I have made a tiny and borderline useless nalbound pouch. It's so small because I only had a certain amount of that yarn, and I won yarn chicken to finish the drawstring holes row with literally 1 inch to spare. The cards that I eventually want to turn into tablet weaving cards are in it now.

Finally finished this nålebinding set. Made for a friend in trade for an interchangeable knitting needle set.

anyone have any explanations on how to use stitch markers with nålbinding/needlebinding - I can't figure it out and it's getting really frustrating

Hey, you! Unfortunately, you're doing Too Many fibre crafts. It has been decided that you must choose only one to continue doing. Each of these categories should be interpreted as broadly as possible (for example, sewing definitely includes quilting).
You can pick up other additional crafts not listed here, but out of these 6, 5 have to go.

I think the only fiberart I haven't tried, is knotting techniques.

who up mixing their media?
i'm a big fan of a tome that is also a toy, this book is by far the most snuggleable in my collection (an important and prestigious award, the certificate is on the way)
none of its pages are done but here's a selection of the ones interesting enough 2 share
the main textile techniques featured here are needlebinding, braiding, & macramé
Also just in love with office supplies tbh
fruit scented highlighters, shitty ballpoint pen, white correction pen, the scary red editing pen, the occasional crayon, a lot of the cheap water colors to set the mood, supplemented by my shady handmade watercolors & a sprinkling of the thrifted-but-usually-expensive watercolors as a treat.
my best advice on offer is 2 have fun! (my worst advice is 2 kick rocks barefoot 😔)
in conkclusion: mmmmm mixed media, very tasty, highly reccomend

my first ever attempt at an inset heel! also my first ever attempt at working a spiral inwards instead of outwards. closing it was a bit tricky but I think I managed okay. there were some gaps in the innermost stitches when I finished, despite me keeping the tension pretty high for the girth of this yarn, but I just wove the tail through the holes and it filled in pretty nicely.
"inset heel" isn't a technical term and I didn't find anything relevant when I googled it, but just in terms of adjective-noun combos it's the best way I can think to describe what I'm doing here. if you want a better breakdown of how I worked this, it's basically the in-the-round variant of "heel type C" as described here: https://www.shelaghlewins.com/reenactment/naalbinding/sock_construction.htm (accessed 12/20/23). that's the one in figure 9. I didn't quite follow these directions, so what do I know, but they seem like good directions!
