Don't know which sibling I want to focus on after the story I'm currently working on but either way Blade might be losing some blood.

hhi please talk about this ... you get me i think
Tumblr media
Hi sorry this took so long I got my brain rewired and hijacked by Ceroba again. Anyways. Ralsei. That fuckin freak goat
Where do I even start? I could go the route of his design and how inconsistently he (and uniquely him as opposed to a more wide-spread lack of consistency) is portrayed both in and out of game and why I find that interesting, but I should probably do that separately.
Because I'm really here to ramble about him as a character, and what sides of him tend to be forgotten and ignored.
Most of the fandom that I've seen sorta reduces Ralsei down to what he is on the surface, a walking plushie who wants to make everyone happy, and while I understand WHY it's so common, it leaves me really unsatisfied with how he's presented in the fandom. He's more than that, he's not just the toy he tries to act as.
And I emphasize the "act as" there, because it's important to note how often he does this. He (and the game) gives you a million offers to hug him, if not that he'll talk about baking a cake for you, or you'll get to call him cute, ect.. Little acts of comfort he'll lean on a lot. On top of that, he'll always encourage you and Susie to be pacifists in Chapter 1 no matter what you do. Keep this in mind.
The next thing I wanna mention is his whole deal with "purpose." He's introduced by reading off a prophecy to you, and his whole conflict with Susie in Chapter 1 is trying to get her to be a hero with him and Kris for the sake of said prophecy. Later on he states that Darkners exist to serve Lightners and make them happy, and adds that it's supposedly the only way they can feel fulfilled. In Chapter 2, he objects to learning S-ACT and R-ACT because that's supposed to be Kris's special talent. There's probably more examples I'm blanking on at the moment, but those stick out to me the most here.
On top of all that, he really lets you walk all over him (sometimes literally). You mentioned before how he goes "If you want to hit me, that's okay, too!" and like. Yeah that's kind of the perfect summary of it he really did just Say That. What's wrong with you goatboy why are you like that???
Expanding on that more, despite encouraging pacifism he's perfectly compliant in letting you attack everyone and making him do it too; yet he still snaps (or as close as he can get to snapping right now) at Susie for doing the exact same thing. It's weird. He's fine when Kris does it, but when Susie does it's a problem? Why? He even suggests fighting as a way to get stronger in Chapter 2 (though I suppose that is at least after him being nice to King backfired on everyone).
It all fascinates me. It feels like he's trying to stick to a script while also letting you completely disregard it. He wants to be cute and lovable and wants to bring people comfort, but the only way he ever tries to comfort others is through hugs and baking or giving them a nice spot in his castle. Ironically for his thing with ACTing, he doesn't really "talk" about issues often.
Which leads me to his identity, Kris, the Player, and the way those may intersect.
Let's start off with Kris and the Player. A lot of what Ralsei gives you leeway on really feels like stuff for the player's enjoyment. He'll let you do things he doesn't want Susie to (fighting in Chapter 1, choosing who goes with who, ACTing, ect..) and use him for it when needed. He's famously VERY quick to disregard any meaning Spamton NEO's fight could have had and (again) relies on using himself as a plushie or making some cake or whatever to comfort Kris instead (which doesn't even work). I also like to note how he responds to any negative or silent choices from you in the Acid Tunnel of Love scene. He turns away from the camera (away from the player before turning opposite to Kris) in the first choice before going "ahahaha just kidding!! sarcasm!!! haaahhahahahaha!!!!, and in the second he fumbles on his words and tries to pass it off as "you-like" to be silent.
He also pans us over to Susie's POV in both chapters, and with the "So that's why..." at the end of both, it feels like he was trying to explain something to Kris during it??? Additionally: Weird Route. Do you remember the 1 in 20 chance he stares at the camera during the scene where he should be panning us over to Susie's POV? He just looks right at us. It has a unique sprite but it's disguised in name and appearance to look like an in-between frame from his dance animation at the start of Chapter 2. What the fuck does that mean. Huh. Why.
Oh also the him blushing easter-egg only happens when he and Kris's sprites overlap to a point where he'd be touching the sprite of the soul when made visible. Which sure is something I think
So like. Bro knows about us right . Am I crazy I think he knows. I feel like he's too focused on following the prophecy and being liked by us to not right?? Bro wants to play the role he was given in his script even if its uncomfortable or painful and panics when it doesn't go how it should too often right am I stupid or am I on to something please help me
Ok fuckin. Last bit. I'm gonna try to be quick I am tired.
Why He Goat
He resembles Kris's family, his name is an anagram of Asriel, you know the drill. I'm not so concerned with the "why" of that (I think he's the horned headband Kris wore as a kid, and his resemblance to the Boss Monsters is reflective of how that item represents Kris wanting to resemble their family), I wanna see how that ties into his identity. He states he doesn't know what being "ralsei-like" even means, and. Yeah that's probably adding a lot to it. It's also probably making how affectionate he tries to be very uncomfortable for Kris (almost like he's going despite that because they weren't originally who he was being this way towards Ooo Vessel Allusion Ooo).
I don't know how to wrap this up uhhh
I think Ralsei is more than the uwu babygirl fluffball this fandom makes him, he's a character with depth. He puts on a persona to be perfect for the player because that's his "purpose." It's his role in the story to teach you and do whatever you want while keeping the plot moving as it should. He cares, but he doesn't know how to comfort because he doesn't know how any of this works (like how he talks about friendship in the Acid Tunnel).
He tries to be perfect, but deep down he's still just. The lonely prince the prophecy needs.

What would you think about a Spade King rematch encounter, and how do you think it would go??? (I personally think he could use a rematch fight, it sounds like SO cool!!)
I agree!! It sounds dope as hell and it's something I've been sorta thinking about for my Kingdomrune AU.
Essentially, I think it'd be post-semi-redemption. Like, Spade begrudgingly has to accept that he can't thwart the heroes and (if) they didn't leave any Darkner behind, he aids them in what little ways he can. The rematch would be in a "I'm totally beating you up to make you stronger" kind of context. Like he still doesn't like you and is using the excuse of "helping" to take his anger out. This is what I'm planning to use for the aforementioned AU, (specifically Spade teaming up with the other suit kings in order to offer a formidable challenge to help you hone your combat skills), HOWEVER.
There's also a considerable... consistency issue in trying to re-introduce him as a fight, optional or not (which is why I added the other suit kings into it, actually). Because Spade King is kind of really weak, mostly on account of the fact that he's the First and Simplest boss. If Queen is anything to go off of, it seems all bosses after Spade are going to have at least Some kind of gimmick that makes them unique and intimidating, which means that Spade, in turn, will just... seem kind of basic.
Like, on a lore level, I kind of vibe with that, because he's the twisted up and "gone too far" embodiment of Lawful Evil, it makes sense that the guy who kinda just waited patiently for the heroes to march onto his doorstep would do everything like an old-school villain would. But... the bosses are only going to get progressively more difficult with each chapter, so the protagonists will also get their stats buffed, and if Spade comes back the exact same as in chapter 1, he's gonna get fuckin bulldozed!
I don't think he should be on par with Jevil or anything, and god I REALLY don't want another mecha fight a-la Queen's weird second phase, but there's gotta be Something to explain why he was such a wimp in chapter 1 if he EVER comes back for a proper rematch down the line. One route to take is retroactive, essentially find a way to explain how he was underpowered when he fought the kids originally (kind of like how Susie was constantly established as being underpowered due to hunger in chapter 1, as a means to explain why she's comparably weaker than someone like fuckin. Berdly.) On the OTHER hand. We could give him a power UP.
I think it would be fun as hell if he came back with a vengeance. Like a real, spite-fueled, "I'm going to fuck up your life" kind of vengeance. Either as retribution for some perceived slight against Darkner kind (snowgrave, maybe? but that seems a bit over the top and specific imo), OR, due to the Knight getting thwarted/defeated/unmasked (as the knight is undoubtedly a Lightner, finding that out might send Spade into a rage). It's a little less interesting on a characterisation level because it'd kind of flatten his already limited range of traits he's exhibited, BUT it would make for a very interesting fight, both through gameplay and through the consequences of it.
Cause like, coming back with even more vitriol and hatred than last time would imply something REALLY bad's going on with him. It was confirmed that the fountains somewhat *change* the monarchs they influence, so to get the same, or even WORSE behavior out of Spade WITHOUT his fountain...? It'd be hell to deal with. I'm not sure how redeeming Spade would even work after that, if it'd even be possible.
Getting him to making peace with the Knight, or making Spade reevaluate his decisions in a more meaningful way? Making him realize he's been hurting his darling son more than anyone else? It *could* work, but it could just as well backfire if he's been shaken into the same fervor as when he was under the influence of a fountain, without anything to even ground him anymore. So, you gotta beat him up again, but... What do you do after that? If he was given chance after chance to change and learn and grow and simply... refused to?
... On the OTHER hand, in the "helping you get stronger" scenario, redemption is kind of a given. You trust this asshole enough to Not Kill You if given the chance to (aka if he beats you), which means beforehand he must've somehow earned that trust. Either it's by being just barely nice enough to get a passing grade from the local Fluffy Boy to let him out of Dad Jail, OR by earning LANCER's forgiveness specifically, earning him a much better reputation with the rest of the fun gang as well (though Susie's gonna be hard to convince).
Really, he'd need to change in at least SOME way for him to be a viable "lighthearted foe" for you to take on in the Dojo, but I hope it won't be at the expense of his existing character. There's a fine line to walk between making someone redeemed naturally or unnaturally, and while Undertale had a lot of good redemption stories, Deltarune's handling of Darkners in chapter 2 kind of leaves me... uneasy at the prospect of a full and proper redemption for Spade. Hence why I call it a semi-redemption at the beginning of this unreasonably long post, I think it's the best possible scenario.
It's either "I don't really trust this guy but I wanna get better at fighting and beating up his former lackeys only goes so far", OR, "he's actually reached the point of criticality and there's no coming after this fight, let's take him out with a bang".

