⸺ WET TEARS AND BLOOD stained the shoulder of (name)’s shirt, the boy in his arms sobbed as he dug his nails into the cloth. this isn’t what he was expecting to see when he opened the front door, the boy he loves most with a red painted nose and bruises on his face as his cracked glasses tried to hide his weeping eyes. niragi almost collapsed onto the floor of his parents dirty apartment building, the feeling of wanting to vomit made itself apparent in his mouth when the lingering taste of the urine rice he was forced to eat rummaged around in his stomach.

of course the one time (name)’s parents had decided to keep him from going to school, this happened to him. it’s like his bullies were waiting for the day he’d be gone to finally strike onto niragi, “why weren’t you there?” he hiccuped in shaky breaths tearing himself away from him as his lower lip quivered, the bitterness of his eyes glowed as the heads of his eyebrows sent themselves upwards, “it was because of your parents again, wasn’t it?” niragi never understood the grudge his boyfriends parents had with him. (name) always tried to convince them into believing he was nothing but a saint, how no matter how many times they cursed him out that he would be the man to become their son-in-law whether they liked it or not.

but they never believed him, telling him how there was something in his eyes that he couldn’t see, something that he’d find one day that would make him wish he had thanked them in the future. all the times he spent at his house as he tried to prevent them from ever seeing him, not trying to cause anymore arguments with them about his love life. they acted like he was satan himself, conflicting abusive words onto him whenever he had found himself alone with one of them around the complex. telling him that a boy like (name) should never be inlove with someone like him, how he’d never be forgiven for his sins.

niragi was never sure of what “sins” they were telling him about as (name) had always grabbed him into his room the moment he heard the sounds of yelling coming from the different areas around the place, reassuring him that he wouldn’t let this happen again as they snuck out of one of his windows. niragi’s always tried to keep himself away from (name), the words of his parents getting to him as he constantly hid herself in dark areas around their school. watching him through glass panels and stair railings as loud music blasted itself into his ears, the sight of him laughing and fooling around with his friends made him think that maybe he did deserve someone better, someone that wasn’t him.

he was surprised he still even had tears to shed with all of whats been afflicted onto him, all this pain and agony that (name) tried to prevent itself from ever happening to him. his attempts of trying to be his savior, the light in his life as he brought him to different places around where they lived. the efforts he made in making him smile and laugh, the efforts he knew weren’t working but always hid around him not wanting the only person who cared about him in his life to be sad at seeing him broken.

(name) only nodded as his question bleed into him, reminding him of his failure of not being there for him, “stop hanging around me,” niragi confessed as more tears escaped from his waterline, “it’s my fault that your parents are trying to control you, my fault that this is even happening in the first place.”

(name) furrowed his brows at him as he clutched one of his hands onto the behind of his dirty blazer, “what are you saying—it’s not your fault, it never was,” he stammered with his voice shaking, pupils running themselves over his face with confusion, “i told you i wouldn’t let them get between us, so why even say that?”

“it doesn’t matter what you said to me!,” he grabbed at the front of his hair, the ends of his palms digging themselves ontop of his eyewear as his chest tightend against him, “this isn’t how it’s supposed to work out. it’s like all of this stuff, your parents, the boys that bully me, the way my own parents don’t even care about what i’m going through… i don’t think i’m meant to be loved, i’m not meant to be with you—“

“—of course you are!,” (name) cried as he forced niragi’s hands away from him, preventing his scalp from being torn apart as his nails gripped against strands, “niragi, you’re the best thing that’s ever happened to me. and i’m not gonna sit here while you talk about how you’re unworthy of anything. i promise that i’ll love you, i promise that no matter what we’ll go through the love that i have for you will never change. my parents can say whatever they want but i won’t let them take you from me,”

niragi’s body shook at all the words that left his mouth, once frowning lips now being turned into a quivering smile as his eyes glossed over him. her shaking arms wrapped around him as he whispered “i love you” to him profusely, ducking his head into his neck as he mirrored his actions, the two teenagers embracing each other with care not letting the actions of the outside world get to their heads as the love they shared protected them from it.

“am i really so filthy to you now?”

that conversation was now just a distant memory for the two as they stood infront of each other. (name) stared at the man he once showed his upmost care and affection too, his body was charred as the effects of chishiya trying to burn him alive scarred itself upon him. eyes that used to be covered by glasses and filled with life were now dark and empty, his dark hair he would always run his fingers through was burnt into a stiff mess, lips that he would kiss over and over again were currently wet as they were painted with red liquid, he didn’t have much time left. “poor niragi,” he mocked at him taking slow steps as he tilted his head, “everyone looks at me like that now.”

the man infront of him backed up as he moved closer, his iris never once leaving him as he tried to focus his shaky vision on the man, this wasn’t the suguru niragi he once knew. “y’know… i saw the way arisu and usagi hid you behind them the moment i made myself more apparent to everyone. you thought i didn’t notice, did you?” that moment, the scene that happened when the five first arrived at the game. kuina, tatta, arisu, usagi and (name) standing at the front as they all expressed disinterest in wanting to team up with niragi. arisu and usagi standing at his sides, moving infront to create a barrier between his figure and prevent his gaze from hitting itself onto him.

