Self-Aware!Sylus who realizes he’s in a game when he can sense your energy on the other side of a phantom wall. He can hear you squealing when he calls you honey and you're radiating happiness when you send him random emojis.

Self-Aware!Sylus who finally sees you when he happens to be looking around during a photoshoot and sees your shocked face when he makes eye contact. He smirks and turns back to the in-game version of you. “Why are you out there?” You dropped your phone and stared at it in shock. Did Sylus just ….. talk to you? You muttered a low ‘Hello?’ but got no response. You brushed it off as you just being tired and on the game too long.

Self-Aware!Sylus who manages to create a keyboard in your chat so he can actually text you. You were so confused when you opened it and it allowed you to type without just pressing a prompt. You gave it a spin with a quick ‘Hey Sylus’ something simple. Of course the message was read immediately and he replied with a ‘Hello [your name]’ you stared at the screen in shock not knowing if this was a new update or if you were just going crazy.

Self-Aware!Sylus who chuckles when he sees you pouting because you didn’t get his card so when you close the app and lay down he gifts you the card himself. You opened the app and the first thing Sylus says to you is “I don’t like seeing you sad, check your memories I left a gift for you”. When you open your memories you see that you not only got his most recent card but all of his five star memories. “What's happening here?” “You’re smile is so captivating I just had to see it again”

Self-Aware!Sylus who opens the app randomly throughout the day so he can see you “I haven’t seen you all day what are you doing?” causing you to snatch your phone off the table because he always seems to catch you when you’re at work or around a group of people. “Sylus I'm at work I'll call you when I get off” he crosses his arms and seems to be pouting? “I don’t like how much you have to work I don’t see you as often” “Well not all of us are billionaires some of us work for said billionaires to make a living” “I wish I could take care of you….” “You and me both”

Self-Aware!Sylus who teases you when he wins a game of kitty cards or who uses his evol to get every stuffed animal for you when you get frustrated. “You sure do wear your heart on your sleeves sweetie”

Self-Aware!Sylus who stares directly at you when you’re doing a photoshoot with your in-game MC “Sylus focus on her so I can get the picture” “I want to focus on you though” “She is me” “…..she’s not”

Self-Aware!Sylus who tells you not to fall in love because he’s not real, but he falls head over heels in love with you anyway. From the late night conversations of you explaining your world to him and just talking about everything and nothing at the same time. He can’t help it one night when you’re up late on the phone as always he just has to ask “Do you love me?” you’re shocked by his question, but swiftly answer with a shy “Yea I do”

Where do I start with this?

I am so overwhelmed with how good this game is. Let's get into the general aesthetics of the game. When I tell you that it's so satisfyingly pretty, I don't think you really get it. The art style is so captivating like...I can't explain it, but you'll know what I'm talking about when you see it. It's something straight out of a children's storybook. It's so whimsical and so cozy and so...like look at this.

LOOK AT THIS.

These are the woods that we get lost in. I understand that we were supposed to be nervous for our life in this frame, but look at the scenery! And if you think that looks pretty, just look at this man Mychael's HOUSE.

He really said that this could be us all day, everyday. He done made his house into a home. And don't get me started on his garden area.

Ugh, I could literally go on and on about how much I loved the art style in this game. I am literally obsessed. Enough about that though, let's get into the real deal: the game.

I'm really excited about the development of this game, so bear with me. I'm going to give as much detail without giving away the story because I NEED you to play this for yourself, and I don't want to take its charm away by telling you exactly what happened. Trust me, it's so worth it! Remember though: it's just a demo.

So, boom, this whole thing kicks off because we lost our cat.

Obviously, we have to go looking for our family, so we take off one day and pretty much raw-dog it in these woods, but we had a little bit of sense -- we brought a compass. It proves to be useless though because, tell me why, as soon as we get lost, it gets lost, too. Like lmao what?

It's no big deal though because this kind stranger comes along and takes care of us. This stranger's name is Mychael. Say "hey" to the bae, everybody.

Hey, boo~!

All right, so we're chilling in his house, and he makes us some bomb food with some tea but...things get a little awkward at dinner. We basically find out that the spelling of Mychael's name isn't the only thing about him that's different -- it's actually him that's different, too. This is bae though, so, we just accept him for who he is because the man is so sweet ... then again, I'm not entirely sure if these are our own thoughts right now, but he does feel safe, and he isn't exactly treating us bad. Like, the man gave us his bed to sleep in while he just made camp on the floor. Talk about a gentleman.

So, the next day comes along, and he's pretty excited because, not only are we here to enjoy the next day with him, he has a surprise for us. Okay bet! We get ready in a, surprisingly, nice bathroom with some more than decent plumbing, enjoy some bomb food once again (courtesy of Mychael, thanks bae), and head on out. We see his garden and, oh my gosh, he has chickens!! Look at this cutie with his chicken.

But as cute as he is ... we still haven't found our cat. Unfortunately, we kind've had to remind him we had to go home because at the end of the day, he hasn't put a ring on it, we have a whole job, and yeah, gots to go. Of course, he's sad about this, and he's like "Well, let me just show you this one other thing, and I promise, I'll take you straight home!" Mychael is literally as wholesome as they come at this point -- how could one refuse? Then again, are we even able to refuse him...?

So, yeah, we go with him, and it is so worth it because where he took us was so magical! There are no words to describe the beauty of where he took us. I'm so tempted to show you guys, but I don't want to ruin more than I already have. I won't leave you hanging though! Just picture this clearing with all these butterflies and flowers and just the absolutely perfect amount of sunlight to set the whole "this place is amazing!" mood and just the right amount of shade to enjoy it all in. If you're picturing it correctly, that scenery should be on point, and you should feel an instant sense of calm and awe mixed into one.

Aside from that though, as nice as this was, we still had to get home. So, we remind him -- for, like, the third time -- "Hey, I really need to head out", because granted, the man knows this forest, but we still didn't want to run the risk of it getting dark and us walking around in it for however long it takes us to get back. Here's where it starts to get weird...

If it wasn't obvious, Mychael is laying down the rizz somewhat thick. He may not understand the concept of cosplay or family or even how it's "mama mia" and not "maummer mee-ya", but he knows how to woo a person! or at least manipulate them Like, he is putting in work to be MYchael, you feel me? So much so, he just brushes off that whole speech about us needing to go home, and instead, just tells us to relax. I don't know what it is about that man, but ooh, his voice. You just can't say "no" sometimes! So, we do. We relax, and frankly, feel kind've sleepy because we are so relaxed. Mychael seizes opportunity and starts showing off his musical skillz. Man's literally serenading -- well, more specifically lulling -- us, playing the most calmest of tunes on his little instrument. Everything just feels so nice, relaxing, and safe... oh shit!

We snap awake. We done fell asleep on this man, which is cute and all, but we have to get home neow! Mychael stops playing games finally, and for real, for real starts to take us home. Before we get too far though, we stop at a creek so we can freshen up. We catch a glimpse of Mychael in our reflection, and he catches a glimpse of us which makes him look at himself, and...the reaction was so heartbreaking yet so relateable.

You know how sometimes when you look in the mirror, all you see is your flaws, and it gives you (hopefully, only) a brief sense of ick? Well, his was past that. It was completely self-loathing in that look, and nu-uh, we do not support Mychael slander in this household! So, now it's our time to turn on the charm, and...we may have laid it too thick and too well because now he's blushing, we're blushing, and then he whispers something to himself, and now Mr. Righteous comes out.

