she'd said that three weeks ago, and they had both been preparing for this moment ever since. makeout sessions had gotten more intense, hands experimentally traveling under clothes. arthur had even tried fingering her a few times to make sure she knew what she was getting into, that she was prepared for how it would feel.

a trail of fake petals lead from where she was standing to the bed, where even more dotted the simple white duvet, a towel elephant resting on the corner, like the towel animals on a cruise ship. the room was illuminated with soft, warm fairy lights. with a goofy grin on his face, arthur came towards her, reaching into the graft bag to throw more petals in the air.

she laughed, pulling him in for a gentle kiss as he dropped flower petals in her hair.

“wait, you haven’t seen the best part.” the boy laughs, reaching for the stereo remote. with the press of a button, heart’s ‘what about love’ begins to play softly. “damn it.” he mutters. “this was supposed to be a relaxing and easy listening playlist.”

“arthur,” she giggled, prying the remote from his hand. “it’s perfect.” she pressed up on her toes, arms around his shoulders as she kissed him, breathing in the smell of his cologne, the feel of his linens shirt under her fingers.

she sat down on the end of the bed, slipping out of her high heels and dropping her purse on the floor. she leaned back against the bed, fake rose petals sticking to her skin as arthur lay on his side next to her, warm hands caressing her skin.

“hi.” she said softly, fingers tracing her jaw as she propped up on an elbow to meet his gaze.

arthur reached behind him, triumphantly holding up the towel elephant and waving one of its small arms. “hi, darling.”

she laughed, throwing one of her legs over arthurs before she nuzzled up against him, pressing a kiss to his jaw. “you’re such a dork.”

“you love it.” he said before he kissed her, his lips soft against hers, the glittery lipgloss that had almost faded off her skin transferring onto his lips as he gently pressed her against the pillows.

she sighed in contentment as his hand slipped up her dress, resting reassuringly against her upper thigh. she cages his upper lip between both of hers, fingers cradling through his hair as she pressed herself closer to him. the shoulder strap of her dress slipped down her pale skin, bathed a heavenly shade of gold in the fairy lights. before she could get self-conscious and teach to right it, arthur took charge, pressing gentle, open-mouthed kisses to her skin.

her heart swelled with love at hearing arthur’s words. this entire evening had been so surreal. she never thought she’d meet someone who made her feel the way that arthur leclerc could.

Initial thoughts on first watch through of Part 2

I will need to watch the season again a few more times as I was overwhelmed to be sure as a lot was going on. But my quick thoughts on storylines...

I'll start with my least favorite part. Sorry but it's the elephant in the room.

Ben.

I cannot. Every time they wasted screentime to go back to him fucking, I was like. God no, please make it stop. I mean I got it the first three times we showed it. Was it really necessary to keep harping on it. Honestly, shit or get off the pot with Ben's story. I'm bored and I don't know where they are going with this. I'm disinterested now.

Fran/John

This got better for me in the back half than the first half. I took no interest in them in the first 4 episodes. it was a snooze fest and while I would not watch a full season of them, they were cute in the back half and while the "dying breath" line was a bit harsh (seriously writers was that necessary) I'm even less interested in exploring a full season of Fran's actual story, not because it's been gender bended to Michaela, I just don't care for Fran's character. Personal opinion, sorry.

Kate/Anthony

Loved competitive Anthony at game night, we are the same Anthony, truly first borns. Kate has relaxed him for sure tho. Loved how he seemed to truly support his siblings, first with Colin and again with Fran in their choices to marry. Wished we could have seen his face when Pen announced she was LW after he was so clear that there was no way anyone could be her under his nose as RULER over the Bridgerton lands or some shit. Would have been a delight to see, yet...he did once again run off and leave his duty as leader of the Bridgerton family once again. For all this fandom screams that Anthony is the only man of the house with the actual job and responsibility he has yet once again disappeared from it yet again. No matter, there was little of this duo for me to take true aim at this season and thus not much for me to say other than what I have.

So moving on....

Cressida

What is there to say...Who's afraid of the big bad BITCH. Well not Pen. And no one else, for off to the country she goes and good on ya! Sorry, don't let the door hit ya on the way out. I'm not sad to see you and your big ass sleeves go.

Violet/Marcus

Tend that garden girl. TEND THAT GARDEN! That's all I gotta say, S4 is gonna bring Mama Bridgerton her just desserts! It was lovely seeing her navigating the dating mart and being nervous herself. I can't wait to see her needing to lean on Lady D and her children as she tries to figure this out herself next season.

Eloise

I was up, I was down. I was on the floor in anger and tears and then crying with joy. I understood you, I swore at you, I still love you dearly. There is much for you to learn about love and the world and I will welcome you home to do that. I did feel like she grew a lot this season. She was confused by love. Love of Pen, Love of Colin, love of being a woman in society and finding her way in what all of that means again. It was nice to see that. I loved her scenes with Colin and Pen and even with Benedict. I do look forward to her season as I feel like she had the most growth this season and while I feel like Ben's is next (boo) she can't be far behind, though I would welcome them doing her and Ben together in 4 at this point since it takes so fucking long to film these.

