parallels between SCREAM 2 & SCREAMVI
SCREAMVI SPOILERS
- both take place at a college campus
- it’s the first time the main characters leave woodsboro
- the love interest wasn’t the killer
- families of a previous killer are targeting the final girl. (mrs loomis for sidney, richies family for sam)
- both families are avenging sons
- at the reveal, sam says mindys name in the same tone sidney said gales when she thought she was ghostface
- act three takes place in a theater. the abandoned theater for 6 and the windsor theater department for 2
- a film student is a killer (mickey and the students in the beginning)
- tara punches gale like sidney punched gale
- a character that was shot and thought to be dead ends up alive (gale and kirby)
- a character that was stabbed multiple times ends up alive (dewey and chad)
- tara yells out for chad and sobs as he’s being stabbed. gale sobs and watches through the glass as dewey gets stabbed
- sam and tara try to lure ghostface at the park. randy stalls ghostface while on call at the campus
- ethans reveal is a call back to mickeys reveal while quinns is a call back to mrs loomis
- quinn and ethan represent mickey, both being unstable and unpredictable like him. detective bailey represents nancy loomis in the fact that she’s grieving and wants total revenge

We need a Scream video game im the style of DBD/F13/TCM/etc, mixed with Among Us.
I want a game full of characters from the movies (including especially my useless faves). You have them run around like chickens trying to survive Ghostface, all while players have to work together to figure out who Ghostface is.
Ghostface players can be solo (a la Scream 3), an Iconic Duo, or a team of 3-4. And any character can be a killer! Maybe you can pick different motives? Each character will have 2-3 preset motives you can choose from, including the canon motive for canon GFs.
I want them to be voiced by the actual actors. And I want them to have special voice lines with each other; at least characters who have some form of relationship, for sure.

I have a prediction on Ghostface's arcade ending in Mortal Kombat 1.
It's gonna be revealed that it's every Ghostface from the movies but every probable Ghostface in alternate timelines
Meaning these could be alternate Ghostfaces
Scream 1:Tatum and Randy as Ghostface
Scream 2:Hallie and Derek
Scream 3:Dewey
Scream 4:Jill and Rebecca
Scream 5:Amber and Tara(see my Tamber au)
Scream 6:Sidney Prescott and Gale Weathers

I haven’t seen anyone talk about this, but what exactly is Samantha Carpenter’s deal??
She sees visions of Billy goading her, enabling her to kill people, and we can infer that she’s been having them long before the events of Scream 5.
And everyone’s explanation is that being a killer is “in her blood.” But it can’t be that simple. There are naturally psychological reasons that can make a lineage of killers, but I just don’t see that being true for her?
Billy killed as a righteous act, to punish Maureen for ruining his family. The Woodsboro killings a year later happened, presumably as a continual punishment for Maureen: destroy her family like she destroyed his. But Billy enjoyed killing. Both he and Stu revelled in taking lives away, that much seems evident. “It was like he was making a movie.”
Nancy Loomis killed to punish Sidney for taking away her son. Randy insults her son, and she sees red and kills him; it’s an act of rage. Nancy’s reason for killing isn’t “psychotic,” it’s delusional. It comes from a place of not only a mother’s hurt, but one where she places blame on Sidney and Maureen for everything: not her murderous son, not her cheating husband. Sid and Maureen.
Sidney’s entire maternal side of the family is filled with a similar story. Roman, killing to punish Sidney because Maureen chose the life of her choosing over the son she didn’t want to have. Jill, killing to have even a small amount of Sidney’s fame.
Sidney and Sam both have killed to protect themselves and others, but Sidney has always killed out of necessity. A kill that will get her out of this nightmare as soon as possible.
Every kill Sam has done is a choice to mutilate instead of getting it over with like Sidney or Tara. She did it to Richie and now, his family.
Horror — especially slasher — gets muddled when you think about how psychology actually works instead of throwing around words like “psycho” like they all mean the same thing.
I think whenever Sam kills, she finds a comfort in the fact that her father is Billy Loomis. She can use it as an excuse, a safety net. It’s okay that she feels enjoyment in butchering the people she’s killed because her biological father was a serial killer, and it’s not indicative of who she is. She can blame him for it.
But the hallucinations. It’s not Billy Loomis. His face is always off. How would she know his voice? It’s not him. And it’s not some “killer instinct” she passed onto her. There is something psychologically different about Sam than there was Billy or his mom.
And holy shit I really need to know what it is, because this “she’s like this because her dead father who she never met killed people” is getting on my nerves.
