• Once Rigel’s hand takes off from your eyes see that you were at beach and see a picnic set up in front of the sunset. You were surprised by this and you loved. He saw how much you loved and gave him much hope.

OK, hear me out: a BarclayPierce Au idea
@streets-in-paradise @losersclubisms @silvershewolf247 @cult-of-dollbabies @cornerofhell
Andy was always on edge about the idea of Chucky coming back. When Andy first sees news about a series of homicides in LA with Jennifer Tilly, the star of the new Chucky movie being a key witness, he does his best to ignore it. His mother had been released from the mental hospital a few years prior, and the last thing he wanted to risk was something happening to her again.
However, the thought is always there in the back of his head, and 4 years after the events of Seed, he began to give into his curiosity. After his research and looking into Tiffany Valentine, who appeared to be linked to Chucky not long after getting rid of him at the military academy.
That was when he decided to swallow his pride a little and ask Mike if he knew anymore. Mike and Karen had married a couple of years ago and Andy did his best to be civil but both men were aware of some underlying tension regarding circumstances after his 6th birthday.
Andy knew why Mike did it, he would have been considered mad too. So he had lied, knowing he could do more to help and hopefully get Karen released quicker, granted the plan took longer than any of them wanted but the betrayal had still stung.
It ended up working in Andy's favour when he went to ask Mike about what he knew regarding Chucky when he was human. Mike was keen to gain Andy's trust, to make amends for the hurt he caused. That's when Andy learnt of Sarah Pierce, the woman Chucky had obsessed over and kidnapped along with her young daughter after killing her husband. He told Andy how he found Charles that night and that out of anger he had stabbed Sarah in the stomach harming her unborn child in the process and when he had visited them after Andy's birthday, the baby had been born but they were unsure if the poor little girl would survive.
So after further research, he found out where the Pierce family lived now and decided to try and warn them. It couldn't hurt to try and explain. If Tiffany's body ended up dead, who's to say one of them wouldn't be next?
It was close to Christmas when Andy went to the Pierce house. This meant the entire family was there, Sarah, Barb, Ian and little 3 year old Alice, who was currently introducing 20 year old Nica to all of the toys she had brought with her.
Andy's attempt to talk to Sarah was extremely unsuccessful, with her telling him to leave the second he mentioned Mike's name followed by Barb slamming the door in his face.
Nica had heard the ordeal from the other room and entered soon enough to get a glimpse of the man at the door. Nica, being as observant as she was knew it must have been important. The only time she remembered her mother shutting down a conversation that quickly was when she would ask about her father as a child.
So she quickly made her way to the bathroom before opening the window, hoping to get the man's attention before he was too far away. She ended up being successful, and the two spoke briefly before agreeing to meet at a nearby café later in the week so he could properly explain himself.
Th night after that discussion, Nica secretly did her own research on Andy and came across an article from a few days after she was born and ultimately ended up with more questions than answers.
The meeting for all intents and purposes was successful even if it was a difficult discussion for both parties. Trusting someone he had just met with the truth he had been so well trained into concealing was tough for Andy but certainly not as tough as Nica finding out that her father's death was no accident and the rest of the story that came along with it.
After a few days coming to terms with what she now knew, Nica came to the conclusion not to tell her mother but to make sure to look out for her and protect her from any signs of the killer doll. She had exchanged numbers with Andy during the meeting at the café and the two quickly became friends, frequently calling and texting each other. It originally started with any updates to do with Chucky but quickly turned into conversation on anything and everything that came to mind, from Nica's adventures babysitting Alice to the chaos that would ensue when Andy and Kyle would go to Karen and Mike's for dinner.
2013 eventually came along, and with that, an unknown package addressed to Sarah Pierce. Nica first told herself not to panic. It was probably another one of her mother's online purchases. Until her mother dismissed the idea, claiming that she hadn't bought anything for 2 weeks, and the next thing Nica saw was the red hair as her mother lifted the doll from the box.
Nica quickly took the doll and box from her mother, telling her that she would call the company for her to find out where it came from. She went straight to her room, tied up the doll as best she could, and shut it in her closet, blocking the door just to be safe. Before immediately calling Andy, letting him know that his suspicions had been correct.
