I have not searched any of these so the only logical conclusion is that the top search for ninjago Cole is “ninjago cole gay” and I find that hilarious but also very in character for this fandom.

theres something really funny to me about archie knuckles' parents canonically being divorced. i think its just the concept of divorce existing in the sonic universe in general thats funny to me
#probably because we dont really see many canon couples in sonic (well. we do in archie sonic but i mean Outside of archie.#are there even any official canon couples in sonic right now aside from those gay birds from idw sonic that show up sometimes.#well i guess theres tom and maddie in the movies but i feel like thats different because theyre from Our World not the sonic world#WHATEVER getting off topic)#and also most sonic characters are usually portrayed as not having parents outside of archie#especially knuckles . its pretty plot relevant that he doesnt have parents in most continuities#so the idea of a divorce happening between sonic characters is just really funny to me

realizing that, as someone who is aro/ace, i dont feel overjoyed when seeing confirmed aro/ace characters in media because of the inherit loneliness one may feel from this identity and not wanting characters I adore to have to feel such a way.
love representation, very hard to face them when its a deep part of your own insecurity and it scares you.

more and more it makes me kind of uncomfortable (for lack of a better/softer word) to call my own characters ‘ocs’. because like. they’re from a completely original universe and from completely original intertwined stories and all that. so why would i have to specify they’re original in the same way someone would when referring to a character they made for a pre-existing non-original universe/franchise/whatever? by that logic every fiction author ever would be referring to their characters as ocs rather than just. their characters. you know.
#i guess you could say it’s different or something because I haven’t published any one Solid Official Work yet or anything but.#I don’t think that particularly matters? cause then you just get into policing what does and doesn’t count as Real and Official and that#inevitably doesn’t do anything good#idk man I know the term Original Character isn’t technically incorrect in my case but. #by boilerplate response I mean like 'yes there was no influence of the fan translation' and maybe 'we didn't even read it'#I doubt they'd admit they're aware of it and tried to avoid it#then again that could backfire lol if they're legit not aware of the fan translation#second best option would be to reach out to a lawyer who specializes in this sort of stuff#and see what they would say#but I'm not a big enough blog that I can just say 'hey do I have any corporate lawyers/PR people who can speak to the legality of adopting#the fan translation names as official canon?'

i have to wonder. if we were in an alternate timeline where tangle and whisper were originally conceptualized as girlfriends from the start and had already met offscreen before the events of the comic even began. would they have been allowed to be a for real canon couple instead of just having hints here and there . much to think about
