I’ll Protect You.
Prompt #67: “I’ll protect you.”
Pairing: Felix/Nadia
Words: 1,312
Summary: When Nadia entered a relationship with Felix, she knew there was going to be many challenges, the biggest one was making sure to not get caught. Things have been going well until the pair are confronted by Klaus and some other Ministry members who have been tasked with the capture of the Dragonkin. Now Nadia has to choose: will she stay with Felix, or will she turn her back on Gedonelune?
“Well isn’t this just fantastic?” Felix’s voice was cold and sarcastic as he sent out a wave of miasma, knocking down a group of Ministry members that were rushing in their direction.
“How did they find us?” Nadia asked shakily.
“Tsk, you should know.” Felix retorted.
“What exactly is that supposed to mean?” Nadia turned to Felix and watched as he sent a glare in her direction.”
“As if you don’t know.”
“No, as a matter of fact, I don’t know. So how about you enlighten me?” She was getting irritated at this point. Not only was she having to deal with the Ministry but now Felix was in another one of his moods and she was not having it right now.
“I’m saying that maybe you have something to do with this, maybe you weren’t careful.”
“UGH” Nadia’s hand was engulfed in flames and as she swung downwards, the ground surrounding them was set ablaze. “Listen, we can discuss this later, right now we need to get out of here.”
“I’m afraid we can’t let that happen.” An all too familiar voice called out to them as Nadia’s fiery attack was dispelled with a single incantation.
“Klaus…”
“Nadia?! So...it really was your voice. I was hoping that wasn’t the case but it seems my worst fear has come to pass.”
“What are you doing here?”
“Isn’t it obvious? Thanatos tasked me with the capture of that man behind you.” Klaus explained as he pointed at Felix. “I had a team accompany me to make things easier, but it seems things may be becoming a bit more challenging.”
“So you know these people?” Felix asked Nadia who silenced him as she stared at Klaus, not breaking eye contact for a single second.
Klaus took a step forward and Nadia responded with a step back, her hands held up defensively. “Listen, Nadia, we don’t have to fight. You can make this easier on the both of us if you just hand him over now.”
Though she couldn’t see it, Nadia could feel Felix’s gaze focused solely on her. “Not happening. If you want him, you’re going to have to go through me.”
Klaus’s eyes widened. “Are you hearing what you’re saying? If you truly intend on fighting us, then that will make you an enemy to the Ministry - to Gedonelune. Do you really wish to put yourself in such a position?”
“For Felix….yes.”
Felix’s hand was close enough for her to reach over and take hold of it. She expected him to push her away but was surprised when he just stared before giving her hand a soft reassuring squeeze. Letting her know that he was there to help back her up with her decision.
“I see…” Klaus looked down sadly for a brief moment before drawing his wand, pointing it directly at them. “Funus Captis!”
A bright rope of light shout out at the two of them but Nadia was quick to unleash a counterattack that shattered the rope with ease. She couldn’t afford to let Klaus have an opening, he was strong, not as strong as Felix, but with Klaus’ magic coupled with that of the team he had behind him….things might not turn out too well.
In an effort to buy time, Nadia let go of Felix’s hand before throwing both of hers up in the air. Each had commanded a rock pillar, she then moved her hands in front of them, spreading them outwards which created a wall of rock. Once the formation was created, she sent a massive gust of wind at the wall which began pushing back Klaus and the others. It would take a good number of hits before it would crumble, giving them just enough time to make their escape.
Taking Felix’s hand, she began running, not knowing nor caring where they were going, they just needed to get away from here. By the time they had reached a safe point, Nadia was out of breath and dropped to her knees. A hand rested on her back, rubbing gently as she tried to catch her breath.
“We can’t...stay...here…” Nadia spoke between breaths.
“Yes, I know this, but you can’t be pushing yourself this hard.” Felix’s voice was soft in comparison to earlier.
“Heh...are you worried about me?”
“About you? Ha, a human isn’t worth my time….okay yes, maybe a little.” Felix narrowed his eye, looking away from Nadia who was hunched over laughing. “It’s not funny!”
“I’m sorry it’s just that, compared to earlier, you’re so different. How come?”
“I was...scared, to say the least.”
“Scared?”
“I’m not...exactly good with trusting people yet. When those people came out of nowhere and began surrounding us, it reminded me of the scene back all those centuries ago during the war. It’s stupid but..” Felix laughed dryly. “I thought you had betrayed me. I’m sorry for what I said and how I acted back there. I just...couldn’t cope with the thought of that...horrifying possibility.
Nadia was silent for a moment before she picked herself off of the ground, getting back to her own two feet. “Felix, look at me..”
“What…”
Nadia’s soft smile matched her eyes as she stared at him. “Felix, when we confessed to one another, do you remember what I told you?” A small giggle left her lips when she watched Felix’s face begin to turn a soft red hue. “I told you that no matter what happens, I would allow you to be captured. Even though you told me that you could handle yourself.”
“That still stands, even now.” Felix sighed. “Honestly, you’re the one who should be getting protected.”
“Oh? Do you not think I can handle myself?” Nadia teased while giving him a playful wink, resulting in Felix flicking her on the forehead with a chuckle.
“That’s not it. You know what you did back there as put you in tremendous danger now, right? You’ll be getting hunted down just like I am.”
“I’m well aware of that fact. Even so, I know it was the right thing to do.” Nadia fumbled with her fingers anxiously. “I...I just want others to know that you’re trying to change. B-But I know it’s going to take time!” Nadia blurted out, louder than what she had intended.
“I understand that but it’s not going to be easy. I can’t just waltz right into Gedonelune and deliver an apology for what I’ve done. It’s not going to work like that.”
“I know….”
“Let’s not dwell on that matter. Right now we need to focus on our well being, after all, we’re now enemies to Gedonelune right?” Felix smiled.
“H-Hey, don’t say it like that. You make it seem like we did something really really awful.”
“Didn’t we though? I mean you attacked the Ministry members, right?”
The colour in Nadia’s face drained slightly.
“Don’t worry. Whatever happens, I’ll protect you.” Felix gave a kind smile before scooping Nadia into his arms bridal style.
“H-Hey! What are you doing? Put me down!” Nadia’s face was completely flushed as she tried to wiggle her way out of Felix’s grasp.
“Absolutely not. We need to get a good distance between us and the Ministry. You won’t be able to run much farther in the state you’re already in. So please bear with me.”
As Felix took off, Nadia wondered what awaited in their future. Would she ever be able to return to Gedonelune? Could things turn out for the better? Only time would give her those answers. One thing she was sure of, however, was that Felix’s heart was slowly opening up. Maybe...just maybe, that would be enough to open the gate of possibilities for a better future for the two of them. One where even Felix could live happily in Gedonelune and by her side.

Hewo again! Could I ask that we see some picrews of Persephone and Nadia?
Of course hun! 💙
It took a while to find a Picrew for each of them that had the features needed (hair colour, eye colour, etc.) Persephone was honestly the hardest to find because midnight-purple and dark purple in general seems to be a hard shade of hair colour to find 😅 but I tried my best!

Chapter 1
Chapter 2
A groan escaped my lips as I stared at the numbers on the clock that was resting on the nightstand by my bed. It was still well into the early morning hours. My body felt heavy as I rolled to the side, pressing my face into my pillow. I still had about seven hours before I had to meet up with Nadia and head over to the tea party that those men from last night invited us to. I was honestly still a bit nervous but decided to try and chase away the feeling with some more rest. It was a rather rough next few hours though, all of which were full of tossing and turning, restlessness, and a lot of grumbling. By this point, I decided to say ‘screw it’ as I threw the covers to the side while getting out of bed.
Despite barely getting a wink of sleep, I felt more energized than ever as I walked back from the Night Class cafeteria. A cold shower and a cup of coffee did the trick, at least for the meantime. Luckily it was the weekend, so if I desperately needed to go and lie down and try to get some more rest then I could. I hadn’t realized it until now, but it really did feel dead here in the morning, though, that’s to be expected when basically every Night Class student is nocturnal.
At least the areas above ground were pretty lively. Even though it was still pretty early out, I could see a few students roaming around the courtyard, one of which was...Nadia? It was hard to tell if it was really her at first glance. I had only ever seen her with her prefect uniform, which stood out among the other uniforms. But today she was in something completely different; a light blue shirt and a pair of black shorts, complete with a pair of flip-flops. Her usual one-sided ponytail was now loosely tied as a small breeze swept it back. She must have caught me staring because she gave me a somewhat cocky grin before putting her book down, waving me over.
I smiled as I walked over, giving a quick greeting as I did.