“you move on quickly, don’t you? i thought… with all the stuff you’ve said to me. you’d be crushed when you saw what aguni tried to do,” that day on the beach, when aguni charged at him into the fire. his bullets hitting his skin and yells echoing as the two disappeared, never to be seen from anyone again. he had found comfort in arisu and usagi after that. the two could see right through him, everyone did.

the feelings he held onto for niragi fading away as he watched the boy he knew in the real world slipping away from him. they knew that he didn’t wanna be apart of the militants, the vivid memories of timidly (name) as he walked around with the militants or trailed behind niragi. his eyes filled with lack of agreement at all of their actions, the glances of fear he had when chishiya had ratted them out during their heist of stealing the playing cards. the way shock had filled him when niragi was so close to beating arisu to death at his attempts of getting to usagi as she struggled in the hold of the other members. the way he was barely present when niragi attempted to have “fun” with usagi, even when he had asked him if he wanted to join.

how he helped usagi, tatta and asahi in finding where arisu was hidden, leading them directly to where he was. trying to prevent aguni from beating arisu when he tried to reason with him, telling everyone that he wasn’t the witch and him only saying it because of his guilt with hatter’s death. him helping the two in trying to take niragi down when he shot his gun around in the air, screaming at him as he called him a ‘traitor.’ how soft he was when he treated the duo’s wounds, not minding the loving glances they sent his way as he did so. (name) never expected himself to fall inlove again. fall inlove with more than one person that is, but arisu and usagi helped him. helped him express his feelings that he would never be able to do with niragi.

“did you forget you belong to me?” niragi spat as he scowled at him, grabbing ahold of his face when he had backed himself up into a crate, “did you forget who was there for you the day your parents had died?” he smiled at the sight of his eyes widening, reminding him of grief he had locked away, “it was like christmas for me. the pieces of shit that tried to tear us apart, finally gone!”

a psychotic giggle left him as his grip tightened around his face, sharp but broken nails cutting themselves into his skin, “and now we’re about to join them, all because of that stupid tatta!” niragi seethed grabbing (name)’s arms as he chucked him onto the concrete floor, crawling onto him as he straddled his waist. his hands wrapped themselves around his throat as he struggled against his hold, choking breaths leaving him as he tried to tear him off of him, “why not make the most of it?” (name) kicked his legs as he yelled, calling out to anyone. arisu, usagi, tatta or kuina.

all of their names left his mouth as niragi’s patience with him was getting thin once (name) had kicked at his abdomen and pushed him across from him, using the little strength he had to crawl away from him. niragi grinned as he toppled up, towering over (name)’s frame as he grabbed ahold of his head, “i always preferred it when you were quiet!” he yelled slamming his head against the concrete repeatedly, blood dripped from the side of his temples as he was knocked unconscious. niragi smirked as he rolled his body over, “i always hated how you pinned over him. that boy you knew in high school,” he talked as he kissed at his mouth, grinding his private area against his crotch.

“the one that you still saw in me…” he whispered tugging away the bottom of his shirt as he left bloody mouth prints against his torso, “that promise you made, saying how you’d love me no matter what… i always knew it was bullshit.” niragi tugged at the zipper of (name)’s pants, lip corners curling into another grin as he revealed his bulge. his hands hovered over the top of his jeans before a kick was sent across his face, knocking himself away from the man’s passed out body. laughs left niragi as usagi spat insults at him, punches were brushed against the sides of his face as he turned his neck, focusing his blurry vision to (name) as he saw arisu rush to his aid.

𝐂𝐡𝐢𝐬𝐡𝐢𝐲𝐚:

• Honestly to him it was a 50/50 feeling about you joining the game with him, the poor man was gonna have a heart attack if the game was a single winner game but luckily for him it wasn’t!!! So now he feels a lot more relief, especially since he’s got you as his partner.

• Chishiya sat you down like disobedient dog cause he knew you’d mess around in some way, he knows you to well. It was quite frightening to the other players on how quickly your attitude changed after Chishiya’s lecture. He doesn’t want to worry about you picking the wrong answer on purpose.

• Chishiya knows your super irresponsible but your also very smart so Chishiya trust you, but not with yourself. He immediately side-eyes you the moment you make a suicide joke, and tells you to take this seriously. You immediately tell him he’s a kill joy which has him staring at you strangely.

• Most of the game was just the two of you watching the other players and trying to investigate who the Jack player was, along with watching others die in the game. Though an hour into the game you already had your suspicions about who the Jack player was, which Chishiya decided to listen to since it was something he trusted you with.

• The two of you are mostly seen at the cafeteria table eating cookies together and talking with each other, while the two of you where offered to join this pretty lady’s group the both of you where quick to deny it. Why rely on others when you two have each other?

• When staying overnight in the game, you definitely had Chishiya cuddling in the same bed as you, he was quite defensive about it but after your annoying pleads he let you cuddle your face into his back while the both of you slept. It’s been a while since you two have gotten to sleep so comfortably, especially since no one could get out of their way to kill you.

• Once the game ended you two walked out hand in hand like a regular couple would, letting the last two players torment the Jack player till he died, a satisfied grin appeared on your face watching the airship explode in the sky, Chishiya definitely gave you a concerned stare before shrugging and holding your hand tighter as you two continued onto your next game. ____________

𝐁𝐚𝐧𝐝𝐚:

• You and Banda were the last players to enter together, though most of the players already assumed you two were close since you walked in with each other with hands together. 

• When a random dude wanted to join the two of you, the both of you gave each other a look before allowing him to join you. Banda has to keep an eye out on the guy who so boldly tried crowding you two!

• Banda doesn’t really care how you behave in the game at all, You could be silly and goofy or just act cold and sadistic it doesn’t affect him since he’s not worried about you two dying. 

• After Banda found out that Yaba and Momoka were fucking in the prison cell he probably asked you if you wanted to do the same after naming your suit shape for that round. Yaba and Momoka weren’t the only players annoying other players and having fun that night. 