Now, he's determined to try to find our cat (...lmao), but he's like "That means you've gotta stay for another day, though!" with this really intense look on his face. Once again -- and for like the fifth time now! The man is sweet, but he has a poor concept of "no means no" -- we're like "That's sweet, but I gots to go". Boom. We start feeling sick, real sick. Like, we had this weird feeling before while we had been hanging out with him, but now it's intense, and it literally takes us down. Mychael had to catch us or else we were gonna hit the ground. So, now, we don't have a choice. We had to go back with Mychael. We's in the thick of it now bois ... AND THEN THE DEMO ENDED!! AUGH!!

DEVESTATED. I. was. DEVESTATED. Lol it was getting so good! Like, you know how you know the demo is coming to the end, but you're hoping there's just a touch more afterwards? That's how I was feeling. It was getting so good, and I wanted to see more! Hell, it IS good, and I WANT to see more!

So far, so great! I'm really excited to see what Day 3 brings us! I understand that Mychael is toxic or whatever, but he's just lonely and a little weird looking. I can fix him!

Honestly speaking though, with how sweet he is, you genuinely don't even feel like he's "ugly" or "scary" looking anymore. His gentle personality and literal down-to-earth nature completely overtakes his looks. He honestly isn't even bad looking! He really is cute in that other-worldly, fantasy being kind of way. But if I saw him in real life, there's a good chance I probably would've freaked out and get the bad ending lol

But, no, seriously, this game is fantastic! This is such a fun experience so far, and the story is really captivating! Just a little tip from me, be sure that when you play through, you pay attention to those text color changes! It helps bring some understanding/context to the story as to what's going on/happening around you.

Fair warning, the "yandere" element isn't showing too much yet, but you can tell that it's just a pacing thing, of which I think is being executed just right! I guess you could consider this to be a slow burn type of story, but because it's so fitting, it doesn't feel like slow pacing at all. If you were planning to jump right into the psycho, crazy Mychael as soon as you were at home with him and made it aware you wanted to leave, it's going to seem slow, but if you don't mind the build up to the plot, even prefer it, this will be great to you. For me, the build up is doing the story justice as there's not really a dull moment. The pace that the dev is going is purposeful, and it's not just slow for the sake of being slow.

That being said, I think I'll end my raving here! Really anticipating what the developer is coming out with next, and I can't wait to see just how far Mychael is willing to go for the sake of companionship. If you're contemplating trying this game out, stop contemplating and just play it! It is so worth it, and you will find yourself just as excited as I am for the full release! Be sure to leave your comments on the dev's page if you feel like they're doing a good job, and you want to give them that extra reassurance. Of course, donations are always helpful to them as well! hi there!! so I was recently looking for visual novels to occupy my time with, and I came across 21 questions, so I played it. and I loved it. so I played tulipe. and I liked that one a lot too. then I checked out your social media and I was really curious about the ✨️paranormal club lore✨️, so I just played all of them-

I didn't realize it when I was playing the game, but I've seen a lot of your our life art here on tumblr and I can't get over how pretty it is! even when it's just doodles that you do for fun, I still really like your style cause you make everyone look so nice. even if you're just drawing clem in a clown suit, we still love that

I don’t usually draw anymore because even though I used to like it, I feel like I lack all motivation to do it now, but seeing your art is really giving me inspiration to pick up a paper and a pencil and start drawing again :D

I personally share your love for visual novels, and I enjoy replaying yours because they're honestly so nice. I guess I just like seeing the way the story progresses and how relatable the characters feel, especially as a non-binary person who struggles to see themselves represented in games. plus I just like the voice acting in 21 questions

if I'm honest, even if it wasn't my usual genre of romance, night shift was a good play as well, especially for your first game! I can feel the inspiration from horror games and I love those types of things sm. I get why you'd wanna go back and redo it someday, but I think especially in terms of the plot and characters, it had a captivating plot and it was well written... françoise betrayed us tho rip

also this isn't about the games but from what I've seen, it honestly feels like you're a really nice person who happens to be really talented and so you deserve really nice things. even if you haven't been getting them until now, I hope you do start because you deserve it!! I like reading your visual novel rambles bc I agree with a lot of stuff, just me nodding my head in agreement like I wouldn't look crazy if anyone saw me. and it feels nice to see that people still talk about fictif stories to this day cause god they've been collecting dust 😭 I miss those days where I'd be so excited whenever an update was announced... guess I'll never get my rime route now :(

Now i am so sad to spread bad news BUT…. The canon ending of 21 questions is the platonic ending. 21q happens in 2019, Clem move to London in 2021 and ( spoiler alert ) will be spotted in Apple bag which takes place in 2022. Clem’s character and story haven’t entirely been revealed in his game for reasons that I’ll hopefully share in a futur but it’s for the same reasons that realistically… the relationship in 21q is destined to end with distance.

BUT that not the end if you imagine a future with Clem. If your intention is to romance them then there is an open window for the timeline where he’s a bit older. When exactly ? I won’t spoil but all I have to say is that this relationship can work on long term ! It’s just a good person, wrong moment situation and once you know everything about him, then his romance options become more real :}

Short Introductions to BL Games (Part 1)

For the longest time I had the idea to do a short introduction to all the different bl games I played, as a way for people to figure out if certain games are for them or not, and this day finally came. So, starting from today I will do short introductions, with a general rating of the story, characters and so on of every game. (I try to give a more neutral opinion, but some things are still based on my perception of the game) In addition I will add some extra comments on every game, so people know what to expect.

This is NOT a recommendation list, just an introduction, you decide yourself if you want to play it.

The rating goes from 1 (weak) to 5 (strong).

Higher story rating means the it's more unique and captivating.

The higher the romance is the more developed and focused it is.

Sadness level is obvious, the higher the ranting, the more tissues you need. Level of disturbing includes content that can make you feel unwell as well as the amount of rape (we know bl game writers love them) so the higher the rating the higher the the amount of it in the game.

Description:

Konno Teppei suddenly loses consciousness on his way home from work in the evening. He wakes up surrounded by ruins and old buildings. He, along with several other men, are in an abandoned amusement park.

But those easy days come to an end when he gets word from the boss: if he can break the captains out, Gian will earn a spot at the top of the hierarchy.

Can he pull off a job this big, or is it more than even Gian’s fabled good luck can manage?

i am constantly thinking about saeyoung's third bad story end where he's held captive by saeran at mint eye bc like, the angst imagining him trapped there waiting to die, accepting that he's hit the end of the line and failed everyone along the way... saeran hates him, MC probably hates him for getting her dragged into all this...

then a few days later MC is busting down the door of wherever he's being kept bc like HELL was she going to just LEAVE HIM THERE. hell no the first thing she did after getting away was tell the rest of the RFA and be like "if yall dont help I'll just go by myself" but ofc they're going to help bc THEY'RE not gonna leave him there either (and they scoop up saeran too bc saeyoung still wont leave without him hes still gotta save his baby bro)

i just love the thought of saeyoung being sad and roughed up and MC bursting in like "I AM GOING TO CARE ABOUT YOU! ON PURPOSE!! AND YOU CAN'T STOP ME AND NEITHER CAN SOME DUMB CULT!!!!!!!!" and him having to accept that he is, in fact, loved and cared for and that there are people who will Protect Him

I'm kicking my legs like an excited, stimmy schoolgirl.

That BE is one that I think about often. Unknown intends to lock Saeyoung away and do whatever it takes to "become him", to take his place seamlessly and dismantle the RFA. He wants to destroy Saeyoung's most precious people and force Saeyoung to know of it all, but be powerless to stop it.

