I'm sorry, but I have to disagree with you on your last ask.
"SJM did say she's excited to write Az's journey. But she's tricky with her words and just because she said "when you get to the end of SF I think you'll know who the next book is about and Az's journey is one I'm very excited to write about."
Because SJM is tricky with words, she could be telling us that Elain's book is next, she'll end up with Lucien and during their book she will continue laying crumbs for Az's journey as she's excited to begin the groundwork for his eventual book."
please... she is not THAT tricky. She also said multiple times Hunt and Bryce are mates, and that she wanted to change up her usual formula by making the first LI in CC to be the endgame, still many doubted her words and guess what? Hunt and Bryce are endgame, just as she said. Was she also tricky when she talked about Elucien being mates? Or is she not tricky with her words when it supports your narrative?...
And to be exact, this was the question from the interview you quoted:
"Will Azriel get his own book in the future?" to which Sarah answered: "I can't say anything officially right now... but when you get to the end of ACOSF I think you'll know who the next book is about... Azriel's journey is one I'm very excited to write about..." - mind you, the question wasn't about who's book is next, just if Azriel will get a book, ever. And her answer was this. She brought up the next book. How do you even interpret an answer like this as, "Elain's book is next"? Sorry, but it's not tricky at all, it's basic comprehension to assume Azriel's book is next based on her answer to the question. Also, even though the bonus takes place during solstice, bonus chapters are placed physically at the end of the book, no?? So...
Let's face it, Lucien and Elain had no major impact on the plot of acosf (they were barely present in the book actually), but Az was included heavily in the valkyrie training (along with a certain other redhead), and then now he's in CC3 too (in which Elucien were absent yet again). He's featured in two bonus chapters, one is from his own POV. Clearly, there is a lot of focus put on him right now, intentionally. From a marketing point of view, after all of this, another couple's book being next who are simply absent from the last two books makes no sense at all.
You really started to twisting everything to fit your own narrative, just as E/riels. :/
You're really quite aggressive over my thinking Elain is getting the next book.
Regardless of what your interpretation of that particular interview is, I've also got plenty of others that strongly suggest Elain was getting the book after Nesta.
"I've always wanted to write books about her sisters".
"I know who the first two spin-offs are about but I'm leaving the third open".
At one point the third was even possibly going to be a book set in the past and in a special edition of ACOFAS, she wrote about the research she had done for Elain's book. Not Az's.
"My initial plan for the spin-offs didn't change but the world expanded".
And you're silly to think that "from a marketing perspective Elain's absence in the crossover means she can't get the next book."
Was Chaol not absent in the book before TOD?
You're clearly only on the side of your narrative when you say Elain was absent in SF.
Did she and Nesta not have two big arguments?
Did Elain not volunteer to search for the Trove?
Did Feyre and Rhys not have a conversation about her getting her hands dirty in Feyre's bonus? How maybe she's only acted a certain way for fear of disappointing them?
Did Feyre not mention how she's got Az beat for secret keeping?
Did Amren not tell them not to underestimate her?
Did Nesta not take her wooden carving back to the HOW with her, staring at it after placing it near a figure of a Goddess, then end the series by placing it on her father's grave?
Nesta's arc could not have happened if Elain was by her side because Nesta needed to learn who she was outside of being Elain's protector but that doesn't mean Elain did not regularly come into her thoughts, with SJM using those moments to build her story (like Spring being made for her). That does not mean SJM didn't find ways of telling us exactly where her character is going and the fact that she's now ready for more or that she doesn't belong in the NC.
You are free to feel Az is next, I even admit I could be wrong about Elucien though I still feel strongly that they're a contender for the next book. But you claiming he's next as fact makes you no different than e/riels who claim their ship as fact.
And bonus chapters are placed at the end of the book because they don't want to interrupt the flow of the main characters pov..??
What is your point? It doesn't change where it falls on the timeline and the events that came after.
I'd be curious to know what major impact on the plot you feel Az had in SF outside of training the Valkyries because Cassian said Nesta wouldn't be ready for battle training for years. An ACOTAR book. Not a book from a different series that not every ACOTAR reader will read. Lucien was set up for more than Az what with him being stationed in Spring, commanding Cassian with a single word, the fact that his father now wants to ally with Koschei, that he was "setting his sights" across the continent.
Az...... sulked about not getting a bond? Played sidekick to Cassian? Yes he's training the Valkyries and will continue to do so but the main issues in the ACOTAR world at the end of SF were Koschei - Vassa's captor (Vassa, Lucien's roommate and the one Elain had visions of) , Beron - Lucien's "father", Spring - a Lucien plot and the treaty (I don't see Az treating for peace, do you?) and Elucien is more strongly connected to those things than Az. And yes, SJM admitted that Bryce and Hunt were mates because she wasn't keeping it a secret? And she openly spoke of Elucien as mates back before she signed on for the spin-offs and therefore was allowed to talk about the future of the characters? Those are not the same things as the announcment of the next book as the next book is supposed to be a surprise, otherwise it would have already been announced. She wouldn't have said, "and that's all I'm saying about that."

What do you think of the Gwynriels being too confident in their ship? Are you sure Az has feelings for Gwyn and is always looking for her and stuff? And what are they matte?
I have tried, really really tried, to see where they’re coming from. I’ve re read the books multiple times to ensure I’m not missing any context, I’ve looked at it through every angle possible and I still cannot fathom why they are so confident.
I have a couple of theories as to why they’re so confident and I’m feeling a little spicy today, so I’ll share. I could go in to heavy detail, but I’ll try keep it brief anon.
1. They hate Elain and so are looking for any other option. Literally anyone. G*yn happens to be in the bonus chapter and so they go with that, without really thinking about it* (I will circle back to this).
2. They blindly follow the word of one or two people online. They don’t like Elain, or they love L*cien (and they totally miss all the clues that say L*cien doesn’t actually want Elain but that’s a whole other can of worms) and so they accept other people’s interpretations - which those people very intentionally present as fact, and use them as a jumping off point, so when they go back to the books they have that other persons narrative in their head that far better suits their ideals and so they’re looking, twisting, turning any and all of the narrative to fit that. They are gaslighting themselves, basically.
3. They don’t re read the books and they don’t open themselves up to any other possibility. I can say for myself that before I started posting online about elriel, I had heard about G*riel after reading the books and re read them to be sure. I’m nearly positive a lot of them don’t do that, and either never re read or re read as per the second point.
As to the second part of this question, I don’t believe he’s got feelings for G*yn, nor do I think he’s always looking for her - so, I’m very sure of that. If you meant Elain, it’s pretty obviously laid out in the text, without SJM having Azriel and Elain say ‘I’M IN LOVE WITH HIM/HER AND I DONT CARE WHO KNOWS IT’ - because how does that make any sense when they haven’t had their book? If they had, I’d be less sure of their endgame.
As for the last part, I’m going to assume you’re asking if I think either G*yn or Elain are mated to Azriel. I do not believe G*yn is Azriels mate. At all. There are a few signs that Az & Elain could be, but it truly doesn’t matter to me if they are or not. I think SJM has been metaphorically winking at us with some of the things she’s said about them but it could go a number of ways, in terms of wether they’re mates or not.
One things for certain though - they’re endgame ❤️
* to circle back to them not really thinking about it, as I didn’t want to bog down the main text with this, they don’t seem to consider a number of different things.
They don’t consider that it’s a limited bonus chapter that was only available for one specific book store. It is not available in the copies of ACOSF you can buy now, nor was it available in a huge number of copies you could buy at its initial release.
They don’t seem to consider that if you remove the bonus chapter, we still have four books that include build up for them. It literally makes no odds as to wether the bonus matters or not. For them though? Most of their argument relies on that bonus chapter.
They don’t seem to consider any other reason as to why G would be in that bonus chapter. None whatsoever. The Elain part was explicitly romantic and if you look at G’s part there is no romanticism in sight. The ‘spark’ happened after a conversation with Clotho, not even when G was present. Almost like G didn’t actually have anything to do with it at all. If you connect the dots to the main text, at least for my interpretation, you have Elain & Az, who very clearly have feelings for one another. You have G, who has a powerful affect on Nesta, and Clotho who also has, to a smaller extent, a powerful affect on Nesta.
And those are just the few things off the top of my head that I have the bandwidth to come up with right now. ❤️

