REGARDING MY COMMISSIONS

Just wanna post regarding my commissions since I've been asked about it a few times. I replied I'll announce it when it's reopened and people might've felt hanging as that announcement post still wasn’t made for a while now; because I haven't reopened yet. ^^;

There’s a commission queue that gotten clogged up due to having to shift most of my attention on something that suddenly came up IRL. (Maybe I’ll mention what it was specifically in the future.) It was kinda financial thing too, and I underestimated the work to be done; so I thought it’s the better decision not to do refunds with intention to still finish the orders regardless.

Well turned out it was not the better decision. Everything’s only just’ve gotten significantly better last month so I'm getting a much better hold of the commission queue too. Though I have to refund two pieces because my laptop can’t handle the file size anymore. I cannot stress how thankful I am to the patience of these clients! Pretty sure I'd getting an ass-whooping if I was less lucky. 😬 

Maybe I’ll do mini commissions when I’m like 75% clear on the commission queue, things that will only take 3-5 days to complete, to help pay online debt faster. 🤔

So, yeah, I’ll announce when any commissions are up again! Thanks for reading!! If you’re one of the clients on the mentioned queue who hadn’t had their order completed and would like to ask for a refund as well, DM me and we’ll see what we can do!

This is Celandine! Made for @vetiverfox in early 2024. :)

This plush is made using hand-dyed minky, minky, and brushed out acrylic yarn for the fur details. The accessories are made using satin fabric and decorative cord. I can't recall the exact measurements, but I believe this plush was 18 inches tall from the top of the head to the bottoms of the feet. Details on this plush were machine embroidered and appliqued. The wings contain a mixture of wiring and ball jointed armature to make them poseable. Their bell necklace is removable.

Fun facts! I wanna keep this relatively short because I remember prepping a very long write up of this sweetheart when they were originally post.

The fur detail was the first time I tried the technique to brushing out and sewing the tufts as patches of fur on a stripe! As full as the fur details looks, there is some patchy-ness that I wanted to work on ironing out but as of right now, haven't has the chance to practice the technique again.

One edit I absolutely do not regret was fixing the nails RIGHT BEFORE final photos were done. I think the IG reel has how the nails originally looks, pointing every which way when set down and requiring readjustments every time they were moved! Absolutely helped this little one look more finished!

Howdy everyone, I could really use some help. For the last few years I've had trouble with work in the town I currently live in. There is either nothing at all for ages at a time or the jobs I do manage to snatch hold Layoffs within a year. In this last year alone I have tried applying for every job I could and nothing has bit. everything from fast food to janitorial to office work, all these 'urgently hiring' positions have just never given me the time of day. Coupled with lack of public transport and increasing rent, there is just no feasible way for me to stay where I am without becoming Homeless in one of the hottest summers around in a state where there is next to NO homeless care (gotta love red states man.)

So I Urgently need help gathering funds to move closer to family and the chance at finding a better life and stable work.

first off, a massive thank you to everyone who's commissioned me since I reopened them this past april. i have greatly enjoyed drawing your ocs kissing and/or crying, and i look forward to the chance to draw more!!!! <3

For the time being, commissions are my sole source of income. These past few months of work have been spent looking at my expenses and budgeting, and recognizing the need to adjust my prices to better reflect cost of living and to stave off any burnout from drawing full-time. I also wanted a neater, more accessible info post!!!

Hey y'all, I always want to avoid having to resort to commissions especially when I still have an embarrassing amount of backlog, but it seems that my bad luck keeps catching up to me

And the issues we're dealing with are much, much deeper than I thought, and once again, I have to take the fall for my family's finances (my mom's business is currently on rocky waters too)

Hey! Thanks for taking the time to read through my TOS/rules, I've tried to keep it simple and easy~

If you aren't sure about a request you might want to make or do not see the content listed above don’t hesitate to ask me if it's something I'll do!

£ ~ $ ~ ¥: 

I will use PayPal invoice to collect your payment. I accept GBP £, Paypal will make the conversion to your currency for us, but just make sure you are aware of exchange rates!  (E.g. £10 = $13.30 USD approx.) I only start working on commissions after payment has been received. You have 14 days to pay your invoice, if it is not paid after that time you are moved to the bottom of my queue and repeat failure to pay will have you blacklisted! ! All commissions are non-refundable.