“I see you’re up early.”
“Have been for a while.” I chuckled.
“Really? Did you not sleep well?”
“Not really. But I should have enough energy to get through the tea party.”
Nadia’s face softened, but the worry was still written on it clear as day. “Please don’t overdo yourself today.”
“I won’t.” I answered.
“Good.” Nadia smiled. “I know we still have around an hour before we have to be there, but we can go ahead and head up to the village. Lacan or Felix might be out in the garden, oh maybe Lily is too!”
“Lily?” I recall hearing the names Lacan, Willem and Felix from last night, but this was a name that was completely new.
“Oh yeah, you haven’t met Lily or even Felix yet. Lily has been living with Willem and the others for a couple of months. I met her a couple of times when I went to visit Hugo; who’ll you’ll also probably meet soon. Anyways, Lily is a real sweet girl, she’s always taking care of the garden, she just adores flowers.”
Lily huh? Despite still knowing so little about her, I felt rather excited to meet her. That very excitement was carried with me all the way to the village. The man from last night, Lacan, was the one to greet us. He was practically running and I was a little worried, wondering if he was going to just crash right into us. Of course, he didn’t, but he was pretty excited to know we came and yet a little sad that more hadn’t shown up.
“Is it really just you two?” He asked curiously while peering over our shoulders.
“I’m afraid the others just didn’t have the time.” Nadia explained.
“Well, that’s alright.” Lacan waved. “That just more tea and baked goods for us right?”
“Right.” Nadia nodded while Lacan took her by the arm, excitedly leading her to the house.
I trailed behind them, taking in the views. It was incredible to see that an entire village had been built here by students from the Academy. When Nadia first told me about it, I was a little shocked and a bit saddening that I didn’t have the chance to meet said former students. As I got closer to their house I noticed just how many houses were here, including one that was in the process of being built. I wonder who it belonged to.
Not paying attention to my surroundings, I ended up tripping over something, I couldn’t tell what and fell right into someone. I had regained my posture and was about to step back when I lost my balance after placing my foot on something unstable. This time I knew what it was, a shovel, I was prepared to make contact with the ground but found myself being pulled back to my feet by the person I had bumped into.
“I’m so sorry.” I apologized.
“It’s alright. I should have found a better place to put my things. But at the same time *you should have been watching your surroundings more carefully.”
“Hm?”
My eyes met the ones of the person who helped me. It was a girl around my height, she had long platinum-blonde, almost silver, colored hair that moved with the passing breeze. Her eyes were a bit harder to see by her messy bangs that was caused by the sunhat she was wearing, but I could tell that they were kind. I watched as she titled her head, her hand waving in front of my face.
“Hello? Earth to the stranger in the garden.” She wore a smile as she spoke.
“Ah, sorry I…”
“Is the sun getting to you? I’ve heard that sometimes people look lost like that when they’re not hydrated properly. Perhaps you need some water?”
I chuckled. “No, I’m not dehydrated nor am I feeling unwell. I just..er..” I couldn’t exactly tell her that I was staring. Things could get awkward very fast. Instead, I just cleared my throat and smiled. “I was just admiring the view around here.”
“Oh?” Her eyes looked me up and down as she walked around me. “Come to think of it, I’ve never seen you around here. Are you new?”
“Yes.” I answered with a nod.
“Really?! Why didn’t you tell me sooner?” Lily gasped before rushing over to a patch of vibrant colored flowers. After doing some thinking, her hands plucked one of the flowers skillfully from the patch. In her hand was now a beautiful orange tulip, it almost looked like she had a small flame in her hand. I was about to ask about the flower when she held it up to me.
“For you.”
“H-Huh?”
“Think of this as a welcoming gift.”
The flower was placed in my hands, I was so afraid that I might somehow smash it that I decided to tuck it behind my ears. Lily gasped and clasped her hands together.
“You look so nice with that colour, it really brings out your eyes.”
“Y-You think so?” I unconsciously began to touch the petals of the flower that was nestled in my hair. For some reason I had grown rather embarrassed, almost to the point where I could barely make eye contact with her.
“Hey you two, the tea and stuff are ready!:
*Oh thank goodness….*
With what seemed like perfect timing, Lacan had stepped out of the house and now stood on the porch. He smiled when he saw us, but it faded when he saw that Lily’s hands and outfit were completely covered in dust and semi-wet dirt from her time in the gardening,
“Lily! Were messing with the garden?”
Not seeming to care, she smiled. “I wanted to plant the other flowers. I still have to get the Bearded Iris plants in the ground.”
“You can do that later. Right now you need to clean up. We have company joining us for tea.”
“Oh?” Lily blinked a couple of times and then looked at me curiously. “So you’re here because of the invitation?”
“Ah, yes.”
“I see! I’ll go put on a very special outfit then!”
Lily then began dusting off her outfit before heading up to the porch. She looked back at me as if telling me to follow. As I did, I noticed something that caught me by surprise, or rather shocked me to the point where I grew concerned. Lily had on an outfit that left her back exposed, on her back were three deep wounds that almost looked fresh. They resembled claw marks. I wanted to ask but decided it was best not to, I had just met this person, after all, it would have been rude.
Lacan, however, caught onto my staring and shared a similar sad gaze. “Don’t worry, she’ll be alright.”
Was this guy a mind reader now?
I entered the house with Lacan, but was left behind as he said he was going to check on Lily. He told me that the kitchen would be down the hall and that everyone was already there. When I got there, I could hear a conversation between Willem and Nadia. Worried that I would be interrupting something, I Quietly hid out of view, just enough to be able to keep listening.
“...so she really doesn’t remember anything?”
“No. Her memory has been wiped clean and ever since the attack, it’s gotten worse.”
“I...I can’t believe it.”
So this girl was attacked? Their voices seemed to go quiet and just as I leaned in to listen more closely, I heard someone clear their throat from behind me. I turned around in a panic to see a man with blonde hair and curly white ram-like horns. He seemed to have a disinterested look as he spoke.
“Is eavesdropping some kind of human pasttime? It seems rather rude to me.”
“Er, well I, you see…”
“Save your breath. I could care less.” He muttered while walking inside.
What is this guy’s problem?
I decided to follow suit and was immediately greeted by Willem.
“Hello there.”
“Hello.” I put on my best smile and watched as the man in white robes roll his eyes.
“I’m glad you could join us.” He smiled. “ But just a little word of advice, if you’re going to listen in on one’s conversation, try harder to conceal yourself next time.”
What in the world are these guys?!
“How did you..?”
“Well, as a Dragonkin, my hearing is rather good, I could hear the shift in floorboards near the entrance. But your shadow was also seen clear as day.” He laughed and I found myself wanting to hide my face in embarrassment.
Lily and Lacan joined us a little while later and from there we all sat down and began engaging in small talk as we drank our tea and enjoyed the baked goods. During this time, I was learning more about Dragonkin, Willem was very thorough in his explanations and it was incredibly interesting to listen to. Even the man in the white robes, who I learned was Felix, seemed to enjoy sharing stories from a faraway past. There was a small break of the conversation which led to silence befalling us. During the silence, Lily had shifted in her seat, asking to be excused to go get some fresh air.
When she left, I noticed that the atmosphere in the room had changed drastically.
“It’s her back I’m sure…” Felix looked away sadly.
“Felix…:
“You can’t keep blaming yourself for what happened.”
I was about to ask, but held my tongue instead. Nadia beat me to the question anyways.
“What exactly happened?”
The three men all exchanged looks, each of them going silent before Felix spoke up.
“I asked Lily to join me for a stroll on the usual path.” Felix explained. “ We had just reached a clearing in the path right by the flower field that Lily loves so much. The weather was absolutely gorgeous and just as we were about to take a break and rest in the grass. That’s when...it happened.”
Felix stopped for a moment, going quiet as he gathered his thoughts. “It all happened so fast, this magic beast came out of nowhere, it looked like a Chimera. It charged right towards us, specifically me. Even if I had managed to cast a spell, I would have still been injured. But just as I was prepared for the blow, Lily...she...she stepped in front of me and threw her arms around my neck, taking the blow. The scream she let out, it was unlike anything I had ever heard before. I tried healing her wounds but nothing happened, so I brought her back home right away.”
“It was a really gruesome scene.” Lacan recalled. “Felix ran in here with his robes stained with so much blood. I really thought we were going to lose her. Luckily Willem was here though, he knew of a way to stop the bleeding, but...we couldn’t heal the wound. That’s why the wound on her back looks so fresh, it’s because those markings are cursed.”
“Cursed?” The words left my mouth before I could stop them.