On the other end, Andy had already started packing to meet Nica and try to end this once and for all, with as few casualties as possible...

begin

. Viaje Exclusivo Nica Leaded has since become one of my best surprises, possibly because I finally got a chance to try this brand I have always seen around. The cigar is a Nicaraguan puro with flavors of chocolate, dried peach, toffee, cashews and coffee, making it a very nice and strong first acquaintance. . . . . #cigar #cigaraficionado #cigars #botl #potl #holysmoke #cigaroftheday #cigarlife #cigarfan #tobacconist #cigarphotography #topcigars #cigarlover #cigarians #cigarworld #cigarart #niceash #tabaco #puros #cigarpic #cigarsnob #smoking #cigarro #cigarreview #reseñadetabaco #viajecigars #nicaraguanpuro #viajeexclusivo https://www.instagram.com/p/B7_cmb-H7dg/?igshid=98hv7aljelhl

2019.
Tumblr media
2019 was a year of firsts and lasts.
Looking back, I realized it is one of those years wherein I got to experience A LOT of things.
During the first few months of 2019, I was on my last stretch of my thesis. I was taking up Design 10 at that time. I swear, taking individual thesis is HARD. Maybe some of you prefer to work on their thesis alone to prevent conflicts between members, or to avoid having to argue with a member regarding ideas, or if ever some are not helping in the group. Well actually, I prefer that too, sometimes. But as an Architecture student, individual thesis is draining ㅡ physically, emotionally and financially (lol, ngl).
Tumblr media
I cannot forget the day of our final defense. It was the most nerve-wracking experience for me because I have been always worrying about it because I am scared of speaking in front of others, but things happen …. and thesis, defended!
Tumblr media
To be very honest, there were times wherein I want to give up, but I’m thankful for my friends. We kept on cheering and motivating each other that WE CAN finish this. I cannot forget those times wherein we were staying in our house, doing our thesis (which was actually during holy week) and suddenly, one of us were crying! Like, out of nowhere, she was crying, and we saw it and of course, we knew why, and we all started breaking down too, as well. How I miss those times...
Tumblr media
We had our final defense on April 27 which was a Saturday and on the following day, April 28, I planned to meet my Inspirit friends to celebrate my defense and also to watch Avengers: Endgame. Luckily, a Sunggyu cup sleeve event is being held in Zoo Café at SM Megamall which is actually organized by one of our friends. So, we went there before and after watching Avengers. It was my first time attending a cup sleeve event here in the Philippines. I was actually wishing for more cup sleeve events, but little did I know that, that was the start… hahahahaha!
Tumblr media
Then, months after, came our graduation day! I can say, it is the highlight of everyone’s college life. You walk up the stage, shake hands with your institute dean, and then receive your diploma. It was 5-years’ worth of tears, laughter ㅡ it was a roller-coaster of emotions.
Tumblr media
Those past 5 years spent in college made me who I am today. I have learned how to be independent. I was staying in a dormitory since my first year of college until my last year. I learned how to budget my allowance well. Also, balancing my time between acads and fangirling. Hahaha!
Tumblr media
5 years is indeed a long time, but I am happy to have met such amazing people throughout my entire stay. I will surely miss each and everyone of them, but I know, and I believe, that we will all be successful in our chosen field.
Moving on, I started looking for job weeks after graduation while, some of my friends went back to their provinces to have a vacation first. In my case, I only had around 2-3 weeks of rest? And I used that time to catch up with One Piece and all the other series I had to postpone watching because of my thesis.
I swear, the waiting period after sending a resume to a company can make you go nuts. I mean, that is where your patience will be tested. I went to few interviews before I got in and started working around third week of August.
Tumblr media
Before the end of the third quarter, I went to #UPALLNIGHTinManila. It was my first concert for this year, 2019. We were upgraded to Floor from Balcony Center. That night ended with a hi-touch event! We got to high five all the members and it was indeed a memorable night for me.
Tumblr media
My second cup sleeve event for the year but, my first cup sleeve event for Day6! I actually thought I wouldn’t be able to attend this event because, Jae and my brother actually have the same birthday. So, I thought I’m spending the 15th of September at home but guess what? I made it to the event.
