Not me making a s/i for a game that I'm probably not even gonna play myself 😭🙏 here it is folks some simple ref of my bg3 tav!
She's a half-elf Paladin and a follower of Oghma, the God of Knowledge, with a sage background ♡ she's got an insatiable and somewhat macabre curiosity that leads her to explore things that are sometimes considered a bit disturbing but she finds fascinating! She has a bit of a manic edge that can make her seem a bit inconsiderate at times because she talks faster than she can think, but she means well and is very sweet! And of course she's catching feelings for a certain someone 😊

Of course, the only female Rook I'm planning to romance Lucanis with is the closest to a self-insert as possible, without actually being like me. I've given her a lot of my darker personality traits, many of which I have been working on, in earnest. My looks, however, not at all.
Actually, she's based off one of my Tavs, Iellana in looks and personality [for reference, Iellana is a Sharran priestess/'confessor' sort - almost a Dark Justiciar]. I hope I can give Nirasha a dagger tattoo in Dragon Age, because she is essentially her.
There is a lot more about her under the cut. Before that, enjoy my screenshots of how her counterpart looks in Baldur's Gate 3.
Nirasha is coldly distrusting, harsh, and pessimistic, likes to do things 'by the book', she has a resting b---- face [more like a resting murderer face, if we're being fair], she's stubborn, fiercely judgmental, she has an innate sense of superiority, sometimes to the point of arrogance!
She's also very traditional in the way 'this is how we have always done things, why do we need to fix it', very rigid and stern-minded, likes to have every thing accounted for, she does not tolerate mistakes, especially her own. That, and she never forgets a transgression.
In fact, it is a comfort for her to go to sleep imagining the ways in which the people whom have wronged her could potentially die, especially at her own hands. Vindictive is her middle-name. She really needs someone to either reel her in or to encourage her murderous ideations. *cough* Lucanis *cough*
Her demeanor is best described as cagey, guarded, curt, no-nonsense, distant, aloof, unnerving almost. In her other iteration, she is literally a Dark Justiciar of one of the most evil fantasy Gods possible. Don't be fooled by her Vallaslin of June in Veilguard, she'd have got one of the Forgotten Ones, if it was an option.
While judgmental of others, she is more judgmental of herself. A perfectionist, I am not, but she is one. Her death-glare doesn't help either. She has a way of looking at people that makes a lot of them think that she hates them. That is only true half of the time. She actually self-flagellates, emotionally - she is a masochist.
She's coolly sardonic, and on the outside, she appears to be dismissive of other people's feelings. However, she is quite sensitive, especially to criticism, deep down. When wronged, she is ruthless to the point where she won't tolerate anything less than the ruination of those whom have done the wronging.
Forgiveness is not a strong point. I've thought of her as the woman with daggers for eyes. It's hard for her to find the glass half-full, in the proverbial sense. One of her worst traits is that she gives a 'fifty reasons why you suck' speech to people under the guise of being helpful.
While she's good at problem-solving, identifying-patterns and putting them into words, she has a lot to work on in her delivery, because the way in which she words things has hurt other people in the past, even though it was not her intention. It doesn't help that she smirks instead of smiles.
Lucanis may end up "fixing" her, because I like flipping tropes and expectations around, and I've seen too many "I can fix him" posts about Lucanis before the game is even out! I like the idea of Lucanis, even with his own issues, being the person she'd needed all along, while she is the person he's also needed.
She's not a vessel for negative traits of my own, and those which I do not have, but she is intended to be a study of a female character with a lot of traits often associated with male characters. She's supposed to be an asshole who eventually accepts her soft side, and lets herself be vulnerable and breathe for once in her life.
Lucanis is the one who prevent her from succumbing to the darkness inside of her and turning into a monster of a person. I'm actually planning to play her BG3 iteration again sooner than later and romance her with Gale to mirror her relationship with Lucanis in Veilguard.

