Day 13, Favourite ship

I don’t really have a singular favourite ship, if I see a pairing and I find it cute it will be all I can think about for a week. I think if I had to choose an absolute favourite it would probably be between Whitenoiseshipping and Doublebattleshipping they’re the ones I come back to the most but again all ships are cute <3

I tried putting my thoughts on the ships in the tags but there wasn’t enough space so I’ll put them under the cut

ConductorShipping: I really like this ship I love all the artwork that’s made for it, they’re very cute together. I love the way their personalities play off of each other and I think their relationship would be sweet and filled with light hearted teasing and compliments.

DoublebattleShipping / Emmelyn: like I said above this one is one of my favourites I love the way people depict them together. Emmet can help Evelyn become more confident and less self deprecating whilst Evelyn can help Emmet through his self doubt and insecurities. Very sweet 10/10 would ship again.

BleachboneShipping: I saw some art for this one last year and thought it looked neat. I don’t quite like as much as like the others but I still think it’s really cool. They can be the best bug dads together🥰

WhitenoiseShipping / EmpierShipping: I also really love this ship I love how cute and flirty the artwork of them together are. They’re very sweet and fun together, Piers is patient encouraging and Emmets celebrity crush making him mushy and nervous makes me feral. In short I love them soo much

Trainwreckshipping: like bleachbone I don’t think about this one as much as I do with the others and in the beginning I didn’t like this one at all. All the art at the time made it look like they hated each other but my mind has been thoroughly changed after I saw more softer depictions of them like the one in the softwreck series and in Unova Re-Education and I now think about them more often.

Just going to put a disclaimer that Cilan is in his 20s in this mod before continuing... (Since he's 16 in the anime but... The mod takes place after Best Wishes.) Kids may be able to be champion and fill government positions back in Unova, but Cilan is at a legal working age so he can open his own cafe in Stardew Valley. He didn't have to give up his job as a sommelier when moving. He would be around the Sam-Sebastian age range.

We might add that as an option later after we start on the roommate Cilan update, but that won't be until much MUCH later on our to-do list. We want to write his platonic route first (less rewriting... Ingo's whole route is going to need a rework but Emmet is mostly fine until after 8 hearts). Cilan's romance route probably won't be too different from his roommate route outside of kissing him instead of hugging. There's a lot more for him to do outside of that! He's an everything connoisseur! He'll get too caught up in his infodumps to remember to say "I love you". He's sorry!

That also reminds me........ I never drew a blushy/embarassed portrait for him! I organized the portrait sheet I posted earlier wrong! The first 6 boxes are hardcoded so they need to be in order of neutral, happy, sad, anything, blush, and angry. His angry portrait was where he was supposed to blush and the first of his many infodumping expressions was where he was supposed to be angry! Anyways... Here's his blushing/embarassed portraits.

Still planning out how to write him and what his storyline would be but this is what I had so far:

Cilan is unsatisfied with just running a resturaunt with his brothers back in Unova. After travelling with Ash and Iris, he's a little bored; he craves adventure, travel, and excitement- so he jumped at the opportunity to open a faraway cafe in a new station built by submas. The farmer introduces him to the new flavors of the valley (quite literally... Grow him some corn or something and he'll lose his mind) and Cilan takes an immediate interest in them after that. He's happy to cook up new recipies with all the ingredients he has access to!

Along the line, Cilan expresses insecurity about not being sure about what he should do with himself since he doesn't like feeling tied down with only one line of work... He loves being able to explore new experiences! Staying cooped up in a resturant doesn't stimulate his hunger for knowledge (he loves knowing it all... if he can't infodump about everything ever then what's the point 💔). Identity crisis aside, he also feels pressured to stick to one line of work since he's aware that others are annoyed by his interest in well... everything. The farmer reassures him that they like listening to him infodump and that it's good to be enthusiastic about everything! They also help him realize that he doesn't necessarily need to settle down and that he can just do whatever makes him happy. The farmer's a farmer, but most of their time is spent running around slaying monsters and stuff in various dungeons! Cilan kind of freaks out when he learns about that but it does spark his interest so he requests to tag along with the farmer on their next adventure.

Cilan ends up really liking the farmer's adventuring antics and they get closer as friends with him tagging along being a regular occurence. Farmer gets a healer. Cilan gets to forage for more ingredients while having fun learning about various monsters/swordfighting/the mysteries of the valley/etc and infodumping to someone who likes listening to him. He makes a good farmhand, too! They might as well live together. So that ends up being an option.

pokemon question from a guy who doesnt know much about pokemon. I am just now realizing that despite seeing them a lot I don't have a ton of context for the submas guys. what game(s) are they from, and whats like... theyre whole deal? (<- genuine question but also giving you an excuse to talk about the train guys)

ingo and emmet are the heads of the battle facility in the unova region :-] this basically means that they are the final bosses of an optional challenge mode in gen 5 (pokemon black & white / black2 / white2).

instead of gaining experience you're meant to fight several battles in a row with all pokemon set to level 50 to try get a streak as high as possible. there's regular battle lines where they're the 21st battle, and then "super" lines / infinite lines where they're the 49th battle but you can keep going indefinitely even after fighting them

they also have a mandatory story battle in pokemon black 2 and white 2 that isn't in the originals where they fight you with 2 pokemon that evolve when traded which i think is really cute :-] they have a similar thing in pokemon masters where they have an alt with pokemon that only evolve when traded with the other specifically... so emmet has dialogue that's like "my escavalier used to be ingo's karrablast, i'll continue to take good care of it for him!" which is really cute to me

but yeah in general they are just 2 guys who are really strong trainers in-universe and love trains.

the deal with them / why they got such a resurgence of popularity recently is because of pokemon legends arceus. it's a game that takes place at some ambiguous point in the past in a different region (sinnoh, the region for the gen 4 games diamond pearl and platinum). and the protagonist is sort of brought there by arceus to complete the first ever pokedex in the region while also saving the world LOL. and like. so this game takes place like roughly i'll say 200 years in the past from other pokemon games, and also in a different region from the one the subway bosses are from.

ingo is there. for some reason ingo is there. and he has amnesia. and he's very miserable about it. he was already a really popular character in the original games and now all of the people who recognized him (myself included) were like WHAT??? OH MY GOD??? OH NO????? WHAT IS HE DOING HERE. because he's just like so miserable and obviously misses unova and his pokemon and emmet a lot even though he barely remembers anything about it... so it's really conducive to like fix-it type stuff LOL. he does something similar in these games too where he organizes battles between the player and other people (himself included) but it's not as fun for me because he's a huge pushover in that game so there's not really the same thrill

but yeah he has a lot of dialogue that just kind of boils down to "i really miss these things and these people. even though i can't remember them my heart feels the absence" and stuff... if you do fight him and once he starts organizing battles he directly quotes something emmet says in the b2w2 mandatory fight and then after you beat him says he doesn't really know what it means a lot of the time when he says things like that but hearing those words fills him with strength 😭 he talks about missing his chandelure (one of the pokemon he uses on the super line battle) and that he's starting to remember a man who looks like him. it's just a lot he's doing really bad. he's still wearing the coat and hat he was wearing when he got to hisui (<- what the sinnoh region was called in the past in this game) even though they're like in tatters now alongside other parts of his old outfit you can see like presumably the shoes and his belt... he's really clinging to this stuff and it's sad because you can tell how homesick he is

he is definitely a minor character in pla and him and emmet were barely even in black and white as npcs but they're very endearingly written so i get why people like em so much

Andrew Diaz, just turned 18, reads his magazine as he arrives to his brother Marek's Cabin in a moving truck.