The Featheringtons

The most growth came from the family. Portia, Pru, and Phillipa had a lot of growth. Between mama being put in her place, then having to face how she has treated her daughter, how she sees her daughter, and then realizing how her daughter is stronger than she realized was quite the journey. And then beyond that seeing the jealousy the sisters had for Pen all along, the way it burned in them because some part of them always felt that their mama loved her most, favored her most even with her treatment. That all the girls really wanted was love of their mama. Seeing that family all together at the end, not jealous of who had the heir, just happy, with their families was beautiful.

Colin

Oh dear sensitive Colin Bridgerton. You really are a soft angel boy. He was so in love, so smitten and we needed that for him to understand how he felt up front but the moment he found out about Pen, you could feel the heart break, the confusion, the anger, the loss. And it didn't just magically heal. He loved Pen, he knew that but the burn inside to reconcile that he couldnt tear LW from her, couldn't rip it from her soul was literally a dark cloud over him for the back half. I took no issue with his words in anger, the were to be expected. He no more meant them or believed them than the stupid ass words people say in anger or stating he would never court her. They were simply words.

His mother was right. He is sensitive. Sleeping on the couch, pouting everywhere. He could not reconcile his thoughts. Could not get her to give up LW for anything and his brain could not comprehend. It was only when he went back to her letters that he realized Pen was not LW, LW was Pen. He loved ONE woman and they were the same woman. He also needed to stop taking control and stop trying to save the day. Pen was a capable woman and he needed to stop trying to control her.

I think the greatest thing about Colin as a character is that he is a sensitive person who loves wholly. He is able to put away the notion of the MAN needing to be the one who runs things. He lets her be a partner with him, in sex, in life, in their roles. This is shown not just in the fact he lets her take on how to fix the LW situation in the end, but also having her on top in the bedroom in their final sex scene. She's a participant in their marriage, not a submissive wife. This is refreshing in this world and I'm happy to see it in Colin.

Penelope

What a ride for Pen she had. She was faced with giving up her dreams to let Colin thrive in his. And she was willing to do so, lets just preface they gave us that scene where she put away LW for us to transition to Colin finally losing his writers block and happily writing away. She gave it up only to be faced with a challenge and needing to take up the quill again. Pen needed to save the Bridgertons and did so later on but she was willing to give everything up for Colin.

I loved her convos with Gen and how it was another woman who allowed her to see that women did not need to give up their worth for men. AMEN! No one said, Colin needed to give up his dreams but Pen absolutely was able to have hers too. I loved this and then to see her stand up to Colin in their second fight, to let her voice be heard to him and not let him talk over her was also important.

The fact that Pen stood up for herself, diverging from the books where Colin does this for her in the books, having Pen stand up for herself thus saving herself and outing herself to the ton, I liked this. Pen was able to put LW away and use her OWN voice to the ton and explain to everywhere why she created this entire empire. I thought this was beautifully done and then having her let Colin out of the marriage afterwards so that she basically put them now on a level playing field was perfect. His speech at that point should be put in a museum because it leveled me. I think this put them finally into the right place for their marriage and lets them begin as equals. They both have a career, they both have a purpose, they have each other and they do things together. She's not out there alone anymore.

What a fucking journey. God I love this show.

So yeah, I know I'm seeing people upset, they didn't get the spoilers they wanted, didn't get some pieces they built up and you are allowed to feel that way. I think my only gripe I have is that our sex montage was cut from the show and instead we got too much Ben and his tiresome threesome that went no where. So that is my only gripe. Give me that deleted scene and I'll be happy forever. Otherwise....

Polin is life! I loved everything they gave us and I have no complaints.

A Vicious Game - Review

The review is hidden below due to spoilers.

What changed from the previous books:

The first thing I can think of to mention is the main plot. I am a sucker for nature-based quests, so as soon as it was clear that Keera was going to have to travel around Elverath to unlock the seals, and that they would unlock possible nature-based powers, I was hooked. I even made a list of locations where I thought the seals would be, based on the map and the hints provided (my theory was that the seals were connected to the different woods, so I looked for water bodies near them. I only got one location right tho).

Despite this, there were some plot parts that I disliked or that confused me. One of them being Killian's presence in Myrelinth because I was 90% sure Damien had ordered him to be locked his in room in Koratha, and even more because no one (particularly Keera) seemed to ask any questions about this. Of course this would be answered toward the end of the book, but I'd still have preferred if there had been some sort of explanation or mention.

