Sad man's death parade represents the sadness inside Himiko
And then Ochako touched all of it and made it all weightless
Ochako touched the sadness inside Himiko and made it float away
🥲

I’ve been watching mha English voice actor Q&A panels to make myself feel better and I love that it’s a general consensus among the cast that everyone loves Twice.
Dabi’s English va said Twice’s death was the scene that hurt him the most 😭

Getting Gojo's voice actor, Yuichi Nakamura, to voice Umemiya gives me the same energy as getting Bakugou's voice actor, Nobuhiko Okamoto, to voice Inuzuka.

It boggles the mind in the funniest way
Sometimes I remember that the dub voice actors of Midnight and Dabi/Toya are married in real life.

Then I also remember that the voice actors of Iida and Sir Nighteye are married.

So are the voice actors from Bakugo and Tatami Nakagame (the blonde girl from Ketsubutsu with the quirk that lets her retract her body like a turtle). (no wonder Bakugo doesn't like Todoroki — his wife asked Todoroki for an autograph lmao)

Speaking of Todoroki: Todoroki's voice actor is in a relationship with the woman who voices ERI (!) and Sirius (the girl/woman Tsu met at her internship with Selkie). Btw, she used to be married to the voice actor of the fifth One for All wielder, Banjo — the one with Blackwhip)

Wow this week's episode makes a lot more sense of the message about anger now that I can see it through the lens of phrases like, "Get mad properly!" and "Don't let them take advantage of your scars!" and "Don't turn into people who just want revenge!"
While it does feel like there's something that goes unaddressed regarding discrimination--because this storyline does not give itself space to fully explore a lot related to that angle in particular--it does feel like the point leans more towards the idea that anger and vengeance are corrupting forces when left unchecked and uncontrolled. This is a lot more of a philosophical, maybe even religious angle on one's relationship with their own emotions and anger.
A line of thought like this would never hit in the west. We tend to value expressions of emotions when hurt no matter what form they take. "Better out than in." Anger in particular is also seen as one of the few emotions that can be expressed without controversy by those assigned male at birth. Not to mention righteous anger when one is wronged is highly valued and respected. The idea of "controlling one's anger" would read too much like the idea that only certain types of protest and outrage are acceptable in the public sphere, which is a line of thought often used to oppress those discriminated against.
And I'm not saying that isn't true in Japan as well. I just think the perspective on this message in the story isn't about social justice but about spiritual harmony. It's the notion of "how to use one's anger properly without succumbing to it," which is a more personal and spiritual topic. It sounds preachy in the west because it's not a message we hear often from our culture, but it's pervasive in Japanese culture. An audience there would automatically understand what the point of it is, but in the west, without a more thorough explanation of the philosophy, the angle sounds more like the familiar oppression of those discriminated against.
An interesting thought to research about Japan someday.