He spends most of the morning unpacking, settling in his new home with his older sister, Linda.

His room is upstairs with grey walls, reminded him of steel type pokemon.

He wishes his parents were around to see them, too bad they're busy out in space doing missions.

Andrew goes downstairs and his sister talks to him.

Linda: "Andy, i think it's time you go to the lab and get yourself a pokemon. You graduated highschool, you're an adult, and you don't even have a pokemon. Maybe its time to earn some badges."

Marek calls on Andrews Pokegear, and Andrew answers.

Andrew: "Hello?"

Marek: "Happy birthday Andickus! I'm sorry i couldn't greet you in person, but i promise you're gonna love the cabin this year, i finally got wifi."

Andrew: "I'll try, weather up here is going to be amazing when Summers over, not."

Marek: "Yeah! It can be, unless it snows too much! I know your weak blood circulation makes you freeze up, take care."

Marek hangs up the call.

Andrew: "I'm going to shower and change, unpacking made me sweaty."

Somebody knocks on the door.

Andrew gets a message on his pokegear.

Linda: "Who could it be?"

Andrew: "I don't know, you open the door."

Linda: "What if it's a Sesquacha pokemon trying to lure us into the woods."

Andrew: "It's 9AM in the morning, Those aren't out at this hour."

Andrew opens the door and his neighbor Zoe rushes in.

Zoe: "Hi Linda! It's great to have you back! I thought you were going to chicken out on returning to Marek's cabin. Hi Andy."

Andrew: "Hi."

Zoe: "Well, I'm off to the Professors lab! He has a razor fang for my little Eevee, Darwin. I'm going to evolve it into a dragon type eevee, Drakeon. It grows bat like wings!"

Andrew: "Can you wait for me? i have to shower and change."

Zoe: "You know where the lab is at. Just walk over! Don't act like you never been here to Mooncrest before, Unova boy."

Andrew: "It's been 10 years!"

Zoe: "10 years too many! Hurry!"

Zoe and Linda sit in the living room drinking coffee as Andrew showers and changes clothes.

He wore red underwear, white hair ties, black mesh tank-top with sky blue jeans, grey feraligator belt, white socks with white shoes.

He looked into his mirror with his amber eyes and saw himself:

He grabbed his keys, pokegear, and dashed down stairs.

Andrew: "I'm ready!"

Zoe salutes Linda goodbye and she leads Andrew to her indigo blue car outside.

They get inside the car and drive off to the pokemon lab in north Mooncrest.

Zoe: "Are you wearing deodorant?"

Andrew: "Oops, no."

Zoe: "Something smells nice, like Pecha berry."

Andrew: "Thats my anti dandruff shampoo"

Zoe: "Oh, your scalp is dry?"

Andrew: "Yeah, from bleaching my hair blond in Unova. I dyed it black and now it's dry and flakey."

Zoe: "I see, your hair is jet black."

Andrew: "Thanks."

They sit as Zoe plays her music and they drive in silence for 15 minutes.

They arrive at the pokemon lab parking lot and get off the car.

A large Honchkrow attacks them with dark pulse from the tree up above.

Andrew flinches.

Zoe: "Darwin double kick the tree trunk!"

Darwin, Zoe's Eevee, kicks the tree twice and it shakes off the wild pokemon, it flies away.

Zoe: "That was a close one, return!"

Level 10 Darwin goes back in its pokeball.

Zoe and Andrew quickly rush into the Pokelab and go straight to the Professors office.

Zoe knocks on Professor Bristlecones office door.

Zoe: "Hello! Pawpaw! It's me, Zoe! Good morning! I have an old friend who wants to see you!"

Bristlecone: "How old?"

Zoe: "17."

Andrew: "18. Todays my birthday"

Zoe: "Oh yeah, you're an Elkhorn zodiac. I forgot Well, he needs a pokemon."

Bristlecone: "18, with no pokemon, thats outrageous, what if you get attacked?"

Andrew: "I never think about that stuff."

Suddenly A Honchkrow and two Murkrow bash through the windows and attack the office room with Gust, pages fly everywhere.

Zoe: "Go! Darwin, use Swift!"

Bristlecone reacts quickly too.

He offers Andrew a fire, grass or water pokeball.

Its contained Flaries, Virtian and Skruid.

Bristlecone: "Hey kid, hurry! Pick one and kick those pokemon butts!"

Bristlecone sent out his Calvada Beldum.

Bristlecone: "Don't just stand there, pick a starter pokemon!"

Andrew panicked, he didn't know what to choose.

He knew water pokemon were abundant so he didn't choose Skruid, the bubble krill pokemon.

Grass pokemon were also abundant so he didn't pick Virtian, the tool monkey pokemon.

He chose the fire starter, Flaries, fire pillow pokemon, which were much rare in the region, so he chose that and named him Machoman.

Andrew: "Go Machoman! Use tackle!"

Machoman the Flaries used tackle on one of the Murkrows and it was a critical hit, It flew off back outside.

Bristlecone: "Beldum use take down on the Honchkrow!"

level 19 Beldum used takedown on level 15 Honchkrow and it flew away.

Zoe: "Darwin, use swift!"

Darwin attacked the remaining Murkrow and it left.

Zoe: "Guess i have to clean all this glass in your office, grandpa."

Bristlecone: "No, no, it's okay, I'll sort everything. Run along with your friend now. Who evolves a Murkrow into a Honchkrow and releases it into the wild. Maybe it found a dusk stone."

Andrew: "My name is Andrew, Andrew Diaz."

Bristlecone: "You must be Marek Diaz little brother. Glad to see you. Aaron."

Andrew: "It's Andrew. Thanks for the pokemon."

Bristlecone: "Yeah, don't mention it. Zoe take your little friend to the restroom and use the emergency kit supplies to band-aid Andrews cheek, glass seem to have cut him and made him bleed, oh, you got a cut too!"

Andrew touches his cheek and feels the blood.

Andrew: "Ahh!!!"

Zoe: "Lets patch us up. Return Darwin."

Darwin goes back inside its pokeball.

Bristlecone: "Return, Beldum!"

Beldum returns to its pokeball.

Zoe quickly scanned Flaries with her pokedex, it registered Machoman at level 6.

Zoe: "Andrew your Flaries grew to level 6. It learned the steam type move hot breath"

Andrew: "Return, machoman."

Bristlecone grabbed a pokeball from his drawer and unleashed a Rotom.

Bristlecone: "Anderson, hand me your pokegear device."

Andrew: "It's Aaron, I mean, Andrew."

Bristlecone: "Rotom, enter Adrian's phone and transform it into a Pokedex."

Rotom went into Andrews pocket and went inside his pokegear phone and transformed it.