Tumblr media
I literally spent that weekend celebrating birthdays. My brother’s birthday is actually on a Sunday, but we celebrated it the night before and after that, I went straight to my friend’s house to also celebrate hers. Good thing my friend’s house is actually just around Quezon City, so I was actually close to the venue.
Tumblr media
Indeed, I had fun celebrating Jae’s birthday with my co-mydays! I wasn’t even expecting to be called in the raffle, but I went home with a Remember Us album! Hahaha! There were lots of freebies given on that day. We even met a new friend (finally, a sungjin stan haha), it was nice meeting new mutuals!
On to the last quarter of the year!
Tumblr media
My first X1 cup sleeve event, but my third one for this year! I went to this event with Siege and my cousin, Ate Anne. The venue was actually crowded! Well, it was a small one, but there were lots of Oneits gathering inside so, it was jampacked. But it was a fun day! I met and made new friends in that event. But to our surprise, most of the attendees were still in senior high and college hahaha! I feel so old (lol).
Tumblr media
Moving on, our squad planned a staycation on the last weekend of October. We rented out an Airbnb near SM North. We were lucky enough to find a beautiful one! It was like a hotel to be honest! Everything we can find inside is free! Even the coffee is from Starbucks and there is a French press available in the room. But the best part here was the large smart TV! We were playing MVs, reality shows non-stop!
Tumblr media Tumblr media
It was a tiring, but fun weekend spent with these people!
Tumblr media
We were sleep deprived because of the intense round of Jenga! We actually stayed up till morning because of the game hahaha! The game itself was so intense but we were more focused because our biases are on the line.
Tumblr media
Actually, we have planned this staycation way before an as far as I can remember, the only cup sleeve event we were supposed to attend was Yunseong’s, but I don’t know, this happened....
Tumblr media
I thought I wouldn't be able to attend Seunghyub’s cup sleeve event because I have prior schedule at that time and I thought it already ended but as we were walking in the mall, we came across a café and I saw the TV was playing N.Flying music videos so I wondered why then I realized that the event is being held there!
Tumblr media
On our last day of stay, we went out to attend Yunseong’s cup sleeve event happening on Flamingo Bloom at SM North. It was our first Woollimz cup sleeve event! Actually, this was the only event we were supposed to attend during our staycation, but we met a friend in the event and told us that there’s also an event happening at Lost Bread, still in SM North. It was an event for Eunsang and Wooseok. So, we went there after lunch then went back to Yunseong’s event.
Tumblr media
An addition to my list of firsts this year, I attended a christening for the first time! It was Lyle’s christening. I actually went as a proxy to my cousin, Ate Anne, which was not around the country at the time. Ate JL was the first one in our circle of friends to have a baby and we were happy that we were invited. It was also our first time that our group meet in Cavite hahaha!
Tumblr media
The four of us, together with Ate Dee, booked a place to stay for 3 days and 2 nights because we are actually going to have a reunion with our friend from Australia, Ate Nica! We spent the Friday night catching up while strolling around Araneta. On the following day, was DAY6’s concert.
Tumblr media
#DAY6GRAVITYinMNL
I can say, this is one of the highlights of my 2019? My second concert for this year, and my second time seeing DAY6! I don’t know, but what I felt from that night seems surreal. It felt like I have become more closer to DAY6 ㅡ a step closer than before. It’s like my relationship with DAY6 grows deeper and deeper each year.
As expected in a Day6 concert, it always exceeds your expectation! It became an unforgettable night especially to PH MyDays because JAE CRIED.
Tumblr media
“I don’t know about you, but I’m feeling 22!”
To conclude, this year was indeed a year of firsts and lasts. 2019 taught me lot of things. I am thankful to everyone I have met throughout the year. I will surely cherish all those moments spent with the people close to me. I can't wait to see were 2020 takes me!
Thank you, next!

May 29th-June 7th
Brace yourself, potential readers.  This is gonna be an extra long blog post, probably double the length of my last few ones.  I’ve been really busy these past 9 days, and as I’ve stated countless times, Nicaraguan WiFi just isn’t quite up to par with U.S. WiFi.  However, I’ve found some time this afternoon to venture to a new café that I recently discovered, and the connection here is pretty reliable!  So, without further ado, here is the story of my recent experiences in Granada, Nandaime, and San Juan Del Sur.
