The voice actors of Yusuke and Hiei, Nozomu Sasaki and Nobuyuki Hiyama, shared on their Twitter a video to promote the Yu Yu Hakusho Mini Figures. In the video, they are playing chess with the first mini figure collection released in 2022.

After so many years, it's good to hear their special techniques again: Reigan (Spirit Gun) and Jao Ensatsu Kokuryuha (Dragon of The Darkness Flame). It's also funny that Sasaki-san uses Kurama's figure to "checkmate".

Another very famous line from Hiei in Japan is: "It's an afterimage" (Zanzou da). He says that in the fight with Makintaro. He thought he had hit Hiei with his axe, but thanks to Hiei's great speed it was only his black robe.

In the video, Yusuke (Nozomu Sasaki) corners Hiei (Nobuyuki Hiyama) with three mini Yusuke figures, so Hiei thinks it's just an afterimage. How come there are three Yusukes? lol

Surprise Scarlet Nexus Reunion in Ron Kamonohashi's Forbidden Deductions?

While I only watched the Scarlet Nexus anime, I was surprised to learn about a surprise Scarlet Nexus reunion in Episode 17 of Ron Kamonohashi's Forbidden Deductions (also known as Ron Kamonohashi Deranged Detective)

Both Toto and Yuito are voiced by Junya Enoki.

The manager of the snack shop (and the obvious culprit) is voiced by Nobuyuki Hiyama who also voiced Karen Travers.

It's a little weird seeing people freak out about Nobuyuki Hiyama voicing the Hero in the Dragon Quest III remake, like "GUY SHISHIOH IS VOICING THE HERO!?" because... why wouldn't he?

They made a surprisingly big point out of highlighting each Hero's VA for Smash Ultimate, so it honestly would've been weirder for him not to voice him in this remake.

I feel like somebody on the production team really liked 556, and I'm simultaneously impressed that he & Lavie managed to get 2 character songs when a number of the main characters didn't even get one (not counting group numbers), and somewhat discouraged by this since I don't share that staff member's affinity. Curiously, I really enjoy the instrumental version of this song, you'll see when we get to it.

It's great that after more than 10 years, "Two Shots" and "All or nothing" were finally made into OVAs in 2018.

There's also an original mini drama story written and directed by Shigeru Chiba (Kazuma Kuwabara VA). Part 1 was released in the Music Battle Edition 2 (1994), and Part 2 in the Yu Yu Hakusho Memorial CD BOX (1995). The cast is Yusuke, Kuwabara, Hiei, Kurama and Botan.

"Yu Yu Hakusho Special Mini Drama ~ The Hungry Warriors" (Part 1 & 2)

This is a drama that makes fun of the lack of eating scenes in anime, where Yusuke and his friends argue over what to eat. Among them, Hiei wants to eat monjayaki. In the manga, when Hiei melted Bui's axe, Kuwabara says "It melted like chocolate''. In the anime, his line was changed to "It melted like monjayaki''. So, it was probably an in-joke between the voice actors, using the mini drama as reference.

I don't know if there's any translations. I remember someone told me they were translating the mini drama, but I haven't heard anything since then. Does anyone know if there's any translations?