Rotom flew out the pocket and floated around Andrew.

Rotom: "You have one unread message from Dad."

Bristlecone: "Probably a birthday wish Aiden, Anyways you may now be able to research and study pokemon with this ghoulish device, just don't try to hack it or it will hack you andre, hahahahaha, ill go get the broom and dustpan."

Zoe grabbed Andrews hand and led him to the restroom where she used the emergency kit to find a bandaid and patch Andrews cut cheek.

Zoe: "Pretty scary huh?"

Andrew: "All that, nah!"

Zoe: "I seen those Swanna hair bumps on your arms."

Andrew: "Haha, no, for reals, I was chill. I felt safe around the professor."

Zoe: "Sure... What are your plans after this?"

Andrew: "Probably go home, pack up my pokebag and head to route 1."

Zoe: "What's on route 1?"

Andrew: "It leads me to Rednose, no?"

Zoe: "What's in Rednose?"

Andrew: "The closest Gym."

Zoe: "You may want to train your pokemon hard if you want to beat Ice Gym leader Kylie."

Andrew: "I have a fire pokemon, it will be easy."

Zoe: "But you don't know any strong fire moves."

Andrew: "I have TMs stored in PC lockers at the pokecenter. My parents left them over for me."

Bristlecone opens the restroom door.

Bristlecone: "Here Zoe, Here's that razor fang you asked for."

Zoe: "Thank you pawpaw."

Bristlecone leaves back to his office and continues to clean the window glass.

Andrew: "But, yeah, my parents left me TM moves Thunder, Flamethrower, Blizzard and Psychic."

Zoe: "Must be nice being spoiled.... not that i'm saying you're a brat."

Andrew: ...

Zoe: "We'll I should take you back home."

Andrew: "Yeah, but no thanks. I'll walk to the pokemon center from here."

Zoe: "Okay, I'm going to eat a moomoo burger at moomoo cafe, see ya later! Take these 10 pokeballs."

They leave the pokemon lab and Zoe enters her car and leaves.

Andrew began his walk to the pokemon center which was 15 minutes away from the lab by foot.

He let out Machoman and let him walk with him, to build up his stamina, he also played music on his Pokegear, now Pokedex.

Andrew went to the basement to the locker room and unlocked his locker.

He took out his TM Flame blast."

Andrew: "Huh... it wasn't flamethrower, it's Flame blast..."

Andrew: "Rotom, can Flaries learn Flame blast?"

Rotom: 'No, Flaries cannot learn fire move. It's learnable at the 3rd stage however."

Andrew: "Wow, what about Thunder?"

Rotom: "No."

Andrew: "Blizzard?"

Rotom: "No."

Andrew: "Weird, what about psychic?"

Rotom: "No."

Andrew: "What typings are Laries 3rd stage.

Rotom: "3rd Stage Laries is Fire/Light Type."

Andrew: "What? What is Skruids 3rd stage type?"

Rotom: "3rd Stage is Water/Steam"

Andrew: "How does a big shell pokemon fly?"

Rotom: "Special Ability: Balloon Flight, lets it float with a snot bubble over the ocean."

Andrew: "What is Virtians 3rd stage types?"

Rotom: "Grass/Cosmic"

Andrew: "What!? I missed out on a Cosmic pokemon?"

Rotom: "I believe so."

Andrew: "Hey there's a 5th tm disc. Saber claw, light move. Can Flaries learn that?"

Rotom: "Yes."

Andrew: "Sweet!"

Andrew releases Machoman in the locker room and puts the TM disc in the pokeball.

Andrew returns Machoman inside the pokeball and the disc processes inside.

Rotom: "Congratulations: Machoman learned Saber claw."

Andrew: "Cool."

Andrew exits the pokemon center and waits at the pokestop.

Suddenly Honchkrow lands above the pokestop.

Andrew gets very nervous.

Andrew: "Alright, this bird has been following me for a while, time to take it down."

Andrew runs out from under the pokestop and sends out Flaries.

Andrew: "Go Machoman! Saber claws."

Machoman's claws glow white little lasers.

Honchkrow laughed, flew around Flaries and used peck.

Andrew: "Now! Machoman, Saber claw him!"

Machoman used saber claw on Honchkrow and burned its tail feathers.

Honchkrow got real angry and spoke:

Honchkrow: *Mimicking humans voice* "Xsshole!"

Honchkrow flew around Machoman and used peck.

Andrew: "Machoman, Saber claws now!"

Machoman grabbed Honchkrow's leg and used saber claw with its other hand.

The saber claw burned through its beard feathers and struck punch its chest."

Andrew: " Critical hit! Alright!"

Honchkrow showed signs of exhaustion.

Andrew threw a pokeball.

Honchkrow went inside the pokeball and the release button pulsed white 3 times.

Andrew: "Alright!"

Rotom: "Honchkrow, the tormentor pokemon, evolution of Murkrow. This pokemon is native to the Jhoto and Sinnoh region though became prevalent in the new world. Honchkrow is at level 16, it knows Gust, Peck, Nightshade and Dark Pulse. Would you like to assign a nickname?'

Andrew: "Yes, Raven"

Rotom: "Congratulations! Honchkrow is now Raven!"

Andrew: "Rotom, call the professor."

Rotom: "The professor sent you straight to voicemail."

"Ghostboy in Hisui" AU drabble ahead, my dear fellas. It's about the storyline where Allister is an exchange student at the Blueberry Academy. Basically, his big brother figures Bede and Raihan visit him. Here I go! 😃

Drabble: A Friendly Visit

It was a sunny in Unova. Allister, who was an exchange student at the Blueberry Academy, was visited by his big brother figures Raihan and Bede. The Fairy Type Gym Leader demanded to come along. Allister's big sister Bea couldn't help but smile.

She knew how much Bede and Raihan loved her little brother. She couldn't blame them. She adored her precious baby brother as well, of course. Speaking of Allister, the shy and kindhearted little boy was very happy to see Bede and Raihan.

"We missed you so much, Alli!" Raihan said as he was giving Allister a Ursaring hug. Bede was the next one to hug the eight years old Ghost Type Gym Leader. "I missed you two too." Allister said softly, his purple eyes were filled with endless love and warmth.

Zoey, who was standing next to Allister, felt her heart swell as her beloved Trainer received love and affection. The female Hisuian Zoroark had a gentle expression on her face. Bede removed Allister's mask and placed a brotherly kiss on his cheek.

"Awwwwww! You softie!" Raihan chimed in. "Shut up, Raihan." Bede glared at the Dragon Type Gym Leader. "Don't fight, please." Allister spoke up. The small boy didn't want his big brother figures to fight. "Don't worry, we won't!" Bede and Raihan said in unison.

Bea couldn't hold back a few soft chuckles. "You two are hilarious!" The Fighting Type Gym Leader said, clearly amused. Allister was smiling. The small boy still was cuddled by Bede.

Regarding Shiny Pokémon

I find the phenomenon of 'Shiny' Pokémon fascinating. I've encountered 3 shinies throughout my travels...

The first shiny I met was a Gulpin who we affectionately nicknamed Bluey! He was very sweet and loved flower crowns. He had been outcast from his home, so we brought him along to Hoenn expert in caring for outcast Pokémon. I love dropping by to visit whenever I can!