Last Monday marked the start of my second week of classes.  McKenna, Jack and I are in the same Spanish group, and our professor is Maria.  In addition to typical Spanish lessons (verb conjugations, tenses, vocabulary, etc.) Maria has been teaching us tons of Nicaraguan history.  While interesting, the stories have been pretty depressing; this country has experienced so much war and poverty within the past century, and not until the past 5 or 6 years has the government seen some stabilization and begun implementing policies for alleviating poverty, increasing education, and more.  The future seems bright - the country has become much safer and tourism has surged dramatically.  However, it seems like that future is still pretty far away.
Sometimes, all of the Spanish groups get together and have some kind of activity.  One day, our professors taught us all about the importance of corn in Nicaragua.  Las nicas (a nickname created by and for the Nicaraguan people) use corn to make pretty much everything: cheeses, breads, tortillas, even beverages.  For example, Tiste is a refreshing and chocolatey drink made with cacao, corn, and water.  Who would have thought that combining those things would make for a pretty good drink?  Los Nicaragüenses even have a widely known song that they sing to celebrate corn - “Somos Hijos Del Maiz.”  While this literally translates to “We Are Children of the Corn,” I’m pretty sure there’s no connection to that freaky scary movie with the same name.
On Friday, our EWH group split into two groups, one which went to Hospital Amistad Japón in Granada (named after Nicaragua’s friendship with Japan, which resulted in the creation of the hospital) and Hospital Primario Monte Caramelo in the city of Nandaime.  I went to the latter with Iyad, Alyssa, McKenna, Mackenzie, Nico, and Teja.  We spent the morning working on a spectrometer with a broken LCD screen.  Spectrometers are used to perform tests on blood, urine, and other fluids; apparently, one of the lights inside of the spectrometer wasn’t working, so it was sent to the repair center in Managua.  When it came back, it worked perfectly, but after a couple days, the LCD screen stopped turning on.  Our group troubleshooted the device by testing the fuse, the battery, and various electrical connections.  Everything appeared to be working normally, and the more we worked on it, the more confused we became.  However, the thing about this spectrometer is that it uses a lot of advanced computer technology, which isn’t really in our group’s range of things that we can fix.  We eventually deemed that there must have been a problem with one of the computer chips in the device (it could have been damaged in a way that we couldn’t see), so we left a note on the device explaining everything that we had done and our recommendation for contacting the manufacturer.  Not the most productive morning, but at least we saved the next group of technicians the trouble of checking a bunch of things.  During the afternoon, we worked on a broken infant incubator.  Without getting into the details, I’ll just say that this portion of the day was not so pretty.  We didn’t really speak with the hospital staff enough to obtain a full understanding of why the incubator wasn’t working, and unfortunately, our repair efforts may have done more harm than good.  It didn’t help that we were pressed for time, since this was just a one-day hospital trip rather than a what we’ll be doing next month.  We learned some valuable lessons and talked through them during the bus-ride back to Granada.  In addition to writing this blog, I’ve decided to keep a private journal where I can make note of these kinds of lessons/clinical needs/etc.
On Friday night, 11 out of the 14 of us left for San Juan Del Sur for the weekend.  San Juan Del Sur is a town in southern Nicaragua, right along the Pacific Ocean and not too far from the Nicaragua/Costa Rica border.  Mere words cannot describe how beautiful this little city is.  It’s nestled within a cove that’s carved into the mountains.  There are caves, private/uninhabited beaches, and even a 26-meter-high statue of Jesus Christ on a mountain overlooking the beach.  It felt like a smaller version of Rio de Janeiro in Brazil, and the vibrant restaurant, bar, and danceclub scene made it seem so even more.  We stayed in a big room in a hostel just steps away from the beach.  Sleeping in a bunch of bunk beds and sharing one bathroom felt like a major throwback to the summer camp days.  As soon as we had unpacked and settled in, we wandered onto the beach and dipped our toes in the sand.  We grabbed drinks at one of the many beach bars, which set the tone for the night.  We ended up at a fun club on the beach called Lost in Translation, or LiT for abbreviation purposes.  Whitney and I befriended a couple older ladies, and we all had tons of fun.  The next morning, we got up early, had breakfast at the hostel (which was literally $12 each night), and headed to the beach.  I had my first swim in the Pacific Ocean there, and I must say that the water felt pretty amazing!  I could go on and on about San Juan Del Sur, but since that’s probably not the best idea for my blog, I’ll just state the highlights: swimming in the really warm ocean, hiking up to the Jesus statue and gazing at the breathtaking views of the city, taking a boat out onto the ocean and swimming to a desolate yet beautiful beach, going out again on Saturday night and dancing the night away, and eating delicious fresh seafood for a a ridiculously cheap price ($19.95 for two appetizers, fish fillet, and a couple beers).  If anyone is considering vacationing to Central or South America, I highly recommend San Juan Del Sur.