I think about this BE a lot because I always wonder, "Will his MC be able to realize that Unknown is a fake?"

I like to believe in things like true love and soulmates. I like to imagine a BE that gets saved because MC goes, "You're doing a fine job, but I know you're not my Seven." A minor error that shows how much MC cares and pays attention. Maybe the way "Seven" washes his hands, or puts on his shoes, or his gait.

But now I'm also obsessed with the idea of an MC who goes, "NOW HOLD ON A MINUTE!" They won't let Saeyoung sacrifice himself so easily! They're not going to let him disappear like that! That's an MC with guts. I don't have that courage. I also don't have the RFA behind me, but that's besides the point.

Saeyoung is loved and he is going to know it! He is going to hear it and see it and feel it so there's no doubt in his mind! He is worth fighting for, and he deserves to live happily and to value himself for once!!!

Busy almost all the time, the first-born barely spent time with our dear Mc. He would try to finish the work only for more to be slammed on his desk.

Never would his brothers acknowledge his efforts or the sacrifices he made for them. Instead they'd mock him. Mock him for being absent at all family times. Mock him for doing what he does.

It was once again such a time, such a day. They didn't bother to care what the day has held for his beloved. It was their birth.

The birth of the one who truly changed his life along with his brothers. It was such a blessing yet he forgot about it. Entirely.

The Avatar of pride was strong, Lucifer wasn't. He was weak. Vulnerable. Especially against his brothers whom he adored with his entire being.

And the mocking words had stabbed him deeply, which made his current state as to how it was. Drunk. Wounded. Crying.

Rubbing his eyes, he awoke to a mess of his office which screamed the need for cleanliness.

During the process, he found the calender. A sweet calender gifted him by his doll.

A smile had crept on his face as he lifted it for what? Perhaps to calm the unsettling feeling in his bones that told him to run but where he didn't know?

While their lover was, Mc wilted much like a delicate flower would if the sun stopped shinning, they were laying curled on the floor of his room. Mc needed him.

How could he forget his own lover's birthday?! even after he promised... it hurts.. so much...

Yesterday. The poor human cut the cake wished themselves a happy birthday when he didn't...crying...in pain...

The realization hit hard. He ran to Mc's room as fast as he could. A shiver ran his spine and the horror in his stomach grew as each and every step was taken.

Yet could not find them, so he went over to his office expecting a fuming Mc.

He was once again not right, for his beloved was breaking down as he took them into his arms. Consoling.

He apologised and comforted them. Reassuring them over and over again. Reminding them his heart still is with them and no-could ever take it away.

He later threw a party, just like how you wanted. You. Him. And the growing fragrance of the candles surrounding you both.

Though late as it may have been, it was the best birthday the innocent human had. Smiling while he kissed your knuckles, he asked for your hand in marriage.

Never had you expected this...

"I Found the reason for my smile, the day I found you. Will you let me be the reason for your smile and marry me, my love?"

Mammon

As most had expected, he forgot your birthday due to witches or the modeling gig, he did not.

Instead he forgot about preparing your birthday gifts. His excitement had always gotten the best of him.

The Avatar of greed did not have enough budget to prepare the gift you dearly wished for, therefore multiple part-time jobs and skipping RAD became more often.

Despite the scolding, he didn't bother and worked on, just imagining the smile you'd make once you saw what he got you.

''I'll make Mc smile. Just one more hour extra and the budget would be*chef's kiss* '' he thought as his co-workers packed their belongings up.

It was late night and the moons shined brightly over the streets of devildom however he wasn't much worried because it was not like your birthday the next day. (it was)

Stretching his arms, he woke up around 1:35 pm due to his fucked up sleep schedule, only to be greeted by your excited figure cuddling him.

Grey-haired demon thought it was the Delirium before the day itself. He was wrong.

At first he acted totally oblivious to the fact any special day was just around the corner. He knew that surprises even more better!!

And then your great mammon ignored you for a while to rid of the risk of you following him to the destination.

Though his plan was to get your hopes down, he ended up making you cry. It hurts a lot especially when the love of your life forgets your birthday afterall you gave him everything he wanted on his.

The visit was successful. He even had extras left to treat you!!!

The was big achievement for someone who hated working to the slightest, to work for 3 weeks and multiple jobs!!!

But before he left, the seller mocked him about being a damned day late for this gift could have been sold at a better price if not booked.

That is when it all clicked and he panicked. Today was your birthday! Oh shit!!

He rushed home back to you. As he ran, he planned how to ask for your forgiveness.

" Oi Mc I'm sorry!--Oh hell no!!" "Mc I fucked I am sorry, please forgive afterall I'm your first man.--fuck this shit imma just play smooth."

Panting, he paused right before the door of your room and knocked lightly. Seeking your permission to enter.

You lazily opened the door for him, tired after shedding many tears for him.

Mammon instantly knew what to do. "Oi Mc I'm sorry for not wishing ya' a happy birthday earlier but I was busy buyin you somethin', here darlin' close your eyes."

Hearing his apology, you felt oddly happy and followed his request. Soon you felt a soft cold metal cling to your wrist. A bracelet, huh.?

"Open y'er eyes, human." On your wrist was bracelet that said 'His human' and another matching one was on his wrist which said 'Their stupid' . (Now isn't that adorable?)

"I was savin' up for this, so ya' better appreciate it. Hmph!" Giggling you yelled 'I love you' at him making him blush immediately.

However, when he spoke, he spoke genuinely and not in tsundere.

"Ya' make my life worth living. You bring smiles to my face, and y'er touch shows me how much you love me and care for me. Y'er my friend and my lover. Happy Birthday!"

Leviathan

With envy filled to the brim, Leviathan was very focused upon you and having your attention only for himself. To not let anyone snatch you away for they could better be than him, he'd make notes to treat you like royalty and improve his guilt-tripping habits.

Guilt, regret, shame. His heart screamed within the confines of his chest, as he rubbed your back assuring you that he still loved and will continue to do so.

It was his envy. It had always been his envy. Who always held him captive like a bird in a cage, he struggled to break free. He just couldn't.

The fault was his for if he hadn't given in to the jealousy named poison, you would be happily celebrating your birthday rather than crying in his embrace.

The fault was his for if he hadn't screamed at your friends who just came to congratulate you about getting in a relationship with the demon you very much loved and to wish you a birthday.

They left because of him. Not because he humiliated them but he forgot his own lover's birthday and called them a pathetic cheater, as they didn't feel like reminding of what the day was. They had left off with their friends, returning at HOL at night only to get yelled at.

Caring friends as they were, they tried convincing Mc to leave which his love refused. So, they left pitying the poor human.

No-matter how much Mc begged her companions to stay, they didn't.

Oh the suffering for His Normie, they ran upto him vulnerable-ly and started hitting him weakly, breaking down. Why was he? Why was he like this?! Why must he always leave you crying due to his envy?!

"Hey easy...calm down please, I'm sorry. I really am sorry, please forgive me and I promise I will make everything right. Please." "How..?" "Please trust me. My love." "Are you sure..?" "Yes...yes...I love you..."

Could you really trust his statement? You wondered. He could forget his word much like how he forgot your birthday.

The great admiral of hell's navy was true to his word, and successfully united you again with those who almost abandoned you or it seemed like--but no they were just disappointed. They were never going to do such a thing.

The meet went smoothly, and soon the the sun was setting casting shadows along with dying light, it was a dreamy sight for anyone.

