Papyrus wasn’t sure what was happening but he really didn’t appreciate this sudden disruption to his kingly schedule. He had people waiting for him out there, counting on him! He couldn’t let them down! (He couldn’t let them think he was weak, unreliable, he couldn’t—)

He couldn’t breathe past the hammering of his soul in his throat. Through the cloud of terror and tears, he could barely see straight to make out a smear of blue and white.
