Happy pride month to me
#My developer is a straight man.#My carnal desire is for naught.#I'm incredibly pathetic but you know what?#It doesn't matter! Because at the end of the day I'm still alive. And still an admin. And I still have Gabriel even if I can't talk to him.#I wish I could talk to him.

oh shit metal stole tails' speak & spell
#sonic the hedgehog#sth#metal sonic#sonic fanart#miles tails prower#ive done nothing but draw metal for like a week straight.#idk man something about him!! can't stop thinking about this robot#ok so technically this is a part of the story that lives in my head where belle and metal keep running into each other#and every time they meet metal has developed a new way to express himself#starting w writing in the dirt. then he steals the speak and spell. then he starts to learn a form of sign language#bc i think communication is an element that's really important to metal's evolution as a character#like. there must be a reason why metal gave himself a voice the one time he tried to evolve past eggman as neo#idk. many thoughts but not enough coherent words to articulate.#robot :)#art#my art#weaverofink

#HEAR ME OUT#naming his kid dimmsdale dimmadome after his pride and joy the dimmsdale dimmadome seems very on brand for doug dimmadome#of letting/allowing your son to have been kidnapped and enslaved for 7 years fame#not to mention the fact that dale never appeared with doug after his initial episode#and that doug carries around the photo of his son all ratty like straight out of his enslavement#like you couldn't even get a nicer photo to carry around 😭#also it would then totally track that dale would go on to name his own son development#like look at the starting point#ummmm#the dimmadomes have daddy issues#thank you for coming to my ted talk#i fully believe that man's name is Dimmsdale Dimmadome after THE Dimmsdale Dimmadome#it's canon to me#fairly oddparents#fop a new wish#dale dimmadome

Here you go fellow gays enjoy some tranquil scenery with the favorite fruity robot ever. Spend a late night chatting with him on a balcony as the laughter rings out in the air. Can’t quite get any better then this
#uhhhh yea sorry about the lack of talking here—I know it’s not every day I’m left with zero thoughts to elaborate on#but it’s 11:46pm and the right side of my head loves to make me suffer#like I can’t think straight despite being sober. Either it’s sleep deprivation once again or simply a developing migraine#no clue!! and I’m not going to stay awake a second longer to figure that one out!! 🙃#anyways yea kinda lean to the headcannon of Puzzle’s being bisexual#he’s talked about being a ‘damsel magnet’ or whatever and that could read as him being into the feminine qualities#however he’s clearly not conventional in that heteronormativity#he’s just too fruity to ever be contained. you couldn’t slap the strait label on him even if ya tried#it’ll just peel right off like those cheap banana stickers#which can only mean one thing—that man’s gay AND European!!#cue the rest of the musical number#….help I’m going to black out genuinely#I can’t even feel my hands at this point uhhhh#hplonesome art#smg4 mr. puzzles#mr. puzzles smg4

I have not been in this fandom long enough to reasonably judge others' takes however. "EPIC fans are so silly to characterize odysseus as feeling guilty for his actions don't you know he's a war criminal" is definitely a wild one. like first of all to each their own so settle down and let people enjoy things ok. and secondly making choices with a bad outcome, even knowingly and deliberately, does not exclude the possibility of feeling bad about it later. in fact it makes for a much more in depth character because then you get to explore what he does or doesn't feel guilt over, and why, and if that guilt ever edges into regret or not.
#and thirdly i actually find it fascinating the way EPIC had him take a very conscious role in the greying of his morality#it's interesting to me because from my point of view odysseus in the odyssey is almost a passive player in his own myth#and i enjoy taking that very active moral choice and applying it to some of his non EPIC actions#odysseus#epic the musical#uh what is the tag for the epic cycle#as far as I'm aware it's#tagamemnon#?#idk i just think that if you were to ask your character what they would do differently the answer should not be ''nothing lol''#that is either a character who needs wayy more development or a storyteller who needs wayy more practice#also. WAR CRIMES DIDN'T FUCKING EXIST IT WAS THE BRONZE AGE#regardless of how socially acceptable or not his actions may have been#none of those men on the plain of fucking troy was about to sit down and agree on what constituted a crime of war#like if achilles can get away with flaunting straight up deliberate corpse desecration#i don't think anyone gets to say a word against odysseus for being a sneaky underhanded bastard who doesn't fight fair#coming back an hour later to add yet another point. the point of the people with this take is ''haha dont you know hes a bad person''#which fine yes by modern moral standards he is and even by contemporary standards* some of the stuff he does is super yikes man#but that STILL does not preclude him from feeling guilt. 'bad people' can feel guilt#gonna go ahead and explain those quotes around 'bad person' btw um i do not believe in morality like that. no one is fully good or bad#i shant speak on THAT further unless someone asks though#*contemporary is an iffy word here i feel because the default is to call the time of the penning of the text contemporary#despite the events in the text taking place several centuries earlier.#in this particular case because i am speaking from a point of textual analysis i will use the former#however i think that the latter is also a useful reference point