Another part I didn't like (as I mentioned in the review of A Shadow Crown) was the possibility of a love triangle with Killian, Keera and Riven (if only I knew...), so when Keera kissed Killian (and he kissed her back) because she was hellbent on pushing Riven away, I was so angry I almost stopped reading the book. Props to the author for writing the chemistry between them so well (again, if only I knew) that it made me question if Keera and Riven were endgame or if Riven was going to die and she would end with Killian.

However I wasn't just upset with the relationship side of this scene, but also with Keera's dumb behavior, which brings us to...

Even though there is a content warning list at the beginning of the book and I clearly read 'relapse', I was not emotionally ready to read about Keera's relapse. The first few chapters were hard to read, but I'm glad Gerarda was there to get Keera's head out of her ass (I cannot believe I'm saying this!).

That was another pleasant twist I wasn't expecting. Gerarda turned out to be a character that I grew to love and admire, and I was especially happy to see her as another symbol of representation.

Let's now address the elephant in the room, the plot twist to rule them all. I felt like I hit a brick wall headfirst. It was one of those plot twists where I had to close the book and take a moment to gather my thoughts before I could proceed, because all I could think about was EVERYTHING that happened in the other two books, and how much foreshadowing I missed (I can't wait to reread the saga with a different set of eyes.

I always had a feeling of suspicion about Killian, but honestly, I thought it was because he was going to turn out being a spy to the crown or something. I am very pleased with the plot twist, although it was a bit hard to read the spicy scene the way it happened.

Two honorable mentions before I move on to the theories:

Keera's depression is so relatable. How many times did I have the same thoughts of "The time of easy days is gone, but perhaps they would be easier without me"? For the same reason, "Your mother felt everything as deeply as she could. it made her a fierce leader and a loyal friend, but it also made her lonely" is also something I relate to a lot.

Keera holding lightning was hot. When I read "You will be able to call storms and lightning at will" I almost died. Give me as strong, powerful woman who can wield lightning and I will fall at her feet.

Theories:

My theory of the lock of the power being connected to the King proved itself wrong, but I don't even care because I preferred the way it happened. I figured early on in the book that Riven's power was connected to the seals and he was going to die when the last seal broke, so I wasn't expecting him to actually survive, nor that he would become a Halfling, which I guess makes sense.

Because of this, I think that the reason why Riven was the way he was (Fae and Mortal) was because of his miskwithir connection to Keera. Like he was born with this power because Keera would need it in the future, and once she "siphoned it" (which is not confirmed but it's my theory), Riven no longer needed to be Fae.

Based off on that, I think Keera's blood is no longer Amber, because she went through a reverse transformation. Which means she's no longer Halfling but full Fae.

Let's talk about Collin (again). I should really trust my instincts. I had a feeling from the first moment that he was the mole, and turns out I was right, just... not in the way I wanted to be. Damien is a psycho and the way he used Collin is disgusting. I love it.

Hmmmmm hard to say because I tend to end even my angstiest fics on a hopeful note.... I guess maybe "Night Visions?" Or, I'm sure there's a one-shot back in Ye Olde Star Wars collections somewhere that was extra angsty, but I am not going back to read those right now because I have neither the time nor fortitude.

However, I will be publishing something during Merry Month of Cohen that is p angsty so keep an eye out for that he he :)

7. What’s the fic you wrote with the happiest ending?

Again, hard to say because I end almost all of my fics on a happy/hopeful note. I feel like maybe "Blessed Be The Man?" I really liked the way that one ended.

8. Do you get hate on fics?

Not really. I've had some... aggressive? comments before that bordered on rude, but they never seemed to be coming from a place of hate. Usually, it's just people who enjoyed the story but made the presumption of telling me an element they had wished was different in a way that was not very politely worded. I don't take a lot of offense to it. I'm not popular or controversial enough to get actual hate comments lol.

9. Do you write smut? If so, what kind?

Nah bro. I get giggly and weird when writing a kiss scene; what the characters do beyond that is none of my business lol.

10. Do you write crossovers? What’s the craziest one you’ve written?

Not really? I tried writing a Star Trek Voyager/Star Wars crossover once but never finished it because it was not clicking. Other than that,,,,,,,, I guess @well-and-true and I keep having our Treksonas do holodeck programs based on The X-Files, which hasn't really been ficced (yet) but it's fun to imagine! Lots of shenanigans.

15. What’s a WIP you want to finish but doubt you ever will?

Ummmmmm I outlined an extremely ambitious fic based on the Threshold!AU that would be multichap to the extreme and I LOVE it a whole lot but I am not sure I will ever have the fortitude or attention span to actually write the whole thing. I want to so bad.

16. What are your writing strengths?

I like the way I write movement and nonverbal comm. I also like my dialogue, once I get a good understanding of the way a character talks (it can take a bit).

Aside from that, I like my comedy. I love love love writing comedy. I love the beat of it, I love the nitty-gritty of correctly timing it, I love that it can be dry or slapstick or subtle or witty, I love that it can be situational. I'm not a perfect comedy writer, but it's a shoe that fits me well and, IMO, I continue to fit better and better as I learn and practice.