I shared my (and my friend's ocs) that are related to PK SO-
This is A LOT and I'm kinda embarrassed but I'll fucking "cringe culture is dead" through life or so help me GOD
I like imagining backstories for characters and making cool little nonsensical and completely self-indulgent AUs
(Also for the few people subscribed to my patreon there's more stuff after what I've posted there, just scroll a bit down 👍)
F9r the record I also mangled mine and @demonicintegrity 's thoughts and ideas into one post so it's somewhat comprehensible but jsyk they contributed a lot
An AU where Adamas has her last clutch in her small form
As a refresher Amanita is White Lady's name and Ebur is Pale King's name. Adamas is Pale King's mother, though wyrms use dame and sire for their parents so that's what he calls her. I am yet to properly share Quercus but he's WL's father. Flower is my name for the Pure Vessel in this AU, Hallow is their birth name. Amaryllis is an oc, they're Flower's twin. Any other names that appear here are PK's siblings.
Also using they/it for Ebur and the rest of the family bc as wyrms they don't really have genders
Ebur and Amanita meeting while Ebur's family is travelling and Amanita still lives at the edge of her father's territory and her root system is connected with his but she's getting ready to leave hopefully in just one or two years when she's gathered enough strength and the spring's kind and abundant
Adamas' little group settles near her groove since it's brimming with life and there's not many people to get in the way or compete over resources with aside from the occasional traveller or two, and Amanita tolerates their presence for now, they give her something to do since her father is quite busy with his new seedlings now that she's grown and she doesn't have much company or things to do other than to listen to the occasional mortal passing by and watch the nature, so this small group of wyrms that's mostly composed of ones not much younger than her with all the hubris and boldness of young wyrms is the most interesting thing that's happened to her in a while
Some of them would probably push too far before Adamas had to smack them upside the head and reprimand them for ever thinking about taking over this territory, after all they're really on the larger territory of an ancient God, and even though Roots aren't known to be the most attentive of parents she still doesn't want to tempt fate and check if this one is the same by attacking his daughter
Either way, Amanita notices the younger wyrm isn't quite like the others and seems very intrigued by him
Although their first in face meeting wasn't the best, with her attacking him and managing to stab him in the ribs (you bet your ass Adamas chewed out his ass when he returned to their densite all bloody and holding his side), he kept returning to study her
Seems they both found each other intriguing
And eventually they get to talking, Ebur seemed excited to meet the first rootfolk in his life and actually to get to talk to her, he asks so many questions and she's amused with his curiosity, and eventually actually grows curious about the wyrms (and especially him) herself and asks him things in turn
They grow into unlikely friends though there's definitely more to it but neither is willing to acknowledge it yet
He often sneaks away from his family just to talk to her, and eventually they start sneaking into the more private parts of her groove with the excuse that they wouldn't want Ebur's family finding out they're friends, both of them just ignoring their glaringly obvious attraction to each other
One time Ebur brought her a kill he made and she hoped to GOD her blush wasn't noticeable (it was, not that he'd know because he was also avoiding eye contact to try and hide his own)
Ebur and the bad bitch he pulled by being autistic 💜
The group spends enough time around there for the two idiots to stop dancing around the subject and not only admit to their mutual attraction but to start to fall in love
Enough so that Ebur decides to stay when Adamas decides it's time to move on
At first she was about to talk sense into him about staying permanently in this place but he quickly corrected her
"No, no, it's not like that! I don't want to stay here permanently! I just..." He quieted down and looked away
"...You want to leave?"
"...mh..."
"Are you sure about this? Life as a lone wyrm isn't easy out there in the Wastelands, perhaps it'd be better if you stuck around until we find a suitable territory for you to stay at-"
"No, dame, I- I want to leave now. I think it's time. I love you all and I'll miss you, but...I just...I want to see what's out there for myself. Every year, every day, feels the same now; find some place, stay for a bit and hunt, move on. I- I can't live like this, it feels...suffocating."
"...You were always the curious kind, weren't you? I should have known this routine would bore you eventually," She sighed heavily and approached him, "I always knew this day would come, I just never expected it to be my youngest and smallest wyrmling that leaves the nest first..." She pulled him into a tight hug, "...Stay one last night with us, and if you're still sure about this after tomorrow's hunt I'll leave some supplies for you when we move on."
He smiled and hugged her back, "...Thank you..."
"Just promise me you'll be safe, okay?"
"You taught me well. I'll be alright, I promise."
He spends lots of time with his siblings and mother the next day, maybe Melpomene proposed she could come with since they were always the closest but he reassured her he wanted to be alone
The goodbye is very tearful, even Adamas cries and she's not the type to do that often
Ebur feels a little broken seeing them go, it feels weird being completely alone, strangely quiet too - he usually likes the quiet, but not this time. He goes to hunt to keep his mind off it then that evening he gathers his things and moves them to a densite way closer to his root's (his root, saying that makes him so giddy) and goes to share his kill with her
And that night, for the first time in their lives, he goes to sleep curled up around her amongst her roots. It does help him feel much better about having to say goodbye to his family
He spends the rest of the year in her groove with her - from summer to winter - before she's finally ready to move on next spring and he happily follows her to look for a new home for the both of them
Despite the new normal being hard to get used to at first he was still so unbelievably happy with her
And Quercus was considerably easier to hide their relationship from than his own family, considering they're on the outskirts of his territory and Ebur never saw him in person. As far as Quercus is concerned, Amanita just has a mild wyrm problem that she's handling well on her own
A few different things could happen from then on
Could either go canon compliant or pull out one of my fav moves, a cute domestic AU where they don't found Hallownest or do it later down the line after already having children and just live for a while as a happy family
And also the Drama Flavour where Ebur ends up pregnant despite them not trying to, they say fuck it and have them but he gets very sick and she brings him to her father for help, cue him being appalled that she's partners with a wyrm and her telling him to suck a dick and she'll take care of him herself, then they have the worst luck ever after finding a brand new territory and stumble onto Ebur's family, and Adamas has some very strong opinions about him being mates with a root (she doesn't even realise he's expecting otherwise it would have been. Worse). Fucking Romeo and Juliet up in here
For the last idea, I like the idea of Adamas questioning if that root can even provide for him or any possible clutches he might have in the future and he gets so pissed off he bristles, tells her to drop it and he's done with her attitude and to get the fuck off his territory. She bristles and calls him out on being so cocky as to tell her to get out
"If you're so confident then come on, defend your territory! Kick me out yourself!"
"Stop it-"
"Come on, boy! Show me you can actually protect yourself and yours! If you want me out them force me out!"
"I'm not going to fight you, mother!"
"...Tsk, you even talk like her."
"...Just...Just leave...please."
She circles him, "You should know words won't be enough to protect your territory from intruders, and that young root definitely doesn't have it in her to do it. You promised me you'll stay safe, so show me you can actually take care of yourself!"
Instead she gets violently thrown back by a white root after Amanita returns to check up on her hubby <3
Puts herself between them, ready to snap their necks with her roots if she has to
"He told you to leave, so leave. Or should I make you, you old bag?"
"Amanita-"
Of course, it was 25% him not being willing to fight his own mother and 75% him being sick and not willing to risk the pregnancy, but he's not gonna tell her that when she reacted so negatively about him being mates with a root (and his siblings def teased him before the situation got serious)
He's gonna be SO fucking depressed about this later though
But I also just like the idea of them finding the place that would later become Hallownest and founding the kingdom together
Ebur: Babe do you want me to beat up this old slug for you?
Amanita: Oh how romantic~
Unn:(live slug reaction)
Unn: Just take the damn territory and leave me alone, you brats
I also made an entire AU with Integrity where PK moves on with his family with a promise that he'll be back next spring for her, only to realise he's expecting. And I am obsessed with this version, it's cute and domestic (in a wyrm kind of way) and I am sucker for these things.
Ebur leaves with his family, promising to return to her next spring so they can leave together, but what he DIDN'T account for was him getting pregnant
So now he has to think up an idea to sneak away and keep his pregnancy hidden until he's back with her. Very hard to do with his mother around, an old wyrm with decades worth of clutches she's reared into adulthood by herself, she sussed him out embarrassingly quickly
Ebur, trying to sneak out: 💦💦💦
Adamas, like she’s scolding a teen: where are you going at this hour?
Ebur: …. A walk to clear my head?
Adamas: do you think that excuse worked with your siblings back then?
Ebur: … no
Adamas: do you think it’s gonna work now?
Ebur: ……… no
Ebur, quickly thinking of something else: ......hunting...
Adamas: Hunting?
Ebur: Hunting.
Adamas: At midnight? With your white, glowing ass? After we just ate?
Ebur: .........I'm hungry.
Adamas: Uh-huh
Ebur, bristling: Well! I'm a grown wyrm, I can do what I want!
Adamas: Oh can you now?
Ebur: 💦💦💦
Adamas: You're an adult but I'm still this group's leader, including yours
Ebur: Yes, dame. I'm sorry, dame
He does his best to mask his scent and keep his hormones and instincts under control, tries to sleep a little further from the group, is very careful on hunts and starts eating away from them when food aggression starts kicking his ass
One time Adamas finally approached him at meal time, throwing him her portion
"Here, eat up."
He looks at her, confused, "...I...what?"
"Just eat, kid."
He hesitantly takes it and leaves it near as he continues with his portion, "Don't you need to eat also?"
"Eh, I've eaten enough. Besides, I'm not the one who's eating for more than one right now."
"HRK-"
He looks at her, horrified, and she can't help but laugh
"What? You think I haven't noticed? Come on, you could fool your siblings with your excuses but I've had plenty of clutches of my own," She pats him on the shoulder, "Come on, eat up, kid. You need to put some meat on these bones."
He sighs heavily and goes back to eating, red in the face and a little awkward, unable to look her in the eyes as she's just observing him
"...If you copulated around the time of your first heat last spring-"
"HRNK?!"
"Oh, don't be like that, you're not a child anymore. Anyway, your due date should be in winter...not the ideal time to have a clutch, but we could make this work. You'll need to eat a lot if this kid is to have any chance of survival, though," She looked back st him, "...If you want to keep it, that is."
He goes quiet, his tail curling in close, "...I...y-yeah, I do..."
"...Alright, if that's what you want."
"You seem nervous."
"...How- how could I not be? I mean, all of this, it's...it's my first brood, and if they're due in winter..."
She scoots closer to him and wraps her tail around him, "Hey...you're not alone in this, okay? You have your siblings and I, we'll take care of you and your young. It's going to be alright." And she nuzzles him gently
Obviously they figure out the children are part root, but only some time after they're born
At least now Ebur has an excuse to return to her, saying she'd have valuable input on caring for them
That doesn't stop his siblings from teasing him about possibly wanting to see her again and being in love (they're right, but he's not about to admit it)
Also the moment he accidentally let's her name slip he's not gonna hear the end of it
Adama: So you want to return to the groove?
Ebur: Yes. I mean, she taught me a lot about rootfolk, but-
Io: Uh-huh, I bet she did. Close and perso-
Ebur, slapping him with his tail: ...Anyway. She told me a lot, but still, Amanita would kno-
Adustus: YOU KNOW HER NAME?!
Ossum: OHHH, LITTLE LOVERBOY IS ON FIRST NAME BASIS WITH THE ROOT~?
Ebur: You're killing me
God can you imagine what kind of pains in the ass these cunts were when Adamas and Ebur broke the news to them
Constant teasing and asking who it was
Ebur gets no rest
Adamas takes her little shits on a training hunt again
"Why do we need to train anyway? You've taught us how to hunt seasons ago."
"I did, but not with two members down. You need to practice now before your sibling stops being able to join us on hunts."
"...two...?"
"Yes, two. It'll be safer if somebody stays behind with Ebur when he's further along and carrying for his young, so I need to know we'll be able to provide for this family with two hunters down and more mouths to feed."
"...Can't I join your hunts anyway? You hunted by yourself while pregnant, didn't you?"
"I did, but I was also alone, I had no choice. You shouldn't have to choose between your children's safety and finding food. We live as a family for a reason, what would we be but animals if we don't take care of each other? I'm not letting you or your young live like lone nomads when you have us."
They also hunt more since Ebur needs more food, especially later down the line, and if anybody complains she's gonna cut that shit down SO fast
"I don't want to hear it! Ebur and the brood they're carrying are your kin, so start acting like it and have some damn respect. Do you think Ebur would be here complaining if the roles were reversed? Do you think they wouldn't care for you when you need it? We're a family, we take care of each other, in sickness and in health. Your sibling and his children need you. If that's a problem for you, you're free to leave and live as a nomad, but as long as you follow me and are a part of this family I don't want to hear any complaining, got it?"
"...yes, dame. I'm sorry."
"Instead of apologising to me make yourself useful. And treat your siblings kinder, one day you might be the one who needs their help so you better hope your words don't come back to bite you then."
Adamas is a strict parent but very much loves her family and it's so important to her that they take care of each other <3
She's a good mum, if a little bit hard on them at times
Melponeme, loafing in front of Ebur: ….
Ebur: …. What. Go away
Melp: im not touching you
Ebur: what do you want
Melp, loafing, staring: ……….
Ebur: ………………
Melp: you’re gettin fat
Ebur: no shit it’s almost like a have a litter growing inside me
Melp, reaching over to poke his stomach:
Ebur, batting: stop that!!!
Melp: how many do you think they’re gonna be?
Ebur: I dunno
Melp: probably like. A lot of you keep growing at this rate
(And then it's just two. Absolute menace <3 won't give him a break)
Ebur, growling:
Adamas: Dear, if you keep poking at a predator like that it's gonna strike
Melp: Nahhh, they're harmle-
Ebur, pouncing on her:
Melp: !!!
"Don't be too rough with your sibling, they're expecting."
"Oh come on! They started it! They can't keep holding the pregnancy thing over our head constantly!"
Ebur sitting there like >:3
“Well they’ve got a few more months and then it’s fair game”
"Oh, so you'd beat up a new parent and leave my children orphaned? How cruel"
"I'm not gonna kill you, you maniac?!"
Also once he's much further along he digs himself a separate den and slowly moves in there, it worries his siblings but Adamas assures them it's normal, wyrms prefer to be alone in the first few days before and after giving birth
"Are you sure they're okay? Can't they stay with us?"
"Pff, would you prefer to get growled at and possibly mauled every time you come into your den? They'll be fine, don't worry."
His siblings go out hunting and gathering more often after that and finally give him lots and lots of warm and soft bedding for his new den
"Since you'll sleep alone we thought you and the baby could use some warmer bedding."
And he can't help but smile and wag his tail
Wondering if wyrms would have a word for aunt/uncle and what would it be?? Obviously not auncle, since aunt and uncle aren't wyrm temrs
Currently they don't have any, anybody beyond your parents, siblings and young are just "kin"
Maybe they'd use cousin? (As in. Also use cousin, not a replacement for aunt/uncle. I realised I worded this weird)
Half of this is Ebur's siblings fretting over him and Adamas having to keep them straight and from freaking out KDBDJRB
“GET OUT OF MY DEEENNNN”
“Oh but we worry about our poor lil sibling!!”
“FUCK OOOFFF”
Gonna get hissy and pissy and Adamas will just shake her head and say she warned them
“Can we see the babies now— UAGH”
“-HISSSSS-“
Glaring at them from the entrance of his den before the babies even arrive
"You're so lucky I'm round and slow right now"
“Hehe spherical”
“Shut the fuck up”
Also been thinking about the delivery. This sounds weird,,
TW for childbirth, pregnancy, etc, and mention of near infant death
Anyway, his siblings would notice he stopped eating, only stays in his den, and would bring it up to Adamas
Her ear just twitches and she looks over at his den, "...Seems the little one will arrive any moment, then."
"Huh?"
"How can you tell?"
"I also stopped eating like two to three days before I had you or any of my previous litters. It's normal. Just give them some space, they're going to be especially irritable now."
Then one night one of them wakes up and immediately wakes the others, as Adamas isn't in the den. They peek out to look for her and find her just sitting nearby and staring at Ebur's den
"...Dame? Why aren't you in the nest?"
"Quiet down. Do you smell that?"
They pause to scent the air
"...blood?"
"...It's been a while," She gets up and dusts herself off, "I'll go check up on your sibling, you keep watch for me. Don't come too near, he's probably stressed as is."
She approaches his den and they see her quietly talking before she disappears inside. They keep watch as promised, though all of them are fidgety and uneasy, pacing and shifting around, trying to chat to pass the timd
After what feels like forever though one of them tells them to shut up for a moment and when they do they can hear very faint cries coming from the den
They wait with held breaths and eventually Adamas stalks out of the den holding bloodied bedding (to a group of nervous wyrms looking at her like 👁👁 👁👁 👁👁 👁👁 👁👁, almost makes her laugh)
"...so?"
"So what?"
"Dame, please-"
She snickers, "There's two."
They all seem excited, which makes her smile
"How are they?"
"Ebur is fine. One of the wyrmlings is strong, and the furstborn..." She trails off, swishing her tail, "They'll make it, if they survive this night."
The five visibly deflate at the news
"...Are they gonna...?"
"Only time will tell. Like I said, if they survive this night they should be okay. Don't repeat this to Ebur, though, they've had enough of hardships for one night," She turned to leave, "I'll go burry these sheets. You five, go hunt for your sibling and their young, they're going to need the strength. I'll look after them."
They hurry off, a hunt seems like a good opportunity to blow off some steam
When they return, Adamas shows them how to thinly mince the meat for the the newborns before she delivers the food to Ebur and his kids
That's pretty much the norm for the next few days, Adamas is the only one who he allows into the den so she updates the siblings on the situation and stays with him while they go hunting
The day after, after they made their hunt for the day and Adamas once again disappears into their sibling's den with the food, was probably the most stressful. The five waited for her for what seemed like eternity and immediately pounce on her for info like young wyrmlings the second she's out
"Won't you five calm your tails?! Your sibling and their young are fine."
"And the firstborn?"
"They're doing much better and seem strong. You can stop panicking."
Though they're less intense about this afterwards, everytime Adamas leaves the den she's met with five wyrms staring at her and eagerly awaiting any updates
"Do they have names yet?"
"Ebur said they did pick already, you'll learn them once you meet the younglings"
"UUUUGHHH"
"MAAAAN"
"Stop being dramatic, it's only a few more days"
The five also get an idea to make the twins little clothes so they can stay warm and cosy
They get to gift them to Ebur once they finally meet the little ones
One day, after nearly a week, Adamas leaves the den to see the five wyrms once again waiting on her and she sighs heavily before smiling
"Alright, who wants to meet the babies?"
And they all get SO excited, before she has to remind them to keep calm to not spook their sibling or his kids
They go into the den one by one, which is thankfully big enough for all of them, where Ebur is laying in the corner, curled up around two little sleepy boundless and purring to them
His siblings are just awe struck at the babies and coo to them, showering them and Ebur with so many compliments
"They look a little odd for wyrmlings though, don't they?"
Io proceeds to get very roughly jabbed in the side by Fossor
"Ow, what the hell?!"
"Don't be an ass. Obviously they're not full wyrms, idiot, they're going to look different."
Though none of them is yet to clock that they're half-root
They get the babies thick clothes so they can crawl outside the den (under incredibly strick supervision by all 7 of their family members) once they're big enough
"Ebur, quit grooming them! They won't combust into flames if they have a speck of dirt or snow on them!"
"Mrrrr"
Melpomene: So, how did you name them?
Ebur: The firstborn is Hallow and the second born is Amaryllis
Io: Hm, weird names for wyrms
Ebur: 💦💦💦
Fossor, readying to hit him again:
Hallow, crawling towards Io with intent to Bite:
Io: Ohhhh little lad on a mission, what will they do? Beware the big bad wyrm
Hallow: Grrrr
Io:*casually just rolls away*
Hallow, flopping down and looking at him offended before SCREAMING angrily to voice their displeasure at inability to bite and maim uncle: EEEAAAAAAAAA
Gonna crawl towards him with even more determination
Adustus: Snrk- Stop giving the poor kid a workout and let them bite you
Io: If they wanna bite me they should prove it by getting me the legitimate way
Adamas: that one has a strong set of lungs
Ebur: mhm
Ebur: ...Was I this loud at their age?
Adamas: Absolutely. The loudest
Ebur: .......oh
Adamas: yeah. oh. Little snot
Ebur: hey!
(Mean to him <3)
Just wait till they figure out the connection between Amaryllis and Amanita
Of course loverboy would name the baby after a flower LMAO
".....snrk"
"shut up. shut up. shut the fuck up. I dont wanna hear it. Shut your bitchass up."
Start teasing him that he is SO smitten and in love
None know just how right they are
He's gonna die or commit murder at this rate
Ebur being all "it's not like that, it's not like that" and then when he sees Amanita again they're all lovey dovey and cute
I think Adamas' group was in the groove for like 2 years so they did have time to develop a meaningful relationship, though it's still nothing compared to how they're gonna be in a few years KFBDJFH
Io: not like that my ass—
Ebur: Shut the fuck—
Amanita: :? Not like what my darling?
Adustus: he’s been swearing up and down it isn’t love and he hasn’t totally been courting you
Amanita, amused: aaaww my dear Ebur, so now you’re shy with your affections~?
Ebur, sputtering: Ami, please not in front of my family...
Ossum: AMI
Ebur: I BITE
Ossum: Yeah, I bet ~your Ami~ knows a thing or two about that, huh~?
Ebur: GRRRRR
Amanita, laughing a little: I haven’t heard you growl that loud since we first met my wyrm~!
Ossum: good gods y’all are nauseating
Adamas: Her wyrm, huh?
Ebur: NOT you too
Amanita, not helping as she nuzzles him: My wyrm~
She's having so much fun <3 He can't help but smile though
Ebur: You're...impossible, my darling
Amanita: 🥰
Adamas: So, how long have you been together?
Amanita: Officially? Only one year, but we've been courting for much longer than that~
Adamas: Oh, you're official hm? Ebur, you never told me you've found yourself a mate. Look at you growing up on me, my youngest wyrmling has a mate and children already
Ebur: My dame, please
Amanita: ....children?
Adamas: ... you didn't know?
Ebur: Hey i was suppose to surprise her with that dame!
Ebur: Plus, I only found out after I left, not like I could tell her I was-
Amanita, grabbing him: Darling, what's that about children?
Ebur: .... We have two my darling.
Amanita: We have children!?
Ebur: yes. Our...... time together has resulted in me becoming gravid. We have two healthy children
Amanita, shaking him: Show me!!
Ebur, laughing: Well, stop trying to give me whiplash and I will!
(They're so adorable it makes me sick <- Ebur's siblings probably)
Presents her with the two little guys with a big smile. Tells her their names and she kneels down to hold them both and nuzzle and give kisses and be so so emotionally happy about it
The rest of the family give them some privacy so they can have a proper reunion and Amanita can meet her children
She's so SO happy
Scoops all three of them up and nuzzles him, looks at them as if they're her whole world
"Oh, my darling, they're so beautiful, so perfect...I love them..." She whispers, her breath caught in her throat for a moment, "...I love you."
His heart skips a beat and he nuzzles in close and kisses her cheek, "I love you too..."
And the babies are gonna ruin the moment and squeaking in protest about being held <3
"ooohhh my little sprouts, I need to plant you in my den and watch you grow big and strong youre so precious~"
"wait like. Actually bury them??"
"A little yeah. They should be able to root I think"
"...hm!"
"...Unless they're more wyrm in that regard?"
"Well, they seemed to do just fine on meat, but there's no harm in trying other things. Maybe a combination will be best for them?"
"Oh dear..."
"Don't worry, my love, we'll figure it out together"
Theyre rowdy and like to run around and play
but for sleepy time they get to be buried in the dirt. Makes em giggle and keeps them warm
OH the convo between Adamas and his siblings in the meanwhile
Adustus: ...He's gonna leave, isn't he?
Adamas: Hm?
Adustus: I mean, with our group we can't stay anywhere for too long, especially in a small groove like this, we'd run out of prey. And a root wouldn't be able to keep up for long, they're stationary. And...I doubt he'd leave her, just look at them.
Adamas: ...He seems happy. It'd be good for the little ones to have both parents too.
Amanita, planting the babies for the first time:
Quercus, waking her up at ass o'clock after he sensed two new seedlings near her: 👀 👀 👀
Amanita: huh wh
Quercus: KIDS?? KIDS?? DO I HAVE GRANDKIDS PRINCESS???
Amanita: pfft. yes.
Amanita:
Amanita, internally: wait shit fuck
Quercus: oh hey that wyrm problem came back. Lemme drop by and see how my daughter is doing since im not busy
What a fucking reunion that would be huh
Adamas: I've heard you want to leave? Maybe you should come with us, then, it'd be easier for you
Amanita: Ah, but would you like to leave now? Because it's already almost the end of spring, I don't think it'd be a good idea for me to leave now, I might not survive winter if I'm not rooted down somewhere by autumn. We were planning to leave early next spring, if you'd like to live in my groove until then you're fully welcome to
Adamas: But what of your parent? Wouldn't they notice?
Amanita: It's alright, he didn't came by last time you were here for over two years, I'm sure it's fine now, he won't even notice 😊 (narrator voice he did notice)
"Hey sweetheart how are you.... doing...."
Amanita, with the family of wyrms just hanging out in her den: .......... Daaaadddddddd what a suuurrrppprriiissseee💦
Her just trying to cover up this fairly large family of wyrms
Adamas getting defensive when Quercus is questioning Amanita
Starts growling and pushes to the front of them
Quercus: Stay out of this, wyrm
Adamas: Like hell I am! I'm not letting you step all over my family or my daughter
Amanita: It's really not nece- daughter??? 🥺
Quercus: Daughter?!
Adamas: Yes, daughter, she's my child's partner so as much of a family to me as my own children!
Amanita's just trying so fucking hard not to get emotional and cry over this now
too bad Quercus is bristling at that
Amanita and Quercus are emotional over this but in completely opposite directions
Amanita has to get herself together to step between them before it ends in a fight
GOD. I AM SO EMOTIONAL OVER THIS. AMANITA BEING ACCEPTED INTO HIS WYRM FANILY AFTER THEY SEE HOW MUCH SHE AND EBUR LOVE EACH OTHER 🥺 SO CUTE
She gets to root in and do some wyrm watching with her tubers
Amanita, to the kids: look how silly your father can be. Look, watch
Amanita, wiggling a root:
Ebur: 👁️👁️
His siblings watching him paw at the root
Adustus: ...Dude...
Fossor: Good fates he's domesticated
Adamas: …… oh how the mighty fall
She always knows how to embarrass him in front of his family 🥰
Zooming through her roots to play while Adamas wonders how he inherited such weird quirks
Adamas: I should have judged my mates better, what is this...
Ossum: hey they're the only one Like That
Melp: yeah we’re normal about things
Ebur: Snrk- Yeah, just wait till you find your own mates
Io: I think you're just weird, actually
Ebur: At least I have a mate and children, you lonely ass
Amanita delights in how silly the tubers are. Truly the most delightful thing
Ebur's family think it's funny how the twins have been dubbed the tubers since they came here
But hey, it fits
I bet Amanita sometimes just casually steals her wyrm away
Just picks him up with her roots like "I'll be taking that~"
They're so lovely dovey it's nauseating
Even Adamas teases him about her swooping him off his feet
And he can't keep the smile off his face when he talks about her or hide the blush when they tease him so he really can't hide it
Ebur and the tubers also sleep in her den, keep in her tangle of roots.
The others can set up a den as they please
He at first set up a den near her instead of with her but it was literally abandoned on night one
It's his den in spirit
The second his siblings realise its been abandoned and how fast he's getting teased AGAIN
“Shouldve just saved the time and effort and not done that altogether.”
“I didn’t ask you”
Adamas: No, I bet they tried really hard to use that den but really couldn't help themself be apart from her, didn't you?
Ebur: ...grrrr
Adamas: Snrk, seems I got it right
Amanita: you made a separate den from me???
Adamas: case n point
Ebur: Ooooh, God forbid I want to sleep with my partner! You insufferable twats
Adamas: You’re such a fucking sap
Amanita: Oh but they're my sap~ And I think it's so cute~
Gets a collective "Bleh" out of them
The two looking over their tubers playing with Ebur's siblings
Amanita: Oh, these kids are great, I love them so much
Ebur: Mhm
Amanita: We should have more~
Ebur, sputtering: Amanita!
Io: HEY WE HEARD THAT YOU FUCKING WEIRDOS
Amanita: what? You didn’t think I was going to want just one clutch did you love?
Ebur: w-what—
Amanita, curling around him: I have an urge for my seeds to spread my wyrm~
Io, gagging:
Fossor: What the hell, you two
Ebur: Not- not in front of my family, my love...
Io: literally traumatizing. What is wrong with them both
The rest is pretty much just VERY half assed future stuff and this is long enough as is 😐 So like. Yeah.