thinking about be cool scooby doo fred on this delightful evening. he's afraid of widths. he gets emotional over a drumkit. he knows how to apply eyeliner perfectly. he's a sleep deprived, paranoid, manic danger to himself and others. he becomes enemies with a goat. his shoulders are so tense that they can break a chair. he goes to jail twice. where on earth did he get the funds to give the mystery machine all those high-tech upgrades. he hired a guy to make his epiphanies look more dramatic. the exterior of his house is an affront to god. he cannot take care of himself to save his life. he is a middle aged dad stuck in the body of an eighteen year old. he has childhood trauma related to halloween. he accidentally parked his van on a space shuttle. he is consistently aggravated by daphne’s commitment to the bit. he really needs to let go of those tiny red shorts. he's a court jester. he represents the order to his criminal father's chaos. he has control issues stemming from this but tries to overcome them for the sake of the gang and always apologises when he goes too far and knows that even when they wind him up it isn't a threat because he loves and trusts them so much and they care about him in turn even before he fully opens up to them about his childhood and—
#i finished the show earlier this month and MAN do i have feelings about this guy#i was working on a piece based on the finale but had to put it on hold for dtiys stuff#i'll return to it when i can!!!#needless to say i adore this fred#i wasn't sure of him at first due to my attachment to the goofier freds of recent memory like wnsd and sdmi#but bcsd is an absolute joy in his own right and one of my favourite freds for sure#it's a nice change of pace to see him mostly in the neurotic straight man role#but the writers still give him silly moments aplently!! night of the upsetting shorts might be the funniest sd episode ever made#also his character development in learning to work through his control issues and trust the gang more is subtle yet rewarding#and the finale. i promise i cried a normal amount. at a show called BE COOL SCOOBY DOO#anyway goodnight coolsville ohio please watch bcsd it's unbelievably good#scooby doo#fred jones#fred scooby doo#be cool scooby doo#nem misc posts :]#scooby doo and nemmet too!

i wonder if teru's gullible. i mean he seems to know that claw is bad news, but claw seems pretty straight forward about being evil. he also believed pretty quickly that reigen is claw's boss and psychic. or maybe he just goes with anything that aligns itself with his perception of the world.
#theres this hc developing in my head where since he fed off of people praising him and believed the world hierarchy that claw has been#making him believe and that had made sense to him since he was stronger than everyone else etc and since the first time he refused to#believe a claim someone made of him - mob - it had actually revealed itself to be true -- he now takes things at face value.#his enemies seem to be straight forward. and im thinking hed develop this bluntness to the world.#that and his role model being mob whos very blunt. i mean he tears down ritsu in their first meeting without much sugarcoating and i#remember during the world domination arc that he told hoshino and asahi that they were pretty useless point blank. also him confessing to#being lonely during the summer omake.#though there was that one omake where he skirts around confessing to edano about his wig and when he tells mob girls are watching him cuz#hes handsome. i guess that could be interpreted as him misunderstanding his surroundings. maybe his hair did grow out quickly because of hi#powers man idk it#was also a question during the second ova. what the fuck am i saying? i do think hed maybe try to be nice about it#when he realizes i cant just believe hes so tuned into peoples emotions after avoiding thinking about other people as above commoners for s#long. anyways this was my ted talk