Lacan nodded. “Yes. Lily’s powers were sealed and her memory wiped clean. She’s stuck in her human form, almost like she’s been reset.”
*Human form? So does that mean that Lily was a Dragonkin too? I asked myself silently while listening on.
“She also can’t stay sitting in one place for too long, nor can she have fabric touching her back. It gives her a tremendous amount of pain and has made it a bit more difficult for her to even do her usual tasks.”
“But our lily is a real fighter.” Lacan smiled. “She still takes care of the plants and she’s been writing down in her journal whenever her memory starts giving out. She’ll get through this, I mean, she has all of us to support her.”
“That’s right.”
“But what if she doesn’t get better? What if she’s doomed to this kind of lifestyle? This is no way for her to live!”
Felix shouted before getting up from his seat, rushing out of the room and slamming a door that must have been down one of the halls. Willem had tried calling out to him and was about to get up as well but was stopped by Lacan before he even could.
“Let him be, Willem. He needs some space, you know he always comes back to us when his mind is cleared. Now is no different.”
“Yes, I suppose you’re right.”
As the others began some small chatter, I looked down at my plate and teacup. There was so much that was going on that I didn’t feel like even finishing up the rest of it. In fact, I could really use some fresh air right about now…
“May I be excused?”
“Hm?”
“Is everything alright?” Nadia asked.
“Yes, I just need some fresh air.”
“Go right ahead.” Willem softly smiled. “A lot has happened and I send my apologies for making you go through it.”
“The porch is open!” Lacan beamed as he changed the subject. “We even have some chairs set up so you get a really pretty view of the garden.”
“Thank you.”
I gave a thankful nod and pushed my chair out, quickly removing myself away from the table and the area in general. There was so much to process and the fact that such a beast could cause such harm to people who were merely taking a stroll worried me. My mind couldn’t take it, so I thought fresh air could help. But as I stepped out onto the porch and sat down in one the nearby chairs, I remembered something. *Wasn’t Lily out here too?* Just as I thought that, my eyes focused in on a figure who was standing over a patch of flowers. I could tell right away that it was Lily.
She was wearing a completely different outfit, a backless rose-coloured sundress. Seeming to notice my presence, Lily turned to face me, a smile rose to her face as she gave a small wave, heading in my direction. I could see her face more clearly this time and almost immediately I was drawn to her eyes and the smile she had was making my heart thud.
“Are you about to leave?” She asked almost sadly.
“No, not yet. I just needed some fresh air,”
“Oh thank goodness…”Lily sighed. “I was a little worried.”
“Worried?”
Lily nodded. “I really wanted to keep talking to you, I can tell that you have a kind heart.”
“A kind heart huh?”
“Well you’re also pretty interesting and there’s not a lot of new faces that come around here. So seeing you here is a real treat!”
“You mean, you don’t see a lot of people? What about when you go into town?”
“Going into town is rare for me. Willem says it’s safer is I stay here in the village, but he still lets me go into town as long as I’m with one of them. Although, going into town right now isn’t an option since there was an incident that occurred recently. I’m not sure what happened but when I heard Willem talking about it, I felt...uneasy, yes that would be the best term to describe it.”
Strange, this was the first time I had heard about this happening, and with the academy being so close to the town, it’s a wonder that this kind of information wasn’t disclosed. Though, I suppose if such information was given out, then it could cause panic to ensue. Still...this seems pretty serious, I wonder what happened?
“I wouldn’t worry about it too much.” Lily spoke as she sat down in the chair next to me. “Willem said that the people at the Ministry would take care of things.”
“I suppose that’ll offer some relief.”
Lily nodded and before I knew it, we dived into a deep conversation. Even though I had just met her, it felt like Lily and I had known each other for a while, we just seemed to hit off really well. A couple of hours had passed before Nadia had stepped out onto the porch, asking if I was ready to go.
“You’re leaving already?” Lily looked at me sadly.
“I’m sorry, Lily. I really wish I could stay longer.”
“Me too! Will you be able to come over tomorrow?”
“I start classes tomorrow, if I didn’t have them then I’d love to come back to see you.”
“Classes? Does that mean you go to the academy nearby?”
I nodded and watched as Lily fumbled with her hands, finally resting them on her lap. “Is there any way that we could still keep in touch?”
That was a good question, was there a way we could? If there was, I’d love to take the opportunity.
“Magic notes.” Nadia responded.
“Huh?”
“I think Persephone should have given you some. You two could write to one another.”
“Really?”
“Where can I gets some?”
“I have some.” Willem responded from the doorway. “I think sending magical notes to one another would be a wonderful thing for you, Lily. It’s wonderful to see you making some new friends.”
I watched as Lily practically jumped out of her seat with excitement. “Please teach me how to use it!”
Willem laughed. “Alright, alright. I’ll teach you in a little bit.”
“Thank you.” Lily smiled before looking back at me, holing out her hand. “I’ll be sure to write to you every day, i-if you don’t mind of course.”
“I would really like that.” I took her hand and gave it a few shakes before leaving with Nadia.
The sun was still shining brightly by the time we got back to the academy. Nadia and I said our goodbyes before parting our separate ways. I must have been grinning the entire time as I walked back to my dorms because when I got back to my room, my face hurt. What was it about Lily that made me feel this way? I wasn’t sure of these feelings, but I knew that I wanted to see her again….
-------------------
Nadia: I’m happy that they got along so well with Lily.
Persephone: You mean the new student?
Nadia: Yeah!
Persephone: I guess that explains that goofy grin they had on their face while going to their dorms.
Naida: I can see them getting along well in the future.
Persephone: We can talk more about this later. For now, let’s get on with the preview.
Nadia: Their first day of classes and their trial begins, how will things go, and what familiar faces await them?
Persephone: Find out soon in the chapter ‘Classes’.

You've got more OCs 👀 I'd like to know a little more about Adonis, Fenrir and Odette. Also, I'd like to know how Nadia, Sephie and Lily get along if they've crossed paths yet or not. I love them all! 💕💕💕💕
👀 I won’t give out too much info about Fenrir, Adonis or Odette because they all play a very big roles in the series and will (later on in the future) have their own romanceable routes in a series I’ve had planned for after the first one. Plus, there will be a very special announcement in the very near future where more info will be given about them.
Let’s begin with Adonis. Adonis is rather harsh and cruel with people, something happened in his past that changed his life and unfortunately not for the better. Both his heart and mind are hellbent on completing a goal that he’s set for himself.
Fenrir is a young man who’s unwittingly found himself in some...rather unfortunate chaos. He’s a very kind man who wants nothing more than to help those around him. He tends to wear a smile, but his eyes are always sad and he seems to be carrying some kind of pain in his heart.
Odette is the the woman shrouded in mystery. Not much is known about her, in fact, there’s only one person left in this world that knows about her and her past and who and what she truly is.
As for Nadia, Lily and Persephone, you’re in luck because they’ll be seeing one another quite often throughout the series I’m working on. They might not agree on everything and get into small bickerings from time to time. But overall they encourage encourage one another to their absolute best. They've all been through great losses in their life, but through their friendship, they've been able to support one another and be there whenever they need it.

Chapter 2
Chapter 3
My body moved sluggishly as I made my way to what I hoped was where my first class of the day was taking place. Despite having followed directions that were given me, I had been second-guessing myself all morning. Perhaps staying up all night writing letters to Lily back and forth was a bad idea, especially since today was my first day of classes and I desperately wanted to leave a good impression. I checked over my direction list once more before putting it away, this was definitely the room.
Inside I could already see people rushing to pick their seats, others were chatting with friends without a care in the world, while at least a couple had their heads lying down on the desk. I took a deep breath before walking in, hoping to not draw any attention. I was already feeling nervous enough, I didn’t need any staring to be placed upon me.
As I navigated my way through the class, I found a nice spot near one of the corners in the middle. There weren’t a lot of people there, so I chose a seat next to the wall where there was no one else sitting near. I placed my stuff on the desk, prepping myself for whatever it was that was about to happen. Just then I heard a small pop and a piece of paper came floating down onto my desk. I read the contents, a smile on my face when I realized it was from Lily.
‘Hey, today’s your first day of classes right? I want to wish you good luck! Oh yeah, that reminds me, Willem should be teaching one of your classes at some point, tell me how it goes! Actually, scratch that, tell me how every day goes! I can’t wait to hear back from you.’
I quickly stashed the note away, putting it in my bag. I would have written her back, but with only a few minutes before class, it wouldn’t exactly be the wisest decision. Still, I couldn’t for when I had a chance to write back. Her words, even though I couldn’t hear them, oddly made me feel warm. A few minutes later the bell for classes began to ring out and everyone began to scurry to their seats. The door opened about a minute later and in stepped a man with gray hair. He had a kind face as he stepped to the podium in the center of class. His eyes scanned the room and when they fell onto me he smiled.
