been thinking about something wicked a little too much lately. no harm in romanticizing the ominous dreadful unstoppable force

#ultrakill #v1 #v1cked #<- unsure if ive ever officially decided that was the tag id be using but i dont recall anyone else having an idea for it #v1 and something wicked... ouhehehe #in a game like this... with conflict and violence and unceasing demand for a spectacle it is a step back to have v1 find themselves in a-#dark and quiet labyrinth belonging to a force that scares even them #idk. i think about it. its so unlike everything v1 has gone through thus far (though albeit not much as 0-S is in prelude. but i assume-#-there was some killing before they decided to drop down)#maybe it reminds them of their home? where they were built? light humming of wicked passing feels like the buzzing of bright artificial-#-lights that were routinely shined down on them for maintenance #a strange but welcome connection...#and something wicked is very lonely. i dont think it has much of an issue with this seeing as it knows its maze so so well.. im sure it-#-cares for it extensively. but a machine? coming here? i wonder if something wicked has the ability to interact with the terminals at all #terminals do really only talk to machines #but this one seems quite lonely. i dont think itd mind if something wicked happened to take a look #ok im done #gen art

now that im writing this it's occuring that i don't think this was ever actually mentioned or implied in game but the idea of the service weapon following the director around has been in my head rent free for a few days

I know you'll say you're happy I'm here, and for what it's worth, I think we both really want to believe it. But the truth is, I just happened to be in the path of your whirlwind, picked up by chance just as swiftly and as suddenly as you'll leave me behind again.

That's... just how it has to be... isn't it?

All of you shine so brightly, a galaxy of stars that blaze with life and laughter and love; what can I - the merest, most insignificant speck of dust by comparison - do except be drawn in by your collective gravity, as surely as the moon must dance around the earth? With no light to call my own, I am compelled to reflect your glory and your grandeur back at you, to make you feel like you are special, and that you matter.

And perhaps sometimes, when you're so caught up in each other's brilliance that you talk over my head, and your gaze slides straight off of me like I'm just part of the scenery, maybe there's something there that could be described as hurt... but it's as nothing compared to the compersion I make myself feel at the companionship and camaraderie you share. Indeed, it's hard not to be happy for you all in those moments...

...and yet, when you've all had your fun and gone back home, it's also hard not to feel like just another prop in your lavish lives. Something to pass around and admire for a while, before dropping on the floor to collect dust until the next time. And I have to wonder - would any of you even miss me if I weren't there? Would anyone notice, would anyone care?

There's no need to answer, is there? Because however you might feel now, you and I both know that one day, there's not going to be a next time. That's... just how it has to be.

Headcanon: when the older Clarke kids were young, the Lambert house wasn't a historical preservation, it was just that really old dilapidated house nearby that the kids used to play in (because irresponsible midcentury parents gonna be irresponsible midcentury parents. James probably gave the walls a few kicks and declared it safe). They used to catch fireflies in the yard.

6.5hr in the car was rough. But I'm all bundled in my beddie bye and I have the box fan going (so glad I thought to bring it) and the view outside the cabin is beautiful and I'm going ziplining tomorrow morning

It is time to sleep bundled like a rat in its bedding and then have a wonderful day tomorrow

#speculation nation #the rat comparison is quite apt because i bunched the blanket all up and set the pillows around me #bc it's a king size bed and i usually sleep on a twin and i felt like a small prey animal out on a slab #easy pickings for the great predators.#theres also a mirror facing the bed and it's kind of stressing me out (bc im scared of mirrors in the dark)#but im being SoBrave and sleeping in the total dark so i dont have to see it (and thus it doesnt exist)#(i dont use a nightlight at home but i do have a digital clock that's pretty bright so it's effectively a nightlight #& ive realized total darkness is a bit unsettling when im used to Some illumination. mostly bc i cant fuckin SEE)#so me with my normal twin size mattess pressed against the wall + elevated into the air (bc top bunk of bunk bed)#PLUS side railings. i really do sleep in a fuckin rectangle huh.#but here i am on a square with a big room all around me and no wall pressed to either side of the bed.#see im a little prey animal on a slab. but it's ok i made a burrow into the slab. so i am safe actually.#it's actually pretty damn comfortable. tho i really should sleep so im not too tired in the morning.#in general if im absent over this next week just assume im doing mountain things. 👍