X-Men Movie Tier List Update- Logan
"Old Man Logan" is a story set many years into a post-apocalyptic future following a much older, cynical Logan as he survives in this broken world. This story is terrible, an interesting premise even if it's not the first time Logan has been in a post-apocalyptic future in the comics with Days of Future Past and Age of Apocalypse, but the entire thing is just edgy nonsense. One such example is with the antagonist of the series being a group of inbred Hulk mutants born from Bruce Banner and his cousin, Jennifer Walters. Yes, I'm serious. Mark Millar is one of my least favorite writers ever, I really don't like any of his works. If you like his works, then that's fine, I won't judge you for it.
"Logan" is a straight-up masterpiece that only adapts the premise of this story and becomes a character study of Logan in a future where mutants are dead and less are being born, essentially making a hopeless world for mutant kind. The beginning just shows the state Logan is in, he's old, tired, drunk, and his healing factor is not working as well as usual. He's pretty much a wreck, currently working as a limo driver just to get enough money to buy a yacht for himself and a very old Charles, now stricken with ALS, and just set off into the ocean. Logan naturally is more broken here being one of only two people that cares for Charles, getting medication for him so he doesn't go into any seizures, which is horrible since he sends out a psychic shockwave that can paralyze and can even kill anyone in its radius, which is implied that it actually killed 6 members of the X-Men. And on top of all that, Logan is slowly dying from adamantium poisoning from his skeleton, hence the weakened healing factor. So, in this bleak situation, Logan has already given up on a lot and even thought of just ending it, however, there is one key character here that essentially is a major turning point for Logan and his arc for this movie: Laura.
Now at first, he didn't really care that much about Laura in the slightest, only accepting the job of escorting her and Gabriela to the coordinates near the US-Canada border just to get the cash. However, when Gabriela died when he went to take them from the motel the next day, he just decided to drive back to his refuge in Mexico, where Charles also resides, but that's when he found out that Laura snuck into the limo's trunk. So now he's just stuck with her.
Charles has actually communicated with her telepathically before Logan met her and wants to help her get to the border, especially since he now knows that there are still more mutants out there. However, Logan decides to do it just to escape from the Reavers that are after her. They both see that Laura had escaped from Transigen labs after being created and experimented on there, but Logan then learned that Laura has his DNA in her creation, making her his daughter biologically speaking. However, later on he finds out that the coordinates come from some X-Men comic books Laura had on her, which makes him skeptical about where they're going since he doesn't believe in the comics. So throughout most of the movie, he sorts of just tolerates her albeit there were times he was annoyed by her, but he at least wants to protect her from the Reavers.
After Charles' death, his burial, and a brief trip to a clinic, Logan just takes her to the coordinates just to prove to her that there's nothing there, but still wanting to do it since he knew that's what Charles wanted. When they get there, that's when Logan sees the other escaped young mutants and rests at the camp for a couple of days. It was the first night there that Logan opens up a little bit to Laura about what his body is going through and even about the adamantium bullet that he keeps first as a reminder of what he was, but also why he keeps it.
When he wakes up, Logan actually declines the cash since he knows that the kids need it more when they go across the border and then leaves them to go on. The morning after, he finds out that the Reavers are after the kids, so he goes out and protects them until X-24 kills him in the end. After Laura kills X-24 with the adamantium bullet, she goes to his dying body and Logan shares his final words with her to "not be what they made her," and dies in her arms, with not just feeling death for the first time, but love and hope for the future again.
This whole arc of Logan finally feeling hope again after a long time in this horrible future while also having a limited amount of time is one of the most investing arcs I've seen in movies. The shift of this arc is also shown with Laura. At first, she is silent to Logan for a good majority of the movie. Then after the trip to the clinic, she speaks to Logan for the first time, but only in Spanish, which is a language Logan doesn't know much of. She does tell Logan to sleep in the truck in English when she sees him being tired during the trip to the refuge. And when Logan slept there, on the first time they had a full conversation, and while he is dying, Laura calls him "daddy" for the first time and gives a eulogy after his burial.
I really should give a huge thumbs up to the performances here. Stewart did great as this very aged Charles that's been stricken with ALS and being cynical as Logan is in the beginning of the movie, but still has some hope with Laura and we get to see some of his more optimistic side throughout the journey. But Jackman knocked it right out of the park by not just being Logan, but X-24 as well and how different yet similar they both are, just with X-24 being more savage and aggressive than Logan, but still having that ferocity. Two standout scenes from him are with the burial of Charles near the lake and how he breaks down a little with how Charles is at least buried near water, and of course his death scene. These two are some of the saddest scenes of the movie, with the latter being my favorite scene in this whole franchise.
X-24 also acts as a dark reflection of Logan back when he was a part of the Weapon X program and as a future Laura would be as if she stayed in Transigen.
There is a whole conspiracy mentioned in the movie with how Transigen artificially engineered crops of corn to produce an enzyme that halts the birthrate of mutants through its corn syrup that they put into their edible products, being snacks and energy drinks, but it doesn't have much of a focus, but that's the thing. This movie is not about finding the big bad, but about having hope again in hopeless situations, hence this whole movie is Logan's story.
This literally takes the cake for being my favorite movie from the franchise by far, it deserves every praise it gets. If you haven't seen this movie yet, watch it now!
Next up is a tonal shift from a serious, melancholy film to a more comedic tone, as we head back to Wade Wilson and the film debut of a big cyborg guy from the future with a big gun played by an actor who previously played a big purple guy from space with "Deadpool 2."

