibly be up to like what. 15 even 20? per game. At least 15 hours left though.. Idt theres anything outside of the bundle after this its either higu anime time or umineko time ill see what kinda time i have then (i can probably watch the anime while multitasking i dont really care so much but umineko i want to be TUNED. IN.)
yay exciting ok thank u charhigurashi6 best chapter so far loved it love u rena love u everyone ok gn

Book 2: How to Be a Pirate
Alvin the Poor-but-Honest farmer is the best twist villain I’ve ever seen because it’s so obvious from the start and yet the reveal is not without its place because it’s so funny. shoutout to Alvin the Treacherous who is honestly still probably one of the most upstanding and well-meaning men to have that horrendous French handlebar and the beard like a post-it flag. he’s a cannibal also
Hiccup is the true heir to Grimbeard the Ghastly, and I think that beyond just considering them as kids books where lots of crazy things happen it’s worth thinking about how Fate factors into the story. she’s mentioned by name in this one, proper noun and everything, and it’s something I’m pretty sure becomes more prominent going forward. but even for all the one-in-a-million chances and coincidences, it all feels earned somehow. I love these books.
10/10
no favorite quotes this time but instead something that really captured me was a simple sketch of two lobster claws. it wasn’t even a full-page spread, but still it caught my eye and gave me such a powerful feeling, adjacent to nostalgia but one I lack a word for. I saw the claws and knew, almost instinctively, that there was something deep in the lore of this series connected to lobster claws. I don’t remember the details at all, only that I once did and soon will again. I hate to say it because it’s a trendy (and consequently kinda lame and diluted) word right now but it feels like yearning. something deep in the cobwebs of my brain is trying to tell me something, to connect a neural pathway that’s no longer there. it’s stretching for something just out of reach. it’s a strange, distorted memory of love, the ghost of knowledge long forgotten, but a feeling not yet lost. I can’t wait to learn it all over again.
also hiccup writes in a book “if lost please return to: Hiccup H. Haddock III, Isle of Berk, The Lay Wastes, Northern Barbaria, Planet Earth, The Universe, Endless Space” which. yeah that’s definitely his address I suppose
(mini journal for the how to train your dragon book series because why not)
Book 1: How to Train Your Dragon
Hiccup is the only one in his tribe who can talk to dragons, because it’s forbidden and also knowledge is not the realm of vikings. he is a nerd and a loser and the world lets him know that. but in the end, he is the underdog hero, as an unprecedented problem requires a new way of going about things. it’s far from the only underdog story for kids, but it’s the one I grew up with, and it’s really well executed.
it’s already clear that this series has had a major impact on my creative style. everyone is sarcastic or rude and the dragons especially are all majorly stuck up BITCHES. and it’s all delightfully written, full of whimsy, and has such unserious yet consistent worldbuilding and I love it. the characters pride themselves on not knowing how to read and they’re named shit like Snotlout Snotface, Dogsbreath the Duhbrain, Clueless, and (no joke) Stoick the Vast, O Hear His Name and Tremble, Ugh, Ugh. more of a title, but still iconic. this book is quite evidently for kids, but like another fantasy Britain-adjacent kid’s series I know it matures going forward. I’m so glad to have grown up with this series.
10/10
favorite quotes:
…even a murderous carnivore like myself will be a supper for worms one day. We’re all snatching precious moments from the peaceful moments from the jaws of time…
NO POOING IN THE KITCHEN!!
#httyd books#oh my god I love these books#yes I’ve read two books in two days they barely take any time at all#also because I’m being So Very Normal about this series I’m gonna tear through them obv#probably reading the next one tomorrow can’t wait for Kamikaze she’s the goat

“Woah, dude, your room is awesome. Awe, you have all the good movies. I haven’t seen The Jungle Book in forever!”
“Peter, look!” You waved him over to the window, ignoring his astonishment for the paradise Steve had created for you. Peter stood there dumbly for a moment before walking over to the window beside your bed.
You heard the loud whirring of helicopter spinning blades echoing through the room even with the window closed. It was landing in the field behind the manor and you were questioning why Steve was making such a grand entrance today. You’d been stuck in this house for three weeks now and nothing this exciting had happened yet, “Who’s helicopter is that?” You looked back at Peter who’d crossed his arm nervously.
“Uhm … probably … maybe-” You scoffed, before looking back at the view. The helicopter was a sleek, black color and, as you narrowed, your eyes could make out some words written in gold.
“Stuh …. Stark …. Industries. Stark Industries,” You were calm as you took in the info before the realization hit you, “Stark Industries! Is Tony Stark here? Holy …. pancakes.”
Peter smiled, seemingly amused by your excitement, “Pancakes?”
“Steve doesn’t like it when I-” You stopped yourself from explaining, realizing there was a bigger situation at hand, “We have to go check things out. Get a closer look!”
“No way,” Peter shook his head, “I’m here to make sure you stay in this room.”
You rolled your eyes, “So Tony Stark must be here then, right?”
“I can neither confirm nor deny that,” Peter pressed his lips together like he was struggling to hold in all the secrets he knew.
“How the hell does Steve know Tony Stark? Stark is dirty too? I should’ve known … flipping rich people.”
“Flipping?”
You took a step toward him and despite the fact you were wearing a pair of fairy wings, he still seemed intimidated by you, “What do you want, huh? A raise?”
“Uhm … I don’t think you can do that … can you?”
“Of course I can. Steve is wrapped around my finger.”
Peter cocked an eyebrow, “But he’s Steve Rogers …”
“Look around this room for goodness sake! He does anything I want. If I tell him all about how you’re a great worker, how you’re a good friend to me, he’ll surely be appreciative. Might even give you a promotion and maybe you won't have to play babysitter anymore.”
He considers it just for a moment, “If he does anything you want then why are you locked in this house?”
“Fine, fine, so I don’t have complete control but I have some. I could be helpful to you in the future!”
“Y/N, if something went wrong he’d probably chop me up into little pieces and send them to my Aunt. Or he’d chop up my aunt and make me watch … depends on the kinda mood he’s in.”
You stared back at him, trying not to let the look on your face falter, “ … I’ll give you my movie collection?”
“I’m sorry but-”
“It’s my birthday soon?”
“I can’t,” Peter stated, sighing, “I’ve got pressure on me right now, and things have to go right tonight. It’s like a huge deal. I never get to go to stuff and the party is-” He stopped his rambling when he realized he’d said too much.
“Party?” Peter opened his mouth and closed it again. He turned away from you, eyes wide, and made his way to the door. Of course, you chased after him, placing yourself between him and the door, “What party?”
“Please move,” Peter begged, “I really can’t talk about it.”
“I won’t say anything, I promise!” You were the one begging now, “He doesn’t tell me anything at all. Can you imagine how I’m feeling? I’ll do everything you say, I won’t try anything, I just want to know what's going on …. please?”
“Steve can’t know,” You nodded eagerly and he finally gave in, probably because of your spectacular puppy dog eyes, “Tony Stark is having a party tonight, that’s where Steve’s going, and most of us are going to. A pretty important deal is happening.”
“Why doesn’t Steve want me to go?” You frowned a bit.
“I don’t think he wants anybody to know about you, to keep you safe, that kind of thing.”
“Right,” You nodded, “Even if I go crazy while he does that.”
Peter looked sympathetic, “I’m sorry.”
“I know this thing with me and Steve is not ordinary but is it crazy of me to not want to be a secret? Even after everything …”
You could tell Peter wasn’t expecting a deep question nor did he expect you’d confide in him, “I don’t think so,” Peter was trying to understand, you could see it in his eyes. He rubbed the back of his neck as if he wasn’t sure, “Obviously … you - uhm - care about him. I wouldn’t want to be the secret of someone I care about.”
He was taken aback when you suddenly hugged him. Unsure if he could hug you back, he awkwardly patted your shoulder which made you giggle, “Can I paint your nails?”
“What? No.”
“I have colors that aren’t girly.” “Hmm … can you do cool stuff like the shapes and sparkles?”
“Of course,” You smiled, “Step into my salon.”
+
“I didn’t get my sticker this week,” You bounced back from your toes to your heels, watching Steve as he got ready in his closet. He was fixing his tie in the mirror, making sure it was absolutely perfect, along with the rest of the look. Freshly trimmed beard and an aftershave that smells intoxicating. He smelt like money and looked like it too. That’s probably exactly how you would want to look in front of Tony Stark.
“You skipped dinner two days in a row, doll.”
You were frowning but it wasn’t like he was focused on you anyways, “But I did better after that,” You whined.
“I know, baby, you can try again next week.”
“Maybe if you were here then I wouldn’t have missed it,” You whispered, playing with your fingernails, “But I’m stuck here and you get to go out and have your fun.”
“Have my fun?” He questioned, buttoning up his jacket.
“You get home so late … I’m sure you go to your clubs, booze it up and talk to girls.”
He chuckled a bit, “You think I’m flirting with other women?”
“I don’t think, I know,” You leaned against the doorway, “You’re a guy, aren’t you? That’s what you do.”
He finally turned to you, and you felt your breath hitch in your throat. He was as handsome as ever, like a movie star, “Doll, my days are long because I’m traveling from here to the city every day. I want to fall asleep and wake up with you. There isn’t and never will be anyone who I’d rather do that with.”
As he came closer, you knew he was going to lift you into his arms. Ever since he took you from the club and you sobbed into his shoulders, you’d find solace in his arms. Even if his hands were causing your hurting, they still felt warm and loving, “You don’t mean that,” You whispered, muffled against his shoulder.
“What can I do to prove it to you?”
“Take me with you,” You said and you felt him stiffen.
“It’s not safe,” He tried to explain.
“Are you embarrassed by me?”
“No, no,” He rushed out, carrying you out of the closet and into the bedroom. “Why would you even ask that?”
“Because of what I do, what I used to do-”
“No, Y/N. I’ve never felt that way,” His tone was more concerned that it ever had been before, “Look at me, please?”
Begrudgingly, you lifted your head. You hated that you were feeling jealous or inadequate, “You took care of yourself all these years and I know you still can,” He continued, “Let me protect you now.”
“I’m not a baby.”
Steve could sense the small bit of pride still left in you and decided not to push you on it anymore, “Could’ve fooled me,” Steve smiled slightly, bouncing you in his arms, “Let me tuck you in, grumpy.”
“The sun just set!”
“It wasn’t actually a request,” He was already carrying you away.
“Wait, wait, wait,” You resisted, “Can I sleep in here? I’ll go to sleep right away, I promise.”Steve stopped, thinking it over for a moment, “I like that the … sheets smell like you, Daddy,” You added, knowing that was what he wanted to hear. It wasn’t fully a lie but you had other motives for not wanting to go back to your room. For one, your room locked from the outside and his didn’t. Besides that, you were almost sure that one of your stuffed bears had a camera inside its eye.
Steve tucked you into his california king-sized bed that night and watched you fall asleep until it was time for him to go. You felt the kiss he pressed to your forehead and, for a brief moment, you thought about changing your plans.
That feeling didn’t last long.
+
For such an expensive car, you thought your ride would be a lot smoother and much more comfortable. Turns out, hiding in any trunk, no matter how luxurious, behind big boxes of unknown items, was not a pleasant experience. An hour into the drive, you finally decided that you’d had enough and you needed to get the feeling back into your limbs. Besides that, you needed to check and make sure that your hair and makeup stayed in place.
When you climbed over the seat from the trunk to the backseat, the car instantly swerved before the driver corrected its path, “Y/N, holy shit!” Peter shouted, obviously frightened out of his mind but you were focused on making sure all the layers of your dress made it safely back into their places, “What the fuck? What the actual fuck?”
“Oh, calm down,” You said, looking at him through the rearview, “Just keep driving.”
“Are you out of your mind? If Steve sees you he’s going flip his shit!”
“Peter, you okay in there, kid?” You heard Bucky’s staticky voice over Peter’s radio. The younger man picked it up and answered, his eyes still focused on you.
You placed a finger over your lips and Peter gave you a death stare, “Yeah, I’m fine … I thought I saw a squirrel.”
A caravan of three cars surrounded Steve’s car as they all drove down this dark, winding road that you assumed would lead to Tony Stark’s mansion, “Did you not comprehend a single word I said?” Peter shouted, “Do you want me to get killed?”
“This is my problem,” You said, “Steve will know that you had nothing to do with it, I promise. But tonight is going to go super well so it won’t even matter. Steve is going to see me and realize he’s crazy not to show me off and then we’re going to go to the party and I’m going to charm everyone with my personality which is going to make him a ton of friends and even more money. Everyone wins.”
Peter was shaking his head the entire time as he listened to your rambling, “Y/N, I understand that you want to be more to Steve and you don’t want to be in the dark but this isn’t the way! This isn’t some charity event or some art gala, these are dangerous people.”
“But Tony Stark-”
“Is as dirty as it gets,” Your heart began to race a bit, “And Steve cannot just let everyone know his biggest weakness, even if they are his allies.”
His biggest weakness.
Suddenly, your mind was racing with thoughts of moments with Steve. Meeting him, going on your first dates, the hotel meetings, and the passionate kisses that always left you feeling like he felt more about you than he admitted. You never saw yourself as his weakness.
I want to fall asleep and wake up next to you.
When you snapped out of your trance, Peter had his walkie-talkie pressed to his chin, “Guys, uhm, we have a stowaway,” You slumped back in your seat, and when the car eventually came to a stop, you wished you were still tucked away in Steve’s bed. You think Peter was calling your name, probably apologizing and telling you how he had to follow orders but, honestly, you had tuned him out, “I-I don’t know …. I thought I checked everything …”
Your dress was adorable too, covered in pastels, while still remaining elegant. You imagined Steve's heart with flutter at the sight of you, instead, he was fuming. He was always so stoic, so full of composure, that the change frightened you. He grabbed you roughly by your upper arm, pulling you from the backseat, and slamming the door shut. Pressed against the car, you looked into those blue-green eyes that were anything except nice.
“I didn’t mean to for all this,” Was all you could muster up the courage to say, “I just wanted to come with you-”
He shushed you before you got your words out, “We’ll talk about it later.”
You wished he would just yell at you now. He could bend you over right now and you’d prefer that over his silence and the obvious disappointment in his tone, “Later? But-” He pulled you away from the car and you stumbled in your heels as he pulled you along the dark road.
He brought you towards the last car in the caravan and Sam stepped out from behind it, closing the trunk, before handing something shiny to Steve, “What are you doing?” You asked shakily, the cold wind of the night blowing your dress.
“Turn around, face the car,” He ordered you and you feared whatever punishment you were about to receive would be worse if you disobeyed him. Slowly, you turned around and he wasted no time grabbing your wrist. You heard the metal click of handcuffs as they tightened around your wrist. You felt his strong hands on your waist and, as he lifted your dress, you assumed the worst. Your panties slipped down and as Steve lowered himself with them.
“Steve, please talk to me?”
To your surprise, as you stepped out of your underwear, you felt the click of metal around your ankles. When he stood back up, he grabbed your arm again, pulling you back so you were pressed against his chest, “Daddy will deal with you later,” His breath against your ear sent shivers down your spine, “Don’t worry, doll … open your mouth.”
“If you just let me explain-”
You weren’t sure why you even wanted to. He left your brain scrambled and wondering why you even did the things that you did.
“I won’t ask you again.”
Your lips parted and you realized he was forcing your panties into your mouth. The next thing that you knew, you were lying in the back seat of that car, your wrist hogtied to your ankles. And you thought sitting in the trunk would be uncomfortable. You were struggling and calling out for him and, as you expected, you were ignored.
“Get her back as fast as you can. I’ll keep things short with Stark,” Were the last words you heard before the door shut close and all your screaming was muffled.
+
You weren’t sure at which point you’d fallen asleep. As you laid there tied up, you thought a lot about him since there was nothing else to think about. You weren’t sure how he could love you and be so cruel at the same time.