“Ah, I see you’re the new student. Would you please introduce yourself to the class?”
Standing up slowly, I cleared my throat. “Hello, my name is …” after giving my name, I slowly sat back down in my seat.
“Thank you. I’m happy to have you attend my class. My name is professor Merkulova and I hope you’ll find the academy life enjoyable. Now, let’s begin today’s lesson will be about potions, today we’ll be making different potions, each one with healing properties. I’ll be having ingredients for all three appear on your table, along with recipes for each one. You’ll be able to choose one which will be used on an Umbra near the end of class. You’ll be graded based on the effectiveness of it. Oh, one more thing, after preparing the potion, you must use the incantation ‘Eliminate that which plagues, Bono malum superate!’. Now, let us begin. Aperio!”
With the swish of his wand, a number of ingredients appeared on our desks, my eyes scanned over each one. I wasn’t the most confident in my ability to make potions, so I went with the most simple one on the list; a potion that would diminish the pain from headaches and migraines. I looked at the paper in my hand and grabbed what I needed which was one ginger root, a bundle of peppermint and a lemon wedge. I read over the steps carefully, grabbing my jar, making sure to layer the pieces of peppermint neatly. Once I was satisfied with it, I grabbed my wand and held it up, rolling up my sleeves as I did so.
“Eliminate that which plagues, Bono malum superate!”
A small light began to build at the tip of my wand before shooting out in the form of a small ribbon which nestled itself into the jar before turning to liquid. I wasn’t sure what colour the potion itself was supposed to be, but here before me was a jar with lavender colored liquid. I put my wand away and at that very moment professor Merkulova came over to me. He looked with interest at my potion but said nothing as he continued making his way around the class. For some reason, I was overcome with nervousness that stayed with me until the end of class when we started coming to the front to test our potions.
I watched with interest as one by one, everyone began coming to the podium. A new Umbra was summoned every time and although no one had failed their potion, there were some who had weaker effects than others. When it was my turn to come to the front, I almost tripped over my chair. I calmly recollected myself and navigated my way up there. Merkulova was waiting with a smile and with a swish of his hand a new Umbra had appeared. A bright red pulsating light at the top of its head indicated that it was in severe pain. I handed the potion to the Umbra, who quickly took it in their own hands and drank it rapidly.
I watched with bated breath as the light began to grow dimmer and dimmer until it was gone completely. I looked over to Merkulova who nodded in approval.
“Well done. Your potion has completely healed the Umbra, you’ve earned a perfect score for this assignment. If I may add though, next time, try to be more confident in yourself. You have great magical potential.”
Hearing his words made me practically grin from ear to ear. The smile on my face hadn’t left for a good amount of time, even after classes for the day was over, I was still overcome with joy. I practically had a skip in my step as I made my way back to my dorm, eager to write and tell Lily how classes had been.
‘Classes went well today, I got a perfect score for my potions class and I attained high marks for my others. I will admit, some of the classes are a bit challenging and there are times where I wonder if I’ll be able to pass the assignments for the day. I’m excited to see how it keeps going and I promise to keep you updated for the others.’
Once I finished writing, I gently folded the paper and watched as it disappeared in a puff of smoke. While waiting for a reply, I decided to work on the assignments that were given for us to work on back at the dorms. I was nearly done when I heard a small pop, noticing a small paper unfold on my desk. I quickly opened it and began to read.
‘I knew you would be able to do it! Don’t worry too much about what could happen, focus on doing your absolute best. At the end of the day, you should be proud of your accomplishments. I believe you’re going to pass all your classes and make it as an official student. That was your goal, right? Keep it up and you’ll get there. I can’t wait to hear more about the academy life. I’m kind of sad I can’t be there to experience it too.’
I chuckled as I began writing another letter. This continued for the next couple of hours until it was time to call it a night.
-----------------------
The next couple of days of classes went well, I had another class with Merlkulova and I even attended Willem’s class, which I excitedly told Lily about. She seemed rather surprised that Willem was teaching a lesson regarding rare species of plants, considering that wasn’t one of his strong suits. Regardless, she was thrilled to hear more about my day and was even more excited to hear about what would happen tomorrow. I was about to write another note when I heard a knock on my door. When I opened it, I was surprised at who it was.
“Persephone? What are you doing here?”
“I came to see how things were going. Can I come in?”
“Sure.” I opened the door all the way, allowing Persephone to come in before shutting it. She took a seat on the sofa near the wardrobe, crossing her legs over each other while looking at the stack of letters I had that were piling up.
“Who in the world are those letters from?”
“Huh? Oh, a friend. We met at the tea party a couple of days back.”
“You know, there’s an easier way to communicate so that you’re not wasting all those magic letters, you know.”
“There is?”
Persephone gave a small nod. “Yeah, have you ever heard of a magic phone? As long as you and the person you want to talk to have one, you’ll be able to ‘call and talk.”
My heart seemed to race a little as I listened intently to what she was saying. Just the thought of hearing Lily’s voice again was making my cheeks feel warm.
“Where can I get one?” I asked.
“There’s a shop in town that sells them.”
“Oh….”
“No need to look all gloom and doom.” Persephone sighed. “That look doesn’t suit you at all. Besides, one day I promise to take you into town sometime soon. You can go look for one then.”
“Wait, are you being serious?”
“I’m not going to sit here and be dishonest with you. I mean what I say. Anyways, I’ll let you go on about your evening. I need to get things ready for the first class of the night that I have to teach. I’ll catch up with you later.”
Without another word, Persephone got up from the sofa and left the room, shutting the door behind her. I looked over at the nearby clock, it was well into the evening and quite honestly now would be a good time to try and get some rest. I changed out of my school uniform and into some comfortable nightwear before slipping into bed. It only took me a few minutes to fall into a deep slumber, but despite all the sleep I got, I still felt relatively tired. I would have loved to just crawl deeper in the covers and fall into another blissful trip into dreamland, but alas, I had earlier classes than usual today.
I took a shower, got dressed, and took the marker I had for my calendar, crossing off another day. It’s been four days since my trial started.
“So far so good. I hope I can keep this up.”
I only had nine days left, well six if I didn’t count the weekends when there were no classes. At the rate the days were going, I was sure that the final day of my trial would be here in the blink of an eye. Which was a little worrying. Would I even make it? No, I had to shake my mind of such thoughts and push forward.
I walked into the classroom with confidence this time, sitting down where I usually was for classes. I kept reassuring myself that today was going to be just like all the other days, I had to believe in myself. I had built my courage up with small pep talks to myself, but it all went tumbling down when I saw who walked into the classroom. It was Schuyler…
I gave a small gulp as I watched him make his way up to the board. He had his arms crossed as another person cam in. He had blonde hair and was wearing a Ministry uniform, one that was taught to us in one of the previous classes. He had a stern look about him and for some reason, he seemed almost….regal. I had the color drain from my face though when I saw the two of them standing in the front of the room, side by side.
“Everyone to your seats, now.” Schuyler’s voice was sharp as he watched everyone retreat to their seats if they weren’t already there. “Classes for today will be held outside, so I ask that everyone follow me in an orderly fashion as we head out to the courtyard.”
After speaking, both Schuyler and the man beside him led the way to the courtyard. I had only been here briefly a couple of times, but staying here for the amount of time that we would be, was somehow relaxing.
“Today for class we’ll be practicing offensive magic spells. We’ll be using the four major elements and use them to dispel the Umbra. Now, can anyone tell me the four elements?”
Not a single person raised their hand, so Schuyler decided to call on someone, that someone in particular...was me.
“Go ahead and tell us what the elements are.”
“Earth, air, fire and water.”
“Well done. It appears you know basic knowledge.”
I don’t know whether I should take that as a praise or not…..
“Everyone please grab out your wands. Apareo Umbra!”
Just like Merkulova had done in potions class a few days ago, Schuyler waved his wand, producing an incredible number of Umbras. But unlike the Umbra that Merkulova produced, these ones were able to attack. I forced myself to stay calm and collected as I went after a small group of Umbra that strayed from the rest. I pointed my wand at the group and shouted.
“O great wind, become a blade! Acies Ventos!”
A bright light shot off from my wand as blades of winds slashed through the Umbras. With loud cries, they began to fade into nothingness. After watching them dissipate, I looked over to see that the numbers of the Umbras were dwindling drastically. I knew I had to act fast if I wanted to amass enough points to get a good grade in the class. I took a deep breath, not knowing if it would work, and held up my wand.