Hello! Me again! Let's go with episode 4...
What I like about this episode is that Eddie wants to leave the operation but she doesn’t. Not only because “he can´t” but also because she doesn’t want him to… Susie has realized she likes having him around and I assume, it’s not only because it’s good for business but also because she enjoys his company. She’s kind of disappointed when he continues to mention he wants an out.
I also love how she calls to check up on him, like wifey needs to know about husband!! and even though she knows something will go wrong, she stills let him do as he please… She wouldn’t allow this with other people. But her duke is her duke!! Another thing about this scene (in the restaurant) is that the chef knows her hahaha and Eddie’s frustrated about the whole situation!!
When they meet at the journalist’s house and get the envelope. He doesn't want to see what's inside she's the one who’s curious and tries to convince him?? When he says no… (at least from what we see). You can see she likes that he's a man of his word.
When they go to Max's house. She's introduced as his associate!! And when Max’s mentions Eddie has told him all about her… She looks flirty and flatter by the comment, perhaps intrigued about what he has said?? I love how they are in sync with what the other says immediately!! And she’s observing how he’s managing the whole situation. They are both in charge, real partners!! But he’s always aware of her...
When they go and the nutball scene happens hahaha I love that Eddie looks at Susie and she realizes he’s looking and with just a look she responds what he knows she will respond!! They already know how the other will react! GOD!!
In the end, when they are at the restaurant, it’s date night!! She explains how she works because she is the BOSS!! And when she says he’s proved to be useful… he BLUSHES!! She looks at him with pride? Amusement? Love?
Here comes my favourtite scene of the episode, Jack appears and Eddie looks like he doesn’t like being interrupted?? (you know mom and dad are having date night Hahaha) She leans on her chair and looks at him totally amused and smirks!! Eddie’s proud that he attacked the nazi and Jack mentions he’s a proper G. And when they look at each other aaagrrr she’s so proud of him! And, you see/feel she likes having him around, realizing she can count on him, he's useful and of course, attractive (Wink wink) She also enjoys seeing him in his element!! MARRIED!! The way she looks at him! My girl is falling!!!
For me… looking in the envelope I think references... taking risks TOGETHER!!
When is my 2nd season announced?

ooooh wanna see Ace, Sabo, Luffy and Yara as kids xD
An ASL + Yara AU just for you, anon! one day I'll work up the motivation to draw it but my drawing inspiration has been virtually nonexistent as of late
Enjoy these headcanons~
So in this AU, Mihawk left Yara in Windmill Village because it was somewhere Shanks recommended would be safe enough for her. He gives her to a foster family to raise while he's away, but he doesn't cut off all contact with her like he does in Yara's canon story. Therefore, Yara has a happier upbringing than she does normally, with foster parents who love her, but she still resents Mihawk for his extremely minimal parenting. Whenever he comes back to visit, he teaches her some swordplay (but to be honest, she probably learned more from Shanks than she did Mihawk and has a much greater respect for him than her own father).
Luffy befriends Yara first, since they're both kids in Windmill Village. Although she's quite quiet and spends most of her time in the local library, Luffy does insist on playing with her and will drag her out to go play by the ocean or show her cool bugs or stuff that he has found.
Yara has heard about Ace at this point, since he has gotten himself into trouble on more than one occasion, and she knows of him as this weird, angry kid who keeps asking about Gold Roger and beating up local thugs, but they don't meet face-to-face until later.
Once Luffy is sent to live with the Dadan family, he insists on introducing Yara to Ace and Sabo. Sabo and Yara hit it off instantly, but Ace acts like he wants nothing to do with her because she's a girl and will only slow them down.
(I can imagine Ace and Yara having a Calvin and Susie from Calvin and Hobbes-like relationship lol upon re-watching the postwar arc, I noticed young Ace doesn't have a very high opinion of girls XD)
Ace doesn't want her to accompany them in their adventures and tries to 'no girls allowed' their treehouse, but Luffy and Sabo overrule him on multiple occasions.
Yara honestly isn't terribly fond of Ace, either. She thinks he's a rude, belligerent little brat, and the two get into disagreements often. (If you had asked Yara back then which of the brothers she would one day end up married to, she probably would've said Sabo lol Ace would've been an unfathomable option)
Tensions between the two reach the point where Yara ends up smacking Ace hard enough to draw blood, at which Ace develops a begrudging kind of respect for her and allows her to accompany them into the woods more often. (She also learns his secret at the same time Luffy does, but rather than use it to provoke Ace, she just assures him that she doesn't mind who his father is).
Running around in the woods with the boys does help her hone her swordplay skills. She even engages in some shenanigans in the Goa Kingdom, stealing items and dining and dashing and the like, but at some point, her foster parents find out and she gets grounded with a warning that she is not to see them again.
Despite this, she still manages to sneak out and gets caught up in the Grey Terminal incident, barely making it out with Luffy and the mountain bandits alive.
She is absolutely devastated by Sabo's death, which kickstarts her hatred of the World Government and the Celestial Dragons.
Mihawk hears about all the trouble Yara has been getting in with these boys and decides (alongside her foster parents) to send her away to finishing school, where she will get a good education and learn how to behave like a proper lady. So Luffy and Ace end up having to say goodbye to her, too. (Or, rather, they hear that she was sent away without being allowed to say goodbye to them).
A few years later, Yara finally returns to Windmill Village and meets Ace and Luffy again. Luffy is excited to show her all the new moves he's been working on, whereas Ace, in the full throes of puberty, is immediately smitten. He has certainly grown up a lot, and with some help from Makino, is hardly the rude little brat Yara used to know.
Cue a childhood friends-to-lovers arc full of awkward teenage romance and a desire to make up for lost time that results in them sneaking out together every single night, though it still takes awhile for them to come to terms with their blossoming feelings for each other.
They're sitting on a cliff overlooking the sea when Ace (16) finally works up the nerve to ask Yara (15) if he can kiss her. (She says yes). He also tells her of his plans to go out to sea on his birthday and asks her to come with him, which she accepts.
When Ace sets sail at 17, he takes Yara with him and she becomes the first member of the Spade Pirates. With Yara’s competence as a navigator, they avoid being shipwrecked on Sixis Island, instead stopping there to refill some supplies. That’s where they meet Deuce and where Ace, who wants to explore a bit, comes across the Mera Mera no Mi. The three of them decide to build a better boat than the one Ace and Yara currently have that Ace can power with his newfound abilities. Things proceed as normal from there.

The Gentlemen : Quotes
"- Your inheritance has made you a very wealthy man, but that doesn't mean to say that you're rich. You're asset rich, cash poor. There has been a slightly unconventional approach from a lawyer based in London. His client has expressed an interest in purchasing Halstead Manor. (The lawyer) - When someone dies, the vultures start circling." (Eddie - Episode 1)
"- Yes, and the sooner you get rid of them, the better." (Lady Sabrina - Episode 4) - I just need to figure out a way of making them more money with a little less fuss. (Eddie - Episode 4) - Now, come one. Nothing like a good funeral to put things in perspective." (Lady Sabrina - Episode 4)
"- Behind the air of pomposity, there's a man you don't wanna fuck with. (Eddie) - Speak for yourself, Eddie." (Freddy - Episode 4)
"- He's rather lovely. He's your classic struggling artist. Just a little too desperate to be discovered." (Freddy - Episode 4)
"- Would you introduce me? (Eddie) - You're up to something, Eddie. (Freddy) - Never." (Eddie - Episode 4)
"- Oh, Freddy has many talents, but sticking isn't one of them." (Eddie - Episode 4)
"- It's the kind of risk-reward relationship I could get on board with. Free market, fucking great. Lack of regulation, check. No taxation? Yeah, baby. Smidge of illegality? Yeah, well, no business plan's perfect." (Max (?)- Episode 4)
"- Only thing he likes more than wine and fine dining is the sound of his own voice." (Susie - Episode 5)
"- Are you trying to blackmail us? (Susie) - Ah, well, that depends on your definition of blackmail. (JP) - Perhaps you could help us clarify your definition." (Eddie - Episode 5) "- We've all just gotta figure out what we're good at and fuck the consequences in the arse. (Freddy) - The consequences might fuck you in the arse if you do 14 years in prison." (Eddie) - Yeah, we're all in cages, brother." (Freddy - Episode 5)
"- That's the thing about running an international crime syndicate. We can get to anyone." (Susie - Episode 5)
"- You continue to deliver on your end of the bargain and see how they respond. Don't let 'em know what you're thinking. And meanwhile, prepare for all eventualities." (Geoff - Episode 6)
"- Well, you don't fuck about, do you? (Eddie) - Like you said, impulse, instinct, survival." (Henry - Episode 6)
"- I thought you burnt that bridge. You know what creative types are like. Passion runs high, but it's quickly forgotten." (Episode 6)
"- That's a very wild accusation. - Why don't you deny it, then, hmm?" (Episode 6)
"- There is nothing that I won't do to protect my family. (Eddie) - Careful there, soldier. I can be nice, and I can be not so nice. You've only seen me on one setting." (Susie - Episode 6)
"- Looking supremely fucking confident. As well you should." (Episode 6)
"- You may have a small army, but I am the state. I am the house. I am the establishment. And you are ill-equipped physically, martially, and intellectually for the fight you've mistakenly chosen to pick." (Susie - Episode 6)
"- What have you got to be sorry for? Didn't do anything, did you?" (Susie - Episode 7)
"- You're not thinking with your business brain. You're thinking with your emotional feelings. You're my angel of life, not my angel of death" (Bobby - Episode 7)
"- Violence and trickery has no place in our way of business." (Episode 7)
"- How do you intend to use their names? Mr. Johnston believes the key to a good deal is to give everyone something they want." (The secretary - Episode 7)
"- Now blood's been spilled, he's not gonna stop until he's got it. There's nothing he won't do." (Episode 7)
"- Problem is, I'm currently on the precipice of a difficult decision about which side offers the best chance of an exit... with the least possible fuss." (Eddie - Episode 7)
"- If you're gonna do it, just fucking do it. (Henry) - Oh, no. After you made my brother suffer, I think I'm entitled to take my fucking time. Make an example of you. Make sure no one ever tries to steal my business again." (Susie - Episode 7)
"- Because this is the one time I can do something selfless. The one chance I have to reclaim a shred of human dignity. The moral of the story is, you need to take the blows, accept the blame, all for the sake of the bigger picture." (Bobby - Episode 8)
"- And why me exactly? (Eddie) - It ain't gone unnoticed that you two have become a right double act working together." (Bobby - Episode 8)
"- I was under the impression it was verified. (Stanley Johnston - Episode 8) - No. You've been the victim of a deception, Mr. Johnston. (Eddie - Episode 8)
"-You see, until you've had the living shit beaten out of you, you don't know anything. But when you realize the only thing that matters is power, the whole world opens up. 'Cause it's literally there for the taking." (Jack - Episode 8)
"- However, if you want the benefit from my vast years of experience, I'd say that you're much more likely to regret the things that you didn't do rather than the things that you did." (Lady Sabrina - Episode 8)
"- It got me thinking. Nothing in life worth having comes without a little... danger." (Eddie - Episode 8)

