Week 1 summery

It's actually now a month into it but I didn't post this ages ago for some reason. I will do a follow up 1 month post soon

Physical changes

The very first thing I noticed which began happening by day 2 was that I started smelling different. I'm super sensitive to scent so I have noticed I'm smelling different- not necessarily worse but different.

Having said that though I have also been smelling worse quicker. I've begun sweating a bit more, and that's heavily contributing I think. I've always been super hygienic, so this was pretty surprising lmao. I gotta spray more deodorant so I don't get feral and reek

The main other thing I've noticed is bottom growth - it's genuinely surprising how fast it's happening. I noticed it growing by the fourth day, and it's since grown a lot more

Mental changes

Mentally I'm doing a lot better in a LOT of ways.

I'm a lot more excited for life, and I'm feeling a hell of a lot more connected to my body. I have always had fucked up levels of dissociation and maladaptive daydreaming to get away from my reality - mainly due to how dysphoric I am/was after working through all the other inflammatory issues for it.

Now, I actually want to live my life because it isn't as much as a mental struggle to exist with severe dysphoria. It's still present because T doesn't magically work all at once overnight, but I'm already feeling so much better knowing I'm finally beginning to change.

Before, I was kind of counting down to when I wouldn't be able to take it anymore and was utterly miserable. Now I'm actually happy to be alive and live life - it genuinely feels surreal.

The only real downside I have had is that due to that initial consultation being mainly about every single possible consequence health-wise (even it it's SO uncommon, it's laid on so thick bruh), I have been stressed out about potential complications as I also have OCD and it's latched onto the things my doctor was telling me even though I am at extremely low risk for said complications 💀.

I will warn the trans OCD having dudes who are gonna go on hrt to be aware that so much of that first consult is mainly going over the absolute worst case scenario like blood clots, cancer, and shit like that. It honest to God felt like reading the back of a panadol bottle where it lists stuff like kidney failure and heart attacks on the back but like - presented as the absolute FRONT of shit 😭

the baby colin stuff gave him the respect of laszlo, nadja respects him enough to trust him with the money of the nightclub (yeah it was all cuz of a deal he made with her but if he saw him as fully lesser she would have put up more of a fight ageenst testing a human with the club's money) and the time they spent in england while it didn't make them exstreamly close did to some degree made them closer, nandor at this point mostly if not fully respects him, and colin... well we don't know how he'll treat him but if anything carried over from the baby colin shit he should at least give a crumb of a shit about him!

having him take a long time or need an unusual means to turn him which leads to him not fitting into the label of human or vampire would to me be an amazing way to go about this

in fact the thing I hate the most about this article is the fact that him ending up with a dhampire isn't spoken as a possibility AT ALL (unless I missed it but I fucking refuse to read that dumpster fire again)

having him be a dhampire would address many of the issues this person has with guillermo becoming a vampire

it would make him stand out, it would test him, it would lead to growth, and it wouldn't be boring and leave him with more to do as he figures out his new unique identity with the others

in conclusion: I spent WAY WAAAAY too much time on this

I like that Clams and Rider have a lot in common but are opposites in ways as well. They’re both “tSuNdErE” edgelords But one is an (aggressively) good kid who would decline but thank you for your friendly offers and the other would curbstomp you if you get in his way (AKA he would actively push you away). Anger is both their main expression But one is very expressive in general while the other has a resting bitch face. They’re both goth But one is more specifically punk. They both visibly obsessively train on that RISE & GRIND💪😤‼️ routine But One mains a lightweight weapon covering the ground in ink while the other Murders with a heavy weapon. 

Sidenote: I like to defend heavy mains on my team as an Aerospray cuz they tend to get targeted often and can’t react quick enough to flankers. They can go on a Splatting spree while I cover the floor and stack up victory points. If I slapped these two idiots on this scenario this strat would be in-character for Clams since a big part of his team’s shtick is them having each other’s backs. I also like the “mutually protective” element there.