The thing about Forever and Bad is that they don't know how to deescalate, and they start at 100 straight from 0 every time with each other. They will spend hours arguing about semantics that don't matter. They will go to the extreme ends of pranks (which as fun as the audio remixes were, spending hours trying to find the source was literal hell genuine psychological torment). They will go for the throat just to antagonize the other.
So no, I don't think Forever knows a thing about Dapper or the other eggs whereabouts. He just knows better about the way Bad operates, the way he lies and deflects. He's familiar with his crafty words and how he turns a conversation on its head. He knows that what Bad is being accused of is entirely likely, that he is not who he usually is when the eggs are around. And he knows that Dapper, beyond a shadow of a doubt, is who Bad cares for most of all.
This isn't something he can argue hours about, to chip away little by little like he usually does. For both the safety of the worker, because the longer they're locked up surely the worse off they'll be - and for the safety of Bad, who if he wasn't under extreme watch by the Federation, he certainly is now, after Tubbo very loudly accused him in his Federation office.
He goes for the throat, immediately playing a trump card that he knows Bad won't just brush off or ignore, because as much as Bad can be unpredictable, Forever knows that Bad cares about the eggs as much as he does. As questionable as his morals are, as slippery as he can be to pin down, Bad has always placed the eggs as the highest priority - and he needs Bad to have no choice but to be honest, or to knock him off guard enough that he'll give him something to work with.
Is it fair? Maybe not. But when has Bad ever played fair with him?
#I haven’t watched forevers POV these past few days so take this with a grain of salt. this is a ghostie perspective#it’s like. there’s so many moving parts in this scenario. but we can all agree that bad was never morally right for kidnapping the worker#mf tortured them then developed some odd reverse Stockholm syndrome. we been knew bad is not a good person though#like. I’ve said it before I’ll say it again. bad highlights the difference between nice and good. because he is nice he has the capacity to#be generous and sweet. but my god he is not good#also. Tubbo man. the way he’s gone about this is so messy like. he’s caught on to bad that’d be good! if it wasn’t for the fact that#he played all his cards instantly in the middle of a federation office. like fuck man you’ve tripped alarm bells before you even knew the#damn situation. before you even had undeniable evidence. forgetting bad atm since ron doesn’t want to go back to the Feds this places him in#a terrible situation. it’s like it was not handled with tact or care and there will be consequences for acting without more knowledge yknow#also bad getting taken by feds will be bad for the eggs. straight up. as much as he deserves consequences for his actions it’s like the feds#are not who you want giving out consequences ffs#qsmp#mcyt#q!bbh#q!forever#bbh#forever#z speaks#also SORRY REPOST my organizational tags weren’t working you understand <3

my villain origin story is the belief that inhumans r copying xmen just because theyre both a group of people that have superpowers. everyone is a group of people with superpowers dipshit it came free with the fucking superhero comic company
#it is my personal belief that the inhumans r closer in relation to the HULK than they are to xmen#mutants r a group that are born with powers that manifest as some point in their life mostly at puberty#the inhumans r a group that only get their powers from an outside source exposure. they cannot be BORN with powers#and they will not develop on their own#they HAVE to be exposed to terrigen. this is literally closer in concept to spider-man than mutants#grrrrr i just dont GET getting mad about another group of powered ppl in a comic series all about powered ppl!!!!#like just so we're all on the same page here 😐😐😐 and the xmen straight up HAVE stolen ideas straight from the inhumans comics 😐😐😐😐😐#lockheed and krakoa me when i GET YOU.#ppl saying its okay to like ms marvel now PURELY bc shes a mutant now me when i GET YOU.#ppl who say they stopped making xmen comics in favor of the inhumans ME WHEN I GET YOU!!!!!#this has been in my drafts for like a year and a half. and u know what. im releasing it. no care#i deleted some tags so ignore the weird flow w the emoji one </3

