Neuix: Describing a Non-Neutrois individual that finds a neutral gender attribution befitting and considers it an essential facet of their gender identity.

A sibling term of Mascix, Femix & Gynandrix.

Etymology

Neuix was created to mirror the paradigm used for Mascix. Femix and Gynandrix.

From English, “Neu” from “Neutral” + “-ix”, an neologistic suffix used by other terms in this genus, originally based upon Apathmascix and Apathfemix coined by user Cybertroniancoining. Neuix was coined by Gent of Gender-Jargon, 2023.

Elaboration

Neuix is a complex and potentially contradictory identity in which one’s gender is not Neutrois, but has neutral traits attributed to them nonetheless, and this attribution is not only considered to be fitting by the individual, but an integral part of their overall gender experience.

More simply, a Neuix individual:

Has a gender identity that they consider to be Non-Neutrois.

Has traits of neutrality attributed to them by other individuals.

Considers having traits of neutrality attributed to their person to be agreeable and in a few, multiple or all manners at least part of the time.

Considers this attribution to be an intrinsic part of their experience of their gender as a whole.

A Neuix individual is not apathetic to neutral gender attribution, but instead enjoys, appreciate, entertains, welcomes or otherwise freely accepts neutral traits being attributed to their person. Furthermore, this attribution is a fundamental aspect of their gender experience.

Flag

The Neuix flag was created to match the Mascix, Femix and Gynandrix flags. The flag consists of three vertical bars and a central, horizontal bar, forming a tri-color flag with a median line. At the left is the darkest green, becoming lighter as it moves right. The median stripes is beige in color. The colors have the following meanings:

The forest green, green and light green stripes represents neutral gender attribution.

The beige stripe represents not being Neutrois.

Note: Gender attribution is not necessarily based upon one’s expression, but is more frequently an assumption made about an individual’s gender identity without their input. Being an assumption, it is not always correct, good, wanted or warranted. Affirming attributions are congruent with one’s perception of themselves. Incorrect and undesired attributions are incongruent with this perception and are often distressing. Neuix should not be used to describe anyone who does not like neutrality being attributed to them, as it would be misdenoting on multiple levels

Meet the genderwallis root! It's named after Spathiphyllum wallisii, which is also called the “peace lily”. We picked this name between because genderwallis combines the concepts of genderfrith (frith means peace) and genderflor (flor means flower). However, genderwallis does not include neutral (niaspec and nin) genders. It's kinda its own thing.

As per the name of this blog, we made this for ourselves, but anyone may create and use terms and flags under the genderwallis root.

Since it comes to gender qualifiers, nongenders, ungenders, a-genders and antigenders might also describe these terms (such as antiningender, nonfingender, amingender & unfingender). Based on nofin-/nonin-/nomin- orientations, there are some mentions of them somewhere, not sure if someone officially signified these as coinages yet. Using «eugender» flags’ opposite colors.

Pérainity

Pérainity (or Périnity) is the quality that péragender and genders that are pera-aligned or pera-adjacent share. It's characterised a sense of gender that is not feminine, masculine nor neuter/neutral/neutrine, nor a combination, derivation, nor in any way related to these three qualities. People with périne genders do not lack gender nor do they experience gender apathy or confusion regarding their périnity.

the "Péra" pérainity makes reference to, comes from the Greek πέρα, meaning "beyond".

History of the term

The first appearence of Péra was with the coining of Péragender in 2019. In the coining post Péra is specified to be a specific gender and not an umbrella term, and no quality is associated with it (outherinity wouldn't be coined until month laters that same years), except maybe aporinity and enbininity; as the coiner says Péra can be under the aporagender (like all abinary comgenders) and nonbinary (and genderqueer) umbrellas.

The first time I saw a reference to Périnity as a gender quality was with the coining of Peraique, defined as "a gender that is simultaneously autonomous and périne-in-nature".

The in nature term is perin and its Viagender counterpart is peria.

Péra-aligned: Sadirian

A term for those who are péra-aligned. Having an alignment towards perinity/péragenderness/pérahood.

The term "Sadirian" comes from the star Sadr.

Some examples of sadirians are:

Someone who is partially peragender.

Someone who has some sort of connection to peragenderness, regardless of actual gender.

A non-binary individual who presents perinely, regardless of actual gender.

Someone connected to peragenderness through their experience with society. They may be treated as and/or have experiences similar to that of Péra.

Proxpéra: Coined by me on me. Coining post archived here. Proxpéra is the circabinary equivalent to Péra. Definition: "A gender near Péra(gender). It's relative to peragender, but separate and entirely on its own. It's proximal to peragender in the gender spectrum."