since the topic of gewis christmas au is open: I present a royalty gewis au where George is a prince (people’s princess) who has responsibilities and all the royal duties. He has to prove his citizens that he is worthy of being their future king and all that stuff. So of course growing up he was taught with royal etiquettes and following royal protocols.
Enter Lewis. A city man who is here for some kind of job. Maybe there is a charity event for kids or something. But him and George meet. They have to work together for the charity event for kids and get to spend a lot of time together which leads to a lot of un. Snowball fights with the kids, Lewis seeing George with his people and if George is this good as a prince, he can only imagine what George would be like as a king, Lewis taking (sneaking) George to do things he wasn’t allowed to because he is a prince and safety first. Them obviously falling in love.
Bonus for the Mercedes team: Toto and Susie as George’s parents. Toto having all these rules and regulations for George which parallels what Toto has for George now (his driver contact and not being able to go skydiving). Susie being the cool mum. Jack and George moments. Shov, Michael, and James Allison and Vowles as people that work for Toto.
Bono, Angela, Valtteri working with Lewis and they are all here for their company. Them helping Lewis sneak George away.
Obviously there has to be angst before the happy ending. Toto finding out about Lewis and George. George who used to be his perfect following child turning into a rebel under Lewis’ influence but really George was a rebel before too. He just never got caught until now. Toto sending Lewis and Co back. George becoming angry before he becomes sad because he just lost the love of his life. Toto seeing how sad George is and realising his mistake and giving him the green light to go get his man. George going to Lewis’ city and to his work place. George and Lewis confessing their love for each other and bam happily ever after.
Of course can’t miss Alex as George’s best friend. The one who is supporting George throughout and pushing him to Lewis and telling him to go for it. The funny, supportive best friend.
So yeah that’s basically it. Thank you for bearing with my royal christmas gewis au brain rot.
OHOHOHOHOOHOHOH YES YES VERY GOOD all fandoms need royal au’s and this is, forgive the world play, KINGLY SHIT, and I have extra thoughts under the cut if you want them
The only thing I would suggest (if you’re open to it) is finding a way to weave into Lewis knowing about or being a part of royal structure BEFORE he meets George- the only thing I am a stickler for when it comes to turning merc into a family structure is remembering that Lewis was part of it before George- I’ve seen lots of people other Lewis in place of George- separate him from them and make George their baby and Lewis an intruder- and that always feels unfair at best prejudiced at worst y’know, it was his family before it was Georges- if anything, Lewis made it the family it is (yeah I know bono and shov were there before toto and Lewis- bite me and take the ride) you could even have George be an adopted son if you needed to- it just feels wrong for George to suddenly have more right to them than Lewis just bc he looks like Toto and was their junior- when Lewis was a part of McLaren MERCEDES when he was in his early 20’s
SO I would suggest possible knight of the realm Lewis, also bc hes v knight core in sooo many ways- so he could be part of the upper military, young when he joined but proved himself and trusted, he earned his way to being one of the most decorated knights ever known, and hes loved for it. Toto knows him well but he was never introduced to George or Jack due to the political and military nature of his job (and it keeps away any power imbalance between him and George)- and Lewis is away so much on diplomatic missions for Toto with Angela, Bono, Val and sometimes either James that there aren’t rlly places for them to cross paths, especially if it isn’t a modern au.
Perhaps they were even on an extended mission for the last 5 years or so coinciding with George being trained more seriously into his role as a prince- Toto might have travelled between them but Lewis wasnt at the palace to see George go from a distantly talked about young man he saw in passing to a whole ass adult man. It also means Lewis would be well aware of the outer palace and places to hide with George- while giving George the upper hand inside areas the royal family lives that Lewis would never have seen
It would also provide the angst for toto- yes he trusts Lewis and knows hes a good man, but its suddenly different when Lewis is courting his son- and hes especially aware of their age gap. And Lewis gets to say ‘you trust me with the country but not George??? The country should come before your son’ which of course it should but its hard to be in that situation as a parent, and it works out when literally the entire upper court and susie point out what a good man Lewis has always been, how they trust him with everything except the royal dogs because Lewis will baby them too much- and toto finally softens.
Anyway i adore ur idea and it got me rambly as hell in the BEST way

I have listened to 74 and Skies Forever Blue.
Personally I... don't think either really has much of a connection to Deltarune? I just think sometimes, authors really like exploring certain themes over and over again. Toby seems to enjoy exploring metafiction in video games, and subversions about 'what the people who fill certain 'classic archetypes' 'classic archetypes' in stories. (And I can't blame him, personally. I keep thinking up and writing stories where the 'chosen one' is subverted somehow.)
Could Dess and Kris end up mirroring the Princess and Knight in 74? It's not impossible. I've actually heard the theory that Kris is opening Dark Worlds to search for Dess in isolation from the song 74 before now. I've also always wondered why the creator of the Dark Worlds is called the Knight, and not the Maker or Author or Dreamer or Dragon or something like that. If the person who happened to be creating Dark Worlds was introducing themself as 'the Knight,' that'd be one thing, but it strikes me as kinda strange that the role itself is called the Knight. Furthermore, as I've also theorized in isolation, if Dess is meant to be an Asriel/Flowey parallel, it's possible that she does want to be rescued deep down, but feels she doesn't deserve it and thus lashes out and shoves people away.
So, analyzing themes Toby has done before and a few things about Deltarune. It's not impossible. But we know so incredibly little about Dess that some of us can't even agree on her species, so this seems to be another thing that seems like a big stretch to theorize about. Even if I, personally, like this kind of character and subversion of a lot more than 'what if Dess was a HOOMAN'
...That sad. I'd actually say that Deltarune already seems to have two characters that fit this particular parallel and subverson. Berdly and Noelle on a Snowgrave work as slightly less of a stretch. But really not much of a 1-1 parallel. XD
Mmhmm!
My first thoughts after listening to 74 and Skies Forever Blue was that both of these protagonists have 'Asriel' Vibes - 74 & Asriel are twists on 'Fairytales' - 74 has a perverted Princess & Asriel is secret 'Frog Prince' - while Skies Forever Blue's Girl has a similar tragedy to Asriel - a videogame NPC who has fallen in love with a careless HeroTM - and turns self-destructive because of said love.
(Both Asriel & the Girl also have a moment where in lue of a missing protagonist, they take control of the videogame world around them, making themselves the Protagonist, if only for a moment.)
...Leads one to think that Toby Fox loves deconstructing childhood fairytales. Applies similarly to Toriel, Undyne, Asgore, and Chara - twists on the Witchy Stepmom, the Hero, the Evil Demon King, and the Player Character.
Kris is a 'Hero' - a Knight in Shining Armor - and the twist is in plain sight - they are a Villain too - the fountain creator - and capable of being pushed to hurt Noelle.
(Not a statement on whether Kris WANTS to be the Villain - I don't think they do - which is probably why they let themselves be possessed)
The Most Obvious 'Princess' is Noelle - she's fits the bill for nice, well-born, and extremely passive - and she reminds me a lot of the Princess from 74 - because underneath the role of Princess she hides a decently complex and powerful person - and her own ability to hurt people.
(Susie rounds out the triad by being a Dragon/Villain with the ability to be a Hero - though I think we're missing a good chunk of her story still for me to comment on this - right now I view her as a Shonen Hero (like Naruto) in denial of her role, who would rather give it up to Kris and Ralsei.)
(Ralsei is purposely making himself a Tutorial Tip Fairy - so there's not much going on there until he breaks and grabs protagonistdom by the reins.)
Pretty much on the nose that Berdly is a corrupted Knight with Noelle as his Princess - though I don't think he'll have a similar 'Role' in the future - I think he'll relax in future chapters - and his relationships with the class / his family explored more.
I like to think he has younger/older siblings, and that's why he's so pressured to stand out.