• Banda has his arm around your waist 24/7 throughout the game, He isn’t ashamed about P.D.A. but he also doesn’t want to be taken lightly by other players, he’s gotten at least three people to betray their partners.

• During the nights you two slept the most comfortably, the two of you have your arms wrapped around each other in a death grip, refusing to let the other go. You unfortunately end up falling off the bed even though you guys are gripping onto each other for dear life 

• At the end of the game, it turned out to be Enji who was the Jack in the game! While some other player left, Banda and Aki decided to have some fun trying to get information out about the boy, two bad for both of you he didn’t last very long.

𝐀𝐤𝐢:

• He found it a bit irritating how you weren’t taking the game seriously, hell you weren’t even listening to the rules at all! He probably criticizes you for it and tells you to pay better attention or you’ll end up dying if you continue to play games like that. I mean he isn’t gonna be in every game you play, so how are you gonna survive the other ones if you don't pay attention?

• Aki has a firm grip on you 24/7 throughout the entire game, like a dog on a leash. You expect your fate though because your hubby was hot as hell looking upset with you, after all your favorite hobby was to annoy the living hell out of him.

• You’ve probably made a suicidal joke in front of other players, making it sound like a goal/ dream of yours to happen. All the other players think of you as insane and avoid you at every chance they get. Aki said he was embarrassed by you, yet still followed you around the game area like a guard dog.

• The two of you are surprisingly always found together in the kitchen, mostly because of you. You tend to take a whole basket of snacks with you around the place to eat during the entire game, too bad none of the other players seemed to have a huge appetite.

• Aki does NOT welcome other players to join your group, if anyone asks they’d probably get flipped off but if any of them ask if you could read their suit Aki intentionally gives them the wrong answer. You find it a bit mean but Aki just tells you it’s for your own sake and brushes it off.

• Sleeping together at night is one of the most fun times in your opinion! You got your hubby to agree to let you sleep on top of him, which got you face first into his chest and his arms wrapping around you to keep you from falling. Before Aki could go to sleep you blurted out who you thought the Jack was before going back to sleep and Aki stayed awake the whole night figuring out why that answer made so much sense. Why are you so smart yet so fucking stupid!?!? 

• At the end of the game when it turned out that Enji was the Jack player, you had the most cheeky grin and poked Aki with a bunch of ‘I told you so’ Aki wasn’t very pleased about it but what the hell. You stayed at the game area with him until he had fun torturing Enji till he gave up and died. Aki said he was no fun, barely slipping out any information about the Borderland world which you giggled about!

𝐊𝐲𝐮𝐦𝐚:

• You and the entire band were just standing there while Kyuma was trying to set up the rules on your guy's new game, with all of you voting, bickering, and suggesting ideas till you all settled on the game rules and let the games begin.

• Since you guys were part of the game-making rules you just had to beat other players playing your game, you weren’t complaining one bit, especially when Kyuma decided to go nude during the entire game! A+ view for you to be honest, definitely made sexual comments to Kyuma which made him laugh or stare at you amused while your other teammates were gagging.

• When the first players joined you were more than thrilled to see them, honestly you had a 50/50 chance of winning and that had your blood pumping after staying in this world. The other 6 contestants were super serious about it which had you amused a bit, also seeing another ’couple’ in the game! To bad it was your team or theirs!

• After being broken into your teams, the 6 of you split your points evenly, You and Uta were assigned to guard your bases together while the other four men were going around grabbing points for your team. There wasn’t much for you and Uta to do other then say random shit to each other.

• You and Uta looked at each other worried at the fact the other team was leading in by 5000 points, that’s where all 6 of you had a small meeting where they all agreed to risk their lives to touch the base pole, While you were the first to quickly volunteer you were also the first one to be shut down by Kyuma who disagreed, saying it was yours and Uta job to protect the base.

• After the whole base situation three of your members came in with 10,000 points! So the 6 of you decide to go into pairs of 2, agreeing to go find items and other players to gain points since they probably wouldn’t have the guts to go to your base. Which was right! Good for you cause the rest of the game was you getting to hold Kyuma's hand and find items together like a lovely couple!

• The moment your team was 30,000 points ahead for the other players you all just hung out at the base, with you all standing around bored. However, after 20 minutes, you convinced Kyuma to lie down with you on the floor, just waiting for the next hour for the game to finish off.

• When 10 minutes of the game were remaining, you and Kyuma decided to go walking around the harbor until you two were met by the large ocean and the beautiful sunlight hitting it. While you sat down on the edge of the harbor, you gushed to Kyuma about how pretty the ocean was and how beautiful it would be to commit suicide here. Kyuma was quick to place his hand over your head and smack it down, telling you not to say such things before you two heard footsteps from behind you.

• The two of you watched Arius bow his head to Kyuma, thanking him for the game and his kind words earlier, that he couldn’t stop thinking about it. The boy kept on ranting till there was a minute left in the game before asking for one last handshake him Kyuma. You told Kyuma to hold your hand while he gave the opponent one last handshake, it was obvious Aruis lost five hundred points but only looked at with a smile before thanking Kyuma one last time and dying as the time ran out.

• Kyuma looked at the dead body upset, saying that guy was good opponent. You let out a small laugh at Kyuma's comment before kissing his hand and squeezing it tightly as the game officially finished

“You did a good job anyways Kyuma, I plan on living as long as you do well, alright?”