Neither of them seem to be the type to be very vocal about love. So a romantic relationship would be extremely awkward at first. Clim could give a smooch and Ride goes “bro that’s gay” and Clammy’s like “THAT’S THE POINT YOU IDIOT”. And then they don’t make eye contact for a week. Or Raider could literally just smile and Clambert faints and dies. They are very bad at this. But they will get better and open up more (when alone).

Hilariously enough I like to imagine that the relationship evolves the same way my feelings towards the pair did overtime. At first I thought nothing of it then I was all like “mmm edgy squids” as a joke but bro... I don’t think it’s a joke anymore. At first they’d see each other strictly as rivals. I can see mutual respect with Rider being ranked S+ which Clams would likely aspire to be. And Clams valuing teamwork and trust is something Rider needed a whole character arc to learn and likely still needs to improve. They would realize they have a lot in common they can agree on and bond over. And a Good rivalry would encourage them to work even harder and learn from each other. From there I guess it gets sus. But it’d take a while for them to admit how they feel to themselves, let alone to each other.

Which brings me to one issue... Neither of them would be the type to make advances. If any progress is made it’d likely be accidental. Maybe one of them gets caught listening to Splatoonified MCR and the other goes “Yo is that Splatoonified MCR” and both of them in their heads go “This mf is Not straight”. They’d require some scenario pushing them to open up and maybe non-verbally confess otherwise they’ll just keep it to themselves.

Sidenote: I also like PartyPunk (Aloha & Clams) so in my stupid little head Aloha would play a wingman-type role as someone who is much more comfortable with that kinda thing as opposed to the other two Cowards. But this is not about PartyPunkRock so that’s for another time.

Speaking of scenarios. I'm a sucker for the Tending to Wounds scenario. They can battle (for no reason) until Rider gets wounded and Clams abruptly cuts the battle like “OH NO I AM SO SORRY”. Rider goes “Naw I’m good come at me bro” and Clams is like “WTF NO?” Cut to Clamlet tending to Ridr’s wounds switching between apologizing repeatedly for causing the wound and scolding him for disregarding his own injuries. Meanwhile Riddlr is just sitting there slightly embarassed like “bruh I can do this myself”.

Another one I had in mind for a while but I don’t want to spoil too much cuz I wanted to make it a proper art post. But remember when Rider wore a sick knight costume. He’s not very knightly character-wise but it looked cool. Clams however would fit the role perfectly. What if they were both rocking the knight drip... That is all I will say.

Bruh same. I HATE those posts and have only seen like...one or two that im actually like "accurate" about but thats because they all basically said the same thing and thats "u want someone to love u." Because who doesn't.

I'm gonna give a soft "no" to this request because again, I don't like those types of posts and I am not here to psychoanalyze anyone but the characters in game (because they aren't real people with real feelings), but I will elaborate a bit on why these particular posts drive me bonkers. I'm going to be tagging these types of posts as "character analysis" just for ease of finding if you want to hear more of my psychological/philosophical ramblings about this otome game haha.

Sure. Maybe you do like Lucifer because you didn't have a great relationship with your dad. Or maybe you like Mammon because you were bullied a lot. But for everyone who engages in Obey Me, we all have tropes and characteristics of the characters we like and dislike for whatever reason.

If you choose not to read further into my analysis here, then the tldr is this: People aren't so one dimensional that the only reason they like/don't like a character in media is some sort of weird trauma-related inferiority complex.

For instance, here's what I like about Lucifer based on little snippets of the game where we don't see him being a dickhead: I like that his character genuinely changes from the start of season 1 to where we are now. And you can even tell which devilgrams were made in s1 and which ones were recent. I like that he has genuinely soft moments with Mc, and the romantic tropes he displays. For the rest, its mostly my own head cannons on him being soft, learning from mistakes, and acknowledging hurt caused. The reason I like him is he evolved, and is a cutesy romantic simp.

