how do each of the girls' careers pan out from now/after they disband?

naira: fades into a distant memory in korea (intentional). ends up becoming sort of a trophy wife (unintentional) who’s famous for being famous. she takes cute little roles every once in a while and has one critically acclaimed move then she fades away.

juniper: never touches a music studio ever again. immediately does a louis vuitton unisex collection with pharrell like a month after the disbandment. supermodel status! very very mysterious (borderline secretive) about her private life.

melanie: gets into a huge controversy after the disbandment for ditching korea and having a liam payne moment in an interview. but she manages to make a huge push in the west and manages to be extremely successful. sold out arenas, 6 nights at msg, etc.

emmy: ends up becoming creative director of apricus! after a very successful solo career in japan (of course) and winning a couple of oscars.

naryun: gradually pulls herself away from the spotlight. she has a few extremely successful albums, gets married to trenton, opens a pilates studio, then is never heard from again.

heri: avos offer her a position as executive producer of their label and she takes it! ends up being in charge of creating final lineups and approving music/concepts. does a fair bit of producing for the artists housed under studio avos and never ever talks about her time in letalis.

jiseo: crazy rush of success after disbandment for a tell-all interview she did. frequently collaborates with melanie (for some odd reason). also becomes a megastar in the west before retiring to create her own label.

Fëanor is convinced he can easily return home and get the throne of the Noldor and everything he lost back but the Valar give him a warning, should Nerdanel remarry then he shall be stuck in the Hall until the breaking of the world.

Naira/Namid

They were born and raised to a very secluded pack. When N was 17-18, they started sneaking out to the city.

N is a bit of a troublemaker lol.

But good vibes only.

They were engaged for a while when they were in their 20s.

Worst mistake of their life. But it did get N kicked out of their pack.

N was hired personally by Arion/Arianne. It's pretty rare to find a lone wolf in the wild (heh) and without a pack. And... yeah alive period.

Val

How they became a vampire? No one knows. Val surely isn't explaining.

They're very closed off and hardly have any friends.

Val lives with a few other vampires. One or two of them are probably to blame for killing one or two humans.

Which is illegal. But yeah Val bailed them out lol

They used to be a lawyer many years ago.

Val also studied History, which is their true passion. Their memory is scarily accurate.

Maureen/Marius

M brings a tired mom/dad energy to the office that everyone loves and, like, same dude (gn).

They've been working for the rights of the undead for a long time. And they've been retired from being a Reaper for even longer.

If Val is private and mysterious, M is a whole ass enigma.

They prefer to listen and rarely talk about themself.

Out of everyone in the office, they're the closest with Devan. They work well together.

Devan

Devan likes to say that they got the job because someone said they couldn't, and they just wanted to prove them wrong.

Which is probably a lie.

Because of some spoilery historic events, Devan was practically kicked out of Japan. Let's just say it was warranted.

They love getting on everyone's nerves, pushing their buttons and slacking off. Devan brings a chaotic energy that everyone hates smh.

But A can't bring themself to fire them. Devan is really good at their job.

They're very charismatic, amazing at debates and motivating people through their speeches.

Devan's talent is so effortless lol they don't realize half of the time.

Leah/Lucian

L is one of the few sirens who has actually abandoned the sea. It's spoilery to say why but they hate it here lol

They really hate humans.

Probably will put a ‘Fuck Humans’ sticker on your laptop on your first day.

L only accepted the job offer because it benefited them. And they kinda needed one.

People tend to avoid them. Especially in the mornings. It takes at least four cups of coffee to wake them up.

They're usually quiet and dislike speaking up. But when they do, they're usually really crash/blunt.

Cyrus

Man (gn) everyone loves Cyrus. They're such a good guy/girl.

A bit overbearing and noisy but they're really kind. Good vibes, like N would say.

Zombies are probably the ones who have it worse in this society, and Cyrus loves loves helping their people.

They're probably the most passionate about the job.

Literally begged A (who hadn't considered zombies in the first place) to hire them.

Cyrus faintly remembers not being a Zombie. But they like to think that they've always been the same person.

         "You'll need to learn about how currency works while you're here, Naira." He chides softly, laying out several bills and change between them on the table. "Humans and other species made this their means of exchanging goods and services. You might be lucky enough to barter for things you might need here, but it's very rare to meet anyone who will let you have something for free."

          Ironically, this would be the third time he's given a lesson on currency to someone else. Normally he might ask something in exchange for such use of his time, but she had already done so much repair work around the dorm and the Lounge that the scales were beginning to feel... unbalanced, if he had to put a word to it. So he said nothing about favors or payment, making sure that he had her attention before continuing.

         "After all, crafting requires materials, yes? And some things you might not be able to forage for. Or, and I hope that this doesn't happen, what if one of your tools breaks and you can't repair it yourself? A smith who knows how to fix fairy tools would certainly charge you, or refuse to work on it unless you could pay them. Berries and treats don't cut it in that regard, I'm afraid. And..."