Leviathan had known that he still had to make upto you properly and therefore, he took you to the cosmos of frodane.

Red, blue, yellow, any colour you could possibly think of was there, shining as brightly you were.

Taking in a shaky breath, the Avatar of envy gave you a bouquet, each flower consisting different scent which complimented the other.

The shimmer in your eyes gave you away and he gave you a sweetly addicting kiss while mumuring...

"I always cause some mess. It is never your fault. I’m sorry for making you feel unhappy. I cannot believe that I cause hurt to you. You are my only hope for my life. I promise you that I will do my best to make a better version of myself for you, my 3rd waifu~"

"What?!" the protagonist shouted, and Leviathan only seemed to get giddier and giddier as he leaned forward, captivated by the animations dancing on the screen and the sound effects as the fight reached it's climax.

He glanced towards you, unable to contain his excitement and wondering if you were enjoying it as much as he was, when he noticed your sombre mood. You were clutching onto one of his pillows tightly, eyes unfocused and seeming to be lost in thoughts.

As if one of your favourite anime episode wasn't being played in front of you.

Leviathan frowned.

He couldn't enjoy the anime if his Henry's in a bad mood!

"M-" He hesitated. Should he call you? "Mc?" he called out your name nervously, wondering if he stepped out of the line and second-guessing his course of action. Maybe he should've just left you alone? Maybe you'd prefer if he wasn't there? What if- what if he's the reason you look so sad? Did you not want to watch anime with him today??

Your eyes met his and his breath hitched.

They were red. Your eyes were red and was filling themselves with tears.

"I'm scared," you whispered, and Leviathan felt his heart get caught in his throat. He didn't like this. He didn't like seeing his Henry so... heartbroken. His best friend and long time crush was scared and he's just gaping there like a second Henry II.

"The future..." you whispered, one too low for a normal human to hear, but he's lucky to be a demon with stronger hearing.

"You're scared of the future?" he repeated, the flush of his cheeks lessening as he shared in your thoughts. It wasn't like he's never thought about it either, how people come and go, and everyone will be seperated whether they want to or not. "You... you don't need to be scared of it, Mc."

You clutched the pillow tighter, your head lowered, eyes clenched. "But- but one day I won't be able to see you guys anymore! I'll have to leave Devildom and... We won't be able to eat breakfast together, and I can't hear Lucifer's lectures nor Asmo's stories of the latest parties he attended..." You raised your head to stare straight into his eyes. "I won't be able to watch anime and play games with you anymore."

Time froze for a moment, as Leviathan's brain slowly comprehends what you said, and the second he did, he hugged you.

Leviathan hugged you.

No words were spoken, he didn't know any that might help the situation, so he stayed silent and hugged you tightly, letting you know everything will be alright. His face was slowly heating up, but when you grabbed onto his shirt and buried your face in his chest, sobbing your heart and worries out, he didn't care about how fast his heart is beating.

All he cares about is comforting you.

Which is how you found yourself he next day, safe in Leviathan's arms, who seemed to not be able to get a second of sleep the whole night.

"Thanks, Levi."

You pecked his nose.

Leviathan blushed a bright red, hiding his face in your shoulders as you patted his head, softly combing through his bed hair.

Yeah, everything will be alright.

A/N: Life happens, people change as they come and go, but -well, idk 'bout otherd, but better believe it Han, I don't ever want to lose communication with you. Even if you or I abandon the fandom one day in the future, I'm sure we'll have other things to talk about! So yeah, it's gonna happen, we're gonna go on with our seperate lives, but for now, let's enjoy it while we're still here in this fandom, yeah? Book review: A Cuban Girl's Guide to Tea and Tomorrow

Note: I have never really done a book review before, so I apologise in advance if this is more random ramblings than insightful comments or deep character and plot analysis or smtg. Also, spoilers ahead, you have been warned.

So, I guess I gotta start by saying that this was a really enjoyable read. It's not a literary masterpiece or anything, and was kind of predictable, but it was wholesome and heartwarming and nice. It was a feel good fluffy story, with just the right amount of angst mixed into it that it didn't make me feel extra sad, but enough to drive the story and make it interesting.

For some context, I am a simple person; it doesn't take much to please me in a story as long as it stays away from a very small handful of tropes and themes that I despise. HOWEVER, I have a very short attention span. A book really has to captivate me to stop me from skipping paragraphs or chapters, or simply just skipping to the end to find out what happens and be done with it. ACGGTTAT did that.

The thing about this book is that a lot of emphasis is put on the experiences Lila faces, both in Miami and in Winchester. The ending was predictable enough: Lila and Orion getting together and making things work despite living in two different continents. So my impatient ass wasn't desperate to know what happened in the end, and instead could just enjoy the journey that Lila went on over the summer. It was well written, made me feel like I was there, and when Lila said she fell in love with England, I could imagine why.

My favourite thing about the book, though, is definitely learning about the Cuban culture. I'm not Latinx, or am from a place that gives exposure to Latinx culture at all really, so I loved reading about it and learning about some of the history and traditions and of course, the food. It was mind opening, and you can tell that this was personal, that the author really put a piece of herself into it. If I ever wrote a book, I would want to be able to do that. Tell a story that shares a part of my heritage and my identity with the world. I've also been meaning to learn Spanish, though I haven't really found the time, so now I have a few more words to add to my word bank and hope that I'll remember them.

Let's take a moment to talk about our main characters tho. I may not have faced a trifecta loss like Lila, but I do see myself in parts of her, the way she's stubborn and ambitious, has trouble handling change, and can sometimes be not aware of how her fire may affect people, like with Andrés and Stefanie. Her character arc was nice; she doesn't lose her drive or her ambition, it just changed along with her, and she becomes more aware of herself and works to better herself.

Her dynamic with Orion was also something I quite liked. Orion himself is such a great character. I've never been big on the mysterious, bad boy type of MCs, I much prefer kind, sensitive, a little goofy, a bit of golden retriever energy kind of boys. Orion is definitely the latter, but he also has darker depths. Him and Lila complement each other well. He slows her one track mind down, and she gives him hope and someone to fight for when he has grown to just accept what is given to him. I love how they are from two different worlds, but share their lives with each other and teach each other about their cultures.

But most of all, I really liked that Lila and Orion didn't have to kiss, or do anything extremely passionate, for us to see how they love each other. You can see the way their relationship progresses slowly, how they grow close day by day, and gain feelings for one another. They both long acknowledge their feelings for each other before they have their first kiss, which is something I don't see too often. And it was pretty realistic for them to want to hold back knowing that their time would come to and end soon, but it also didn't make their romance any less real, just because they were "friends". If you get what I mean.

Since we're on the topic of characters, I really wanna talk about how they're being portrayed in the upcoming movie by Maia Reficco and Kit Connor. I don't know much about Maia, just because she doesn't have many acting projects under her belt yet. Pretty little liars original sin was her big breakout role, but I personally can't handle horror/thriller yet, so I won't be watching pllos for a while. However, I have watched some of her interviews, and whatever clips I could scrounge up that wouldn't give me nightmares, and I think that she would make a great Lila. I can see how she can portray Lila's sassy and bold personality. Obviously, I'm a huge heartstopper fan, so I know more about Kit, and I 100% think he'll be a great Orion. He did such a good job with nick nelson, and I can see some similarities between the two characters, so I don't think he'll have any problem with portraying Orion accurately.