"I don't do the pickin, I get picked."
I love Monaleo's self-concept and all artists following me should take note. When you repeatedly hold yourself to a high standard (but with grace and compassion), your reality reflects it. When you take circumstances as Absolutely Factual which can't be changed, your reality reflects it. You can acknowledge hard times and react to them without deciding that they're permanent for you.
When you hold yourself to a higher standard and start applying it to little things like not settling for food you don't wanna eat (even if you're broke rn) and believe you're gonna have options soon, not settling for the shitty parking space, not settling for social treatment which belittles you and makes you feel inferior, your identity becomes defined by the new things you allow. Not tolerating behavior you dislike from men, not letting people bully you, or circumstances grind you down or define you - These are all choices which tie into your identity. You define yourself but what projects into the outside world is what you allow to be true. How do people talk to you or treat you? What opportunities do you feel are owed to you? What blessings? Those are all reflections of how you see yourself.
Our lovely lady Monaleo is a Taurus stellium (Sun, Moon, Mercury) with her Sun in mutual reception with her Aries Venus, meaning that she's always held herself to a higher standard because she believed that's what she simply deserved. Aries Venus women are very upfront and no-nonsense about all of the good things in life that they're entitled to and, like Leos, will often seem like 'too much' for people who probably don't value themselves. But being demanding and knowing your worth is what the universe responds naturally to. It wants to hear direct commands. Not 'what ifs' and 'buts.' Be loud, proud, and direct at all times.
Because of Neptune squaring her Sun and Merc, that tells me that she may have felt very misunderstood, unheard, and potentially gaslit through out life because when you have an abundance in a sign or such a strong energy with planet combos, my intuition asks 'why did you have to defend yourself from such an early age?' So then it explains why having such a strong character and mindset were necessary. She may have been devoured by her environment, esp by the people present, otherwise. Mona, I wanna read for you :)
To everyone else, study Mona's badassery and take notes. And stream Ranchero :)

Of studying and staring (Ominis Gaunt x Original Female Character)
Catherine Blacksmith took great solace in the DADA extracurricular meetings. Not only did it help with her desire to excel in this field of magic, but also indulged in spending more time with Ominis Gaunt, for what Ravenclaw Prefect could not be happier about.
She did not know the boy very well till their fourth year of studying, since he spent most of his time with Sallow twins and she enjoyed the company of Samantha and other fellow Ravenclaws. However, during last year professor Hecat advised them both to meet up with her for some additional studying, and Catherine eagerly agreed.
It was at those classes she realized just how gifted and humble Ominis was, how his smile was so unlike his cold demeanor – it was soft and gentle, and amusingly unclouded. She found out how strongly Ominis felt against “pure-blood nonsense”, and how he liked to hum little melodies when he was at peace with his mind. She enjoyed speaking with him, as the Slytherin boy was quite well-educated and eager to discuss difficult points of classes and charms, and even politics.
Catherine was not exactly enamored with him, or so she wished to believe, the girl just found Ominis incredibly interesting and, if she was honest with herself, quite a good-looking man. His pale skin seemed not to be touched by the sun though it was blessed with the constellations of birthmarks. His light hair was always well combed as the Slytherin boy could not tolerate any mess and dishevelment regarding his own appearance. His fingers were long and delicate, sometimes tapping the unknown rhythm on the table. Ominis, as she took notice, was shorter and slimmer than Sebastian, nevertheless remaining quite tall himself.
As the time passed by, darkened by the unfortunate cursing of Anne Sallow following by her absence from school and, on the contrary, lightened up by appearance of the new Hufflepuff (who was fast to become one of her closest friends), Catherine found herself more and more courageous which resulted in her staring at Ominis’s face with the alarming frequency. She was glad he could not notice her quick glances as he explained the new topic to her or was attentively listening to her own speech. And if professor Hecat ever saw something, she did not raise a brow.
Unfortunately, Ravenclaw prefect was foolish enough to believe that this would continue forever. However, during their study session in the shade of the fountain, Ominis once stopped talking and all of a sudden asked, “Why are you staring at me, Catherine?”. By the looks of his slightly tilted head, the Slytherin boy had to be quite confused with the situation, “Is something wrong?”, he added.
Catherine felt the blood rushing to her cheeks and making them of brighter color than the crimson sunset itself. “What?”, she exclaimed, not wanting her tone to appear as nervous as her heart truly was, “No! I wasn’t staring...I…I was looking at something behind you!”
“And what that might be? A cat, perhaps?”, Ominis specified, knowing her utter adoration with the felines that were living in the castle.
“Yes, indeed!”, eagerly reaffirmed the blushing girl, “It was a very mesmerizing black cat”.
“I knew that you would be distracted by something”, admitted the boy, continuing to make notes in his parchment, “We should avoid studying in such crowded spaces”.
“I take great liking in this place, and you are quite aware of it!”, she responded with a hint of annoyance in her tone, “If you dislike it, you can go and study by yourself in the dungeons…”
“You can't banish me!”, exclaimed Ominis, making the girl’s lips turn into a smile. “This is my studying place as equally as yours, miss Prefect!”.
As soon as she wanted to continue studying (and, perhaps, staring) in peace, their company was rudely interrupted by none other than Sebastian Sallow.
“Found you!”, he almost shouted, concentrating his gaze on Ominis and seemingly ignoring Catherine, which made her frown in displeasure.
“Sebastian?”, the boy turned his head to his oldest friend in confusion, “Is something wrong, you sound quite…rushed?”
“I am in deer need of your help, my friend”, he lowered his voice, “It is quite urgent, but as you are occupied, as it may seem, I will be waiting for you, well, you know where”, then he added with almost unnoticeable softness, “Marion and I will be waiting”
Ominis exhaled with, what Catherine assumed, was the sigh of annoyance. She knew that her friend and the Gaunt were not close with each other. That had something to do, she believed, with Hufflepuff getting much of Sebastian’s attention lately.
“I will come with you, God knows what you would do if I am not there to supervise you”, he declared his sincere apologies to Catherine then and went off to whatever mischief they were about to commit with his friend.
Catherine thought to herself that she did not quite believe in the grand romantic future between Ominis and her. However she knew that the two of them cared about each other, found their conversations interesting and engaging, and for now that was more than enough.