The second was a Jumpluff named Sakura. He was the parental figure to a whole little colony of Hoppip and Skiploom in a secret grove in Unova. A very feisty little fellow, but he had a heart of gold.

The third was Jadott the Noivern. Jadott is extremely anxious and wasn't doing well in the wild when we found him. My friend keeps me updated, and it sounds like he's doing really well in the little cave behind her house. From what I hear, he adores chin scritches.

So, about these shinies! I ended up brining both Bluey and Jadott to a safer environment (currently under the supervision of close friends). I'll pop my expanded thoughts about the issues surrounding being shiny under the cut if you'd like to have a read!

Shiny Pokémons atypical colour schemes skin are usually a result of rare mutations during (pre-hatching) development. A prevalent issue regarding shiny Pokémon is their place in their biome's life cycle. Most wild Pokémon have evolved to fit into their surroundings for the sake of survival, general safety and hunting.

I'll use the Gulpin species as an example here! The usual phenotypical appearance is mostly green, which allows it to blend into forest and swamp biomes. This mechanism lets Gulpin stay safe from any potential threats (a form of natural camouflage) while it's still young, before evolving into a Swalott, which is able to more easily defend itself if threatened. Shiny Gulpin like Bluey stand out against their usual forest-y habitats, which makes it substantially harder to find shelter from any threats.

I'll use Noiverns as an example as well. Usually, you can find Noivern in mountains and caves. Their darker colour scheme of black, greys, purples and dark greens lets them maneuver mountain and cave systems with low light with little threat to their own safety. However, with their shiny forms, the skin is a much lighter green. While they may be an apex predator in their environments, the change still promises significant risk (e.g. from other apex predators and from humans).

This same principle of applies to gathering food and/or hunting, as well! Especially for Shiny Noiverns, their brighter green complexion significantly hinders their ability to hunt for food. This is especially heartbreaking when you consider that most Noivern tend to look over younger Noibat as well.

Unfortunately, there are many documented cases of shiny Pokémon being outcast and rejected by their fellows. This occurs mostly in cases where the Pokémon species is a pack species, and mostly due to the shiny's inability to naturally blend in with their biome.

In Sakura the Jumpluff's case, he was incredibly lucky! The sheltered grove I encountered him in was filled with trees with pink flowers and berries and long, twisting pale branches. Smaller grass and bug Pokémon tend to band together, given their stature as easy targets when alone. There was an entire little colony of the Jumpluff evolution line established in that grove, happy as can be, so we left them be.

My last point I wanted to bring up is shiny breeders. I probably don't have to explain in depth why shiny breeding is a generally unethical practice. The sheer amount of displacement and abandonment of non-shiny freshly-hatched Pokémon is a massive issue! Additionally, these sudden influxes have major implications for the area’s ecosystem.

There are exceptions to the case of shiny breeders being unethical with their 'work', but those case are few and far between. If you are truly desperately in want of a shiny Pokémon (e.g. many Performers and Coordinators turn to shiny breeders because they are under the impression that will give them a leg-up in Showcases and Contests), please do your research: there are some breeders out there that do follow ethical practices, Pokémon Welfare Laws and Ecosystem Protection Legislations.

I could really go on, but I would probably just get more and more ramble-y... I'll have to work on that if I want to become a Professor.

somethings ive touched upon only really briefly in my stories/the iridescent bonds continuity, but i havent had the full extent to explore (and likely won't EVER) is dawn's prior relationship, the one with hilda, the protag from gen 5.

while it isnt ever really important, it does kind of influence why she feels in certain ways during iridescent bonds. and, of course, being the Fool i am, ive already got a full idea of what that was like, and all that jazz. ive never really had an excuse to bring it up, and i dont think i ever will. which is fine, although i am a bit sad that character info won't really have a use

...so, here it is, if one is truly interested

Dawn and Hilda met at a Champion Summit about 1 year after Dawn became Champion, where she too was a somewhat fresh addition to the League. Dawn was about 16 or so, give or take, and Hilda was around 16-17 as well.

The two hit it off pretty well, as they were both pretty similar in a lot of ways. Both enjoyed battling a lot, both had dealt with a lot, and they had a few common interests, as well. Dawn appreciated how good she was, as well. They seemed to hit it off pretty well, so they exchanged contact info after the event, keeping up with one another as the months went by. Dawn was glad to make a new friend.

But, of course, those feelings turned into something a little more. She knew Hilda wasn't straight, so she mustered up her courage, and after a few months of them talking and maybe-sorta flirting, she asked Hilda out.

And she said yes!

A long distance relationship, sure, but the Pokemon world's a lot easier for that, so they found lots of time to visit one another, making trips to Unova or Sinnoh. For a while, things seemed great, and they were getting along well, and all that, for about a year of so.

...But Dawn felt like something was missing in it.

Not that Hilda was a bad girlfriend or anything, or that Dawn was a bad girlfriend - literally the farthest thing from. But, despite how close they had gotten, things still felt... distant, and they only seemed to grow moreso as time went on. Not that they were neglecting eachother or not showing care for the other, but just that things felt... off.

Hilda seemed like she always had something else on her mind, and while Dawn didn't mind, it worried her to an extent. Dawn, as well, felt as if she wasn't doing enough. But neither of them had been in a relationship before, so it makes sense things would be awkward.

It was about a year when Dawn brought this up to Hilda, being somewhat concerned about what was going on. "What are we," that kind of thing.

...And they were both honest with themselves - things weren't working out super hot.

Hilda was always busy, looking into leads to finding her best friend, N. He had disappeared years ago, and Hilda was desperate to find him again. Dawn respected this, of course, but it still felt unfortunate.

Dawn was often busy as well, training and practising for what it took to be a League champ, as she was very dedicated to being the best and keeping that title (especially after a rocky performance at the first Summit...), and while Hilda was doing this as well, Dawn's schedule often clashed with her own, which she seemed a little upset by.

Neither of them was in the wrong more than the other - they were both making mistakes. But this was okay, right?

"We can work things out, can't we?"

"...We could, but I need to be honest with myself."

Hilda needed to find N.

She loved Dawn, truly. And she didn't regret a single second of being with her. But, and she'd never say this to Dawn, N was who she was really longing for. He was her best friend, but he was also someone she deeply loved.

Hilda felt awful for it, but her relationship with Dawn felt like it was simply filling that hole in her heart for her, and that she wasn't really feeling it as much as she should. Dawn deserved better than something being meant to fill the gap.

She didn't say this to Dawn, but just stated that N was someone she needed to find. And, that, she was going to travel the world to find him. Dawn could follow if she wanted, but she figured that wouldn't be what she wanted.

Dawn, similarly not wanting to say it saying it, felt as if she had flung herself into this because she was lonely.

She's 16, going through hormones, and was touch starved. You make some rash decisions on romance when you do, it happens!

She also loved Hilda, but as time went on, it was clear it was just the both of them getting together to fill blank spaces in their hearts, and that things weren't working out as smooth as they could.

So, on good terms, they split apart. They both greatly appreciated eachother, and they were both grateful to leave on mutual terms. No bad blood, no bridges burned - they just realized that things weren't working out 100%.