We came back late on Sunday night, and I passed out pretty early.  However, before going to bed, I talked with two women who are staying in the same homestay as me and are traveling from Atlanta, Georgia.  Sue has a house in northern Nicaragua and works with an organization through her church called Amigos for Christ.  Her friend, Brandy, is accompanying her and has never been to Nicaragua before.  However, she has been to 45+ other countries and loves doing adventurous things like traveling and running marathons.  She and I ended up having a pretty long and deep conversation about tons of different topics.  She’s a super interesting person and I’m glad that I’ve met her.
It’s now Wednesday evening, and while nothing especially noteworthy this week has happened, I do want to spend a few moments talking more about our Medical Instrumentation class and lab.  I’m learning a lot from both classes, and I feel like I’ll be really prepared for Juigalpa next month.  Iyad has lectured us on topics such as motors, ventiladors, batteries, electrocardiograms, defibrillators, pumps, fetal heart monitoring systems, and more.  In our lab, Seth and I have built a flashlight, a variable power supply, we’ve discharged and charged a battery, and we’ve troubleshooted various types of medical equipment.  I’m really grateful to be having this opportunity this summer, and everyday I think about how excited I am to be entering a field where I can use my biomedical engineering skills to improve lives in Nicaragua and other places.  On Friday we’ll go to a hospital in Masaya, and I’m looking forward to seeing how that goes.
P.S.  I apologize for the lack of photos, I’m having a really hard time uploading them, even with this “reliable” WiFi.  More photos will come soon!

Feb-ibig
Okay. So before you start reading this blog entry, here’s a quick story. After celebrating Valentine’s the entire week (yes, I made it happen), I had chicken pox. *frowns* As of writing, I’m taking some time off of school to recuperate from this illness–perfect timing, the prelim has just begun (and so as this chicken pox). Disclaimer: I have zero idea on how I got this–no one from the fam or the squad had this skin disease recently. I’m starting to hate February for this apparent reason (getting sick); it never fails to ruin things. But looking on the brighter side of things, I got to spend this year’s V-Day with the one[s] I love!
I have planned this–my dream V-Day celeb–for a long time already and though some things didn’t turn out as planned, I’m glad with the way everything drove out in general. Damang dama ko ang simoy ng pag-ibig, mga bes! I enjoyed every single moment of the week and I feel privileged to have spent the Hearts Day sharing love with the best people in town. Plus, this year saw the light for my first ever (legit but not so legal) valentine date–though it wasn’t exactly a date. Tamis! Let’s just say that I celebrated love the way it is supposed to be rejoiced. But for now, it’s time for me to do a recap of how the previous week went. #HappyHeartsDay

Valentine Week 2017
Sunday
As soon as I reached the dorm, I prepared a little surprise for my girl: a special valentine greeting poem and a banner. I spent the rest of the night finishing the poem (though I finished it swiftly) and cutting out letters for me and my friend’s ‘HAPPY HEARTS DAY’ banner surprise to our two lovely girls. The good thing is that I have the materials that I need at the dorm–glue, colored papers, bond papers and a pair of scissors. I prepared the letter cuts and Gian inflated the heart shaped balloons. We have everything laid out that night and the only thing left to do is to execute the plan. #loverbois

Monday
It’s been a while since we (me and my girl) last visited Starbucks so we planned to grab coffee to start the week. We both came from our respective schools–the 2 Lasallian universities in Dasmariñas–and headed straight to meet each other and get our favorite flavors of frappe. I guess we both needed a breather from a long hard day in school. I enjoyed the night (even though we weren’t able to talk much and catch up). I was preparing for a report and a major exam for the following day as she was scanning through her notes. Handouts before hangouts as people say but why choose when you can have the best of both worlds?