IN WHICH Katie continues to complain about books she knew beforehand would be bad
Still reading the Left Behind series. Finished Apollyon. God I'm tired.
The cast, for those just tuning in:
The Tribulation Force: Rayford Steele, freelance pilot and evangelist; Buck Williams, freelance writer for God; Chloe Williams, Buck's pregnant wife, Rayford's daughter; Tsion Ben-Judah, internet-famous evangelist and ex-rabbi; Ken Ritz, charter pilot and new convert; David Hassid, techie and the group's man inside the Antichrist's bureaucracy; Floyd Charles, unemployed doctor.
The Bad Guys: Nicolae Carpathia, Antichrist and beloved leader of the Global Community; Peter Mathews, Pope of Enigma Babylon One World Faith.
Others: Hattie Durham, Nicolae's pregnant ex, rescued by the Tribulation Force, who are trying to make her convert; Chaim Rosenzweig, Israeli scientist and friend to Nicolae, Buck, and Tsion. There's also the two witnesses, resurrected saints who do nothing but yell about Jesus and cause natural disasters.
At the beginning of the book, most of our heroes are off to Israel for the meeting of the 144,000 Jewish witnesses, knowing that this will mark them as enemies of the Global Community in general and the Antichrist in particular and expose them to potential reprisal. Perhaps I'm too sensible for a thriller novel, but that's stupid.
Buck, Chloe, and Tsion are going, and Rayford has work, but "pregnant, Hattie Durham had been left home fighting for her life against poison in her system." The Tribulation Force harps on how much they care for Hattie, but leaving her alone while she's possibly dying indicates it's all talk.
David has designed a number of "handheld electronic organizers" that can access position data, connect to the internet, and make calls. In other words, he's invented smartphones.
Nicolae takes some time out of his day to try and threaten the two witnesses into no longer messing with Israel's water supply. A valiant effort, but one doomed to fail because somehow the guys spreading drought and disease have the blessing of a loving God.
In a review of the professions represented by the Tribulation Force, Chloe is said to be "without a specialty." Not coincidentally, she's the only woman. I'm pretty sure if she were a man something she studied in college would have come up by now, but as it is the extent of Chloe's abilities and character is Woman.
Chaim argues against Nicolae being the Antichrist by saying "He seeks world peace, disarmament, global unity," to which Chloe replies "My point exactly." As Jesus said, "Cursed are the peacemakers, for they will be called the Antichrist." Or something like that.
Meanwhile, we return to a dangling plot threat from the last book: was Amanda, Rayford's second dead wife in three years, a traitor? The answer will not surprise you! She wasn't. All the evidence against her was faked by Nicolae, who already has a personal vendetta against the Tribulation Force despite them being seven people operating out of a basement.
The Meeting of the Witnesses happens, and Nicolae makes a suitably dramatic entrance in a helicopter just as Tsion is trying to read John 3:16. Points for timing.
Pope Peter (II) gives a little speech to the 144,000, representing how the authors think proponents of religious tolerance talk. He offers "the blessings of the universal father and mother and animal deities," advertises his religion, which "includes and affirms and accepts the major tenets of all the world's great religions," and refers to a "multilayered plural godhead." The idea of all the world's religions forming seamlessly into one faith is utter nonsense, but given the choice between that and True Christianity, I'll take the father and mother and animal deities any day.
Nicolae gives his own speech, and the two witnesses pull a funny prank where they make him thirsty and turn the water he tries to drink into blood. He immediately starts cursing them and threatening to kill them. I suppose this is the witnesses' roundabout way of trying to tell the audience he's the Antichrist, since they don't dare say it out loud for reasons that are never made entirely clear.
Nicolae later describes this as an attempt to poison him, and, while he embellishes the incident somewhat, he doesn't need to - they tried to make him drink blood. In no world is that not an attempt to poison someone. Hell, do it on a large enough scale, like the two witnesses are doing to Israel, and it counts as biological warfare!
In Chapter 4, Hattie's baby dies, probably because the authors didn't know what to do with the idea of the Antichrist's child. Hattie's immediate response is an overwhelming desire to kill Nicolae and avenge her child. My ship is home to a thriving coral reef ecosystem BUT now I have a new pipe dream for this series: I want Hattie to get that sonofabitch. She has the strongest motive out of any of the major characters and, unlike the Tribulation Force, she doesn't believe Nicolae is fated to survive another year, so she'll actually TRY. In a good story, she'd be the hero - the only one with a desire, a drive, and a willingness to act. In the story as it is, the authors just want us to laugh at her.
The narration says of the scene in a bar that "Not all the couples were made up of both sexes." Much shock. How scandal.
While he's planning his team's daring escape from Chaim's house, Chloe accuses Buck of "playing Spiderman." RESPECT. THE. HYPHEN.
Tsion implores his audience to tell people that the catastrophes befalling the Earth are "God's way of getting their attention." I will reiterate that these catastrophes are deadly. God's way of getting people's attention to to kill them.
Ken says something trite about Hattie, and Rayford says, "Ritz, you've got to be on the feminist' top ten most wanted list." Addendum to my pipe dream: I want Hattie to kill Rayford too.
Chaim is letting the Tribulation Force stay in his house and convert his staff, meaning he's surrounded by Christians. He's taking it very well and he thinks that the "seal of God" that they can see on each other is just a silly little joke. I aspire to have his level of tolerance.
We learn that Ken has a considerable pile of gold stashed away, because he makes a lot of money, spends none of it, and shared the authors' weird beliefs about money even before converting to Christianity. He buried it under the airport he usually works from, which he is thinking of buying - a situation bearing an odd resemblance to a Biblical parable. That feels like it should be intentional but I really doubt it is.
Precisely because they were dumb enough to go out in public where Nicolae could target them, the Tribulation Force has to make a daring midnight escape, during which Ken is killed and the position of my favorite character is left wide open. At least they know where he hid all his gold?
Buck also gets left behind, which is an issue, because it was him being charged with yet another murder that made the escape necessary. He just goes back to Chaim's house and waits for the whole thing to blow over for what ends up being five months.
Another judgement comes in which the sun loses a third of its brightness. The authors interpret this as causing deep cold weather. Now, I'm not an astronomer yet, but I'm pretty sure that a loss of solar luminosity that large would actually move the sun's habitable zone, possibly removing Earth from the area of the Solar System where liquid water, and thus life as we know it, is possible. On the plus side, maybe Venus will cool down a bit.
Chaim describes Israel as the "land where the name Jesus Christ is anathema." Once again the authors express their understanding of Judaism as a religion whose defining characteristic is hating Christ.
The loss of sunlight and solar power causes an energy crisis, and the narration puts the death toll in the hundreds of thousands. The very next page, Tsion describes the catastrophes as an "attention-getter." I'm going to repeat myself ad nauseam, but this is how the authors justify their God killing so many people - it gets the attention of the survivors.
Later on Chaim asks the real questions - "Why can he not get people's attention through wonderful miracles, as he did in the Bible? Why make things worse and worse until a person has no choice?" The authors, via Buck, try to shoot this down, but Chaim is right. God's tactics are abusive and coercive, and trying to tell us that he's loving is the icing on the cake.
Hit character limit. More coming. So, so tired.

