Or a general chat where we talk about anything and everything. So even if you aren’t a fan of Nijiro it’s still a place where you can hang out and talk to people.
All genders and sexualities are welcome. Don’t be scared to join if you think that your english is bad - we will understand you!
Here’s the link! Come say hi. Start by writing something in # introduce-yourself and then you’ll get access to the whole server.

Discord server!!
Hi ( ^ω^ )
I, @chishiyaisasnack, and some other friends have had a discord server for a while now. It is a Nijirō Murakami server, but everyone is welcome to come hangout, even if that’s not your primary thing 🌸
We wanted to open it up for other people! We’ve recently added a specialised fanfic channel to it, so it made sense that I would advertise it on here ٩(๑❛ᴗ❛๑)۶ if you want a place to discuss fanfics, Alice in borderland, Nijirō Murakami, or just to have fun, please join!
Our only requirement is that you’re at least 18. It is meant to be a SFW server, but we still don’t feel comfortable having minors around. Especially now that we’re advertising it on tumblr blogs that have smut on them and inviting other (potentially smut) writers lmao. Every other rule is stated once you join the server ❤️
If you join, feel free to share your tumblr username in your introduction! That way we can maybe find our mutuals haha
Link:
I AM WORKING ON NEW FICS TOO! I’m just a bit stressed about my bachelor thesis atm, so I can’t get anything to sound right ( ; _ ; )

(Angst + no fluff)where nijiro been having affairs with other ladies cuz he meets a lot of people and reader found out abt it so they left him. now that reader is gone, nijiro doesn’t feel the same exciting feelings like before when he was with them, rather it’s bland.
it had been a few months since you left and nijiro couldn’t handle the aching pain in his heart any longer so he tried looking for the reader only to realize that they’re engaged to dori sakurada.
(hope its not too difficult 😭 ps: i love your nijiro fics sm)
Gone Too Far
Past!Nijirō Murakami x Reader, Dori Sakurada x Reader
warning: Cheated, Language, Angst? (i tried) @qyxzun
He fucked up from the moment where he fucked all those females to the moment you left him while he was begging you to stay using everything in his power for you to but you never looked back at him. A few months turned into 2 years where he was never the same without him trying to get a hole of you but you blocked him on everything he tried fucking other women but all he could think about was you.
He saw that he wasn't blocked on Instagram he clicked on your profile to DM you and shit until he realized something. He looked through your pictures to see there all with a guy Dori Sakurada he kept looking to see you were engaged to him. His eyes started to water as he realized he had gone too far and lost you.

Phyisical attributes
Faceclaim: Nijirō Murakami (actor) Height: 168 cm Hair color: Dyed Grey and/or Light Blonde Eye colour: Brown Outfit/Clothing style: combo of either black, white or grey Distinguised marks: mole under his left eye
Background
Place of Birth: Tokyo, Japan Raised: Tokyo (Age 0-Current) Current Residence: Borderland
Personality Positive Traits: Smart, hardworking Negative Traits: Dishonest, secretive, manipulative, scheming.
Biography
Chishiya was born as the only child of a upper-middle class family in Tokyo and his childhood was pretty normal. His father was focused on work while his mother had her own issues to deal with. In his early school days he had lots of friends, but as he grew older he became more and more focused on studying and his circle became smaller and smaller. He felt bothered by many because they simply wanted the smart kid to do their work for them.
At some point he got interested in medicine and he decided to become a doctor. It was easy for him to get into university and he was doing well and his passion for helping people grew. Something inside of him changed though as he found out that not everyone wanted to help all people like he wanted to do. Money is playing a huge role and even though he does understand that the hospital needs money he hates that it's on the back of patients with less money.

I just got back from Japan and I’m so happy I had the opportunity to see モダンかアナーキー the night before I left! I went into the movie because I knew Murakami Nijirō was in it but I walked out of the small theater absolutely floored. While I saw some reviews complaining online about how some of the audio is quiet or not balanced, and that the lighting can be a bit too dim at points, I think all these choices really added to the atmosphere of the film!
While I do know some Japanese, the movie honestly relied a lot more on physical acting than dialogue and the dialogue that did occur (for the most part) was either whispered or too quick for me to pick up. I will say that even without understanding most of the dialogue, all the actors knocked it out of the park, their physical performances (especially the eyes of Yumi Kawai and Kaneko Daichi which somehow managed to take my breath away with how expressive they were). The final scene of the movie was especially haunting and made my jaw drop, a brutal few minutes of aragaki played by murakami nijiro broken and bloodied after jumping off a overpass stumbling up the stairs to jump off again and take his life after failing the first time.
The entire film was Kinetic in a way hard to describe in words, the dark nighttime streets of Nerima and the cluttered apartments of disillusioned youth painting a realistic and addicting picture. The way the story plays out, cutting back between after Aragaki’s death and to the events leading up to it, while perhaps unconventional, was a brilliant decision and had me on the edge of my seat.
I reached out to the official twitter account to inquire if they would ever consider releasing it digitally or physically on a DVD but they unfortunately said that they have no plans for that. While I’m disappointed since my love for this movie is overwhelming and I’d love to just watch it over and over again, there is something special about only being able to/having watched it at a small theater late at night in a foreign country that makes my experience even more special.
I did buy the pamphlet that was available for purchase, and it is a wonderful insight into the directors thoughts both on the movie, actors, and how the movie came to be. I especially love the art, both the front cover art, the page art, and the small portraits of each character. The colored pencil texture/style really works well with the tone of the movie and the emotions it brings out.
Modern or anarchy has instantly become one of my favorite movies, and I can’t wait to see more from the director Daichi Sugimoto!

