Emmerdale confirms Victoria Barton's pregnancy in latest episode
She tells Robert that she's expecting a baby after her rape ordeal.
Emmerdale viewers have seen Victoria Barton's pregnancy storyline begin in another emotional episode for the show.
Victoria (Isabel Hodgins) is expecting a baby after being raped by fellow clubber Lee following a night out.
Friday's episode (May 10) confirmed the news after Victoria bravely went to the police to report Lee's horrific crime.
Supported by Moira Dingle (Natalie J Robb) and the police, Victoria recalled her ordeal in a video interview in sensitively-portrayed scenes. Afterwards, she was encouraged to take a pregnancy test.
The episode's closing scenes saw Victoria return home to see the police taking away evidence from her bedroom, which will now be examined for forensics and potentially used against Lee in court if he is charged.
The police presence in the village alerted Diane Sugden (Elizabeth Estensen) and Aaron Dingle (Danny Miller) that something was seriously wrong – and Robert was also called back to the village from work commitments shortly afterwards.
Speaking to Diane, Aaron and Robert inside, an emotional Victoria told them about Lee and explained: "I let him in and he forced himself on me. He raped me – and now I'm pregnant."
Meanwhile, Friday's episode gave viewers hope that Jacob Gallagher (Joe-Warren Plant) may still be rescued from the clutches of his abuser Maya Stepney.
Jacob is currently staying in a hotel with Maya (Louisa Clein) while they plan their next move. Although Maya is trying to restrict his contact with his family, Jacob is keeping her in the dark about the fact that he still has his mobile phone.
While Maya was out for a while, Jacob received an emotional phone call from his ex-girlfriend Liv Flaherty and dad David Metcalfe.
David took the opportunity to convince Jacob to meet up with him so they could talk things through – and much to his surprise, the teen agreed. Will David be able to convince Jacob to come home?
Emmerdale currently airs weeknights at 7pm on ITV, with extra episodes at 8pm on Tuesdays and Thursdays.

https://www.instagram.com/p/BwPcStUgsuk/?utm_source=ig_tumblr_share&igshid=14ecammdshya7

Weekend Warriors: That’s a Wrap on the Intern
12/6/17
By Kelly Rudolph
Congratulations, you’ve officially survived a semester of my writings and musings! Today is sadly my last day interning at the Greater Columbus Arts Council. From packaging what I assume is a world-record breaking amount of Artists Trading Cards to literally surviving off of Arts Council’s leftover food from meetings, I will definitely miss coming to the office each week. However, just because I’m finished with my internship doesn’t mean I’m finished with Columbus’s amazing arts events.
This Friday, artist Michael Coppage is at the Ohio Arts Council’s Riffe Gallery to talk about his artwork, some of which can be seen in the 2017 Biennial Juried Exhibition, and his long career in the arts The event starts at noon so it’s a perfect way to spend your lunch break. BalletMet is opening The Nutcracker this Friday night at 7:30 p.m. at the Ohio Theatre. I absolutely love The Nutcracker and now that I’m older the show 100 percent reminds me of a Black Mirror episode and I’m all for it. Another great event is COSI’s Polar Express Movie Weekends. From this weekend on, COSI will be playing The Polar Express in their giant theater with hot chocolate, cookies and more. I’m about to break out my penguin onesie and head over to one of their showings.
On Saturday, I’m making my way down to Franklin Park Conservatory for Gardens Aglow. They’ve got everything: elegant displays of poinsettias, seasonal foliage, gingerbread houses and a Paul Busse model garden railway. Please tell me you read that in your best Stefon from SNL impression, if not please look up a clip and reread. ProMusica Chamber Orchestra is hosting an event Saturday at 5:30 p.m. called Beethoven’s Eroica, which features British cellist Natalie Clein and a powerful elegy performed by Anna Clyne. I’m really interested to see their take on such a prominent piece of music. There’s also a performance of Mr. Scrooge by the Columbus Children’s Theatre this Saturday at the Park Street Theatre. There are two performances on Saturday so if I can’t make it to one of them everyone reserves the right to scream “Bah-humbag!" in my face until December ends.
’Tis the season of giving, so what better way to start my Sunday than at The Art of Gifting exhibition at Studios on High Gallery. The annual show features small works from the studio’s members and it’s a perfect opportunity to find locally made gifts for the holiday. The Magpie Consort’s concert …And on Earth: Peace! begins this Sunday that I want to go to especially since I just entered an acapella kick. To wrap up my Sunday adventures, I’m going back downtown to see the Holiday Lights spread throughout downtown Columbus and Columbus Commons. I don’t know if I’ve ever seen more than 320,000 lights at once, but it seems like something I should do before heading back to campus to prepare for my final exams.
Well…I guess that’s a wrap on my Weekend Warrior blogs. Thanks for sticking with me for these past few months and like always share your weekend adventures with us by using #artmakescbus. Over and out.
Kelly Rudolph is a soon to be former marketing intern at the Greater Columbus Arts Council and will oddly miss that 22-flight elevator ride to the office each week.