Revisions:

I will happily make up to 3 minor changes on your piece during the sketch stage without additional charge, any more than 3 minor/medium changes will cost an additional £10 due to the time it will take me. (e.g. pose changes) Changes to a piece after line art has been completed and colour has been started will cost £20. (e.g. pose changes) Minor changes to colours during the process are free of charge.

Once your commission is completed it belongs to you! However, I do not allow use of my artwork of any kind for NFT or AI generation use.

I always post finished commissions for my own promotional means, but if you do not wish to be tagged/remain anonymous that is absolutely okay!

Commission/Life update for 2024

EDIT 9/16/24

As of now I've resolved around 15 commissions since this post was made at the start of June! This is much faster than I was going the past year. They're going well and I thank everyone again who has been so patient and kind. I've gotten nothing but kindness as a response to the wait, even from those who have been waiting for over a year by now. Thank you.

I recently started two new jobs and school again, so I'm a little busy. BUT everyone is (albeit not at a super fast speed) moving up in queue! Once the owed "Full" commissions are done, I expect to get through Sketch Coms even faster and currently I'm at a good pace to be done by the end of the year.

The best days to reach me are Mondays, Wednesdays and Thursdays at the moment. Otherwise it might take me a day or so to get back to you. I work on my own projects on the weekends to preserve my sanity, lol! Just know if I'm drawing something else, I haven't forgotten my queue!

Just want everyone to know I AM okay now and life has gotten better recently. However the past year and a half have been extremely difficult and I'm only now getting back on my feet. I generally don't like sharing life details publicly, but as a freelancer with clients that have been waiting for a while I feel like transparency is key.

If you don't want an explanation for the delays and just want to know my completion timeline, that's totally okay. Here is all the info up front. I'm going to continue updating my commission queue as usual and will not be accepting any more orders until ALL of the queue is completed. I'm working on finishing the half and full bodies first since they've been the longest waiting in queue. Then the rest. I don't have a set date in mind for when they'll be all done for good but the goal is by the end of the year. I think that's more than doable for me now. If you're a client of mine and have questions/concerns, please message me either here or on Discord and I'll do my best to help you. My username on discord is the same as my Tumblr username. Twitter and Ko-Fi are also options but I don't check them as frequently. I usually work Monday-Thursday so that will be the best time to shoot me a message or expect an update to the queue.

Information on what's been going on is below.

As a few of you might remember, in 2019 I was disowned by my mother for being a lesbian. I made the choice to go no-contact. Since then, up until LAST YEAR, she's routinely harassed me or had other family harass me, stalked me on social media, tried to get to me through the website I take commission orders, and threatened me multiple times. I was forced to move across the country both because I felt unsafe and because my partner had family elsewhere that were more accepting. I've had to change my phone number twice.

It's been extremely difficult both financially and mentally to keep my head above water. In 2021 my grandfather died and I still haven't felt like I've been able to properly grieve. I wasn't able to see him due to her and I wasn't invited to his funeral. We were very close and he meant the world to me. In 2023 my grandmother passed away very suddenly as well, and my mother used it as an excuse to harass me over ko-fi/my professional email. It was such a horrific experience that I fell into a months long spiral that I only just now feel like I'm climbing out of. This is when commissions first stalled. I was also starting to get overwhelmed, as I had to take on more work than I could realistically handle in order to pay bills and rent. That's really it - I just had to take more orders so we weren't kicked out of our apartment, and as my mental state deteriorated I couldn't keep up.

The good news is that my wife and moved earlier this year we're living with supportive(!) family now and our financial burden is much lighter. This gives me time to work on my backlog without re-opening. I'm also going to school again, back in college starting this summer for a second degree. For my own health after commissions are finished I'm likely going to take a break on opening them for a good while, even though I really enjoy doing them.

In the past two months amazing and not-amazing things have happened. The amazing thing is I got an ADHD diagnosis, something I didn't even know had been ruining my life for years. I'm still getting used to the proper medications but I'm already seeing a big improvement. It's as much of a relief as it is frustrating. My mother also reared her head again (like she usually does at least once a year) - this time, though, I learned she'd had a stroke. While I'm not involved with her anymore, I think most people could understand how it would still be a very weird and upsetting situation. As of right now I'm free of her once again, she seems to be making a good recovery and will hopefully continue to live a happy life far away from me. Still, those two things back to back have been a LOT to deal with on top of just trying to get better in general. I stepped away from the internet for a while for my own sanity.