I think most people forget that that bonus chapter did not take place at the end of the book. so, with all these theories between the couples and azriel suddenly having a crush on gwyn? no. thats not it at all.
Hey anon 🫶
That’s such a great point that most people forget: The bonus takes place during solstice: After it we learn that Azriel is moody and aloof as well as Cass noticing tension between Az and Rhys all this ties in with -> Elain
Nothing from the “gwynriel” part of the bonus made it to SF. Not the necklace, session or shadows, that alone shows how irrelevant it all was.
Most importantly though, as you mentioned, Azriel doesn’t suddenly have a crush on Gwyn. There is nothing going on between them, hate to break it to antis but one off - page dagger session thats never brought up or mentioned again, Az looking at gwyn with encouragement isn’t enough to say he’s moved on from Elain and now has some feelings for Gwyn. Even vice versa. None of Gwyn’s interactions with her friends or Az tell us that she’s interested in Azriel.
Before Nessian’s book - their attraction and liking each other, had already been confirmed on page. Elriel follow this pattern. For feyre, it’s different as she had 3 books exploring two relationships but even then, before feysand we know Feyre is affected by Rhys and there’s something between them.
With gwynriel we get absolutely nothing. For a couple who has no foundation or previous buildup - Mass should’ve used any opportunity she got within SF to foreshadow gwynriel and show them liking each other the way she normally does with couples. If gwynriel were honestly going to become a thing, Sjm would have introduced gwyn way back in acowar/acofas. Since we know these are simple, straightforward romances focusing on one couple - what was the point of continuing to develop elriel, compare them and then show how they’re attracted to each other on page & confirmed in the bonus? Mass could have used moriel as a way for some drama? Or to show Azriels growth. Whats the point in building elriel up so much? Their last scene was a charged glance and then Nesta finding out Az liked Elain - how does that end elriel?
Where in SF do we see a clear shift that Azriel now wants Gwyn? Where is it clear and obvious (As mass said it would be) to us readers that there is something going on between gwynriel? Or that something could even potentially happen between them? Their last scene, correct me if im wrong - was Az going over details about some course to the group. We learn that Gwyn has gone back to the library- Mass could have slipped in Nesta saying how Az had gone to check on he, yet once agin we get absolutely nothing. There is no shift from elriel to gwynriel.
Its always been elriel from acowar onwards. The bonus doesn’t end elriel and start gwynriel.

Blog Introduction.
Marhaba, Salut, Hello.
My blog is mostly centered around the Maasverse.
I don't claim to know what it's like or what it takes to write a successful series, let alone multiple, and I never will.
These are my opinions, mostly based on the ACOTAR series, soon enough TOG (a much needed reread before I can give my solid opinion) and CC (whenever I get to actually reading it.)
Heavily centered tags: Anti Rhysand, Anti Feyre, Anti Feysand, Anti IC, Anti Nessian, Anti Cassian, Anti Amren, Anti Mor.
Pro Lucien, Pro Eris, Pro Tamlin, Pro Nesta, Pro Gwyn, Pro Emerie, Pro Tarquin, Pro Helion, Pro Thesan.
Neutral: Azriel, Elain, Vassa, Jurian, Kallias, Viviane, literally anyone else left.
▪︎Anti Rhysand: I can't stand the guy. Plain and simple.
▪︎Anti Feyre: I liked her in the first book, even a few chapters into AF, where that Feyre went, I'll never know.
▪︎Anti Feysand: The most obnoxious rulers in all of Prythian. It would've been fine if they had anything to back it up with, but they don't.
▪︎Anti IC: This one is obvious. They're more like an inbred cult than a found family.
▪︎Anti Nessian: I deluded myself that the bond is Made, and I stand by that.
▪︎Anti Cassian: He's the worst mate ever written by SJM, and that's saying something since she wrote Rhysand.
▪︎Anti Amren: I could tolerate her in AF, but she's completely unnecessary after WAR.
▪︎Anti Mor: Could've been a great character, failed her miserably in whatever it is she is now.
▪︎Pro Lucien: Why wouldn't I be? Easily the best written character in the series.
▪︎Pro Eris: Everything is not as it seems. Maybe I'll eat my words later on, maybe I won't. We'll see.
▪︎Pro Tamlin: This is a tricky one. I don't condone/encourage/find what he did okay pre-petty Feyre revenge. However, he's more than made up and paid for it.
▪︎Pro Nesta: I also don't condone her actions in the first few chapters of TAR, some of SF, but again, she's more than made up for it.
▪︎Pro Gwyn, Emerie, Tarquin, Helion, Thesan: Obvious reasons.
▪︎Azriel: He's there, I guess. I'm disappointed with the way he was written, but yk. Waiting for his book to make up my mind.
▪︎Elain: She's also there. Idk. From what I did see of her in the books, she's alright. Hated her for not standing up for Nesta, but I'm over it.
▪︎Kallias and Viviane: I loved their story, at least the bits that we saw. However, I'll forever judge them for not hounding Rhysand about the 'other' Daemati's name. I'll keep believing he did it until anon Daemati's head is brought and shown.
▪︎Vassa, Jurian: Gave Lucien a place in the band of Exiles. Nothing more needs to be said.
I'm team Elucien all the way.
Iffy about if Gwynriel will happen, but I would love to see them together.
If these are not your things, it's totally your choice. Feel free to leave, or if you want to debate, I'm all for it as long as neither if us try to convince the other of something and try to shove it down the other's throat.
I do post other things, or I'm going to, mostly book reviews based on these genres: Romantasy, Fantasy, Mystery, YA, Dark Romance.
Also, English isn't my first or second language. If I make grammar/vocabulary mistakes, this is my sorry in advance.
Okay, I think that's it.
Byeeee.