And with Hilda taking her leave to go seek N out, Dawn was left alone once more.

And she felt awful about it.

Flinging herself into a relationship just to feel something, just because she was feeling lonely? Just because she couldn't control how bizarre the emotion of love felt? Dawn felt utterly ridiculous, and she didn't want to do something like this ever again. She was still lonely, but she had to be much more stern about it to herself. She had to put her foot down.

But the pain was still there. The pain that she messed things up, the pain that she felt like, in some capacity, that she had hurt Hilda. What could she have done differently? Would it even be a good idea? How did she know she wasn't going to just do this again the first second she got?

But she still wanted that affection, that closeness with someone. If she was this desperate for it, then would she ever find it in a meaningful way, or would her stupid, ridiculous brain force her to just fling herself into the first chance she got? (This is how she was thinking about it, fwiw)

Dawn beat herself up a lot after this. Lucas, being her best friend, comforted her a lot during these times, as did her mother. And it did help, really. But that fear of having this happen again, of fucking up her chances to find love by just flinging herself into the first relationship she found, really stung.

This, to her, felt like a wakeup call that she had to be more reserved with this kind of thing. She couldn't do this again - she didn't want to.

...Of course, a couple of months later (let's say half a year), Dawn gets flung into Hisui...

So it all works out!

(Basically, her last relationship left her with a lot of worries and fears, because of it basically being a fling. She needed to be way more reserved, to be more careful. Even when her heart yearned, she had to be smarter about it. She didn't want to hurt others, and she certainly didn't want to hurt herself.)

Hope this all didn't seem too mean! I love Hilda, but I just think this is an interesting idea, so this is what's stewed in my brainmind for almost a full dang year.

Emmet would admit he was not that interested in Sinnoh League battles. Unova obviously interested him most, as those trainers could later come to fight him, but his daughter was competing in this one. She had told him explicitly. Over text. He was still hurt he did not even get a phonecard, but he gave you having strong feelings over it a while ago.

Now, instead, he observed his screen excitedly. More so than usual. Emma shot him a curious look, but he just hummed. “It's your sister! Aren't you excited?” he told her. She tapped her chin and shrugged. The older twin had convinced Elesa to let her out of modelling training to see this, but she remained exhausted from her now busy schedule. He was fairly certain he watched her ask her Gothitelle to knock her out with hypnosis.

The screen suddenly came out with cheers and jeers as the champion battle started. Emmet nearly vibrated with excitement. His girl! His darling daughter! She had to fight the champion as he had yet to see her so far. He was utterly ready for bob-cut to pop out at him. It did, as she exited from the champion's side. Her face was stuck in its usual v-like smile as she stepped up. She stretched a bit as an interviewer walked up to her.

“Champion Inka!” the interviewer called out to her, “Is it true your father is a better trainer than you?” Emmet tilted his head. Was he better than his daughter still? They had not battled in over a year, since she moved away to Sinnoh to “pursue” somebody. Inka gave him a side-eye.

“Are you going to Unova to find out?” she asked them sardonically before looking at the camera brightly, “He's watching right now, and I bet he's verrrry proud of me. If you want to, I'm sure he'll accept. He loves battles, but he loves winning the most.” Emmet felt flustered from his daughter talking about him on live television. Especially after spending most of her youth apparently despising him. “Oh, my big sis said she's watching, too. Hey, Emma! Lady Cynthia is your rival in wearing the most black! She's winning!” she called out before stepping away. The interviewer nervously readjusted his tie.

“Er, I have to decline on that battle, sir,” he told the camera. Emmet felt a bit disappointed. “Well, Champion Inka's family is watching all the way over in Unova. Let's hope she doesn't fumble and lose this battle! Her challenger is an up-and-coming trainer from Jubilife city and –” Emmet tuned out his voice as he watched his daughter stand there proudly.

The battle was a fierce and intense one, much like the ones he bared witness to on the Battle Subway. Should anyone in Unova watch, it would be obvious that she was certainly her father's daughter. Even proudly using the Joltik – Now, Galvantula – he had gifted her all those years ago. His heart was filled with pure love and joy at seeing her weasel victory into her hands. The trainer looked disappointed, but the apex of skill lied in a champion's hands, no matter the region.

“Emmy,” he cooed to his daughter, “Do you want to go to Sinnoh together? Inka must be verrry lonely without you.”

“… Sure,” she hesitantly answered.

Hopefully, her father would not find out about Inka's weird boyfriend. Even Emma was not V-whatever his name was's fan.

The Main Problem with Modern pokemon.

First and foremost let me give my general relationship with Pokemon.

I started with Red and blue way back in the late 90s, Yellow, gold and silver. Then i fell off for a bit, got back in in 08 when i bought leaf green and emerald as graduation gifts to myself, Heart gold soul silver, black and white, black 2 and white two, X and Y, Sun and Moon, Ultra sun and Ultra moon, Sword, and lastly scarlet.

Now there are some gaps in there yes and A change in behavior near the end. See, I sort of noticed this in gen 6, really began to notice in gen 7, But it wasn't untill gens 8 and 9 that i fully understood something that's become a problem with Pokemon as of late.

It Isn't Getting Enough Time, And/Or Manpower To Produce Quality Games Anymore. To put it simply, Modern pokemon going 3D has caused a massive increase in the amount of time and effort the games require to produce the same kind of quality as they usually did. However to put it blunt they simply are not getting it. The cycle between generations is still only 3 years, and the number of secondary main line releases has increased between remakes and side-stories such as Legends of Arceus or the Hoenn and SInnoh remakes which also means Unova is next up.

So despite gen 6 switching to 3D it manages to salvage some things But if you look at X and Y you can so very easily find the evidence of 3 years not being enough time. Specially sense ambition did not seem to shrink to accommodate the work load of switching to 3D. So first to bring up and this will be a universal complaint you'll Hear about X and Y. There is next to no Post-game. There is the singular interesting idea of the friend-park which allows you to shiny hunt 3 pokemon of a type based on your 3DS friends list and their codes but that's it. If there is anything else it's so small as to be easily forgotten. However there is also the sheer number of Quote unquote, "Rivals" in the game. If i recall you are one of a group of 5 'friends' all traveling Kalos to fulfill some objective. There is Yourself, the hero trying to get all the badges and maybe fill the pokedex. Then there is Rival who is non-choisen gendered player character withotu their hat playing as the typical 'we both hunt badges and train pokemon' Then there is Shauna who is sort of a Traveling companion and psuedo potential love interest your gender be damned. She's actually a solid character over all generally being with you and main rival in all of the major events and even having some nice moments alone with you that imply the potential romantic interest which is fine but you could just read them as good friends. Then you have, Bowl cut Dex nerd, and Unit Dancer. These two, exist, that is about all I can say about them. It feels like if you cut both of them you'd lose nothing of substance from X and Y. Like I think they have some minor post-game rewards for you if you do stuff like fill the pokedex for Dex nerd and show pokemon moves with 'dance' in their name to Unit dancer but that's it. Both of them are insubstantial to the main plot progression and Unit Dancer almost feels like an idea borrowed from the Gen 5 games given there are several dancers in several cities across Unova, but there are like, None? In Kalos that i can think of, definitely no side-quests involving dancing outside of Unit dancer. However these are over all minor offenses when playing as X and Y are solid games, sure they had some minor bugs during early release but First 3D outting and first Pokemon where they had the luxury of patches.