𝐍𝐢𝐫𝐚𝐠𝐢:

• You and Niragi were both the very first people to enter the King of Clubs game, wrapping the device around your wrist so confidently. The both of you didn’t seem to fear death one bit! One didn’t care and was willing to risk everything, while the other was a Suicidal manic who desired death themselves.

• Arisu and his friends were not amused to see the both of you standing there waiting for the game to start, yet all unhappily joined the game to hopefully get back home. Too bad for them you guys didn’t care much about that, of course getting back home would be important, but not as fun as enjoying a game.

• Niragi scowled down at the ass-naked man named Kyuma explaining the rules to the six of you, he especially didn’t like the way he touched you to explain the rule system. He was barking like a dog at Kyuma which you gladly made fun of him for.

• Arisu said that it would be uneven to just have one person gaurd the base so he had Kodai and Usaig gaurding. You and Niragi obviously teamed up together, going through multiple creates and tagging other players through your searches. When the two of you came back to the base, you both were a bit surprised that your teammates were less hostile to you.

• After the other teams pulled the stunt with your guy's base. You groaned at the inconveniencing position the other team left you all. Niragi wasn’t happy about it either, he was quick to make fun of Kodai for failing to keep the base safe while your teammates told him to leave Kodai alone.

• After like an hour of searching and your team’s failed attempt to get all your points back to win back from the other team (or at least have the same advantage) you and Niragi wandered and mopped around for a while, it didn’t help that Niragi started coughing up blood now. You had to hand him your coat to use as a napkin which you weren’t very happy about.

• Once there was an hour left into the game and your team still wasn’t gaining any points, Niragi just said ‘Fuck it’ and started pulling on your shirt, telling you to have sex with him one last time before the both of you die didn’t in this stupid game. Niragi didn’t care if you wanted to open up a create to do it or just fuck on the floor but you better decide quickly cause this man is already trying to take his pants off along with your shirt.

• The two of you were just lying against each other after your session, quietly glancing at the timer that said 5 minutes left and your team still has no advantage. Surprisingly Niragi had his arms wrapped around you very tightly as he kissed your forehead a few times and mumbled out some ‘love you’s here and there while you wait for the timer to hit zero. Suddenly an announcement was made about your team gaining 500 more points and getting a higher score an the opponent's team.

• The two of you stared at the screen with wide eyes, and both of you said ‘Holy shit’ in unison before you two slowly looked at each other in disbelief. That was the first time in a while Niragi threw his hands around you, pulling you into a death hug, before immediately stopping. You made sure to make fun of him when you two were walking out of the game arena. He really loves hates you.

M/N was sitting in the meeting room, right across from Niragi who kept staring at him. Hatter and Aguni were discussing about something that included the beach and the cards and some other stuff that M/N didn't pay attention to. Because even though M/Ns eyes were going from Hatter to Aguni to back at Hatter as they talked to each other, his whole focus was on Niragi staring right at him, with a smirk plastered on his face. Him staring at M/N kinda excited him, but at the same time he got goosebumps from Niragis piercing glare. Once Hatter and Aguni were done talking, Hatter ended the meeting and people started walking out. M/N had no other option than to stare back at Niragi. As M/N turned his head to look at him, he could see Niragis growing smirk. M/N kept staring at Niragi for a while, before Niragi got up from the chair and saw that the only ones remaining in the room were him and M/N. Niragi walked toward the door and gave M/N one last glare before walking out. M/N stayed in his seat for a while, smiling to himself, because right before Niragi left, M/N could see a slight bulge in Niragis pants. M/N stayed sat on the chair, before getting up and walking out too, leaving the meeting room empty.

You have a hard time controlling your breathing. Across the room, Niragi struts around with his gun, as if he owns the place.

“That fucker!” Growling, you take a step toward him, but a hand on your shoulder stops you.

“Not yet, Y/n,” Jun says. “Wait until he’s alone. That’s the plan.”

You nod, however reluctantly.

That fucker Niragi has been on your mind for the past week. Once arriving here at The Beach, it didn’t take long for you and your friends to find out how dangerous it is. Choosing to stick together in case anything happens, all seemed well. But inevitably, someone would get separated.

Akane ran into Niragi, alone.

When she finally told you what happened, you almost went after him. Luckily your friends stopped you. Though you all were angry, the cooler heads convinced the rest that you need a plan to get revenge. So, after a week of planning, today’s the day.

Seeing the way Niragi’s taking, four of your friends rush into an upcoming room before he sees them. As he turns the corner, you and Jun start closing the distance between you and him. Closing in on him, your heart beats erratically, staring at his gun. Tensing, you jump at him just as Niragi whips around.

“Why the hell are you follo-” He cuts off as you jerk his gun away from him and Jun follows up with a punch to his face.

Niragi grabs his face for a moment, but it’s just enough for your friends to rush out of the room and grab him.

Already, you know you went a bit far. You’re prepared for a fist, a kick, whatever he throws, even ready to grab his rifle should it move.

Your eyes flinch shut.

Tasting blood, you hold it in your mouth as you scramble to your knees. Niragi gets to his knees and reaches for his gun, but you throw out your leg, kicking it away. Within his reach, he decks you, your head whipping back.

On your back, you blearily see his rage-filled face as he comes to punch you. But he pauses for a moment. You spit the blood at him, throwing him off.

Grabbing him again, you ram your head into his nose.

Niragi makes a sound as he falls back. You get up, blood pumping.

Towering over him, your wide eyes watch him clutch his nose, blood leaking through his fingers. Jaw clenched, you ignore the pain and look away. You awkwardly nod before trudging off.

Aguni stares at you and Niragi a lot.