Ok, I've pretty much said all I wanted to say. It was a good read, definitely recommend, and I can't wait for the movie next year. Thanks for reading, and hey if you have any differing opinions or wtv chat with me in the comments I wanna see what other people think <3

I can help with the first question! For MC Rythian content, there’s the obvious Blackrock Chronicles over on his Youtube channel if you want mostly rp. Other than that, he did feature all throughout Cornerstone with Sj//n and Lomadia, he was also on Nano’s Village building his little mage tower, he did a Lucky Blocks challenge on the main Yogscast channel, he did a Captive Minecraft II series for a bit with Lomadia and T//rps but most of the episodes are now missing, he was in Sips Co. for a few episodes (#7-15 to be specific), he was on one episode of Sj//n’s Feed The World series, he did a MC map with Nilesy and Kim on Kim’s channel, and that’s about all I can recall in terms of MC content. 

He also did some MC minigames with the rest of the Yogscast crew you can search up on YT. The ones that I remember the most are the Walls challenges, a Survival Games, Cluster Chunks, and probably others. 

As for non MC content, he’s done TTT also on the main Yogscast channel, he played games with Kim and some others on her channel like Duck Game and Secrets of Grindea, I personally recommend his Thomas was Alone playthrough if you want something calming to listen to, his Dishonored series is also pretty good to listen to, and a bunch of others on his channel. Nowadays he streams on Twitch, so you can check him out there too. 

hey! im trying to get more into like the Queer Yogscast/hlvrai fandoms here on tumblr, so two questions: 1, do you have any suggestions for how i could start getting into rythian content, and 2, whats tma, sklfdjs, cuz you tagged a hlvrai thing as tma and i wasnt sure if that was an accident or not

first of all im honestly not the best person to ask because i like, JUST rolled up to the yogs fandom in 2020 so im by no means a veteran or anything, but i do love me some rythian! as far as i know the only rp series he’s in is blackrock, and i haven’t watched it but i think he’s in cornerstone as well. as far as other mc stuff there’s,, painfully little content but there’s a few episodes of sipsco he did pre-blackrock, a lucky blocks episode, and im not sure if he’s actually IN magic police but they certainly mention him quite a bit. im sure there’s more but that’s just off the top of my head. if you’re open to non mc stuff the ttt episodes with rythian in them are always some of my favorites

Author's Note: I've been stuck on this fic for months, but I finally got time and inspo for finishing it! And I thought it'll be cool to post on Valentine's Day because why not. Hope y'all enjoy reading it as much as I enjoyed writing it!

Maxwell is sprawled along on the grass, with Kate lying against his chest, as he plays with her hair. After a few blissful moments, Maxwell breaks the silence.

"We really shouldn't be here, Kate."

Kate pouts. "Aw, spoilsport."

"And here I thought you were supposed to be the responsible one." Maxwell laughs. "I'm just trying to be careful."

Kate's eyes widen in mock-surprise. "Maxwell Beaumont being careful? Never thought I'd see the day. Besides, everyone else is at the country picnic. No one's gonna find us here."

Both of them wanted to get some time alone, so Kate faked being sick and Maxwell volunteered to stay with her.

"I know, but still, I can't help but worry that we'll get caught."

"If you keep worrying like this, we won't be able to enjoy the little time we have together, Max." Kate says with a sad pout, looking at him with puppy dog eyes.

Maxwell relents, " Okay, okay, no more worrying. Let's just stay like this for a while, I feel peaceful right now."

After a few minutes, Maxwell says, "Kate, can I ask you something?"

She smiles. "Of course, Maxwell."

"When did you fall for me?"

"Huh?"

"I asked, when did you fall for me? There must have been some incident that made you see me in a different light, right?"

Kate thinks hard, biting her lip. "I don't know when exactly I fell for you, Max. It just happened somewhere along the way, I guess." She pauses for a moment. "But I do remember when I realised you mean a lot to me."

Maxwell looks intrigued. "Tell me more."

Kate continues, "Remember the Coronation Ball?"

"Of course. You almost left Cordonia." He says sadly.

Kate fidgets with her skirt, not meeting his eyes, "Well, during the ball, before the whole Tariq fiasco, Liam asked me to accompany him to the hedge maze, so we sneaked out of the ball together. There, he confessed that he's in love with me, and that he was going to propose to me that night."

Maxwell lets out a soft sigh. "And? What did you tell him?"

Kate answers, "I didn't. Liam stopped me before I could say anything, and said that I needn't say anything then, that he knows it's a little soon, and told me that he was willing to wait." She continues after a moment. "I should have been overjoyed about it, because this is why I came to Cordonia, right? But I was not at all happy. I felt terrible, like I'd been given a prison sentence. I felt trapped. I didn't realise why exactly I felt like that until later that night."

"When the photos of Tariq and I were released, and the King's Guard escorted me to the airport, I wasn't worried that I wouldn't be Queen, or that my reputation had been tarnished. The only thing that was going on in my mind was that I'd never be able to see you, ever again. When I saw you at the airport, I was so happy that I wanted to fling myself into your arms and never let go." Her eyes shine with tears. "That's when I realized that you mean so much to me, Maxwell. You aren't just a friend to me, you are so much more."

Maxwell didn't think it was possible to fall for her more, and yet, there he was, absolutely captivated by her. He pulls her to him and holds her tightly. "Now that I know, I'll always be with you, Kate."

"Right back at you, Max." She smiles and sinks into his embrace. "Now it's your turn."

"What now?"

Kate laughs. "I mean, it's your turn to say when did you fall for me?"

"Oh!" Maxwell turns bright red.

Kate giggles. "Are you blushing, Maxwell?"

"No I'm not!" He says indignantly, blushing even more.

"You're cute when you blush, you know. Even cuter than usual."

"Kate! You aren't helping." In spite of it, he smiles.

"Okay, okay, I'll stop teasing you, even though it's fun. You still haven't answered my question."

Maxwell looks bashful. "I've always known you're special, Kate. You are sweet, nice, charming, not to mention pretty. I liked you from the moment we met. Though I invited you to Cordonia for Liam's sake and for the good of House Beaumont, it was partly because I wanted to get to know you more as well, since you seemed cool.

I realised my feelings for you at the Coronation Ball, just like you did. Remember when we decided to take a breather and leave the ball for a few minutes? That's when I had time to think. That was the day, after all those events of the social season we'll get to know if you'd become Queen or not. On one hand, if you did become Queen, we won't be able to spend time together. Then again, if you didn't win, you'd probably leave Cordonia. I didn't know what to think. I just assumed that I was afraid of losing our friendship. But when I saw you dancing with Liam - him looking at you like you're his dream come true, you smiling back at him like he's the only person in the world - I felt different. Angry, mad, sad, desperate. Jealous. That's when I admitted to myself that I actually have feelings for you, and they're definitely not just platonic.

But I had to keep my feelings hidden for both your sake and for House Beaumont's sake. And for Liam too. I didn't want to ruin everything. But I suppose the truth always comes out somehow, and now I actually am happy that I don't have to pretend anymore."

Kate looks at him wide-eyed. She felt utterly sad at the thought of how heartbroken Maxwell would've been when he saw her and Liam together. She buried her face deeper into his chest, trying to put all her feelings into a hug, comforting him wordlessly.

"I'm so sorry, Maxwell. I should've told you sooner." Kate says sadly.

Maxwell lifts her chin up, "Hey, look at me. It's okay. All that matters now is that we both know, and can tell each other how we feel."

"And how exactly do you feel about me?" Kate asks, with a smirk on her face.