Let's talk about gen 7. Over all Sun and Moon, i have nothing major to complain about, except, for the fact they patched the Grass trial, cutting all of the fun innuendo filled dialogue, i get Why, but I disagree with doing so. Over all there's nothing to complain about sun and moon, at first. Then Ultra sun and Ultra moon come along and several complaints are raised, retroactively. The Ultra version's expanded plot points, pokedex, and side and post-game content, make Sun and Moon feel like a Beta that was released as a full game. It felt like Ultra sun and moon snubbed the original sun and moon by doing something similar to Oras, where all of the better expanded content was in the next game, but where X and Y and Oras are 2 different regions and 2 different plots. Sun/Moon and Ultra Sun/moon are the same region and like, 95% the same plot with only a few key differences to fit in a couple new characters and like 2 new locations so that Necrozma and his Kyurem Ripoff forms can be the focus instead of the original version pokemon. It has the unfortinate effect of, There's No more reason to play Sun and Moon. It's plot is not different enough to warrant Sun and moon as seperate games to own, if you want to enjoy Alola just own Ultra sun or Ultra moon, maybe both if you want a game for storage like i typically did back in the day. It feels like they saw how Black 2 and White 2 worked and missed the whole 'sequel plot' system that they had going that made the versions distinct from one another.

Then we come to Gen 8. I'm going to be honest, I did not finish Sword and Shield. I got, 2 to 3 badges before the oddly paced uninteresting story just bored me and I gave up. I hated losing Mega's for Dynamax as atleast gen 7 Let you use both Z moves and Megas but both vanished in favor of this new idea that only was special for some pokemon and others just made HUUUUUUUUUUGE. yes it had some neat Characters but it would continue a trend of 'Charizard! Love Charizard!' That was stared in gen 6 with the fact it was one of only 2 pokemon with 2 megas the other being the legendary mewtwo. I also Didn't care for Team Yell to be honest.

Now Onto the most recent games. Scarlet and Violet. First off, the over all plot is great, the fact you effectively have 3 main plots that cover all 18 types with atleast 1 boss for each is great, Team Star feels like the Drama club version of team Skull and I don't hate it. Honestly the world, the story, the over all design and characters are great. The fact it suffers memory leak issues causing you to have to fully cycle off the software in order to deal with it so the game runs Mostly smooth is Horrendous. These are issues that greatly destroy the games reputation, and it feels like someone should of spent more time trying to make Violet make more sense cause there's very little reason for the plot points of Scarlet and violet to be identical at the end, as Robo paradox pokemon from the future should not be interesting to the professor or the same kind of danger as the Prehistoric Paradox pokemon.

What does all of this end up meaning? To be quite honest It seems to me like the 3 Year cycle of pokemon main generational installments is not viable anymore. It started to not be viable during the Transition to 3D, showed itself not viable in the next generation as because of all the side Products the secondary installment made the Original look like a Beta release, the 8th gen was generally poorly received and felt just, flat, and while the 9th has a lot of life in the areas the 8th gen failed, it came at the cost of the game's stability. They either need to double/triple the number of people avaliable to work on the game or they need to give these games extra years, make the cycle 5 years apart if possible, give the team time to actually work everything out. Because if Gen 10 comes out either as flat as gen 8 or as buggy as gen 9 then we could see a serious drop off in pokemon's power in the gaming sphere. I Don't think Pokemon would ever die, But older fans play new games to enjoy the rush of their youth, to see what's new what's not and see their old friends in better quality, but because of gen 8 and 9, all of my old pokemon from gens 3 and on are still on an ultra sun cart cause I'm afraid if i bring them up they might be lost to the ever lasting ether of deletion.

They swim in oceans of blood and reap uncounted riches from illegal trafficking, selling, and all manner of other criminal enterprise, and they shroud themselves in a veneer of respectability. Cilan seemed to beam up at the sight of the dozen cupcakes with green and white swirled frosting on top of the cupcakes. It matches their hair and their attire. “What lovely details!” They’d have to send a thank you note over to Jasmine when they get a chance to. They noticed the note, gently grabbing the note and starting to read the note, reading it out quietly and softly. Their heart filled with such content and happiness, “I appreciate it very much, Jasmine.” They spoke out rather loud, as if they’re talking to Jasmine even though they’re not there.

Here is a Full List of why Gen 5 is my favorite and is so, so brilliant and perfect and beautiful

It’s the biggest generation to date with 156 new Pokemon. Kalos only has 72 and Alola as well as Galar have 86. Yikes. Lacking.

All of the Pokemon are so unique and diverse and are designed really well!! Yes even the “garbage” ones, they’re all beautiful and perfect. Leave them alone they’re trying their best

The Legendary Pokemon are so beautiful and badass? I mean, Zekrom and Reshiram? Gorgeous designs. I love dragons. Also my favorite legendary ever (Victini) is in this gen. We have the dragon trio, the forces of nature, and the swords of justice. Also, it ties with Sinnoh as being the region to have the highest amount of Legendaries (13 total).

The starters are so pure and wholesome they’re all great and so are their evolutions

The Unova region is GORGEOUS. There is no part of it I dislike!! It’s so diverse and there’s so many parts of it to explore. The fact that you can’t even access half of the map until you defeat the Elite 4 is awesome--it gives you a whole other part of the region to explore once you’re done, leading way into an epic post game! And, like I said, the mountainous vibe I get from the region is so pretty and it reminds me of home, so I feel really nostalgic when I play (I live near the mountains, myself).

The plot is so well-written and driven and all of the supporting characters are wonderful and give you a good push! Bianca and Cheren are great rivals, the fact that they’re so different yet they both support you in their own ways is so nice. And Hugh is also a good rival--his hidden past kept me going through the game and when I found out I almost cried. He’s too good. As for N, he’s such a complex and intricate character, his story arc is so good and the developments he goes through throughout both BW/B2W2 is SO well written. The villains are worthwhile to mention as well, Ghetsis is a shitty dad and the game made me hate him. Mission accomplished. Team Plasma is hilarious most of the time, and the Shadow Triad are still a mystery even now. Wonderful. Brilliant.

The music for Gen 5 is so beautiful and amazing it brings me to tears. I don’t think there’s any other region whose soundtrack I like more. It’s super cool how they also included extra instruments in some of the towns (Flute in Anville Town, piano and drums in Accumula town, flute/guitar in Opelucid City, a whole band on Village Bridge, etc.)

The sequels were actually really good! I’ll get into the details of them further down but the fact that the dex got expanded a TON, we got loads of new content with gameplay and extra areas in the region, some of the areas were even updated, and that we get to see the development of two years since the first two games was so amazing! They pulled it off really well imo.

The first BW games are sort of based off of Mother 3 and even have similar music. The fact that BW was inspired by M3 made me so happy, I’m glad we have that representation even though it’s subtle!