“O great power, dwell within mine hand and form a shield, Magia Terra!”
Though it was pretty weak, I had managed to successfully cast a barrier of the earth element to surround me. It was probably only strong enough to hold back a couple of attacks at most, but it was much better than nothing and at the very least it would give me a little bit of time to cast a flurry of different spells.
I chased after another group, focusing on casting larger spells to attack bigger groups. I had done a pretty decent job at eliminating a good number of them, but I was feeling extremely sluggish by the end of it all. I dropped my barrier as I slowly made my way to where Schuyler was. With the flick of his wand, a scoreboard appeared before us. I was a little saddened to see that I wasn’t at the very top, I thought I had given it all…
“You’re the new student, right?”
The man that had been standing over by Schuyler had made his way over to where I was.
“Ah, yes sir, I am.”
“This is your first time dealing with this kind of magic, right?”
“Well, no sir. But it is my first time actually using it for offensive stuff like this. I’ve never used it fighting…”
“You did relatively well considering your skill right now. But you still have a lot of room for improvement. Keep that in mind when you practice at home. If you want to become a student here officially, slacking off will not be tolerated. Especially when I’m the one teaching furthermore…”
Even though it was only a few minutes, it felt like hours had passed by before the man had finished his lecture and left the area. I let out a sigh as I watched the other students making their way back to the Academy, except for one, who looked back at me before heading back my way.
“What in the world just happened? I saw the other professor come and talk with you. He wasn’t too hard on you was he?
One of my classmates, a girl who I had become friends with in the class that Lars had been teaching that day, came up to me with slight worry.
“Not really, but he’s uh, rather confusing.”
“I’ve heard he’s always been like that though.”
“Really?”
“Yeah, hard to imagine that the second eldest Goldstein is this awkward.”
“Oh that’s -- wait….did you say Goldstein?”
I watched as she let out a chuckle. “Yeah, that’s professor Goldstein. Klaus Goldstein to be precise. I guess he was seen as some prodigy or something like that. But I’ve also heard some stories about how scary he was back in his days as a prefect.”
I could see the whole ‘being scary’ bit...
“Anyways, I’m heading back to the dorms, I’ll see you in class tomorrow.”
I nodded. “Yeah.”
I watched as she left and I put my wand away before going back to the classroom to grab my things and head to the remaining classes before heading back to the dorms for the day. The walk back seemed longer than usual today, maybe it was because I had a lot to think about. My magic wasn’t bad, but this is the second time that someone has told me to be more confident in my powers. Perhaps some afterschool practice would be helpful. I sighed as I entered the area of the Night Class dormitories and found Persephone leaning against the wall. When she noticed me, she began to speak.
“Perfect timing. I was just about to look for you before heading to class. We need to discuss something.”
------------------
Nadia: Hm….
Persephone: Something up? You’re not being so annoyingly happy today.
Nadia: *Smiles* I’ll pretend that was a compliment. Anyways, what was it you wanted to talk with them about?
Persephone: You’ll find out in the next chapter ‘A Day Out and Meeting The Potions Master’.
Nadia: Huh? Potion master? Who in the world is that?
Persephone: Find out for yourself.

Note
9 thru 14 for Nadia x Hugo and Perse (is it okay if i call her that?) x Viggo~
Of course it is 💙 and thank you so much for asking!
9: Who remembers what the other one always orders at a restaurant?
For Nadia x Hugo: Nadia always remembers what Hugo orders and what he’ll even order in the future. There are times when Hugo likes to mess with her though and order something that even she couldn’t have predicted.
For Persephone x Viggo: They both actually remember what the others order at the restaurant, they may toss it up a bit every once in a while, but in the end, they still remember, they have sort of a mental list, if you will.
10: Who initiates kisses?
For Nadia x Hugo: Hugo initiates it and honestly leaves Nadia a blushing mess. She can’t handle how romantic he can be and he knows this.
For Persephone x Viggo: Viggo will be the one to start it but Persephone is the one who’ll finish it. She always seems to have a trick up her sleeve to make Viggo become flustered, even if only a little.
11: Who reaches for the other’s hands first?
For Nadia x Hugo: When there’s a chance for handholding, Nadia immediately jumps on it. She finds comfort in the warmth of holding Hugo’s hand; it makes her also feel calm and safe.
For Persephone x Viggo: It’s kind of a switch? Sometimes Persephone will be the one to initiate it first and other times it’s Viggo.
12: Who kisses the hardest?
For Nadia x Hugo: Surprise, it’s actually Nadia! Usually, their kisses are slow and sweet, they take their time and enjoy each other’s company. But sometimes, there’s a longing in Nadia’s heart; she want Hugo to know that she loves him and that she’ll be there for him.
For Persephone x Viggo: Viggo. Viggo wants Persephone to know just how strong his feelings for her are. A slow sensual kiss can turn into a heated passionate frenzy in a heartbeat.
13: Who wakes up first?
For Nadia x Hugo: Nadia does since she’s a morning a person.
For Persephone x Viggo: Viggo usually does, not that he wants to, of course.
14: Who wants to stay in bed just a little longer?
For Nadia x Hugo: Hugo is not a morning person, while Nadia is the complete opposite. She loves being able to start a new day bright and early in the morning. But she finds it hard to do sometimes, especially if she’s with Hugo. He’ll end up trapping her in his arms, initiating a strong cuddle, preventing her from getting up, not that she minds.
For Persephone x Viggo: Both of them love being able to be in bed for as long as they can, but out of the two, it would have to be Persephone. Persephone does this thing, as Viggo calls it, sleep bear hugging. She’ll wrap her arms around him so tightly that sometimes when he gets up for the morning, he ends up dragging her around on the bed before she finally let’s go; sprawling out like crazily in the middle of the bed. He finds this cute, but don’t let her know that.

Note
Ahem,, for the oc asks! 6, 18, 26, 33, 44 for Persephone and Nadia~
What do they look like?
Nadia is pretty short, she has an hourglass figure, crimson red hair and mint green eyes. Persephone on the other hand is taller, standing at 5'6, she has a pear-shaped figure, midnight purple-colored hair and violet eyes to match.
Who do they look up to the most/are closest to in their family?
Nadia has no remaining family members since the death of her parents, she was an only child. Though not related, Nadia happens to look up to Klaus, he's actually been her motivation since her enrollment in the Academy.
Persephone still has family members, but after the death of her father, her mother has cut off all contact between Persephone and the rest of her family. She looks up to Yukiya though and can relate to him on a number of things. She would even go to the ends of the world just to make Yukiya crack a smile.
Have they ever hurt a friend or lost one?
Neither of them have lost a friend, but they have hurt them, even thought they didn't want to, before. Because of Nadia's power as a Seer, she can see when something is about to happen to someone. Altering the future causes a great deal of pain and the curse upon it could even be fatal. Despite this, she'd rather take the pain and push people away than watch her friends suffer.
Persephone tends to push people away on impulse, she's done so ever since she was younger and the habit still hasn't been broken. She loves those she cares about, bu worries that if they get too close, then they might get hurt if they find out about her past.
Do/did they listen to their teachers or are/were they goofing off a lot?
Nadia is very studious and takes her classes seriously. She aspires to be like Elias and one day be at the top of her class. She's come so far since her first day, but still has room for improvement.
Persephone listens well and pays attention, since she's now a deputy prefect, she's been having to take her studies a bit more serious than usual. But that doesn't mean she wouldn't skip class at the drop of a hat if she had the chance.
Do they work? If so, what is it? If not are they looking for one or even want one?
Nadia isn't working at the moment, but she's no too worried about it right now. She's focusing on her studies, but hopes that after she graduates, she find a job that she likes and is suitable for her.
Persephone earns a little bit of Lune by doing an odd job here and there. She hopes to one day make a steady income by doing something that relates to the fine arts.

1, 16, 19, 21, 22, 23, 24, 25 for Persephone and Nadia because I love them both 👀💞
They love you too 😭💙
How many places have they lived?
Both have them had only lived in two places. It would have been three for Persephone, but given the tensions between her mother and the rest of her family, she was unable to move to Solomon for a couple of years.
If they could describe themselves in one sentence, what would they say?
Nadia: 'Hardworking and persistent, I'll do what I can to bring a smile to people's faces!'
Persephone: 'Aloof, but loyal, I'll never betray the people I love.'
Have they ever lost someone close to them? How did it affect them?
