So originally the bottom image was gonna the the only art post for today, but a friend reminded me of Vandal Ezskar which was based to the League Vandal skin theme.  I haven’t drawn that design in YEARS so really wanted to do that for the real October theme for this week.  The bottom image is also League related and from a scrapped 2015 sketch, Reverse Ezskar. Pretty much Chompski had a bit too much fun on this theme. Ez is not amused.  I like this one still, but top image was great to get drawn.  Ez is a good punk.

So for October this year, I wanna draw my OCs dressed up as characters from shows, games, etc, that I enjoy or played. Starting out here’s Sparks dressed as Emizel from Disgaea 4. Always been a fan of that cool hoodie and Emizel was one of my fav units with FenFen inthe game.  Guess he could be called “Death Sparks” here.  Really had a blast on this one. Wanted to try stylized flames.

Something for the halloween month. I wanted to do a dress up icon over monster icon so went with Zane as Mediamon since it’s fitting to him and he would love that visor! Was close to using his wolf form so he would have the yellow fun as well, so stuck to his normal form. I didn’t know today was Appmon’s 4th anniversary, so  this is more fitting and a good happy accident.  Do have plans to do a more beast related thing with him later in the month once I get a good pose.

Another pic based to the Appmon Data Lab art with Kaz and Klint again.  This is something more of a bigger thing, but sadly this year has been very rough and making it hard to keep focus on it, sadly. Slow and steady on it still, but all plans I had pretty much are shot for the time being.  Hoping to be back on it in November.  Anyways, Kaz and Klint with a flower does make me smile and was a good suggestion.  Stay well all.

From a fun talk with a friend, here’s Gaozimon with a MechaTyramon (mametyramon mech) that he is very happy to get.  It’s really great at flinging trees, shoulder rushing and tail smacking.  Yes, it’s based to ride armors in the Mega Man X series tho I do get a Tron Bonne vibe from this too.  MameTyramon makes a good bot, honestly.

Drew Shoutmon for a big Shoutmon fan on Twitter cause they were a really nice person and I wanted to draw Shoutmon for awhile.  (Still not feeling it on gift arting, but fanarting like this was a loophole, kinda)

Neopets recently posted the mutant Vandagyre and just wanted to do my own take on it while keeping mostly true to the original design. Felt darker colors of the purple and green would have worked better.

Very low art week so did these in friday stream to try to get back into arting. Neopets this week (RIP Appmon art/crossover streak :C) and played with a random style here. Did semi-chibi Garven Hale of the Altador Cup’s Krawk Island team. He’s a cool team leader and a very cool Bori.  Also did Valin the Quick fromthe Thieves Guild. His updated look is so nice!

Trask: I demand to speak to your leader! Phin and Nix: *points at Sparks* Sparks: I’m the leader! Trask: ... Sketch from stream last night on pretty much how Sparks and Trask first meet. As you can see, they started off on the right foot and are great friends. :P Trask will never fully like Sparks.  After this meeting Cyan laughs, “Ha! He’s like some shonen protag, isn’t he?” as Trask rubs his forehead.

Some more Appmon colored sketches cause I haven’t draw much this week. Got some Entermon, Dokamon, Offmon, Tubumon and Drawmon! These were very fun to sketch.  I wanted to full body Entermon, but I need better refs. I honestly love all of Musimon’s evo line. They’re so good!  Drawmon is probs my fav of the non-main appmons. Tubumon is just silly for being the twitter app and I love it!

Another fun “Why not crossover my OCs to a thing I enjoy?” and so I wanted to make an appchip featuring Aero.  In normal setting Aero, is a cyber being that’s meant to be a digimon reference, so put two and two together and he would fit this little crossover idea. Den would probs have a more fun time hanging with Aero if he followed the buddy appmon rules. I had a blast on his appchip and I feel he would be a system type, tho tool type was an option too.  Included a smaller version of Aero on the appchip like the do in the show. That would be his base form there while his bigger version is the super level form.  Also, Aero’s arms were inspired from Eraseman/Killerman.exe from BN6, not Omega-xis cause I didn’t know the guy at that time.

Friends told me to just draw what makes me happy and honestly, Appmon has been my happiness as of late. Just really reminded me of my love for Digimon, greatly.  Mediamon has been a massive fav for me since he’s just everything I love rolled into one. (Spiked hair, cool visor, fluffy jacket, sharp teeth, glows, cool shoes, orange and blue clothes, positive personality and is sound based) here’s a fun doodle page with the cool guy. What a very fun character!  No Mediamon, no life!~

Decided to try one of the five entries in the Neopets Creation Week this year. The hero one caught my eye so I wanted to make a mutant neopet super hero and here we go! This is Thorn who is part of the Defenders of Neopia. He wants to show that mutant neopets can be heroes too. His mutation allows him to grow his spikes, fling and regenerate them quickly. He also uses his club tail to knock enemies down. He’s agile and loves to fist fight if it’s needed to take down a baddie.  He gave himself this hero name because he wants to be a Thorn in the side of evil.

Finally drew Gatchmon after fighting my brain to just draw anything this week.  He’s very fun to draw, but still harder to draw compared to Musimon and Dokamon, for me.  I wanna draw him again.  Honestly Gatchmon is my favorite MC digimon of all the seasons. I love his personality and he reminds me of a mole/digger due to one certain scene in the anime.

So after an old post on Twitter, I was reminded that Phin use to have a fin on his back. He had it as a kid, but there was a reason he lost it. Thing is, that reason was long scrapped and I just kept forgetting to add it back.  The reason was he use to have a robotic spine to be able to use the legs, so he lost it during that who thing. In the end, I didn’t want that extra logic in the long run.  This being added makes no real change since it’s still hidden under his “wet suit”, which he wears very often, but those times he doesn’t, there it is! Was more just to feel more complete and the green helps his red.  (very late post here cause my brain has not been the best and wasn’t in the mood)

Another for fun thing was drawing to the style of the Appmon Data lab skits at the end of each episode. Tried it with Kaz and his little bud, Klint for fun and I really enjoyed drawing and coloring this. I had to more to the actual scene(Kaz has a cracked screen phone),but I didn’t like it in the end, so scrapped it.  I love the Applab shorts for the words of wisdom since some are relatable.  Been very inspired from Appmon and it feels really nice.