That next morning, you awoke to sore limbs and makeup staining your pillow. Even though the car ride back was hell, you knew your punishment wasn’t over. You debated even getting out of bed, knowing what was to come.
You finally mustered the energy to clean yourself up, washing your face, and brushing your teeth. When you stepped back into your room, you were taken aback by what was sitting in the middle of your room. A giant, life-size brown bear was happily perched before your bed, holding balloons and a Tiffany’s gift bag.
It was exactly the opposite of what you were expecting today. You approached it cautiously, decided to sit and open up the present. You handled the bag carefully, finding an elegant white card sitting inside.
For my favorite girl on her birthday.
Love, Daddy.
You sighed, knowing he probably picked all of this out before you betrayed him and probably ruined any sort of trust he had between you. You hadn’t even realized it was your birthday which was probably due to the fact that you had no phone or any contact with the outside world. There was also a jewelry box inside, a gorgeous, rose-gold tennis bracelet inside.
As you snapped it around your wrist, covering your bruises, you promised not to ask how much it cost. It would probably make you feel even worse about yesterday.
You finished getting dressed, deciding to head downstairs for breakfast. You found Steve sitting at a table out by the pool, reading through a newspaper like a grandpa. It seemed like he was expecting you because there were pancakes and eggs waiting on the table, “Morning,” You greeted awkwardly.
“Good morning, doll. Happy Birthday,” He responded, his eyes still focused on the newspaper.
“Thanks,” Taking a seat in front of him, you instantly moved to grab the syrup, but the rings on his finger caught your attention. Below, you could see his knuckles were red and purple, bruised like he’d been punching something … or someone. “Your hands …”
He folded his newspaper, taking a look at them himself. It didn’t seem to faze him as he folded them on his stomach, leaning back in his chair, “Your wrist,” He changed the subject and you wondered if he was amused by the fear in your eyes, “Do you like my gift?”
“Yeah, it’s beautiful, I love it … thank you,” Your mind was elsewhere, “What happened to your hands? Is that from last night?”
“Last night is a blur. I was so angry after your little stunt, I had to have a few drinks to even get through the rest of the night.”
“Really?” You tried to hold in your scoff, “You seem very chipper today.”
“Only because I get to see your beautiful face,” He countered, smirking.
Your eyes narrowed at him, “What did you do?”
“That’s a broad question-”
“Did you hurt him?”
“Him?” Steve raised an eyebrow, “You mean Peter? I thought about it … I’m still thinking about it actually. If he was smarter, yesterday would have never happened but you must’ve been pretty convincing. Poor kid, he probably thought you liked him.”
“None of it was his fault! I-I was just being stupid, I was using him and he was just trying to be a good guy. Steve, please.”
“If I did, you would probably start to actually listen. You’d never try one of those crazy stunts ever again-”
“I will listen! No more stunts, I’ll be an angel from now on,” You stood up from your chair, moving around the table, “I know you’re just trying to protect me. Peter tried to tell me that and I should’ve listened.” You grabbed a hold of his hand, squeezing it tightly.
“That’s all I want,” He added sincerely and you nodded.
“I’ll pinky promise,” With your other hand, you held out your pinky. You thought Peter would be your way out but, here you were, begging to stay in order to keep him alive. Your pinkies wrapped around each other and you climbed into his lap. You kissed the sides of his mouth before kissing his lips.
“Soon, we’ll take a trip together, I know you’re itching to get away.”
“Thank you, thank you, thank you,” You kissed his lips again, “Your hands … what actually happened?”
“Punching bag,” He easily explained although you were expecting a tale of horror. Holding his hand, you brought his fist to your lips, kissing them gently, “That probably wouldn’t have happened a year ago … I think you make me more gentle.”
“That’s a lot of pressure, don’t you think? Turning a beast into a prince.”
“For some reason, I have faith in you.”
+
“Peter!” You perked up as soon as he entered the living room, not realizing how grateful to see that he was still in one piece. Sam, Bucky, and Steve seemed to exchange confused glances from their places on the couch.
Peter seemed baffled as well, “Am I in trouble or something?”
“No, we’re about to watch Coco. Wanna join?”
“There’s popcorn,” Sam added, stuffing his face.
“And cookies,” Bucky chimed in.
Peter smiled, unsure, as he looked to Steve for permission, “Join us, son.”
“Awesome,” Peter clapped, making his way over to the couch, “This one always makes me cry.”
“Y/N, I thought you said this one wasn’t sad,” Bucky eyed you. You shrugged, snuggling yourself further into Steve’s side. You tried to hide a mischievous smile and act like you weren’t hoping to see three grown men tear up from a Disney movie.
“Okay, press play,” You tapped Steve’s chest and he raised the remote.
“Wait,” Steve paused, “Are all three of your nails painted?”

Shy Baby Girl
Title: Shy Baby Girl
Requested? Yes.
Plot: Cato noticing you during practice sessions and he starts flirting with you and teasing you, but slowly falls for your timid and kind nature, and then the night before the games he confesses and you spend the night together.
Warnings: I am attempting to write smut after so long of not writing anything, so i will be attempting to write a detailed smut scene :) (so please be nice to me, I’m so worried about posting this for some reason)
Word count: 3013 (I might have went a little overboard, but I haven’t written in a while, so enjoy a longer story :) )
---***---
You didn’t expect to get drafted for the Games any time soon, and when you were, your whole family was shocked, and your older sister, who actually thought she was going to be the one going in was ready to volunteer, but your dad stopped her, as he believed that you could get through it. You were actually fine with going into the Games, as you had accepted this as your life, and you knew your time was coming, and in the end you guessed it’s better rather sooner than later. But one thing worried you the most, and that was the fact that you hated confrontations, and would much rather be making friends in life, even though you knew that was kinda impossible considering the way the world was now. You were prepared to fight for your life and to win in the Games, but a big part of you dreamed of a day when you didn’t need to fight to survive. You didn’t expect anything going into the whole process, but you were planning on keeping to yourself and not responding to any provocations.
At first, everything was fine, you were almost always training, to make sure you were as ready as possible, but whenever someone needed help, you were there to show them a move or hold their punching bag steady so they could practice accuracy. And that was how you actually caught the attention of Cato, a blonde, blue eyed guy, who ended up being intrigued by the quiet, timid girl, who greeted everyone with a smile. He watched you for a while, trying to pinpoint what it was about you that has him so drawn in, and he decided one day that he was gonna approach you, and teach you the best stance for a fight, considering this his moment to throw in some flirting in the mix. The faint blush that spread across your cheeks every time you saw him, well, it has him hooked. Watching you from afar was nothing compared to being up close and personal, and your shy smile that would grace your lips at his compliments was becoming the highlight of his day. “I see you at the gym every day, and you still struggle with the basics. If I didn’t know better I’d say you were scared.“ He said one day when he noticed that you were not using the stance that he had taught you and as he spoke, he let his hand “accidentally“ brush against yours, his eyes searching for that rosy tint that he felt was the shade only present on your cheeks and couldn’t be found anywhere else in the world.
You brushed him off, already used to his teasing, saying how you were not scared and if he needed you to prove it, he is free to challenge you to a sparing match. Cato smiled softly, a feature you had grown to like, and you lowered your gaze to hide your own smile that was curving your lips. But of course, Cato caught that and while he swore his heart was beating faster seeing it, he had to default to teasing you about how you were still not comfortable with him, despite knowing each other for a while now. The reason why he would always tease you and playfully flirt with you (although you were oblivious to that one) was because he was not really yet ready to confess his feelings to you. Pretty odd huh? A guy like him, who was training to fight for his life in the Hunger Games, basically a show for the rich to watch children get killed off one by one, until there is only one winner, afraid of what a girl thought about him.
Although he didn’t know how, he knew that he had to tell you abut how he felt, hoping that in case you felt the same, he could count on your alliance, and at the end he would let you come out on top, or would hopefully be able to convince the government to let you both win and stay together. And he had his mind set on telling you the night before the games. The fact that you were so timid and at the same time so fierce and powerful made Cato’s head spin. There was just someting about you, someting in your eyes that showed that despite the world crumbling around you, your innocence was someting intact that could not be destroyed and he wanted to protect that so much, he wanted to make sure you are not exposed to anything that could damage that, no matter the fact that you would have to fight for your life, he hoped you would let him stick by your side and protect you.
Just like you were unaware of his flirting and the fact that he felt the same way for you as you did for him, you wanted to tell him how you felt, but you just couldn’t. There were a few times that you were certain that you were going to tell him about your feelings, but the moment you would see him, the way his sky blue eyes bore into yours and how they would light up when he smiles or develop their signature mischievous glint when he was teasing you, and all that courage that you built flied out of the window. Until tonight that is. You were currently sitting in a quiet fort that Cato had built a bit further away from the others and invited you, because he needed to tell you something, your eyes wide, lips slightly parted, and eyebrows raised, trying to process what he had just told you. Cato had just informed you about his feelings and it made you feel giddy and excited, but also gave you this newfound confidence, right after he waved his hand in front of your face, as you had been silent for far too long for his liking after he just spilled his heart out to you.
Suddenly this new rush of confidence took over your body and before you knew what you were doing, you surged forward and pressed your lips against his, and this time it was Cato’s turn to be taken off guard and surprised. For a moment or two you just stayed like that, neither of you moving your lips, but just feeling them pressed one against the other, getting familiarised with their shape and soft feeling. Soon however, Cato started moving his lips, to which you followed suit, and the salty taste of todays lunch mixed together in your mouths, as Cato decided to lick your bottom lip, and then slightly nibble it after you didn’t get the hint, causing you to slightly gasp, and Cato took the opportunity to slide his tongue in your mouth. You were filled with complete bliss as your tongues fought for dominance, that you just let yourself fall back, with Cato hovering over you, his hand on the middle of your back guiding you into the pillows he had placed for you guys to lay on. Neither one of you expected this turn of events, and you figured you would just talk and fall asleep there, but both of you were slightly worried about tomorrow, so you decided in that moment that you were gonna fall victimes to your feelings and enjoy your time together.
As the two of you continued kissing, you felt like your hands had a mind of their own as they glided up and down Cato’s toned back muscles and his arms, one of your hands finding their way to the short hairs on the back of his neck, as you let your fingers tangle with them and even lightly tug on them, earing a low groan from Cato, which you happily swallowed. But soon it was your turn to express your pleasure, as you felt his warm hand get in contact with your cold skin, as he slipped his hand under your shirt, soothing your waist, before reaching up and cupping one of your breasts. You moaned just as your lips parted, damn lungs and their need for air. “Even though we are far enough away from the others, we’re gonna need to manage our volume baby, you never know who might be lurking, okay?“ Cato said as he looked deep into your eyes, his hand still on your breast, squeezing it after getting confirmation from you through a nod, causing you to gasp, and Cato to go right back to attacking your lips with his own.
You felt his manhood harden against your leg as you went on, kissing and removing the top halves of your clothes. As soon as he reached around to your back to unhook your bra, you felt your nipples instantly harden as the cold air hit them, but what got you more worked up was Cato blowing on them slightly, before taking one of them in his mouth, while his fingers pinched the other. Your back arched off the pillows, and you felt your wetness pool in your core, with each flick of his tongue on your nipple. Cato sucked in a sharp beath as your hand found its way to his clothed dick, and you began to palm him, causing him to groan lowly as he attached his lips to your neck, and sucked on that sweet spot that had you seeing stars, making sure to leave a big, purple mark. After he was satisfied with his work, he kissed the spot he had been sucking on and looked at your hooded eyes, with his own getting darker and filled with even more lust.
He wanted to see your face as his hand reached into your pants, and started rubbing circles around your clit, causing a moan slightly louder than you had intended to escape your lips. Cato quickly muffled it with his own lips, whispering into your ear that you needed to be a bit more quiet, but still continuing his assault on your core with his fingers. You bit your lip, and you could tell he could feel how wet you were and how aroused he was making you, just as you were making him (in his own words, you were driving him crazy). Without warning, his hand slipped into your panties and you threw your head back at the pleasure his fingers were giving you. “C-Cato, ple-ease...“ You wanted to say more, but your words got stuck in your throat when two of his fingers entered your pussy. You grabbed his wrist with both hands, and bucked your hips to meet his thrusting fingers, as Cato watched your face contorting in pleasure, your moans being music to his ears, and thinking in a moment how did he get so lucky to have you feeling the same way about him as he did about you.
But hearing your cracked voice begging him for something (he knew exactly what) his fingers stopped and he removed his hand from your pants, causing you to whine from the lack of contact. Cato smirked as he licked his fingers, tasing your juices, that melted over his tongue like honey, before placing his fingers into your mouth, allowing you to taste the mix of yourself and his spit. His smirk grew into a grin as you began to fumble with the opening on his pants, desperate to feel him inside you. He allowed you to push him on his back and climb on top of him, and after removing his pants and boxers, letting his erection spring free, you got rid of your own bottoms, throwing them both to the side, and began tracing a line from Cato’s lips, down his chest and stomach, all the way to his manhood, finally getting to have your ears blessed with his breathless moans and groans as you took his manhood in your hands and licked a long stripe from his balls to the leaking tip, keeping eye contact with him, seeing his eyes flitter closed at the sensation.
You waste no time taking him into your mouth, earning you a gutteral moan from Cato, to which you hummed, satisfied that he was now the one to have to manage his volume, and the vibrations your hum caused around his dick make him place one of his hands on his mouth at to try to supress, even a little bit, announcing to the rest of the people getting ready for the Games tomorrow the pure bliss that you were making him feel, while his other hand found it’s way to get tangled into your hair, not really forcing your head to move, just resting there, only slightly tugging on your hair when a wave of pleasure was higher than the previous ones, which he would only learn to both enjoy and regret, because that earned him you taking him into your mouth completely, so much that he could feel the back of your throat, along with the vibrations of your moan, and he could have sworn he was about to cum in seconds. When he felt truly close, he tugged on your hair a bit harder, and you got the hint, taking him out of your mouth, and the sight of your flushed cheeks, and a string of spit still connecting your plump lips to his dick was a beautiful sight to him.
He beckoned you to come towards him, and he could taste himself as you kissed him, just like how he had made you taste your juices of his fingers. “How about you ride daddy now, hmm baby, what do you say?“ His low voice had shivers running down your spine, and you actually couldn’t wait to feel him inside you, so you positioned yourself and without any warning, you slammed hard on his dick, and it had both of you practically choking out moans from the back of your throats, getting used to now being connected into one before you started moving your hips up and down, Cato raising his pelvis to match whatever rythm you were leading him in, and despite starting off slow, soon you were placing your hands on his chest, your pace getting quicker and each time you would sink deeper onto him as your thrusts would meet in the middle. You were both no longer that concerned with managing the volume of your voice, as you didn’t really care if someone heard you, pure extasy flowing through you with each thrust.
Wanting to tease him, you clenched your inner walls around his dick a few times, even past him telling you that if you continue doing that, he would cum sooner than he wants to. After you did it again, Cato had had enough, quickly rolling both of you over, as you squealed, and ordering you to get on your knees. You did so, even though you prefered watching his muscled torso and arms, shining with sweat, but the mix of pleasure, letting Cato take the lead, and the chance of you getting caught by someone in your heated session, it made it all so much more fun for you. Your eyes almost rolled to the back of your head as Cato accompanied his dick entering your pussy with his hand slapping your ass, and the tingling sensation that followed was only adding to the pleasure, which he knew, and so he added a few more slaps as he fucked you fast and hard, going balls deep inside you with every thrust, and ever plea you made for him to slow down a bit were falling on deaf ears. “I can’t hear you baby. Are you saying to go faster? Sure I can do that.“
He almost had you screaming with the pleasure he was giving you and as you felt the tingles in your lower stomach, you knew it was only a matter of time before you came undone. As soon as Cato received verbal confirmation that you were close to your orgasm, his hand reached around and found your clit, rubbing it fast, and this time your were truly seeing stars as your body began to shake, and convulse, and you came on Cato’s dick, harder than you had ever cum before. It was gonna take you several minutes to recover from that, you were sure of it. And the sound of your moan as you came, accompanied by your pussy walls clenching around him, Cato knew he was close too. He pulled out of your pussy, you already missing the contact, and came on your ass, and then collapsed next to you, after using a napkin to clean both of you. He gathered you in his arms and used a blanked he had brought to cover your naked bodies, and you both waited until your breating settled down.