Nadia: Nadia lost both of her parents. She grew up in a small village where people feared those with magic. Her parents were able to keep their magic well hidden, but as Nadia grew up and her magic became overwhelming, their secret was out and she was dubbed 'The scarlet witch' The fear-stricken townspeople stormed the house one night and killed her parents. She pnly managed to survive after being forced into a small hidden space under the floorboards. The trauma of that day still haunts her, she's never been able to forgive herself.
Persephone: The tragic passing of her father. Out of her six other siblings, Persephone was the only one to be born with dark magic flowing in her veins. The minute it was discovered, her mother resented her and forced her younger siblings to never make contact with her again. The only person who had given her an ounce of love was her father, when he passed away, she was left all alone with no one to turn to. Because of this, she shoeld herself with a hard exterior, refusing to let people get close to her. She also has a soft spot for people who have went through something similar. She knows how it feels to be alone and doesn't wish for others to go through it alone.
How do they react to praise?
Nadia: Will literally become a flustered mess, stuttering her words and going so far as to sometimes flail her arms in her face wildly; preventing others to see her blush.
Persephone: 'You've got the wrong person.' 'Why would you even say something like that to me?' are just some of the things that you'd hear her say. She's not opposed to getting praised, more or less she's just embarrassed amd tries to play it off like it's nothing. But deep down, she's happy and pretty thankful.
How do they react to criticism?
Nadia: She's welcoming of criticism, she wants to know what she can improve on and the best way to do so.
Persephone: At first, she's more than likely to just to tell the person to get lost, but does listen. She doesn't take this kind of thing lightly.
Are they indoorsy or outdoorsy?
Nadia: Definitely outdoorsy. Since she's an elementalist, she feels calm being outside, surrounded by the elements. There's never been a day where she isn't seen outside enjoying a warm sunny day in the courtyard oe in one of her many other favorite Academy spots.
Persephone: Indoorsy. She'd much rather be in the indoors, sheltered away from the sunlight and just the outside world in general. She'd much rather play with her familiar and hang with her friends in the cafe or in their dorms.
What are their biggest pet peeves?
Nadia: There are quite a few pet peeves, but the biggest one would have be bullies. Nadia can't stand seeing other people be mean to one another. If she catches someone in the act, then they better run.
Persephone: Just like Nadia, she hates bullies, but she also hates when people automatically judge someone as something for what they aren't. Her best friend, Viggo is a prime example of this. Though he may act 'violent' he's actually a pretty nice guy who gets a bad rep from people who like drama and gossip, a bit too much.
Do they have any kind of handicaps? How do they manage them?
While Persephone may not have any, Nadia actually has PTSD from the events of her past. Certain noises can actually cause her to go into a state of anxiety so bad that she's unable to do anything. She once had one during class; she couldn't breathe and ended up passing out, waking up in the infirmary a little while later. Meditation and other breathing exercises have helped ease the symptoms, but one day, she hopes to find a way so that the effects don't have such a large effect on her daily life.

The Hunt Is On
It’s been a little while since the last time I’ve actually posted a story to my blog. But I’m really happy to present this sort of long one-shot fic. I got the idea after the recently released Romance Point slot in Wizardess Heart, I’m 99.9% sure that little plush is Felix and being the absolute lovestruck idiot I am for this man I just couldn’t help myself. So here’s a small story of Felix being a plush and showing his Tsundere side towards a certain red-haired wizardess.
“Hey, did you hear the big news?”
“Huh? What news?”
Gray and I were just leaving the book club session and were walking down the hallway when he brought it up.
“I guess there’s some rumour going around about a new magical creature.”
“S-Seriously?! That’s incredible! Is there a name for it yet?”
“Nope.” Gray shook his head with a smile. “Buuut I heard that whoever catches it will get to name it.” He added happily.
“Catch it? The poor little thing..”
“Huh? Just a second ago you were so excited.”
“I-I am, believe me. It’s just...well, if there are a lot of people trying to catch it, don’t you think it might be a little scared?”
“I suppose you’re right.” Gray put his hand under his chin and looked lost in thought.
“Gray?”
“Ah, sorry, I was just thinking.”
“About?”
“Well, what if we were to catch it, but without chasing after it? Maybe it wouldn’t get so scared?”
“Oh, I like that idea! What did you have in mind?”
“A hole!”
“Gray!”
“Hear me out, Nadia. It’ll be a nice sized hole and I’ll even add cushioning to the bottom of it so that the creature won’t get hurt. Then, when I need to get it out, I’ll use a pail attached to a fishing pole and drag it up like a well!”
“Gray...I have so many questions about this, but the most important one is what are you thinking?! The poor thing would be even more terrified!”
“What if I offer it cookies?”
“Cookies can’t fix every problem.”
“Are you sure? I thought everyone liked cookies, I mean who doesn’t like cookies?”
“Gray…” I chuckled while watching him go on a tangent about cookies.
“But seriously, I think my plan won’t fail.”
“Im sorry to say, but Gray, I have my doubts about it.”
“Hm? Then what would you suggest doing?”
“Well I…”
Huh...what did I have in mind? It was true that I wanted to see the magical creature for myself, but I really didn’t want to go chasing after the poor thing or make it feel like it was in danger. I had to ponder my options carefully but alas, no such idea was popping up in my head at the moment.
“To be honest, I don’t really have a plan.” I sighed.
“That’s okay, maybe on your way back to the dorms you’ll figure one out.”
“Here’s to hoping!”
“What are you two talking about?”
“Uh-oh…” Gray laughed.
“Zeus? What are you doing here?”
“I came here looking for you two.”
“What for?”
“You’ve heard the big news right?”
“I just got done filling Nadia in about it.”
“Then you know why I need you guys.”
“Sorry, but I already have my own plan.” Gray responded confidently. “It’ll be sure to succeed!”
“Tsk! Well, what about you Nadia?”
“To be honest, I have a feeling your plan will involve a lot of chasing. Plus the last time you found a magical creature, you practically scared the living daylights out of it!”
“Come on, that was one time! Besides, I heard that if you catch the thing then the Headmaster will give us extra credit.”
“That’s just a hoax.”
A new voice had entered the scene and right behind Zeus came Elias who had his arms folded on his chest.
“Oh great.” Zeus rolled his eyes.
“You don’t seriously believe you’ll get extra credit for something like this, do you?”
“I sure do. If there’s a chance I can get that, then I’m taking it, I mean, you guys want the extra credit too?”
“Hate to break it to you Zeus, but I agree with Elias here. I highly doubt Headmaster Schuyler would provide students extra credit because they caught a newly discovered magical creature. You’d be in for the biggest scolding of your life, that’s for sure.”
“No way, seriously?! Are you here to suck the fun out of Goldilocks the third over here?”
“Hey!”
“I agree with them too, Zeus. I mean, we’re bound to get a scolding for it, a big one too. But I really want to see what this creature is all about.”
“So…” Zeus stared off into space, trying to process everything Gray said. “So are you on my side or not?”
“Nah, I’m on my own side. Team Gray!”
Gray began waving his free hand around as if he had an invisible team spirit flag in his hand.
“Tsk. Fine then. I’ll just get Hiro and Lucious to help me out with this. Oh and don’t come crying to me when I bring home the creature and actually get extra credit, I won’t be sharing nothin’ with you guys.”
Zeus huffed before practically storming away, leaving just Elias, Gray and I to shake our heads and proceed walking down the hall.
“Oh yeah, I wanted to ask before, but what are you doing here, Elias?”
“Oh, I was in the Archives looking for something. On my way out I heard voices and, specifically Zeus’ and thought he was up to no good again.”
Gray began to laugh. “That’s totally understandable. Everyone in the Night Class usually pop their heads out of the classroom when Zeus starts going on a rampage. It’s like they know when he’s about to stir trouble. I just hope he never releases that foul beast in a classroom ever again.”
“Foul beast?”
“Which one? He has a lot at this point, him included.” Elias remarked.
“Vulcanaux.”
The moment that word came out of Gray’s mouth, we all let out a shudder.
“I can’t believe he’s still summoning dangerous beasts like that.”
“Seriously? I can.” Elias interjected.
The three of us continued our little walk and talk session before heading our separate ways. Gray was going to go to the Night Class cafe and Elias offered to walk me back to the dorms. We discussed some prefect things, like deciding what kind of upcoming classes we were going to teach and so on and so forth. The topic of the magical creatures was brought up again too and much to my surprise, Elias admitted that he wouldn’t mind catching a glimpse of the mysterious new magical creature. It wasn’t every day that you got to see something as rare as that.
When we reached the dorms, Elias and I said our goodbyes before splitting off. The moment I reached my room, I unceremoniously dropped my bag to the ground and lazily plopped down on my bed. I was exhausted from classes and the fact that I couldn’t get the thought of the magical creature out of my head wasn’t helping matters at all.