It feels like glaring, but he doesn’t say anything. He stops pairing you and Niragi up, instead, giving you increasingly annoying partners.

After a few days of this, you're ready to snap someone’s neck.

“Do you want to wind down a bit?” Daisuke asks.

You’ve slowly stopped hiding at the Beach and started hanging out with Daisuke. A fairly good person in a sea of debauchery. You’ve also talked to Chishiya more. You even met his friend, Kuina. You recognize she has some muscle, either from working out or perhaps she’s a fellow fighter.

That night, you two go to the bar to wind down. Predictably, people are already there, some seemingly trying to drown in alcohol. What is an unwelcome surprise is the annoying militants and the rifle-toting man himself, Niragi.

“Perhaps we should drink somewhere else,” Daisuke says before you two are seen.

“Look whoo’s it, the guy Aguni Knocked out!” Some guy yells.

Vaguely, he seems familiar. But that’s not important right now. After a shitty day, the last thing you want is another annoying dick bothering you.

“Niragi! Can’t you control this thing?” These are the first words said between you two in days.

The guy becomes red, though that could just be his drunken self. When Niragi does nothing, the man seems to gain more confidence for whatever reason.

“Jus ‘cause you’re in the Militia doesn mean you’re one a us,” He says.

You stare at him for a long time. Then it hits.

“OH! You’re Ken-something aren’t you?!” You exclaim. “You haven’t been bothering people, have you? I could’ve sworn I said I’d “break your arm,” or “rip your fucking tongue out,” didn’t I?”

Up til this moment, you hadn’t realized the music wasn’t playing.

Ken-something is practically foaming at the mouth, “My name! Is Keiji!”

“I don’t care, Kenny.”

Before Kenny explodes, Niragi interrupts.

“You are so annoying!” He slams his gun into the bar, standing.

You feel your heartbeat start picking up. You two stand there for a moment before Niragi stalks off, Kenny and some of the other militants follow.

Sighing through your nose, you take a seat at the bar, ignoring the way the other militants look at you.

“I’ll have a-”

Another awkward drive.

Niragi’s driving and you’re in the back with three others. A tight squeeze.

Arriving at the venue everyone is forced to give up their weapons. After doing so, your group and another pile into the small one-room building. When the game is revealed, you can’t help but fist pump.

Spades.

The game is called Room for Two: Within ten minutes, only use your hands to clear the room until only two people remain.

And the doors lock.

Taking a deep breath, you hold it, then let it out slowly.

Surveying the room, you register only two real threats, Niragi and some guy who would give Aguni a run for his money.

Staring at the big man, you utter only to him, "I am so sorry."

Within moments, you are able to make people realize that he is the biggest threat. After three minutes, he and three others are dead. A few people are fighting each other as those who freeze are snuffed out.

As the time runs low, your bloody and crazed self is seen as the biggest threat.

Four people rush you and you remember one of those times you nearly died.

"Fuckers! Fight fair!" You hypocritically shout, kicking a man in his nuts before decking him, knocking him out.

Someone wraps their arm around your neck, pulling you back. The two others start wailing on you, punching you in the face and stomach.

Gasping and choking out sounds, your vision fades. In desperation, you throw out a hand, poking one of them in the eye.

The other person winds back and is thrown to the ground.

Your narrow vision stops you from seeing the fist fly past you, knocking your strangler's head into the wall behind them.

You gasp as their hold loosens. Elbowing them in the stomach, you twist around and slam their head into the wall repeatedly. Glancing behind you, you see Niragi stomping on an assailant's throat.

Throwing the strangler’s corpse to the floor, you help Niragi finish off the last people in the room.

One minute, that's when the timer comes to a stop.

You and Niragi are drenched in blood. It covers your shirt but stains his. Your knuckles are raw, scraped, and bleeding. You’re both panting. Niragi has a nasty look on his face, glowering at the mess around the room.

Niragi turns to you, "Stop that, it's creepy."

You're shaking. Your face hurts, not from the hits, but from your wide grin. It was so exciting, you can't help it. All your previous fights in the Borderlands can't compare.

'Perhaps not the Tag game, though.' The thought passes quickly, though.

New king of Diamonds; Ouki Yaba, specialices in Diamonds. [Far as I know Yaba speciality wasn't mentioned in the Manga or TV Show unlike others but he proved to be really inteligent and astute so I think Yaba's speciality would be Diamonds games]. He became a Borderland Citizen at the end of the season 2.

The new and mysterious face card that appeared at the end of the last episode of season 2 who could either signify a new beggining for those who survived Borderland and the line between death and life that occured during the meteor incident or that they weren't out of clear yet but who knows. In the show they omitted the existence of The Joker regardless he was shown in the Manga a couple of times so it is a possibility that he could appear in a future season or a movie if they ever decide to adapt the new Manga.

New character; Sayumi Arisu aka Ryohei Arisu's niece, daughter of his brother who I forgot what was his name. Sayumi plays videogames like his uncle Ryohei did back before being in Borderland. Sayumi and his best friend; Kenji Nakahara decided to go and spy on Arisu while he was going to his work only to suddenly get involved in the whole building fall down and they wake up in Borderland only to find her uncle there who had a similar situation with the meteor incident and got dragged back. Now Sayumi had to survive in Borderland to go back to the real world with his best friend and uncle Arisu. Sayumi's speciality is Spades games physical strenght and battles.