Prompt if you’re willing- gwynriel or elucien role play? Or nessian honestly but I feel like everyone asks you for nessian
this is literally 2 years late but I found this prompt buried in my inbox and it spoke to me so hope you see and enjoy this wherever you are, anon!
accepting kinktober prompts all month long 🥰
Nesta shifted in her seat at the hotel bar, fighting the urge to look around to see if her husband was in the room yet. Between blow drying her hair, spending over an hour on her makeup, and pulling on a tight red dress, she’d gone all out for the evening, and she couldn’t wait to see Cassian’s reaction.
There was never a dull moment being married to Cassian, but even they liked to spice things up from time to time. It had been her turn to suggest something, and after some thorough research — mostly via her Kindle Unlimited subscription — this was what she’d settled on.
They’d role played before, of course, but only in the confines of their home. Even though they wouldn’t be doing anything too scandalous in public, the thrill of doing something dirty still had Nesta pressing her thighs together as she tried to stay patient.
“This seat taken?”
Finally. Nesta turned at the sound of Cassian’s voice, biting back her smile so she could make a big show of eyeing him up and down. He looked absolutely delicious in an all-black ensemble, the first few buttons of his shirt open to reveal just a hint of his tattoos, and she almost called the whole thing off right there.
She didn’t, though. This was her idea, and she was going to see it through even if it had her cursing at her past self.
“I guess not,” Nesta eventually answered, aiming for nonchalant. It was hard to treat him like a stranger, but for the sake of the game, she’d have to do her best.
Cassian slid into the seat next to her gracefully, already motioning for the bartender’s attention. “Someone as gorgeous as you should never drink alone.”
“Is that so?” she replied, turning to look at him with a raised eyebrow.
“It is,” he told her. When the bartender came, he ordered two more of whatever the lady was drinking before turning back to her with a smirk. “So. You come here often?”
“I’m here for a work trip,” she lied, reaching for her drink so she could trace the rim of the glass.
“All by yourself?” he asked with a nod toward her wedding ring — the one that they’d picked out together. “If I were your husband, I wouldn’t let you out of my sight.”
Nesta just smiled and tilted her head toward his matching wedding band. “Does your wife feel the same way?”
“You’d have to ask her,” Cassian replied, unable to stop himself from matching her furtive little smile.
“Something tells me that wouldn’t be a good idea,” she said as she turned to face him more fully.
“And why’s that?” he said back, leaning into her space ever so slightly. He was even more beautiful up close, from the scar slashing through his right eyebrow to the way his eyes looked even greener than usual under the bar lighting, and she wanted to kiss him so bad it was making her a little crazy.
“I don’t even know your name,” she replied. It was hard to keep playing along, especially with him looking at her like that, but she had to try. “It would be hard to look you up without it.”
“Cassian,” he answered, pretending to introduce himself with a touch of laughter in his eyes. “What’s yours?”
“Nesta,” she told him.
“Nesta,” he repeated, the shape of her name falling from his lips doing things to her even though she’d heard it a thousand times before. “I like that.”
The bartender came back with their fresh drinks then, and Nesta and Cassian continued to make small talk and pretend like they didn’t know each other. At one point, he settled one of his large hands across the bare skin of her thigh, and she knew it wouldn’t be much longer before they’d be making their way to the room she’d rented for the night.
“I hate to cut this short, but…” Nesta trailed off with a dramatic sigh. “I have an early flight to catch.”
“What a shame,” Cassian replied, but he didn’t move his hand off her thigh.
“It is,” she agreed. She reached for the small purse she’d brought with her and pretended to reach for her wallet, looking up with faux-surprise when he made a displeased noise.
“Don’t worry about it,” he told her. “It’s on my tab.”
“Thank you,” she responded, letting go of the credit card she knew she wouldn’t have to use. She stood from her bar stool and leaned in close, brushing aside some of his curls so she could murmur in his ear. “If your wife won’t mind, I’m in room 526.”
Before Cassian could respond, Nesta pulled away and walked confidently toward the elevator. She didn’t look back at him until she’d gotten on and pressed the button for her floor, his eyes on her setting her body aflame until the doors closed and severed the connection.
As the elevator whisked her up to the fifth floor, Nesta blinked and forced herself to focus. She had a job to do, and she fully intended on finishing what she’d started.
Cassian wouldn’t know what hit him.
Once she made it up to the suite, Nesta figured she had at least ten minutes while he settled the tab and found the room, so she didn’t waste any time. She’d thought ahead and packed a small overnight bag, and she quickly rummaged through it before pulling out the red lingerie set she’d bought for the occasion and headed into the bathroom. From there, it took a second to get out of her dress and into all the lace, but she moved as fast as she could without tearing anything.
Nesta studied her reflection in the mirror for a few moments, more than pleased at the way everything looked on her. She had just enough time to fluff out her hair before there was a knock at the door, and she couldn’t stop her smile as she put on one of the hotel’s robes so she could go answer it.
Nesta had barely opened the door before Cassian was on her, crushing his mouth to hers and walking her backwards toward the king-sized bed without missing a beat. “Cassian—”
“You look so fucking beautiful,” Cassian said against her lips. Distantly, Nesta heard the sound of the door closing behind them, but she was far more preoccupied with not tripping over her own feet. “You don’t know what you do to me, sweetheart.”
“Yeah?” Nesta said back, letting herself fall backwards once she hit the edge of the bed. “Show me.”
Nesta hadn’t tied the robe very tightly, and it fell open once her back hit the mattress. Cassian gaped at the sight of her, his eyes roaming over her hungrily like he couldn’t quite decide where to look, before he eventually settled back on her face.
“Your husband’s a lucky man,” Cassian eventually told her, still gaping a little. “Jesus, Nesta.”
“You like it?” Nesta asked. He reached out and reverently traced the curve of her waist, and she couldn’t help but arch into his touch. “I bought it just for my trip.”
“Bringing lingerie on a business trip?” he asked, smirking down at her. “What will your husband think?”
“I don’t know,” she replied teasingly. As much as she liked the view, she wanted him closer, and she reached up to grab him by the shirt and pull him down with her. “If only he were here to see it.”
“If only,” he repeated, letting her pull him down so their lips could meet again. She moaned at the feel of his tongue in her mouth and wrapped her legs around his waist. “Maybe we should take some pictures. Show him what he’s missing.”
Nesta inhaled sharply at the idea. They’d talked about taking photos before, had even floated the idea of making a sex tape, but this was making it real. “How can I trust you won’t keep any for yourself?”
“A gentleman doesn’t kiss and tell,” Cassian replied, leaning in to kiss her again. He rocked his hips into hers at the same tempo that his tongue slid against hers as a promise of what was to come. “But if it makes you feel better… I’ll even take it on your phone. So you can send them to him, really make him miss you.”
Nesta was nodding before he was even finished speaking, her token resistance up in smoke at Cassian’s suggestion. He kissed her one last time before moving to grab her phone off the nightstand, momentarily shattering the illusion of them being strangers as he typed in her passcode without asking, and then he was back between her legs where he belonged.
“There’s a good girl,” he murmured, moving her any which way that he thought looked good. The robe came off quickly after the first few photos, leaving nothing for her to hide behind even if she’d wanted to. “So perfect for me.”
Eventually Cassian rolled Nesta onto her stomach, and she arched her back just the way he liked it out of habit. She heard the fake shutter noise one last time as he grabbed a handful of her ass, and then came the sound of her phone landing somewhere on the mattress.
“I think that’s enough photos for now,” Cassian announced. She heard the sound of something hitting the ground and half wondered what he was going to do next.
“If you say s—” Nesta cut herself off with a shocked moan, completely caught off guard at the feeling of Cassian pulling her panties to the side and licking a wide path across her center. “Cassian!”
“You taste even better than I imagined,” Cassian replied, groaning. The sound she’d heard earlier must have been him sinking to his knees, and the idea of what he must have looked like behind her only made her hotter with want. “Been thinking about this all fucking night.”
Nesta reached for the nearest pillow and held on for dear life, spreading her thighs as wide as she could to give Cassian more room. He kissed, licked, and sucked at her clit like his life depended on it, and it didn’t take long before the room was filled with the sound of her moans and whimpers.
“Fuck, fuck, don’t stop,” Nesta begged, rocking her hips backward into his mouth. “I’m so close.”
Cassian didn’t dare change a thing, and with a final rock of her hips, Nesta’s orgasm hit her hard. She cried out a mix of curses and Cassian’s name as pleasure washed over her in waves, and he didn’t stop until the last of her aftershocks rolled through her.
“That was the hottest thing I’ve ever seen in my life,” Cassian said from behind her.
Nesta flipped over onto her stomach and sat up so she could look at him properly. He looked so gorgeous in the low lighting of the room, but he was still far too put together for her liking. She wanted to rough him up, make him lose his composure the way only she could. “Take off your clothes already. You’re so overdressed.”
“Yes ma’am,” he replied, leaning on the bed to help him get to his feet. He started unbuttoning his shirt while she worked on his pants, and within moments he was gloriously naked in front of her. “Like what you see?”
“Yeah,” she answered, making a big show of checking him out from head to toe. She made an even bigger show once she got to his cock, biting her lip as she reached out to trail a finger down his shaft. “Are you sure it’ll fit?”
“Only one way to find out,” he told her with a wink. He stepped out of his shoes and kicked everything out of the way so he could climb onto the bed. “But I have a good feeling.”
Nesta moved to the center of the bed and let Cassian peel her out of her lingerie, thoroughly enjoying the feel of his hands on her without anything separating them. Now that they were both completely naked, she knew it wouldn’t be much longer until the main event, and she couldn’t hold back her shiver in anticipation.
Cassian of course noticed, being the observant man he was. He settled between her legs with a knowing grin, rubbing his cock against her still-sensitive clit just to be a tease.
“Don’t tease,” Nesta said, fixing him with a warning glare. “We don’t have all night.”
“Wouldn’t want you to miss your flight,” Cassian said back with a low chuckle. “Just relax, sweetheart. I’ve got you.”
Nesta didn’t have time to think of a retort before he was slowly thrusting inside her, both of them gasping at how good it felt. She’d had him so many times that she should’ve been used to it by now, but the way their bodies fit perfectly together never stopped surprising her.
She didn’t think it ever would.
“How do you want it?” Cassian asked, like he didn’t know all the ways to drive her wild.
“Hard,” Nesta answered. She wrapped a leg around his waist to pull him in closer, her breath hitching a little as it shifted the angle of his cock inside her. “And fast.”
“Whatever you want,” he replied, a little too sincerely for the roles they were supposed to be playing. She didn’t mind, though. It was just one of the many reasons she was head over heels for him. “Hold onto me, sweetheart.”
Cassian started out with a steady pace, warming things up before he really started fucking Nesta through the mattress the way she’d been craving. In response, she reached up to plunge a hand into his curls, finally getting the soft strands underneath her fingers. She knew how much he liked getting his hair pulled, and who was she to deny him the simple things in life?
“God, that feels good,” he groaned, tilting his head to create more pressure against his scalp. She tightened her hold on him and was rewarded with another groan and a faster tempo. “The things you fucking do to me.”
“Tell me,” she breathed. “Please.”
“The way you take my cock,” he answered, really starting to give it to her now, “like you were fucking made for it. Drives me insane.”
“Makes me insane,” she told him, moaning as she finally got what she wanted. She had to wrap her other leg around him so she didn’t go flying and the slight shift in angle made her cry out. “God, Cassian, harder—”
“Yeah?” he grunted. The sound of their bodies slapping together was so loud she half-wondered if their potential neighbors could hear them. “You like that?”
Nesta couldn’t help but moan again. “Yes, yes, I love it, you feel so good…”
Cassian surged forward for a kiss, open-mouthed and filthy and probably smearing whatever was left of her makeup. Nesta moaned right into his mouth as he let most of his weight settle on her, just enough to make her feel how much larger than her he was without crushing her.
They were pressed so close together Cassian was hardly thrusting in and out anymore, just grinding in deep enough for them to both feel it. It was the perfect amount of pressure for Nesta, and she arched her hips into it so she could chase down a second orgasm.
“Love when you get this wet for me,” Cassian groaned into Nesta’s ear. “Feels so fucking good.”
“Fuck,” Nesta whined, high and desperate and exactly where she knew he wanted her. “Don’t stop, don’t you dare fucking stop.”
“Yeah?” he panted. He let her pull him into another long kiss, breaking apart only to keep using that filthy mouth of his in other ways. “Gonna come on my cock?”
“Yeah,” she repeated, just as out of breath as he was. “God, please, Cassian—”
“Love you so much,” Cassian groaned, and damn her romantic side, because that was enough to finally make her come again.
Nesta clenched hard around Cassian as she came with a shriek, pushing him over the edge right alongside her. He squeezed her tight as he came, the two of them shaking apart at the same time like something out of her smutty books, and she loved him so much that she wished she could live in this moment forever.
“That was such a good idea, sweetheart,” Cassian said once they’d both caught their breath. They’d rolled over to the clean side of the bed to enjoy the afterglow in each other’s arms, though knowing them, it wouldn’t stay that way for long.
“It was, wasn’t it?” Nesta said back, pleased that everything had gone so well. It always did when Cassian was involved, but she’d worried anyway. “I’m glad you liked it.”
“Like isn’t strong enough of a word,” he told her with a grin. “I fucking loved it.”
“Good to know,” she replied, matching his grin as she leaned in for a quick peck. “Maybe next time you can pick the scenario.”
Cassian’s eyes darkened with intent. “Don’t worry, Nes. I have plenty of ideas.”