Does he remind me of my dad? Hell no. Not even close. That wasn't even my first thought in the game when he was shitty.

So why then, does the assumption run that this fictional man is symbolism for my so-called "daddy issues"? Is it because some people headcanon him as being into kinks related to domming? Maybe so, but thats not my headcanon.

So herein lies the issue of making blanket statements and psychoanalyzing people on like this, and sending judgement upon them based on their particular character preferences: Everyone engages with a character differently.

Not all people share my headcanons, and there's nothing wrong with that. I wont share everyone else's either. And that's fine. The glory of watered down characters like the boys in Obey Me! Is that you can project whatever you would like onto them! Its pretty neat! And can some of that come from a place of trauma and insecurity? Absolutely. But who are you to tell someone that liking Belphie despite the fact he kills Mc in the main plot means they're "a red flag?" Please. This shit is harmful in more ways than one.

Maybe that person had an imagined redemption arc for the character in their head? Or maybe they didn't. In short: who the fuck cares? Liking or not liking a character doesn't mean you endorse the terrible shit they do- again, especially in watered down media where fandoms are blatantly encouraged to make their own headcanons for how the story plays out in longevity, rather than the small snippets we are given. And that's something I've always appreciated about media like Obey Me!

Also, liking a "villain" doesn't make you a bad person. You can like the dynamics of that character, or maybe even sympathize with their motivations. For instance, appreciating the dynamics snd careful character construction of Riddler in The Batman is not saying "hey, I really like that Riddler killed a bunch of people in neo-nazi fashion." Again, people are more one dimensional than that.

So, in short, leave people like who they want. Everyone engages in media differently, especially within the Obey Me! Fandom. Telling people they have daddy issues just because they like a character is more or less a super Freudian thing to do- and we all know that dude was bonkers. The perceptions people have of something shape their experience, and we know this. If someone's engagement with a character isn't causing harm, leave them be.

Anyways, sorry for the long rant, but I like taking about this sort of thing. It really pulls out the philosopher in me. Any asks similar in nature to this are more than welcome, I could go on for hours about this stuff.

poirier vs. chandler… im not even exaggerating when i say that fight made me nearly puke and pass out bro. i got fucked up sweat glands so your girl can’t sweat but if she could she woulda been DRIPPING from head to toe last night LOL. guys i think the reason i went so crazy was because i actually mentally prepared myself for the fight to be bad, for real. that’s genuinely what i did. i went into the fight telling myself that there was a well and good possibility that michael might actually just wrassle him into a decision and i was all good with it because i was still gonna like them no matter what. but HOLY CRAP i need to remind myself to never doubt them ever again because that was AMAZING!!!! start to finish was just an absolute dog fight. they looked so exhausted and broken and blood was pouring everywhere and michael was tossing dustin like a bag of flour only for said bag of flour to start raining punches on him (a la justin gaethje lol) and it was fucking incredible and i cant believe it really happened. not to mention the alvarez-chandler-gaethje-poirier circle of violence is finally complete hahah omg it feels unreal. and i can't believe dustin finished ALL of them.. he's so classy and talented and handsome lul he's really the perfect fighter

but hol on i wanna mention michael cheating because i’m not gonna lie that really made me question him?? not that iron michael chandler cares about what some delusional mma fan in canada thinks about him LMAO but still he always carries himself like a professional athlete everywhere he goes and he seems to pride himself on his ability to stand out among the fighters who don’t have the speaking style or the business etiquette that he does, so when he went into the fight and started pounding on the back of his head and actually HOOKING HIS FINGERS on the inside of dustin’s mouth trying to make him show his neck, it made me scratch my head because why are you behaving like an olympic athlete in front of the press only to go in the cage and treat your opponent like an abused farm animal lmao?