Your Better Half ‘AMV’
An ‘AMV’ of JT Music’s Venom 2 fan song “Your Better Half”, featuring/sung by Audrey and the Ink Demon/Morgan Safe: C2 characters, C3 characters, Wally, Lacie, Buddy, Dot, Henry I could have used No Hero (JT Music’s song for the first Venom movie), but I’m planning on using it for another ‘AMV’...
(Open on Audrey when she first wakes up inside the reel. Brief shot of Audrey and Wilson standing by the Ink Machine as it activates.)
Audrey (v/o): Thought I was one of a kind,
But I'm nothing special.
What's under the pantomime?
A puppet, a vessel?
I dreamt once upon a time,
my body, a temple,
'Til it was gutted to become a dollhouse for the devil...
(Cut to the Ink Demon, AKA Morgan [short for Morgenstern] wandering the halls in his monster form. He comes across Audrey, but disappears into the shadows when she turns around.)
Morgan: Lights off, anybody home?
Through the window saw you in there.
Hear me knockin' 'cause I'm awful cold.
The long road, got me winded.
I don't wanna walk it all alone.
I'm from another part of town, but we're kindred.
Trust me, if you shut me out and lock the door,
The Big Bad Wolf will blow it off the hinges.
Don't tell anyone about me.
Hope you're good to keep a secret.
I can show you worlds without the boundaries.
When you're broken, I'm moldin' all the pieces.
Lost your better half, want to get it back?
I'm the better half you thought you never had.
Drop whatever plans your conscience ever had.
Stop pretendin' that you're not already bad.
(Shot of Audrey retrieving the Gent pipe. Shot of Audrey encountering Morgan in his Toon form. As he runs off, Audrey looks down at the floor with a sad expression.)
Audrey: Baby, I don't wanna scare you anymore.
Morgan (v/o): I know you're gonna.
Audrey: Maybe I don't wanna wear this anymore.
Morgan (v/o): Looks so good on ya.
Audrey: My burden is carryin' me.
When I buried the monster, all I buried was me.
(Shots of Audrey fighting the ink spider queen, the Lost Ones’ leader, and Lilith [Malice])
Morgan (v/o): Let me in!
I wanna crawl under your skin.
Let me in!
I have unwound the web within!
Let me in!
What good will solitude do you?
Who has your back?
It's time to introduce you to your better half!
(Cut to Audrey entering Memory Joey’s room. We see the two talking, though we don’t hear what is said. Shots of the Sillyvision Survivors [Henry, Wally, Sammy, Susie, Norman, Shawn, Allison, Thomas, Grant, Lacie, Buddy, and Dot] departing the real studio for [in most cases] the last time. Shot of Henry, having escaped the reel, driving away with Bendy, Boris, and Alice.)
Audrey (v/o): Better to trust the devil you know...
Morgan (v/o): Than the devil you don't.
Audrey (v/o): As if I had any choices...
Morgan (v/o): Just listen to my voice.
Audrey (v/o): ‘Cause I've been makin' a hell of my own...
Morgan (v/o): And I welcome you home.
Audrey (v/o): Now it's time to pick my poison...
My blood is thick with venom,
Got your fangs under my skin,
But only 'cause I let 'em,
Plenty web we've left to spin.
A part of me has love for carnage,
Consciously I never want it,
But I'm afraid I've let him in...
(Cut to Wilson’s laboratory, where he attempts to use Audrey as a sacrifice to bring Shipahoy Dudley to life. In the background, Eve [C4 Alice] freeing Lilith from a birdcage-like contraption and giving the other angel a comforting hug.)
Audrey: Praytell what else you plan to take from me?
How much more do I have to lose?
Morgan (v/o): I’m taking everything.
Audrey: I guess not every blessing's meant to be
A gift I get to choose...
(Shot of Audrey escaping the laboratory after pushing Wilson into the device meant for her. Cut to Audrey approaching Morgan in monster form, only for him to shriek in pain and turn into his Toon form.)
Morgan (v/o): Let me in!
I wanna crawl under your skin.
Let me in!
I have unwound the web within!
Let me in!
What good will solitude do you?
Who has your back?
It's time to introduce you to your better half!
(Cut to Audrey desperately trying to remain stable. Morgan kneels down beside her and holds out a hand. After a moment, she takes it, and the two become forever bound to one another.)
Morgan: We've become one of a kind.
Audrey: No one's on our level.
Morgan: Perfected our pantomime,
My puppet...
Audrey: Your vessel.
Morgan: No sacred places to hide.
Audrey: We burned all the temples.
Audrey and Morgan: And from the ashes,We can build a dollhouse for the devil!
(Cut to monster-form Morgan on a kaiju-style rampage through the studio. Shot of Audrey on the beast’s back, wearing a determined expression. Cut to Morgan delivering a brutal beatdown to the half-Toon monstrosity Wilson has become.)
Audrey and Morgan (v/o): Let me in!
I wanna crawl under your skin.
Let me in!
I have unwound the web within!
Let me in!
What good will solitude do you?
Who has your back?
It's time to introduce you to your better half!
(Cut to Audrey and toon-form Morgan outside the Archgate Films building, setting a film reel on fire. As they turn to go, the firelight reveals the shadows of Lilith and Eve, indicating they also escaped. Cut to Audrey and Morgan standing on a beach together, watching the sun rise. The video ends on a close-up of Audrey’s face, her eyes glowing the way they did inside the reel.)