          Azul clicks his tongue sharply, narrowing his eyes at her in complete seriousness. "You deserve to be paid what you're worth, Naira. If you decide to clear a debt from the goodness of your own heart, that's one thing. But you'll only be taken advantage of in the long run if you take every project for free. Much as it's useful, as your... fellow associate, it would be a shame to see you burnt out and upset."

          The pout on her face was hard to miss. Not because Azul sought to teach her, but rather because she still didn't see a point to currency. Why perform a service for paper and metal, only to then use it to give someone else a service? Especially when they can just do the things for each other!

          Was it really that rare for Clumsies to just. . .do things for each other?

          Why are they so weird? The more Naira learns about them, the stranger they get. Despite her growing fondness, the confusion seems to be matching that in spades.

          Still, Azul is trying to do her a kindness. With this whole thing of exchange, maybe she should do something nice for him in return.

          So it's along with his initial questions that she nods. Naira is aware that people ask for currency for their things. It's why she prefers foraging. . .but he's right. Not all the time will it be available. And her tools. . .Naira loved her tools! Her first hammer was by far one of her greatest treasures. That feeling she got from finishing her first project, the joy she had when others told her 'good job'. She can't imagine her tools breaking, she takes such good care of them, the memories they hold! How they fit perfectly in her grip when she's working!

          Getting someone to fix them would be imperative to her. And. . .he's right. It would be easy for someone to take advantage of her in those situations. As well as taking advantage of her good nature and desire to just craft and enjoy what she does. While she's had burn out at least once here at NRC, she hated the feeling. All the fairy did was spend an entire day sleeping, and then the next in solitude until she could look at her projects again.

          Azul was trying to help prevent that, and that was very nice of him. Still, asking for currency for her work just felt so foreign and weird. It was going to be hard to do. Her wings droop in a mixture of confusion and mild worry. "So. . .wha' do you think I should do then, Azul? So I don't burn out?"

Speaking at the annual lecture organised by The Niche, an online publication, Amaechi accused Bala Usman of documenting false narrative in her book titled: “Stepping on Toes: My Odyssey at the Nigerian Ports Authority.” In the book, she chronicled her emergence and struggles while she served as managing director of NPA. Amaechi said he had been refraining from responding to the claims in her book, stating the lies were just too many. He claimed that as managing Director of NPA with N2.5m approval limit, she approved a contract of N2.4bn. But in a statement she personally signed on Saturday, Bala Usman asked Amaechi to “please grow up and stop all these lies”. She said she took time to respond to the allegations levelled against in the book, wondering why Amaechi was after her. “Recent newspaper reports of false claims attributed to the eternally petty ex-Minister of Transportation, His Excellency Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi, about me did not come to me as a surprise. “In his over two decades in public office, Nigerians must be used to the fluidity with which he tells lies, manipulates facts, and talks out of turn. 3. what's your worst and best memory from your trainee days?

juniper finishes reading out the question to the girls, glancing between the girls to motivate one to start the group off. sienna mutters, "that's kinda heavy," under her breath, gaining quiet chuckles from the other six.

"um, i'll go," emmy offers with a flip of her hair over her shoulder. "worst memory... learning the wrong version of a song for our famous monthly evaluations. karin was not happy about that. best memory has to be being picked for the letalis lineup."

her cheeks pinken as the girls 'aww' in adoration of her happy memory.

"my worst memory might be getting cussed out by a senior for using their favorite room to practice." naira speaks up, a hint of bitterness in her tone.

melanie peeks her head out to face the older girl excitedly interrupting: "name drop! who was it?" naira shakes her head as the others join in on melanie's exclamation. "never that," naira wags a finger at the blonde.

"my favorite memory was prank calling said senior every night for like two weeks straight with yeeun." juniper reaches over to high-five naira at the memory they both share.

"okay, my best memory is absolutely those prank calls." juniper begins, her voice breaking from the joy in her laugh. "but, uh- worst memory?" she sighs, dropping her excitement. "throwing up —literally, in front of johanna... who's the company chairwoman."

"basically the woman who could kill our careers off in an instant if she really wanted to." sienna adds in, receiving a glare from the group's leader.

"not helping."

"i'll go!" sienna perks up, a bright smile illuminating her features. "best memory was without a doubt seeing mason for the first time." the others react with a mix of belly laughs and playful eyerolls.

"for context, mr. winters is our cfo..." heri speaks up quietly, one of those who had thrown her head back in laughter.

"mr. winters indeed." sienna bites at her bottom lip, getting lost at the thought before juniper cleared her throat, commanding the australian's attention.

