Forever in our hearts. On this day in 1967, Dominic Lucero was born! Of course we remember him as Bumlets in Newsies 1992 (that fan spin!) as well as Roundhouse on Nickelodeon after that (with fellow newsies Mark David, David Sidoni, & Ivan Dudynsky!)

Dominic was a talented dancer who worked with Michael Jackson, Paula Abdul, and more, including fellow newsie Kevin Stea

Happy birthday, Dominic! You are missed.

Saw these two links and instantly thought about both of them being grown up child stars

LOL, Bang Chan is definitely a former Nickelodeon kid star. I mean, he's basically still on a Nickelodeon show, a chaotic found family sitcom where he's raising 7 wild kids. I could see him getting his start on All That or Roundhouse (jfc i'm old)

That tweet got it right, Yeosang would be a Disney Channel star. He was the cute boy on some silly comedy that was the crush of every tween, and as he got older, he started branching out to be a little weirder in his roles, a little funnier, a little tougher (hence the biceps). He's Dylan Sprouse, basically. 💕

the first fandom I got involved in (like, engaging regularly with other fans and befriending them instead of daydreaming fanfic alone in my bedroom) was Newsies so by extension I also got into the Nickelodeon show Roundhouse which ran for 4 seasons from 1993-1996 but does not have any available rewatching options except for 2 episodes that were included on a VHS Snick compilation. Found some lady on Facebook who had managed to home record ALL the episodes and burned DVDs for people who wanted them. You bet your ass I have a stack of DVDs somewhere in storage of extremely fuzzy and static-filled sketch comedy with 30 year old jokes about Janet Jackson and Ed McMahon that as a millennial I only partially understood

Next up, favorite character from the following Nickelodeon live action originals from the early to mid 1990s: Are You Afraid of the Dark, Roundhouse, Weinerville, All That, The Secret World of Alex Mack, My Brother and Me, Space Cases, The Mystery Files of Shelby Woo, and Keenan & Kel?

So strike round house, weinerville, alex mack (I maybe saw it once), my brother and me, space cases and sheby woo.. so really... all but three shows.

Are You Afraid of the Dark?: I remember one episode had the rooms in a house being relableed while a kid was being stlaked by a clown. Haunted me for years. Don't have a faviorite character. It is a good show though, solid thrills for kids (again that bit I mentioned stuck with me), and probably better than the goosebumps show at kids horror.

All That: Superdude! It's how I learned lactose intolrenace is a thing. I have mixed feelings about this show after Quiet on the Set as while I knew dan Schinder wasn't great, I had no idea how horrible he was till that or at that early. Not to mention what he did to one of his writers. The show was my childhood and still has great sketches: vital information, superdude, good burger.. but it's hard not to think of these poor kids.

Kenan and Kel: Who loves Orange Soda/ Kel loves orange soda. it's why I loved orange soda as a kid. I did I did I diddddddd. But yeah Kel Mitchell was easily the goat: kenan was and still is a talented performer but was more the straight man here. Kel got all the catcphrases nad nonsense. A decent show if one I haven't revisited. And as usual for this period a dope as hell theme song. ahhh here it goes

And just to thin the herd ahead of time this time I haven't seen noah knows best, tania, Romeo! (remmber the theme songt hough), just for kicks, just jordan, supah ninjas, Marvin Marvin or any show from sam and kat on with the SOLE EXCEPTION of bella and the bulldogs and out of the drama section i've only seen animorphs. This is to make your life easier and, as I was shocked to find out, elmimate quite a few asks since I really havne't watched live actoin nick after a point. A combo of it not being easily avaliable and me just not being into it.