Whats your ship? gwynriel/elucien 🥰
When was the moment you shipped them?
What are your top 3 reasons why you ship them?
What is one thing you'd love to see in their book?
Hi anon!
I absolutely love this ask. 🫶
1) What's your ship?
I would definitely say I ship both, but I am mostly an elucien shipper. I just love Lucien so much and think he would be an amazing romantic lead. I think Elain has a lot of potential to be a great pov.
When it comes to gwynriel, I love Gwyn's character. We've only had one book so far with her, so I need to know more. Azriel, tho... I have many conflicting thoughts about him, haha. I just don't know much about him, so in order not to project my own bs on him, I can't claim him as my favorite yet. The most we had of his character was in the bonus chapter and some people might hate him for it and criticize his kinda toxic way of thinking, but I have to be honest, I thought it was perfectly aligned with his character and what I thought about him before I read it. I love that he's not a perfect guy. He is disturbed and dark and needs a lot of healing. And that's what i like. The potential of it all.
I also think elucien is my preferred ship because... I like it when men lead the romance and woo their partners. Sue me, lol. I already know that Lucien is charming but full of self-esteem issues and doubt. And I'm sure I will thoroughly enjoy him being down bad (in a romantic angsty way) for Elain.
2) When was the moment you shipped them?
For Elucien, it was just before Elain was dropped into the Cauldron. The tension was already there for me when Lucien behaved the way he did and when Elain looked at him.
With Gwynriel, tbh when they first saw each other during the training. I just never felt anything from E/riel. I always thought they were so obviously boring and lacking chemistry. Sorry. And I love the "like calls to like" rule of Sjm's world. They never gave me that, so when I saw someone new in Azriel's periphery, I was hooked. And then we got the ribbon scene, and I was sure they were endgame. No bonus chapter needed.
3) What are your top 3 reasons you ship them?
For both of these ships my 1st answer would be
✨️it's all about the potential✨️
Elucien is the perfect romance for me. The reluctance on Elain's part and the fact that she's still such an enigma only makes it sweeter. When we get her POV, it will feel like such a reward.
I love the compatibility of these two pairings. I love that they can make each other into the best versions of themselves.
Elucien also has this amazing thing of being undervalued and looked over. Nobody realizes their potential for greatness. They can discover their powers t o g e t h e r, at the same time. They are truly equals in that sense. Lucien with his Day Court powers, and Elain with her whole seer thing. They are both extremely loyal. They look for the good in people others deem worthless or irredeemable.
They just fit each other like the enchanted glove fits Elain's hand.
Gwynriel is all about finding your worth and seeing the light in your own darkness. The religious vibes and singing are just a cherry on top of that.
Are these 3 reasons? I have no idea, I can't count these jumbled thoughts, sorry.
4) What is one thing you would love to see in their books?
Elucien = Elain realizing she loves everything about Lucien despite the bond, SLOW BURN, yearning. Very heated moments, meaningful looks, and a chance to see Lucien being a badass and standing up for her.
Gwynriel = Azriel healing, him fixing his approach to beautiful women lol, friends to lovers, BANTER, Gwyn being confident and smooth af, Azriel being flustered and out of his depth.
Thank you, Anon! Sorry for yapping this much. I would yap more, but I doubt anyone would read it.

idk if your request is still open but i’ll try my luck 😭
could you please do a gwynriel angst where they have to attend a friend’s wedding party and their friends didn’t know they have broken up and they were forced into a seven minutes in heaven game but instead of what their friends have expected, the seven minutes turned out to be tears and heartbreak
i’m feeling kinda sad rn and this idea suddenly popped into my head. If you couldn’t do it, totally fine
Hi anon!! My request is always open so please feel free to send me any suggestion you might have.
Thank you so so much for having sent this one. It made me cry a bit ngl 😂 I hope you like it 🤭
Gwynriel - 1.8k - No warning - Angst only