Felicia Aguilar's Room

#couple of environment shots while I look for Demetria's VA claim #Let's see how the Haven is when the ladies are out for the night #wanted a contrast between both rooms; Mina's is warm‚ homey‚ and has clear separation from her sleeping area & desk #she's filled her room with plants from the greenhouse and is using them to build terrariums #she has ignored college work on her desk #her bed is messy but clearly lived in and enjoyed‚ with random shit packed away underneath(probably as an old DS stored in there).#Her walls are painted and decorated with photos‚ but it looks like she's updating it regularly‚ so everything is held up by tape.#you can tell the room had a lot of effort put in to create an environment that felt safe for Mina #And on the opposite side of the coin‚ you have Felicia's room. Dark and moody with an unfinished industrial edge.#There's no separation from the busyness of the room; everything has to be near her head‚ nothing out of sight‚ It's safer that way.#Her bed looks hardly lived in‚ saved for a stray blanket; like the bed she acquired for herself isn't really for her subconsciously.#And can't bear the thought of ruining it with her body‚ thus sleeps around the decorative pillows #there's a lack of personal novelties besides various CDs n' records that pair with the sound system in the room #vices from life that she can no longer indulge litter the walls‚ cigarettes pile up on the nightstand;#And there's artbooks that younger her could've only dreamed of owning #on the right nightstand‚ there's two terrariums from Mina. The only other life in the room besides the fishtank;#i'm rambling #vtm ocs #I honestly find the idea of Mina finding the loft Felicia bought without much thought scary as a kid‚ and Felicia doing everything possible #to circumvent that feeling‚ quite funny #Felicia: I've lived in various slum houses and pack dens for ages‚ I can deal with industrial grit #Mina: I'm scared #*Felicia immediately finds herself in a Home Depot looking at paint swatches for an 8-year-old*#It's also funnier when you realize Mina's aesthetics go against Felicia's and makes the Toreador's Bane act up.#I'm rambling even more now

i am not immune to marketing gimmicks (<- just bought limited edition cocoa flavor online)

#sasha speaks #they're having a big sale rn to clear out their overstock and leftover limited edition flavors from the past year #nearly everything is sold out already especially most of their flavored blends #but they had a medium roast from an origin i haven't tried before #and the unflavored single origin medium roasts are my favorite! so i ordered a bag for 35% off #plus a bag of my usual favorite...in fairness i also meant to bring some back home with me from my apartment and forgot completely #the other day when i was packing #so having a couple bags of cocoa arriving at home for me in a few days will be a nice treat #it's just roasted and ground cacao beans but you brew it just like coffee #the end product really is a lot like black coffee (bitter and strong lol) but it's quite lovely with a bit of sweetener #i used to take it with some cream but actually now my favorite preparation #is cocoa grounds + big pinch of salt + a few green cardamom pods + just enough maple syrup to make it *barely* sweet #makes a wonderful hot beverage. it's so cozy...#anyway looking forward to that. i hope the new flavor is good. the last limited edition medium roast i tried was fine #but i didn't like it more than their regular ones #unfortunately most of their varieties these days are either dark/french/ultradark (spanish) roasts or they're flavored light roasts #and i don't much go for those. i mean occasionally a flavored light roast #but i find them disappointing more often than not. light roast isn't chocolatey enough for me and the flavors are usually weak or stale #(the strawberry one is good but it's a summer limited ed and it was out of stock already by the time i saw the overstock sale)#and the dark roasts are just too dark for me. i want to taste the cacao bean and origin not just the roast #so the medium roasts are the sweet spot for me. roasted enough to taste really chocolatey and strong #but not so much that they're overwhelming and lose their character #actually weirdly i've noticed recently that on some of their limited ed and flavored blends they aren't listing the roast level.#it's very strange #for the flavoreds i just assume light roast but it's weird when they don't tell you on the package or the online shop page

durge yves is so very jaded about everything because nothing compares to the euphoria bhaal grants from killing that she latches onto anything that piques her interest. to the point that performing surgeries and experiments on her own self gets so boring that she stopped for a time. she also has very little regard over her own body, not caring what happens to it because it's merely a vessel for bhaal and he can make and remake it as he wishes. i think the moment orin betrays yves that's one of the few times she feels excitement and joy, and when she was experimented on by kressa then shoved in that pod she was ecstatic about it. it's different. it's a change. she enjoyed it so very much that the moment she awoke in the nautiloid she can't help but smile. she doesn't know why, hardly can remember anything about herself, but for some reason she feels a certain excitement; an anticipation of a hunt.

#like all her senses was drowned out by that certain euphoria else wise if she regains a semblance of her past sane mind #she'll go running back to kelemvor lol. which is what she does in act 1 except in act 2 she feels that familiar euphoria again #and it feels like home to her.. and it's something so warm and inviting that she feels herself slipping into it.....#to me yves' durges/dark urges is this kind of siren song state that lulls her in #makes her feel so warm and good and homey and cozy and all things nice #she blanks out when she's drowning in it and every drop of blood feels so good against her skin #and she doesn't register that she's killing someone. it's like an out of body state of euphoria for her #and durge yves would've indulged on that feeling over and over and over and over that nothing else compares anymore #everything is so boring..! nothing is worth doing..!! except killing for bhaal.#and she finds gortash mildly interesting bc his mind is so diabolical. does not care about ketheric at the slightest til she learns about #his immortal state now she's fantasizing about killing him then stitching him up and killing him over and over #she finds orin entertaining bc she reminds her of a roach somewhat. someone so resilient despite being beaten down quite literally #like durge yves was very much orin's abuser to me. she's her fave squeaky toy that she throws and beats and plays with over and over #and every time she breaks orin she'll heal her back up to break her again <3 so the betrayal and lobotomy was very much deserved #anyway thought was brought to u by me doodling yves in that pod knocking her head against it and laughing and cackling #she'd enjoy that sm i fear...#shut up about bg3.#bg3 spoilers