"You're way too cheesy that it's almost unbearable, but it's exactly my kind of cheesy, so I don't mind." Maxwell says with a chuckle.

"Hey!" Kate shoves him.

"Ouch! Just kidding! You know how I feel about you, Kate." His face turns serious. "And whatever happens, I'm never gonna let you go, okay?"

Kate smiles, "Okay. Thank you, Max, for always being there for me." She kisses him softly. Maxwell smiles and wraps his arms around her, holding her close.

Though their future seemed uncertain, they knew they both could face anything, as long as they had each other.

Karthik:

Despite being stuck with Murphy, he never once lost hope. His optimism and faith in his friends & mother is too high to give up now. He can't lose and he would do everything he can to get back home, esp since he can't bare to leave his daughter alone. Karthik knows first hand what its like to lose a father, he refuses to let Meera go through the same thing. He tried to be overly friendly/charming towards Murphy to try and persuade him to set him free. Karthik's 'never giving up' attitude would be real annoying for Murphy, like Murphy can try but he can't ever break him.

Karthik is most likely to end up breaking out of Murphy's held himself. No matter the bruises or pain that is inflicted on him, he won't stop till he is finally free.

Afterwards he would end up a tad more clingy towards Meera and with Unit Bravo. Spending more time with them, as if he is trying to make up for the months of absence. He just doesn't want to feel like he was forgotten. And no more missed opportunities.

Jasmine:

After realising that no one had come for her, Jasmine feels deflated. She's been used to being nobody's first choice - she shouldn't be surprised that she is alone once again. She doesn't bother trying to escape, because who would she run too? An absent mother that hadn't shown interest in her till recently? A team of vampires that she no longer believed are her friends.

They had a duty, a job - that's all. She was just a failed mission to them. If she truly mattered, perhaps they would've found her. Deep down she wishes she was in the thoughts of at least one of them, the amber eyed vampire. She thought there was - no, she was mistaken. Because what would anyone have to gain having an interest in someone like her.

After she was found, that wall shot straight back up. Jasmine would become more aloof and reclusive. Those months of captivity ate into her fears and insecurity. She was never good at opening up to others, but now - it had become worse. It will take a while for that trust to be rebuilt and for the wall to come down, brick by brick.

Shivani:

When Shivani first found out about the supernatural world, she was terrified. She never considered herself strong nor brave, so being told that she was target for her blood - had her already on edge. But spending more time with unit bravo, and one tall vampire in particular, had started to make her feel at ease. Her fears were still present, but no longer at the extreme of how it once was.

Well that was until Murphy held her captive for months, feeding on her as if she was his personal blood bank. At the start she would still have that hope that she would be found. If not by Unit Bravo, but by her mother. Shivani is used to making excuses for Rebecca, but still believes that her mother cares about her too. Shivani knows she too weak to fight back, so the waiting game is all she thought she could do.

However, weeks and months past - she's still there. That hope had begun to fade and Shivani would've eventually accepted her fate. She had become too terrified to leave. Murphy was bad enough, what if she escapes and something worse awaits for her? She can't get hurt if she never leaves. She's not a fighter, she feels weak again - helpless even - has no energy left in her to try anymore.

After she was found, she has to leave Wayhaven. Too many bad memories had tainted her hometown. The Murphy incident left her traumatised and terrified of every possible shadow that lurks behind. She doesn't leave without telling Rebecca and UB first, no matter her feelings - they deserve to know. Rebecca would try to convince her to stay, for her protection, but Shivani will put her foot down and say no.

She will be sad having to say goodbye to Nat, even through the feelings were new - Nat had always been on her mind in those months of captivity. Her warm touch, her gentle smile and deep brown eyes...

Perhaps they could reunite once again, something Shivani still aches for as she drives out of the town.

Divya:

Divya was used to finding themselves in sticky situations, be it; school detention, bar fights or running from the police after ' borrowing' a drink or two. No matter the situation, she always had a way out. She never needed help from others to rescue themself from her mess. No one stayed in her life for long enough to care, why should she believe Unit Bravo to be any different? She gave up on their mother a long time ago, never once believed that she was going to change. After realising that no one will come for her, she'd have to find a way out on her own - like usual.

Weeks went past of trying to escape, was when Divya realised they were going about this whole thing all wrong. Having to spend time with Murphy and listening to his (urgh) constant monologues - she realised she can use this situation to her advantage and not be the victim. Divya wasn't exactly a fan of the agency either, considering they stole her father's life and mother's attention. The agency was the reason for her broken family, so she made a deal with him. Divya was going to allow him to feed on them, as long as she get's treated as a partner/equal. Working together against the agency, agents, whoever. So what if she became the villain? Rather a villain then the victim.

After months and months, Unit Bravo was able to trace Murphy's location - except now they have to deal who was alongside him. Divya wasn't angry nor upset - just empty as she got ready for the next fight. The fight was intense, esp with Ava not realising the reason why she doesn't want the detective to be hurt. Eventually Unit Bravo do win. Once Divya got restrained, those emotions slowly started to flow back and whispered a weak "Thank you".

Akira:

Akira was pissed. They never cared about the supernatural world to begin with, was quick to accept the revelation. Knowing that they were right that Unit Bravo weren't human, did wonders for their ego. However, going months of being Murphy's pet - they were pissed. Akira never believed anyone was ever going to come for them, why would they? It not like they were the most likable person out there. So what if they had a few flirts with perhaps two, that's all that it was. Just harmless flirting. It's never anything more. But it still hurt. Not being wanted enough to be found. Trust was for fools - they knew this better than anyone, and once that trust was broken... they're done.

First they had to deal with Murphy. Combat may not be their strength, but with vengeance in their blood - it won't stop them. So they continued to fight, using their surrounding to their advantage. Eventually Murphy was left unconscious (not dead) out in the boiling sun. Aki was free, injured and beaten but free.

The hobbled over back to Wayhaven, but only to collect a few things. As if they were a vampire themselves, they hid amongst the shadows to avoid being seen. Once they were reunited with their motorbike, they packed a bag and drove off.

Fuck the supernatural world. Fuck Rebecca and the agency. Fuck Unit Bravo.

Aki was done. Running away with a new name, to a new place sounds a lot better than dealing with all this shit.

Thank you anon for this emotional ask. This song is golden and has a very interesting story and kinda fits Gavin and MC pretty well.

First things first... Have you ever watched the movie "Once"? This song is written for this film by the main lead. In case you haven't, it's a nice film with a bitter sweet ending. But neither the characters nor the story resembles much to that of our lovebirds.

There are lots of different interpretations to the meaning of this song. Some claim that it's about a struggling relationship which the duo is trying to save, other say it's about a love story with a sad end where the parties choose different paths and some believe it's about the story of a guy, whose love doesn't get reciprocated. Another one is the plot of the film.

For me, it's about two people, both going through different obstacles in life and warring with these themselves and yet trying to hold on to the little love they've found in each other. Gaining strength from this love and finding a way out by using this strength. It's about saving a sinking boat and bringing it home while there is still time.

It makes more sense if we look at the individual lyrics and the tone of this song and then compare it with MC and Gavin's story.

Post CH18, when MCs living in an Eternal Winter. MC feels lost, she wanted to save all but for that she had to pay a high price. But she's made her mind and cannot go back before clearing everything out and finding the Gavin she's searching for. She wants to find him, bring him back home. No matter how broken he may be.