june 08 - (do you think you're) better off alone
prompt: postcard rating: wordcount: 1,479 characters: Flowey warnings: fear of abandonment; loneliness prompt from this post, read it on ao3 here
——
When Frisk went to college, they left the country entirely.
Some 'exchange program' or something that got set up between a couple of foreign countries and the Monster Embassy. He doesn't know the full details, he wasn't really listening when Dad was explaining the whole concept to Frisk. It didn't pertain to him, so it didn't matter.
Now he wishes he'd listened so he at least knew where his stupid sibling is right now without having to ask about it.
Instead, all he knows is that they're overseas somewhere with Chara and MK and a couple of the Snowdin bunnies until winter. They left a little over a month ago. That means about three and a half months until they come home.
A few years ago, he'd have pretended it didn't bother him even remotely.
Hell, he may not have even had to pretend, back when he first came to the Surface at Frisk's insistence. He didn't feel much, back then, only extremes. Usually he was numb. Maybe bored. It wouldn't have bothered him, then, if they left and never came back at all. It still shouldn't bother him now, it shouldn't matter. They're just some stupid human kid who ended up happy and privileged and able to attend classes in Italy or whatever for a few semesters of their college career.
He shouldn't care about them at all to begin with.
But he does. And even if he won't admit it out loud, he misses them.
He misses them a lot.
It's honestly kind of pathetic, how much it tears him up that they're overseas instead of at home with him. It's pathetic that he cares about them so much, that he misses them so much, that he's so fucking scared they aren't going to come back. There's a part of him, a very small but very vocal part that's still Asriel no matter how hard he tries to kill it, that has a lot of really pathetic and really complicated feelings about this situation.
(He's so happy for them. They seemed so happy when they found out they could study abroad.)
(He's terrified that they won't come back, that they've decided they like it better wherever they are now. He's scared they'll just take Chara away from him again and stay gone.)
(He's lonely and sad because they're not here.)
Despite all his verbal insistence to the contrary, Flowey doesn't like being alone. He's had enough so-called 'alone time' to last him several lifetimes, he does what he can to keep someone nearby to remind him that he's alive, to talk to. And his distaste for being by himself is only a discomfort he feels more keenly knowing that Frisk and Chara left willingly. Knowing that they chose to leave him here alone.
(It's pathetic. It's total nonsense.)
(The worst part is having to live with the fact that if either of them had known how completely terrifying this is for him they never would have left.)
(Frisk would put their dreams on hold for him and he knows it and that scares him a great deal more than almost anything else they could ever possibly do.)
There's a part of him, small and quiet but insidious and convincing as can be, that says Frisk isn't going to come back. It says that they never cared about him, not really, because why would they? It says that they'll stay in Spain or Rome or England or wherever they are rather than come back here to deal with a stupid talking flower that can't even tell them he cares about them.
He jerks himself out of his thoughts when he hears the front door open.
These days, they all live in one house again — neither Mom nor Dad wears their rings, and they don't sleep in the same room, but they can tolerate each other enough to live in the same house. Frisk has all but refused to move out up until their chance to leave the country completely. And, admittedly, Flowey would follow Frisk almost anywhere if they'd let him, so he's here, too.
(Maybe he should have asked them to take him along.)
"Flowey!" Mom's voice calls. There's the sound of papers shuffling, the door closing. She meanders into the living room where he's sunning himself in the large bay window seat, sorting mail. "You have mail, my son."
She doesn't slip and call him Asriel anymore, not unless she's really emotional. Neither does dad. Still, hearing her still refer to him as her son despite having had it proven time and time again that Flowey isn't Asriel anymore, not really, can be both painful and heartening at times... Like now, for instance.
He raises a brow, but doesn't bother asking who in the world would bother sending a talking flower mail.
Mom sets a sealed envelope that looks two seconds from bursting open and two postcards on the cushion next to him. If she were Chara or Frisk, he may tolerate her opening the mail for him and reading it to him, but as it stands...
Well, she just doesn't get those rights.
Not yet, at least.
Maybe one day, set in some nebulous future after he's possibly gotten his mind right after a hundred years and some change of not really even being entirely sure who he is.
He snakes a vine out of his pot and snatches up the postcards.
One has the shape of the country of Spain on one side, and text that reads 'Greetings from Spain!' in a fancy cursive font. The other has an admittedly pretty, scenic photo of a Spanish coastline on its front, with no text.
The back of the first one has Frisk's blocky handwriting on it. It says, 'Heya, Flowey! Hope mom isn't driving you batty without me around for her to fret over directly. Spain has been awesome, but I can't wait to come home for the winter. Love and miss you tons! -Frisk'
He's not expecting the relief he feels reading it, but he's not going to go looking gift horses in their mouths. He just lets himself relax a little, possibly for the first time in a month, and sets the card aside. Mom has already meandered away to her chair, where she's perusing her own stack of mail, so he can take a minute to smile to himself.
Frisk misses him.
(Stupid. Of course they miss him.)
(They haven't made a secret of the fact they care about him. At this point, it's probably a pretty low blow for him to expect them to abandon him.)
He turns the second card over and blinks at it. Unlike Frisk's tidy little message, this one is covered in Chara's messy scrawl.
'Hi Azzy. With any luck you aren't going half as crazy being stuck an ocean's width away from me as I am being stuck an ocean's width away from you. I always wanted to travel when I was alive, and I'm glad I got to come along with Frisk to study abroad in Spain, but it's not the same without you being here. I'm trying really hard not to bum Frisk out with my moping, although it's hard telling if I'm managing or not. December seems so far away.'
'But that's enough of me complaining! Spain has been great, and since you aren't here to experience it with us I've decided I'll journal it all and send it to you whenever we send out letters home. Lots of love (and noogies). -C'
It's a poor substitute for actually being there, but Flowey plucks up the sealed envelope with embarrassing speed, slicing the top flap open with the delicate tip of a thorn and withdrawing the bulging stack of folded papers eagerly. The whole stack seems to be covered from top to bottom in Chara's messy handwriting, front and back.
He makes a mental note to heckle them over sending him a freaking novel about their experiences.
... Still, it settles something uneasy in him to know that Chara won't spare him any ugly details. If something bad happened, they'll have written it down. If he reads this, he'll know exactly what his siblings have been up to on a day to day basis.
That's good enough for him.
He settles in to start reading, holding the stack of papers up with two of his vines in front of his face there in the sun.
He'll probably end up writing a pretty verbose letter in reply, if he's honest. (He tries to be honest, these days. He really does.) He may not get as deep into the emotional details as Chara probably did, and he hasn't done a whole lot worthy of chronicling, but that doesn't mean he doesn't have anything to say.
He'll have plenty to say once he's done reading, he's certain.

heyo! question time!
i've noticed that in older posts, cassie has family members and friends, can you tell me more? do they know about her thing with the zodiacs? what are their relationships like with her? do they try to help her with her zodiac shenanigans or do they mainly stay out of the way?
Yes indeed! I've been chipping away at updates for the other Earth characters in terms of art, but I have enough to give you the gist at least :)
Funnily enough, I had a feeling you might ask about Cassie's family at some point, so I'd started refining their current designs because it has been a while (I'm not done yet though so here's the halfway done art for now lol)
(and old art from 2020 that I never posted lmao) Here's their ages as well if you need them: Cassie - 14 Nora - 46 Andrew - 43 Demitri - 17
Generally speaking, Cassie's family is pretty tight knit and happy, a kind of stability that becomes more and more necessary as things start to get more intense with all the star stuff! It's important to remember that Cassie was born with her star eye, so on some level her family knew that something unusual was going to happen with it eventually, even if they didn't know what at the time. The details of it were still quite the surprise once they did find out, but they each had their own ways of preparing for it or otherwise expecting it beforehand. Like her friends, they do what they can to help her, even if they're not able to directly deal with the supernatural shenanigans themselves. In many cases though, they turn out to be more useful than even they realize! Nora The pragmatic and no-nonsense mom, in stark contrast to her family of quirky dreamer types. Nora's not without her own quirks though, and despite her low tolerance for the fantastical, that doesn't mean she denies its existence either. In fact, she pays close attention to any information that she's given, even if it seems like she's not paying attention at all. She's a lot less serious than you might think, and she'd absolutely commit to a bit she didn't understand if it made her children or husband happy. She's the more detail oriented thinker between her and Andrew, and helps Cassie look at the most important stuff when trying to work out a problem, even if she herself does not understand how it all works. Or at the very least, she's able to give the most practical advice, as her world-weary attitude doesn't come from nowhere. Nora has a business job, usually something involving project management, and has a personality that one would need to survive that kind of job. She works long hours and is almost always seen with a coffee in her hand, a byproduct of her insomnia. Though the control of her anger is carefully calculated at all times, Nora is a bit of a mama bear as well, and will quite literally punch your lights out if you try to hurt her family! Cassie's moments of dry snark or sarcasm come from her, and so does a lot of her confidence in defending herself when being talked down to.
As things escalate, Nora spends more time at home to make sure that somebody is there with Cassie as much as possible, even if she can't fight the spirits for her. She worries about Cassie's safety like any good mother would, but understands that her daughter's situation is inevitable and tries to instill confidence in her instead, trusting that Cassie can handle it.
Andrew A quirky dad with nerdy interests, which lends itself well to his job as a film studies professor at a community college. If Nora is the detail thinker, Andrew is the big picture dreamer, often thinking up fantastical reasons for things or otherwise enjoying the speculative side. He approaches life with great curiosity, for better or worse! He and Nora work well as a couple for this reason, as he is able to help Nora lighten up and have fun when she needs it, whereas Nora can pull him down from Cloud Nine every so often to think more practically.
He is endlessly optimistic and cheerful, and Cassie takes after him in this regard. He encouraged Cassie's years of speculating about what the Starglass was or what it was for, often doing his own speculating as well, and they bonded over the possibilities. He worries more openly about Cassie than Nora does, but is equally as proud when Cassie shows what she can do during a spirit encounter that he witnesses.
This is him holding Cassie for the first time and, notably, her eyes are still closed here. While he was always fascinated by the implications of her star eye, he always loved Cassie for her, not her eye. He calls her "Starshine" as a nickname.
Demitri (or Demi for short) Cassie's older brother, a fact that he uses often to (playfully) joke around at her expense like most older siblings do. Unlike most siblings, however, they get along quite well. He does much to look out for her, even if the ways he does this are more casual or subtle, like giving her rides or getting her a drink at the coffee shop. When Cassie and her friends start spirit hunting at night, he will often insist on tagging along to not only give them a ride there and back, but to also not let a trio of teenage girls go into a forest or cave on their own, regardless if they find a spirit at all.
He's a laid-back artist with an interest in video games, something he and Cassie play often. His art style is influenced by graffiti and street art, something that comes up during an encounter with Chamaeleon and her gang. Though he'd be largely useless in a fight, he will still drop everything to rescue Cassie if asked, feeling some sense of responsibility as her older sibling to protect her. When cornered, he'll usually try to joke his way out of something on instinct.
-------- And now here's some info about Cassie's friends :) (with more old art lol)
These two are Cassie's closest friends, having met each other when they were 8 and forming a trio since. Here's the three of them at that age as a bonus c':
Ellie The most cowardly of the three, but this does not prevent her from tagging along purely out of care for Cassie and Leena, even if it means she'll be screaming for most of it. Bubbly and innocent in demeanour, this causes some to underestimate her, thinking she's merely airheaded. Though she'd never be able to carry a sword like Cassie does, Ellie can still be surprisingly courageous when the chips are down, even if it's sporadically. She and her family work on a farm, and that knowledge comes in handy when placating the behaviour of some of the corrupted animal spirits. When they first met, Ellie and Cassie got along quickly by virtue of having similar personalities and interests, and Ellie didn't find Cassie's eye to be all that distracting.
Leena Normally an outcast and fairly quiet overall, but bitingly sarcastic when she isn't. She cares very little about the opinions of others, though this is largely as a shield against bullying than anything else, as her interest in anything morbid or creepy made it hard for her to make friends initially. A huge fan of all things supernatural, Leena was initially drawn to Cassie purely because of her star eye, but they quickly bonded over being outcasts, albeit for vastly different reasons. Leena is very much an opposite to both Cassie and Ellie when it comes to most things, but are on the same page for the stuff that matters, at least once they were able to navigate Leena's more unusual ways of showing affection.
Leena insists on tagging along for the spirit hunting purely for the sake of something actually interesting happening in their otherwise sleepy small town, though she does deeply care for her friends in secret. Prior to Cassie's training, she was the most physically adept of the three via her skills in martial arts.
Though ultimately harmless, her friends have learned not to question her evil laughter, as Leena always seems to be plotting something. Even if that something is nothing more than planning to scare Ellie, usually with a scary story. A lot of those stories become surprisingly relevant once the spirits start appearing on Earth, at least when it comes to the rumours of their town being haunted.
#thanks for the ask!#i am very sleepy right now so i hope this is actually coherent lol#asks#tabsters#my art#my OCs#Starglass Zodiac#SGZ#long post