What do you do? That inane, polite question was the fucking worst. Lindi smiled brightly as Zaid asked it, because he didn't know it was her kryptonite, her primary pet peeve. "I'm a stay at home mum," she said, taking a deep breath of air in. Next came the follow-up questions, 'How old are your kids?'' 'Oh, just the one kid actually, she's seventeen.' And then the unspoken but obvious judgemental look akin to, 'Why the hell are you still a stay at home mum to an almost-adult?' Followed by Lindi's self-deprecating, pleasant but a little bit pretentious counter-but-not-counter of, 'Oh but I spend my time volunteering for community groups, running committees, fundraising with charity groups, that sort of thing,' which generally garnered some polite 'Ahhs,' before the conversation swiftly moved onto something else.
"I had an interview, today. Trying to get back into the workforce," Lindi told Zaid, before they wandered down that familiar path. "Centre of London, entry-level, terrible salary, hour-long commute… It was for a paralegal position." Bottom rung of the ladder, where she'd have to compete with people half her age and hungry and desperate to prove their worth. "So, explaining my 'career break' was only the second worst part of my day, I guess," Lindi quipped, trying to keep chipper, able to appreciate the sort of dry irony of this whole situation.
A welcome reprieve from the mundanity of her situation was Zaid telling her that his ex was here, on this island. Lindi blinked, and in a single moment decided that if there were sides to be picked, she was on Zaid's. "Your ex?" she repeated, marginally excited at the use of a masculine pronoun for Zaid's ex. Oxfordshire, Goring, wasn't bereft of queer people (she was proof of that), but god did it sometimes feel like it. Goring hadn't felt the same without Steve, and she had desperately missed his steady, camp sense of humour.
"What are the chances?" Lindi asked, not wanting to pry even though Zaid was practically begging her to, with that little look to the side, where she could almost smell the intense memories flickering behind his eyes. But no, Lindi, that would be rude. She would leave the door open to him. "I'd say to buy a lottery ticket, but…" They were a fair distance from a retailer, she supposed.
Zaid was good fun to be around, even if he had (hopefully not) made her an accomplice to poisoning. He had that classic, impish glint to his eyes, the type that was easy to feed off of. "Well, Ms Asthana put his elbow back, and he fainted, and apparently I was supposed to read her mind and know that I had to hold him upright because he was going to faint," but Lindi had been blabbing her mouth, and not even touched Craig. "So I was worse than a table would have been. Do you know that she has a wretched hatred of tables? Really, all furniture with four legs," Lindi spitballed, a dry sarcasm that could either be taken as serious gossip, or comedic exaggeration. "One too many stubbed toes tipped her over the edge."
In the bliss of finding the boerewors, Lindi hadn't introduced it to Zaid. You know, Lindi, the celebrity chef you could impress with your cultural and culinary knowledge. She finished her mouthful, stomach only clenching all the harder for more food. "This is boerewors, a spicy, South African sausage. Not your average Greggs sausage roll," she said with a barely suppressed shudder. Greggs was pure dog food. To South Africans meatiness was closer to godliness. "It has to be meat-meat, not offal… I think this is beef? It has that perfect braai, charcoal barbeque smokiness," she said, trying not to fangirl at having been able to introduce a Michellin star chef to good South African food.
And he liked it! She watched him eat it, which was still kind of creepy of her, but it was so rewarding to know that she had made a good recommendation. Susie had absolutely nothing in comparison. (Reminder to take a selfie sometime with Zaid, just to rub it in Susie's face.)
Lindi believed Zaid as he denied being a part of the catering for the feast before him. He confirmed her suspicions, at the sheer amount of work this banquet entailed. Beyond culinary skill, this was planned and executed and timed to perfection.
Even if there were… what, thirty people coming down from the ship, there was far too much food for all of them. Soon the food was going to cool. Fats would congeal, flavours would dampen, textures would worsen. And then the flies would come, and bacteria would grow and seep into the food and mold would bloom and all of this bounty would fade to garbage.
Were they stupid wankers for eating the food? "My daughter would one hundred percent call me gullible for eating the obviously suspicious food," Lindi said, trying to glance off of the pain thinking about Paige caused her. "But no one's been sick. We don't know when rescue is coming, when we'll get another meal like this… And all of this food is going to go off, and that would be a waste." Lindi shrugged, adding a scoop of chickpea curry to her plate. "This is an awful lot of effort to go through to end up just poisoning us all. What do you think?"
They were complete strangers, but chatting with Lindi made everything around them muted, compressing into a temporary state of normal. As long as Zaid kept close to Lindi, things would stay normal. A terribly faulty logic; but for the moment, Zaid would delude himself, if only for the relief of a moment a respite. His stress levels were as rocky as the ocean right now, he needed the distraction.
And Lindi was a perfect distraction. Not only beautiful to look at - her laugh, her constant self-deprecating but graceful sweeps of her hand - either over the rubber bracelet, or over her pert collarbones, or even sweeping across her hair. Gestures meant to placate others, soft and so very feminine. And of course it worked on Zaid, who considered body language a complex language. A diner's body language indicated far more truth, than their verbal feedback.
"Probably best to skip Sheffield," Zaid advised, as if they were planning Lindi's next trip north. "Never recovered from the 90s, that." His father's words, not his. But useful when people tried to ask Zaid why he hadn't returned home, after two decades. "Lake District's gorgeous. I did a stint up there for a short time, at the Bengal Rose in Ulverston? Favour to a colleague." Lindi didn't need to know, but it had been a good memory, that.
And it indicated a lot to Zaid, about Lindi's social strata. He felt it was a good point to ask her, "What do you do, if you don't mind me asking?" Not 'did', not yet. They were going to be rescued, likely after this feast.
Lindi's seeming nervousness at the idea of her ex being here was partially amusing at first. Then increasingly sobering when Zaid remembered Lindi mentioning a daughter. Zaid wanted to ask - how old was her daughter? Her name? Did she live with mum or dad? - but he didn't want to go down that path. They were having such a lovely time. So Zaid played it stupid, and also gave Lindi a break. "My ex is here," he grumbled, his petulance perhaps more genuine than acted. "He found me on the ship, actually. Haven't seen the bugger around since."
He'd hope Tej was alright, but of course he was. Tej could probably survive a nuclear storm. Fucking hell. Acknowledging Tej vocally to another person...it made this all real. Tej was here. His Tej, with him, after months of estrangement.
Something inside Zaid heaved, and he masked it but giving a loud amused snort (too amused) about the childhood name. "No, I won't admit any wit! Bunch of little tossers, the lot of them. Who's laughing now though," he added with s smug wink at Lindi. To imply of course that all his schoolmates had failed. Probably. Zaid never went on Facebook.
Lindi's scandalized excitement was like catnip to Zaid. He loved feeling like he was someone wicked and playful, unpredictable in a fun way. "That's it, love. If we're gonna go in, might as well go in hard, yeah?" Zaid surreptitiously glanced around, but everyone seemed in perfect health. Even sloppy Craig. So Zaid returned his attention to Lindi, and the food. "And please explain to me how you became...what? A table? What's that mean when it's at home?"
Lindi selected some meaty things as well. A bit off a coiled sausage (was that another come-on? Zaid hoped so) and some sort of grilled bun. "You know what those are," he realized, watching her try them. His culinary passion overtaking him for a moment. "What are they? Is it good?"
Her reaction seemed to indicate a yes, so Zaid helped himself to the same. "I've never tried these before," he said reverently, thrilled at the prospect of new cuisines. A bite, and flavour exploded in his mouth, even better than the grilled pineapple. Zaid was truly floating high, only realizing just how starving he really was the more he chewed. Lindi's question pulled him out of his foodie daze.
"No, of course I didn't, bloody hell," Zaid snorted, too food-happy to be annoyed. "It'd take me days to get all this prepped, cooked, with a full staff. And who ever make this knew..." Knew what? Obviously how to cook, but also how to run a full kitchen brigade, so everything came out at the same time, all at the perfect temperature, not one thing over done or stale or melting? It made no sense. It was impossible.
Zaid's chewing slowed, and he looked frustrated. "Are we just stupid wankers for eating this?"

Hi! I saw that your Requests are open so I’m here to request headcanons on the Blueycapsules Kids (Evan,Boseman kids,Fritz) reaction towards meeting Grandparent animatronic Y/N?
Imma add Susie here too ^^
........
Evan/CC/[REDACTED] Afton
He reacts the same way at first: just crying, panicking, and trying to stay as far away from you as possible.
Ironically he has a plushie of you at home, which he brings to the diner one day (once he feels brave enough) to show you it.
If you don’t make any sudden movements when near him, he’ll slowly warm up to you, even hanging around you to avoid Michael.
He talks about a k-pop group he likes and shows you their music.
You don't think you, Fredbear, or Spring can sing in Korean.
But you just listen to him anyway, happy to see him smiling instead of crying for once.
Fritz Valentino
This young Italian has both eyes of gold and a heart of gold!
He’s just so sweet, though he talks a mile a minute so it’s hard to keep up sometimes.
Regardless, you listen to his stories anyways and ask him questions.
The knife he keeps with him makes you nervous (about his own safety rather than yours).
He admits to being afraid of Foxy--a secret he never likes telling anyone--and he worries you’re mad about it.
But you reassure him that he’s a kind and bold sailor just like him.
Someday you’ll introduce him to the fox. Only when he’s ready.
Jerry, Gabriel, & Cassidy Boseman
This mischievous trio was always pulling pranks on William.
But one day you stepped in like “hey kids let’s not do that”. Not bc you care for William but bc you didn’t want him getting angry at them.
They initially dislike you, with Jerry going up to you all snarky like “what’s a dumb ol’ bot gonna do? Stop me?”
“Yes, actually.” And you proceed to take his wrist and dangle him up in the air.
You’ve immediately won their respect.
As they visit the pizzeria more often, you find them to be pretty cool. Like with Gabe rambling about his band or Cassidy telling you some “fortune” she read.
And, of course, Jerry clings to you all the time and demands piggy back rides. You can’t refuse.
At least you kept them off William’s back.
Susie Denver
From afar you’ve seen this sweet girl forming a close friendship with Elizabeth, hanging out at the pizzeria often.
You noticed how happier the latter seemed ever since the diner incident. She used to despise you for not stopping it but now she’s been talking to you again.
One day you come up to Susie and tell her that Liz appreciates her more than she knows, and she smiles.
“Yeah! I’m sure she does. I’m really glad to be her friend.”
Whenever she brings Thumbtack to the pizzeria he’s excited to see you, which assures Susie that if he trusts you, she can too.