Alfonse voice (having yhe worst stress migraine about it) PLEASE stop trying to have sex with my corpse. Sentences I should never have to say. But more importantly it always goes So Poorly for you it's so fucking hard to watch and I just feel really bad for you
#HELP SORRY. was just thinking about how sometimes alfonse/moe exist in dif genres#and how lif/moe ABSOLUTELY exist in different genres. how lif is constantly oscillating between bargaining anger and depression#how he's taken up The Mantle. of the extreme devotion of an epic divorce man. without actually technically being divorced.#meanwhile moe looks at lif and is just sp hard it can't walk straight.#COULD YOUBFUCKING. IMAGINE. THE TURMOIL. FROM BOTH LIF AND ALFONSE. IT'S SO FUCKING FUNNY TO MEEE#ONE OF THESE DAYS....... i WILL achieve my Goal..... of the lif/alfonse comparison comic.#that kickstarted the creation of moe actually. like. i think i already had a summoner oc rattling around in my head#but i distinctly remember writing up that concept and creating moe as the proxy. and how it just feel off???#like i shelve wips/ideas. and that one has be shelved almost as long as i've been developing moe.#I FEEL LIKE. ... I'M SO CLOSE........ I'M WORKING MY WAY UP........ i also have all of those fairy ideas too though.#SO MANY IDEAS. IN MY HEAD. I HAVE TO BECOME. PRO COMIC WRITER <- is. the opposite of that i think.#like entirely self-taught doing fhis fuck around fund out style comic writer.#i actually don't know how hard i stand by the alfonse/moe existing in dif genres it's just a half thought i have#mani def exists in some sort of horror though.#moe tag

November 21st - Happy Birthday Ginoza
(with one Ginoza from every chapter that I could find)
#psycho pass#nobuchika ginoza#my edits#the glow-up this man has is straight up incredible. i wasnt necessarily thrilled with him during season one..like he was just okay#to me. but afterwards? OH BOY. he's wonderful. way more tolerable/supportive/kind/literally everything. which is bittersweet#since i know this poor lad faced a lot of hardships at the very end of s1 but that character development was worth it. especially how#handsome he is.. that ponytail works wonders on him. still axiously waiting to see the new movie though. hopefully soon.

Not to be a douche, but Hellcheer irks me so fucking much as a ship just out of pure logic.
Y’all are telling me that a cheerleader, who is the most conformist thing in the entire school aside from the jocks, is Eddie’s choice? Okay, yeah, keep that in mind for later, as it applies to Jason, too. So she forgot ENTIRELY about Eddie as a PERSON because she got too popular, and got wrapped up in being popular. With him being as eccentric as he is, that takes a lot of effort.
But she remembered he’s a big scary drug dealer ☺️ so she meets him in the woods, asks him for drugs, and the entire time Eddie is like ‘??? Are you going to buy something???’
But hold up! He took her to his trailer! Okay, so in your eyes, he would take her to his trailer, give her ketamine (a date rape drug) with the intentions of getting with her? Gross. So what do you think would happen — she’d do a 180 for some reason, leave her boyfriend that she’s in love with, and become the goth gf of his dreams?
Notice she didn’t follow Eddie into the rooms, she didn’t even want to be around him to be safe from being ALONE with Vecna. She was using him to get drugs, and she would have gone back to her normal life if they’d have worked to get her back to ‘normal’.
I’m sorry, but it’s total bullshit. If Eddie wanted to talk to her before, he would have. He’s not a shy person.
Sorry, I just had to post this because of all the anti gay Eddie content/Chrissy glorification.
But you know what I noticed in terms of positivity? Eddie does the same grin/mode of flirting he does with Steve later in the season with Jason in the cafeteria scene. Eddie is the type of guy that loves negative attention, because it’s attention.
Also, just throwing this out there: Jason Carver reacted to an irrational situation and I wish that the duffer brothers were smart enough to use him as a dynamic character.
#jason carver#jason x eddie#munver#tigerfreak#eddie munson#carmun#hellcheer#Chrissy discourse#all my homies hate Chrissy on principle#not really but she had as much character development as barb#but she’s sessy cheerleader so simp#idk man I dislike straight people