"uh, worst memory is probably..." she sucks in a deep breath as the others bow their heads in anticipation of what she would say next. "losing my mum."

after a brief moment of silence, melanie slowly speaks up to continue. "i'll try to make this quick..."

she pauses to think for a moment.

"if you weren't ready, why would you go?" emmy mutters, receiving a shushing from both naryun and juniper.

"worst? when i snapped my ankle messing around in heels with sienna." the two giggle as melanie reaches out to hold the younger girl's hand gently. "best memory was being picked to debut with these girls."

heri clears her throat before beginning cautiously. "worst memory... getting sent back to primary training after i bombed an evaluation." she winces at the memory as several others stifle laughs of their own. "my favorite memory? i think it was getting my makeup done professionally for the first time for screen tests. that was so much fun."

naryun, the last to contribute clasps her hands as she thinks to herself. "my worst memory is kind of stupid?" she makes eye contact with emmy who belly laughs in realization of what naryun was planning to say.

"okay, stick with me here. i went to this restaurant with my ex-boyfriend and he bailed on me," the others join emmy in elation as naryun fights to speak over the collective laughter.

"so i'm sitting there trying to explain to the waiter that i'm a trainee- an unpaid fucking kpop trainee. and his manager refuses to let me leave without paying, so i have to call my dad to come down to the restaurant and pay for me. he was not happy with me." she huffs at the memory, rolling her eyes.

"favorite memory though, when emmy and i chopped our hair the day before screen tests out of rebellion."

4. is there anything you regret abt your trainee days?

"rapid fire?" juniper leads the discussion once more, receiving nods from the other six who take a few moments to come up with their answers.

she then begins: "not talking to more seniors before debut."

melanie speaks up next, "rushing to debut."

heri nods, "not asserting myself."

with a hum naira bounces off of heri's regret: "taking everything too seriously."

"not getting out enough," and "being too critical of myself." are naryun and emmy's regrets.

sienna closes out with a low, "taking my mentors for granted."

6. is there something you think sets you apart from other idols in the industry?

emmy is the one to speak up first, catching the others off guard, "personally, i think the thing that sets us, as a group, apart from other idols is the fact that we know each other so well. i can anticipate anyone's next move- without having to think twice about it."

the others smile to themselves, a gentle silence enveloping the seven.

naira clears her throat as she sits up a little straighter.

"we may not be the best of friends, but i wouldn't choose another group of girls to go through this life with. we're family, shit happens- a lot." a chorus of giggles breaks out between the others at her bluntness.

"but these are my girls."

         "I'm more used to taking photographs, but I hope this is something you like too." Aite hums quietly, setting down a box that rattles faintly as it's nudged towards her. They tilt their head at her thoughtfully, amusement brightening their eye. "It's okay to say if it sucks, but at least you can improve on it if you want to."

          Underneath the soft cream colored paper, a handmade wooden puzzle box waited to be examined and hopefully used. The panels on the front had various symbols painted on them and could be flipped over with the press of one of the switches placed along the sides. It was based on a memory game that they had seen somewhere else a long time ago - one that could be updated and expanded on if one liked to tinker and build.

          And, it always helped to keep one's memory sharp.

          The little fairy stares at Aite with a newfound curiosity. If she was to understand, this clumsy was different too.

          Nothing wrong with them per se, but enough that it caught her attention! More so that they even got her a gift to fiddle with! Its with adoration that she looks at the puzzle game. How quaint! Clumsy objects always fascinated her and they always had neatest little things.

         "--I' doesn't suck! Clumsies have tha cutest toys!" Plus, it's one she's never seen before. After a moment, she presses one of the buttons on the side and watches the panel flip. After a moment, she presses another one, before looking back up at Aite. She reaches in front of her and pats the ground. Naira wants him to sit with her! They can play the new funny game together!

Yuu’s attention is brought to Naira again from the pats, her gaze questioning as the fairy chimed and jingled after her mention of the boy who’d merely been treated as no more children’s story in effort to preserve their youth even in times of hardship. It was a favorite for the children of the orphanage Yuu had grown up in, and obviously a favorite of hers too when she was that young, but as she grew she thought nothing of it other than considering it some kind of folk story. It was much the same with the fairies, fae, people that were animal-people and merpeople alike; they were all nothing more than stories or the occasional raving of some sailor that the people in her own world would simply deem crazy. 

Perhaps the world she was living in really was a book, her memories of her own home having stopped on the day she was returning her own and the other children’s of the orphanages library books. The thought of her potentially wishing to leave her own world in favor for a world within a story wasn’t too out of the ordinary, especially not for someone such as her that was nearly 18 and as such was about to be set off on her own. She was as much an outcast in her own world as she was in this one, the cardinal difference between the two being that in this world at least she seemed to be much more accepted. The people and other creatures alike didn’t seem to care what she was or of her past, and though she was mocked for being magicless that was still a lot better than the types of things she was mocked for back home. It was nice having friends in this world, and having people who honestly cared for her well being was a pleasant experience; she may have remained shrouded in a air of mystery as Yuu wasn’t very vocal about her life back home but the same was said of almost everyone else at the school too and the fact no one pushed to find out more was beyond appreciated. 