The Illusion of Living Notes and Spoilers
I feel like enough time has passed for everyone who wanted to get the audiobook to get it, so here are all the notes I made while reading the book.
Please do NOT show these spoilers to anyone who didn’t give their explicit permission to be spoiled! And do not try to sneaky-spoil while being vague and pretending you’re not spoiling either!
TIOL was written in 1941 and published in 1942
Joey’s biggest dream is to become a God
Joey is explicitly not straight (reaffirms his distaste for dating women multiple times in the book, purposely avoids intimate gestures when meeting female friends, and reacts negatively to a straight couple kissing in his presence) but can be interpreted as either gay or asexual, and there’s evidence supporting both of these interpretations
Joey doesn’t think of people as real. He thinks of them as fictional characters in a show (well, he isn’t wrong)
He witnessed a murder at 10, but isn’t bothered by it, because everyone’s fictional anyway (watsonian perspective: little sociopath, doylist perspective: smartest character in the franchise). It was on that day that he started thinking of people as characters in a play, including his own parents.
He likes to throw peanuts in the faces of vaudeville performers he doesn’t like. Very proud of his aim
Joey’s dad sends him a pair of boots every year as a gift. Joey throws them out and buys himself better ones
Though it’s implied that the stories he tells about his parents aren’t true
While in the army, he was bullied for liking girl stuff, like reading romance novels and genre fiction
Nathan and Joey are very close. Nathan often gives him business advice and knows some of his secrets. Nathan looks down on artistic-type people. Joey is the only artistic-type person he admires, mostly for being business-oriented. Nathan is all about money.
Nathan wears a suit, has perfectly slicked back hair, and an elegant mustache. Smokes Cigars. Calls himself Nate
Nathan says that Lottie (the girl from the preview) isn’t real. It’s implied that there are more made-up people in the book. The epilogue implies that Joey intends to bring the made-up people to life one day, just like the cartoons
After leaving the army, and before starting an animation studio, he worked at a bookstore together with Henry for a few years
He took late-night art classes together with Miss Lambert
Bendy was named after Joey’s friend, who murdered a man to take a photo of his dying face for an award show. Joey finds it inspiring. In his words: "Thank god for dark paths, they lead all great artists to their greatest creations". Joey also likes the name Bendy, because it means someone who bends the rules
Nathan says that Joey had a genuine change of heart in his old age, and had “too much guilt and worry”. Nathan is not pleased with that
Abby Lambert is one of Joey’s oldest friends, and the one who introduced him to Henry. She and Joey used to perform vaudeville acts together. Joey played a Devil and Abby played an Angel
It’s implied that Henry created the Butcher Gang, and they were some of his oldest characters, even older than Bendy, Boris, and Alice
Henry left a year after the studio’s creation because he wanted “something that isn’t Bendy” (it’s either that he felt like his creativity was being stifled by being forced to work on the same project all the time, or that he wanted a real family, as opposed to the “studio family” that Joey was satisfied with)
Joey disses Henry a lot in the book. He paints him as untalented, unimaginative, boring, and a poor dresser on top of that. Nathan thinks that pretending to not care about Henry is Joey’s “greatest illusion”
Nathan hates Henry and thinks that Joey’s going too easy on him (if BATDR is Nathan’s world, Henry’s gonna be screwed)
Sammy used to play music at a movie theatre when he was a teen and Joey came to watch his performance every day
They met again a few years later and Sammy recognized him. Joey hired him and Jack on the same day
Sammy smokes
Sammy and Jack performed jazz songs at vaudeville together for some time before working at JDS
Jack gets upset when people ignore him and only pay attention to Sammy. He loves being the center of attention, and has a knack for showmanship. Very optimistic and good natured
Sammy was hired a year after Henry’s departure and has never met him (curious, given that he recognizes Henry in the game) Not true - turns out Sammy was hired in October 1930, so he still could’ve met Henry
As part of his deal with Joey, Sammy has full creative control over his department and people he’s working with (did Sammy replace Susie?)
Sammy hates being at the center of attention and is always very serious. Making jokes comes hard for him, but he plays along sometimes. His expression is very hard to read and he always seems suspicious of people he’s talking with. He’s dressed very neatly and appropriately (unlike Jack, who wears bright and flashy clothes), his hair is long and not slicked back. He’s a few years younger than Joey, but acts much older
Joey thinks that Sammy is his best decision and the man who comes closest to fully understanding him. He takes pride in the fact that Sammy sticks by him for all these years out of his own will, and not because Joey makes him. He thinks Sammy is a genius and deserves to be worshipped like a god (he doesn’t hesitate to tell him that). Asked him once whether there’s anyone Sammy worships, and it’s painfully obvious that he wanted to hear that it’s him (Sammy replied that a god of this magnitude hasn’t been invented yet, which is a nice foreshadowing)
Allison is already working at the studio at the time of TIOL. Before that, she was a Broadway actress. Joey likes to watch her recording sessions. It’s not confirmed which character she’s voicing, but Susie wasn’t mentioned anywhere in the book, so there’s a possibility that Allison was already voicing Alice Angel in 1941
Joey’s meetings with Jack Fain and Grant are just an excuse to have a coffee and chat with them
On his first meeting with Bertrum Joey got drunk and flirty with him. Bertrum told him he’s “not that kind of date” and Joey played dumb (the scene is played for laughs though, so idk if it’s supposed to be seriosuly indicative of Joey’s sexuality)
Bertrum returned from retirement to work on Bendyland
Disney exists in this universe, Joey wishes he could be able to achieve the same with Bendy
Nathan wants to prove “very soon” that he is limitless
The moving ink was developed as part of the Sillyvision film process at some point around 1941. The purpose of Sillyvision was to make corrections to images that have already been created, without having to redraw them from scratch. The ink is activated through contact with a special paper
Joey describes Bendyland’s conception, and the Dark Land sounds eerily similar to the studio world in BATIM & BATDR
Light Land is Alice’s Domain, and as the name suggests it will have many lights. It’s designed to create an illusion of being lifted up
Tiny Land is Boris’ Domain and it gives an illusion of getting shrunk
Big Land is Butcher Gang’s Domain and has giant airplanes and battleships
Joey hates the real world and wants to escape to a make-believe one. He was hoping Bendyland would be that for him. His greatest fear is being unable to create that perfect world, and creating only its dark reflection (ironic)
Joey feels like he won’t be able to truly die and rest his soul until his dream fully comes to life. He calls art his “doorway into immortality” (is Dapper Joey?)
Joey believes a soul is needed to make a lifeless artistic imitation of the world into a real breathing world. He says that he’s been looking for a soul for a long time (he means it metaphorically, but it feels like a foreshadowing)

Okay okay okay!! So I have a LOONG batim theory/idea I just wanna talk about for a bit since I’ve finally managed to organise my thoughts - I’ve seen it being discussed briefly by a few other people, but there’s one BIG detail people have been missing out that almost definitely connects and confirms the entire thing.
Spoilers for The Illusion Of Living!
-
So I’ll start from the start, where I first began thinking something was a little odd. In TIOL, Joey talks a bit about where he first met Sammy and Jack, when they were performing at an opening night party for a musical called Girl Crazy. Joey says he met them the night before his 30th birthday, which would mean the opening night was held in 1931 (since Joey was born in 1901).
WRONG! When I first read this part of the book I was curious to see if the musical was a real one, and it is! The thing that I didn’t understand though was that the musical was actually released in 1930, not 1931 like Joey says it was. I thought surely that was an error, right? NO IT WASNT!!! LET ME EXPLAIN!!!!!!!!!
(It also means that supposedly, Joey’s canon birthday is October 15th, because opening night for Girl Crazy was October 14th! But that’s not too important, and not a big part of the theory.)
The same night Joey meets Sammy & Jack, Sammy insists Joey takes them to see the studio and show them one of JDS’s short films. When he does, Sammy tells Joey he needs more female characters since at this point it’s only really Bendy, Boris, perhaps the Butcher Gang (though it might’ve been a bit early for them still), and random male one-time side characters.
Later in the autobiography, Joey talks more about how what Sammy said inspired him to create Alice Angel, after Henry had left so he had no input on the character and we can only really credit him for the creation of Bendy & Boris, despite what Joey says.
Now here’s where it gets fun!!! Sammy and Jack being hired in 1931 means they likely never met Henry, so Sammy’s whole “you look familiar to me!” line from Chapter 2’s ritual can only really be chalked up to Sammy being the one moving the cutouts and disappearing through the walls as usual throughout Chapter 1.
BUT!!!!!! BUT BUT BUT!!!!!!!!
A common theme throughout TIOL is that Joey is both an unreliable narrator AND a huge liar, so there’s a lot of information throughout the story that can be proven false pretty easily, like Henry not being the one behind Bendy etc. Since we know for sure that Sammy and Jack were hired in 1930 and not a year later, there’s a much higher chance they did have an opportunity to meet with Henry, and while I doubt Henry attended the opening night party, being the co-founder of the studio he definitely would’ve met them if they were employed while he was still working.
No doubt that upon meeting Henry, Sammy would’ve relayed his whole “not enough women” piece to him as the lead cartoonist. Henry definitely would’ve taken that criticism, and the two probably shared ideas around since she was going to be a very musical character, singing and whatnot.
BUT...there’s still more! What about Susie, you ask? I WILL EXPLAIN!!
When I tell y’all this franchise is ALL I think about im not kidding 😭
If we listen to Susie’s BATDR reveal tape, she says her and Sammy had been talking about a new character they were working on upstairs that she was most likely going to be given the role of. It’s pretty clear she’s talking about Alice Angel, since we know Susie was working as a voice actress for all kinds of random background characters before she got lucky with the role of Alice.
But wasn’t that audio log from Susie dated 1932, though? Wasn’t the original concept for Alice created around 1930? Yes and yes, sort of. Now this part is partially just a headcanon, but I do have something pretty definite to back me up here that I’ll get to soon. I reckon Henry designed Alice pretty early on in 1930 and Joey didn’t actually put the character to use until Henry was long gone, and Joey could take the character and make her more into what he would’ve wanted (and when he would’ve had a voice actress readily available).
Now here’s what I’m using to back myself up on that! In Dreams Come To Life, Norman says this and I’ll quote from the book:
Buddy: “He [Henry] created the big three, didn’t he?”
Norman: “Bendy and Boris. Even Alice, though they didn’t start featuring her until after Henry left.”
So my idea is pretty much correct, that while Alice was designed and given a basic character concept pretty early on while Henry still worked at the studio, she wasn’t shown in comics or cartoons until after Henry had left. I also hold the firm belief that in Henry’s hidden tape in Chapter 3, where he talks about how he’s working on a new character he thinks people are going to love, I definitely think he’s talking about Alice. Otherwise, why would it be found in the chapter focused around introducing her as a villain?
-
There’s not really a big end to this theory, but I just thought it’d be worth bringing it up to tie up any loose ends and conclude that Henry is almost definitely responsible for all 3 of the original characters, including Alice.
Joey is a big liar and so so dumb but by god did I enjoy how he was written, and TIOL as a whole