Tumblr media
Tuesday
Prior to this week, she already informed me that she and her (single girl) friends will be going out on V-Day. I gave it a nod since I don’t want her to wait too long for me as she’ll be dismissed earlier than I’ll be. The plan is that we’ll meet at exactly 6PM at Walter Mart with no particular place to eat at. It is also the day when we are supposed to hand our valentine gifts to each other but a few days before, the Instagram account (from which I ordered my gift for her–a blue cap and a matching blue watch) informed me that they couldn’t ship/send the items to me yet because they don’t have them yet.
Since she’s out with her friends, I decided to join my friends to try Bittersweet–a café that some of our fellow COEd students manage. I wasn’t supposed to join them (as I’ll be having a dinner date with my girl) but I wouldn’t want to miss a food adventure. After class, we grabbed a jeepney ride and headed straight to Area G–where the café is located. Too bad, Rica, Jane, MJ and Rjhay weren’t able to make it. For the meriendate, majority of us had Tuna Pasta and Choco Kisses milk shake and we all shared a plate of nachos and a barkada serving of fries.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Everybody enjoyed the food and (believe it or not) none of us spent more than a hundred bucks. The food is great and the menu offers variety–though the serving size is a little reduced but my taste buds are still satisfied. The sizes of their drinks are named single, taken, complicated and barkada (from the smallest serving to the largest). The place is not that spacious but we managed to arrange ourselves on a long table. I am satisfied with my Bittersweet experience in general. *thumbs up* After we finished our meals, we had isaw and betamax on a nearby streetfood spot.
Tumblr media
I went back to the dorm to fix myself for my first ever (could-have-been) valentine dinner. She texted me around quarter to 7PM and told me that she’s on her way already. I rushed to reach Walter Mart and arrived 13 minutes late–not that punctual for an actual date. We decided to dine at Bon Chon (our common fave food place) but to our surprise, the place is too crowded–with people waiting both inside and outside. We were supposed to try the new seafood flavor Bibimbowl but apparently, there’s no vacant table left for us to dine in. It is unwise to have our orders taken out but we did in hopes of saving time.
Instead of having Bibimbowls (which we would appreciate more if we eat in the actual serving), we opted for 2 servings of Calamari. The crew told us that we will be waiting for 20 minutes to get our orders but we ended up waiting for almost an hour–partida, standing ovation pa kami n’yan. The waiting game is on and we took the time to catch up on each other’s ganaps. Instead of getting bored, I enjoyed waiting since I’m with my favorite person. I can still recall her saying, “Sana pala dito na lang tayo kumain kung ganto katagal din naman tayo maghihintay.” I bet she would laugh in case she’s reading this.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Since I’m chasing a curfew time, we went home with our take outs (told you, it wasn’t a date). I’m absolutely disappointed with how the night turned out–the gifts were delayed, waited for an hour to get our orders and ended up not eating together. I actually insisted that we eat instead given that it’s a special day (and I wouldn’t mind going back to the dorm past the curfew time) but she insisted that we should go home–since we’ve spent enough time together. We left the place not with satisfied tummies but with memories and good laughter. Tip: If you’re going on a date, make sure you set up an early one or have a table reservation. By the way, the banner and balloons surprise for our lovely girls was a success! Thanks a lot Gi! I owe you so much man.
Wednesday
We were supposed to see My Ex and Why’s (but she dislikes mainstream Filipino films) or Fifty Shades Darker (but she has already seen it) so planned to have a movie marathon on their place instead. Our friends Gian and Yna–our fellow Lasallian couple–set up the marathon and we all chipped in to have popcorn and nachos to complete the movie experience. We watched Holding the Man and Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children (the former is LGBT romance themed, the latter is a fantasy). My bad, I slept in between the 2 films so I didn’t understand any of the storyline. It always feels authentic when I’m with the 3 of them; plus, nachos and popcorn. *drools*
Thursday
Y’all know what it is: my friends and I planned to see Fifty Shades Darker on that day and as if fate is on our side, everything went according to plans. Praise the heavens! Apparently, my friends are sort of obsessed with the franchise and I feel their strong will (judging on their reactions when they saw the trailer) to see the film. Well, I’m a fan of film adaptations of novels in general and what could have been a naughtier way to celebrate love month than to hit the movie house with this flick? In short, we have anticipated Darker from the very beginning.