You both felt amazing and you knew this was not gonna be the last time you would have sex with Cato, something in your gut convincing you of it, especially after he offered you a round two as you both came down. At first it had you giggling, thinking there was no way to top what you had just experienced, but seeing the tent his dick made in the blanket, you knew he wasn’t joking and that you were not yet done with each other. That blissful night before the Games had you both cumming multiple times, each one stronger than the previous one, and before letting exaustion take over you and your eyes flutter closed, taking you off to the realm of sleep, both of you agreed to stick together no matter what and find a way to survive together, despite all odds, and prove that you were stronger together. You had found each other in this world of madness and you were not gonna take that for granted, Cato was yours, you were his and no matter what, you were sure that he will have your back just as much as you’ll have his.

Pairings: Natasha Romanoff x fem!reader
Request:
@lostaurorax said:
hii!! i love ur writing i was wondering if u could write a natasha x reader fic were reader is part of the guardians of the galaxy and they come to the compound and natasha is just starstruck but reader plays kinda hard to get and then just a bunch of fluff !
Word count: 2,138
A/n: notes at the end
Warnings: crash, mentions of explosion, swearing, space mission, soft!nat, quill’s a jerk
Part 1, Part 2, Part 3
Your departure from Earth made its one-year mark.
Natasha hasn’t felt like herself since you left. She’s known you for a few months but it felt like ages, it felt like she knew everything about you from the amount of time you spent together.
It’s not like you had a choice. The guardians needed you and of course you’re gonna be there for them too. They saved your ass countless of time and, well, they’re your family.
“Shit!”
Natasha frowns, leaning forward a bit from her sitting position. “What’s wrong?”
You fail to respond back. You curse once more in realization that you had no more ammo left in your guns, using your fire conjuring abilities is risky in this situation too, given on what type of creatures you're fighting.
Rocket is still determined to fight but you know he’s not gonna make it alive so you pick him up and sprint to your ship.
“I had it under control!” The raccoon yells.
“You’re kidding, right? The others already left!” You boom, fiddling with the buttons and levers of the ship to try and start it. The rattling of the monsters behind getting you frazzled. “Fucking-”
“Out of the way before you burn the controls, I got it.”
You go to the back part of the ship to reload all your weapons. You sigh in relief when Rocket managed to start the ship.
The mission went horribly wrong. People died and you were outnumbered. You almost set Groot on fire because of how overwhelmed you were, the fact that Quill was expressing how pissed he was at you didn’t help. Usually the team had every mission handled and sorted. You weren’t used to losing.
And you forgot Natasha is still connected to the call.
She just listens further. It's more silent than earlier so she figured you got away from whatever happened, but she's ready to try and help whatever it takes even though she's a thousand miles away.
“Quill’s not responding,” you frown, frantically searching the back of the ship for the backup weapons. “He must’ve turned his comms off. Can you contact the other ship there?”
“No, offline,” Rocket mumbles, more focused on getting the ship moving. “But geez, you and him have to sort things out.”
“I’m sorry-”
“Save it, we’re still being followed!” Rocket swerves in attempt to knock off the creatures - who're still actively chasing the spaceship. They could fly, and there are a lot. You couldn’t imagine anything like it.
You try your best to fight them off through the spacious hatch on top, but of course you have no match for all of them. You wish Thor was here. As far as you knew he's sorting Asgard things out with Valkyrie.
Every minute just gets worse. The flight gets unstable the more those creatures are catching up, you're surprised they're so determined to destroy both of you.
“Can you go any faster?!”
“I can’t, can I?!” Rocket's driving and pressing multiple buttons for the jump at the same time.
“Y/N,” Natasha calls out, hoping you could still hear her. “I can tell the team if you need any help-”
On your end, she just got more blasters and guns going off, orders flying between you and the raccoon.
“We need to shake them off, this ship’s not gonna handle them,” You say exasperated. “I’m gonna cause a distraction, got it? You need to get us out of here - anywhere - I don’t care how many jumps it takes!”
Rocket, as rare as it is, displays concern in his face, but he sighs and grips on the levers. “Ready when you are.”
You suck in a breath, letting out a huge burst of what seems like fire and just - heat, aiming at the creatures closest to the ship. It gets nearly all of them. The raccoon mutters a quick countdown, watching you fall unconscious from the hatch in the corner of his eye. He pushes the lever forward slowly, jumping to the one place he knows the both of you could get help.
Earth.
-
As soon as you let yourself go, Natasha loses the connection. The intensity of you using your powers like that might’ve affected it.
“God,” she mutters, pacing around her table, “Friday, you still have contact on that ship?”
“Yes, Ms. Romanoff,” the A.I responds, and for a moment, a huge explosion sounded somewhere in the forest near the compound. “...and they just landed. Would you like me to send you the exact coordinates?”
Of course Natasha doesn’t waste time to go out and find you. Thankfully Steve is around and was shaken by the sudden explosion too. It’s snowing, the forest covered with thick snow so it wouldn’t be hard to find wherever the ship crashed.
“She’ll be alright, Nat. We’ll find her.” Steve reassures.
Natasha’s breath hitches at the sight of the aircraft completely destroyed, pieces everywhere, she wasted no time to find you under all the rubble.
The unconscious raccoon isn’t hard to find, but you had it worse considering you were already out before the crash.
“Steve,” she states, walking over scraps and metal to get to you. You're sickly pale, giving Natasha the feeling that she's too late but she did feel a slight pulse. There’s blood on the side of your forehead but other than that,
“She’s freezing,” and it isn’t from the snow alone, she thought. You're colder than that. Natasha has an arm around your back and behind your knees, getting ready to carry you. “Steve, we-”
“I’ll call Bruce to get them sorted out. Try and find their stuff that’s not destroyed.” His tone is firm. He doesn’t wait for a response, gently grabbing you from her and strides back to the compound.
Natasha sighs. Almost everything she sees is unrecognizable except for a few complicated looking guns that definitely looks like Rocket’s and your bag you took on one of your dates. Biting the inside of her cheek, she opens it, sighing in relief when everything inside looked in order.
She finds a wallet-sized picture of both of you at a fair's photo booth. You always held onto it and kept it in your pocket most of the time that's why it looks worn out, probably from you holding it so much. This makes Natasha's heart ache, deciding to keep it for the meantime, carrying all your stuff that's left to the compound.
- You wake with a start. You're facing the clean white ceiling of the Avengers' med bay and you tilt your head to the side to see Natasha sleeping on a stool beside your bed with her head lulling forward and her arms are crossed. As much as you feel relieved to see her, you're confused on how you got here, how she found you. You lift your arm to gently pat the redhead awake. She sighs and goes to rub her neck. "You're cold." You smile softly, cringing at the rasp of your voice. "Didn't want you to be sore from the way you were sleeping." "I'm glad you're awake." "How long was I out?" Natasha gets up to get you a glass of water while you sit up the bed. "Twelve hours. You definitely needed the rest, everything sounded really crazy up there," she says. "Rocket's somewhere around, he left his bed the moment he got up." She hands you the glass and tucks a strand of your hair behind your ear. Feeling how cold you still are since they found you in the forest, she grabs a remote to crank the heater up a bit. You purse your lips and cross your legs, looking at her. "How'd you find us?" "Let's just say we heard the impact of the crash from here," Natasha eyes the bandages on the side of your head for a moment. "It was really lucky your ship crashed nearby, but you know I wouldn't hesitate to get on the jet just to find you. And when I did, I... I thought you were-"
Your hand immediately goes to cup her cheek, the contrast of warm and cold making Natasha relax in your touch. "I'm here now. You saved me." She returns your smile and holds onto your hand on her cheek. "I missed you." "I missed you too." "You know, I did specifically set those coordinates," Rocket says as he enters the room with Tony. "Technically I saved us." Your smile only widens and Natasha chuckles, turning to Tony to see what he has to say about your condition. "You really wore yourself out there fireball, is she still freezing cold?" He asks this to Natasha specifically and she nods. You furrow your eyebrows and turn to your fists, clenching them, only noticing now that you are freezing. "I'm gonna run a simple test and if all goes as expected, Bruce is gonna give you a shot." "Have you already got a conclusion on what happened to me?" You question. Tony pulls out something from his pocket. "Sure have. Now set this on fire." He tosses you a solid crumpled paper. Holding it between three fingers you expect it to turn into ash in your palm, but it stayed the way it is. You're looking at it now to help focus on setting it on fire but it still stayed as normal paper. Natasha grips you on the arm. "I think that's enough." "You went all out with your powers. I did see you let out an overwhelming amount when we were trying to outrun those creatures before you passed out." Rocket states. "Naturally it'll come back, but the shot should help you with your... body temperature and hopefully the speed of recovery." Tony adds. You groan, back landing on the pillow behind you. Not only does losing your powers suck but you aren't a big fan of needles either, but you'll deal with them if you really have to. Natasha's hand slowly crawls up to intertwine with yours, although her attention was still on Tony. "She's gonna have to stay here at least until she recovers, right?" She also looks at Rocket if he has any objections but he merely nods his head. "'Course, they're welcome here for as long as they want." Tony claps his hands together and dismisses himself, Rocket following behind. "In the meantime I'll be figuring out a way to build a new ship." The raccoon says before closing the door behind him. Natasha makes her way to sit beside you and you automatically scooch to make space and rest your head against her shoulder, taking a breath. "You alright?" You shrug. "I guess I do feel pretty useless without those powers. I mean, Quill without a doubt would never let me go on missions anymore. I'd just be a burden to everyone." She lets go of your hand to put around you. "Everything doesn't revolve around your powers, Y/N. You're not useless. I bet you could take that Quill guy down in a fist fight." You let out a chuckle, shaking your head. "What's that guy like anyway?" The sudden question makes your head perk up. "Oh, you know, Quill, he's a nice guy-" Natasha let out a noise, cutting you off. "Didn't sound like it while I was connected in the call." "He can be a mouthful to me sometimes," you admit quietly. "Not to everyone though, I do generally think he's a nice guy. I have no idea what I did that made him so pissed at me." You look up at her and she's staring at the wall, seeming like she's deep in thought. "He doesn't hurt you, does he?" "God, no. He's not like that," you say. "If he did want to of course I wouldn't just take it." Natasha smiles, "that's my girl." You hung your head low so she couldn't see the way you flushed at the phrase, biting your lip to hold in a smile. “I’m glad you have my back, though.”
“I always do. Always will.”
"So, when can I leave this room?"
"After Bruce gives you the shot, then we can do whatever we want." She tilts your head up to move your hair out of your face. You look at her with an amused expression, "where do you plan on taking me this time?” Natasha smirks at the question. She loves spending all her time with you and the sight of you enjoying yourself makes it better. "There’s a new bookstore open, thought you might like it. Also an amusement park. It’s a few hours away but I can always drive. Oh, Tony’s cabin. I’m sure he’d love you to meet his newborn Morgan.”
“Sounds like you have a list,” you muse.
Natasha hums, pulling you closer. “I do.”

Sannin headcanons and thoughts
The last thing I would like to post for the sannin week. It is still 24.04 here! :D @sannin-central
This is long. Spoiler alert. Mostly Orochimaru, some Tsunade, a little of Jiraiya (because his story is pretty clear and spoken and idk what I can add). Also I recommend to read this meta about Orochimaru, it has influenced me a lot and has some good points. Sorry for any posible grammar mistakes. Also I really should put here a lot of references to the manga or anime but it was something that was piling up for a year and I'm soooooooo lazy. After all, those are just headcanons. Also: Im not excusing Oro's bad stuff here, Im trying to understand the reasons.
Ive already posted some hcs, here, here and here.
1. First if all, the chronology pic of sannin lifetime based on the info i found on naruto wiki and also some statements about wars from this post. It was tough considering what a mess naruto’s chronology is.
2. Sannin story shows what it cost to be a legend. They're like Team 7 but more realistic. Tsunade literally carried the war but left with nothing and developed a ptsd and have problems to just live on. Also anger control issues. I think she can be pretty bossy and stubborn which is not always nice. Jiraiya is the hero of the day but also very idealistic and can ignore some important details in the real word whether its the fight (he always injured during flashbacks maybe because each time he took too much to handle and on the one hand it's heroistic but on the other is a mistake that can lead your team to situations like in that Iwa cave) or your friends issues (I bet he saw what's going on but thought it's fine until Oro actually got red handed and left). He lives in his world and may have problems to get out to see it through someone else's shoes. As for Orochimaru, it seems like he was a normal guy for 20+ years (I mean, he didn't do crazy criminal shit and had something good in him and it was stated somewhere that it was his teammates influence. It is obvious they considered him as a friend, I don't thinks it was for nothing) but we mostly know his darkest side. Despite being a moster he is a human that have empathy and some ordinary human traits (man just decorates every bit of an environment he is in lol).
3. Tsunade was the leader of team Hiruzen.
4. Tsunade sometimes hit Jiraiya for some stupid things he did or said but never touches Orochimaru even if he did something same. Jiraiya complained about it once and almost got another hit.
5. Jiraiya had problematic parents that didn't care about him much and a lot of time he was wandering in the streets.
6. Judging by the look of Oro bangs and hair, he sometimes cut it off. A stress relief huh? And the fact that he doesn't do it now in Boruto..
7. It was shown that Tsunade and Orochimaru was acknowledged before they become a team. Maybe they did just before, or maybe some longer time before. I prefer the second option and hc that they met because both had no real friends - Orochimaru seemed weird and scary for everyone and Tsunade was Senju so everyone wanted to hang out with her but didn't really care. They weren't seen as what they were - people put the labels on them. But they didn't care about each other's labels and actually saw each other in true lights.
8. Tsunade knew it was an accident and it's not right but still she blamed Orochimaru for Nawaki's death for some time. It was something that seriously damaged their friendship and the team. Orochimaru was mad but also guilty, after all, he was responsible at least as a shinobi since Nawaki was under his watch. So he started to act cold and emotionless and was trying to distance himself from his teammates.
9. Jiraiya was in Ame while Dan died.
10. The whole his orphans mission was a bit irresponsible tbh. They already fought Hanzo and as he stated the conflict between Konoha and Ame is going to an end with Konoha's win. It's weird to stay here for three years in the middle of the war while there were other lands to fight. He left his teammates for some idea. Maybe that caused another crack in their team friendship.
11. If Tsunade would have find a way to live on with her trauma and follow the will of fire and stuff it would affect Orochimaru as well just as her grief affected him. It's like he would get an example that you can live on with this pain. So death isn't above human capability and we are not just the slaves of mortality (sounds stupid but i dont know how else to describe sorry). But as we know what he actually saw is that it broke her crucially to the point she couldnt be herself again. And so the death is above everything.
