Alright typing it down before I forget

The Maximo clan were ancient followers of the Prime Liege Maximo (before his betrayal of the other Primes) and are a prestigious and influencial group in cybertronian society. They are in charge of a large amount of energon mining, storing and refining much like their Prime used to, and they are also desesperate to keep their image clean after what Liege Maximo did even if it had been millenia ago.

Their leader is Ironfist Maximo, a former gladiator, who is well-known and respected among the higher spheres of Tarn. For that reason he is frequently asked to mentor newly-forged bots but he denies each request every single time, UNTIL ONE DAY when he himself demands to mentor a newly-forged named Bluestar, seeing potential in him.

Everything seems fine for Bluestar at first, now Bluestar Maximo, but its not long before Ironfist goes mask-off and show him the true and insidious secret nature of the Maximos, master manipulators for whom power is everything. Ironfist then starts pushing Bluestar harder and harder, fanning the flames of his ambitions, destroying his empathy, and crushing him to better rebuilt him over and over, in order to make the perfect weapon, and therefore the perfect heir.

Despite all this, Bluestar never seem to reach the impossible standards forced upon him by Ironfist in the latter's eyes, and the two grow more and more frustrated and hostile with each other. It all culminates in Ironfist, one day, taking Bluestar off Cybertron on a distant volcanic planet and telling him that he should fight to earn the right to leave here and go home, or die trying. Bluestar loses, and Ironfist leaves him for dead.

The Great War begin during the next cycles, and Ironfist decides to play both sides, striking a deal with both autobots and decepticons, and providing the energon from the Maximo mines to both factions in order to gather more influence and power in what will be left of cybertronian society.

At the same time, Unicron arrives at the volcanic planet where Bluestar and Ironfist fought in order to devour it, and is very surprised to find the corpse of a cybertronian with a very very dim spark that refuses to go out. Unicron reactivates Bluestar, who manages to make a deal with him by showing his force of will and immense desire for revenge that would make him a worthy avatar of chaos... and on top of that, Unicron likes the idea of corrupting someone associated with a Prime for himself. Unicron then transforms Bluestar into Hellbent Maximo.

Hellbent is then sent by Unicron to return to Cybertron to better destroy it (and Primus) from the inside. He encounters the decepticons and form an alliance with them, decoming a decepticon himself and promising that if they help him against Ironfist, once he is Maximo leader, Hellbent will break the contract with the autobots and all the energon in the Maximo mines will be theirs.

The decepticons storm the Maximo buildings and Hellbent faces Ironfist one more time, this time seemingly killing him. Afterward the cons expect Hellbent to fulfill his part of the deal, only for Hellbent to grin as he reminds them that he is a Maximo, master manipulator, and now that he has seized what was meant to be his, he's not gonna share it with anybody. He then takes control of Tarn and forces the cons back to Kaon as he establishes a third faction, his own faction, in the war.

Hellbent will then fortify Tarn to endure multiple sieges while he plans his own way to take over the whole planet for himself, but by that time, most bots and cons have left the planet since Cybertron has been majorly destroyed, Tarn is one of the better off cities thanks to the Maximo mines.

Another problem then starts to creep up on Hellbent as Unicron starts to slowly take over his mind, growing impatient with the severe lack of killing Primus. Hellbent isnt really fond of that, since he REALLY likes having his free will.

Enters Windwheel! She was part of another ancient clan made of followers of Primus himself, deeply close to their god despite not being Primes themselves. hidden for millenia deep within the planet. Unfortunately the war had found them and all but her ended up killed. Because of her background, she joined the autobots for their affiliation with Optimus, a Prime chosen by Primus, but despite their efforts she still felt isolated within their ranks.

She was tasked one day to infiltrate Tarn like many bots before her, but as opposed to them she actually managed to come face-to-face with the Maximo leader. But when she met with Hellbent for the first time, she immediately felt Unicron's influence on him. She offered to help, being able to channel a little of Primus' power to repel Unicron away enough from his mind and spark, and the two then formed an odd friendship.

But just as it seemed Hellbent was willing to loosen his grip on Tarn and maybe take actions that would help with peacefully end the war out of love for her, Ironfist came back from the dead with an apparently indestructible spark and challenges Hellbent, killing him for the second time before delivering his body to the decepticons, with whom he made a deal of his own.

Ironfist takes back control of the Maximo mines and by extension Tarn but he actually follows through on his promise to share the energon with the decepticons... what he DOESNT tell them though is that he wouldve 100% pulled the same stunt as Hellbent if the planet had been in better shape, he's just thinking in the long(er) term. Meanwhile Hellbent's (body's) whereabouts are unknown.

Unaware of what happened, Windwheel tries to find him desesperately and was close to giving up until she gets a reading of a signature similar to Hellbent's, and follow it to an old and forgotten Maximo deposit, finding out inside that Ironfist was even more twisted than anticipated, having Hellbent cloned back when he was Bluestar, intending to try and "raise" a better heir once he had killed him, had the war not broke out and kept Ironfist busy.

What was left of Unicron in Hellbent left him upon his demise and was now trying to occupy the clone, but thankfully Windwheel was here to protect him with the help of Primus' power. She manages to fend off Unicron but that act had the double effect of lighting up the clone's body with his own spark.