17. What are your writing weaknesses?

HOO BOY well,,,, lately I feel like I have been struggling with "show don't tell." IDK why. I also hate how often I start sentences with "He" or "She" and I wrestle with finding more interesting ways of beginning sentences. I mostly write short-form fics, but I am working on a multi-chap fic right now and I have discovered that longform plots can be difficult to wrangle. I just wanna skip the "plot" and get to the good stuff (the significant character scenes).

And Still, The Sea is Salt. I wrote it 2 years ago and it is still, IMO, my best work. It's a little more.... niche? of a ship and fandom (Pike/Una, Star Trek SNW) but I liked the story I told and the way I told it. And the poem I incorporated into it.

I also really liked my very first Star Trek: Enterprise fic, "Parent-Teacher Association," because I felt like I nailed the characterization and (as prev mentioned) I LOVE writing comedy.

Okay so the "they have long necks to save energy" thing is actually an outdated theory with little support (sorry, I'm taking a dinosaur biology class rn and I feel compelled to be annoying about it) because it's like waaay more expensive to build and maintain a long-ass neck like that then to just move around. It might make sense for whales to do that sort of thing because the water keeps them up, but sauropods are terrestrial so they don't have that goin for them.

They had long necks for probably several reasons but my favorite is simply "cus they could". See, most dinosaurs like sauropods didn't have MAMMAL lungs, they had BIRD lungs. And bird lungs are fancy things with specialized anatomy that I will not break down here because I'll do a bad job of it but here's the highlights:

-we know this cus their ribs and vertebrae show special formations that allowed extra air sacs like birds

-bird-style lungs are much, much more effective than mammal lungs. We're talking like, 90% oxygen extraction compared to a mammals paltry 50% or so.

-why don't many mammals have long long necks? Because our lungs are garbage! It would be like breathing through a snorkel. We'd have to get weird with a bunch of stuff to let it happen! Don't ask me about giraffes, I know nothing about giraffes except that there's a REASON the giraffe body plan is rare and this is a big part of why(elephants can breathe through their mouths too, they're not in snorkel land like giraffes). Birds, on the other hand, have jacked up their breathing stats like mad, and they get to have silly long necks. And sauropods are, well, they're not birds but they're sure did have bird breathing setups. So why did they have long necks? Why not?? Sure, building them is biologically more expensive than just moving around (birds, mammals, and dinos were Built To Move) but if you're not paying the snorkel tax, why NOT have a silly long neck to reach tall leaves? (Or display or watch for predators, again we can't say 100% since they're super dead)

Another reason they could get so big is that being big is actually metabolically efficient. There's this thing called the square cube law, which basically says as surface area increases, volume increases even more. So if you're super big you have way more volume per surface area than if you're small. Animals are pretty water-filled, so look at it this way: a mouse is a glass of water and an elephant is a swimming pool. If you heat both of them up to 100 degrees, which will stay warm longer? The swimming pool, cus it's bigger (and so has more volume per surface area). So an elephant is better at keeping itself at homeostasis. What this means is that your initiative estimates for how much a really big animal needs to eat is probably too high! 1000 lbs of mice is going to need way more food than a 1000lb elephant. Sauropods ate a lot! But they didn't eat quite as much as you might think, because you can't just scale up food intake like you'd think, it's adjusted by size.

The mouth and gut stuff is pretty on point from what I know tho! These guys were great at eating leaves.

Ever since Y/N was younger she knew her family was a little different, in fact not the most stable family in the neighborhood but there’s not such thing as a “perfect family” she learned that and was very happy to realize it, her mom is a nice woman, she takes care of Y/N and makes sure everything is fine, her dad is a nice man tho, Y/N and him don’t talk that much but he cares about her, her mom and dad fight constantly, sometimes it is just screaming about unsolved problems in the past, sometimes it’s too much for her, those comments that are thrown in the air to piss each other, Y/N it’s not her fault, She knows it’s not her problem, but can’t help it when she feels bad about it because if it’s not your problem it shouldn’t affect you but their problems do.

I completely agree with you on that DC should give back Deathstroke to Dick, Batman already has more than enough iconic villains

Also I was wondering what other villain would you want to be a part of Nightwing's rouge gallery?

Yeah definitely, Deathstroke is one of DC's most popular villains, if they really wanted to push Nightwing as his own Superhero then the least they can do is give him an antagonist as iconic as Deathstroke, it's also completely unfair how Batman got Slade on a sliver platter when they only reason Slade became so popular in the first place is thanks to all the stories of him fighting against Dick/his generation of the Teen Titans.