The hype is so real that to some extent, some of my friends even fabricated birth certificates to prove that everyone’s in the legal age–since Darker is R-18. Babala: Ang programang ito ay Rated SPG. There are a lot of ‘great things’ I supposed that happened during the day. 1. I recovered my ID from SWAFO. I lost my school ID (the jacket is already broken so it’s no wonder it got lost) that day when we attended a seminar at the Alumni Building. Good thing I was able to retrieve it from SWAFO right before we leave for Robinsons Dasmariñas.
2. The full show was moved to 3:50PM instead of half past 3PM (which gave us more time to fake birth certificates and get food). We grabbed snacks from 7Eleven; I had a butter flavored popcorn and a huge cup of Gulp–which I finished by myself. #nosharing 3. There is no traffic and the jeepney driver changed routes to shorten the ride. We left 30 minutes before the showing and we crossed our fingers for no traffic. Good thing the driver of the jeepney changed routes to get to the mall faster. After that, we ran–far beyond the stoplight to enter the mall to the last floor to reach the movie house.
4. The guard from the mall simply asked us about our ages and college level (he simply looked at our IDs without even asking for legal documents or proofs). Honestly, there are 3 of us who are not yet 18–Alpha, MJ and Faith.  Rica and Rjhay were not able to join us; T. Annie (Dairen’s best friend) and Leslie (MJ’s special someone) joined the pool. 5. We got inside the movie house just in time. When we entered the cinema, the film has just began and so we quickly looked for seats and placed in the 3rd row. I sat beside Nica and Tin. Our acquaintances Clarisse and Errol were also inside the cinema.
Tumblr media
I’m satisfied with the film in general–the story lines and the cinematography. Although I haven’t read the novel yet, it would have been a better experience to know what to expect (aside from what we saw in the trailer). FYI: The plot of the entire trilogy focuses on romance; not on the BDSM thing or the sexual encounters (though the love scenes are really noticeable). One thing I love about the film is that it featured a cohesive shift from the ‘sexual’ to ‘intimate’ relationship between Anastasia and Christian. I highly recommend this flick for lovers out there; perfect for the love month.
After seeing Darker, majority of us headed home straight but Nica, MJ, Leslie and I hopped to SM Dasmariñas which is just a few blocks away. The lovebirds (MJ and Leslie) will be dining there while Nica and I went to Imagine. I personally wanted to go to Imagine because I want to belt out my favorite songs on the karaoke (which I barely do; thank you to my blockmates–Ayah, MJ and Cyra–who went to Imagine that Monday for making me envy). Nica and I had an equal share of songs and this is my set list for that night:
·        Chandelier
·        You are My Song
·        Someday We’ll Know
·        Home
·        Alone
·        Baliw
·        If I Were a Boy
·        The Gift (duet with Nica)
·        Forever’s Not Enough
·        If We Fall in Love (duet with Nica)
Tumblr media
I’m not even kidding with the set list though most of the songs are very unlikely for me to sing–Chandelier, If I Were a Boy and Forever’s Not Enough). *laughs* I just want to know if I can still sing those songs. Nica sang Counting Stars, I’ll Be There, Somebody that I Used to Know, Born This Way, A Whole New World, etc. Next time, I’ll be doing more of band music and alternatives like Maroon 5, Coldplay and Paramore–medyo rock para mapaos–or maybe some throwback Chris Brown or Ne-Yo. #nexttime Unfortunately, they don’t have Secret Love Song yet–would’ve been a great jam if the song is there.