Short Thoughts: Alice in Borderland
When I read the little Netflix blurb, I knew the setting, I knew the tropes. And now at the end, there is still so much not to like. But I soared through the first season when it came out, and I finished this one as quickly as I started it. I think Alice in Borderland made just enough meaningful emotional contact to elevate themselves from the 'death game' genre.
[Some light spoilers]
More than anything, I think this show is a rarity in the genre because of how they portrayed rejection in most of the cast, how each of them was rejected by the world, and what they could or couldn't do in response. Some characters told you right away; others painted that picture over time. Combined with the show's built-in concept of escapism, there was a lot to relate to for a lot of people.
To me, 'death game' anime shows and games lean heavily on the glorification of every kind of violence and centering of stereotypes, with the concept of "this is not how it should be" or "this is not the real world" as poor arguments in defense. This show was weak in some of these areas.
I still have to think more about how they handled interactions involving sexual assault, which came up more than a handful of times across the two seasons. And they like their anime tropes: I think Murakami Nijirō as Chishiya handles them beautifully despite being responsible for most of the scoffs, smirks, and one-liners, but there are plenty of unnecessary moments, like a villain taking time to verbally ship the main characters. By the end, Niragi was ultimately unconvincing. Then, I'm curious how Heiya was written in the original material, because her character felt really crammed despite her being centered as the show went on. I didn't understand her having feelings for Aguni (and I could always do with less high schooler and older person vibes). The last criticism off the top of my head - there was just a little too much of Arisu having to do something to save someone or bail people out - Usagi feels too dependent through the second season compared to the first. The side characters were such ballers in this show and it was so close to being balanced.
And now the compliments.
Something I know I love is an acceleration of high density action and emotion at the end of a show. Usually the ball will be dropped somewhere as the pacing speeds up, but the last two episodes of the second season were really stunning.
The fight scene in episode 7 is one of my favorite fight scenes of all time. The untalented main character was not present. It honored what the characters were good at, but as time went on, fatigue funneled all their skill and passion into trading fists, running on fumes, balancing hopeful desperation and hopelessness unbelievably well. I absolutely did not expect this level of ferocity. My heart dropped several times. And then the idea that all the games in the show are hosted in designed spaces with rules and moderation, but that the apex fight of both seasons is close-range, in an alley, people just throwing themselves at each other - it just adds to the feeling of futile glory.
I really liked the flashback to Heiya and her friends walking out of school. I think they did Heiya's bow moments well. She didn't feel ineffectual or overpowered. I liked Chishiya's flashback at the Supreme Court. And I did like the last episode, and though I don't entirely agree with the concept they chose, this quote is still something:
Arisu: “So…what is this place anyway?”
Mira: “…You’ll soon find out. Of your two choices, no matter which you choose, you’ll know the answer. You’ll know what kind of person you are. You’ll know. Life is like a game. Enjoy it more.”
The Alice in Borderland OST I'm listening to right now: Your Smile.
It's been a ridiculous couple of months. I'm having a hard time fitting in, but the last two months have been better. I've watched a lot of stuff, but this is the first time in a while that I feel like I have enough time to let things stir in my head to write about it.
I hope you're doing well.

hello! i sincerely hope i word this ask right and i apologise in advance if anything sounds a bit odd, this is quite a wordy ask i think but i hope i convey everything fine! (i thank you greatly in advance if this ask makes it to you and you read all of the way through!)
i'm looking for some alternatives for timothee chalamet as i'm no longer comfortable using him as a fc for obvious reasons, though i am specifically looking for his vibes in bones & all! his fc isn't exactly timothee as i've just been using his likeness/vibes in that movie as inspiration but if there were any fcs i can use instead of the character being essentially faceless that would be so so so perfect for me! the character is in their 20s, they don't have to be the same ethnicity as timothee (i will of course change anything about the character as needed), and i don't mind a mixture of man or nonbinary fcs - i'm considering the idea of them being nonbinary if i can find an ideal fc!
i hope this was all worded okay for you! if you could please help me out, i would appreciate it so much. thank you for doing everything you do to simultaneously spread awareness about what's right and help out the rpc, your efforts never go unnoticed 🍉