Aside from that (and this might shook some people), I think the Court of Owls should also be turned into mainly-Nightwing's villains, because really over the years the CoW had more personal connections to Dick than Bruce. From his grandfather being a Talon (they should bring him back as a recurring villain btw) to Dick himself almost being a Talon, to his childhood friend Saiko (he should get a new costume/name and also be a recurring villain) being turned into a Talon by the CoW in Dick's place after he got adopted by Bruce and Haly’s Circus being created by the CoW to secretly train children and the whole "The Gray Son Prophecy" plotline all make the Court of Owls more suitable to be Nightwing's villains than Batman.

Aside from that, I'm gonna be honest with you, I don't read as much solo Nightwing comics as I do to with other characters, so I'm afraid I don't know how much potentials his already-existing villains have, but I did mention Saiko, I like how he’s connected to both Dick and the Court of Owls, but I really want them to give him a more interesting costume because right now he looks like a random goon and maybe flesh out his and Dick’s history even more, like maybe he can be anti-hero/anti-villain that still has a soft spot for Dick from time to time (when he's not trying to hunt him down)

This might sound really vain, but I really think a big reason as to why not many people care about Nightwing's villains is because half the reason why popular villains are popular in the first place is because of their aesthetic alone (Megamind said it himself "the difference between a villain and a super-villain is presentation!") and most of Nightwing's villains look basic, lets be real.

Like I said I don't read that much Nightwing's comics, but to me when it comes to looks alone, I think characters like maybe Flamingo and Tusk should be pushed more as Nightwing’s villains? Mostly because I think their designs and names are far more memorable than any of his other enemies.

We don’t really have any villains in DC that are dressed as a bullfighter nor do we have any (male) villains that have pink as their main theme, so I feel like Falmingo has the potential to be the equivalent to the Riddler in Nightwing’s rouge gallery and Tusk is literally an Elephant-man metahuman? Just recton out his death and make him Nightwing’s Killer Croc (which is funny because I’m sure his good friends with Killer Croc, maybe we can see them teaming-up together?) not to mention that he was the first criminal Dick arrested as Robin and till this day Tusk has a personal grudge against all Robins because of that.

There's also Deathwing who can be his version of Man-bat (a wicked inverse version of the superhero) and honestly? I might not even mind them re-introducing Tarantula as a new anti-hero, as long as she doesn't have anything to do with the former Tarantula or THAT storyline, but she needs to have a proper spider-like costume tho.

1) DOGDAY X CATNAP

I LOVE IT! It's the classic sun and moon dynamic and if there's a trope i love in ship dymanics is the polar oposites, light x dark, bad x good, black x withe, i just ADORE it!. And depending on what version of these two you use this could be either so sad that i'll die (Game version) or so sweet that i'll end up with diabetes (cartoon version). ALSO THEY COULD TEACH EACHOTHER SO MUCH, like Catnap could learn to open up more to people thanks to Dogday, and Dogday could lear to rest propely and take care of himself as much as he takes care of others thanks to Catnap! SO CUTE AND I'LL LOVE IT!

2) BUBBA X BOBBY

Neutral. Not much to say to be honest, i haven't actually seen anything about this ship so i'm not sure of how their dynamic would be, i imagine something similar to the nerd x sweet girl or something like that; a slow burn where i think Bubba would fall first thanks to how sweet Bobby is, and his tries to win Bobby's heart in a subtle way end uo working with time. I undertand the appeal and it could be quite cute, but it's not really for me i think

3) BOBBY X HOPPY

Once more, i undertand the appeal, it's like the jock x nurse (becouse of course Bobby would take care of minor injuries herself, if she can't then she'll bring up Bubba). They are very cute indeed, and once more i can see them slowly falling in love with eachother, and dispite not minding it, i'm not activly looking for it either. Neutral (closer to good)

(Also i can't see them and think on Chrismas you all, they are literally red and green)

4) CATNAP X HOPPY

I don't think it would work, at all. In the others i could see scenarios were they falled for eachother but Catnap and Hoppy? They are the kind of opposites that just woudn't work togheter. I think that dispite not hating eachother, they aren't really close either. I could see them become better friends if forced to have an adventure togheter and undertand eachother in a better way, but never it escalating to a romantic relationship. So Nah, i don't like it, that doesn't mean you can't, tho!

5) HOPPY X KICKINCHIKEN

I mean, maybe? It could be! Like, they would be for sure rivals to lovers if paired like this. Like they would be all the time fighting eachother to see who is best, but in a frendly way, with the time they would bond to grow closer, and maybe it could end up in them as parthners (the first to fall would be Kickin). Once more, i see the appeal but it's not for me, i see them more as best friends-rivals

6) BUBBA X KICKENCHIKEN

I ADORE IT!!!! I just LOVE the popular x nerd trope! And they fit it perfectly!!! Kicking would be the cool guy that ends ups falling for the nerd (Bubba) and tries to become his boyfriend, with the most stupid ass flirting you will EVER see. I'm talking about bad pick up lines, even worse jokes, stupid mistakes while traying to look cool, traying so hard to not look nerveous that it's obvious you are, but dispite the constant failure he never gives up and tries everyday to win Bubba's heart. Bubba at first finding it wierd, but slowly finding Kickin's stupid behavior funny and charming, without realizing aiming to see him again every day, still traying to get the elephant to become his boyfriend. Eventually it works and Bubba accepts Kickin's offer.