New character; Kenji Nakahara. Kenji speciality would be Diamonds intelectual games, his inteligence reach Chishiya's and Arisu's level. Kenji has been in love with Sayumi even before they were dragged to Borderland. He became an incredible fast learner in Borderland and his games and is incredibly fast and strong even though spades games aren't his thing. He used to sport in boxing back then. Kenji loves to annoy Chishiya and Niragi.

Old experienced player; Ryohei Arisu. Now Arisu's an adult and he married Yuzuha Usagi and is now on the wait for their children to be born. Arisu's speciality are now; Hearts physchological and Diamonds intelectual games. He's really inteligent and clever, he knows how to analize and resolve things. He's still the Main character. He forgiven Chishiya and Niragi for what they did back in Borderland.

Old experienced player; Shuntaro Chishiya. Chishiya became a better person and change for good after the meteor incident. He still works as a Doctor but works at a different hospital. Back now in Borderland he helps Arisu and the others to defeat the new facecards and return to the real world. Chishiya's speciality is: Diamonds intelectual games.

Old experienced player; Akane Heiya. Akane still practices Archery and now she became a profesional Archery athlete and graduated from highschool and finishes her university college as an teacher of Archery and physical education. She finds herself back in Borderland and gets scared to die in there so she makes a promise to return to the real world and to find Aguni and win the ganes beating down the facecards like a Queen.

Old experienced player; Suguru Niragi. Niragi became a better person after the meteor incident and change for better. He worked as an videogame engineer and became a profesional gamer player and won the cup of gaming tournament and got himself an athlete star girlfriend who loves him for the real him. Niragi and his girlfriend finds themselves in Borderland and Niragi freaks out that he could loose his girlfriend so he makes the promise to protect her till the very end even if it means sacrifising his life to save hers.

⸺ THIS WORLD WAS ROTTEN, that’s all (name) knew when he was sent to this verison of shibuya. a version where he had to fight for his life in games that he never thought he’d be able to survive. he missed his family. he missed the warm comfort of his bed, the cold wind that brushed against his window at night, the excitement he always felt as he met up with his friends to hang around amusement parks that opened around the city.

why, why him? had he done something wrong in his past life to be cursed into this hell? he didn’t know what to do during his time here, he was alone throughout all this. he had survived, what—three—four? games by now. eight of spades, three of diamonds, six of clubs, and two of spades. he didn’t want to do this anymore, he didn’t wanna kill innocent people just to keep himself safe. either way, it’s not like he was given a choice. with the effects of the visa lingering over him, he had too. he was afraid of letting the days run out just to get shot down by a laser that came from god knows where.

he didn’t know the importance of the cards, he just stuck them in his pockets after he finished a game and off he went to his abanded apartment building to rest for the remainder of the day. that is … until he found the beach. he doesn’t know how he found it in the first place, but not a day goes by where he doesn’t regret it. why you may ask? it’s simple, really.

it was all because of suguru niragi.

ever since (name) joined the beach, niragi has been anything but kind to him. yes, niragi was already a complete asshole to people at the beach anyways, but for some reason (name) was his number one target. constantly degrading him, beating him till he was bruised to the pulp, even making some of the militants hold back his limbs as he dragged his (loaded) rifle across his abdomen and chest telling him how “he could pull the trigger at any moment if he wanted to”; this always stroke fear into (name)’s core. even stealing the chipped glasses off his face making his shitty vision betray him, this gave niragi a bigger advantage to the torture he indured as this made the man more helpless than he already was.

(name) was weak, fragile even and easily scared, he wouldn’t deny that, the borderlands practically ruined him. he knew that niragi could actually kill him at the slight pull of his trigger. it didn’t help that niragi was a stubborn and narcissistic man that wasn’t afraid of getting blood on his hands if it meant having more fun, the total opposite of what (name) was. he always attempted to avoid him throughout the building but alas, he always failed. especially since the militants were everywhere, always notifying him of his location or when he got back from a game. he was like a bug that always showed up around the house no matter how many times he tried squishing it. the beach was supposed to be a place where players could have fun, not stressing about the games that existed outside of it.

live your lives to the fullest was the message hatter had given everyone, but how could he do that when this maniac lingered at every corner he turned? he couldn’t relax if he wanted too, always on edge as stress ate up his body worrying about both the games and the pierced devil with an ego too big for his body. (name) prayed every night that niragi would just disappear one day, maybe even failing at a game for being too careless or reckless at it. however, no matter how many times he did so, he would always succeed. coming back even more pyschotic than the day prior and he’d have to deal with his wounds getting reopened again as the days went by.

niragi hated how much (name) reminded him of how he used to be. innocent, weak, helpless, lonely, always letting his bullies get the upper hand all because he didn’t know how to defend himself. he wanted to kill him. kill the person that reminded him of all those horrible memories. but he didn’t, no matter how many times he thought of doing so, he didn’t. he was too infatuated with him.

ever since he first caught sight of (name), he was obsessed with him, how pure he was. all the brightness he had in his eyes, the spark inside them having yet to go out considering the predicament he was put in. how everytime he caught sight of niragi, his eyes widened and his body began to shake. all the tears and whimpers that left him as he dragged a knife against his skin, threatening to cut it open and leave him to bleed out. his poor little rabbit. being forced to succumb to the rules of the borderlands, he just wanted to tie him up and leave him in a closet where only he could find him. where he’d have to be forced to rely on niragi to live. he was perfect.

of course, that wasn’t possible. he didn’t want (name)’s visa days to run out and have to come back to his lifeless body bleeding out on the floor because of that stupid laser. so he let him roam free. if you would call tormenting “roaming free.” but again, it was all he could do. he didn’t have to worry about the beach residents foiling his plan since they already knew that (name) was off limits. ever since one of them walked in on his fun time, as he liked to call it.