Love is a losing game
Some said better to love and lose than to have never known love. Right now, Gwyn wished she had never known love at all. As she watched the two newlyweds dressed in lace and silks whiter than the roses that filled the small garden, their eyes sparkling with happiness and love, their laughs rising above that of the small party who had gathered to celebrate this new step in their life, Gwyn saw what she would never have. And she wished, more than anything, that she had never known what being in love felt like.
Her own bridesmaid outfit was a mockery of it. The ivory dress that Emerie had wanted her chosen sisters to wear when walking her down the aisle had seemed to laugh at Gwyn with every step she had made, blue bouquet in hand, towards the alter. It was all a cruel, sick joke and she hated it. Hated herself for having so stupidly walked into it.
“Hey,” Nesta’s gentle voice broke through her thoughts.
Gwyn turned to look at sister, blinking away the tears of anger that had started to fill her eyes. Nesta narrowed her eyes inquisitively. “Are you okay?”
No.
“I am,” she offered Nesta one the fakest smile she had ever forced onto her face. Gwyn shrugged at her sister’s silent insistence. “I’m just so happy for them.”
Nesta laughed and picked up her crystal glass. “You’ve always been the most romantic of the three of us,” she said, referring to Gwyn, Emerie and herself. Emerie and Nesta. The only true loves of her life besides her twin and her mother.
“And the funniest,” Gwyn added with none of the joy that usually accompanied her sass.
“And the sweetest and the smartest,” Emerie chimed in across from them, fingers entwined in her new wife’s.
Nesta hummed her approval. Gwyn wondered how long it would take for them to notice the walls she had built around herself to hide her misery. She hoped that the cracks forming in this wall as she watched everyone’s happy faces would not make the whole thing crumble before she could get far away from them.
An eruption of voices caused another crack to form. It got worse when Cassian’s boisterous voice called her name on the other side of Nesta, along with another.
“Gwyn and Azriel. It’s time to find out the truth.”
Gwyn tensed and blurted a, “What?”
She felt a wave of panic rising. Gwyn internally added more bricks to her wall. She slammed her hands against the cracks even as more tears threatened to bring it all down. She couldn’t be weak. Not now. Not in front of him. Not ever.
Not now. Please. Please.
“We need to find out if you two can spend seven minutes in heaven and keep things clean,” Rhysand explained across from Cassian, no doubt mistaking her dread for confusion. His words settled in Gwyn before she could sigh at the fact that no one had yet learned the real truth.
Only then, hours after having stepped foot here, did she look at him for more than a second. His hazel eyes were already on her. Gwyn refused to read any emotion in them. She could not bear anymore lies from him.
“Come on Gwynnie,” Cassian went on. “We already placed the bets. And I know I will win because Az hasn’t stopped looking at you.”
Feyre giggled next to Rhys. “That’s nothing new Cass.”
“I know but it’s different today. His stare has been...,” Cassian placed a finger on his chin as though he was looking for the perfect word. “...harder,” he finally added with a wink that earned him a laugh from everyone around the table.
“It’s probably the white dress,” Mor wiggled her perfect eyebrows at Gwyn.
A flush crept up Gwyn’s cheeks. Not because of the insinuation from the beautiful blond, but because there had been a time where she would have believed everything that they were saying. What a fool she had been. What a stupid, romantic, naive fool.
“Oh that pretty blush is promising,” Nesta teased next to her. “Come on.”
Before she could give any response, Nesta was out of her chair and pulling Gwyn up by the arm. Next to her, Cassian had already pulled a semi-reluctant Azriel out of his seat and was dragging him across the garden towards the small shed.
All words evaded Gwyn. All she could focus on was trying to keep herself together. She could do this. Seven minutes. She would be strong. For seven minutes.
“And no less,” Cassian exclaimed after pushing both her and Azriel in the shed. Gwyn stared at the closed door after the loud click of the lock sounded from outside.
The silence in the small dark place was louder than the faint voices on the other side. It stretched on for what felt like ten times more than seven minutes. Everything was so still around her that despite having her back to him, Gwyn felt Azriel lift his hand and reach towards her.
“Gwy-,”
“Don’t,” she took a step to the side before he could touch her shoulder.
“Gwyn plea-,”
“Don’t,” she said more firmly. Though her next words came out in a whisper. “Please, don’t.”
She turned around and faced him. She begged her heart to keep quiet and pleaded with reason to not abandon her. This situation seemed like a mirror of the last time that they had been in the same room. Suddenly, the last month faded into nothing. Gwyn felt like she was still in his living room, staring into his eyes and wondering why on earth she had ever trusted him. It was pity for herself that she had felt before she had stormed out of his apartment that night.
“Gwyn. Please,” he took a step forward and she took one back. “Let me explain.”
“What I saw was explanation enough,” she snapped.
“It’s not what you think.” His voice was laced with impatience. If she believed in his lies, she would have also discerned hurt in it. But it was probably a bit of wishful thinking from her part.
Gwyn let out a sardonic laugh. “And what would you have thought, Azriel,” she spat his name like it had become the hardest thing for her to say, “if you had seen me doing what you were doing with her.”
He ran a hand through his hair, pulling on the dark strands in frustration like he usually did.
“It was a mistake. A huge, fucking mistake. And I regret every fucking second of it.”
“A mistake...,” Gwyn tasted the word on her tongue. It was the same word he had used that day. That same word that she had turned around and around in her head for the past month while she had thought back on the years that they had spent together.
“This should have never happened, you have to believe me.”
“But it did.”
“It was a fucking mistake.” That godforsaken word again. As if saying it enough times would remove his involvement in the act he had committed. “I swear love, I never wanted to hurt you. She - ”
“She what?” her voice rose above his and made him freeze. “Did she force you to do anything?”
Azriel didn’t react. His silence was answer enough. And when he kept staring at her with those deep hazel eyes that she adored so much, with that same intensity that had made her lose her godsdamned mind so many times since she had first looked into them, her wall crumbled. Her strength to keep it up left her, running away to the darkest corner of the shed along with her resolve to keep her mouth shut.
“I thought that you would be the one to finally make me believe that I deserve this kind of love. But y-you...,” she wasn’t sure what to say except that she had to let out what had been plaguing her mind for a whole month.
“I trusted you. I...”
He took another step towards her but she stopped him with a hand on his chest. She ignored what touching him was doing to her. Ignored that she wasn’t the only one that had touched him and kept talking despite her voice coming out as sobs
“I never forced you to stay with me. You always had a choice. And you chose to hurt me.”
“I didn’t want –,”
“BUT YOU DID,” she shouted.
She didn’t notice the sudden quiet of the voices outside nor did she care. Azriel fell to his knees, tears streaming down his face. “Please, my love. This will never happen again.”
Looking at him like this made something twist inside Gwyn. Her whole body was trembling with anger and pain. An endless flow of tears started streaming down her face. How dare he make such empty promises after having ripped her heart out like he did.
“I know you still love me, Gwyn.”
She huffed. “Of course I love you.” There was no point in denying it. “I hate myself for loving you so much.”
Azriel grabbed one of her hands and brought it to his lips. “Please let me fix this. I love you more than anything.”
Another sentence that she had heard back then. As if trust could be fixed by simply snapping one’s fingers. As if those images that had haunted her for an entire month would disappear by simply piling new ones on top.
“If this is your idea of love, then it’s wrong,” she said, slowly removing her hand from his. She closed her eyes as she did so, knowing well that this would be last time she would ever let him touch her. Perhaps the last time she would ever let any man touch her. It seemed impossible in this moment that she would ever trust a man again with her heart. Not when it would always remain with the one kneeling at her feet. The sight was another mockery of the future she had dreamed for them. Another sick and cruel joke of life.
A knock sounded at the door followed by Cassian’s deep voice. “You still decent in there? Time’s over.”
Time wasn’t the only thing that was over. Gwyn was almost at the door when Azriel abruptly stood up and grabbed her wrist. Without even thinking, she turned around and slapped him so hard that the incessant knocking on the door stopped.
Azriel released her wrist and brought his hand to his cheek. His hazel eyes found hers again. His eyes were red and filled with tears, his expression full of something that she refused to acknowledge.
Since she had nothing left to say and so much more tears left to shed, Gwyn turned around and walked out, to somewhere she could mourn the loss of her heart.

Honestly people had some good takes when acosf was out. They acknowledged Nesta's wrong doings and also her progress but then some nasty Nesta fans joined the fandom and ruined everything. I also remember the person who started this hate toward Feyre and made it a competition between the sister
ps: I'm not sure if this was still them or someone else but I've also seen they made a competition between Gwyn and Feyre and the whole Feyre being a "breeding mare" started from them
I'm an elriel and these kind of behavior really made me mad and that's why I can't ship gwynriel because their fans really ruined them for me. I was open to the idea but everything got so messy real quick
Hi anon<3
I understand you because recently, I've seen some Gwynriel calling Feyre that specific name and it disgusted me. They also spread so many wrong information about her and it's obvious they have never read Feyre's trilogy only acosf and they heard what happened in those books from social media and specially from antis lmao trust me I've seen people doing that.
I ship Gwynriel solemnly because of them, not because I've seen awful things from e/riel side and defiantly not from antis. Just like now that I love Nesta but I can tell most of the "pro" takes around her are in bad faith and only want to spread negativity. But I understand where your feelings come from.
ACOSF made people part in many groups while it shouldn't have because the point of that book was so easy to understand, yet again some people as bitter as they are had to make everyone miserable like themselves.
And I think people talk about Nesta less and less because her fans are crazy and no one wants to interact with them lmao. As much as they want to prove to you that they understand her, they don't. And if you talk about her flaws then you're an*ti Nesta because she's a saint and did nothing wrong. They also have to bring other characters down in the process which the most immature thing I've ever seen and most of them can be debunked by the canon. But those who wants to believe the misinformation they're gonna believe it and no amount of canon text would change their mind.
#I've seen some old post on tumblr#and yes I've seen how people used to be SANE lol#but yeah I always suggest people to filter the things that bothers them out#it's the best thing and it would make your experience so much better

