Controversial opinion but if I can see the hamantasch filling and it's taking up most of the triangle, it's not a hamantasch. The point of hamantaschen is that the filling is *hidden*, it's a pocket not a tart. It's fine if a little filling peeks out in the center but if it's basically just spread on top..... that's not a hamantasch. That's a triangular shortbread cookie.

Book update ♠️

I've moved onto my next book, King's Cage, of the Red Queen series by Victoria Aveyard 🥀

I've recently been reading this book series, and just moved onto this one. Wow what a rollercoaster the previous two have been 🖤

If you dont know, red queen is about a world with two sides, silver blooded and red blooded. The silvers have powers or "abilities" which makes them more powerful than red blooded people. As the most powerful, they rule the land with unfair strength and cruel power over the reds, forcing them to fight their wars and do all their work. ✒

But when Mare Barrow, a red theif from the stilts, emerges with her own ability, the ruling silvers hide her in plain sight. But Mare has other plans 🌚

I would TOTALLY reccomend these books so far, it's full of so many interesting characters and the plot is even better. If you're a fan of dystopian fiction with a pinch of sci-fi and romance, plus some wonderful plot twists this is the book series you should read 🛰

Creo que la discriminación hacia nosotros los negros, no tiene justificación. Es más que racismo: Es un odio mayúsculo frente a personas que solo intentamos sobrevivir ante lo que atraviese. Es envidia del tumbao y esa sazón que llevamos por naturaleza, de ver como realizamos grandes hazañas con todo en contra, a pesar de la maleza. Son celos de lo elegante que somos vestidos de melanina, ¡Ay Dios, bendita melanina! Es un coraje sin sentido hacia nuestro tono de piel, celos tal vez de no gozar de nuestra magia, nuestra esencia que afronta con una sonrisa las dificultades. Pero nosotros no nos creemos superior a nadie. Es más, nos consideramos iguales y anhelamos que nos consideren igual, y es que ¡mierda, no somos de otro puto mundo! Y ese pensar retrograda de que por ser "melaninoso" debes ser esclavo o menos que la basura, es parte del pasado, es historia y cargar con ella es más que suficiente como para seguir aguantando tales escenas hasta estas épocas. This leads us to #GeorgeFloyd The policeman who killed him viewed him as a lesser human and hence for 8 mins plus, he suffocated him and ignored his pleas to breathe. The policeman was told he was bleeding and told when he was no longer responsive. He didn’t care. If you haven’t seen the video, you must to understand. We should all be enraged. He was holding down not a man, but something different from himself. Be careful what emotions you harbor behind your culture and heritage excuse, because they are the same feelings used to hurt and even kill those less superior. There is no person that walks this earth whose life is worth more than the nexts. I once argued with a friend that my life was not any worth less than the popes or Obama’s, I still stand by that.