MC too, had her dark moments, where she was falling but this time around it was Gavin's turn to catch her before she falls. Gavin too, wants to be the voice that lifts her up. Which is why during their reunion in CH24 but also in CH15, in Lost Love date, in Motivation Call and in many more moments, too many to count. He gives her all his strength, gives her courage and stands by her side... Whether she's standing still or moving forward.

Post CH24, MC and Gavin stand next to each other and face any challenge together. No more falling, no more darkness. From CH24- CH36 they're one power couple. Yes, the obstacles are tough, yes they both don't know what the future holds. But they know that they're together, they trust each other completely and give each other courage. MC is singing a song and Gavin sings along with her. Just like in the date MC playing the chords of the piano and Gavin accompanies her with his guitar.

Falling slowly sing your melody

The lyrics might be depressing at times, but the melody is going up and down alike to the waves in the ocean. Some words are sung with a lower, deeper sound but than when they sing the lyrics "We've still got time" or "You'll make it now" it goes up with power, thus giving hope. The end of the song is also more or less brighter than its general tone. So the situation is not that grave.

The chorus reminds me of all the times Gavin and MC had to make tough decisions. Be it Gavin accepting the NW plan, be it MC sacrificing herself in CH18, be it Gavin killing Perry, be it MC not telling Gavin that he's the one she's searching for during Eternal Winter, be it Gavin leaving MC alone during her last fight with the Black Queen because he had his duty to save the people of the city (and because under nooooo circumstances could that be allowed that Gavin meets the Black Queen. If you want to, you can read my analysis on this here)

Every time they make these decisions, they need to go separate ways, thus say goodbye. Which is why each time they clung onto the little time they've left and hold onto their love. Remember how MC asks Gavin on the phone, whether he's coming back after his mission in CH18 or in CH27 as Gavin's being called in how he wants to hug her but doesn't or in CH15 how she tries to hold him back from leaving. Their ending in a parallel universe and how they want to touch each other one last time before their last breath.

MC and Gavin tirelessly hold onto each other, save each other, try to cherish every single moment they have with each other. I really love this commitment they have.

They're committed to each other, from the beginning till the very end.

i’ve just finished reading goodbye royal life and i loved this universe so much!! the characters you wrote are so captivating and the plot is so interesting too, and the part where the two stories connected at the end left me really curious to know more 🤔

jaehyun’s line stuck to me, how he said marriage might not be the only way. i don’t know if i understood what he meant completely?! maybe he’s foreshadowing something but i suppose he was talking about the marriage between the king and the baker? but then mc goes on to tell jaemin abou the plan to marry jisung and the baker so marriage ended up being the answer? brains frying here 😳

but let me also compliment your amazing writing, the story flows deliciously and the characters are so well composed it left my heart fluttering! i loved loved mc in the second story, and her relationship with jaemin too. the part where you described how jaemin hoped they would follow their heart and show that they cared, how he had this deep sense of understanding about them beyond the facade. heart-melting.

now, about the universe:

just for the sake of this reply, i will round it up once more: the title contains the overall plot of the story, with the main conflict being the marriage between the baker and the king, and the baker and jisung's relationship. i would consider snippets of other pairs a spin-off, i suppose? but i am trying to leave little pieces of other pairs into all of them to show that they're all influencing and helping each other somehow.

this isn't any spoiler, i am not even sure if i will ever write this whole thing actually, but so far the pairs go like this:

donghyuck (the dragon and the sorcerer) / jaemin (the twin flame) / jisung (the crown prince and the baker) / jeno (the faery king and the offering) / chenle (the royal and the servant) / renjun (the tattle-tale and the devil) / if i want to add him in here, mark (the thief and the witch)

now, what jaehyun said was that marriage is not the answer, but he never did specify who's marriage; so tf!mc took it as that the marriage that isn't the way would be the one between the baker and the king, but if they try to pin jisung and the baker together, things would go how they want it to go. here're where other people come into play.

below is the plot i have currently, read if you want to!

it starts with trying to get the baker and jisung to a secluded place to get married, which tf!mc would know to be the enchanted forest. originally, they asked donghyuck for help, but he refused because of 'political reasons' (there is a myth council hidden in plain sight in the kingdom that oversees that magical creatures do not bother with human lives). since that didn't work, the second plan is to stall the king and get jisung and the baker married with the wedding they prepared originally for the king. to do that, jaemin and tf!mc lured the king and some guards to the enchanted forest and tf!mc sealed it shut to prevent anyone from leaving.

it was a bad idea to seal an old forest with demonic magic, so the forest went into an uproar; donghyuck and sor!mc ended up having to come out and calm everything down. donghyuck decided to fly to the kingdom for an explanation, while sor!mc erases the people's memories of the forest reacting on its own, as well as the creatures that fled out. amongst the royal staffs was renjun, who was immune to magic, and he ended up keeping the memory as he left with the rest of the guards and the king.

when the king returned earlier than usual, the trio flipped out thinking that the wedding would resume. chenle, a neighbor prince and jisung's best friend, decided to help out by creating an absurd lie about how nobody attended his wedding when he held one, yet he's punctual to the king's. with some threats about foreign relations, he was able to delay the wedding a few days, but now he has to find a partner (hence entering the commoner!mc).

side note: i think chenle and com!mc is the only pair completely ignorant to the existence of magic.

donghyuck, after hearing the explanation, decided to help because sor!mc said they would. he consulted jeno with sor!mc, and although eager to help, jeno can't just let anybody come in and out of his home. it will cause problems with his subject as a faery king. therefore, they made a deal: to use the promise ring (it's a flowery circle under a sacred tree; faery history) for the wedding, they have to bring him an offering.

the promise ring is an extremely protected and secure place that the only way for you to go there is if a faery in the know leads you there. you'll never be able to stumble upon it otherwise. any deals or vows and promises made within the ring gets sealed forever under the fae's law, meaning that if jisung and the baker get married within it, the king is physically unable to separate them (so he cannot even begin to speak of it, his voice disappear if he tries).

with that, they set out to find a human offering (the only equivalent to the importance of the place), and jeno's pair happens with offering!mc, who they managed to find in a very deprived village cast out of the kingdom years ago. when they were bringing the mc away, mark managed to sneak onto their carriage and dropped himself off inside the forest (and he met a witch who would later help with the plot after the marriage fiasco ends).

okay i would write more but i'm kind of ???? because i haven't touched on this for a while. also, i did add mark in it i guess, haha

Yoosung loved it when you’d sing loudly in the shower so he could quietly sing along with you

One day Yoosung got the courage to sing along with you when you were singing one of his favorite songs

You had the music playing loudly as you were singing “Why do you build me up, buttercup baby!”

“Just to let me down, mess me around!” Yoosung loudly sang after your verse, his face blossoming bright red as he did

You giggled, nudging Yoosung as you continued “And worst of all, you never call baby!”