Genuine question. When did Azriel question his religion? I’ve seen E/riel’s say that he questioned his religion in the bonus chapter for Elain and I’m not sure when he did. Unless when he asked Rhys “what if the Cauldron was wrong”, but other than that I can’t think of when he did.
Recently an E/riel said “my favorite thing about azriel is that his response to elain having a mate that isn't him was basically, "well then this whole continents religion is wrong" which is the most melodramatic thing he could have possibly said. And then he like immediately finds out he was correct and there's no way he's ever going to shut up about it. when he inevitably starts describing her using religious imagery i will simply perish.”
I’ve always seen religious imagery being used for Gwynriel and not E/riel. I’ve thought this for a while now, but I’m scared to say anything (or if one day I want to make edits of them with religious imagery) because I don’t want E/riel’s to accuse me of “copying their aesthetic” (never mind that they copy Feysand’s). But it does make sense, at least to me, to have religious symbolism/imagery for Gwynriel. Gwyn is literally a priestess. Gwyn and Azriel. The saint and the sinner. If E/riel’s use religious as a headcanon then that’s obviously fine. We all have our own headcanons, but if I ever use religious themes for Gwynriel, then I really hope that I don’t get run off of Tumblr because of it.
Also, E/riel’s keep saying that the Cauldron is corrupted and the mating bond is fake (when they were so dead set on their ship being about rejecting the bond), but we already know that the Cauldron is corrupted. This was brought up in ACOMAF and ACOWAR. Shouldn’t E/riel’s also be bringing up Feysand’s and Nessian’s mating bond, too then? And I think the one who decides the mating bond is The Mother or some higher being (SJM herself).
that's because he didn't question his religion, he questioned his self worth. that chapter showed me at least, that az is more religious than i previously thought. he feels like the mother, the cauldron, whoever decides mates, finds him so unworthy that he doesn't deserve a predestined soulmate like his brothers. he feels left out and alone. no where was he questioning anything for elain, he was questioning why elain wasn't "given" to him. i'd even bet he's had similar thoughts about mor before because ultimately it's not about elain or mor or any other woman, it's about himself
he... never ever said anything close to that. like that description of his conversation with rhys is so misconstrued, i'm honestly impressed. they have imaginations, i'll give them that!
gwynriel has had the religious aesthetics since february of 2021 and we've never had to resort to "stealing" from that side but they sure do like to turn around and steal from every other ship in the series! what's that saying, rules for thee but not for me? something along those lines. e/riels stay being the biggest hypocrites i've ever seen
anon, i know this fandom can be scary (especially lately) but i promise you if you decide to share anything like that, the love will outweigh any hate you might receive. and if anyone is giving you a hard time just message me privately and i'll be mean right back to them for you, ok? i would love to see all the lovely things you create and i know every other gwynriel would too!!! 💖
yup! the cauldron being corrupted was like the main plot of feyre's trilogy lol this isn't anything new. but as you and others have pointed out, if the cauldron has made faulty bonds, it wouldn't just apply to elucien. you'd have to call into question every other known bond in the series. but of course e/riels don't think logically, nevermind the fact that mate bonds are decided at birth, at the earliest, and not just something that's made up in the moment like they seem to think
rhys had visions of feyre and believed she was his mate as a human. cassian suspected the same of nesta when she was human. elain and lucien didn't become mates the second she turned, their bond has been written into the tapestries of fate since before either of them were even alive. you'd think they'd learn a thing or two about how the series treats soulmates, or even just the soulmate trope in general, before they try to deconstruct it in their lame attempts at making a "compelling" romance
#also i saw a meme an e/riel made recently about elain severing her bond to lucien and they put bond#in quotations and i found that ironic since isnt their bond supposed to be fake according to them?#if its fake why would elain have to do anything to break it?? theyre really all over the place arent they lol#antielriel#anti e/riel#asks#anonymous

I thought you were a Gwynriel? What a disappointment to know you’re not just like every Feysand on this app. Fr now what makes Elain better than Gwyn for Feysands? It doesn’t make sense to me how you would want someone like Elain to be with Azriel when Gwyn is right there. Actually Gwyn is so similar to Feyre and she would‘ve never treated her the way Elain treats her sisters. Just know that you’re not obligated to ship Elriel just because you hate Nesta and Gwyn happens to be her friend. I‘m so disappointed right now.
Hi anon,
I am truly not sure how to respond to this. Is this because of my most recent reblog? I'm sorry you're disappointed, I really am, but I'd like to take this chance to make my stance on these two ships clear.
"It doesn't make sense to me how you would want someone like Elain to be with Azriel when Gwyn is right there" "Just know you're not obligated to ship Elriel just because you hate Nesta and Gwyn happens to be her friend"
A lot to unpack here. Do I want Elain to end up with Azriel? Ehh? I don't genuinely have any vested interest in Elriel, I have a lot of Elriel moots and it pops up in my for you a lot and often there's cute things there, I see something I like, I reblog it. Do I want Gwyn to end up with Azriel? Ehh? I see equally as much Gwynriel in my for you and guess what? I sometimes will see something I like, and I'll either like it or reblog it.
You make it seem like me drifting right in between Elriel and Gwynriel is my way of punishing Gwyn for daring to be Nesta's friend, like it's me saying she doesn't deserve him for associating with Nesta. I will tell you the truth of the matter.
I do not like Azriel.
What has he done to deserve either of these two women? Is he to be some type of reward for good behavior? If I like Elriel it's because Gwyn's bad for being friends with Nesta, if I like Gwynriel it's because Elain's bad for how she treated Feyre in the cabin? Seriously? Why can't Azriel be the problem? He is the least interesting to me, I wouldn't mind if he ends up alone.
Elain and Gwyn are not competing to end up with Azriel in my mind, I truly don't think they have to. He should be the one competing for them. Elain isn't better than Gwyn to me and Gwyn isn't better than Elain. That's literally why I reblogged that post from katsum50, because I agree with them, I care more about reading a story about Elain than one on Azriel or Lucien. I think her book will be interesting and I really am curious to know what goes on in her head and how she sees the world and the people around her. In the post I recently made defending her people had literally been shipping her with her sisters abuser! Does me defending Elain from those who ship her with scum like Tamlin automatically mean I've forgotten my dislike of her actions (or lack thereof) while living in the Cabin? No! I ain't forget, thats why I need an Elain book so I can see what's what.
Gwyn and Elain both have more character and personality than Azriel has had in all the books he's appeared in. I like the respective ships for them alone. I love seeing Azriel be Elain's manservant in fanart while she gardens, providing her shade as to not burn her lovely skin. I love seeing Azriel train Gwyn to be a better warrior, so that she can cut him with more ease. I love when I see Elain drawn as a pretty fairy and Gwyn as a mermaid.
I've chosen to explain myself because I value the people who follow my blog and like my posts, but I really think you need to reevaluate how you approach the Azriel centric ships, because he is not some prize or an indication of which woman is better.