7) BOBBY X CATNAP

yes but no. In paper it sounds great, silent guy that has a soft side for his sweet girlfriend that somehow managed to make him fall in love with her due her sweet and caring behavior. But then, there's something that i feel would end up ruining the relationship; their love lenguages. Becouse you see, due how reserved Catnap seems to be, i don't think he is a big fan of physical touch, sure he can tolerate some amount (and even enjoy some light physical touch) but he would rather do servicial acts as a way to show his love rather then doing it in a physical or verbal way. For example, he might not say 'i love you' every day to his lover, but he will make them a nice cup of their favorite tea flavor, even if their never told him that's their favorite. He will notice tiny details about them and remembering every single word that camed out their mouth.

While with Bobby, physical affection is a must, It's her favorite way to show love! Are they going to sleep? Bobby will cuddle them all night and there's no way out of it. Are they walking or just sitting somewhere togheter? Bobby is holding their hand all the time and will not let go for longer then 10 minutes. Are they watching a movie? Bobby is either with her head on their parthner's shoulder or scooping them for a hug for the whole movie. Catnap would find this constant touch annoying and unconfortable, while Bobby would feel not only guilty for it, but also will feel distant with him without this constant touch. So For me they woudn't work as a couple, just like friends.

8) PICKYPIGGY X CATNAP

Neutral, not sure were did it camed off from or what's the appeal to be honest. I can't think of a dynamic for them So, yhea, not for me but i don't see why not

since we're bring up the subreddit's greatest hits, I think my last straw was the 5th post within like 3 days that was basically "how dare Santana taint the beauty of finchel by ruining their perfect prom memory". I'm not here to argue it was her finest moment, but my god, the way people blow that out of proportion. And all just to canonize Finn, as if he shouldn't have been kicked out of that prom in the first place anyway. frankly, I'm glad Santana "ruined" that cringe moment.

The subreddit's greatest hits and it's just the most tired takes you've ever heard lol. What a time it was to check it several times a day.

I feel like that one's a classic but one I haven't heard in so long I sort of just blocked it. People get so obsessed with that particular detail. Like, I'm sorry, but out of Santana's whole rant that's the thing you think is the worst thing she's ever said? Obviously it was cruel, but in the context of how I feel about the whole scene and 100 Pezberry stuff in general I really don't pay it much attention.

But my god people love to shit on Santana for that one thing in particular. Let me play Satan's advocate for a moment and be the blatantly biased Santana stan people think I am lol. She wasn't lying, was she? All Santana did was reveal that it was only because of her and Quinn that Rachel got the crown. Frankly, I don't know what Rachel thought happened. I mean, even in the scene itself she fears it's a joke. If I were Rachel, I'd be pissed that Santana would stoop so low as to want to ruin my prom moment, sure, but then I'd think for a second and realize what that stupid bitch was actually saying. That she and Quinn both cared about Rachel enough to want to give her the crown, completely disregarding McKinley's vote. That's got to count for something, and sure it got revealed by Santana being a bitch but if the Pezberry feud proved anything it's that Rachel's got to see Santana's good side more. But, I mean, yeah, it was a low blow from Santana. Not earth-shatteringly cruel tho by any means.

And also, and this is what gets me: the scene never brings up Finn. Santana never does, Rachel never does. It's the fans who automatically think, oh how dare she ruin that Finchel moment. And I think that's doing Rachel a disservice, who probably did very much like her dance and joint triumph with Finn but it meant more than that to her. She specifically highlights her friends' belief in her mattering the most. And that meaning stays even after the revelation because Quinntana believed in her, even if, in her hurt, Santana used the fact against Rachel. So what I'm trying to say is that, because of Cory Monteith's and therefore Finn's tragic death the fans have this tendency to consider certain things sacred. But it's them who gave that scene this meaning, not the scene in 100 that has nothing to do with Finn being gone and Santana somehow intentionally ruining Rachel's memory of him. That's literally not what happened and even Santana wouldn't stoop so low as to insult his memory, not to Rachel.

In general, season 5's approach beyond The Quarterback and special mentions here and there, like City of Angels and Bash IIRC is to ignore the Finn elephant in the room. And so it's annoying when people cherry-pick when he's relevant and what callbacks are specifically about him when, in fact, they're not. And it's like they're reducing s5-6 Rachel to Finchel, too, in a way, which is its own thing. I have seen people on the subreddit say they can't fully love Santana because of this particular action and I'm sorry, that's just bonkers. Specifically because she ruined this Finchel memory for Rachel? That's not even what the scene is about. You're getting mad at fictional character Santana Lopez because of a leap in logic you have made. At least get mad at her for the right reasons, geez, like her transphobic comment and overall behaviour in this scene. But no, it's one of those fandom things where an interpretation gets spread like wildfire and people forget what's actually in the text. It's like getting mad at Blaine for something he did in a fanfic.

