been thinking about something wicked a little too much lately. no harm in romanticizing the ominous dreadful unstoppable force

#ultrakill #v1 #v1cked #<- unsure if ive ever officially decided that was the tag id be using but i dont recall anyone else having an idea for it #v1 and something wicked... ouhehehe #in a game like this... with conflict and violence and unceasing demand for a spectacle it is a step back to have v1 find themselves in a-#dark and quiet labyrinth belonging to a force that scares even them #idk. i think about it. its so unlike everything v1 has gone through thus far (though albeit not much as 0-S is in prelude. but i assume-#-there was some killing before they decided to drop down)#maybe it reminds them of their home? where they were built? light humming of wicked passing feels like the buzzing of bright artificial-#-lights that were routinely shined down on them for maintenance #a strange but welcome connection...#and something wicked is very lonely. i dont think it has much of an issue with this seeing as it knows its maze so so well.. im sure it-#-cares for it extensively. but a machine? coming here? i wonder if something wicked has the ability to interact with the terminals at all #terminals do really only talk to machines #but this one seems quite lonely. i dont think itd mind if something wicked happened to take a look #ok im done #gen art

now that im writing this it's occuring that i don't think this was ever actually mentioned or implied in game but the idea of the service weapon following the director around has been in my head rent free for a few days

#not quite literally following just kind of subtle-like. like shut it in a desk drawer lock your office for the evening and by the time youre #out of the building it's back in your pocket #get startled awake in the middle of the night and sit up sharply to find it already in your hand #even though the last place you left it was across the room #obviously you cant give it to someone else to hold so that just makes it easier #the shapeshifting would help too. maybe it's just a pocket knife for a little while maybe a butcher knife at home #hmm.. multitool service weapon...#be a real pain in airport security but the director probably has private transport either way #ANYONE ELSE THINKING ABOUT THIS. House of the rising sun? beautiful amazing incredible timeless masterpiece? yeah?#all i want is to put on a cute 70s dress with the bell sleeves and some gogo boots and get my hair all pretty with the flip curls #and go to one of those really cool and dark and lowkey shady bars you see on the movies. with a pool table and a jukebox #hard-looking bartender with an impressive mustache named Mitch or Hank #and go up to the bar and he'd be like “whatya having doll?” “oh. anything sweet please”#and he hands me some soda-gin or whatever with a lemon slice. and the guy next to me notices my drink and is like #“hey Mitch. give the lady something nicer eh? maker a double from the back shelf. extra ice”#“i'm fine with this actually. i don't drink whiskey” “tonight you do sweetheart”#and he's wearing some really nice jeans and boots and a dark shirt and a leather jacket. dark hair but has some freckles. charming smile.#“what is a pretty thing like you doing in a place like this? i think them church youths go bowling next door”#“i am not lost. can't a girl enjoy some music” “does the boyfriend know?” “i answer to no one”#and he takes a long drag of his cigarette and chuckles. Mitch brings my new drink as gives him a look before drafting some beer #“so. the pretty lady likes a little danger eh?” “the lady has a name” .#i take a sip of the whiskey and try real hard not to cough. he thinks it's funny. i think he's a little cute #“does she now? and does the lady dance by any chance” and he's standing up quite tall and offers me a hand “she does”#and we go to the dance floor near the jukebox where quite a lot of people are dancing and eventually this song starts playing #and he kisses me surprisingly gentle and tastes like menthol cigarettes and hard liquors and I'm definitely a bit dizzy from the drink #he probably has a cute name like Daniel (Danny is what everyone calls him)#and maybe he has a bike or a really nice convertible. obviously red. je offers to take me home but we're just driving for a bit instead #“didn't you daddy taught not to get into stranger's cars?” “my daddy also taught me not to kiss pretty boys and yet”#“so you think i'm pretty?” “pretty enough”#and we laugh to the wind and the radio is on and this song starts playing again and it's a perfect moment #anyways. great song great band 👍#darya's mixtape #Spotify

It sucks when you learn something new which might be the answer to a question you've had for a while but you don't even know where to start to see if it really is the answer.