I wonder if you have any thoughts regarding Neopolitan in the story, since aside from being murderous towards Ruby, I can't really think of what greater role Neo would actually have in the story or if she has any narrative foil stuff or anything you've talked about before. In my mind she kind of occupies a nebulous story grey zone/limbo in what might happen, but I'm curious to hear your thoughts. Do you think Cinder allying with Neo has any greater significance or what?
Neo was initially one of those narrative weakspots with a fit-for-form purpose (and literally based on an icecream). She provided a purposeful (and showy) exit for Roman, a fight for Yang (conflict for Yang's character) and the entry for Raven. Functionally speaking she did all she needed to do; fandom latched onto her, because she was evil and cool.
I generally tolerate Neo fans (one of my mutuals is one, after all) but I can't help but notice a female character who doesn't speak is the fandom's darling. She can't disabuse them of their fantasies and projections about her character. Whilst I think they accidentally stumbled into some interesting disability representation, it wasn't really done so with the best of intentions, and I don't think her fandom overall cares much about that. Forgive me for thinking poorly of most of them. It's not lost on me that for a fandom which largely doesn't care about or pay attention to dialogue, a character who doesn't really have much material is one they're vocally attached to. My wish would've been that they'd write a character who speaks sign language, if she had more narrative importance.
My exception here is my mutual who likes her because they obviously have developed opinions I think are more interesting and actually tease out Neo's character.
That being said, I think Neo is also an excellent case study of how the allusions/influences can be used to paper over narrative weakspots, and generally what most writers - probably universally, especially with a serial work - take advantage of whilst writing on the fly. There are going to be subconscious elements in your story you never knew worked properly. Fandoms seem to think that there is the 'original idea' - and this isn't just a RWBY thing - and everything thereafter is some corruption, or that anything ad hoc is inherently weak and unjustified. This doesn't appreciate that storytelling is organic - and deeply, profoundly subconsciously motivated, and if you've got something at hand to play with, like the use of allusions, you actually have an incredibly elastic work. So it is totally absurd to refer to a prescriptive idea of a work when it's also evolving (and with RWBY specifically there is a lot of nonsense surrounding this topic I'd rather avoid - but all of the things I talk about on here, the monomyth, alchemy, Jung, are all conceptually rooted in red, white, black and yellow, the very foundation of the show - the phases of alchemical transformation, technically in order of black, white, (yellow), red - if they're following these ideas, they are structurally 'staying true').
If you look under my Raven anabasis theory tag, I recently discussed how they ad hoc justified Neo's character. With influence from Hekate (referenced through one of her names as Trivia, an epithet for Hekate), I think Neo was the set-up for what will amount to their exit from Ever After (Hekate's torch lights Persephone's way on her return from the underworld). In terms of her reintroduction - read as fanservice, and it was a bit of that - what that actually sets up is the resolution of Volume 9, so it was actually very necessary to do - to boot, the illusory world accompanied by an illusory enemy is pretty successful conceptually. From a practical perspective, she also gave Cinder someone to play off of in her relative exile - and Cinder is also a character who can talk a lot, and enjoys monologuing, so she works with Neo well. Especially because we get lines such as Cinder pointing out Neo is 'free' - there's some tacit jealousy implied in this in Volume 6, and I'm deadset on the idea they've known Cinder's backstory the whole show - and Neo is able to do things Cinder can't. It works for Cinder's character, but I don't think we're really meant to be learning as much about Neo by contrast. But she's very important in this respect - and then, of course, you've got the fact that her desired vengeance against Ruby is false; Roman died to his beliefs.
(As an aside - the people who say Neo should be angry at Cinder instead, because she's responsible for Roman's death, need someone to sit with them and tell them what's happening in the story. If one is actually so narratively ill-equipped as to fail to understand that Roman is eaten by a Grimm in a sudden fashion realising his worldview - and it's a monster protecting Ruby - one genuinely needs help).
The set-up is obviously forgiveness. That's a gimme. Forgiveness, communication, putting down the weapon - hard-earnt, no doubt, and with the mood Ruby's in it's not going to be friendship-is-magic bullshit - but this is also great because it revisits Roman's absolutely absurd beliefs which are textually rejected, and which right now Ruby is basically feeling like - that everything is cold and hard and everyone loses and there's no hope and no way out and there are no heroes coming. That is the kind of ad hoc shit I am totally here for, because there's a direct tie between Raven's introduction (Neo, saving Yang) and Raven's potential reintroduction (heroes are real - hard-won, and imperfect, but real).
But that Neo is a villain who's angry is an interesting reversal - it's a swapped position, from the hero feeling vengeful against the villain for what they've done - and it's a position of narrative empathy, really. It's very important. It's very important from a thematic perspective - of exploring someone else's experience, getting the whole story (lol Ozlem) and generally setting up how the major villains of this story are going to be dealt with. It's very, very clever. So Neo is totally fit-for-purpose in this respect. However, I don't think she necessarily has as developed a character arc as to the likes of Winter or Emerald - or at least that degree of narrative importance - and so the resolution of her story, once she's served her role, might even be something as strange as her choosing to stay in the crossroads/Ever After (Hekate's domain). She doesn't have the same ties emotionally, thematically, beyond what she's serving right now, and whilst the ad hoc definitely works, I don't think it's really possible to fix this fundamental weakness.
Or - it's not really a weakness, unless you're really attached to Neo and thought she was going to singlehandedly fistfight Salem.
So in this sense, I think she's a very interesting character (because they even managed to make Roman Hekate's 'torch'), she's just not psychologically or emotionally interesting to me because I don't think that's her narrative role. Then you've got the absolute absurdity which is these same people who refuse to take Cinder seriously as a character earnestly and openly make out Neo to be of enormous narrative importance - because it's based on feelings. It's why writing a post out like this is likely to incur upset, because narrative importance is, after all, predicated upon personal feelings, not the text proper. It's complete bullshit of course.
This was a great ask, thanks anon. Hope you're having a good one.

Alright! its time for top anime of 2022 list🎉
This year I didn't watched that many however I did found some good ones! 2 of those are recurring shows which I try to avoid, as this might be used as a rec list, but I like them that much!
the tldr; is on twitter
10- Vampire in the garden: this one was on netflix which I guess is why it didn't get that much attention, i like the concept and visuals were very nice its a bittersweet end but I quite enjoyed. 09- Raven of the inner palace: the story is interesting, its starts very monster of the week style with ghosts then moves to a main villain, the relationships between the MC and the rest of the cast is honestly the highlight. My only complain is pronunciation of the names are jp localized so I hope this gets a chinese dub. 08- Gundam: the witch of mercury: the last gundam i watched was wing and do not remember anything but i know its reputation, I gave this one a chance because the designs are really fun and I also went in with the idea that it was yuri bait. TURNS OUT this might not be what I was expecting, there is one more ep of this + the rest of the cour so I'm hoping it improves from here. The characters carry this for me even the background ones, they all feel like characters not props! Plus ZERO GRAVITY HUGS!! 07- Mob psycho 100 III: I know this list is numbered but I love all of these equally ! However, this in comparison with s1 and s2 is one of the weakest, maybe bc it had to close loose ends? idk but its still a good one, the moment I cry was with ekubo more than reigen i know i know but reigen had his moment in s2 and I think that hit harder. Time to read the manga! 06- My dress-up darling: this is ecchi, im saying this first bc if people barely tolerate bnha fanservice this is not for you. I usually avoid this but I was dumb and didn't saw the tag😂 and I got attached to the main characters and the story, I read the manga and the ecchi is very far and far between as the story progresses. I think it has a lot of heart and its quite fun love story, plus you learn so much about cosplaying! 05- Sasaki and miyano: cutest bl I've ever watched/read, sasaki reminds me of childe which I find it so funny I can't unsee it. Miyano isn't your uwu protagonist and their relationship is build sloooowly on a lot of love and respect. Its nice to see this type of bl without its usual uh nonsense. 04- The case study of vanitas II: the thing about this second season is that i didn't know if bones was going to adapt everything, the manga updates at shoujo pace and has had rough months of absence HOWEVER it was all adapted, like a month after the last ch came out we saw that ep which is the wildest thing for me tbh. Anyway that last ep is why this is here, it was the BEST fight scene ending like [SPOILERS] watch it, it was amazing. 03- Chainsaw man: yeah i know ofc this is here, this is one of the best adaptations I've ever watched, it is beyond perfect. Several episodes I felt like I was watching a movie, can't rec it enough it even has its own mads mikkelsen inspired character voiced by the same va of the other mads mikkelsen inspired character from my other fave show. Also love the detail how mappa draws shoes as fujimoto draws them. 02- Spy x family: this is another good adaptation, I started reading this manga in 2019?? And I kept thinking how GOOD of a story it was and it was a shame so little attention it got, but now with the anime its got the much deserved attention. I adore it immensely, here is hoping for a continuous success.
01- Bocchi the rock: THIS is at the top bc of how relatable it is for me and what a nice surprise to know its actually a good anime. I was expecting it to be another "cute girls do cute things" like "do it yourself" from this year and I wasn't wrong its just that it has a little more depth than that. All the girls have good and bad traits, goals and obstacles to overcome so the story focuses on that with their collective goal of playing music. As someone with social anxiety that lean on rock/playing guitar to make friends and not succeeding on that front I want to see bocchi accomplish her goals, its cathartic like that. Also the animator are truly having fun with the different styles of animating the jokes which is always a treat to watch.
If you got it to this part, thank you so much for reading! If you give any of this a chance and like them let me know! I love talking about anime as you can see haha. I hope next year the season isn't as dry mid way so I get to watch more!
Happy New Year!!🎉