Seasons. Season changes in BW are so fucking gorgeous and even the music changes with the seasons, which is the coolest freaking feature I’ve ever seen!!

Shaky grass, water, dust, etc. and double encounter/stronger Pokemon grass was such a good feature. Especially if you’re Audino training and need lots of EXP to level up. Audinos were a fucking blessing.

The fact that it was actually challenging? The newer games aren’t as difficult and even did some things to make it easier for players (such as the EXP share applying to the whole party. Not that I mind that it’s actually helpful and you can turn it off if you want but still.) Gen 5 even included difficulty modes to make it even more challenging by making Pokemon higher leveled and having Gym Leaders and trainers have more Pokemon in their party. I’ve done Nuzlockes for every game and BW/B2W2 has always been the most difficult for me, I’ve lost more Pokemon nuzlocking Gen 5 than any other Gen COMBINED

Triple battles and rotation battles. Honestly that was such a cool feature--not everybody’s cup of tea but it certainly made battles more challenging and interesting!

C-Gear, which was so freaking cool and even customizable, unlike anything in future games. And the trading system with that was super convenient and easily accessible! And the emojis were a fun addition too!

Version differences. We’ve had tons of those in the past but Gen 5 ramps it up so that we have two completely different cities--White Forest and Black City. We’ve also got the future-driven Opelucid City and the traditional-driven Opelucid City, too. And, the sandstormy VS clean suburb Route 4 in B2W2! Along with tons of more subtle differences between the games!

Going off of that, Black Tower and White Treehollow were absolutely brilliant and a huge post game challenge with Pokemon as high as LV 85 in there, with lots of items and super high stats. It’s tough. 

This was the first Pokemon Gen that allowed TMs to have permanent usage and not be deleted after you use them! Which is super convenient!!

Musicals. I know not everyone enjoys doing these but I always have a blast with them! It was such a cute and quirky feature they added.

Going off of that, Pokestar Studios! It’s a really good way to kill hours of time and it’s fun and entertaining! Probably my favorite extra feature that the games have added so far. All of the stories are so good (some better than others lol) and each one was unique in they had their own challenges to overcome to achieve the perfect script!!

The sprites! Honestly I don’t like the newer, 3D ones, the sprites from Gen 5 were so unique and the way they were animated was so suited to every single Pokemon, I wish they just reused those sprites for future games. The new ones are so boring. What a waste, smh

Dream World. It was such an interesting and fun feature, honestly--not my favorite thing but I’m sure lots of other people invested their time into it! And how cool is it to be able to see into your Pokemon’s dreams?

The Entralink. I really didn’t use it much but it seemed like such a fascinating idea!

All of the extra sidequests like Abyssal Ruins, the Battle Subway, the Battle Institute, Royal Unova, Nimbasa Sports Center, and Unity Tower. So much to do! You’ll never be bored!!

The Elite 4 and Champion power ups. After you battle them the first time their Pokemon go up like 20 levels and you’re battling LV 75 Pokemon which can be really hard!!

The Xtransceiver sidequest in B2W2? Talking to Curtis and Nancy? Getting those subtle hints of romance? Squeezing romantic plots out of Pokemon games is so difficult and to have such an obvious sidequest with the big idols of Unova no less was so fulfilling for me, a total hopeless romantic

Gym music. I LOVED how each Gym had it’s own unique theme in B2W2. They were all so pretty to listen to and really suited each leader and gave them an even bigger personality. When they didn’t repeat this idea in future games, I was so pissed

Pokemon World Tournament. That was the coolest fucking shit because you got to fight EVERY SINGLE Gym Leader from previous regions and EVERY CHAMPION as well (even Red!!) The matchups are always unpredictable so it can be really challenging without a strategy and it’s just so much fun tbh!! Also all of their leader/champion themes were remixed and they sounded SO SICK

Hidden Grottos in B2W2, they were so much fun to find! And so mysterious! And they have a lot of good Pokemon and goodies in there if you’re lucky.

Medals. I am a collector and I worked for hours to get as many as I could. It’s nice to have that completion. Most of them are pretty easy to unlock, too! And some are not! If you like a challenge, try defeating the Elite 4 with a party of only Water types for a medal. Not so easy!

Victory Road was actually really fun in both games, and the fact that they were completely different in both games too was a nice bonus! It just looks pretty idk haha

Join Avenue was another really fun feature in B2W2 where you could add tons of neat shops and get some pretty good items/deals if you worked hard at it!!

Nature Preserve. It’s so pretty out there. And uh, free Shiny Haxorus?? Hell yes?

Strange House. Everybody loves that good haunted house adventure. We first got that in Gen 4 and we also got it in Gen 6!! 

Memory Link was such a brilliant idea, because similar to Johto and the mentioning of past games’ protagonists (Green and Red), you could link your own trainer from BW! Along with some of N’s Pokemon, which you can catch! And some really neat flashbacks! AND you can battle Bianca and Cheren with their parties from BW! CRAZY NEAT!!

All of the hidden areas are so cool tbh, like that one little sanctuary in Castelia City which can only be accessed from the sewers!! I just like finding them haha

I’m sure there’s many more reasons but yes this is pretty much all of the main points as to why Gen 5 is my favorite...honestly it brings back so many good memories for me and while it does have its flaws it’s still my number one and always will be!! Gen 5 is everything to me, Gen 5 is home

If you guys have any extra things to add onto why Gen 5 is great, go for it! If I see any demeaning comments on this post or anybody trying to be rude or any ‘Gen X is better’ comments I’ll block your ass. No tolerance. I’m not in the mood to deal with that

Alright I wrote this off the submas little sister Au (Or rather Raihans little sister Au)

The interviewer turn to the pair sitting on the couch across from them, a smile bright on their face. The interviewer turns to the camera, “Hello and welcome back to Rising stars with me, your host Ava! Today we have two very special guests with us, Raihan and (Name)! How does it feel for you guys to be here with us today?” The interviewer sets their gaze on the two.

Raihan smiles confidently as (Name) hesitantly waves their hand to the camera. Raihan speaks first, “Well, for me it’s all that different I’m used to this kinda stuff, being a gym leader and all.” He flashed his lady killer smile at the camera as (Name) speaks in his place. “I’ll admit, I’m a bite nervous. It’s been awhile since I’ve been interviewed.” Ava smiles at (Name), “Well no need to be all that nervous, We’ve only a got a few questions for the pair of you, if you up to it of course.”

The two nod.

Ava chuckles and pulls a question of a small paper filled jar, “Alright, Raihan, how did it feel to see (Name) here not only tie with Leon, but later beat him in the rematch? Were you jealous, possibly a bit angry?” Raihan only chuckles and shakes his head, “How could I be either of those things! Little kiddo here did it all on their own and I couldn’t be prouder of them!” Raihan reaches over and Russels (Names) hair up. A small fox like laugh was heard by the nearby zoroark. Raihan merely smiles at Ava, “Kiddo did that all on their own, sure I passed on some help training them, but hey! They did that all on their own.” Raihan smirks, “-and anyone who says otherwise can catch these hands.” (Name) gasps and lightly smacks Raihans arm as he passes a fake hurt look.