I ended up lying down on my bed and staring at the ceiling for a few hours, unable to find the will to sleep. Too many thoughts were running through my head at the same time and no matter how many times and methods I tried, they just wouldn’t stop. I had even grabbed a pillow and screamed into it, thinking that in some way, all my pent up tiredness would come crashing into me, spoiler alert, it didn’t. The hours ticked by and before I knew it the sun’s early morning rays of light came pouring in through the window. I realized now that it was far too late to try and sleep now, so I decided to go ahead and get ready for classes.
Perhaps a nice cold shower will wake me up? I thought it sounded like a good idea at first, but boy was I wrong. In the end, I just became this cold shivering mess who couldn’t stop shaking enough to even do my hair or put on any makeup to conceal my sleep heavy eyes. Screw it, I’ll just have to leave my hair down for the day and just put on a little bit of concealer under my eyes, assuming I could. I gave one more look in the mirror and gave a satisfied nod. It wasn’t the best work, but it would have to do for now.
When I stepped outside of the dorms, I noticed that the whole Academy seemed lively; well, livelier than usual that is. I saw Guy walking up ahead and quickly raced to catch up to him.
“Good morning, Guy.” I smiled.
“Oh hey, good morning Nadia!”
“Everyone seems to be in super high spirits, I wonder why?”
“Word through the grapevine is that everyone is desperate to catch some new magical creature. Everyone on the Ladilz team was talking about it and even went so far as to come up with ‘fool-proof strategies’ to catch it.”
“Wow…”
I watched as students raced around; a competitive aura was beginning to fill the air.
“I wonder what Schuyler thinks of this.”
“No one knows.” Guy shrugged. “It seems like he’s kept silent since the rumour was first introduced.”
“Strange..”
Guy nodded in agreement. “Very.”
Augustus had walked up to us a little while later and he and Guy walked to class, leaving me to walk by myself. Which was okay by me, besides, I still had a lot on my mind, so much so that I hadn’t realized someone had been screaming at me until I felt a pair of arms pull me from my thoughts and away from a rather big hole in the ground.
“Nadia? Did you not hear me screaming at you to watch out?”
I looked up to see Gray’s face hovering over mine, a look of worry clouded over and when I looked down, I noticed that I was sitting on the ground, just mere inches from the hole. Gray’s hands still wrapped around my waist and I began to feel my cheeks go warm.
“No, I-I suppose I was too far gone in my thoughts to have noticed. I’m sorry.”
“That’s alright.” He smiled. “Just please keep an eye out on your surroundings.”
“R-Right. Umm…”
“Hm?”
“Do you mind..?”
“Huh - Oh!”
Once Gray realized what I was getting at, he quickly released his hold on my waist and scurried back a little bit. He ran his hands through his hair and chuckled awkwardly.
“Sorry about that.”
“It’s alright…”
I quickly got back onto my feet and dusted off my skirt before offering my hand to help Gray back up to his feet.
“Gray...did you do this?” I asked curiously.
“The hole? Sure did!”
“What? Gray!”
“I told you I was going to make one yesterday, remember?”
“But out here near the courtyard?! Lots of students and professors walk through here.”
“Yeah…” Gray began to chuckle nervously. “I didn’t think about it until it was too late.”
“What do you mean by that?”
“Oh, I mean that Klaus, Elias and Schuyler fell through the hole, along with some other students.”
“I’m sorry, what?”
“Heh heh, you should have seen the look on their faces, especially Schuyler, man was that priceless. Ah… but after Schuyler fell in he gave me the scolding of a lifetime and I had to cancel my plan. I was about to fill the hole up but then I saw you walking towards it without a care in the world.”
“So much for you’re ‘fool-proof’ plan, huh?”
I received a flick to my forehead from Gray who was pouting.
“First of all rude! Second of all, I haven’t given up yet, I’ll just put a new hole somewhere away from here. I’ll even call it ‘Operation rabbit-hole’, it’ll be sure to succeed this time!”
“Gray…” I sighed.
I couldn’t change Gray’s mind, but I could help him fill up the hole before more chaos was made. Afterwards, I left for my first classes of the day, which seemed to be shorter than usual, in fact, the whole day was shorter. I guess I hadn’t realized that today was a half-day, what a relief it was to find that out.
“Maybe I can finally take a nap…”
“Miss Zaidelle? Is there something you wish to share with the class? Or perhaps you know the answer to my question?”
“Urk…could you...repeat the question by any chance?” I smiled nervously and was greeted to Schuyler’s annoyed sighs.
“Honestly, Nadia, if you’re not going to pay attention in my class, then you’ll have to make yourself useful by staying after and cleaning up the room.”
“W-What? Oh, come on!”
I heard snickers coming from the other side of the classroom, causing me to slump down even further in my chair and wait for this nightmare of a class to end already. Even though the bell rang, I still had to stay back while everyone left. Elias gave me a quick pat on the back and told me everything will be fine and that he would buy us some drinks at the Night Cafe later. I forced a smile and thanked him, and when he left I let out a sigh while I grabbed the nearby broom and began sweeping.
A couple of hours had passed and I had the room looking spotless, everything had been wiped down, cleaned and organized. I stood there and admired my work, feeling rather proud of myself before grabbing my stuff and heading outside. The warm air and cool breeze felt so nice on my skin that I couldn’t help but yawn. The sleep that had been plaguing me all morning was finally taking over and suddenly the thought of taking a nice nap on the lush grass sounded wonderful.
In fact, that’s exactly what I was going to do. I found a nice open area with a good amount of shade. It was close to the lake so I could hear the sound of the soft ripples in the water when the Lune fish moved around. It was enough to lull me to sleep, which I was about to do had it not been for something that caught my eye. It looked like a small creature, almost like a stuffed animal. It had two small horns, ears, a fluffy tail and it was wearing such a cute little outfit!
“Oh, how adorable!”
The words came spilling out of my mouth before I knew it and that’s when I saw the creature suddenly take off in a sprint out to the courtyard.
“Oh no...was...was that the magical creature?!” I suddenly jumped to my feet, realizing the danger that poor thing was going to get into, especially if Zeus got a hold of it. “Wait, come back!”
Though I was exhausted, I somehow managed to run at full speed after the creature. I felt bad chasing after it, especially since I knew it was already scared, but I just had to make sure it was going to be alright.
“Hey, Hiro, look over there!”
Zeus’s voice suddenly rang out like a bell; clear as day. I knew that I wouldn’t have much time to get to the little creature, Zeus was awfully fast…
“Oh hey, look how small it is.”
I heard Hiro’s voice, which was sounding closer than ever before and when I looked up ahead, I saw the two of them cornering the small creature who looked absolutely terrified.
It’s now or never! I quickly rushed in, running as fast as my legs could carry me on the wavering stamina I had left. I quickly scooped the creature in my arms and ran while I held the timid creature to my chest.
“Nadia!”
“Get back here!”
Hiro and Zeus began sprinting after me, their footsteps sounding closer each second. I knew that they would outrun me, so I did the first thing that popped in my mind.
“Sorry about this!”
I cried out before tightening my grip on the creature with one hand - freeing my other hand - which I used to send an ice blast to the ground, which caused Zeus and Hiro to fall flat on their butts.
“Dammit!”
I could hear Zeus cry out from a distance while I continued running. After a short while, when I thought it was safe, I felt my legs buckle and I found myself on the ground breathing hard from exhaustion. I looked down at my arms and smiled knowing that the creature was safe and sound.
“I’m glad you’re alright.”
I gently put the creature on the ground and went to pet it, only for it to bite my arm!
“H-Hey!”
I began waving my arm almost wildly, trying to get the creature to release my arm, but it wasn’t working. At least it didn’t hurt…
“Come on, let go!”
But no matter how hard I tried, it just wouldn’t budge, in fact, it even growled at me when I reached for it again.
“Don’t touch me with such filthy hands human!”
Though the voice was a bit muffled, I could still make out the words.
“You can talk?!”
I looked down at the creature with shock.
“Of course I can!”
It finally released its grip on my arm and took a few steps back with tiny little squeaks. It looked like it was glaring at me, but if that was the case then it was doing much of a good job.
“You’re…” I began to blush. “Gah, you’re so cute!”
“D-Don’t call me cute! I’m a dangerous creature I’ll have you know!”
“Not in the slightest.”
I couldn’t take it! I ended up hugging the small creature only to have it begin hitting me while tiny little honks rang out.
“Unhand me right now heathen!”
“I-I’m sorry..”
I quickly put the creature back down and watched it sit right down in front of me. It clearly posed no threat, except through cuteness.