She’d honestly begun to wonder if she really wanted to return home; there may not have been a lot a magicless person could do in a world such as this but she had already managed to work diligently for the school itself. Who was to say she couldn’t just keep doing that? Deuce had also mentioned to her once that there were also other people who were in positions where magic wasn’t necessary so the potential of exploring that idea was on the table too. But, she’d also felt guilty in thinking such a way, the children she used to read stories too and help cheer up when they believed no one wanted them and that’s why they were in the orphanage pulling at her heart. She always served as the elder sister figure, and though it was entirely possible for another person to fill such a role she knew that there were at least a couple of children that were likely wondering what actually became of her. It was a complicated situation, and honestly served as one of the most stressful things Yuu had the displeasure of frequently dealing with; not that she was about to spill her guts to anyone about it. After all, everyone else here had their own problems and didn’t need to concern themselves over her well being. 

Now wasn’t a good time to depress herself with such thoughts though, as she watched Naira move from her shoulder down to the mattress and then towards the cookie, a soft smile formed on her lips at the small kiss in turn. “I’m going to take that response as you like it, well I’m glad.” Even if she did end up using someone else’s threading, but Epel would probably understand. “You be sure to let me know if something happens to it again though, I’ll make sure to buy a sewing kit from Sam’s just in case.” And Yuu being, well Yuu, Naira could be assured that she’d keep such a promise. 

          The notion of scary fairies for a second made Naira pause, then nod. Malleus was a fairy and he would be plenty scary if Naira hadn’t gotten to know him. He was only frightening because he was a dragon. Draconic energy can be overwhelming, and to be fair, Naira and her kin have a rather. . .unpleasant history with dragons. And merfolk, to be fair. Between one simply killing them for pleasure, and another treating them like playthings with no second thoughts about drowning them all. . .yeah. She could easily say she hated them! In fact, she was absolutely sure she was going to actively chase all of them away from her and from Ramshackle!

          This was her home now. And Yuu was her clumsy! They needed to get their own!

          But just like Yuu, she had made friends with the students here. She doesn’t mind sharing her space with them, and actually enjoys their company! If only Yuu could see the island. Only thing better there are the fairies, in her opinion. But if she likes that childish wonder that comes from seeing them. . .a whole tree full would make her year! Especially since more fairies had cropped up whose jobs it is to visit clumsy children too? Maybe she can ask a friend or two to visit Yuu. To make her happy so when she goes back home she can talk about it. Then again. . .maybe not. Naira was more than enough to fill that role! But the mention of a boy raised by fairies, well, that sounded awfully a lot like her own boy! But he doesn’t talk to anyone outside the island. . .

          That bitch he invited back one day must have run her mouth. There’s a small flare of anger, before she pats at Yuu’s cheek, then points to herself. She begins speaking, detailing how she knew the boy because he was her boy. Albeit all the fairies helped out, and he had been with them long before the fires took out their trees. How he had been accepted by their new mother like the rest of the fairies. Of course, this was nothing but bells and chimes to Yuu, but Naira was so passionate and happy talking about her boy, how much she loved him and how proud she was. Although, he wasn’t raised by them. That was one detail that girl got wrong. He had come to them as is, he just stopped aging once arriving at the island because no one ages on the island. But they taught him how to survive there, and treat him as a large fairy, she recounts. He had even been around them so long he started developing fairy traits! Like their pointed ears!

          Fairies were weird in the sense that at least for Naira’s kind, existing on a sentient island with a will of its own, she was sure she’s visited Yuu’s world before. After all, they can reach far and wide with many different places and people. She knows of England, but isn’t sure if people here do as well. So there’s a deep recognition in her eyes and in her chimes and jingles.

          The topic of magicians is one she’s aware of, but thinks nothing of them. She saw enough of them when visiting that other school. All the loud festivals, and those really weird flowers! Hiding in pockets kept her safe, but it was definitely enough of a trip for her for a while.

          Although. . .Yuu is definitely on to something as the fairy finally calms down once more. It was significantly more dangerous here. Although Naira has much more protection and assistance from the dangers she faces at home, these new ones are really scary! Especially when they don’t know how to deal with it either! There’s an agreeing nod, before she turns to look at her mattress. Hopping off Yuu’s shoulder, Naira flutters next to the mattress, and runs her hand over the stitching for a moment. After a few seconds, she flutters down to grab the cookie off the table, and flutter back over to Yuu, and kissing her on the cheek before holding out the cookie to her. Shes grateful! And thinks that Yuu did so great!