#liv won't shut up #the context: i am a white & from the us. but i have dark hair eyes & skin. dark enough skin that i get asked a lot if i'm latina. usually #latina (which i think matches my appearance the most) but i've gotten native american pakistani (okay that one makes no sense but whatever)#& a few others. thing is i know a lot of my family history. my family has been in the us for quite a few generations but before that my #ancestors were from england & scandinavia mainly though due to history i can assume i have french & german ancestry as well. & um these #countries arent known for dark complexions. so then ppl are always surprised. convo usually goes like this #person: where are you from?#me: the us #person: & your parents? what is your ancestry?#me: my family has been here for generations but before that they were from england & scandinavia mainly.#person: really? because you don't look like it. you look latina. where did your complexion come from?#me: idk how would i know?#well i recently learned about a group in scandinavia called the sami. they're originally from siberia but many moved to scandinavia #centuries ago. & they have darker complexions. so now i'm wondering if at some point i had ancestors that were sami from scandinavia #& if there genes just kept getting passed down until me #but man i do not have the time to figure that out #like i dont *need* to know i'll be fine. but i've always been curious & it would give me an answer to tell ppl that ask #also btw it isnt just white americans asking if i'm poc. lots of poc ask too. i'm working at a mexican restaurant & i get asked all the tim #there if i'm latina bc “i look like everyone else there”#but it would be nice to have an answer besides “idk” when someone asks why i have my complexion #at least i know what line it comes from. my dad & grandpa look like me too #& also got asked a lot if they were latino. even more than me. my grandpa is from southern arizona. we have a white american as heck last #name so everyone thought his dad was american & his mom mexican (nope). then he moved when he married my grandma to my grandmas #home town so then all of them saw this guy from arizona moving in with darker skin & also assumed he was at the least biracial.#then ppl thought my dad was biracial too bc he's the son of the random arizonan with darker skin #so i know wherever i got this gene comes from came via my grandpa

Headcanon: when the older Clarke kids were young, the Lambert house wasn't a historical preservation, it was just that really old dilapidated house nearby that the kids used to play in (because irresponsible midcentury parents gonna be irresponsible midcentury parents. James probably gave the walls a few kicks and declared it safe). They used to catch fireflies in the yard.

dark has a hard, absolutely not rule when it comes to underage vices of any sort, but i've gotta say given his and daisuke's shared sweet tooth people could way too easily mistake him having a lollipop for smoking :/

6.5hr in the car was rough. But I'm all bundled in my beddie bye and I have the box fan going (so glad I thought to bring it) and the view outside the cabin is beautiful and I'm going ziplining tomorrow morning

It is time to sleep bundled like a rat in its bedding and then have a wonderful day tomorrow

#speculation nation #the rat comparison is quite apt because i bunched the blanket all up and set the pillows around me #bc it's a king size bed and i usually sleep on a twin and i felt like a small prey animal out on a slab #easy pickings for the great predators.#theres also a mirror facing the bed and it's kind of stressing me out (bc im scared of mirrors in the dark)#but im being SoBrave and sleeping in the total dark so i dont have to see it (and thus it doesnt exist)#(i dont use a nightlight at home but i do have a digital clock that's pretty bright so it's effectively a nightlight #& ive realized total darkness is a bit unsettling when im used to Some illumination. mostly bc i cant fuckin SEE)#so me with my normal twin size mattess pressed against the wall + elevated into the air (bc top bunk of bunk bed)#PLUS side railings. i really do sleep in a fuckin rectangle huh.#but here i am on a square with a big room all around me and no wall pressed to either side of the bed.#see im a little prey animal on a slab. but it's ok i made a burrow into the slab. so i am safe actually.#it's actually pretty damn comfortable. tho i really should sleep so im not too tired in the morning.#in general if im absent over this next week just assume im doing mountain things. 👍
