Additional info: Headcanons are on a queue however I may also post them randomly if I come up with one suddenly. RP responses after the first, if I'm not feeling well and don't want to be overwhelmed, will be queued 1-3 days after i answer them.

If I do not answer your ask, response to my starter, etc. there are no hard feelings on my end. I may not have been inspired, may have been in a writing funk, or otherwise chose not to answer with no malice in my heart. Hearing Neve's pain riddled "no." and nearly crying when she talks about the people she recognizes after Minrathous is blighted, and the Venatori now rule, and all of their progress was thrown back CENTURIES, I'm just imagining her horror, as you take her by the CARTS and CARTS of bodies, and the people hanged and left out to rot...

Imagine for me, since I am writing this now, the horror on her face as she goes quiet. This woman, who was happily chatting in the middle of the public to every single person that passed her, now has her eyes darting left and right. Yes, these people are faceless to you, Rook, with their masks on. But to her, they are names, people, people with families and stories, that she all knows and knows personally.

People that she's shared plights with, stories, drinks, people she's helped, people that aren't even shadow dragons that she knows that were entirely innocent and under their protection, young adults with dreams, vendors, and all those in between who are just people - good, people. HER people, in HER city, And after a while there's muttering like,

"No.. No, no, Diana, oh Martin.. Mabel.. Octavia..Magnus.. Oliver.." to herself, quietly, as she goes through this ENDLESS list of names and then..

Suddenly Neve is walking away from the party quickly to a nearby alley, to which she starts heaving. A hand on the wall, leaning over, and if you try to walk up to her to put a hand on her shoulder she will jerk away and tell you to not touch her, leave and just ... go. Just go.

i have four overall playthroughs for datv outlined and right now the only one i'm struggling to figure out is the second one.

on the one hand, i feel like saving minrathous causes the correct kind of fallout between the crows to fit the vibe that zevran would actually have. on the other hand, it would be incredibly ooc for zevran not to save treviso, crows be damned. he loves antiva too much to see his home be burned.

Now she is preparing for the first date she has been on in a long time and is freaking out. Lana has turned to your muse for advice.

Lana looked over at the other nervously as she waited for some much needed advice. "So, I typed out a couple million ways to respond but I landed with yes." She admitted as she was scared but she wanted to move forward. Lana knew she was too young to be sad and single forever. It was just that the idea of dating again seemed like one of the hardest things she would ever do.

"I'm scared of looking stupid." Lana said as she bit down on her lip. She was scared if this didn't work out that she'd convince herself that she was just meant to be entirely alone forever. The woman was educated enough to know how irrational that was but right now her feelings were overpowering any sense of logic. "I said I'm ready but now I have to prove it."St

the parchment landed on isabela's desk at some point earlier in the day, but it had an unmistakable charm about it. from seal to scent, it reeked of tevinter flourish — a teal wax stamp pressed a little too firmly, and the faint hint of sea air clinging to its edges. without even needing to open it, she knew who it was from.

she leaned back in her chair, a brow arched as a smirk played at her lips.

at any other point in her life, she might have discarded it through pull and fire tactics used on items carrying less intrigue, but neve's introduction had ... shifted ... things.

with a roll of her eyes and a dagger twirled in one hand, she stabs the end of her blade into a notch in her desk, then plucked the letter from atop a stack of paperwork. " alright detective, i'll bite... let's see what you're up to. "

sliding a sharpened nail beneath the wax, careful to preserve the edges of its seal, she cracked the letter with a planned slowness, savoring the faint scent of florals as the letters face was revealed by candlelight.