And you know what Anon, I think I'm with you on being glad that moment was ruined lol. Because I find that moment so incredibly obnoxious and I think it's my top 1 worst Finchel moment, so. It's a contended spot though.

Gamma rays are hazardous to life they can cause damage to bone marrow and internal organs and they easily pass through the body and thus pose a formidable radiation protection challenge. They are also produced by the hottest and most energetic objects in the universe, such as neutron stars and pulsars, supernova explosions, and regions around black holes.

God I'm so in love with this! And the nuclear decay, damage to bone marrows and internal organs (as expected, also I've heard that radiation also causes teeth to fall out, tho I'm not too sure abt it), and the HOTTEST things in the UNIVERSE????? Holy hell

I don't know much abt nuclear and radiation stuff bc we haven't gotten to that part in our science stuff yet— so I'm very glad and grateful piece of information!! Many kudos to you!!

I've been so hyped abt this AU bc it started when I watched those Minecraft tnt mods on tiktok and thought: "Why not let Tokoyami have that power? It suits him."— and thus the birth of the "Nuclear Blood" AU. I basically wanted him to be Bakugo but, as it is, poses so much more threat and the consequences adding to those explosions. I've also pictured his feathers to have bright tips at the end, and as long as it may go, whilst floating like some sort of black dreadful gas, and the eyes! Of course they'd go green (or pink, I feel like, bc bright pink can be an intimidating color in the right light, and not so much in contrast with his red eyes). Also his "body" wouldn't really be called a Body, would it? All that radiation and nuclear energy and other deadly things wouldn't match with a biologically constructed one (let alone the potential great consequences of it, and it wouldn't do to have such a godly power if you do not have the right body for it— like putting metric tons of water into a cup); so his body could be just a really solid gas structure perhaps? It goes well with the ghost things you've mentioned.

Tokoyami in Nuclear Blood basically being a very very thick presence of gas (or otherwise, if you want Eldritch things, if this already isn't Eldritch in a way science can become), and a walking supernova. People feel like they're dying around him, or maybe nauseous if Tokoyami seals himself so tight he wouldn't be blamed. He'd probably wear anti-radiation suits, or clothing made of the same material, and has a reputation of avoiding touching things or being touched by people (especially the young).

There are so much stuff I wanna add, tho the unfortunate thing is that I don't know enough about nuclear science to actually, and accurately, make things easier. I would attempt to read/watch stuff about it tho! Bc I'm hyped and I'm not going to back to down! There's so many things (both good and bad) I want to give or have Tokoyami experience— as well as the changes in his personality and behavior (he'd probably be a bit insane, and hallucinate at certain times), so yeah!! Merry I go for this Au! There's lots I wanna do and draw and write!!!

Between everything you enjoy (drawing, writing, music bands, animals, etc.) what is the thing you care most about, and why?

Owwww, now you asked a really difficult question! I like a nice balance between them all, but I think the two strongest ones are: animals and drawing/arts/creativity.

I don't know if I can put them in order tho, as they are so different from each other and both are things I have grown up with, and without which I would not be able to live.

Basically I like other animals more than I like humans. Especially cats. You can always, always trust them in being honest. They rarely fake anything, but what's more important is that they will be honest about how they are feeling and they will show if they care about you and they are never just pretending to like you. They also show it if they don't like you, and animals are great at sensing which people are not that friendly with animals. Our late dog was super good at spotting people like these, she had never really met my cousin's boyfriend's dad but when she did, she just disliked him and did not want to go near him at all - and he did not really like animals and isn't the nicest around them despite also having a dog. And our late dog generally liked all people, and she had only a few (usually men) that she seemed to be afraid of right from the first second of seeing them. And she never ever liked those men.

And then the arts. Like, I have been drawing ever since I was able to hold a pen. There are papers in a folder my mom collected about me for the first 3,5 years of my life before my younger siblings were born, and occasionally I had been drawing things too. Nothing particular since I was a toddler, but some of them look eerily like faces. And I had some phase where everything I was drawing was either ghosts or boogeymen or similar monsters but looks like I was rather liking those than being afraid of them. I don't even know where I picked those up, unless it was from the Moomin tv series, even tho the Groke was very scary :D (The Groke's Finnish name, Mörkö, is also the Finnish word for "boogeyman"!)

So like. Drawing and arts have obviously has always been very important hobby to me and still continue to be that. It's a way of expressing myself, and to feel good about myself. Especially nowadays after I got over the teenage-perfectionism and understood that the process of making art is not just going uphill, but it's series of uphills and downhills and you're always going uphill eventually. Sure it comes with the problem of "do I have the audience and if not, will I ever find my audience?" People keep telling me that I will find my audience, but when it just doesn't happen, you start to lose hope and start to look for errors not only in your art, but also in yourself. You can always turn it around and think "well I'm just different and have different taste", but it will always keep coming back to you questioning yourself and wondering if it could actually be that there's just something wrong with you instead of you just being quirky and unique. So, it's an isolating feeling at its worst. Constant rollercoaster between these two ends.

