Happy "Max Headroom Incident" Day to all who celebrate.

On November 22, 1987 television signals in Chicago were interrupted twice by an unknown person in a Max Headroom mask.

(Kids, ask your grandparents about Max Headroom)

The first time, WGN Channel 9's 9 PM news was interrupted for about 17 seconds before WGN's engineers got control of their signal back.

The second time, it was WTTW Channel 11's turn. The PBS station's airing of the classic Doctor Who episode The Horror of Fang Rock was interrupted with the clip above.

Those responsible were never caught and has since become a legendary moment in piracy/hacking.

“So my plan is that once Snape is safely out of the way, we break into his dorm and plaster every surface, and I mean every surface, with all these,” Sirius patted the pile of yellow paper again. James was a bit sceptical about how they’d manage to pull this off, but he was totally game. “It’s not destructive, but how pissed off is old Snivelly going to be when the picture that knocked him out of the running to display his weird artwork is all over his room?!” Sirius was so excited. 

“Two questions,” James asked, as it had been bugging him since Sirius had brought the copies in. “One, why yellow paper? And two, why did you already have all these copies of Regulus’s picture?” A sly, mischievous smile crept across Sirius's face.  

“They’re yellow because Gid and Fab in the photocopy room accidentally ordered way too much yellow paper and so gave me a massive discount to take it off their hands. And the reason I already have them is that I had planned to decorate your car with them, but pranking Snivellus is a far better use for them” 

James looked at Regulus, who was running his fingers over the copy of his work. He looked strangely vulnerable as his fingers traced each line of the drawing. James watched his brow furrow, and then his face hardened. He looked up at Sirius, and looking more like his brother than James had ever seen, gritted his teeth and said, 

“When do we start?”