Two Minds Think Alike
Vanny had just welcomed this stranger, William, into her head: a beige bunny with a shady past. As she tries to understand who they are and what their motives are, she discovers a fun little secret about her new bunny friend.
This fanfic was suggested by @trashylever on Tumblr. This is my first lee!Glitchtrap fanfic! So trashylever, and everyone else, I hope you enjoy!
Vanny was still trying to get used to there being more people in her head than just...herself. He kinda just introduced himself, said ‘I need a home’ and embedded himself into Vanny’s brain without a proper introduction. She didn’t even know who he was. And yet here he is: living in her head. If she’s gonna learn to live with him, she’s gonna have to get to know him.
Vanny closed her eyes and pushed herself deeper into her head. There, she saw the bunny being that had joined her head. Vanny decided to start off like all exchanges do: with names.
“So...Do you...have a name besides Glitchtrap?” Vanny asked. “Or something less mysterious than…’Malhare’?” Vanny asked, using quotations.
The being turned to her with a tired, bored face. “...Afton.” He replied.
Afton? Wait...Why did that name sound strangely familiar?
“Is that...a first name? Or a last name?” Vanny asked.
The bunny groaned and got up. “William. William Afton. Happy?” they spat at her.
Vanny raised her eyebrows. This person’s got quite the attitude. They sound pissed...over a need for a name. “Yes, thank you.” Vanny shot back.
The being looked at her before looking away.
“Are...Are you gonna ask me for a name? Or am I supposed to just give you a name?” Vanny asked.
The guy...William...looked at her from the corner of their eye and looked back down again. “You’re a teenage girl. That’s all I need to know.” the person said.
Vanny sighed and sat down on the ground. “Great...I’m expected to live with THIS-” She pointed to the bunny in front of her, “-For the rest of my life.” Vanny muttered out loud.
The bunny sighed. “Life isn’t fair, sunshine.” They muttered.
Vanny widened her eyes and turned to the bunny with a frown. “Excuse me?!” she walked right up to the bunny and pushed them down with her foot. “Just who do you think you are?!”
The bunny looked up at her with a frown. Then, they scoffed. “Try looking up my name. That’ll give you a pretty good idea.” they spat with a dangerous look in their eyes. Vanny growled and left her mind.
Vanny opened her eyes and hopped onto her phone. She typed the name ‘William Afftin’ into the search bar.
[A-f-t-o-n. AfTON.] the bunny corrected.
Vanny sighed and fixed the name. ‘William Afton’. She clicked the search button and watched as tons of links showed up right away. Tons of links about ‘child killer’, ‘The Man Behind The Slaughter’ and ‘Fazbear Entertainment’ came up. Vanny’s expression turned from annoyed to surprised in a single second. Child killer? Child killer?
She clicked one of the links. This brought up pictures of happy kids, and blurred images of their corpses beside the happy images. They were mostly aged 5 to age 10! Names of previously missing children filled her brain as she read them: Charlie...Cassidy...Fritz...Gabriel...Jeremy… And Susie.
[They were interesting kids. Somewhat ignored by the adults there. No one even noticed they went missing until they got home. Stupid people…] The bunny told her.
Vanny widened her eyes. Holy...How did he-
Vanny scrolled down and looked at the other pictures that came up. There were photos taken of...suits?
[Animatronics. Big robots with endoskeletons and programming designed for anything you want. In this instance, they were disguised as animals and made for kids entertainment. We were the talk of the town at the time! Freddy Fazbear and the Band. Kids loved it.] The bunny explained.
Freddy Fazbear- WAIT A SECOND! “That VR Video Game was based on real life?!” Vanny reacted.
[Yup. That game itself was Fazbear Entertainment’s way of saving their tarnished reputation of child-killing machines. Every entertainment spot the Fazbear company opened, ended up with at least one child or person killed from robot malfunctions.] The bunny explained.
Vanny frowned as she looked at the missing kids. “It wasn’t just robot malfunctions...It was murders too.” Vanny mentioned. “You were the cause of those murders! You killed up to 5 children!” Vanny reacted.
[Yup. Indeed I did.] The bunny replied.
Vanny huffed as she put her phone down and went into her head again. “Why?” She asked. “Did you know them personally? Why would you specifically choose to kill them?” She asked.
“Does it matter?” The bunny asked as they stood up. “I just did.” they replied.
Vanny looked at the bunny. “You’re not a bunny. I wanna see what you really look like.” Vanny told them.
William sighed and closed their eyes. “There’s plenty of images on the World Wide Web to give you a good picture.” they told her.
“I don’t want to use the internet. I wanna see you. The real you.” She told them. “That is, if your former self was programmed into your code.” Vanny mentioned.
William rolled his eyes. “I have no former self anymore. This is it. I’m a glitch shown as a bunny.” William explained.
“You know technology has advanced enough to change your appearance, right?” Vanny mentioned.
William gave her a dirty look. “Well maybe,” William walked closer to Vanny. “Someone didn’t put that into account when programming me into the fucking game!” William spat at her. Then, he leaned his head back a bit. “I’m afraid this is as close as you’re gonna get.” William turned around and walked away.
Vanny let out heavy breaths as she processed the words hidden under his overwhelmingly rude attitude. Despite not actually being responsible for how William’s brain and personality was handled, Vanny still felt hurt by his words. This man, who was once a physical being, is now stuck inside a girl’s head. Even worse: a teenage girl’s head.
Vanny closed her eyes and frowned as she looked at him. “Why…”
William hummed and tilted his head as he looked at pictures hidden in her head.
“Why choose me...of all people?” Vanessa asked.
William smiled a little at that question. He turned around and looked at her with purple, glowing eyes. “Because your curiosities can lead you down a really dark path if you let it.” William told her. “...And maybe I can help you with that.” William offered.
Vanny widened her eyes and stared at the bunny in both horror and awe.
William chuckled at her reaction. “The internet has offered you endless chances to satisfy your curiosities and yet…” William looked at their own hand. “You stop yourself.”
Vanny bit her lip and lifted her head up. “W-Well...that kind of job takes a lot of work to clean and cover up.” Vanny admitted. “And I don’t want the police finding out about my internet searches. They could see me as a suspect.” She added.
William chuckled at the last part. “There are always incognito modes.” William reminded her. “And as a guy who’s been there and done that, I will help you through all the steps. But only if you agree…” William offered.
Vanny’s awe-struck face shrunk down as she backed away. No...No she shouldn’t! She’s worked this hard trying to make a life for herself! She can’t ruin that now!
William hummed and waved their index finger. “Mmm...there’s that doubt. There’s the part of you that’s trying to return back to normal life.” William pointed out. “But that normalcy will not satisfy that instinct inside you. I’ve tried. Eventually, it found a crack and broke right through it. You’ll be better off starting early than spending your life trying to hide it. After all: Therapy always teaches you to let it out rather than shove it inside you.” William explained.
Vanny considered correcting him, but realised that he was still staying true to the facts. So, she let him talk more.
William walked closer to Vanny and gave her a charming, yet sadistic kind of smile. “You and I have something special in common: you and I both wanted to know things only the dark part of the web could provide you.” William said. “I’ve already answered all my curiosities. But you...You’re waiting to get your full answers. The world tells you to stay true to the law...yet your instincts tell you otherwise...” William explained. He started taking steps back.
“Besides: you gotta remember that everyone only has one life. It’s why I’ve been prolonging my life for as long as I have!” William explained. He spun himself around, sprinted up to Vanny and grabbed her shoulders. “Look at me! I’m in my triple digits now! I should be long dead! But I’m not! I’ve cheated death!” William declared with genuine excitement. “And now I have a chance to restart my killing spree...with a new body, and a loyal partner...something I lacked the first time.” William said eagerly.
Vanny smiled at the thought.
“So:” William held out his hand. “Will you be my new partner in crime?” William asked.
Vanny’s smile grew. It was a hard offer to resist. She’s been wanting to do this for so long. And now, she actually has the chance! Finally, after some thought, Vanny nodded and shook his hand. “I’d love to.” Vanny replied.
The two of them spent some time determining their action plans. With just a few google searches, William and Vanny were able to find a new Fazbear Mall that was opening up. And as luck would have it, they were hiring! So, Vanny pulled up her resume. With William’s previous business experience, he helped her sort out her slightly jumbled resume and cover letter. Before they knew it, the resume and the cover letter was sent to the business email. Now, all they had to do was wait.
While they waited, Vanny snuck back into her brain and looked at the bunny with curious eyes. “So...William Afton.” Vanny walked up and poked his shoulder. “What’s your little secret?” She asked.
William looked at her with confusion. “What do you mean ‘secret’?” William clarified.
“My deep secret is that I like really dark things. And I know you do too. But do you have another little secret you’d like to share?” Vanny asked.
William raised their eyebrows and smiled a little. “Like I’d ever share any secrets with you…”
Vanny frowned a bit. “Well, it’s only fair.” She told them. “Plus: we’re living with each other. I gotta know at least a few things about you.” She continued. “And specifically you...not just your history.”
William raised an eyebrow. The bunny had to admit she was stubborn. “Well...Okay.” William took a moment to think. “I was a father of three kids...all who I’ve outlived because… circumstances…” William admitted with a chuckle.
Vanny looked down with wide eyes. “Yyyyup...may or may not have found that within your history search.” Vanny admitted awkwardly.
William let out a laugh. “Wow! Okay.”
Vanny walked up to him. “Did you ever get tattoos when you were younger?” Vanny asked, grabbing his arm and looking at it.
William widened his eyes. “Uuuuuuhhh-” William pulled his arm out of her grip. “No. Even if I did, you’re not gonna see it on me now.” William mentioned.
Vanny looked down at the middle of his bunny tummy and gasped. “Look!” Vanny poked a visible light green little circle. “You have a bunny belly button!” she cooed.
William yelped and doubled over, wrapping both his arms around his belly. “HEY! No touching.” William warned.
Vanny raised an eyebrow and crossed her arms. “Why? You ticklish?” Vanny asked. “Is de bunny wabbit ticklish?” Vanny teased as she tried to poke his belly.
“No!” William yelled back, slapping her hands away. “And stop that! I am a grown man!” William yelled at her.
“Hmmm…” Vanny leaned over and stared at the bunny’s side while poking it a couple times. “Maybe a grown bunny…” She gave the belly a squeeze. William shrieked and slapped her arm away. “But a grown man?! There’s NO way!” Vanny teased, sticking her tongue out.
William growled. “Bite me!” he shouted with visible teeth.
Vanny stared at him with starry eyes. Even though William was trying to scare her into stopping, his bunny image didn’t help him at all. If anything, it just made things worse! Vanny giggled and snorted at his attempts to frighten her. Lastly: Vanny brought her index finger up to William’s nose and…
*Beep!*
William squeaked and held his nose in surprise and...almost fear. He made his eyes go cross-eyed as he tried to look at his nose, which only added to the cuteness. The moment Vanny let out an excited squeal however, William shot her a glare out of the corner of his eye.
“Don’t even THINK about pulling those stupid, childish-” William yelped as his backside was poked.
“OMG! Your back is ticklish too?!” Vanny reacted. William tried to turn around, but was caught by one of Vanny’s arms around his shoulders. With her free hand, Vanny started crawling her fingers slowly up his back. William’s eyes widened almost immediately as his lips formed a wobbly and crooked smile.
“Oooooh! I see it’s not just your spine…” Vanny started scratching the back ribs. “The sides of your back are ticklish too!” Vanny reacted.
William let out a muffled yelp and shook his head. “SSSTAHAP-!” He yelled at her.
“OH! I’m close! I’m cracking your wall down!” Vanny teased excitedly.
Then, Vanny moved one hand up to the rabbit ears. “I wonder…” She started tickling the inner ear just as a small test. The moment William moved his rabbit ear away and wheezed, Vanny IMMEDIATELY covered his ears with tickles! It was so hard to resist not going for it, when the perfect opportunity had come up!
Now Vanny was tickling his ears menacingly and listening to every laugh, squeak, titter and giggle that left his mouth. It had actually surprised William just how well the programming managed to replicate his laughter as well! Things have REALLY changed since he was younger.
“VAHAHANNYHYHY! THAHAHAT’S EHEHENOHOHOUGH!” William tried to tell her.
“Hell no it’s not! We have tons of time! I still have a response to wait for from the Fazbear company that YOU used to work for. So now I’m just quickly waiting! And while I wait…” Vanny started tickling the base of William’s bunny ears. “-I can see just how ticklish you really are!” Vanny declared.
“NOHOHOHO! UHUHUN- AAHAHAHA-! UHUHUNFAHAHAIR!” William yelled at her.
“Oh I KNOW it’s unfair. But wanna know something else that’s unfair?” Vanny asked rhetorically. “Refusing to tell me a secret of yours after you found out about mine!” Vanny replied to her own question. “Now THAT’S unfair! And just downright rude!” Vanny added.
William shook his head, flapping his ears around as she attacked the vulnerable base of his ears. “NAHAHAHAHEHEHEHEHEHE! COHOME OHOHOHON VAHAHAHAHANNY!”
Vanny smirked. “Whaddaya mean ‘come on’? Are you challenging me?” Vanny asked.
William shrieked and turned himself around to get away. Sadly, this just didn’t work. Vanny quickly wrapped her sneaky arm around William’s back and waist, and used her arm to dip him backwards like they had just flashbacked to the 20’s.
William yelped and giggled quite bashfully at this sudden turn of events, but was immediately thrown back into his frustrated frenzy the moment Vanny tickled all over his belly. “NoHO! VANNY! IHIHIHI’LL KIHIHILL YOHOHOHOU!” William threatened as he fell into another hysterical laughing fit.
“Ooooooh! I see…” Vanny said to herself while she poked and prodded at the green circle that highlighted the bunny’s belly button. “You don’t really have a belly button! Just a little green circle that sticks it out from your tummy.” Vanny explained to herself.
“YEHEHES! YOHOHOU HAHAVE YOHOHOUR AHANSWEHER! NOHOW LEHEHET MEHE GOHOHOHO!” William ordered.
Vanny rolled her eyes with a smile and continued to tickle his belly. “Ever heard of manners? Even dogs develop better manners than you!” Vanny teased.
William growled through his laughter and started to push her away. Vanny sighed and stopped tickling his belly. William went limp in her arms as bits of sweat started to fall down the bunny’s face. Was...was that just an overexaggerated emotion?! Or was William actually able to ‘sweat’? “Ohokahay. Can...can you put me down?...pleeeease?” William asked. His attempts to be polite sounded very childish. But, it somewhat worked.
Vanny smiled and laid William back down. “I-Thank you. Though, you didn’t need to lay me- HAHAHA! HEHEHEHEY- YOUSONOFA- EEEEEHEHEHEHEK!” William accidentally interrupted himself. It turns out that Vanny couldn’t resist sneaking a tickle or two onto his ears again.
“No more statements, Giggly Willy. Just a thank you will work well.” Vanny told him as she stopped fully this time.
William grabbed onto his ears and curled up into a little ball on the floor of Vanny’s mind. It was...Quite hilarious to see a tough, put together man doing such a childish move.
“I...Am content with wo-working with you, but…*huff*...C-Could we keep the tickle attacks to a minimum?” William asked.
Vanny hummed as she thought. She finally sighed. “Fine. Once a month.” she told him. “I’ll tickle you once a month.”
William looked up at her and uncurled himself. “Wanna move that to twice a month?” William asked.
Vanny blinked in surprise. “Bi-weekly?! I thought you wanted to keep the tickling to a minimum.” Vanny reacted.
“For-forget that. I don’t mind them.” William admitted casually.
Vanny did everything in her power to not throw her hands in the air and shower him with tickles. But she knew one thing for sure:
Vanny is never letting William live this down!

