Lil Poop left us earlier than expected and my house is unnervingly calm this morning. I miss the kitten chaos all ready. The OBX SPCA is having a big adoption event so they told us they could take 14 kittens/cats. So off he went last night. Sad face. Someone will scoop him right up (he’s so social) and he’ll have an excellent life.

Somehow, it pains me to cut people off. Like the feeling of contemplating because they've been a part of me. Tolerating because they played the important roles in my life. But then came disrespect and betrayal.

It's too easy to find a reason to leave them behind and go forth on our own. But no one talks about how hard it is to decide whether you'd do it or not. You trust them like they're your family. You knew you gave out your best to please them. You made efforts to keep them. Only to clamp your heart with the brokenness.

I feel hurt that I need to cut off the significant persons in my life just to save myself. I guess, not everything is worth fixing.

People really just come and go.

Severn never actually read Dracula (Mae skimmed it for school, Diamondback read it before she was turned) but he DID see the movies, and (to his credit) patiently (for him) listened to newly-turned Mae's endless questions about what myths were true and which weren't. He knows enough lore and pop culture to not only gaslight Caleb about the "needs invited inside" bit, but also convinces him he can't go near garlic, crucifixes, or cross running water.

The first two are easy enough to avoid, but they go to drive over a bridge one night and Caleb asks how they're going to get over it. Is there like. A tunnel? Do they drive around it? Or go back?

Severen starts to laugh under his breath when jesse and diamond turn around to look at the kid like *what* the *fuck* did you just say. Caleb realizes what happened and now he and severen are screaming.

Camera changes to a shot of the road, the van driving off and Severen and Caleb walking over the bridge.

Drawing, translating my FFCC story, working on something special related to ecology, reading books and also fictions online, starting to learn new stuff in hopes of being hired for good eventually, playing Sonic Frontiers, playing with friends online, sewing a few winter clothes, all while working and having to take care of all the daily adult stuff

Those are all things I'd like to do (minus the chores) but because it's impossible to have it all, choices must be made. As always ;A;