(name)’s whimpers were muffled as the fabric that kept him quiet tugged against the corners of his mouth. his hands jerked at the restraints that trapped them against the frame of the bed, his feet were mirrored the same way. all he did was let out tears at his situation. niragi had captured him again, after he thought he’d been so successful in avoiding him. he hadn’t seen him or the militants all day, he was ecstatic in thinking he could have a peaceful day finally, one where he could relax just like hatter promised.

oh how naive the poor thing was, did he forget where he was stuck at? he strolled around the hallways of the building, playing around at the umbrella straw that was soaked inside his drink. he was finally able to visit the club that most of the citizens hung around in, a huge bright smile was plastered on his face. this was the first time he felt ever content in this place in months or however long he’s spent here (dates or calendars weren’t very accurate especially since the internet didn’t work anymore and nobody’s been keeping track of the days) it was too good to be true, but like always, his happiness was cut short. as soon as he turned the corner to head to his room he felt someones hand press a wet cloth against his nose, the smell of it was nauseous, his drink dropped to the floor staining the carpet beneath it. “shh…” was all he heard before he blacked out.

his vision was groggy as he woke up, blinking his eyes at an attempt to take in his surroundings. the room he was in was dark but dimly light by the bedside light, window curtains blocking off the outside, and wooden door closed off. attempting to sit up, he struggled, finally feeling his limbs glued to the bed he was in. realization had finally set in as he cried, obviously nothing came out and nobody would hear him anyways, so why would he even try?

“i missed you today.”

like a sixth sense, the door opened as a figure walked in, niragi. a shit-eating grin painted his face as he watched (name) struggle against the hold of the ropes, muffled screams left him as he walked over to his side settling down his rifle. niragi grabbed ahold of his face, squishing his cheeks together as he mocked a pout, “i have to give it to you, you hid yourself pretty well. i was starting to think you fell down the rabbit hole.” he spat rolling (name)’s head to the side. niragi opened the bedside table as he grabbed a small pocket knife that was hidden inside it.

he cocked the knife, revealing the sharp metal point. (name) was breathing heavily as niragi crawled ontop of him trailing the knife across from his collarbones down to the middle of his shirt. sticking out his tongue as slick stuck to the metal ball in the middle of it, lapping at his face as (name) cringed at the warm feeling of niragi’s spit mixed with the heat that filled his face. “you know better than to fuck with me..” niragi snarled, “it’s almost like you want me to kill you?” his fist collided with (name)’s face as he squirmed, dark eyes peered over him as nirgai bit his lip at the sight. the pervert was getting aroused at this.

he was too intoxicated at his movements, all of his undivided attention was focused on the screams that left (name)’s mouth as he deepened the knife into his thigh drawing blood. the door handled jiggled as it opened, a girl with long hair and bangs stood in the doorway, color left her face as she saw the scene infront of her. niragi snapped his head, sending a glare her way, “s-sorry…i-i-i’m so sorry! i didn’t see anything i promise!” she stammered closing her eyes shut and bowing her head as she left, slamming the door shut.

niragi clicked his tongue turning his head back as he smiled at the man under him, lightly bending his torso over to whisper in his ear, “there goes your savior.”

(name) was losing hope. all the pain he’s felt was bringing him to the edge, he wanted to end it all. nobody was going to save him, no one at the beach even gave him at a glance at all the agony he’s gone through. who was he going to tell all of this too? hatter, the drunkend sex obsessed lunatic? aguni, niragi’s own boss? fuck, no. they wouldn’t give two shits about how he was feeling. he needed someone more special, his own white knight or maybe even an angel, perhaps.

an angel like… ryōhei arisu.

arisu wasn’t like everyone else at the beach. he was smart, kind, caring, good-hearted, empathetic, handsome, he was the type of person who would risk his life if it meant protecting others. he was everything (name) needed. he never expressed any desires in hurting him, always protecting the other whenever they were paired up in a game together. with all of these sessions a friendship had started to build up with the two.

he was comfortable in expressing all his desires of wanting to go back to his old life, the yearning he had to see his friends and family again, even telling about him all the things niragi had done to him before he came. arisu listened to everything, never interrupting him or cutting him off, always giving him a hug or letting him cry into his shoulder as his hatred for niragi grew even more.

arisu had even opened up to him about losing his friends in a seven of hearts game. how they sacrificed themselves just so he could live on, a promise he intended to keep for as long as he was alive. (name) felt safe around him, always hanging around arisu and usagi as they gladly accepted him into their team.

arisu was his angel, while yuzuha usagi was his white knight.

usagi was just like arisu. kind, smart, beautiful, good-hearted, and protective, but unlike arisu, she was stronger. stronger than both of them, both physically and mentally. the type of person who worked independently, unless she was with someone she cared about and knew well. despite how she presented herself, she was still sensitive and emotional on the inside, especially with the grief she had of losing her father. she’d built up walls that she had never thought she’d be able to take down for anyone that wasn’t arisu. anyone that wasn’t (name).

ever since she found out what happened to him, she felt remorse for him. nobody should have to deal with all the misery he went through, nobody.

one day, during a game, she had teamed up with him. it was a spades game, something she was good at. during one of the rounds, (name) was attacked by another player while he was off guard, he tried to fight back but his strength wasn’t the best as his attacker easily overpowered him. usagi came out of nowhere, knocking the other player off of him as she delivered a blow to their face, over and over again. anger was all she felt at this person trying to to get rid of one of the only people she cared about. she didn’t care if this person was just trying to play the game and had the desire to survive like her. no, she wasn’t gonna let anybody take (name) from her.

lifting her bloody knuckles from the blow she gave, she stood up picking up (name)’s glasses that were knocked off him to return. that’s when she saw it. his shirt was ridden up as his chest heaved, eyes closed with messy hair and sweat wetting his skin. her face felt hot as she looked away, shaking her head to get rid of all the erotic thoughts that filled her subconscious. but what really caught her eyes were the pigmented lines that reached from his torso all the way to his waistband and dipped even lower than that.

his body was littered with all the affliction that she knew was forced onto him. her ears started ringing as all possible images of what could’ve happened to him flood to her. god, did she just wanna kill niragi.