12. Oro wasn’t just acting as a cold pragmatic bitch in that cave but also tried to save Tsunade. Jiraiya knew it and that’s why he showed this sign to him like "I see what youre doing here" and that stunned Oro because he would prefer to look rather like a cold pragmatic bitch hehe
13. Just a thought. People in the village probably treated Oro as a foreigner or just wouldnt accept him because he looked so differently and had a weird attitude. That's why he sometimes didn't feel that Konoha is his home. After the wars where people were treated as means and tools, even the children, he himself developed this view on people - he dehumanized them and used as the means to his goals, just as his village did. Funny thing some people were straightly dehumanizing him too like Ibiki thought that he was a demon (tho he was a child). And he probably weren't the only one. Anyways the point is that it's logical that Orochimaru don't care about anybody but some few people, he's the product of his era. He's like Naruto that would chose the hatred way. But naruto had some good and understanding people around him and.. Orochimaru had them too, but match how Iruka treated Naruto and this Hiruzen's "I sAw tHe mAliCe in This cHiLd fRoM tHe BegGinNinG". And oro didn't even have a big ass evil fox in him. sry i hate hiruzen
ANYWAYS the moral of the story is not "go criminal if they hurt you" but always treat people like people. Waving my hand to Kant.
14. The reason why Orochimaru didn't pick some good morals to stick with through the hard times no matter what (like, idk, Jiraiya or Naruto) is because 1) I think he is/was pretty depending on people around him 2) the war fucked him and his friends up too much (Nawaki incident + Tsunade) 3) twisted addictions (though I don't think he's that sadistic, we never saw him torturing randoms just for fun, it was always some science experimental shit. He tends to get fun out of cruelty only when it's personal) that maybe developed as a way to sublimate anger and sadness caused by his parents loss (that's what they share with sasuke - unlicke naruto, they knew their parents and it's other kind of pain. Sasuke developed a revenge issue and Orochimaru - cruelty pleasure which... is kinda the same but less epic and more occasional lol).
15. Speaking of that, Orochimaru cared for Sasuke because he saw himself in him.
16. Oro hold grudges against Hiruzen for not choosing him to be Hokage not only because he was ambitious and/or egoistic, but also because Hiruzen was some kind of a father figure for him and his approval was important tho i doubt he was aware of that. He also probably could tell that Hiruzen was suspicios about him when he was a child and that led to many conflicts and was hurting as well.
17. Tsunade knew things weren't pretty with Orochimaru after the wars but she never expected them to be this bad. During the week that she was given in her arc she thought not only about how much she wants to see Nawaki and Dan again despite how wrong would it be but also was trying to bury all the good memories she had left of Orochimaru so it would be easier to kill him.
18. She poisoned Jiraiya exactly because she knew he would not let her do it. Jiraiya was always hesitant to kill and inclined to forgiveness, while Tsunade, as mentioned by Orochimaru, could be merciless (so much so that he was not surprised when Kabuto suggested that she wanted to use Jira for Edo Tensei).
19. That was one of her traits that scared Jiraiya and fascinated Orochimaru.
20. Remember how Oro grabbed Jiraiya's neck when the latter was trying to cover with hair jutsu? On the snake, in Tsnade's arc. Orochimaru could have easily kill Jiraiya by pulling the sword out of the mouth (arteries are right there) but he didn't. As well as he could kill Tsunade when she was still shaking - just aim for the neck or the heart. Instead, he just injured her lung and kicked her which is not a big deal for the kind of shinoby like her at all.. Also he helped Anko not accidentally kill herself but it would be way much profitable to let her do it. "Orochimaru has no feelings".
21. The reason he suddenly wanted to kill Tsunade instead of forcing her to heal his arms as it was planned (which is weird since it will not going to get him heals and he kinda said that he wouldn't want to kill her just minutes ago) is that not only she refused to help him (he thought he could work it out) but she also prefered the village over him (from his point of view). Out if everyone she was the closest to being able to understand him since the village caused her painful losses too but nevertheless she agreed to be on it's side.
22. He wasn't fighting her back in the end partly because he thought he deserved that. Somewhere deep inside hahah.
23. Tsunade got a fear to develop deep bonds so they probably weren't very close with Shizune (also the way she knocked her down in this hotel.. oh).
24. Orochimaru will be here when she'll die.
25. Orochimaru's eng dub to Tsunade: "I often wondered what it would be like to ring that pretty neck yours". No comments.
26. Orochimaru is either bi/pan or ace. Anything or nothing lmao
27. Hiruzen knew about at least some of the Oro’s illegal experiments and was okay just as he was okay with the Foundation all the time. Because it’s useful. Then he has discovered he went too far OR he knew everything and oro just became too inconvenient because of his methods. The way Orochimaru tells Sasuke about reasons they are well treated as the criminals is based on in his experience with Hiruzen.
28. As you may know the lyrics in Orochimaru’s music theme goes “don’t talk with the silence of the heart”. It was taken from one Indian song that also had lines like “don’t question life too much”, ”pain arose somewhere in the chest”, “don’t speak to the wounds of the heart”. Though I’m not sure 100% because I was translating it with some hindi dictionary with like zero knowledge of hindi
29. I like to think that this “silence of the heart” theme and the fact that he called his village a hidden sound village are somehow connected. The hidden sound is the possible explanation of all things waiting to be listened to but the truth is silent and you know it deep in your heart and it bothers you. The world is silent just like the life is meaningless but people can only hear. *Sigh* anyways
30. Orochimaru’s journey is the one about accepting death. When he saw Karin released her chains while was trying to get to Sasuke he understood that the death is a part of human’s strength.
Can’t wait to feel that everything I wrote is wrong or not enough or stupid and obvious lol. Anyways, it’s something that I wanted to share until I move to some other fandom.

The sun was just setting over Ambrose by the time Lester's truck pulled up to the washed-out road. With a smile, you shifted the big paper bag in your arms and slid out of the passenger side, calling, "Thanks, Les!" over your shoulder.
"You take care now!" he said back, patting Jonesy's behind as she jumped out after you. "Tell those good fer nothin' brothers of mine 'm sorry I couldn't make it to dinner."
You nodded, filling your lungs with fresh air. You loved the hell out of Lester, but you still weren't used to the smell of his truck. "I'll tell them. Drive safe. Thanks again."
Lester waved as he backed out, then pulled a sharp turn to head down the dirt road again, truck clattering the whole way.
You looked down at Jonesy, who had paused to pee in a nearby bush. "You ready, Jonesy?" When she looked up at you, panting, you said, "I know, it's hot. Come on, let's head home. Go home, Jonesy."
She knew the way, taking point and leading you across the small creek, around the bend and into Ambrose.
Your heart soared the moment you stepped into town. You could see pretty much the whole thing from where you stood: the church, the gas station, the house of wax ... and of course the Sinclair house.
You were eager to go find Bo, but you followed Jonesy to the house of wax first, opening one of the front doors to let her in. She'd find her way down to Vincent, and he'd know to come up to the house for dinner in about an hour—unless he didn't show up at all, which wasn't out of the ordinary.
Jonesy pranced into the dusty darkness of the museum, and you watched her retreating form for a few moments, zoning out.
It had been a year since you'd come out to Bo, Vincent, and Lester. A year now that you'd been living as your true self. It felt like much longer than that, and yet, when you thought about it, it somehow felt like only yesterday that you'd told your favorite mechanic.
After stewing over it and your talks, he'd come to terms with your new lifestyle ... gradually. Grudgingly, at times. But he was trying, and that meant something. These days, he only had to correct himself occasionally.
And that was the thing about Bo. He may be ignorant, and he might not get it, but once he had come to terms with something ... once he had decided that something was acceptable ... he was protective as hell. It might take some work, and he might still tease you about it, but if anyone else said something? God help them.
"Boo!"
You jumped, nearly dropping your paper bag as strong hands squeezed your waist. You turned quickly and were met with Bo's grinning face. "You douchebag!"
He snickered. "Scared you, darlin'?" He leaned to look into your bag. "Get anything good?"
"Get your nose out of there." With a grin of your own, you pushed him gently away by the chest. "It's a surprise."
"You know I hate surprises." Nonetheless, Bo relented, straightening and adjusting the brim of his hat. "I'll lock up the shop, meet you up at the house in ten?"
"Sounds good." You craned your neck to kiss his stubbly, sweaty cheek, then passed him. As you did, he smacked your ass. "Ugh! Come on, dude."
"You know ya like it, dude."
You could still hear him snickering to himself like an idiot as you parted ways, starting up the hill to the house while he returned to the garage. The door was unlocked as usual. You stopped in the kitchen to shove the groceries in the fridge before starting upstairs. It was hot as hell today, and you were in desperate need of a shower, slicked with more sweat than you cared to think about.
Once in the bedroom, you kicked your shoes under the end of the bed, then stripped off your shirt. You'd been wearing your binder for a few hours now, so you peeled it off, relishing the feeling of air hitting your hot skin. As you chucked the binder to the floor, you glanced into the full-length mirror near the dresser.
Your hormone therapy was going well. You were hairier, your face was slightly different, your fat had redistributed and made you squarer in a way that made you downright giddy. Your chest wasn't flat, but more and more every day, you found you didn't care—even enjoyed the look of it. Wearing a binder in public saved you from being misgendered, but around Ambrose, you didn't wear it all that much.
You ghosted your fingers over the hair on your arms and hands, thinking back. The road to the place you were at had been rocky, to say the least. For you and for Bo. When the HRT had started taking effect especially, he'd gotten weird and silent all over again, like it was finally really setting in for him. But he'd rarely voiced any criticisms aloud besides some offhanded asinine comments, so you'd just let him deal with whatever internal struggle he was dealing with.
Those days had been a struggle for you, too. But by now, he'd gotten over himself. He even dutifully helped with your shots, administering them like they were the most serious shit in the world.
It made you feel all warm and fuzzy inside, how far he had come. How far you'd both come. For a few long minutes, you were lost in your scrutiny, fingering stretch marks and admiring your hands.
You were so deep in thought that when the bedroom door creaked open, you jumped, instinctively covering your chest before you realized who it was. "You scared me."
"That's twice today." Bo smirked as he hung his hat on one of the bedposts. "You sure are jumpy."
"You're almost as quiet as Vincent when you wanna be." You bit your lip and glanced back at the mirror.
In the reflection, you noticed Bo looking you up and down slowly. After a beat, he approached from behind, wrapping his arms around your middle and meeting your gaze. As he did, he raised his hands to your chest, strong fingers rubbing your breast tissue in deep circles. Ever since you'd complained about how tender you got after being compressed for hours, he'd done this. You were pretty sure it was just an excuse to touch your boobs, but it felt nice at least.
You relaxed back into him with a sigh, letting him support you a bit. "How was your day?"
"A lot better now that you're home, handsome." He craned his head to kiss your neck and stayed like that, mouth buried in the crook. "Fuck, you smell good," he mumbled into your skin, fingers never stilling.
You couldn't help but squirm a little under his praise. You smelled like sweat, and worse, man sweat, but Bo always seemed fascinated with it, more than content to snuggle up to you and take your changing body in.
"I smell like a highschool gym locker," you mumbled, though you couldn't hide your goofy smile in the mirror.
He raised his eyes and brows to meet your gaze in the reflection again. "You sure? I used ta play football ... don't remember the other guys smellin' this hot."
You squeezed one of the arms around your waist, trying to ignore the heat of your face. The sight of him rubbing your breasts and the feeling of his rough fingers against your sensitive skin was already crazy-making enough. "I bet you found it a little hot."
A year ago, you wouldn't have dared make a joke like that. You didn't even wanna think about how offended he would've gotten. Now, though, his only reaction was a smile that crinkled his eyes and a little sparkle in his pupils.
"All those sweaty, strong guys bumping up against each other in steamy close quarters." Your smile turned into a grin. "Bet it kinda turned you on."
Bo snorted. "Wouldn't really know. I usually changed in the janitor's closet." A bit of vulnerability flashed in his eyes, but he quickly recovered by focusing the attention back on you. "Anyway, none a' them were like you. Where you goin', lookin' like that?"
As he spoke, his hands slid down your front, hugging your hips so your ass was pressed tight against him. You shivered hard. "Looking like what? This is just my body."
He grunted, and you watched in fascination as his gaze ate you up. He rubbed your flanks with his thumbs. "You're a real pretty boy, you know that? Not like other guys at all..."
Your heart skipped a beat, and you suppressed the urge to hide your face in your hands. Still, you averted your eyes from the mirror, too shy to look at yourself any longer. "I dunno about that, but thanks."
Bo shifted. He huffed in your ear, and you lifted your head enough to see him frowning down at you. After a few moments, his expression changed to something slightly more neutral, eyes alight. "Don't make me hafta teach you a lesson, sweetheart. I might enjoy it too much."
Those words sent a thrill up your spine, flipping your stomach. He looked like a predator about to strike its prey, and god, it took everything you had not to give in right away. You raised your chin in a challenge. "What lesson is that, hm?"
Bo's expression shifted again. He grinned, bottom lip caught between his teeth. One hand left your hip, wrapping around your throat just under your chin.
Then, he pivoted, and with one good yank, threw you onto the bed.
You loosed a soft breath as you bounced on the mattress, looking up at him. Defiance fluttered its wings in your chest. "Well? You never answered my question."
"Shh." His hand returned, this time over your mouth. "None a' that now. I'm not in the mood for dolin' out punishment. You just sit there nice 'n' lemme show you what ya do to me, understand?"
Even if you could say something with his hand over your mouth, all you wanted to do was stare at him—at those beautiful blue eyes that seemed to see right through you.
"Tch." His crooked grin made a brief appearance, though it was more of a snarl, showing off his gums. "What a good li'l soldier."
With that, Bo moved in on you, kissing you hard. Teeth and noses clashed painfully before he drew you closer and deeper, his tongue exploring you like he could drink you in. You returned the kiss with equal enthusiasm, grunting into his mouth, then giving a groan when you felt his large hand cup you between the legs.
A sharp inhale, and he pulled back slightly. His lips moved against yours as he whispered, "Whose is that? Who does this pussy belong to, dickbait?"
Your breath hitched. "You."
"Me. That's right." He squeezed and rubbed through your jeans. You could already feel how wet you were, folds sliding together. A second later, he'd undone your button and zipper and slipped his hand into your underwear. "Fuck, that's nice." His lips still brushed against yours, breath hot on your face and in your mouth. "Love that boy cunt. You're just as wet, aintcha?"
As he stroked you, his thumb found your swollen clit. You gasped when he put pressure on it.
"So wet for your man."
You shuddered and dared to quip back, "And it looks like you're pretty hard for yours."
Finally, he pulled back to meet your eyes, lust warring with challenge. He stared for a few moments before saying, his voice nearly a growl, "I'mmuna make you come, pussyboy. Yeah. Squirt all up my stomach 'n' chest ... we'll see if you still gimme an attitude once you're screamin' and shakin' under me."
You had no smart comeback for that. You simply melted onto his hand, grinding against him as he slid two fingers inside your hot, needy pussy. The feeling of him curling his fingers and stroking you deep already had you biting back incoherent dirty talk, every nerve electric.
"Pretty young buck like you, walkin' around lookin' like that ... you're just askin' for dick." He licked his lips and used his other hand to help you shimmy out of your jeans. Soon, you were bare, gushing all over his fingers as he loomed over you. "Am I right?"
"Y-Yeah," you pushed out, leaning back on your palms so he could get a better angle. "Fuck, Bo—"
"Y/N," he mumbled back, free hand gripping the back of your head. "Y/N."
You heard him say your name all the time, but the way he said it now, the way he was staring into your eyes ... you knew this meant something more. He wasn't just fucking you, he was fucking you. He was seeing you.
You couldn't take it anymore. Your head was spinning with every circle his thumb made around your clit, but you needed more. With a strangled gasp, you gripped his biceps. "Bo, baby, inside—fuck, please, I need you."
He smirked above you. "Not until you admit you're the handsomest goddamn man in Ambrose."
You groaned. "Come on!"
"Sorry, gorgeous, those're the rules. C'mon, lemme hear you say it."
Your cheeks burned, but he wouldn't stop playing with your pussy, and you didn't want to come without his cock inside you. "I-I can't," you muttered, only half joking. "What about you, big cat?"