I didn’t mean to send it as hate though - I just wanted to counter your arguments because I felt they were based on double standards. So, I do apologize if my tone was too harsh and came across agressive.
I love Lucien and Azriel both, so whatever book is next, is a win-win for me. But looking at the bigger picture, the spotlight is on Azriel right now - I’m not making this up, nor the other Gwynriels. I rest my case.
And I appreciate the apology. I think anytime you write an anon to someone and accuse them of acting like an E/riel it's going to be taken the wrong way. Of course you're not making up the fact that Gwynriel could be next. I've even said as much as that in my posts, that I could definitely be wrong. But here's the thing. SJM put a lot of effort into Lucien's story from book 1. SJM heavily built up Elucien in ACOWAR. Feyre's main concern in ACOMAF were for Nesta, Elain and Lucien. Then in SF, she "shelved" Elain and Lucien a bit so that Nesta could have her story with a little bit of distance between she and Elain. And Lucien featured in the first 3.5 books because he was Feyre's friend but as SF was focused on Nesta and Cassian, he was never going to be able to feature in the same way because again, he is Feyre's friend and it's not her POV anynore. And because SF is Nessian's book, it made sense that the main side characters were Gwyn (as her best friend) and Az as Cassian's best friend. And Az is featured in the crossover but not necessarily in a major ACOTAR plot related way that we know of in the actual series just yet. We have no idea exactly how or when SJM plans on introducing any relevant information and how that relates to Az's future journey. There's a few pieces that we can almost guarantee will be addressed but were they any more important than things like Luciens unknown father? Elain and Lucien's untrained powers? Lucien not being able to reconnect with the LoA? Lucien and Elain still not having a home? Lucien's "father" trying to ally with Koschei? Lucien's friend who is about to be called back and is cursed by Koschei? So if she built up Lucien in books 1 - 3.5 and Elain in books 2 - 3.5 while still featuring them in SF though less than before, and began to build up Az in SF and the crossover, why can't she "shelve" Az for the next ACOTAR book as she somewhat "shelved" Elucien in SF? Overall and throughout the entire series Lucien and Elain have still (together and individually) had more build up than Az or Gwyn (together or individually) have had throughout the entire series and the crossover combined. Elucien was the focus before yet they still haven't gotten a book. Just because Az looks like the focus now, does that guarantee he is getting the next book? He might be. Definitely! Maybe someone in the fandom knows something I don't and I just look foolish for looking at the information we have so far and trying to predict the outcome when I'm missing pieces of the puzzle. But.....maybe not? If SJM completely removed Chaol from EoS and still gave him TOD then why can't Elain and Lucien have the next book despite not being the main focus of SF? Despite them not being in the crossover? Because if they are already in Spring or Day or the continent when the crossover is taking place than there's a reason they weren't around to play a part. That's all I'm saying. I don't know if Elucien is truly next but when there are possible valid explanations for why they were missing in the crossover, when Elain's lack of page time in SF has a valid reason (so Nesta could discover who she was outside of Elain), when SJM tells us Elain has Az beat for secret keeping and she conveniently does not give us an Elain POV......then I think it creates a decent enough argument for why there is still the possibility of them getting the next book. Of course I could be wrong. Taking E/riel into account, I've only got a 33.33% chance of being right. But the book hasn't been announced so when we've got E/riels claiming THEY know for sure E/riel is next and Gwynriels claiming THEY know for sure Gwynriel is next, why is it wrong that I'm simply doing the exact same thing for Elucien? If you're all allowed to talk with such certainty than why I am the one being policed for doing the same?

I feel like you elrielsnignore ToG entirely because ToG is the proof that Sarah can do anything like killing off a ship that's been there for many books for a completely new ship, yet you still scream "4 books of build up". Or when you all say that Lucien will not be able to love Elain but Vassa, because Jesminda and Vassa are both wild and carefree while Elain isn't- which is so absurd, may I remind everyone that Rowan is nothing like Sam, yet Aelin still fell in love with Rowan? That Aelin is nothing like Lyria, yet Rowan still fell in love with Aelin AND Yrene is nothing like Celaena, yet Chaol still fell in love with Yrene?
Then we have Aelin and Rowan who HATED each other to death and they ended up falling for each other, yet u all yell at eluciens that elucien will never work because elain is ignoring Lucien.
We have Rowan telling Aelin straight in her face that she's not his friend, yet elriels laugh at gwynriels because Azriel wouldn't go so far as to call Gwyn a friend. Plus u guys claim how Gwynriel would be a disgusting ship, since Azriel is training Gwyn and it would be considered as a "teacher- student" relationship (when it's not?!), though we had Rowan training Aelin ALONE the whole book and no one was against that.
After EOS we got to read a bonus chapter entirely from Chaol's POV and what a surprise- the next book was his.. yet you guys spit that Azriel's bonus chapter isn't relevant.
The only thing you do not ignore from ToG is the fake mating bond between Rowan and Lyria and they believe that it will be similar to Elucien, when these two situations are completely different and it would not make any sense nor would it serve an elriel book if Elucien's bond was fake (Feysand and Nessian's mating bonds would be in question, should Elucien's bond be fake)
Pick a struggle.
Anon why don't you go rating to someone who actually cares.

I just want to know how can you hate elain and azriel after he gave her truthteller, (HIS MOST PRIZED POSSESSION) he sat with her at 3 in the morning listening to her about her garden plans, didn't hesitate to save her, every night before he slept he would look at he headache powder she gave him on solstice that made him laugh! like a genuine laugh! (and these arent even all their little moments) and youre telling me that it's cliche? he only lust for her?? Talk about slowburn.... the slowburn was there! and now thats its finally getting to a point, this ship becomes the most hated because of a bonus chapter that many people misunderstood so badly.
I really feel like elain and azriel will be a trope that we never had yet, it would be so beautiful that I would probably reread the book so many times!! They really went from strangers to friends to lovers in a beautiful way. it wasn't rushed at all! you could tell when the feelings started to build and they slowly started to get over their old lovers! I would be so devastated if they don't end up together.
Hey anon 🫶
Right? Till this day it baffles me when people claim to hate elriel. I think out of all the couples’ despite not having their book, they’re my favourites. They’re just so soft and beautiful. Elain, not once balking from Azriel or showing any sign of fear of him. The way a faint smile bloomed on Azriel’s face when he met Elain for the first time. Down too, Azriel cradling Elain to his chest, even though he was injured and swaying. Elain raising up on her toes to give him a kiss whilst still in chains. The way Azriel made everyone wait for Elain before eating, a sign of respect and honour across many cultures. Elain sending him a grateful smile when he took the attention off her by making a joke at Amren’s expense. We have so many beautiful scenes of them - scenes that show how well they understand each other, how much they care and want each other - Nesta wasn’t even around them often yet she noticed a charged glance
All of these scenes can honestly be compiled into an elriel novella and we don’t even have their book yet…it’s almost as though Mass couldn’t stop herself from writing these memorable moments. As though she can’t help but right a cute/purposeful scene each time elriel appear on page together & I don’t blame her. Everything about elriel is just so fitting and perfect. From their aesthetic, tropes and personality- I personally feel that even though Elain and Az weren’t originally meant to be together, they somehow found each other in the mist of Mass’s writing. They were the good kind of unexpected.
The cliche arguement is just stupid. You’re reading a fantasy series- thats quite literally filled to the brim of cliche tropes yet elriel is where they draw the line? Please tell me whats new and exciting about two more stories of fated mates ending up together? I’d argue thats even more cliche as the fated mates trope is so common within fantasy.
The lust arguement is about antis being purposely obtuse and choosing to ignore every elriel interaction that was about them caring for each other and only focusing on this one so they can isolate it and make it seem as though Azriel only wants Elain physically. Whenever someone brings it up - I just think they’re childish and desperately looking for reasons to hate on elriel.
Heavy on the bonus being so misunderstood. Its been twisted too suit the narration of antis. Nit-picked and purposely taken out of context to fuel the anti-elriel agenda. All so precious Lucien can have his mate and Azriel gets someone better then Elain whose viewed as boring and plain compared to other certain characters.
Im sorry but gwynriels deep and profound conversation is non-existent. They found Az chuckling at gwyns joke more beautiful and special then Azriel doing a full on belly laugh to the point of his eyes becoming brighter (all bcs of Elain) ? Yh no one is being fooled. They take these small interactions between elucien/gwynriel and do their best to romanticise it by layering their own biased hcs into the scene and drawing fanarts that make the interactions seem more impactful and romantic then they actually are. Cherry on top? Elucien and gwynriel as ships are basically elriel in a different format its just swapping out either elain/az for gwyn/lucien.
I think elriel have a pretty good shot of being a unique Sjm couple that stand out across all 3 series. A couple that can set history for the future generations. Two lovers defying fate for each other? Yes please. I already know anon im going to create a shrine for their book and reread it so often to the point of having most of it memorised.
Thats why I love elriel so much. They didn’t just rush into a relationship. Their buildup didn’t happen just in acosf. As readers we see it build up - it wasn’t instant love. They got to know each other and THEN fell in love. Thats a beautiful story within itself.
Id also be devastated if elriel weren’t happening- all that build up for what? Funsies? Nah. An author doesn’t have the mmc going “im getting her back” with his eyes glowing golden filled with rage and then the fmc going “you came for me?” If they weren’t endgame.