“usagi… is that you?”

the calling of her name took her out of it, rushing to (name)’s side. “yeah it’s me.” she replied setting his glasses back onto his face, brushing a strand of hair away, “don’t worry, you’re safe now.” she cradled his face in her hands as they smiled at each other, (name) thanking her profusely before they went on to finish the rest of the game, not caring about the bloody corpse that was left behind.

yeah, safe.

the two made a deal between themselves, protect (name) no matter the cost. when (name) told them the thoughts he had conjured up of wanting to let go of himself, all arisu saw was him the day after the wolf and three lambs game.

lying on the street, filthy, dried blood and tears staining him. graphic memories of karube’s head exploding as his body flumped to the floor, his lit up cigarette rolling to arisu’s feet as he cried out into the air. nothing but his weeping could be heard throughout the building. he was begging for death, he wanted to be with karube and chōta again. not caring if he would be breaking the promise they had given him, he missed his brothers.

he doesn’t think he would still be here if usagi hadn’t saved him. but man, is he grateful she did. cause if she didn’t, he doesn’t think he’d have the gratitude of being with her or meeting (name). he made a promise that he’d never let anyone feel the same way he did after that. he definitely wouldn’t let (name) feel that way.

“you have us now,” arisu reassured him. the three were in (name)’s suite, he was sat on one of the twin beds as arisu and usagi were on the one across from him. tears streamed down (name)’s face as he turned his head up. the duo were looking at him with nothing but love in their eyes.

usagi nodded her head at this, standing up to move beside him, resting her hands on his shoulders, “i promise you’ll be safe as long as we stick together.” she said softly wiping the tears from his cheeks. arisu grabbed his right hand clasping it between both of his, “we’ll protect you and we’ll bring you back with us to the real world.”

(name) furrowed his brows, ripping his hand back (much to arisu’s dismay) as he looked between the both of them, “but hatter said only one person can go back to the real world? someone who has all the cards, and only he can have all of them, so how would you—“

“hatter is dead,” arisu responded coldly with no hint of hesitation in his voice. (name)’s breath hitched in his throat, eyes expanding, cranking his head to look at usagi. begging this to just be a joke. a joke where she would laugh the moment he looked at her. hatter was strong, reckless, but strong. surely one simple game couldn’t have ended it all for him, right? his eyes met hers as she nodded, her face was stoic, no sense of humor to be found on it. no. “he failed at one of his games. the game where everybody was celebrating his help to retrieve one of the playing cards,” she says rubbing her thumb against his cheek to soothe his nerves.

his pupils darted around the room at the conformation, stopping to connect with arisu’s, “so.. who runs the beach now?”

“we haven’t decided yet.” he replies, “me and the rest of the executives are gonna have a meeting about it tomorrow afternoon. my guess is kuzuryu. i mean, it’d make sense, he is second in line.”

nodding his head (name) spoke up again, “and the cards? how do you expect to get those?”

“chishiya.”

a laugh escaped him, “chishiya? the only person who works with him is kuina, how’d you get him to become your ally?”

“it’s a long story, really. it’s best we don’t get into it right now,” arisu responded, “he told me he has a plan for after the new beach leader gets chosen. and we were hoping you’d help us with it.”

(name) shook his head at the offer, this entire thing seemed sketchy. chishiya wasn’t the type of person who would just so easily let someone help with one of his schemes and hatter’s death, how would the new leader explain that to the citizens? there was definitely something going on that they didn’t know about.

“hey, listen,” arisu steered his attention away from his thoughts, “just like usagi said, you’ll be safe with us. if you’re worried about anything bad happening during tomorrow then you can just stay in my room. everybody will be busy in the lobby anyways—“

“no.”

usagi raised her brows at this, “no?” she repeated. “i wanna help.” (name) said grabbing arisu’s hands just like he had done to him a few seconds ago, “i don’t care anymore. i wanna go home. i wanna go back and maybe even have a life with the two of you.”

the duo smiled at the last sentence, having a life with him sounded nice. just the three of them, together. “yeah..” arisu whispered, if he was a cartoon character he would definitely have giant heart shaped eyes just by (name)’s actions, “okay, yeah! that sounds great, yeah!” he rapidly collected himself straightening his posture as he stood up, “well, it’s uh.. getting pretty late, i think we should all head to bed now. c’mon usagi, let’s go!”

usagi stiffled a smile at his awkwardness. he never really was good at being a romantic, “sweet dreams.” usagi said giving (name)’s shoulders one last rub before getting up and following arisu out of the room. (name) watched as they left, his stomach started to churn as he internally slapped himself, already regretting what he had just said to them.

what had he gotten himself into?

i was gonna write a lot more but i didn’t want the fic to end up being too long so i ended it right there. i have a lot of ideas that i wanna do with this, so i might expand on the story a little more. maybe or maybe not, we’ll see.