" of course it's fancy. " she chuckled, unfurling the ledger further. " neve and her flair ... "

though the script was neat and precise, the corsair couldn't help but admire the warmth the penmanship brought her — and the comfort in the curve of how neve wrote her name.

her smirk faltered, replaced by a furrowing of brows as her eyes scanned the page, the words heavier, weighted. like the crash of a wave, isabela felt pressure in her chest, a brief blink or two given as she stopped, reading over the letter again ... and again... just to make sure she knew what she was looking at.

was this a proposal?

her breath hitched, the idea sending her through repetitive stages of concern, and finally, acceptance.

a wedding?

shaking her head, like she were trying to clear it, the captain leaned back in her chair, folding the letter carefully back to her desk. for the first time in a while, isabela felt unmoored.

but not for long.

her pride, though caught in her throat, was swallowed with her stance, a swift motion given as she snatched her hat from the back of her chair, and fixed it atop her head, all while shrugging her coat back over her shoulders. a grin, equal parts terrified and amused spread across her face.

" well i'll be damned, no one ever beats me to the punch. well winter... " the bicorne is tugged more into place as she steps out into the rivaini night air, destination set for the eluvian. " i'm coming — and i'm bringing the prettiest ring you've ever seen. "

I’m especially looking to write Davrin right now, but open to all.

I come up with ideas quickly and prefer character-focused stories taking places among dense plots. I'm not overly concerned with aesthetics, I'm just itching to write.

Dragon Age: The Veilguard RP! 💜 (double friendly <33)

Hello all!! I'm Lou and I am currently on the lookout for an enthusiastic RP partner for a Dragon Age: Veilguard fandom RP, and I'm particularly wanting to pair an OC with Lucanis (he’s just such an interesting character fr he grew on me sm <33). But also, as mentioned in the title, I'm definitely doubling friendly! :)) I think playing the canon characters can definitely be fun too. I’ve just beaten my first playthrough of the game and my gosh was it an awesome experience!! In saying this, it has left me craving and wanting to explore its world through RP! 💕

I was thinking of possibly giving her a different nickname, but functions similarly as Rook! We can definitely discuss this together though of course. 🫶

It truly touches me how fast and entirely devoted Neve loves. She loves Bellara so deeply and truly that she jokes with her as well as expresses so openly to her that she's family no matter what. Shes protective of Taash and open with them about her past of struggle. Neve grows to love each of the other party members so deeply and passionately.

And they love her which is the scary thing. She's sharp, jaded, far too rough around the edges that no amount of polishing can fix. The first time shes called sister its a crippling shot of warmth in her gut that burns her up with well hidden fear. Fear of more loss. Of having to watch someone else she loves die. A fear of failing them and herself if she can't protect them. But she never, despite the voice in the back of her head screaming to do so, pushes them too far away. If someone starts inching closer to that little line, starts crashing through the frigid walls around the inner most reaches of her heart, she becomes hard to get and overly cautious maybe even a bit icey. There is not distance but things slow, shes playful but snippy and more than a bit gloomy.

But at the end of it all Neve is still full of love, she's just terrified of where that may land her but also so so excited for the adventure.

For me currently, the interesting thing is the difference of mindsets that is in Neve between her two Veilguard Hero paths. On one end, she becomes the hope of the people, and by principle sticks to the mindset she's had since the beginning by remaining the hand of justice that is astute as she was since the day we met her. Never killing, only arresting, bringing down the hand of the law.

Meanwhile, on the other - she becomes the Shadow of Docktown, the vigilante who is finished with playing by the rules when it comes to the corrupt crime of her home. A near Spymaster by her own right, when you think about it. She will kill a criminal if she thinks they will only be released to do the same thing they've been doing, she will take that extra step and not hold back where her alternate self will. This is also the Neve that can kill the juggernaut in the end game battle, and crush a man with her mind when sent after the Venatori lock.

My "best things about Veilguard" opinions, from someone who hasn't played Veilguard are:

The whole thing with Varric. That's some high-octane angstfuel writing, A+ implementation of the thing I was extremely sure was going to happen in the next DA game no matter what. I knew it was coming, but I'm impressed at how they did it.

Apparently some clever manipulation of the story vis a vis party mechanics to make it less glaringly obvious that you are always leaving multiple skilled people behind on a mission, when you select your party.