“I’m guessing you’re the new magical creature everyone is hyped up about.”
“What?”
“Yeah, everyone has been out to grab you and name you.”
“That’s ridiculous! Are humans all such morons, you included.”
“H-Hey!”
“Hmph. As if I’d let some human claim me like some stuffed animal. Ridiculous.”
“Then don’t wander out in big crowds.” I suggested. “Or it’ll happen.”
“Preposterous.”
“Well, you almost got snatched up by Zeus and he would have probably tossed you around like a ball.”
I watched as the creature made a derpy little face, it was like he didn’t know how to respond. I found myself laughing at the sight.
“What exactly is so funny to you?”
“I’m sorry, it’s just...the face you were making just now was pretty adorable.”
“Call me adorable again and I *will* bite your ankles, do you understand?”
“Pfft, go ahead, it won’t bother me.”
There it was again! Only this time the creature ended up falling back down on its butt after having gotten up just seconds prior.
“Truly, you’re one of the oddest I’ve met.”
“Hm?”
“Nothing. Forget it. Why did you even help me? Do you think I’m going to be grateful to you? Because I’m not!”
“No. I just felt sorry for you. You’re so tiny and you seemed so scared. I felt that saving you was the best option. Plus, at least now you’ll be safe here. The forest close by is filled with lots of other magical creatures, like the Winged Rabbits.” I smiled.
I watched as the being turned to look behind it, then it looked back at me.
“So you’re just going to let me go?”
“Isn’t that what you want?”
I watched the hesitation in its eyes as it got up. It looked back at me one last time before disappearing. I felt a strange sense of loneliness in my heart when it left. Did I happen to know that magical creature? It did feel familiar in some ways. Ah, perhaps it’s just my imagination. I began to shake the thoughts away and tried getting up to my feet, only to be hit by a wave of dizziness.
Perhaps pulling an all-nighter was really getting to me. Maybe I should just stay here and take a quick nap, I mean there was no harm in doing so after all. Besides the grass felt like a soft cushion, mix that with the warm air and it made for the absolute perfect napping experience. With a soft yawn, I found myself giving into sleep before falling into a peaceful slumber.
As she dozed off, a certain creature had come back and now squeaked softly as it inched closer to her, careful not wake her. Particles of light surrounded its body and revealed their true form, a certain once hooded Dragonkin.
“What a bother. This human truly is strange.” Felix let out a sigh as he scooped her sleeping body in his arms. “Yet she fascinates me. How bothersome…”
He averted his eyes and began walking in the direction of the dorms. He had a barrier of miasma that only he could see which concealed himself and Nadia from the eyes of anyone he walked past. As he got closer to the dorms he went around back and where his horns began to glow, creating a cloud of miasma which allowed him to float up to the balcony that he was sure belonged to her dorm.
Once on the balcony, he opened the doors and slipped inside. His horns glowed again and the covers to the bed slid down, he then gently put Nadia’s body down and covered her up. When he stepped back he couldn’t help but stare at her sleeping face. How could humans be so terrifying and yet…
“Stupid human, making me feel such things…”
Felix quickly left in a cloud of miasma, teleporting to who knows where. Meanwhile, Nadia had slept peacefully for a couple of hours before she woke up. She had woke up feeling well-rested but also confused.
“How did I get back in my room..?”
Throwing the covers to the side, she got up out of bed and noticed that the sun was just now setting. She had woke up just in time to head down to the Night Cafe and was elated by the fact. She just couldn’t wait to go down and tell Gray and the others about the wonderful, yet strange dream she had.

13. What are their spending habits? For Nadia
Nadia has a well-balanced spending habit. She saves more lune than what she spends 90% of the time. She does however tend to go a little overboard when she's out with friends, she just can't help but spoil them from time to time.

🌳 for both Perse and Nadia?
Compare your OC to themself from 10 years ago. How has their mental state changed since then, how have they aged and grown up? Would they say they’re in a better place than they were back then or do they need help? What advice would they give their younger self? What advice would their younger self give to them now?
Persephone:
If you were to go back 10 years ago and see Persephone, you wouldn't be able to tell it was her. She was a lively and energetic 12 year old who saw no evil in the world. Flash forward 10 years to her current age and you'd be greeted to a much wiser Persephone. During her childhood years, Persephone lived a rather good life. She was on good terms with her parents and they lived a rather wealthy life in Graceus (of course, this was after facing some hardships.)
Her parents had high hopes that she would follow in their footsteps and have a very successful career and life. Of course, life has a funny way of screwing things up and Persephone's life was no exception. Years after her 'dark day's back in Graceus, she's finally becoming her own person. She's become wiser and is trying to take the steps needed to break from her past's cold grip on her. Her mental state is still a bit poor; seeing the negatives more than the positives after being denied such positive possibilities after her mother abandoned her.
If they could talk to theur younger self, the message she'd give would be: 'Things are going to get rough, real rough. But don't let those mistakes define who you are as a person. You're growing and learning more about yourself than ever before.'
If her younger self could give her a message, it would be: 'It's okay to feel down sometimes, but don't keep beating yourself up for your mistakes. You can't keep staying stuck in the past that has given you so much pain. Keep moving forward!'
Nadia:
Flashback 10 years ago to a 10 year old Nadia who is living happily with her family in a small village. She was adventurous, always wanting to explore the outside world, but unable to given certain circumstances. Her magic is unstable at this age and it often led her trouble. Flash forward to Nadia now and she's stayed the same, for the most part. She's bubbly and energetic, always wearing a smile on her face. Her magic has become more stable and she's known as a prodigy as an Elemantalist.
Her mental health has deteriorated a lot since she was a child. It's gotten so bad that she is sent into panic attacks that can get so bad, she can pass out. Nobody has ever seen this of course, as she bottles it up until she's finally alone. When she's with others, she masks her pain with a smile; trying to convince herself that everything is going to be alright, even when it might not be.
If she could give advice to her younger self, she would say: 'Things are going to seem hopeless for a little while, but don't let that stop you. You have to keep pushing forward to a brighter future; you can make people happy. You're stronger than what you think you are...'
If her younger self could give her advice it would be: 'It's okay to cry, it's okay to feel down, but you can't keep blaming yourself for what happened. Let's not suffer any longer from this darkness.'

7, 8, and 19 for Nadia and Hugo.
Thank you so much for asking! Also 👀 I had a lot of fun with this one!
7: Nicknames? If so, how did they originate?
Nadia has received two nicknames from Hugo the first one is the ‘Seer of Fate’. This originated after Hugo firsts meets Nadia, saying that she was one of the last remaining people who in the world who could see the future and the fates of people in the timeline. The second one is when they started dating, he uses the nickname ‘Little Red’ to tease her more than anything. This originated because she’s actually pretty short, barely making it to 5’0. It’s not much of a nickname, but for a while, Nadia used to refer to Hugo as the future boy.
8: Who worries the most?
Hugo would honestly be the one who worries the most. He knows about Nadia’s power and the damage it can cause to herself. He worries that one day it’ll become too much for her to handle and the worst possible scenario, will come true. Nadia, of course, tells him not to worry, that everything will be alright. But hearing that only makes him grow more worried.
19: Who cooks more/who is better at cooking?
Okay, so both of them are pretty much tied with cooking. Nadia is the one who cooks more, hoping to improve and expand her variety of dishes that she could make. Hugo does the same though and is honestly the better out of the two when it comes to making hearty meals.

🏡💎❓ for Nadia uwu
Let's start off with her house. Nadia is the type who wants things to be simple, so of course she'll go for a more simple almost cottage-like house. Something that's not to big, but spacious enough to have loved ones come and stay for a little while. It'd have lots of windows because she's a sucler for natural light, plus if a storm were to blow in, she would find herself sitting by the nearest window, watching the rain. Last but not least, she'd make sure to have a garden to grow her own fruits and veggies, along with a few small plots for flowers that attract the magical creatures!
Does she collect anything? She does! The 'blame' for this is being put on both Randy and Elias who showed her the joys of antiques. Things like old outdates magical tools, grimoires and shiny knick-knacks that just add a certain pop to a room. Her favorite antique items are those that have gears in them, she's into what is labeled as 'steampunk' and can't get enough of cute little geared/inventive gadgets!
An interesting fact? Nadia is labeled as a 'Seer of Fates' by some students at the Academy, including Hugo! She has the ability to see into the future at any time and even wears a little charm to help with the pain that comes with seeing these visions. Also, depending on her emotions while casting magic, her eye color can change. For example, if you see her mint green eyes go to that of peppermint red...RUN!