so about ralsei.....
read under the cut because i'm not sure how long this will be
since ch 2 was released (but i noticed these theories were also made before ch 2 had been released, it's just i'm not too much in the fandom to exactly know what people think about it) i've seen a lot of "ralsei is sus", "ralsei is the bad guy" theories?? like i've never seen so many theories about one character in a row, but i'm not against it!
while i don't agree the fact ralsei might be the final boss, or the big bad, i do believe he's sus. like a lot, i can see he is actually hiding something from us (not only us as players but also counting kris and susie since they only recently knew about the roaring and ralsei is explaining things reeeeally slowly) but i don't think he's bad. my main thoughts about him are that he can feel/sense kris's soul (so, us as the players), he probably knows how kris feels about this and being controlled (the reassuring hug made me tear up a little), and i think he's the horned headband kris wore as a kid, otherwise he wouldn't know noelle or berdly's names without even introducing to them properly, and he might be the potrayal of kris's loneliness (his name being an anagram of asriel could be connected to the fact kris misses their brother a lot?).
returning on "ralsei is sus", yes i can see he's hiding something from us, but i don't think he's bad. i have two thoughts about his secrecy: one, that is the most basic, could be because we have to go ahead in the game to actually get more explanations from him (we're still at the beginning, after all); two, he wants kris and susie to be safe until the end, so prefers not to tell them too many details otherwise susie would try to act impulsively (and possibly involve kris, and for an extent, us, to what she wants to do) and risk a lot.
as we see him act in the gameplay, ralsei is kind of a black mage (at least, in my opinion, because he mostly casts spells, both healing and offensive), we know what often happens to black mages in games... right? maybe it's more like an unconditional fear than a theory (or both?) but i think, at some point in the game (maybe near the end?) we will actually see a calamity happen and ralsei will have to resolve it by sacrificing himself to save kris and susie (and other teammates as well if we'll have them). i already exposed this one theory on my own au, but it only happens temporarily and in the cyber world, but i thought of all the possibilities?? and... just. what if he really dies for kris and susie to live and continue saving the world, because they're the only ones who can do something. this post turned out longer than i was expecting but!! you can tell me your thoughts if you'd wish, i'd like to read them

More Deltarune Chapter 2 rambles
Spoilers under the cut
So.
I have been thinking more about the whole
“How does the Dark World WORK” and “What are we ACTUALLY Doing?”
So we
1) Go around to the dark fountains.
2) Spare/Recruit the people there.
3) Close the Fountains.
4) Get the stuff that made those people and get them to the main Dark Kingdom.
Just... Ralsei introduced himself as a Prince without Subjects. He IS something special in the Dark World, maybe the only one who DOESN’T have a Real-World-Counterpart (or his Real-World Counterpart is actually Asriel). But lets assume Ralsei is his own person... so as the Prince of the Dark World, he might be immune to the Turning-Stone-Thing (also he said “he hurried over” when we met him in the Cyper Space World. Hurried over how?) and has special abilities. Also he got some very in-dept knowledge of the Dark World and how it works.
So...
what if Ralsei was always the only one in the Dark World and only know where the Knight started opening up the Fountains, he gains Friends/Subjects (remember: He never got a hug. HE NEVER GOT A HUG!!!!).
I don’t think however that Ralsei is the big bad in the End. He seems horrified of more fountains opening up or remaining open. He IS happy to see Kris and Susie and go with them on adventures.... (Or he just wants a bigger Kingdom? More friends?)
But well..
My money is on the Dark World being some kind of mirror to the real world or something that exists in the VOID. We DID got hints in Chapter 1 that Gaster might be around. Maybe not the Gaster we heard in the Intro (lets call him Prime Gaster) but the Gaster of Undertale (Let’s Call him Gaster U). Maybe Prime Gaster conducted experiments with trans-Dimensional travel. This is why we made the vessel? But something went wrong and now we are in this mess.
I think in the Bunker is either the Gaster of Deltarune or it’s the Undertale Gaster or Parts of him at least. (I still wonder about the sound of the Memory-heads that plays when you use the phone in the Dark World. It could hint to the connection to the Void)
I do have the Theory that Chara is in fact controlling Kris when our Soul is out to open the Fountains. Maybe to connect the Deltarune Timeline with the Void, maybe to create a perfect world where they can live with their family and have Asriel alive. Maybe GASTER is actually the one doing all this: Getting people to the Void or closer to it, maybe to put himself back together?
The Theme of Undertale was that you always got a choice. The theme of Deltarune is supposed to be that you DON’T have a choice. I just keep wondering with the theme of one world influencing another.