though im ngl… the idea of this polite, charismatic, american psycho type dude entering the cage and turning on mean ape mode is actually fucking hilarious? and he’s kind of more interesting to me now?? so i guess it doesn’t really matter that my opinion of him went down a little hahah silly observation but there’s my two cents. i’m still super impressed by both of them and they both have my heart at the end of the day

during weili vs carla i was playing runescape. i’m so sorry. i was just tryna level up my fishing i really have no clue what happened other than that weili finished carla because she’s really awesome and she kicks ass and i feel really bad that i wasn't paying attention IM SORRY LMAO!! my social credit score is in massive danger rn

izzy vs pereira had me biting my nails into little shreds because i could feel exactly what they were feeling. alex is just one of those “one clean hit and you’re out” fighters but izzy is obviously still a master of striking so watching those exchanges was like watching two people balancing on a plank over shark-infested waters lolol it was crazy nerve wracking. however y’all know that i was rooting for alex so i am super duper happy and i can’t wait to see who challenges him next!! tbh i’d prefer anybody but khamzat because if he really does move up to middleweight and becomes alex’s first challenger he’s fucked lmao cries… please start training in dagestan alex thank u <3

Chapter 6 Part 1 Reaction and Summary (1/3)

Let’s go let’s go let’s go, it’s liveblog time! This will provide a summary of what’s going on in the story from episodes 1 to 8 along with some of my reactions to it. Please keep in mind that I am not fluent in Japanese, so some details may be wrong.

Alright so we’re starting off with diving into the mirror for a Disney movie dream, gotta add that little bit more of a wait before we find that our unconscious body is discovered by...

Oh okay alright so we called Adeuce to come for us and we told them Grim is missing, but it’s only now we tell them what happened about Grim attacking us.

Anyway we go to the lounge, call Crowley, and tell him about Mickey, Grim, and the black stones Grim’s been eating. Crowley then reveals that those are “Blot Crystals” (ブロットの結晶) created from the condensed blot left in the body when the overblot state wears off. Crowley speculates that eating all these Blot crystals caused Grim’s true monster nature to awaken, leading to the attack. Because of how dangerous Grim is now, Crowley says they must quickly gather the students and teachers to launch a mission to capture Grim. Before he leaves to accomplish that, he says this under his breath

It may be time soon for “them” to start to move

We talk with Ace and Deuce about the matter of Grim being a monster, then we all decide to find Grim first to try and settle this peacefully cause he’s our friend.

Now we switch over to Crowley at main street briefing the dorm leaders (minus Malleus, plus Ortho & Lilia) about the situation. Ortho is able to use map data and fancy tech and stuff to find Grim first.

oh dear god grim baby what has happened to you, wtf are those deep growl noises.

Anyway, Ortho knocks Grim out and takes him back. Meanwhile, Adeuce are searching at main street. Deuce bruh I’m pretty sure baiting Grim with canned tuna is not gonna work when he’s like this. Crowley calls them about Grim having been found, and he says that Grim will be questioned when he wakes up and outside organizations will be called in as well to help with investigating what happened. Adeuce + protag won’t be able to visit Grim.

It skips to some days later, when the culture festival is over and Vil has gathered the dance team in Ramshackle’s lounge because he wants to apologize for what he did with trying to curse Neige and stuff. Then we got some stuff with Epel and Deuce being reassuring that they did great, then Ace comes in being devil’s advocate like “no it was not the best performance” and Jamil & Vil agree with him. Vil says that since the exhaustion from the fighting kept them from performing at their best, it was his fault that they lost.

However, Jamil counters that, saying that Vil doesn’t have the shoulder all the blame and responsibility, and while Neige won with likability the NRC gang won in terms of hard work. Then Vil comes in with the counter counter argument, saying that actually Neige’s group put in lots of hard work and effort too, just in a different way than they did. 

When they were younger, Vil was annoyed by Neige because Neige seemed spoiled. However, now Vil found out that Neige lived with the dwarves and always had to spend his time outside his acting career doing house work and supporting them. That is why Rook was drawn to Neige: becase of his ability to always smile so cheerfully and beautifully despite the hardships he had to face in life. 

