I am kinda annoyed that everyone assumes everyone uses Spotify, I have deezer for years now I really like some of their Features.

Circa 1999-2000 I remember downloading on Napster (for Gen Zers: it was PC program for downloading music illegally before there were any smartphones or wayy before Spotify) songs like Cowboys by Portishead or Cocoon by Björk, which I didn't like as much as Sour Times and Venus As A Boy respectively, but they had the most seeds. Funnily, now, after nearly 25 years, they're at the moment my favorite songs from each and it happened with other bands (still love Walking Zero by Sneaker Pimps and Come To Daddy by Aphex Twin just as much, though). People downloading music back then were way ahead of their time.