❖ 𝑰𝑵 𝑭𝑶𝑳𝑲𝑳𝑶𝑹𝑬 [ ... ] a revenant is a spirit or animated corpse that is believed to have been revived from death to haunt the living.
private + selective retelling of HEATHCLIFF inspired by the pages of EMILY BRONTE'S wuthering heights. other pieces of media are highly influenced to this portrayal, as it will delve into the nature and world experienced by him. scripted by renée. seasian. she/her, 25+. [ ... ] this world deals with the struggles within social class, poverty, discrimination of 19th century socialism. proceed with caution, as this is considered to be a mature blog. rules under the cut. divergence will be talked about soon!
heavy introspection on mental illness, struggles of existence, etc. a study on tragedy and revenge, scorned love and turn to pure madness ... generational curses, alcoholism, broken love, birds of a feather, the misunderstood, the mad poet: the man who could not go on. the one who is never enough.
mains: other:
the rewriting of Heathcliff fits into gothic horror settings . after starvation that led into his death , he did not die with a light heart . Heathcliff's jealousy and rage manifested into a violent entity that haunts human lives . takes the appearance of an angry ghoul , sometimes will possess corpses and/or attempt human vessels to exact his revenge . due to his death by starvation , many will feel an uncomfortable almost painful hunger within his presence . it also serves as an indicator that he's near .
[ 001 ] i'm going to keep things lowkey here , but basically BASIC RP ETTIQUITE IS EXPECTED. any form of hate, bigotry or nonsense will not be tolerated, at this point I feel it's pretty stark on what that entails. any form of racism, anti-semitic, ableism, aggressive posting / duplicate bashing, vaguing , petty callout posts ( there's a difference between informing the rpc on a problematic person and fueling drama. ) any gross behavior , please do not bring any of it to my blog. I will also often remove myself from things that make me uncomfortable and soft/block for my comfort. if i do unfollow i always softblock , please do not approach me asking why.
[ 002 ] based on the vibe and whether or not i feel like using icons , i may or may not. I use small font with double space , sometimes regular font depending on what i'm feeling. i primarily write in third person , am not against anyone writing in first person , literally do what you want it's super chill here. i exclusively use beta editor, please use it. I prefer not to respond to super tiny / high aesthetically formatted things because it's just not friendly to users who have problems with eye - strain , etc. [ 003 ] THE EASIEST WAY TO WRITE W ME: is to continue prompts i've answered , turning them into threads. or alternatively, I will reblog anything you answer as a thread if muse strikes. spam me with memes / prompts! i always say this but , there's no expiration date to anything i reblog. if you want to interact , sending memes is the easiest way. i like to keep a small following , focusing on a dash with those who i can see myself writing with, which means I won't always follow back. this is not meant to be taken as serious as it sounds, i just genuinely cannot write with everyone , i hope you understand. i can sometimes be slow with replies. if i owe, i truly don't mind being reminded.
[ 004 ] THIS IS VERY MUCH A MATURE BLOG. it delves into the social class of the 19th century onward, discrimination and racism will be themes that fall against HEATHCLIFF as a character. i will always tag heavy topics, but i won't remove these experiences from my interpretation as they heavily change and determine the way his entire structure and world falls apart. on the note of ambiguity that has been considered an argument: HEATHCLIFF is not a White Briton, nor will that ever come into discussion on this blog. He was adopted into a well off family, has always been described with dark hair, dark eyes, and dark skin. in reference to being regarded to a derogatory term i won't use but is (Lashkar, originated from the Arabic word al-'Askir) in referencing south asian seafarers.
[ 005 ] shipping isn't necessary to write with me, however i'm always open to the idea of different ships, as well as platonic connections. ADDITIONALLY, i can't ship instantly even if we're writing muses that have a connection. i'm heavily plot based and that includes shipping. i prefer to talk about our muses in depth before considering whether or not the chemistry is there. HEATHCLIFF is not mentally well and i can hardly consider anything would be considered healthy, however i am down to plot things out!
006 ] : MAINS. i will state that i obviously will have a preference for writers that i plot with/write with frequently, but uncertain on having exclusives because i like to write with a variety depending on how things play out. this blog will contain affiliates, which simply means my blog is affiliated around certain muse(s) does not mean exclusive , it just means they hold priority to plots, replies, etc.

anyway piss poor sleeping habits aside
i think i figured out why A/B/O tag pisses me off, i don’t give a shit about the porn angle people can do whatever they with that. but like i mean the implied societal bullfuckery this concept requires me to buy into, yes yes suspension of disbelief, but this time the concept is just asking too much of me
1. the bad science/biology everything about this concept is based on pissed me off greatly as a long term bio nerd. Especially when you remember the guy who fucking made that study fucking regrets making the damn study!!!
hell i’d be more tolerant of the pheromone nonsense if the coding surrounding the…omegaverse…was at least based on eusocial insects like ants, bees termites etc. but noo its wolves? why wolves??? wolves do not act like that…!!!
2. the rampant mischaracterization, unless is an oc/ original work or something, there just is always some level of mischaracterization going on i swear. i personally can not fathom why flatting out complex dynamic characters into boring cardboard cut outs with scent fetishes would be fun to you people??? do not get me started on how this types of fic twist character relationships and motivation
#talking to the air#ignore me#i’m just being a hater#let me have my 2am hater hours#will probably delete later

basic information under the cut!
guidelines. : this is a temporary info placement.
¹ first things first, i am a returning rper! i’ve been mia for over two years and i am just barely making my way back into the rpc. my activity will be sporadic as i am rebuilding my groove. [i would also like to address that i am nd. & suffer mh so it will add onto my activity and pacing.] i do mutual exclusivity and selective follow as marvel [and dc] are not my strong suit. [who am i? : 𝚔𝚒𝚝𝚝𝚢 . 𝚝𝚑𝚎𝚢/𝚝𝚑𝚎𝚖 . 𝟸𝟻+ & 𝚕𝚊𝚝𝚒𝚗𝚎]
² please follow basic rp etiquette! i will not tolerate or participate in catty nonsense, i especially do not tolerate BIGOTRY AND SHADINESS. it costs nothing to be kind.
³ as i mentioned before with my activity, my responses will most likely be short and simple as i get comfortable and build as the thread goes, do not feel obligated to match me either. i write in tiny text, spacings and small icons for a clean simple aesthetic — it’s just my preference. if this bothers you though do not hesitate to let me know. in addition, my perspective may fluctuate depending on my mood!
⁴ please tag any eye horror and bright neon colors / flashes. i will do my best to tag my posts accordingly as well. tagged posts will go under ‘trigger tw’ or ‘trigger /’.
⁵ while atsv may be lighthearted for the majority, i decided to take on a bit of a different approach with my spiderverse character. her part of the web draws inspiration from goth, science fiction & neo-noir subgenres [with a slight cyberpunk undertone] of the 90s \ 00s. i really wanted a horror vibe to her as i don’t see many spider-people with that aesthetic unless it involves the symbiotes and i can imagine a surrealist design for her arc. mandy’s world and as a character [loosely] is inspired by films such as [in order of inspiration] : the crow, dark city, underworld, btvsu, barbwire, spawn, queen of the damned, dark angel, etc.
i really wanted an eric draven \ selene \ faith [btvsu] vibe with mandy & her spidersona! her costume design is still a wip, atm i will just be editing photos of already existing spider-women as i craft something slowly. [ᶦ’ˡˡ ᵐᵒˢᵗ ᵈᵉᶠ ᵖᵒˢᵗ ᵐʸ ᵃʳᵗ ᵇᵉᶜᵃᵘˢᵉ ᶦ’ᵐ ᵗʳᵃˢʰ]
⁶ i only ship with 21+ muns & muses! HOWEVER — shipping isn’t my priority and frankly i’m really nervous when it comes to it just because of the reputation female muses have. shipping for me would require ooc & ic interaction so that we both feel comfortable with each other and build chemistry. i also want to put it out there that mandy is a social creature and she might flirt \ be sarcastic with your muse; that is just the way she expresses herself. it doesn’t automatically set in stone that she is after your character, if this makes you uncomfortable just let me know. [mandy is in her mid to late 20s & a bi-queen.] * i don’t write smut.

me: realistically speaking, adam’s gonna be one of those kids who majors in something for a career, because he wants the success and money and recognition that would come with a high-paying job. and he’s so used to running himself ragged that whether or not he actually enjoys it isn’t something he would take into consideration.
also me, ignoring all of this: adam is a classics major because he seems to actually enjoy translating latin and could conceivably like what the subject has to offer, and that’s all you got binHc that’s all there is
#i don't actually have a strong headcanon for adam's college major but i feel like i'm the only person who thinks about classics#but like. for good reason. because it's probably highly unlikely given all the reasons#like what can he do with that? get a phd? i'm not sure i can see adam tolerating the fluff and nonsense of academia#i dunno i think at the end of the day i just want him to have fun studying something instead of school being a thing for him to endure#wuzzychatter#adam#the raven cycle#trc#my post#i'd say this is one of my few character thoughts that just probably aren't realistic. but that i indulge anyways#text

oct 2 - sour apples
prompt: apple scent rating: t (swearing) wordcount: 1,664 characters: xtale Sans | Cross, Dreamtale Nightmare Sans | Nightmare, Killer Sans | Killer warnings: none prompt from this post, read the full fic on ao3 here
——
Nightmare's realm smells like apples.
Cross catches hints of the smell at random in the first few weeks he finds himself in the Guardian of Negativity's employ. Inside of the castle, the scent is faint — muted to little snatches of fruit smell caught in the semi-stale air. On occasion, it stirs up stronger when something is moved, but as long as he's within the walls of the castle the smell is overpowered by whatever Horror has been cooking.
Outside, it's impossible for him to ignore.
When he finds himself outside the castle, even only feet from the door, it's difficult to think of anything else but the smell of apples. It's pervasive, all-consuming. A faintly sour, bitter tang on the edge of the sweetness of it, and it's enough to fill his mind completely.
At the time, he didn't understand why. He didn't spend enough time around Nightmare to realize the purpose of the smell surrounding the castle.
For the first several weeks, he does not go on any missions, so he is not summoned to Nightmare's study. He spends his time nervously wandering the grounds, instead, pretending he is patrolling despite knowing there is no need for it. He's certain Nightmare knows his wandering is born of nerves, but the others seem...
Well, they seem to buy the idea that he's patrolling, with varying amounts of annoyance and exasperation that he'd waste his time guarding a realm full of people who don't need to be guarded. Several times, Killer tags along on his so-called patrols just to mock him and try to start a verbal dust-up when he jolts at sudden sounds. It's infuriating, and were it not for the fact he owes Nightmare his life he doesn't think he'd manage to tolerate it.
Honestly, it just makes him 'patrol' more often because he'll take the overwhelming smell of sour apples that's steadily becoming familiar and pleasant over any of Killer's nonsense any day.
But then, finally, after a couple of weeks of nearly non-stop sparring with the other members of Nightmare's gang and a lot of training on his own when he isn't nervously pacing the perimeter of the realm, he's told he's ready to begin accompanying the others on missions. Mere hours after that announcement, he's called to Nightmare's study to receive his first mission.
The smell of sour apples is overwhelming.
The moment the doors open to allow him entry, he's nearly taken off his feet by the scent. It takes him totally off-guard, and it's only then that it occurs to him that the smell might be somehow linked directly to Nightmare himself. He manages to keep his wits about him and listen to Nightmare's orders despite the all-consuming smell surrounding him, but it's... Difficult.
It doesn't seem to have an effect on Killer.
But, then, Killer's been with Nightmare the longest, right? He's probably used to it.
Cross isn't.
They leave together, through one of Nightmare's portals, and Cross is thankful to be away from the overwhelming smell of sour apple. It's a relief to step into a neutral 'verse and breathe relatively fresh air after the last twenty minutes having his senses assaulted by the strength of the scent.
"Alright," Says Killer, almost as soon as the portal has closed, "Fuck's up with you? You've been weirder than usual since Boss called you."
"I'm fine," Cross tells him, stiffly, and does not elaborate further.
"Uh huh." Killer is unconvinced, darkened sockets squinting suspiciously, but stunningly he doesn't choose to pursue the matter further.
Cross is certain Killer thinks that he's going to betray them.
He doesn't.
Not yet, anyway.