Before we went home, I dropped by Tokyo Tokyo to take out Ramen (insane cravings for Ramen; had two steaming bowls that day–one for brunch and another for dinner). That day is indeed tiring but I have seen a great film (Darker), I have great food (Ramen) and I’m with a great company–my college squad. I have 3 homeworks and a quiz the following day but fret not–Carpe Diem. I’m really glad that I was able to carry out everything I have planned that day–felt extremely blessed. Guess what, I’m starting to love Thursdays more than ever… again! #thankyouLord
Tumblr media
Friday
Another (tough and long) week at school has passed and the best way to end it is a street food fix: had calamares and my fave buko juice after class. After 2 weeks of indulging in calamares after class, I (think I) should stop this habit–for a.) it is not that healthy; b.) it’s about time to stop cheap thrills; c.) I’m bringing back the thrifty habits. Before I catch the bus ride home, I dropped by my girl’s place and shared a few bites off our favorite doughs. She did it again–she bought a box (a dozen) of our favorite donuts from Krispy Kreme.
Tumblr media
In fact, we had KK donuts twice that week because Gian and Yna also purchased a dozen of assorted doughs that Tuesday (which they shared with us). This time though, we had the box all by ourselves–though we have only consumed 4 of which. I helped her fix her things; she helped me sort mine. #dormergoals #rgoals As we packed our bags together, I asked her if we could meet the following day–I’ll finally received my valentine gift for her–so we can give our gifts to each other. Delightedly, she said yes without asking about details or whatevers.
Saturday
The Instagram account (from where I ordered my gifts for her) messaged me that Friday that they already handed the items to my friend Bea–a friend who resides in Manila and the one who picked up the gifts. I personally tapped Bea to contact the account and help me purchase the items since she’s in Manila (most of the time). She went home that Friday so we managed to meet the following day to give me the gift. So there, if you’re reading this, you’ll know where I bought my gifts for you and who conspired with me to get the items. *winks*
We met at SM Trece Martires–our new hide away as the mall is not crowded–and she arrived late (very unlikely of her to). Well, I was late when we met that Tuesday and it is just fair that she came late that time–quits lang. Oh girl, please don’t make me wait. When she arrived, she immediately handed me her gift and to my surprise (nasarprays ako literal), her gifts were the items next on my bucket list–the items that I would care to have but can’t at the moment. Thank you boo! I love your gifts! I handed her my gifts as well–quite nervous if she would like them or not.
Tumblr media
She has been eyeing the blue cap–which is from a merch store–and the blue watch on Instagram for some time now. Since she doesn’t have time to purchase them yet, I did the deeds and surprisingly, she liked my gifts. I won’t give a hint on the price of the items (shh lang muna; she gave me a pricey gift as well so secret na lang) because she also bought a quite expensive gift for me. She’s really eager to have the cap–which I would also love to have–and I made sure it comes with a watch (because she’s a big lover of watches; bought a blue one to match the color of the cap).
And all of a sudden, I had chicken pox–just the mere thought that I have this makes me want to throw up instead. *note sarcasm* So it goes a little like this, Cupid and Aphrodite made me feel all the love the entire week then sends me crashing back down to earth (after putting me on a cloud 9). But kidding aside, I don’t know what I did to contact and/or deserve this kind of sickness. The good thing is that this came after Valentine’s–I got to spend the Hearts Day the way it is supposed to. #atleast
The bad thing is that this came right at the beginning of the Prelim week so I had to take 5 special exams. Not to mention, I’ll be staying at home for the rest of the week and (sighs) no allowance. Sayang baon, mga beshy! I could have felt that Valentine hangover if not for this. *frowns* Di bale na. Looking on the positive side of things: I get to rest for some days; I have been enormously blessed the entire week; I have the love of my life with me–there’s nothing more that I could ask for. #blessed
Tumblr media
How about you, my dear readers? How did you spend the Hearts Day? By whatever means, I hope you all had an incredibly romantic and intimate celebration with the one[s] you love! Just a friendly reminder: You deserve to be loved. ❤
Till the next blog entry! Bry. x 022317
P.S. To the one who made this year’s Valentine’s extra special, thank you! I’m blessed to have you.
P.P.S. I didn’t publish this whole entry to brag; it is just my pleasure to share with you how it is to be me.

// Nica Puro Rosado from Alec Bradley is probably one of the most balanced products from the brand, mixing great flavors with a medium strength.
