Will: These past few months, she's been so lost without you.

(So, as I was finding this quote, I already knew about the parallel, and I was going to write about how they mutually feel lost/weird without each other. Then, I realized this parallel has even more subtext than just that! (I put an exclamation point because it has literally blown my mind, possibly because I'm sleep-deprived and have been watching football for 4 hours.) Mike says he was worrying too much about El, and lost Will. Then, Will uses El to disguise himself, as he tells Mike his true feelings. Will thinks that Mike would rather hear El saying that stuff, but Mike says otherwise in his conversation with Will. Like, it's STRAIGHT UP in the dialogue that Mike feels like he lost Will because of worrying about El. It's in the dialogue that Mike would rather hear it from Will, that he values Will's opinion. He tells Will that he needs him to feel normal. He basically tells Will that he's his home. It really does need to be Mike to make the first move, because he's the one who knows what he really needs. Will is too blinded by self-hatred.)

(I cannot express how mind blown I am by this. Like, this might be my new biggest proof on why Byler is endgame.)

I have a theory, or rather an analogy or a comparison, well, it doesn't matter.

When you take a group photo, the cameraman doesn't appear in the photo because he's the one taking the photo. I had an association with Cacofonix and the banquet in the village. Why is everyone at the banquet and the most important events in the village except Cacofonix? (Well, technically he's there too, but he's NOT part of the party) Because we're watching the banquet from his point of view, he's the one telling us about the party, so he's not seen at the party!

Oh my god, this blows my mind. And that's why he's always in the foreground on the last page, because he's the narrator, and he shows us what he saw. He's a bard, he has to tell stories and preserve the memory of important events. Well, he also has "cameraman immortality" because the one filming the event always survives, lol.

I finished watching AOT, and my mind is all over the place......

Honestly I loved the ending. So bitter and so right. Harsh and yet satisfying.

Eren is an epitome of being the Anti-hero. His will or not, he was meant to fulfill his destiny. A part of me will always wish he could spend the last 4 years with Mikasa in that cottage. I will always cry over the way he said he's tried countless times but the outcome is always the same. So he took it upon himself, carried the burden of mass destruction and genocide over himself.

The freaking fact that he went against his people and did everything to protect the Founding Titan's power. He didn't want it to fall into the enemy's hands, because they would abuse that power.

That very power, that he ended up abusing in the process.

Yes, he was aware that innocents will be killed, but knew if he didn't commit it the other side will.

He was selfish, yet selfless enough to use the Founding Titan's power to end the misery once and for all, sacrifice himself to protect his people, his loved ones. Yet all he saw on the other side of the ocean were enemies, enemies who bought him pain, the people who only took from him. He wanted freedom. Freedom for his people.

After all, Eldians weren't the monsters the world believed them to be. Yet he saw them exactly how the enemies saw them, Monsters That Will Destroy Their World.

I did not know that an anime would make me realise how -

We Humans When Given The Power Will At Some Point Abuse It.

As long as humans exist, so will ambition. Ambition to be free? Ambition to be powerful? Ambition to protect our people? And in the pursuit of it all, we forget peace. We fail to realise, that even on that other side there are innocents. It's Humans VS Humans and every side considers the other the monster, the threat to their existence. Sadly, a cycle that just never ends.

I'm doing homework on 1984 by George Orwell and there is a world with an extreme totalitarian regime where sex is purely for reproduction and shouldn't be done for other reasons.

My first thought was: "Why is it weird and bad to have sex only for reproduction?" And then I realised - people want to have sex. When they love each other romantically, they voluntarily want to have sex. Just for the pleasure (?) of having sex. That is truly wild to me.

From this I deduce I may be asexual.

Fuck, I probably am. The autism might be helping with it too.