Anyway, because of what I just said, I think I'm gonna answer to this: animals. Working with horses was the best kind of therapy I have ever had. Cats make me laugh and happy. Dogs are nice too even tho I'm more of a cat person (and no dog is like how our late dog was, still missing her every day <3). Horses are amazing. Rats are fun too. I like all animals really. I just like existing in the same room with them, watching them and maybe communicating with them. I wish to see elephants some day. I already saw giraffes in Berlin zoo which was amazing - we were there too late so we did not see the elephants, but at least the giraffe house was still open! So yeah. Animals. They're so much better than humans and have never betrayed me.

Hello legend it's so late rn so if you have notifs on this is my apology note but let me know how the bookstore went today!! Or if you ended up seeing anything you liked / bought 👀 I had a little look at my reading list (it's my 10 year old ipads iBooks app full of downloaded pdfs. I update it like every 8 months from my folder of screenshots of anyone praising any book ever) and I have a few extra little recs if you ever find yourself stuck for something. I say that like we both probably don't have 100s of recs already but ignore that fact.

The most promising to me looked like "the elephant in the brain" which talks about hidden motives in everyday life (according to the synopsis 💀). I do enjoy a good insight on the mind now I will say big enjoyer. I've got some Carl Jung books in this list as well but I feel like I need to get back in the habit of reading before I start biting off those pieces. It's gonna take every brain cell in my head to pull together on it and I just don't have that capacity rn bye. Another sexy read looks to be "permenant record" by Edward Snowden who basically worked for some national intelligence company and a few years back leaked some fucked up tracing shit they were doing on consumers. Gotta love being reminded about my internet footprint, god I hate the thought. Might be practically common knowledge in that book at this point, not sure but it sounded promising! On a fiction note I'm like 2/3s in (on/off for the last literal year) "the babysitter" by Phoebe Morgan. I quite like it, it's weird to read something in first person but you get used to it quick enough. It's about a girl who was babysitting (we're all shocked) who got murdered on the job (now we're actually shocked) and basically following the case, but following one suspect more than others. I can't say if it's actually going to be predictable or not because I haven't got there (and at this rate I might never make it) but it's an easy read and an enjoyable one!

Hello hello, no need to apologise, always happy to hear from you ^_^ I went very nicely, package was basically presents for my friends but I did end up finding and buying Almond! Walking around in bookstores is a trap for real tho, I had the urge to buy such a big stack of books and start reading immediately. Definitely took some photos of titles to look around online for them, buying from websites always will end up cheaper than in actual bookstore after all. Thanks to that gotta get reading vibe I got I finally got around to cleaning up somewhat and adding stuff to my reading list on storygraph account I made a long while ago and it ended up being 200+ positions and that's definitely not all of them even 😭 I'm such a book collector tbh I love having physical copies of books but I also always fear I'll end up not liking what I bought and waste money... Seeing photos of other people's bookshelves filled with manga or books always makes me want to spend so much money and have similar sized collection 😭 I'll add all your recs to my tbr and definitely read them at one point! I'm also big fun of psychology and mind insights! Similarly horror isn't really my thing but psychological thrillers? Yes 😍 I'm struggling with finishing Girl on the train for a year or two now... It's alright, just not a big fun of how much antagonising each other there is between female characters when chapters are from their povs like understandable but also tiring to read through in my experience. I also really like the idea of giving someone book, music or any other recs, it gives me quality time love language feel, wanting to include someone in something, it's very sweet! I definitely will end up giving you more recs especially cause it's summer so still more time to indulge yourself. I also spent longer than usual on genshin with new areas opened to explore for summer event, looks very nice and time really flies when you play 😔 There was MCC yesterday🧍🏻‍♀️...I completely forgot, literally remembered somewhere around midnight and checked twitter to see who won. Feeling conflicted cause on the one hand I always have my fingers crossed for George win but if he and his team ended up winning that one MCC when I forgot about it I would feel so annoyed 😐 Also heard there was some drama with noxcrew and dream and I try to be fair but when many players end up voicing displeasure over glitches in games or the way games are constructed than throwing it all as just biased complaining and hate is definitely not what I would expect from people who should care about feedback and enhancing the players and viewers experience, very immature move in my opinion especially with community that is so vast in people with a lot of knowledge about mechanics and creativity to resolve issues or propose ideas for modyfing games. And thank you, it pretty small team so everyone is understanding and nice, definitely enjoyable so far! After I read what was going on in your place, I'm so happy you had opportunity to get away from that quick, definitely more stressful environment than it should be!