Upon seeing the clone, named Redstar, awake and helpless, Windwheel decided to leave a message to the autobots, telling them that she will stay with Redstar back at her old clan's grounds, close to Primus, to mentor him so he may appreciate as much as possible a life free from the horrors of war.

Meanwhile, having failed to inhabit Redstar's body and sensing that Hellbent's body was being reconstructed by decepticons scientists, Unicron returned to his first option for his avatar of chaos.

And thats what I got so far hooray👍

discowing is amazing and not just for the colors and the design. it is a message. it is symbolizing his growth without entirely letting go of the concept robin, because he will always be robin. not in the way of vigilantism, but in his heart.

it symbolizes he is still a bird, who even now can shine against the darkness. shine with the stage lights from the circus that will follow him wherever he goes.

discowing is a symbol of everything robin is and more. of everything batman is and isn't. it is a symbol for becoming a brother. it is a symbol of his time as robin both alongside batman, and alongside the teen titans and later titans.

discowing is a symbol of fun, friendship, beauty, and tragedy. to me? it's one of the first costumes i picture when i think about dick grayson. it's the first nightwing costume i think of.

Poppy for N2 au, it took me so long to make her design cuz I didn't really know what I wanted to do only because I feel like her design is pretty perfect.

But then I just thought about fun outfits to give her or outfits that I would find comfortable if I was wearing them and it all came together.

Poppy here is pretty much the same as here movie counterpart, as nothing really changes on her end of things other than having more insight on Branch through his brothers, and through Lief. Shes also a bit more understanding a bit earlier on because of it but it doesnt do much to change her own character arc I would say.

Named after the Protea flower which part of her design is based off :D

In the context of this Au Protea was the one who conceptualized the tunnels while her son, King Peppy, was the one to follow through after her death

This is during his “captivity days”, similar to Kay’s Erik, but not with Romani people (I’d like for them to have a nice interaction, if not nice at least decent, like mutual respect). Used as an attraction in a freak show (Phantasma! No ok, I’m joking I’m joking), owned by an English dude T.B (Taylor B… Working on a surname, suggestions appreciated).

Okay so this'll be the last post I make regarding Critical Role until c3e119 airs since while the antipathy and, for lack of a better word, deflation revolving around 118 has been a little disheartening, I do want to throw a few things that continue to bounce off the inside of my head out there before we get to the next episode;

I don't think it's needed (as someone who very much wants them all to survive - including ones I like less than others - and be able to continue figuring themselves out) for BH to die or be betrayed or be subject to additional punishment to justify what's happening. This fight IS their punishment, their consequence, their Finding Out after Fucking Around

Also, if the gods refuse to help BH - if asked - it proves Ludinus right. Refusing aid would indicate that they really are picking favourites out of self interest, plus the taking on Predathos option was only proposed to BH by one of their own, so it'd be double scummy

Campaign 3 has still had some great, funny and heartbreaking moments that we shouldn't forget about just because these current events are fresh, plus C1 and 2 weren't perfect - worth reminding that too

Honestly, if FCG were alive the same thing would've happened anyway; Matt would've made the coin flip be indecisive so the cast could make the choice and Imogen would've chosen the same way

While we definitely could've built to this better, this fight will provide the floor for BH to confront a key character motivation; be it preventing the overtaking and corrupting influence of a malicious or feral psyche, having to decide whether to trust that their ally can overcome it or follow through with what a superior entrusted them to do as a countermeasure, or simply trying to protect and prevent another friend from dying - which, alongside the likely map change and expected unique minis, is actually kinda exciting

Just, let's go into 119 with an open mind, okay? They have to earn it for sure but it's not over until it's over.

disclaimer: i only watched the first half of this movie before leaving in irritation so there is likely more to be added to my points. or less. who knows

this isnt even going to be a criticism of the horrible animation. the movie looks like it was made on an overmodded game of the sims 4 at best. that is pre-established, one glance at this atrocity and you can tell the animation quality is a giant issue for something marketed as a movie. my biggest thing though is the names.

ohh my god. holy shit. THE NAMES.

first of all let me establish my undying love of minion from megamind. i admire that guy with all of my heart. if the original megamind movie was solely about minion i would have been just as if not far more happy with it.

now obviously the copyright joke is relating to despicable me/the minions. but here’s the thing: they didn’t stop saying minion. they just went from calling a primary character minion to calling a DIFFERENT, NON-PRESENT CHARACTER MINION. WHAT.

like. how does just having a character get sued for his name resolve the (real?? nonexistant???) copyright issue????? going from calling the character minion to having all the characters start saying “Actually We Cannot Call Him That Because of Mr. Minion’s Meat Sticks™️” DOES NOT STOP THE FACT THAT THERE IS A CHARACTER CALLED MINION.ITS JUST A DIFFERENT CHARACTER NOW.

But okay!! you know what? i can get over that, right? to anyone who does not yet know where this is going, do me a favor and come up with any name you think would better fit minion from megamind. got your answer? guess what! you automatically win!! because anything you could have said is better than
