Our great news of the week, at NewsMix, is that we have just added languages to our channels! We are very excited about this, because it means a lot for our users. Indeed, as we want anyone to be able to find news that are tailored to meet their needs and interests,  appeared as a major consideration.

If you visit our catalog, you will discover a new button on the right hand of the page, which allows you to filter the channels you are looking for by language. To do so, simply select the language you want, and then look for channels in the Search bar or by browsing through the categories, just like you can do in our app.

If you have created channels, we highly encourage you to click the "Edit" button, and then "Manage", to ensure that they are in the correct language. Other users who will find your channel will greatly appreciate this!

When you create new channels, the information box will automatically ask you to select the language for all your channels to come.

I've often wondered how Facebook "likes" actually help the consumer, other than when you "like" a page in order to receive some type of promotion. This new Facebook application by Sobees, NewsMix, puts your "liked" pages in magazine format so they are easier to read! I love this concept a lot better than traditional news feed mainly because there is more on one page without me scrolling down for a mile. However, I do with the ability for me to "unlike" a given page was a little easier. I didn't realize how many pages were in here that I don't actually remember "liking"! Time for some clean-up...

How to create a Mix

There are thousands of channels to which you can subscribe on NewsMix. However, to really have the content that you value, you can easily create your own mixes of news by following these five steps:

Click the + button which you can find both in the Home page or in the top ribbon.

Enter the title and description and main language of your mix, select a category and click “Create”.

Click on “Continue” to add sources to your list.

Enter the different sources that you want (Twitter users, Facebook pages, Pinterest users or boards, and Twitter lists)

Once your mix is ready, you can click on the “Done” button in the black ribbon.

You can change the sources and the settings of your mix at any time, by clicking the "Edit" button and selecting the options you want. All the settings are in the “Manage” section. When your changes are ready, click on the “Save Changes” button, and then “Done”.

One last thing: enjoy having the news that matter to you always a tap away.