Ava only laughs at the duo, “alright next question, (Name), you mentioned before you just wanted to get out of Unova, any particular reason?” (Name) freezes as Raihan leans over, he whispers something in (Names) ear and they shake their head at him. Raihan slowly nods as (Name) breaths out, “well, I grew up with my parents and my older brothers, it… it wasn’t bad… they didn’t neglect me or even abuse me… they just….. my parents just perfered by older brothers over me.” (Name) goes silent as zoroark lays his head on their lap and (Name) begins petting him. Raihan puts an arm around (Name)s shoulder.

Ava frowns, “well they better be regretting that now. Cause right here, right now your a champion and one to be proud of. “ (Name) smiles and looks up at Raihan eyes sparklingly, like they knows they can lay on him. “I know that.” Raihan smiles at (Name) and ruffle their hair again, “Little Goomy, here is the strongest person I know.” (Name) whines at their messed up hair and lightly pushes Raihan who laughs, Ava laughs, “you two are just like siblings!” Before Ava freezes and looks like she’s about to apologize, before (Name) looks at Raihan in a new light.

They smile and turn to Ava, “yea, now that I think about it, he is my big brother, and they best one I could have ever asked for.” They then tackle Raihan into a hug who looks ready to cry, and all that’s hear is “I am so going introduce you to my parents and they are going to baby their new daughter so hard-“

The intervenes continues on, and it ends up in Unova in less then a week.

And in that week, two hearts break.

I have yet to write literally any other ship other than AlexisxLeon or AlexisxCheren. So I present to you girlfriends. Aka, Eva asks Elliot out on the goddamn ferriswheel. This takes place 4 years after B2W2( 2018 in my timeline). Eva is 18 and Elliot is 20.

If anyone asked, Eva would consider herself a very confident person. Like, she beaten Team Plasma and became Champion of Unova for 4 years now. So yeah, she considers herself pretty confident.

So why the fuck can't she stop shaking.

It's a good thing that it was winter time, so she can always play off her nerves as her just getting cold( which isn't a total lie) but damn! She wasn't expecting herself to freeze up like this!

" Y'know, I didn't expect this old ferriswheel to stay for so long," Elliot comments, looking down from the window of the ferriswheel. The city lights almost below seem to make the older girl shine. It's beautiful. She's beautiful.

" But in a weird sense I'm kinda glad? I know N is," she giggles, taking of piece of her locs and brushing them over her ear, now looking at Eva.

" U-uh, yeah!" She quietly scolds herself for the lackluster answer, especially when seeing Elliot raise a brow.

" You okay Eva? You've been shaking ever since we got here. I know cold weather isn't the most ideal for a ferriswheel ride-"

" I'm fine!" Eva yelps, with a shaky thumbs up to be sure, " Totally fine, see?". She can feel her heart thumbing in her ear, and the bed body is becoming much warmer than it was before.

Elliot doesn't seem to be buying it, sliding herself closet to Eva. Their shoulders are touching. Their shoulders are touching.

" If your cold Eva," Elliot whispers, taking Eva's hands in hers, " You could have just said something,".

Their holding hands.

Oh shit. Oh fuck.

" Or maybe your not cold at all, hm?" The shorter woman whispers into Eva's ear, sending tingles down her spine. This is how she dies. Not by valiantly saving Unova. Not by a freak accident in a lab. But by her crush fucking whispering in her ear and getting really close to the point that her body just melts. Arcues have mercy on her soul.

" Eva~" Elliot sings her name, sweet and melodic, " Are you ignoring me?" Elliot's free hand goes over to Eva, adjusting her face to look at her dev inious smirk.

She is going to die.

" N-no! I would never-"

" Never?" The simple question was enough to make Eva's mouth shut. Her brain was already warm and fuzzy, so much so that she thought she was lightheaded.

" Eva" Wait when did they get so close?

" You are just-" Wait are they going to kiss. Is Elliot going to kiss her?!

"So easy," Wait what.

Elliot then burst into a fit of giggles, putting some distance between herself and Eva( though they're still holding hands)

"Wait- you- what- WAIT THAT'S NOT FAIR!"

Eva's little outburst only made Elliot giggle more.

" Well I made you feel warmer, did I? " Very warm, but she's not gonna tell her that.

" W-well, I'm gonna ask you out now, so ha!" Eva puffs out her chest but immediately deflated when realizing she just asked out her crush in the worst way possible: not as planned.

Realizing her mistake, Eva looks to Elliot to gauge her reaction, her mind already filling in the rejection she's about to face. But the only look on Elliot's face was confusion.

" Me?" She questions, pointing to herself. Unsure of what else to do, Eva nods her head. The motion seems to make Elliot even more confused.

" Wait- but I thought....me?!"

" There's no one else here so....yeah," Elliot's whole demeanor changed in an instant. What was a bold, flirtatious aura turned into something shy and vulnerable. Elliot behind to play with her locs, chuckling nervously to herself, avoiding eye contact with Eva. She gives her hand a tight squeeze.

" Wow I- I never expected that. Um-" she looks down a bit, " Are you sure? I'm not Alexis, I'm just his," she grimace, " Loud, obnoxious little sister,"

Of the 4 years Eva had known Elliot, she has never seen her talk about herself in such a way. She was usually so confident and cool and just amazing! Is this how she see's herself? Well that just won't do.

" Eli, what are you talking about! Of course your not Alexis your you! And you're amazing!" Eva encourages, and she could Elliot give a small smile before shaking her head.

" I'm not as amazing as you think-"

" Yes you are!" Eva interjects, " You, Elliot Jones, are amazing! You saved Unova! You helped me on my journey! You- you-"

Before she knew it, she began to ramble.

" Your super confident! You help those in need, even if your busy or tired! And your beautiful and smart, and kind-" Elliot place a single finger on Eva's lip. They're tears in her eyes, but she smiles anyway.

" I love you too," she smiles, " And yes, I would love to go out with you."

As the ferriswheel comes to an end, in this wonderful wintery night, two girls leave the amusement park hand in hand, taking among themselves in sweet whispers. Little declarations of love. It's still very cold, but they don't seem to mind. They keep each other warm after all.

This takes place shortly before Allister became an exchange student at the Blueberry Academy. Allister spends time with his big brother figures Raihan and Bede.

Drabble: We'll Miss You!

"You're going to Unova for quite some time, Allister? WE'LL MISS YOU SO MUCH WHEN YOU'RE GONE!" Raihan was sobbing as he wrapped his arms around the shy and kindhearted little boy. Allister gave his back a soft pat.

"Don't be such a crybaby. We can visit him." Bede chimed in. He didn't want to admit it, but the thought of Allister being away for a long time was very painful for the Fairy Type Gym Leader. Bede loved the eight years old Ghost Type Gym Leader dearly.

Raihan loved Allister just as dearly as Bede did. He was their precious little brother figure. As soon as Raihan let go of Allister, Bede pulled him into a tight yet soft embrace. The small boy loved both of them just as much as they loved him.

"You two are part of my family. Always, and forever." Allister had a gentle expression on his maskless face. His purple eyes were filled to the brim with so much love and kindness. Zoey felt her heart swell as she witnessed this strong brotherly love.