I'm reading some of your older posts from 2022- the time where people were claiming el/riel is endgame because of the CC leaks and it got me thinking.. I am kinda dissapointed that Gwyndion and Narben won't play a role in Azriel's book. I thought because of the name "gwyndion" and the german word Narben that means scars (Azriel's scars) + the whole history with a pristess helping the former high king and dipps gwyndion in the cauldron + a certain nymph having told amren about how Amarantha threw Narben away + the name Fionn (or whatever) also having connections to gwyn's name (look at yaz's older posts), it would have some connection to gwynriel or gwyn specifically. I wasn't convienced that gwyn would play a major role when it comes to these swords, not like Azriel at least, but despite Sjm being not so great of a writer and always forgetfull, it didn't sound like a coincidence, you know? I find it weird that sjm repeatedly connect some parts of these swords to gwyn. So I had thought it would be interesting to see it all in Azriel's book.
The crossover seems to disagree with me. Maybe we'll get to find Narben in Azriel's book? (Again- it stands for scars)Bryce would need Truth-teller more than Narben that is somewhere lost in Prythian so it could be cool for Azriel to have Narben then?...though there is a possibility that Bryce will have it in CC3, Azriel is more like a knife guy anyway and the IC would probably take it for themselves.
It proves that no matter how much you believe you've connected the dots and solved the mystery, the answers can still be wrong. Some people are going to be real mad and scream "fanservice" when Sjm might never have planned to go that route.
Still, I thought Gwynriel using Gwyndion and Narben would've been a cool thing but meh I guess..
This blog really is a time capsule of what the fandom has been through! For better or worse haha
Never say never, anon. sjm could bring back Narben. Amren could remember something vague, suddenly, from millennia ago. I know a lot of people hate the idea, but maybe Az could lose Truthteller, since it's paired with Gwydion. (I had to reread my hosab wrap-up post because I legit cannot keep these things straight, one pointy sharp object is as good as another when I'm reading). Or maybe he ends up with both? And then end up with Narben down the road?
I agree that it seems like a stretch for Gwyn to be connected to either of them. Sjm names things and chooses colors and flowers etc. based on the vibes she gets from them, and I honestly think we ascribe more meaning to those things than she intends.
I feel a lot more comfortable speculating based on characters' personalities and dynamics, rather than anything plot or world based. Everything comes in second after those relationships, to her, so that's where it makes sense to me to look! But also, that means maybe you could get your wish and Az getting Narben could somehow serve his emotional journey. I am leaning towards us learning more about Truthteller in CC3 - seems highly likely - and then in acotar5 Az could end up with Narben. Seems like a waste of a name to not give it to Az eventually.
And I do lowkey see Az letting go of Truthteller as a symbolic way that he could let go of the more traumatic parts of his past and the way he seems to be paying penance now, but... we shall see.

Few days ago, I commented on sjm's Instagram post with "Congratulations for 2M <3", Excited for the next acotar book, #gwynriel for the win!
So a person commented on it like stay delusional bit*ch it's not going to happen", i have a public account and i saw the comment like a day later and i blocked and reported them
Then a day later i get similar text like yk when the next book comes we'll see etc etc and the slut and whore calling telling me to off myself,
I read the series for distraction because i had been diagnosed with melancholia and distracting helps,
well I blocked all the accounts I got messages from (4-5) and went on about my day, on July 1 it was my mother's death anniversary and i posted a post remembering her, another fake account commented on it, that "when the next book comes I'll join my mom because i wouldn't be able to cope it not being "my precious Gwyn" and how they hope someone r*pes my corpse afterwards",
They commented it, all my family and friends saw it, and as affected as i was by that message but now my family and friends keep calling and messaging me asking what's happening why I'm getting death and rape threats,
They are actually worried and upset and thinking about involving police and stuff and I'm tired man why the fuck are trolls doing it?,
What the fuck did i ever do? I deleted my insta, im tired can we pls stop the whole trolling thing now?
Like today i saw it on here, how do you guys deal with it? Because i genuinely feel upset about it.
Hi anon!
I'm so sorry to hear it happened to you. I still can't believe how crazy people act over fictional characters. All the name calling and these threats should never happen. It's uncalled for, and I think only deeply disturbed people act this way.
As for how to deal with it... Tbh, I'm not the best person to ask for advice. I've only joined this fandom here on tumblr a month ago. So far, I have not received any mean comments or hateful messages. I hope it stays this way.
If it does happen, tho I honestly think it doesn't say anything about me, only about those who send it. I know it's easier said than done, but it's best to ignore it, block it, and go about your day. Find something to distract you from it. You can always feel safe here when you block haters and certain tags. And if you turn off anon, unfortunately. And if you need it, there are many nice people here who make this fandom fun, surround yourself with them, follow them, send them messages and the whole experience will be fun again.
And for the future, I think the safest way to enjoy this fandom for now is to stay anonymous. I know it sucks that we can't write innocent comments about our ships. But maybe for our own safety and peace of mind, it's better to make a finsta and engage with fandom this way.
Don't let them ruin your fun! Sorry if I wasn't very helpful.

I didn't threaten you, so calm down, I just said that some posts and theories, especially saying that gwyn is a lightsinger, can trigger and are harmful for real people. Where is the threat? I tried to explain to you why gwynriels and Gwyn stans in general don't support that theory and I tried to be as clear as possible. You put trigger warnings? Good for you because some of your fellow elriels don't and I said that because I know many follow you and are going to read that post because they do love the drama. I wasn't talking only about you. Anyways, I read your reply, we think differently but what I said it's true. You have your opinion and I have mine but I am speaking on behalf of many people and you elriels where wondering why we don't like that theory so I tried to explain it to you. Also, you have a veeeery long record of posts filled with hate towards every character that threatens your ship and for what I've read you don't like Gwyn one bit so what do you want people to think? That you are actually interested in Gwyn as a character? No. Many elriels want her to be evil so they can claim that elriel is endgame and shipping gwynriel is bad, the same way elriels are toxic towards elucien shippers and have bullied them for years now. This answer is getting long, so I am just going to say when you post something online, you are open for criticism and I decided to be respectful and explain myself the same you do. I didn't send you no hate, I did call people out for the reasons I explained before, so don't come at me saying "thanks for the threat" and playing the victim because that's so unnecesary. I don't care if you keep posting those things, it's your blog, but don't be surprise if more people call you out when the things you write are problematic and toxic (speaking in general).
I don’t need you to explain why gwynriels don’t like the lightsinger theory, thanks. I get it. I’ve had these conversations before. That’s why I put trigger warnings and disclaimers on my lightsinger posts.
I know that gwynriels don’t support the theory (at least when it comes from elriels). That was the whole point of my post that you sent your first anon about. I’ve been told time and again by gwynriels that the lightsinger theory is problematic or disgusting, yet now I see multiple gwynriels posting about it and using it. My point was, I guess it’s only ok for them to do it? And you just further confirmed that with your original anon and this one.
“You have a veeeery long record of posts filled with hate towards every character that threatens your ship and for what I’ve read you don’t like gwyn one but so what do you want people to think?”
Wowwwww. Show me all of the posts I’ve made that are filled with hate towards every character that threatens my ship. I’ll wait. Because there aren’t any. I don’t direct hate towards other characters in ACOTAR because, wait for it, I don’t hate any of them (except for the villains).
And I literally put a screenshot in my last reply to you where I say I like Gwyn. Do I like her with Azriel? No. But do I like her character? Yes. I’ve never posted hate about her. And no, theorizing that she might be morally gray or do something bad is not “hate” towards Gwyn.
Regardless, of course when I post things online I’m open to criticism. I have accepted criticism directed at me. I have apologized when I’ve made mistakes. I have also called out inappropriate or harmful posts when I’ve seen them from elriels.
But you know what’s not ok? The doxxing, bullying, and harassment I’ve faced from gwynriels and eluciens, much of which has stemmed from my posts about a theory that gwynriels now seem to think they can post about but I can’t.
Last point: I just find it hilarious that you’re calling out some elriels for wanting gwyn to be evil to keep her away from azriel (which again, I’ve only seen a handful of times), when there are scores of evil Elain theories from gwynriels out there that literally do the same thing. But ok, I guess people can only theorize that Elain is evil, but not gwyn. Got it.