"Besides me." He thrust his fingers in particularly firmly, drawing a shout from you. "Say, 'I'm the handsomest goddamn man in Ambrose.' I wanna see you say it while you're ridin' my hand, and you better convince me."
You panted for a few more moments before finally giving in, sputtering, "I'm the ... handsomest goddamn man in Ambrose," followed immediately by a groan, your eyes rolling back in your head.
"I'm not buyin' it."
"I'm the handsomest goddamn man in Ambrose!" He certainly made you feel like it.
"Good boy." After one last jerk, Bo drew his fingers from you, going to work his belt off. His cock sprung from his Dickies, already red and glistening with precum. He caught your calves in iron grips as he lined himself up with your hole. "I c'n smell you. Slut. So fuckin' messy for me."
As he slid in, your head lolled back. You dropped to your elbows, then gave up completely and laid flat, unable to hold yourself up for shaking.
Bo almost cooed, throbbing gently inside you. "Lookit my beautiful boyfriend ... already half way ta heaven. Haven't even started poundin' that sloppy boy pussy yet. Ya can't lose it on me already, ace."
Even the stupid nicknames got you hot somehow. You watched him through half-lidded eyes, panting. When he began to thrust, you yowled like a hurt animal, the drag of his dick sending flames spitting through your limbs.
His grip tightened as he rolled his hips into you, in and out, in and out, picking up pace. "You like that, loverboy? Shit, sure looks like ya do." He lifted his chin. "Stick your tongue out."
Obediently, you parted your lips with your tongue, trying not to drool too much.
Bo couldn't hide the way his eyes sparkled as he watched your mouth, or the way his dick swelled in you. His hips moved faster, your slickness enough for him to glide. It felt so nice, but that alone wouldn't make you come, and he knew that—he was savoring this.
Eventually, his shirt found its way to the floor, followed by his pants and boxer-briefs. The sight of him bare with you, glistening in the hot afternoon, made it hard to breathe.
With one of his hands, he propped your leg up so it was resting against his chest and slightly over his shoulder; with the other, he explored your torso, dragging his calloused hands up your hip, across your stomach, to your breasts. He still played with them often, sucking and squeezing, and you found you didn't mind. The way it made you feel and the way he was looking at you, how could you ever hate it? Plus, you weren't sure he'd take no for an answer regardless.
A growl ripped from your chest as he bent to suck one of your nipples, latching on for a few moments before flicking his tongue, then running it flat in circles. He whispered heatedly, lips brushing against you, accent slurring, "I love your tits ... you know I love ya tits, righ'? Fuck, ya so hot..."
You knew he'd miss them if you decided to get rid of them. Honestly, that was half the reason you were reconsidering that idea. You never wanted to forget the way he worshiped them: licking, sucking, slapping, squeezing his dick between them...
"Come on, romeo," Bo panted, his mouth still against your chest as he plowed into you. Wet clapping filled the room as his balls met your ass, again and again, almost unbearably warm. "Come on, fuck ya'self off tha'."
He loosened his grip on you, giving you more freedom to move. Now he was fucking firmer, his angle more deliberate, the hot head of his cock hitting your sweet spot with every thrust. You loosed another yowl and bucked your hips to meet his.
"Bo," you groaned. "Bo, Bo..."
"Tha's my man." He was losing control of himself, his voice choked and desperate. "Tha's my man. Tha's my fuckin' man."
"Yeah—! You— you like fucking other guys, angel? Huh?"
Bo exhaled harshly, twitching inside you. "Like makin' 'em scream, too. 'Specially this one. My— handsome li'l— pussyboy—"
You could feel the muscles of his sweat-slicked thighs and abs flexing as he tried to hold himself back, trying to keep himself from finishing. You knew one comment from you would push him over the edge ... so you waited until you were at your edge, too, to choke out: "Fill that slutty boy pussy up, cher. Show me who's the big man around here, who gets to come wherever he wants. Show me who's boss— fuck—!"
Bo lurched, sinking his teeth in the crook of your neck. Every inch of him tensed, cock jumping, and you saw white as your entire core became molten between your orgasm and his.
When you were next aware of your surroundings, he had collapsed into you, slumped a bit awkwardly over the edge of the bed. He was breathing hard, his hair damp with sweat. It dripped down his spine, too, and down the back of your thighs. You gripped him tightly, wrapping your arms and legs around him, and the two of you stayed like that for a minute or so.
Eventually, he pulled away, rolling onto his back beside you. One of his strong, square hands still gripped your wrist, though, thumb brushing the back of your hand lightly. He opened his pretty blue eyes, all long lashes as he blinked away the haze of his climax.
Then he looked over at you—and, of course, found you already staring at him. His lips quirked up in a smirk. "Angel?"
You could feel yourself flush. "Romeo?"
The smirk turned into a wolfish grin, and he propped himself up on one elbow, stealing a kiss. "You're cute," he declared after a moment, like he was giving his official opinion on the subject.
"You're one to talk. Can we at least agree that I'm the second handsomest man in Ambrose?"
Bo heaved a sigh. "A'right, a'right, fine. Guess numero uno is my cross ta bear."
"Always."
With a laugh, you wrapped your arms around his neck, pulling him close for a kiss. It started heated and rough, but as the seconds passed, it became more tender. He slipped a hand into your hair and held you in the kiss for an extended period before pulling away, an intense gaze searching your face.
"I love you," he breathed. "Ya know that, right?"
It wasn't often he said it unprompted; usually when he told you he loved you, it was because you'd said it first. At once, tears sprung to your eyes, and you leaned in for another quick kiss.
You did know—you did. And more importantly, he knew. He knew everything and he still said those three little words. He saw you and this and he still wanted all of it.
And fuck, you wanted it, too.

[5:47pm]
"Do you want me to bring you anything?” You asked Soonyoung, phone glued to your ear, while grabbing a pack of rice from the shelf. You spent the afternoon running some errands, groceries being the last one of your tasks.
He thought about it for a second, “Kimchi?” Of course.
“I already ordered it from that small shop you like,” you informed him, eyes scanning your cart to check if you had all you needed.
“Oh, okay! I’ll pick it up to—ouch!” You furrowed your eyebrows in confusion. What was he doing?
“Stop moving and it won’t hurt!” You heard someone say in the background.
No. Not someone. Krys. Your chest automatically moved as you sighed. Soonyoung and Krys unsupervised never meant anything good. You stopped walking, standing still by the grain section.
“Soonyoung?” You asked, voice gentle. He hummed in response. “What is Krys doing there?” You had no idea what could she possibly be doing there on a Saturday evening. Weekends were, as she liked to call, Seokmin days. So when you heard her voice echoing through your apartment, your senses tingled.
Someone almost bumped at you, making it pretty clear you were in the way. You gave the young man an apologetic look, trying to focus now on whatever excuse Soonyoung was about to offer. “Nothing?” He sounded unsure. Shy, even. Like a child that’s about to get busted.
You rubbed your temples, “Krys is never doing nothing. Especially with you.” They were partners in crime.
“You’ll see when you get home?” Uncertainty, again.
Another long breath escaped you. “Can you just please don’t get slime on the ceiling like that one time?”
He laughed and you felt almost calm. Almost. “It’s nothing like that.”
“Should I be concerned?” You asked, genuinely curious.
“Will you not be concerned if I tell you there’s no reason to be concerned?”
Krys snorted in the background, “Of course she won’t. She doesn’t trust us!”
Your eyes went to the back of your head, “Hey! Can she hear me? If not, tell her to shut up.”
He ignored your banter, “Will you?”
You really wanted to say yes. No one would believe you, though. “No.”
Your boyfriend giggled, “Then be concerned and when you come home you’ll see it’s not a big deal and relax.”
“Just—”
“It’s not slime, and we won’t break anything, ok? Finish doing the groceries, and we’ll see you soon.”
You bit the insides of your cheek, “Do you promise there’s no sli—”
“Love you, bye.”
And then he hung up. Just like that. Plain and simple. You sighed dramatically, staring at the various types of rice in front of you, trying to come up with a scenario where the two of them are alone and doing something that wouldn’t end up in someone getting hurt or in a mess you’d have to fix. Nothing. You guessed you’d just have to go home and see with your own eyes.
The drive from the market to your apartment seemed long. Too long. You probably shouldn’t be this worried. Whatever the two of them were doing was most likely fixable. You’d just have to put on the big girl pants and manage it, like always.
It was just that they were one and the same. Both too impulsive, too often. You loved them despite and because of it. But it was also something that could give you massive headaches whenever they were left alone together.
When you put your keys in the lock, you let out one last breath before you were actually ready to face whatever was expecting you. As you moved the bags inside, you heard footsteps approaching you.
“Hi, bestie.” Krys said, with a sneaky smile across her lips.
You raised an eyebrow at her while closing the door behind you. “What did you do to my boyfriend this time?”
The woman huffed, “Can you stop acting as if I’m some sort of mastermind behind evil plans?”
“Aren’t you?” You said, walking inside, eyes quickly moving through the place in the hopes of finding Soonyoung and whatever mess they had made.
She chased after you, a hand reaching for your arm. “Am not. He is equally involved in everything.” You got confused by her grip, but didn’t really say anything, simply allowing her to drag you further into the living room. “Sit.”
“What for? Where is Soonyoung?” You were feeling agitated.
She somewhat managed to make you follow her orders, legs hitting the comfortable fabric of your couch. “Can you wait, please?”
You shook your head, “No. I want to know what you did.”
Krys rolled her eyes, “For the record, this was his idea. And stop being dramatic, you will actually thank me this time.”
“I doubt it,” you said with a laugh.
She ignored it, confidence very clear in her tone. “Close your eyes, I’ll go get your furry boyfriend.”
“He’s not a furry!”
“Yeah, yeah.” She stood there, facing you, waiting for you to do as you had been told. “C’mon, close them. Otherwise, I won’t bring the furry.”
It was your turn to huff, “Stop calling him that!” When you realized she wouldn’t bulge, you placed your hands over your eyes. “Fine.”
Krys smiled, triumphantly, “You’ll love this.” You could hear her walking away and, for some reason, your heart started beating faster.
“Do you think she’ll like it?” You heard Soonyoung ask her not long after. You guessed that wasn’t for you to hear, but he had never done a good job when it came to concealing words, anyway.
You figured she reassured him some other way as you didn’t hear her voice until she spoke to you again. “Okay, as much as I want to see your reaction, furry guy is too excited, so I think I’ll let you two enjoy this moment alone.”
“Did you buy him a tiger suit? Because if you did I swear—”
“I’ll wait for your thank you text.” You heard something that sounded like hands clapping, guessing they had just high-fived each other. Idiots. “Go get her.”
Not long after, you heard the door closing once again, taking that as your cue. “Soo? Can I—”
“No!” He said, perhaps a bit too loud, before you could move your hands.
“What’s going on?” You whined. “I’m getting worried.”
The man chuckled, “Getting?”
“Please, let me look.” You were practically begging now. A thousand scenarios had crossed your mind already, and you were going crazy at this point because you couldn’t really think of anything besides Krys buying him a goddamn tiger suit.
Soonyoung let out a breath in an attempt to ease his nervousness. This wasn’t that big of a deal. He was sure you’d love him anyway. Still, he really, really hoped you’d like it. He whispered, “You can look now.”
Your boyfriend had barely finished speaking when you started uncovering your eyes. You were met with something you weren’t expecting. He was smiling. Big. He looked different, too. It was almost as if your heart had skipped a beat. Words were failing you, so you struggled to manage mumbling something cohesive. “Oh!”
“Is it bad?” He pouted.
“What? No!” You said, truthfully. You then stood up, standing in front of him. “I guess I just thought it’d be something else.”
He chuckled, “You think too low of Krys and I.”
“I have my reasons.” You brushed your fingers through his hair. “You look amazing. Like, really fucking good.”
He was blond.
Could that even be considered blond? It was actually more leaning towards white and, if you looked at it close enough, there were subtle hints of purple on the background tone. Apparently, Krys came not long after you left earlier, bringing the necessary equipment to support Soonyoung in his newest decision. She always had his back. He said she bleached it and styled it before you came home, being well aware of how weak you were for side parted hair, and a couple of strands falling over his eyes Soonyoung.
“Do you like it?” He sounded timid. Almost as if he was too scared to ask. He was always the confident one. Still, when it came to you, Soonyoung was often like an insecure teenager that wanted nothing more but to impress his crush.
You nodded, “I love it.” You weren’t a big fan of blond men, always being the one to go for dark haired ones. Still, much like with many other things, Soonyoung was a decisive and welcoming change of opinion. You wrapped your arms around his neck while his went instinctively to one of the places he called home - your waist.
When you didn’t say anything for a bit, he took his chance to tease. “I see it made you speechless.”
You smiled, “It just kinda reminds me of the first picture I saw of you.”
Seeing Soonyoung with the same hairstyle he had when you were first introduced to his remarkable features, even if only through an Instagram post, gave you butterflies. It took you back to when you barely even knew who he was. To when you were, unknowingly, falling for his eyes for the first time. It felt new and, at the same time, familiar.
You took some time to just admire him. To take in how good he looked. To allow him to read, in your eyes, how much you loved him. To let your heart go back to its usual rhythm. To understand that, now, this was a different Soonyoung than the one you first saw on Doki’s phone. That this Soonyoung was as in love with you as you were with him. That this Soonyoung was as yours as you were his.
“I didn’t look this hot back then.” He said, lips curving in a smug smirk.
You laughed, “You definitely didn’t. I don’t know how, but you manage to look better and better every day.” Your fingers danced against the hair on his nape. “This just makes you even hotter.”
He pulled you closer, welcoming the sudden ego boost. “Hot enough for you to let me fuck you right here, right now?”
You stared into his eyes and felt something twist inside you. He raised his eyebrows as if he was waiting for a confirmation he could push you up against a wall and make you moan his name within minutes.
You smiled his favorite smile, face already mere millimeters away from his. “Yeah.”
While you were lost in his kisses and moans and bites, your phone was buzzing by your pocket.
[5:47pm] Krys: you’re only excused from not texting me thank you if you’re fucking your newly blond boyfriend :)
a/n: yes this is another mmf!soonyoung thing. am i still obsessed with this universe? yes. am i planning/writing another long ass fic about it? yes. will i post small drabbles that fit between the timeline for mmf 1 and 2 while i work on part 2? probably. anyway! when he first showed up blond recently i almost died bc i’m such a black haired supremacist and he was looking SO GOOD with the previous hair i was kinda bitter. but. now. you know. he knocked me down. he did that. he is so sexy. blond/white soonyoung is so sexy. so yeah! no explanation, just sexy blondish soonyoung. also, for the sake of writing, let’s pretend you can actually go from black to his current haircolor in a day without going bald. as usual,my askbox is always open even tho i now apparently suck at answering asks. sorry about that. Focaccia Making (Tony Dinozzo x Reader)
•• Hello! This is for Anon, and I just want to disclose this is sort of what you asked for but I kinda put my spin on it. 😅 I hope you enjoy! ••
“Alright pupils, pay attention. Making my focaccia is considered an art form in and of itself.” You rolled your eyes at Tony. He'd offered to teach you, Tim, Ziva, Abby, and Jimmy how to make his family's focaccia recipe after you all gawked at it that one time he brought it in for the annual Christmas party. He pulled a bowl from one side of the counter and pulled the clingfilm off. “I did a majority of the work last night. You just add yeast, warm water, and flour before letting it rise for about...twelve hours or so.”
“Twelve hours?” Tim questioned. “That's a long time to rest the dough isn't it?”
“Not when you're going for perfection, Timothy my boy.” He held the bowl out. “That and it needs to double in size.” He set the bowl down and brought over a stand mixer. “Now, we mix this baby for about ten minutes.” He poured the dough into the mixer and let it do its work.