Now, knowing what went into Neige’s performance, everyone regrets how they voted for themselves instead. Epel says he thinks he can’t accept the money cause he failed Vil by not being able to beat Neige in terms of lovability, but he will accept the money for Vil’s sake and also put it towards Ramshackle. The pressure is on Ace and Deuce to also donate their share, but Vil reassures Deuce that the money is his to do with as he wishes so both Ace and Deuce just take the money for themselves. Finally, Rook accepts and donates his share of the money.

With that out of the way, Ace now questions Rook some more about his voting choice.

- Erens corner is so goddamn messy. I’m talking rocks, wood, and grass EVERYWHERE. He claims it’s for the “aesthetic” but really he’s lazy and only upgrades his pickaxe

- He is a mining enthusiast, has somehow made it to the lower levels of the Skull Cavern. He spends so much time in the mines that his house hasn’t been upgraded ONCE

- Mikasa likes building shit and decorating, she also helps Armin out with farm chores bc she’s responsible unlike bitch boy Eren

- Her corner has a lot of trees and paths and is messy in an aesthetic way, it just looks like a small forest

- ARMINS IS THE PRETTIEST CORNER. So many flowers, he also took the corner with the pond. His house is fully upgraded too and decorated to the max

- Fishes and farms A LOT, he’s like the money maker of the three lmao

- Jean, Connie, and Sasha don’t have a main farm. They just keep remaking them and starting over and over and never get shit done

hoshihina thoughts

due to my hoshihina brainrot disease i’ve been thinking about them a lot and i have this whole spiel about it but i am going to try and organize my thoughts into this like. essay or wtv. ok so:

here is why i love hoshihina

1. They have many similarities/things in common

They’re both abnormally short for their field, and working through that disadvantage is something that unites the two. Also, they’re both incredibly strong-willed and know that they have to work that much harder to be the players they want to be, and do it anyway.

It’s clear in the Kamomedai vs Karasuno match that they both have great respect and admiration for each other as well, which ties into some of my other points, but basically they have these experiences that link them and put them on equal footing.

They also both jump super high obviously so there’s the whole ‘flying’ thing they have in common which is just. blows kiss magnifique

2. The imagery

i may be biased as a bird lover, but i adore the imagery associated with these two. both kamomedai and karasuno are schools whose mascots are omnivorous birds – both scavengers, both flying animals (like how hoshiumi and hinata ‘fly’ by jumping). Crows and gulls are almost like two sides of the same coin in my eyes. Crows are the scavengers of the land, and seagulls (generally) by the sea – but that doesn’t mean you won’t find them elsewhere too. Gulls are often seen inland and crows can be spotted by the shore fairly often as well. They’re also opposite colors which always gets me like, black and white,, they compliment each other,,,

In a similar fashion, because of the seagull association Hoshiumi also has a connection to the sea/ocean. Hinata also develops a connection to the shore through his time in Brazil learning to play beach volleyball. So in a way they’re also both associated with the beach, which I love. Plus there’s the whole ‘Hinata’s the sun’ thing which is widely accepted and that also tends to remind me of the beach, cuz sun + beach + ocean all kinda go together.

3. The implications of Hoshiumi waiting

god this bit is like. HHH it’s one of the main reasons i love them. When Hinata is taken off the court because of his fever during the Kamo v Kara match, Hoshiumi yells out to him saying “Hinata Shouyou! I’ll be waiting for you!”

His teammate (Hirugami Sachirou) responds to this by pointing out that Hinata’s not going to be back before the end of the match, and Hoshiumi then says (likely paraphrasing bc I didn’t screenshot this part) “Duh, I didn’t mean this match.” So like, here we have Hoshiumi declaring that he has so much respect for Hinata that he will be waiting for his next match against him.