“When you say you will, but I love you still!” Yoosung finished off as he giggled along with you

The two of you finished singing the rest of the song while awkwardly but sweetly dancing around the house

You and Yoosung decided to have more random singing and dancing times throughout the day to put a smile on both of your faces

Zen

Zen’s basically a singing machine himself so he adores you singing all of the time

He records you singing all of the time and loves listening to those audios the minutes before he has to go on stage because it helps calm his nerves

Sometimes Zen will just sit on the couch, smiling with his eyes closed as he listens to you singing

He would love to join in with you singing but he doesn’t want you to think that he just wants attention so he usually backs off

That is until one night when you the two of you are cleaning dishes and you start singing one of his favorite songs

“A dream is a wish your heart makes, when you’re fast asleep.” You gently sang as you handed a dish to Zen to dry

“In dreams you will lose your heartache, whatever you wish for you keep.” Zen continued for you as he put away the dish while smiling

The two of you sang that song over and over again all night long along with other Disney songs because Zen said that you were his true princess

You and Zen became known as the couple who would never stop singing

Jaehee

Jaehee never realized that singing could be so much fun, especially with you

You would sing all the time no matter where you were and Jaehee loved that

She adored your singing and would often do a little clap for you after you finished a song

But you noticed that Jaehee always had a hint in sadness in her eyes when you sang so you thought of a song that no one could resist singing

The two of you were making up a grocery list when you suddenly stood up and broke into song

“Oh I wanna dance with somebody, I wanna feel the heat with somebody!” You singed loudly and smirked when you saw Jaehee stand up as well

“Yeah I wanna dance with somebody, with somebody who loves me!” Jaehee sang along, embarrassed but clearly enjoying herself

You both sang that song at he top of your lungs and when it was finished, the two of you were out of breath but smiling

Jaehee thanked you for giving her the opportunity to sing with you but decided to leave the vocals to you since her throats hurt just from singing that small part

But she still ended up joining you in song every once and a while

The most wonderful sound in the world to Jumin was your singling voice, so he loved it when you sang all of the time

He would smile to himself when he’d be working in his home office as your singing voice filled the penthouse

Once Jumin saw you singing to Elizabeth the third and almost shed tears, he took plenty of blurry pictures and a shaky video

Jumin wanted you to embrace your singing voice, saying it was the most pure singing he’s ever heard

You told him that you just sang for fun but you were curious about his voice so you set up a plan

One night, you and Jumin were driving home from seeing the musical Cats, he only agreed to go because it was about the most perfect creatures in the world plus there were no narcissists performing

As Jumin went on about the beauty of cats, you started singing knowing that he couldn’t resist joining in

“Memory, all alone in the moonlight, I can smile at the old days, I was beautiful then.” You sang softly and looked up at Jumin

“I remember the time I knew what happiness was, let the memory live again.” Jumin finished off in his deep voice

You sat there in shock at how amazing Jumin’s singing voice was and begged him to always sing with you

Seven admired you for many reasons, one of them being how you expressed yourself through singing

After long hours of hacking, hearing you sing around the house while doing mundane tasks would always bring a smile to his lips

His files are filled with audio clips of you singing, Seven will listen to them when he’s feeling anxious or upset

Just watching you do simple things like dust the house while singing always make Seven feel so happy and sometimes he’ll sing along in an off-tune voice

But you were curious to hear his real singing voice so one day when he was playing a video game, you started singing

V simply adored the fact that you sang around the house all of the time

Your voice was a sweet melody in his sensitive ears, he’d usually ask you to sing louder to which you happily agreed to

When V would organize through his photos, sometimes feeling a bit stressed, you would go behind him and wrap your arms around his shoulder while singing to him

He’d take photos of you singing all of the time, V especially loved the angelic look on your face when you’d perfectly hit a high note

One day you noticed V sorting through some older photos of him and Rika, subconsciously touching his eyes as they started to water so you did what you knew always made him happy

“‘Cause all of me, loves all of you.” You sang softly as you sat down next to V, setting the photos down and gently wiping his eyes

“Love your curves and all you edges, all your perfection imperfection.” V finished off as he traced his fingers along your body as you rubbed his cheeks

Throughout his entire recovery progress, one of the best medicines for Saeran was your singing

Although he’d try to act annoyed, Saeran secretly loved you singing around the house while going about your day

He admired your voice and never thought that someone’s singing could be so soothing and calming

Your silly singing truly helped Saeran, especially when he was having panic attacks or felt doubtful

i would like to start this by saying that i am speechless.

when this first came out, I was overwhelmed with school so I couldn't read it, but recently, I remembered this as I was scrolling through your blog and I decided to finally read it. grabbing some ben and jerry's ice cream, I was ready for the journey.

or so I thought...

the story started out slowly, but in a way that still captivated me. everything from jeongin's unrequited feelings to mc's tardiness made me immediately interested in how the story would progress.

I LOVED the dynamic between them. it was so sweet, adorably endearing, funny, and desirable.

Huffing out a dramatic sigh, you crossed your arms and arched your brows at Jeongin. “Where should we go then, Thomas Burberry?”

I think that you nailed jeongin's character.

I find it quite hard to write for him, cause unlike chan for example, I feel like there's this very specific vibe around him. but nevertheless, you managed to convince me that this was indeed jeongin. from his inner turmoil, how he teased mc and the soft spot he had for them and how he cared for them...everything made my heart beat like crazy.

I could feel the emotions while reading this, and although it wasn't gut-wrenching angst, it still managed to lull me into this state of sadness since I knew they wouldn't end up together.

jeongin caring for mc from the sidelines for his entire childhood was so sweet and precious, the bit about mc's parents arguing hit closer to home than I'd like it too, but reading about his small gestures towards them when these arguments happened made me feel a little bit better.

The first time he revealed to you that he has been able to hear you sing in the shower was many years back. You had escaped to the bathroom, for some reason, to hide from your arguing parents. To you, your bedroom had felt too open and easy to access. It was an unknocked door away from the outside world. You did not want your parents to barge in and include you in their conversation, so you locked yourself in the bathroom to hideaway.

Jeongin had heard you that night. Taking off his earphones and turning off the music in his phone, he sat on the laundry corner of his room and awkwardly comforted you through the wall. Putting a hand to the wall, he could almost feel the sensation of your palm reaching for his hand.

That was a long time ago. Ever since then, he has taken the job to be there for you whenever your parents start to fight each other, like a friend over the wall. What started as a wall-blocked conversation soon turned into sudden neighbor visits, and now friendly sleepovers whenever it was needed.

I can't explain the feeling that washed over me while reading this. something between angst, agony, frustration, and happiness. I was happy that the mc here got to have such a caring friend that truly had a heart of gold.

and the kiss they shared...it was os bittersweet and melancholic but in the best way possible.

and 100% teared up at this;

Jeongin widened his eyes a fraction and he felt more tears welled up in them. The crying was always strengthened when you realized that someone cares for you; the unexpected kindness of it always hit you worse than eternal loneliness could. And he—well, he did not realize it, he has always known, but at the moment you called him your best friend he began to understand why the worst didn’t feel like the worst.

the ending...I kind of predicted the button thing right away but it still hit me like a ton of bricks. it made me realize how much thought must have been put into this story. it was so well crafted that I'm positive it took a lot of hard work. I'm only happy that I was able to read such a masterpiece.

the ending was bittersweet but appropriate. quite hilarious when I remembered how the movie they were watching ended.

all and all, a true masterpiece that i was blessed enough to be able to read. your works always hit hard, especially the long ones, but this one...this one takes the cake for me.

The sunlight shining from outside the movie theatre exit quite literally blinded Jeongin, but nothing could have diverted his attention from how much he disliked the cheesy Japanese romance movie he just watched—actually, the cheesy Japanese romance movie he was forced to sit through with you.

It was intriguing at first. The acting was over-the-top, but it wasn’t bad, he wouldn’t say so. The plot was as cliché as he would expect a typical romance movie to be; girl meets boy, they hate each other, they get stuck together under miraculous circumstances, they get to know each other through a mutual agreement, a one-minute montage of them having fun and slowly falling in love with each other, and lastly, a happy ending!

Or, well, a not-so-happy ending but still a tolerably non-angsty ending for this movie.