“I didn't realize you baked so often to own a mixer, Tony.” Ziva chided and he scoffed.
“I'm a Dinozzo. We cook like Kings.” Abby took in a deep breath.
“Oh, it smells so good already.” Tony bent down under the counter and pulled out a different bowl, pouring some olive oil into it.
“I'm surprised you all decided to come. Thought it might have just been (y/n) and I.” The way he smiled at his remark sent your heart aflutter. There was just something about how Tony’s lips spread apart that made your knees weak. It was almost as if that crazy crush you had on him when you first started- You shook your head of those thoughts. Tony was continuing with the lesson. Abby nudged you in the side.
“Just you and Tony would have been fun too though, right (y/n)?” You gave Abby a sidekick to the back of the leg. Tony sent a smirk your way and you laughed.
“Yeah, I would've hit him with the dough hook.” He chuckled before moving the dough to the new bowl. He pulled up apart and let it fall back down.
“You want to make sure the dough is smooth. It's not as sturdy as other bread dough, so don't be scared. It's meant to be like this.” Jimmy wrote down notes in the notepad he'd brought.
“Smooth dough…”
“I'm starting to think you're just pranking us.” Tim quipped. “There's no way you can put this much effort into anything.” Ziva let out a hearty laugh and she nodded.
“He's right, Tony, but Tim I know what he's saying is true. My friend Ishmael has made it for me many times.”
“Wait-” You started. “So you already know how to make Focaccia?” She shrugged.
“I was just curious as to how Tony's family's recipe differs from Ishmael’s.” Tony shook his head, setting cling film over the top of the bowl.
“I'm sad that after all these years you still doubt me, Ziva.”
The dough had to rise at least another two hours and you didn't know how much more of Tony and Ziva’s bickering you could take. Abby, Jimmy, and Tim had to leave early due to personal reasons, but you were pretty sure it was because Abby wanted to try and get you and Tony alone. Well, her plan sort of worked, but Ziva was still here. You couldn't even remember what they were arguing about anymore. You just started zoning out to the Frank Sinatra music Tony had set up in the background. For the “ambiance” he said. Ziva stood with a sigh.
“While it is always fun arguing with you, Tony, I have other plans this afternoon as well.” She winked at you. “Make sure he saves me a piece?” You laughed.
“Will do, Ziva.” As soon as she left Tony went silent, something you never thought you'd say about Anthony fricking Dinozzo. The occasional tap of his foot to a song. The timer he set on his phone buzzed and he stood.
“Alright,” He scratched the back of his head. “(Y/n), you don't have to stay to be polite. Everyone else left, and now it's just the two of us.” You laughed at his statement of the obvious.
“I'm not staying out of pity, Tony. I genuinely want to be here.” You stood up next to him and dared to reach out and grab his arm, dragging him towards the kitchen. “Come on, show me what to do next.” You stood in front of the bowl and Tony stood behind you. He grabbed a pan and sprayed in some cooking spray. He set it down in front of you.
“You put the dough in here.” You tore the cling off and dumped the dough inside. Tony put his hands on top of yours and guided your fingers across the dough. “The dough has to spread out to all the edges.” He said into your ear. You were thankful he was behind you. You could feel how hard you were blushing as you watched his hand guide yours. His grip was firm, but you could tell with how softly he was cupping your hand that he had to have been just as embarrassed as you were.
“Tony-”
“(Y/n)-” You both started to talk at the same time. His hands stopped guiding yours, but he never let go. “You go first.”
“I... appreciate you taking the time to teach me. I know I'm not the perfect student.”
“You're perfect, (y/n).” He said, turning you around. “Don't let anyone tell you differently.” He took one of his hands from yours and cupped your cheek. “Especially not yourself.” Your heart was racing. Tony was so close you could feel the warmth from his body. His hand still cupped your face.
“You think that?” You asked. He nodded with a smile.
“I always have.” He shifted the weight on his feet. “(Y/n), I'm just gonna cut through the bullshit. I like you, a lot.” You couldn't think of a reply, so, without thinking you pushed yourself up on your toes and kissed Tony on the lips. You went back on your heels and blushed.
“I hope that wasn't too forward-” Tony grabbed onto your shoulders and pushed you up against the counter, slamming his lips back into yours. You fell into the kiss with a newfound passion. You hadn't been too forward. He pulled back and you couldn't help the smile that spread across your face. Words didn't need to be spoken now. You and Tony knew how you felt about each other. He grabbed the pan from behind you and threw it in the oven. He laughed.
“If I knew my Focaccia would help me admit my feelings for you I wish I'd offered this class sooner.” He looked at the clock. “Are you sure you want to stay until it's done? It’s getting pretty late and I don't want you to have to drive across town…” You shrugged.
“Would it be the worst thing in the world if I stayed the night?”
“No, it definitely wouldn't be.”

HOME | Charlie Gillespie
Requested by anon: "Hi! If request are open can you do a charlie imagine where him and the reader (she/her) met on a project a while back and have been friends for a while, but the reader kinda had a crappy home life so she gets overwhelmed by charlies family being so loving and perfect and she basically breaks down and feels like she doesn’t fit in and isn’t good enough for him? please and thank you so much, ur writing is amazing!!!"
PAIRING(s): Charlie Gillespie x fem! reader
WARNING(s): mentions of abuse, trauma, anxiety, angst, fluff
WORDS: 2,036
SUMMARY: charlie takes co-star and girlfriend y/n home for christmas but that leads to self doubt in her (im so bad at these) [note: this takes place in 2021]
As Charlie pulls out the key from the ignition, I sigh, wringing my hands nervously. He unbuckles his seatbelt and faces me, giving me a bright, happy smile.
“My family is so excited to meet you.” He says, reaching forward to tuck a strand of hair behind my ear.
“What if they hate me?” I whisper.
My boyfriend, Charlie, and I first met on the set of Charmed – we were both in the first episode, but I left it after that due to scheduling conflicts with my other show, Chilling Adventures of Sabrina. I had been a part of CAOS since its first episode – I played the role of Sabrina’s cousin, Sarah Spellman.
Back then, we were just friends. After I left Charmed, we would text and call each other occasionally. Whenever we were in the same city, we would meet up – but that was hard considering we both had quite different lives. So, we didn’t think of each other as more than friends – sure I thought that he was attractive, but that’s it.
But, in 2020, after CAOS was cancelled, I got a call from the casting director of Julie and The Phantoms: she was the one who had previously cast me in CAOS, and she believed that I’d be perfect for the role of Julie’s British cousin who joins her school after her parents relocate to LA – I also play Reggie’s love interest.
I texted Charlie immediately after my manager finalized all the details for the new role. He had been excited and when shooting started in 2021, we were pretty inseparable.
After a few weeks, I had developed a major crush on him ad the rest of the cast had also picked up on that. They were also convinced that Charlie liked me (which I didn’t believe at that time but later found out that it was, indeed, true) and they used to tease us about it all the time. Finally, a couple weeks before production ended, he asked me out on a date and it’s been really, really great so far.
We’ve been dating for about nine months now and honestly, he’s the best thing that’s ever happened to me. He’s my home – all my life I’ve always felt lost, but I feel like I truly belong with him.
Now, he laughs. “Baby. I promise you – they already love you. My mother’s been bugging me to bring you home ever since we started dating, and you’ve already met Megan, and she loves you.”
“If you say so.” I say, still not convinced.
He grins and we get out of his car and face his childhood home. I take a deep breath, shaking off my nerves. He knocks three times on the front door, and it opens immediately after.
A petite, blonde woman steps out, with a wide smile on her face. She opens her arms as Charlie yells, “Mamacita!”
“Mon chéri. Ça fait trop longtemps!”
“Je vous ai manqué!”
I have absolutely no idea what they are saying, but the scene in front of me is so heart-warming. Charlie’s mother is genuinely happy to see her son – one can tell by the way she’s holding him, almost like he’s a little child. Charlie is quite a couple inches taller than her, but he’s nestled his face into her shoulder.
I can’t stop a grin from breaking out on my face. It’s honestly rather lovely. But I also feel a slight pang in my heart knowing that no one ever greets me like this when I go home.
They separate from each other and she squeezes his shoulders, looking at him with so much love that I have to look away. I have never seen a mother look at their child like that, with such intense love. That’s dumb, I know. Mothers are supposed to love their children. But all my mother ever looks at me with is disappointment, anger, disgust, and – you get it.
She notices me next and claps her hands. “You must be Y/N!”
“Hi, Mrs. Gillespie. It’s so nice to meet you!” I extend a hand toward her.
“Aw, come here! You’re gorgeous.”
She pulls me in for a hug too, and for a moment I’m engulfed by the smell of white musk and the feeling of warmth.
We pull apart and I smile at her, genuinely. All my anxiety has washed away.
“My son is always talking about you, about how pretty you are and –”
“Let’s go inside!” Charlie quickly cuts her off, eyes widened as I laugh.
“But I wanna know what he says!”
Mrs Gillespie winks at me as Charlie turns scarlet. “I’ll tell you when he’s gone.”
***
Another roar of laughter erupts around the dinner table.
Honestly, I’ve never seen a family like this – a family so connected, so loving. All of Charlie’s siblings – from his three older brothers to his little sister are here for Christmas Eve, and all of them are teasing each other, telling childhood stories, and just having the best time. I was, too. That was until I suddenly realized how I don’t fit in here.
Everyone here grew up completely different than I did. When I was young, about two years old – my dad left my mom and I for another woman. I haven’t seen him since – although, he sends me a postcard and some money on holidays and birthdays. He’s travelling around the world with his new wife and is apparently ‘happier than he’s ever been.’
The reason he left is because kids ‘freak’ him out and he isn’t ‘ready’ for that kind of responsibility. I mean, it wasn’t like he was fifteen when he had me: he was twenty-seven, and already married to my mother for about two years then.
Naturally, my mother blames me for her divorce. I was born out of an accidental pregnancy, so my mother made sure to remind me every day that I was unwanted, and my birth was what ‘pushed’ him to leave us. Every single day, my mother told me that I shouldn’t have been born, that I was a mistake, that I was worthless, unlovable and so, so many more horrible things. She used to drink like crazy, and if I accidentally faced her in that state, she would sometimes hit me.
Years and years of abuse and all that childhood trauma led me to develop a fear of abandonment, trust issues, intimacy issues, anxiety, and depression. Throughout school, I had been closed off, unable to form relationships and friendships with other people. I had feared anything and everything – I couldn’t even maintain eye contact with people.
Of course, when I auditioned for CAOS and moved away to LA, away from that toxic environment, I got help and turned my life around. (My mother was incredibly happy to see me go since she had married another guy and now has a family with him – so I was the only thing left that reminded her of my father.) I learnt to accept, prioritize, and love myself – but I’m still working on that, of course.
But, I know, deep down, no matter how well I am, or how happy I am – there will always be a part of me that’s broken. I’ve grown to accept that, accept the fact that I’ll always carry the trauma with me.
But Charlie doesn’t. He’s lived a good life, and he deserves someone who can give him their everything – and that’s not me.
As much as I hate to say it, I’m not good enough for him.
He senses a change in my demeanour and squeezes my hand under the table. I give him a weak smile.
***
“Y/N/N, what’s wrong?”
I look up at my boyfriend. He has a look of concern on his face as he takes a seat next to me on the couch.
I sigh into the quiet. Everyone has fallen asleep, except Charlie and I – we are seated in his living room in front of the fireplace.
“Nothing. I’m just really tired.”
“That’s not true, Y/N. You were fine throughout dinner – oh my god, it’s the ice cream, isn’t it?”
“What?”
“The pistachio ice cream that Maman made. It was weirdly bitter, eh? It’s okay, you can tell me.”
I purse my lips. “No, Charlie. The ice cream was great.”
“Are you sure? You’ve been down since desert.”
“It’s not the ice cream, babe.”
“Okay, then, what is it?”
He looks at me expectantly, and I can sense that he’s feeling anxious.
“I just – I realized that I don’t fit in.”
He furrows his brows, but before he can say anything, I start speaking again. “Charlie, you have such a loving and perfect family. And you know how I grew up. What I went through. So, you know that I’m not used to this. I’m not – I’ve never seen love like this in a family, you know. And I don’t fit in here! While your mother was being so nice to me, I kept wondering when she’s going to scream at me. Or when your father was genuinely interested in me, I kept thinking that maybe he’s trying to find a way to get rid of me. It’s just – it’s just the way I grew up, and I’ll always be like this, Char. Your family is so nice, and it shocks me, honestly. And I think that maybe it’s better if you date someone who grew up the way you did, someone who’s like you. Because I have been broken my whole life, and I don’t think that I can give you everything that you need. I don’t think I’m good enough for you. You’re the best person that I’ve ever met, and I think you should be with someone who’s worthy of you.”
I whisper the last part, and feel a teardrop fall into the space between my collarbones. I look down because I’m too afraid of what he might say.
I hear him breathe out heavily and I feel him take my hands in his.
“Don’t you ever say that.”
“But it’s true –”
“Y/N. Don’t you dare doubt yourself. You are good enough. No, you’re perfect. You’re the strongest woman I know. I completely understand why you feel what you’re feeling right now.”
He scoots closer to me and cups my cheeks in his hands. “And it’s okay. It’s okay to feel that way. It’s okay to feel shocked. That doesn’t make you a bad person, nor does it make you not good enough. In fact, it makes all the stronger – you went through so much as a kid, and still, you have space in your heart for me. You know, I never doubt the fact that you love me, ever. Because you always make me feel special, make me feel good about myself and always make sure that I’m happy. You always go out of your way to take care of me, and you always make me feel at home. I don’t want anyone other than you. I love you so much and I never, ever wanna lose you.”
I think I’m fully crying now, as Charlie continues, “It’s okay to feel that way. Take your time. But I’m never leaving you. You’re my person, and you’ll always fit in with me, baby. Always.”
“Charlie…”
I look at him properly, and I can see the pain in his eyes as a tear traces along the curve of his cheek. He sniffs, saying, “I’m sorry. I just can’t imagine being with anyone other than you.”
“Why are you so good to me?” I whisper, my throat still tight from the emotions.
“Because you deserve someone good, and I can only hope that I’m good for you.”
I wrap my arms around his neck and bury my face in his shoulder as a sob escapes my body. “I’m so sorry, baby. So, so sorry.” I keep whispering that, while he rubs my back, saying ‘it’s okay.’
“I love you so much, Charlie. Honestly, thanks for being so good to me. You have no idea what you mean to me.”
I can feel him smile as he says, “I think I have a pretty good idea, yeah.”

TW: the end can be a bit violent
masterlist
We had realized our relationship wasn’t as bright as we had thought when an umpteenth rumor about us had spread between Hogwarts’ walls, at some point during our sixth year of school. It wasn’t the first, far from that, but it was definitely the worst because it also involved this Ravenclaw guy whose name was still unknown to me at the time. As far as I could tell, there had always been jealous girls that had tried to get Fred to dump me, and plenty of boys that wanted to convince me that they had more to offer than the Weasley boy. The only difference with this rumor was that Fred kinda despised said Ravenclaw boy because of a Quidditch match the year before, and he had turned his nervousness into a burst of anger I hadn’t anticipated. Problem is that, at the same time, I had heard Angelina telling Katie that Lee had told her that George had implied that Fred was seeing someone else, and just everything that had happened that year had gotten the best of me.
Our first break up had occurred a week after we had heard about these rumours, and during the rest of our sixth year and most of our seventh until now, we had ended our relationship twice more.