THEN, there’s the implications you get from that. Karasuno doesn’t make it to Nationals the next year, Date Tech does. And because that would be Hoshiumi’s third and final year of high school, he never gets the face-off he’s supposedly been waiting for. So the implication is that he was still waiting for a match with Hinata, even throughout Hinata’s time in Brazil.

When they finally get their chance, it’s during the Adlers vs Jackals match nearly SIX YEARS after that first spring Nationals. It was January 2013 that first spring, and it’s November 2018 when they face off again, so FIVE YEARS and TEN MONTHS. The speculation that comes with that like,,, imagine Hoshiumi waiting all that time. The waiting the feelings,, finally some good fucking food.

5. Other little moments:

“SPARKS ARE FLYING BETWEEN THE TWO SMALLEST SPIKERS!”

SPARKS!!!!! ARE FLYING!!!! CMON!! ALSO LOOK AT HOSHI’S FACE LOOK AT THAT EXPRESSION,, he looks so happy to be in a match against Hinata and Hinata looks like kind of pissed of course cuz he didn’t get the point but he’s still really revved up and like,, sparks man.

this one’s just like. look at the calmness and mutual respect in their expressions,,

THIS ONE I LOVE bc the context is that Hinata told Hoshiumi he could have ‘the little giant’ title, and initially Hoshiumi was like “IT WAS MINE IN THE FIRST PLACE!” (paraphrasing) but then he goes and LAUGHS, and after this panel (look at his face he looks SOOO happy) Kamo’s coach says something along the lines of ‘wow, i’ve never seen kourai laugh like that on court before’ !!! he’s SO happy because of Hinata that he would laugh loudly like that when he’s never done it before,,,,,,,,dude.

Then there’s these parallels that’re just like. i’ve looked at these for five hours now:

these panels are SOOOO similar and it’s just like,, the looks on their faces that are mirroring each others’ from before and those obvious similarities really make it clear that the adlers v jackals match is truly the re-match that they’ve been waiting for all this time. And Hoshiumi in the first panel and Hinata in the second panel both look simultaneously so frustrated yet so THRILLED, and like they’re really truly enjoying and loving the challenge of going up against each other.

THIS is their reaction on seeing each other for the first time in 6 years!!! Hoshiumi literally bursts out of the bathroom yelling his name with THAT look on his face, pure elation and excitement, and Hinata responds in turn by yelling his name with THAT look, also excited as hell,,,bruv.

then hoshi’s first question is this (gotta keep up their relationship built on challenge and rivalry...) and KAGEYAMAS LIKE. BRUH U ALREADY KNO but jhdghjg Hoshiumi just wants to prove to Hinata that he’s worthy by pointing out he’s still a little taller and he wants him to think he’s cool like...that shit’s so cute,,my heart

4. THIS BIT

THE INTERVIEWER ESSENTIALLY SAYS “WOW, HINATA’S A GREAT RIVAL FOR YOU” (PARAPHRASING) AND HOSHIUMI SAYS THIS??? He’s saying here that no, Hinata isn’t his rival, because they can do more as a team. They’re better as a team, it’s them against the world, like ugh it explains itself idk how to make it any more clear that Hoshiumi clearly respects and admires and loves Hinata.

Also just before this panel, Hoshiumi admits to the interviewer that he thinks Hinata might just be a little teensy-weensy bit better than him as a player at this point. LIKE how much do you have to admire someone to admit that??? to the press at that?? i’m losing it bro...

Okay, so basically, the whole reason I started posting art is cause I'm proud of it.

Like, I have been drawing for a while now.

Not my entire life, in fact there was a time where I was like "dam, all my shit look like dookie" and I just straight up didn't draw outside of art class at all.

But there came a day I drew one of my toys on a piece of paper and I was like, "hm maybe not as dookie as I thought" and I have been constantly filling sketchbooks and notebooks ever since.

But throughout all the time I've been drawing, I have been super scared of posting any of my stuff.

Part of me was afraid of judgement, cause my anxiety once reached randoms online that I didn't even know or would never fucking meet again, for some reason. Which is stupid, I know now.