The downside to being a freelancer is that there's not always a safety net. That's what happened to me. Thank you all very much for being kind and patient, I genuinely have had nothing but polite interactions with all of you and I really appreciate it. I'm sorry my personal bullshit got in the way of getting my work done for you. This is the longest I've ever taken to complete commissions and it's something that I'm deeply ashamed of. I promise they will get done. Being medicated and starting to recover from the family drama has revitalized me a bit. If you have any questions or concerns please reach out.

Q: Is that really your only price point?

Yip yup! I don’t offer clean sketches, lineart, flat colors or stuff, only full renders. This was a decision made based on observing other artist friends experiences and my own work process

Regardless of character quantity, background, full body or bust, I always end up getting the piece done in a afternoon. there is a point where this is no longer true (don’t expect me to draw you a 20+ page comic for that price), I will tell you if that’s the case

Too much? The fees are only getting bigger for me!

Too little? Well, if you can afford to pay me what you think my art is worth, then I'll reiterate that tips are always appreciated :>

Q: How much comic can I get for that price?

4-6 panels either spread through 1 or 2 pages, based on how I structure it, ideally your story idea should be like, fit for a strip, a small snipet of your skrunklys

Q: What does the "reserved" tag next to queue (check original post)

"reserved" are for commissions that have been paid for, but whose client is still sorting out all the details, like waiting for a ref to be finished.

I made these comms a separate counter as a way to give people a better idea of how long they'd be waiting before I got to their commission

I forgot to announce an update regarding ko-fi requests! (Yeah, I think I should just call it that instead of 'Doodle for tips'.,.)

It's just some edits on the sample section. But more importantly is that I'd be putting up a date of the closest vacant slot of my ko-fi queue on my about section. So one can get a heads up on when I can draw your Ko-fi request if you'd like one.

What the heck. I'll just open colored doodles for ko-fi tips in the meantime in between the current commission queue.

Now, do note that I will open free colored doodle requests, I don't know when-- just certainly not soon, so you may wait until I announce for free doodle requests. However, apart from how free requests are only available on an unknown dates and I can't say I can fulfill every request sent, these free requests can only be made by prompts which I will decide what it'll look like. With doodles for tips, you can have more say on what the drawing will look like.

TERMS/DETAILS:

I will not do complicated/detailed drawings. Any backgrounds would most likely be super rough ones with monotone colors or no colors at all. (Remember this is a doodle! Drawn casually; rough, simple, and quick.) If, say, the background or little/extra details are a necessary, do note that there's a time limit on every piece made, and that I don't draw fast.

I can also do suggestive, NSFW, Grimdark, blood, and gore.

For NSFW/suggestive: Nothing that depicts the character/s as minors. No incestuous themes. There are extreme fetishes I can't do like scat, inflation, etc. (Ask if you're uncertain.)

Happy late Valentine's day!

I actually posted this yesterday on my Twitter, so apologies on the delay on this end!

I got commissioned by Alilman_writes on ao3 for their CoraLaw fic, Saudade, a rated M, Adult Law/Cora, fix it fic, featuring ghosts, surprise child acquisition, and getting therapy through single parenting. 👌

This is one of the first commissions I've done in a hot minute! That said, this is also the first commission I've done since my accident and my eye Injury! So all things considered, I'm supremely proud of how this turned out!

We decided on both a full version and a cropped version for the fic itself, since the intimacy was off the charts when zoomed in so close like this!

Enjoy all the details too, though, I had loads of fun working on this! Slowly but surely, I'm working through my current queue and I just wanted to say thank you for all your wonderful support and well wishes!

I'll probably make a little post updating everyone on the finer details of what's going on with my injury right after this one, but even so, thank you all, I appreciate and adore all of you! 💕

so, me and my family are currently struggling with money. we've been struggling for a while now and have been able to barely make ends meet, but are especially in need now. we have some late utility and credit card bills and today they cut our water service.

i myself am unemployed and have been struggling to find a full or part time job for a while, so i opened commissions in order to make some money to compensate for the lack of income. however, i didnt have any previous artistic online presence and have yet to grow one in order to get commissions rolling in. this wasn't a big deal before, but like i said, we are in need and money is tight now more than ever.

with that being said... i do have a goal i would like to reach. since i dont live by myself, this is pretty lenient, but i still felt like it was a safe bet. the goal i have in mind is of around $250-300 usd, which is the overall cost of the late bills.