The worst in all of this was that I loved Fred. So fucking much. I loved him and I was ready to do anything for him, and I knew it was the same for him, but it was just not possible to keep a relationship as ours was. We didn’t have the same interests at all, Fred was obsessed with his shop project and me with the learning of defense against the dark arts (through Dumbledore’s army, of course). He was nonchalant and sometimes forgetful, I was fussy and very sensitive. When one of us was too busy, a date planned was quickly forgotten and the fight very likely to happen.
That’s why, as I was in my dorm trying to choose what to wear, the main question in my mind was to know if it was worth it. A few clothes were scattered on my bed, and two pairs of boots were thrown on the floor. It had been almost half an hour and I only had twenty minutes left before having to join Fred who would probably be waiting for me in the common room. I had hoped this little preparation session would help me ease my terrible mood but it seemed that it was a fail. Finally opting for comfortable jeans and one of Fred’s sweaters - even though we were almost in June, the week had been a bit cold - I spent the rest of my time reading again some transfiguration notes. I headed downstairs exactly twenty minutes later only to find the common room completely empty.
“Of course…” I muttered.
As soon as the portrait opened, the noise in the corridors broke the silence I had been plunged in for an hour. Some people were talking about the coming exams, others about the next class they would have. Not once did I hear my name in a conversation, which had become quite rare with the time. I had learned the hard way that people always had something to say about my relationship with Fred, and if there wasn’t any tasty gossip, then inventing one wasn’t a problem.
I found Fred in the great hall, sitting with George, Ron and Harry. They were all talking about something that had to be classified as a defence secret considering how they suddenly became interested in everything that wasn’t me. Ron and Harry turned to Hermione, who was sitting at the table behind them, and George patted Fred’s shoulder before nodding at me and leaving without a word. It was usual, this taciturn behaviour George had when I was here; we had never gotten along that well, and if I was being honest, it was probably another problem between Fred and I.
We headed outside and took the road to Hogsmeade. We were walking next to each other, our hands brushing every now and then without ever really touching. The distance had become natural, touches were rare now and it was in moments like these that I hated it the most. Hating on the happy couples we saw on our way was easier than trying to find something nice to talk about, so that’s what I did. Fred looked like he was lost in his world and he only gave me some attention when he pushed the Three Broomsticks’ door for me. We found a table against a window, which provided a nice warmth, and Fred put his jacket on the chair.
“Butterbeer or hot chocolate?”
“You know the answer.” I said, playing with my sleeve.
“So it’ll be hot chocolate with chamallows for the damsel.”
He left with a smile to order our drinks, leaving me alone for a good five minutes. When he came back, a pint of butterbeer in one hand and a mug of hot chocolate in the other, I had had plenty of time to ruminate over everything I had decided to talk about with him during the past two days. However, the chuckle that shook his shoulders when he told me about the guy who had just tripped with three bottles of butterbeer in his hands stopped me. It could be a good afternoon, and these were too rare for my liking. It happened of course, our relationship wasn’t absolute hell, but it had definitely worsened with the time.
“Y/N, you okay? You look quite pale.” Fred was looking at me with concern in the eyes. “No, don’t tell me: I bet a galleon you’ve been working on your potion essay until very very late at night. How right am I?”
“Very right,” I muttered before passing a hand on my face. “I don’t get it. How can you spend so little time on your work without being at least a little bit nervous?”
“You know I don’t really care about all of this. I’ve got other priorities and bigger ambitions.”
“I know, but you’ll need this knowledge, won’t you?”
Fred was keen to avoid another argument, and he sighed loudly.
“We’ve already talked about this Y/N, George and I can do without all this scolar stuff. Plenty of people have done that already.”
“I know, I know.”
“I’m sorry we’ve spent all that time arguing.” added Fred after a pause. “It’s not time we can gain back.”
“Maybe we can’t,” I began cautiously, “but we can try to do better. Try not to lose more time.”
“It’s not like we have more time to lose anyway.” Another pause. “Do you want to take a walk? Looks like it’s getting warmer outside.”
We got up and exited the pub. Indeed, the sun was higher in the sky and its rays weren’t hidden by clouds. The warmth on my face was more than welcome, and the pleasant sensation made me forget Fred’s last sentence.
This time, he grabbed my hand and we exchanged jokes on the way back to the castle. We bumped into a few friends and even one or two professors, but most of the time it was just Fred and I. Until the moment we arrived near the castle entrance, that is.
“Hey Y/L/N, how are you?”
A Slytherin guy stepped in front of me, obliging me to stop and pull on Fred’s hand. The least I could say was that he didn’t look pleased at all with the interruption. The Slytherin didn’t look like he gave a care and kept smiling at me.
“I was thinking, we could go to Hogsmeade together one of these days. I mean, I guess you want to cover your back, so I’m here if-”
I wanted this pretentious git to shut up, and it looked like Fred had read in my mind because his fist collided with the nose of the guy with a disgusting noise of cracked bone.
“That’s what you get for trying to ask my girlfriend out.” he muttered before grabbing my hand.
I should have said something, whether thank you or are you crazy? but in all honesty I was trying to calm my heart, which was beating like crazy. It was rare to hear such words from Fred’s mouth or so it had become, but hearing him calling me his girlfriend, punching a guy that was hitting on me, that gave me hope for our couple.
And it made it even more painful when, a few weeks later, Fred left Hogwarts with George on his broom without a word to me. Without something as simple as a glance behind. All I could do was watch helplessly as he saluted Peeves and flew away and try to process the fact that he was giving up on me. Did that mean that we weren’t together anymore? That he had decided on his own he had enough of me, that I wasn’t worth the effort? It’s right here, alone in this crowded corridor after the most crazy departure from the castle we had witnessed, that I understood the meaning of what Fred had told me back at the Three Broomsticks, during our last date. It’s not like we have more time to lose anyway. What an idiot I had been! Here I was, thinking he was talking about the war, persuaded that he was just being extremely pessimistic, when he was in fact confessing that he was going to leave the castle and basically dump me without having the decency to assume it in front of me! I got back to my dorm, trying my best to keep a neutral face as I knew most of the students I would bump into were going to search for the slightest ounce of pain on my face. I only let my walls crumble when I got to the common room, and the first sobs left my mouth when the door of the dorm was closed.
I threw myself on my bed and grabbed the pillow that I wedged underneath my chest. The anger would come later; for now, I needed to cry as many tears as I had in stock. I stayed in my bed the rest of the day, did surprisingly well in faking sleep when the dorm filled, and spent an agitated night. When I got up the next morning, my first thought was to wonder why my head was so heavy and painful, and when I remembered, my second thought was that it was time for anger. I grabbed my prettiest shirt, slipped in a particularly fitting pair of jeans, and watched myself in the mirror, hoping to fool people enough to avoid questions. At the sight of my dull skin, my eye bags and my glossy eyes, I realized the most beautiful clothes in the world wouldn’t make me feel better, so I sighed, grabbed my bag, sighed again and left the dorm with one goal: forgetting Fred Weasley, my love for him and the pain he had caused me.
_ _ _
A few months later, it had become very obvious that I had failed that goal. I was still full of resentment toward Fred and what he had done, and I was able to get really irritated when someone reminded me of him in any way. The fact that I had gotten involved completely in the Order and that most of his family was in it too didn’t help at all and it had led to a few encounters I would have given anything to avoid. Fortunately, he was busy with his joke shop and we never saw each other long enough to say more than hello. Well, that was before Mrs Weasley organized a diner at the Burrow with a few members of the Order, me included.
She had been particularly pleased to see me, and Ginny had confessed it was because her mother was persuaded I would run away.
“You know, because of the git I have to call my brother.” she had added with a disapproving pout.
Ginny had been very disappointed in Fred when he had left, not because of school because she would have done the same if she could but because he had left me on the sidelines. She was a good friend and confident, and even though family was everything to her, she had assured me she would never forgive Fred for what she used to call “a very stupid mistake”. However, as I was squeezed on the couch between her and Tonks, all the support she could provide me wasn’t enough considering the fact that Fred was only a meter or two away and his eyes were fixed on me. I was repeating myself that it didn’t matter, I didn’t care, it didn’t matter, but his gaze seemed to be getting heavier as the minutes passed by. It took me a good quarter of an hour to gather enough courage to look directly at him with the idea of making him understand he was annoying me, but the strange sparkle in his eyes intrigued me more than it should and I found myself looking away faster than what my ego could accept. A few seconds later, his hand was on my shoulder.
“Do you mind if we talk?”
Ginny’s elbow hit my ribs repetitively until I sighed. I got up without a word and lifted an eyebrow, which Fred interpreted as a positive answer and apparently as an authorization to grab my hand.
“Don’t go too far.” I warned before removing my hand and walking toward the stairs.
I didn’t know how this would turn out as we hadn’t had any proper conversation since he had left months ago. All this rancour I had built up was ready to resurface at any moment, and I wanted to do my best to avoid the disaster. That’s why I decided it would be better if this conversation happened on a ground as neutral as possible, which would be complicated considering the fact that I was in his childhood home, but not impossible. I settled for a room I was sure wasn’t the twins’, maybe Bill’s, and if he wondered why this choice, Fred never questioned it out loud. The door closed behind his back, and I was surprised to notice that it didn’t cause me any anxiety.
“You look tired.” he finally said with a certain hesitation when he understood I wouldn’t speak first.
Quite honestly, I had imagined a lot of things, but certainly not this.
“I’m- what? What does that mean?” I added with a grunt.
“It means I think you look tired. Is it that surprising?”
“That you’re concerned for my well-being? Since you left school without telling me and didn’t give me any news I have to admit that yes, it’s surprising!”
It was too late to contain my anger as it seemed, and I decided the best I could do was leave the room before exploding. It was without counting on Fred though, who visibly didn’t want me to leave.
“Get out of the way Fred, there’s nothing left to say.”
“That’s where you’re wrong, there’s everything to say.”
We looked each other in the eyes for quite a long time, and I eventually sighed before looking away, too afraid of the heartbeat my heart missed.
“I know you don’t want to hear it, but I’m sorry for what I did.”
“You’re right, I don’t want to hear it.”
“I wanted to tell you, really, I did, but things weren’t great between us and… I don’t know, I didn’t think that much.” I scoffed and took a step backward. Fred’s eyes were filled with what I had a hard time admitting was sadness - or regret, maybe? - and they followed every movement I made to sit on the bed. “Listen Y/N, back then I really loved you and I still love you now. But this thing between us… It turned out not good at all, it wasn’t healthy for us to keep it the way it was.”
“So you think you only had two options? You decided by yourself you had to choose between staying with me and keep suffering or leaving without a word?” My voice was maybe a bit louder than intended, but it was too late to keep my heart closed. He wanted a discussion, he would have it. “You never for a second imagined we could make it work again? Fred, what you did was breaking my heart, nothing else!”
“And I broke mine in the process.”
“I- I don’t believe you. You’re the one who made the decision, you are the responsible. You are responsible!”
Fred looked away, and I could have sworn he was tearing up. All the words he could have come up with wouldn’t have changed my mind, but the tears that were now threatening to run down his face made my anger falter. It wasn’t pity but comprehension; these tears, they had covered my face so many times these last months and even before that I could recognize them undoubtedly. I was blaming Fred for leaving me, and even if I wouldn’t forgive him for the way he did it, blaming him for wanting a true breakup would be hypocritical. After all, hadn’t I thought about it myself? The only difference was that Fred had been brave enough to end it, not me. But that didn’t make the abandon any less painful, or these last months any less hard to think about.
“Why now? It’s been months, why do you apologize now?”
Fred sniffed quietly and passed his hand on his face, wiping away a few tears in the process.
“Would you have let me apologize before?” Of course not, I would have punched him and left. “We were both hating me for what I did Y/N, and… I know I’m not pardonable, I just want you to understand that I regret and that no matter what happened, I’ll always be there if you need me.”
“I’ll be too Fred, trust me. But you’re right, you’re not pardonable.”
And I left without saying anything else, closed quietly the door between Fred and I, and it felt like it was the definitive end for us.
_ _ _
Something like three weeks later, the situation of the wizarding world had worsened exponentially. Attacks from death eaters were getting more and more common, and this toward muggles, blood traitors and members of the Order. Two weeks ago, I had participated in my first real monitoring mission with Tonks, and that had made me a veritable member of the Order with all the dangers that it implied. My relationship with Fred had become a bit better after our conversation at the Burrow and he had been the first to show worry about me. An hour or so before my departure for the mission with Tonks, he had left the shop to find me and tell me to keep the Dumbledore’s Army galleon so that he could know if I was in trouble. I had accepted because I wanted him to leave but with time, I had concluded that having it with me was reassuring. I would have never admitted it in front of him though.
A few days ago, Fred had invited me for a special evening at the shop that was organized for the presentation of a new product. He had refused to tell me anything about it and had assured me I would find it hilarious. I wanted to go but the thought of spending an evening with him still made me uncomfortable. Finally, I had accepted on the condition that Ginny was coming with me.
The first thought that crossed my head when I apparated in Diagon Alley is that never in my life would I have thought it possible to see it so empty, so lifeless. Almost all the boutiques I had visited so many times were closed, some because the owner had stopped their activity for a question of security and others because of much darker reasons. My eyes found the only bright light of the alley and I picked up the pace to reach the twins’ shop quicker. All the customers were hurrying inside, they probably felt as oppressed as I did.
“Here you are!” exclaimed Ginny when I reached the door. “I was beginning to think you had changed your mind. Glad you didn’t though, George told me what the new product is and it really seems fun.”
I hummed absent-mindedly as my eyes left the floor to wander around me. Trying to convince myself I wasn’t looking for Fred would have been stupid and a loss of time, so I just grumbled once more at my weakness and asked Ginny where her brother was.
“Probably in the back shop preparing his grand entrance. Come on, let’s get closer to the stage.”
If she didn’t make any comment, I didn’t miss her smirk as she grabbed my hand to drag me through the crowd of customers. We finally reached the stage that was occupying all the space in this part of the shop, and I found an empty spot somewhere on the left. On the stage was a huge white cover that was hiding what looked like a board and a table one behind the other, and I barely had the time to think that it was a very simple installation before the twins made their appearance. Everyone cheered and especially the younger ones and Ginny. For my part, I adopted a small smile that widened when Fred winked at me - against my will, I promise.
“Ladies and gentlemen,” began Fred.
“Dear customers,” continued George.
“Let us present to you our latest product.”
“It is the result of a long work of research and development-”
“And your future darling, it’s a promise.”
George waved his wand and the cover disappeared.
At first, the silence seemed very heavy, and I couldn’t help but wonder what the hell had happened in their heads to create such a thing in times like these. Then, a kid in the audience giggled, and it seemed to relax everyone; laughter burst and some were already shaking their wallet. Ginny was applauding and shaking her head. The twins’ smiles widened and they got off of the platform to reach out to their customers.
It was fun indeed, but I couldn’t help but wonder if they truly measured the impact of what they had just done.
_ _ _
“U-no-poo Fred? Really?”
Fred giggled as if I had just told him a very good joke he had never heard before.
“You have to admit that’s pretty clever!”
“That’s not clever, that’s stupid and not fun at all and- and that’s dangerous Fred!”
His gaze softened, but he didn’t let go of that cocky smirk.
“Y/N, would you happen to be worried?”
“No, I was just thinking your instinct for survival was better than that.” My averted eyes didn’t mislead anyone though. “I don’t want you to get in trouble for this Fred, that’s all.”
“I won’t, don’t worry.” He hesitated for a second, and our eyes fell on the hand he had lifted and stopped above my shoulder. I didn’t say anything and he squeezed it gently. “These laughter earlier, that’s why we’re taking the risk. You have your way to fight the darkness, I have mine, that’s all.” I didn’t find anything to reply to that. “You know, I didn’t think you would come tonight, even Ginny was doubtful. And given the look on your face when I told you about it I thought you would refuse, really.” Fred paused and his fingers clenched lightly against my shoulder once more. “Why did you decide otherwise?”