Part of me was super into the thought of fame. Like, I, a snotty fourteen or whatever year old, post a few images of Pikmin and Eddsworld online and overnight I become a celebrity, level narcissism. Like, no. That's not how that works. And that shit disappointed me, still! Like wtf was I expecting???

Last part of me just was not in the right mental state or confidence level to ever wanna post jack. I looked at my art and I always saw that I needed to improve. I had short bursts of confidence, where I'd post one/two art pieces online and then just never again cause I was just so terrified. Not even that much of judgement, but of people looking at it and just... Moving on, I guess.

One of my long term goals has always been creating something all my own that people love and make fanart and whatever else of. Unoriginal, I know. But the impact I'd plant on the other person has always intrigued me.

I made that person laugh! I made that person emotional! I occupied their brain for longer than a fucking second, enough for them to show it in some way! That's fucking surreal!

I have refined my artsyle, the stories of my many many OCs and just my attitude so much over the past few years. (Few meaning six or so years)

I will be posting about them more, as I have a small bit already. Those few old posts of my sketchbook, that has full pages, has quite a few of my OCs on there. I love them to bits and I wanna share them and their stories. I've let them cook in the oven for long enough, I'd say.

But yeah, why I'm mainly posting Madness rn is cause, one, I didn't want to pester my friend so fuckin much about it and two, I'm still obsessed. Not as obsessive as I was a month or two ago, but still pretty into it.

Thus one of the main reasons I finally gathered a shit ton of confidence to make my first few posts was that I feared being annoying otherwise. And FUCK did I need a lot of confidence for that first post.

My knees were weak, arms heavy, vomit on my sweater already; the works (mom's spaghetti).

Legit I don't get anxiety from that at all anymore, especially when I post about Madness. Like, ya'll just eat that shit up and I'm happy to provide.

OC stuff I kinda never expect to do good still, so it's a major confidence boost seeing that even those have twenty or so notes.

Like, the shit I expected to have a buncha notes, do. (Hank being bald is comedy gold after all) But ya'll liking OC shit makes my heart happy every time.

I love and read every reblog and message I get (ya'll are so nice, I can't not) and I just... I'm really glad I'm finally posting my shit online, bruh.

I have found out the biggest problem in the Danganronpa fandom

I DIDN'T FULLY UNDERSTAND WHAT COUNTS AS AN ANTI-VILLAIN OR ANTI-HERO

"A hero (heroine in its feminine form) is a real person or a main fictional character who, in the face of danger, combats adversity through feats of ingenuity, courage or strength. Merriam Webster dictionary defines a hero as "a person who is admired for great or brave acts or fine qualities"."

"Villain - a cruelly malicious person who is involved in or devoted to wickedness or crime; scoundrel. A character in a play, novel, or the like, who constitutes an important evil agency in the plot. A person or thing considered to be the cause of something bad"

"An Anti-Villain is the opposite of an Anti-Hero — a character with heroic goals, personality traits, and/or virtues who is ultimately the villain. Their desired ends are mostly good, but their means of getting there range from evil to undesirable."

"An antihero (sometimes spelled as an anti-hero) or antiheroine is a main character in a story who lacks conventional heroic qualities and attributes such as idealism, courage, and morality."

So for me, I would actually call the characters in Danganronpa, especially the main protagonists, anti-heroes rather than anti-villains due to them lacking the characteristics of a traditional hero such as idealism, courage, and morality.

(Hajime further proves this with how he acts and reacts at the end of SDR2, proving him to be a lot more human and selfish rather than heroic and noble)

What I mean by anti-hero are characters like Batman and Katniss Everdeen who are deemed as anti-heroes and are very similar to the characters of Danganronpa, especially with how Katniss Everdeen is the main protagonist of The Hunger Games which, like Danganronpa, revolves around a killing game in similar ways. Especially with how both stories revolve around survival and have the "kill or be killed" aspect
