I don鈥檛 think this is the good pr they think it is.
Like, what? He鈥檚 carrying on the family tradition of wiping out helpless civilians?
Seriously people who are travelling from other countries to serve in the IDF are truly frightening to me. Especially after Rafah and the ICC and IJC rulings.

Hans Scholl (deceased)
Gender: Male
Sexuality: Bisexual
DOB: 22 September 1918聽
RIP: 22 February 1943
Ethnicity: White - German
Occupation: Soldier, medic, activist, student
Note 1: One of the two founding members of the White Rose resistance movement in Nazi Germany. The White Rose's legacy has been considered significant by many historical commentators, both as a demonstration of exemplary spiritual courage, and as a well-documented case of social dissent in a time of violent repression, censorship, and pressure to conform.
Note 2: In 2003, Germans were invited to participate in Unsere Besten (Our Best), a nationwide competition to choose the top ten most important Germans of all time. Voters under the age of 40 helped Scholl and his sisters to finish in fourth place. If the votes of young viewers alone had been counted, Sophie and Hans Scholl would have been ranked first.

"Dora Richter, the first person to receive gender-affirming surgery, was presumed to have died under nazi rule. Now we know that she survived and died as an old woman in 1966."
Some good trans history news!
Dora Richter is considered an important pioneer. She was the first trans* person to undergo gender reassignment surgery. Her medical journey has long been well documented. Between 1923 and 1931, she underwent several groundbreaking operations in Berlin. Little by little, her body was adapted to the feelings inside her.
Little is known about Dora Richter as a person. What she was like, what she liked. Only a few details are documented. She was very involved in handicrafts. A photo shows Dora Richter at the bobbin lace sack, taken at the Institute for Sexology on Beethovenstrasse. Dora worked there in the household during the Weimar Republic. She was friends with the founder of the institute, doctor and scientist Magnus Hirschfeld. He affectionately called her "Dorchen". Her life story and her will broadened his perspective on people who do not identify with the gender assigned to them at birth.
She survived the war and evaded persecution by the Nazis. Dora went to Bohemia in the 1930s, to her hometown of Seifen.
[She was] known for her handbag. A pigeon always sat in it, like in a nest. The lady was rarely seen without her bag. Now and then she dropped some food into it, several people in town say. Dora Richter was also often in a good mood. But that was a long time ago, they keep saying.

In April 1933, Einstein discovered that the new German government had passed聽laws barring Jews from holding any official positions, including teaching at universities.[129]聽Historian聽Gerald Holton聽describes how, with "virtually no audible protest being raised by their colleagues", thousands of Jewish scientists were suddenly forced to give up their university positions and their names were removed from the rolls of institutions where they were employed.[131] A month later, Einstein's works were among those targeted by the聽German Student Union聽in the聽Nazi book burnings, with Nazi propaganda minister聽Joseph Goebbels聽proclaiming, "Jewish intellectualism is dead."[129]聽One German magazine included him in a list of enemies of the German regime with the phrase, "not yet hanged", offering a $5,000 bounty on his head.[129][132]聽In a subsequent letter to physicist and friend聽Max Born, who had already emigrated from Germany to England, Einstein wrote, "...聽I must confess that the degree of their brutality and cowardice came as something of a surprise."[129]聽After moving to the US, he described the book burnings as a "spontaneous emotional outburst" by those who "shun popular enlightenment", and "more than anything else in the world, fear the influence of men of intellectual independence".[133]
A quote from the Wikipedia page of German-American Jewish scientist, Albert Einstein.
What's notable here is how academics and intellectuals raised almost no protest to the systematic purging of Jews from universities in Germany. This is because, as historian Niall Ferguson has noted, that German academics had been promulgating the intellectual basis of Nazism during the 1920's (and probably beforehand).
What we can see here is that rather than defending the dignity and liberty of the individual, academics and intellectuals were the first in line to accept, permit, and collaborate with tyranny. They believed and invented lies. They turned a blind eye to mounting crimes against humanity.
When we look at today's college campuses and see a rising sea of hatred against Jewish students; when we see thousands of non-Jewish students showing little to no concern whatsoever for the rise in antisemitic hatred; when we see academics who glorify Jew-hating mass murderers, we should not be surprised.
What has been is what will be.
The academics who have promulgated anti-Jewish hatred (or stood by and allowed it to spread) today are betraying the same spirit as the German academics who allowed German Jews to be purged and threatened with death by the Nazi regime. And, like the German academics of the 20's and 30's, they believe that their betrayal of justice and liberty are all in the public's best interests.
Of course, they have been wise enough to change their official scapegoat from the Jews to "Israel".
But the net result is the same: Jews-- no matter how great their achievements, like those of Einstein-- are being purged from academic spaces and polite society, once again, to virtually no protest from their peers.