That was a good question. Why? I had spent the last few days trying to figure out why the first answer in my head had been immediate and positive, why my heart had first beaten like crazy at the thought of seeing Fred again instead of aching as it used to, why I couldn’t hate him as much as I thought I did, as much as I thought I had to. Suddenly, some customer’s shoulder collided with my back with enough strength to make me lose my balance. The position we ended up in felt natural, as if Fred’s torso had always been there for me to rest my head on it and his hands were meant to be on my back.
“I had missed this.” I murmured, and I felt his agreement through the vibrating of his body.
I timidly encircled him with my own arms, and the feeling was so unhoped for, I had craved it for so long, that I found myself unable to move away from him. The more time passed by and the tighter our embrace was until it became almost difficult to breathe.
“Maybe I should…” muttered Fred before loosening his hold, but without letting go of me. “Never again,” he added with a smile, and it didn’t take long for me to realize what it meant. “I’m not leaving you again.”
And as cliché as it could sound, I read the truth in his eyes. The pain, the regrets, the way he had been hating himself everyday for what he had done, but also comprehension because he knew I had been feeling the same. The Weasley sparkle was here too, bright and vivid and loving, and his smile was wider than every smile I had ever seen. I was probably looking the same, and if I wasn’t, I was definitely experiencing this euphoria that was shaking every cell of my body and making my heart beat so fast.
“I really want to kiss you right now.” Fred’s voice was low, but it was the only thing I heard.
“Do it then.”
“Let me finish darling. I want to kiss you so bad, but I don’t deserve it, not after what I did to you. Give me some time to earn it, okay? We’ll make it work again, I’ll make it work again.”
I nodded, torn by two completely opposite emotions. I was grateful because Fred wanted us to become a loving couple again, and disappointed because I needed him, so much that it hurt. But after all this time, it wouldn’t have felt right, and after all maybe it was for the best. Suddenly, I became aware again of the noise in the shop: dozens of customers were still talking happily about their purchase and congratulating George.
“I should go back home. It’s… It’s a lot to take in.”
“I know, don’t worry.” Fred smiled and kissed my hair. I gave him my back and took barely two steps toward the door before he grabbed my hand. “Wait Y/N, I’ll feel much better if you let me walk you home. It’s dangerous outside and I don’t want anything to happen to you.”
“You shouldn’t leave your little party, Freddie. Don’t worry for me, I’ll apparate as soon as I can, okay?”
“You have the galleon, right?”
“Yes Fred, I have it, and yes I’ll warn you when I’m home.”
He nodded and let go of my hand. I sneaked through the crowd of customers and reached the door. I was on the verge of opening it when Fred’s voice echoed.
“Are you going to leave without a U-no-poo Y/N?”
“Who told you I needed one?”
Fred chuckled, and I only looked away when the door closed. The alley was still somber, and the same dying feeling was floating in the air, but my heart was lighter than it had been in months. I was so happy that nothing could have tarnished my joy, or so I thought.
It’s my training as a new Order member that kicked in and made me dodge the first curse. As the only remaining window of Ollivander’s shop exploded, two dark silhouettes made their appearance between the twins’ shop and I, making it impossible for me to reach any safe place on this side of the alley. What I feared was confirmed when at least two other death eaters’ feet hit the paving stones.
All of this had happened in a second, and I reached for the magical galleon in my pocket before anything else. An instant later, I was forced to dive to the ground with my hand still stuck in my jeans. I got up quickly and drew my wand. It was too late. Something burnt my back with such intensity that the heat spread to the core of my body. Through the excruciating pain, my dizzy brain noticed that there wasn’t a sound that left my mouth, and soon my knees hit the ground. My arms refused to obey and I found myself falling forward without anything to shield my head. The shock was brutal as the rest of the scene. The death eaters left without anything else, word or curse, and soon the noise made by their footsteps disappeared. It felt like an eternity before someone else arrived whereas it had probably been less than two minutes. Time definitely seemed to stop when I realized it was Fred.
“Y/N, what’s- oh god, Y/N, can you hear me? Please tell me you’re still with me… Y/N!”
His arms slipped underneath my limp body. Even the heat he gave me as he was hugging me against his torso wasn’t enough to dissipate the icy cold in my bones. He was calling for help, desperate to be heard as it seemed like we were both glued to the paving stones.
“Please Y/N, tell me- tell me I’m dreaming. This- This is all in my head, it’s all happening in my head... Right? Y/N, say something, please!” I wished I could have reassured him, but my strength was leaving me. “I still have to gain back your love, Y/N you can’t leave me… You can’t…”
Fred was almost sobbing now, shouting to whatever cruel god was watching him that he couldn’t live without me, screaming pleas and crying at this unfairness. His arms were still holding me, and even this feeling was slowly vanishing; soon, I wondered if I had ever felt it and the only answer I could get was the aching in my body that had nothing to do with the curse.
Death wasn’t that bad, after all, less painful than life, and I wished Fred could read it in my mind.

Diabolik Lovers DARK FATE ー Reiji [VAMPIRE ENDING]
Monologue
Reiji-san draws his sabre.
The inescapable dark fate,
is now set into motionーー
*Cling*
Reiji: ーー Father, be prepared.
Karlheinz: Hmph...You too, have grown a lot.
*Cling*
Karlheinz: Well then, this is the beginning of the end.
You should use that sword to question.
Both mine, as well as your own feelings.
And, try to surpass me. My son, Reiji.
Reiji: ...
Yui: ( Reiji-san...! )
ー Yui closes her eyes
*Cling*
*CLASH*
*STAB*
Yui: ...
( ...Everything went silent? How did it end...? )
ー She opens her eyes again
Karlheinz: ...Ugh...
Yui: ...!!
( Reiji-san’s sabre has pierced through Karlheinz’s chest... )
Reiji: Haah...Haah...
Karlheinz: ...Excellent...job...Outstanding, Reiji...
...Uu.
ー Karlheinz collapses
*Thud*
Yui: Karlheinz-san...!!
Reiji: ...Father...!!
*Cling*
ー Reiji rushes to his side
Reiji: Hang in there, Father...!!
Karlheinz: Uu...
Yui: ( The left side of his chest has been pierced... )
( He may be a Vampire, but when stabbed through the heart this badly, there’s just no way he’d... )
Reiji: ...Why did you hold back!?
You are the mighty King of Vampires, Karlheinz. There is no way you would lose to your mere son...
Karlheinz: I did not hold back...You simply surpassed me in strength, that’s all...
Reiji: No way...
Karlheinz: Heh...Why are you making that face...?
You finally...defeated me...You should look a little happier...
I’m pleased, you see...?
Because not only was I taken down by none other than my own blood, I get to spend my final moments in the arms of my son like this...
Reiji: Father...
Karlheinz: Like this, I can finally put an end to it...This long...everlasting life, can finally draw to a close...
Right now, I can only feel joy...
Thank you, Reiji...You are the one, true Adam.
...Guh...
Reiji: Father...!
...What have I done...?
...Uu.
Yui: ( ...I never thought I’d see Reiji-san, who is always so composed, cry out his eyes like this... )
( Death may be something considered a blessing amongst Vampires. )
( But even so, the pain and grieve felt from losing a loved one, is no different between Vampires and humans. )
( If not, he would not be crying right now. )
Karlheinz: ...Why do you cry? This was your wish, no?
Reiji: I...
I loved you. You were the only person in this world I truly respected.
Therefore, I wanted you to turn my way. To acknowledge me. To love me.
I wanted you to look at me...even more than at Shuu...!
Yui: Reiji-san...
Karlheinz: ...No need to tell me, I already know.
Reiji: Father...
Karlheinz: Did you realize? Why I gave you that pocket watchーー
Why I gifted you the pocket watch of demise...?
Reiji: Was it...to praise me for my mental strength?
Karlheinz: Exactly. And that was my wish as well...
Reiji: Your wish...?
Karlheinz: I wanted you to be strong.
While you may not be the eldest son, you understand me better than anyone, always trying to follow in my footsteps.
And now, you have surpassed me...
Therefore...You must stay strong. In the past, and in the future as well...
...
Reiji: What is...!?
Yui: ( Karlheinz-san’s body is fading away...? )
Karlheinz: ...Show me your hand, Reiji.
Reiji: Eh...?
*Woosh*
Reiji: ...! This is...
Yui: What’s wrong?
Reiji: Something is...flowing inside of me...Wave after wave...
Ugh...Guh...Aaah...!!
Yui: Reiji-san...!?
Reiji: Haah...Haah...
Father...What on earth did you...?
Karlheinz: I entrusted you with my powers. Use that to bring an end to the demon species.
Reiji: To the demon species...? What do you meanーー
...Don’t tell me...!
Karlheinz: Exactly...The report on the Endzeit gene...You saw it, did you not?
Reiji: Yes...
Karlheinz: In that case, I suppose I do not need to explain any further.
Reiji: Father...!
Yui: Karlheinz-san...!
Karlheinz: ...This is farewell. Reiji, Eve.
You must work together, and guide this world...
Into the right direction...
Until it reaches its ideal state.
ー Karlheinz disappears
Reiji: ...No way...
Yui: ( Karlheinz-san vanished... )
Reiji: ...Father...
Yui: Reiji-san...
( My words of comfort would mean nothing to him right now... )
( The only thing I can do, is quietly join his side. )
ー She carefully approaches
Reiji: Yui...
*Rustle*
Yui: Ah...
Reiji: ...Father has entrusted me with his powers.
That means he wants me to follow in his footsteps.
Yui: Yes...
Reiji: In what waits ahead, a daunting dark fate will most likely stand in our way.
Will you stay with me regardless?
Will you love me?
Yui: Of course. How could I ever want to leave you?
I will follow you. And I will always be by your side.
Reiji: ...Thank you, Yui.
I will never let go of you either. Even if you would wish to do so yourself.
Neverーー
Shin: ーー Seems like Karlheinz has kicked the bucket.
Yui: Carla-san! Shin-kun!
( Why are they here...? )
Carla: I knew you had it in you, Reiji. It did take you long enough, however.
Yui: What do you mean...?
Shin: Reiji swore his loyalty to Nii-san in exchange for getting Ayato back.
Then, Nii-san ordered him to kill Karlheinz.
Yui: ( So that’s what happened... )
Carla: Reiji. You attempted to make things work in your favor...But I am the winner of this game.
This is checkmate.
Reiji: ...
Yui: Reiji-san...
Reiji: ...No, victory is mine.
Carla: I beg your pardon...?
Reiji: ...Heh...Haha...
Power is overflowing within me...A force so strong, it could probably destroy this whole world...!
ー He tosses his glasses aside
Reiji: ーー I doubt I will lose.
Yui: ( Reiji-san...? For some reason, the mood suddenly.... )
Shin: What nonsense are you spouting? Did you go crazy from killing your own Father, perhaps?
Carla: ...Shin, be careful. Something is off.
Reiji: Hmph. ...Weaklings.
Shin: Uu, aah...!
Carla: Guh...!
*Thud*
Yui: !!
( No way...How did he send the two of them flying just from extending his hand...? )
Carla: What on earth...?
Reiji: Seems like you did not consider that I would inherit my Father’s powers, First Bloods.
Carla: Excuse me...?
Reiji: This is your loss. Get out of my sight.
Yui: Reiji-san...!!
*WOOSH*
Yui: Uu...
( What happened...? )
Reiji: Are you okay, Yui?
Yui: Reiji-san...Where are Carla-san and Shin-kun...?
Reiji: I threw them into oblivion using my powers. I doubt they will ever make it out again.
Yui: ( He defeated those powerful Founders in just the blink of an eye... )
( This is Karlheinz-san’s power... )
Ayato: Oi, Chichinashi...!
Yui: Ayato-kun! Shuu-san as well!
Shuu: Yo...
Yui: ( ...! He’s terribly wounded...Could it have been the Founders...? )
Ayato: Geez, you just recklessly dashed out of the castle. Well, glad to see you’re safe at least.
Look, I was so kind to save Shuu’s ass. Better be grateful?
Shuu: You didn’t exactly save me. Ayato just happened to pass by right as I made it out of the Founders’ castle on my own.
Ayato: S-Shut up! Why fuss ‘bout the details?
Shuu: ...More importantly, what happened to the Founders?
They left the castle, leaving me behind, so I was convinced they would be headed towards Reiji...
Yui: Well...
Reiji: ...I took care of them.
Shuu: What...?
Ayato: You took them down? All by yourself?
Reiji: Yes.
Ayato: No way...Those dudes were hella strong. How did you...?
Shuu: ...
...You inherited the Old Man’s powers, didn’t you?
Reiji: Hmph. ...I expected no less from you, Shuu. Sharp as always.
We will part ways here.
Ayato: Aah? What are you sayin’?
Anyway, you’ve been kinda weird this whole time, you know? Is somethin’ wrong?
Reiji: I am still myself. I have simply been entrusted with an important duty.
Ayato: Haah...?
Reiji: The Demon World will soon be swallowed by waves of conflict. Until all demons roaming these lands have taken their final breath...
Therefore, you guys should retreat to the human world.
Ayato: What will you do?
Reiji: I have a duty to fulfill. I must keep this promise I made to Father.
Together with Yui...
Yui: Reiji-san...
( The words Karlheinz-san left behind. We must join forces, and guide the world towards its ideal state... )
( Reiji-san wants to realize that. As the one following in Karlheinz-san’s footsteps. )
Shuu: ...Gotcha.
Ayato: Oi, Shuu...!
Shuu: Let’s go, Ayato. There’s no point in us staying here any longer.
...Yui.
Yui: Yes...?
Shuu: I’m leaving Reiji in your care.
Yui: ...
Ayato: The fuck? Geez...
Oi, Reiji. You better drop by every now and then, ‘kay? Things just don’t feel the same without you ‘round.
Reiji: ...I will consider it.
ー Shuu and Ayato leave
Yui: ( They both left... )
( We might never see each other again... )
( However, even so, Iーー )
Reiji: Come here, Yui.
Yui: Ah...
Reiji: The lunar eclipse will soon come to an end. Let us witness it from here.
The dawn to a new world.
Yui: Yes...
( Even so, I will follow Reiji-san. I will never leave his side. )
( Together, foreverーー )
*TIMESKIP*
Yui: ( ーー In what followed, Reiji-san used the powers he inherited from Karlheinz-san to put an end to all demonic species. )
( He eventually defeated even the Vibora, solidifying his position as the Demon Overlord who stands at the very top of the whole Demon World. )
Reiji: ーー Almost all life in the Demon World has ceased to exist. It is basically just us two at this point.
It is quiet. Truly comfortable.
Yui: I agree.
( Soon everything will come to an end. )
( I am sure that this is the end of time ーー what that pocket watch was meant to point out. )
Reiji: Yui, come closer...
*Rustle rustle*
On certain CGs, little black roses will appear on the screen. If you click on them, you get an extra line of dialogue.
“It is only because you supported me at all times, that I am able to stand here right now. My feelings for you have not changed at all. ーー And I doubt they will ever waver. I will continue to love only you, for eternity.”
“As long as you love me, I feel as if I can accomplish anything. I want you to remain by my side, until the moment I finally fulfill Father’s wish which he entrusted me with.
Yui: Ah...
Reiji: Right now, we are still in the process of demise ーー There is still some time left until everything truly comes to an end.
Yui: Yes...
Reiji: However, even if that moment has passed, I will continue to protect you.
Yui: You made that promise before as well, didn’t you?
Reiji: Yes. Even now that I have become the Demon Lord, that has not changed.
My beloved Yui...
No matter what kind of destiny lies ahead of us, we will always be together.
Forever, and everーー
Yui: ( I will stay by Reiji-san’s side forever as well. )
( At all times, no matter what happens, I will continue to support him. )
( Until the end, and beyondーー )
ーー THE END ーー