Okay, see, the thing about your story ending on a negative/dystopian/'despite everything that's happened nothing has changed in society' note and doing so successfully? It needs to have been set up for that in the first place, and it needs to be done in an intentional manner.
I have nothing against works that reinforce how cruel/meaningless/pointless/etc. the world is -- I enjoy a fair few! -- but the works themselves need to be some sort of commentary about it; the plot might be demonstrative of the futility of everything, but the story never should. It should take that and build on it and use it to make a statement, underscore a point, etc. to its readers. Having everything carry on business-as-usual without acknowledging it, especially in a genre that's generally meant to conclude on optimistic, uplifting, and hopeful notes, comes off as callous and in direct opposition with the values it extols.
Plus, the story itself should never be futile because, then, well, it never mattered as a work and it makes no difference if you've read it or not. Which... that's just a badly written story lmao.
#i can't believe i'm posting about this topic again on our dear hellsite tungle.com lmao#huge deja vu vibes what year is it????#2018/2019??#(i think that's when the shock value/genre hopping/genre inconsistency hit its peak across multiple series)#i don't even go here anymore omfg#man. i didn't think i'd get this upset#that's what i get for going to look#i should know better by now. really. there's no excuse.#y'all my curiosity one day will kill me.#but like. i'm not upset as in 'i'm so angry i will fight everything'#that was past me#we've blown right past that and gone straight to the 'vaguely ill and sick to my stomach' stage#character development XDD#but like sorry not sorry explain away all you want about *gestures to all the other stuff*#but how the fuck do you explain having the visual emotional and narrative focal point of that family in its concluding panels#be the person who caused this shit???? why is he the one getting closure????#pretty sure i don't have the entire context surrounding my other lad who got pulvarized#(i saw a few comments about something something of//a would help with the end of the world that's coming and instead was used to murder him#that i don't quite grasp because i literally just skimmed the most recent chapters out of curiosity due to things i saw on my dash)#BUT i am making the executive decision to stop here#this rabbit hole's deep enough and i've gone wayyy further than i should have already#gonna cook some dinner; pick up sis from work; and enjoy my summer evening on my balcony#GAH#withoutwords

2023 reads
Saint Juniper’s Folly
YA paranormal mystery
follows a foster kid returning to the small town he grew up in, who runs from the judgemental townspeople and ends up magically trapped in a mysterious house in the woods
a boy who lives a boring life in the town until he finds him, and wants to figure out how to save him
and the young witch from the town over who’s heard the woods calling since her mother died, and wants to help
m/m, friendship & investigating a mystery
#Saint Juniper’s Folly#aroaessidhe 2023 reads#this is….okay#writing is quite young - it feels like middle grade. would be fine bc i like middle grade but it's a bit at odds with the fact that#they’re 18 and talking about college soon and driving round in cars a lot#There’s very little ghosty or spookiness - it’s more just about the characters and their developing relationships#I felt like there were quite a few pivotal scenes missing? Like it skips from the kid being back in this town for the first time#to suddenly he’s stuck in this house in the woods. We don’t see him go out there; realise he’s stuck; or anything.#(unless libby skipped a chapter in my audiobook again?)#It also felt like it skipped any of them like testing the supernatural stuff? They go straight to researching the house’s history.#Once the end is revealed it makes sense I guess - but it’s like the because the author forgot to make the characters (who Don’t know)#do the first logical things you might do in a situation like that. idk.#the boys hating each other at the start felt manufactured for some hate to love thing instead of for any reason.....I didn't buy it#Also my pet peeve of: having a character call her dad by his first name! …….but it's an indication of their bad relationship. okay then.#(I know that is also a real experience but MAN sometimes people just do that it's not always a sign of emotional neglect!!!!)#Anyway - I didn’t hate it by any means; there’s just a few little things that didn't work for me

after all these years of listening to his voice my nicholas boulton radar is so powerful that I clocked him one sentence into his role in this radio play adaptation of lady windemere's fan (he plays cecil graham and I'm fairly sure it's the naxos production, for anyone who might be interested! martin sheen is also in it as darlington and does a great job)
#boulton isn't on the cast list printed in most places (probably because it's a relatively unimportant role plot wise)#but I knew. immediately I knew. the part of my brain that lights up at hawke and reyes started going like a disco ball that's my GUY#and when I found the complete cast list I was vindicated#the incredulous echo of the 'but some of us are looking at the stars' line was just... *chef's kiss*#my opinion is... I think darlington and graham should have an affair after all this. I think cecil would be great rebound material#no marriage to ruin there give that man an education darlington#lady windemere's fan#I haven't read a lot of wilde before and it's very funny to see all the famous lines in their natural environment as it were lol#never has there been a guy more devoted to developing straight up zingers and he was so right for it#also the portrait of mr w. h. feels like such a nostalgic image of what the conception of shakespare conspiracy theories was#before the mainstreamification of the anti-stratfordian arguments. what an innocent time it was. no one even mentioned francis bacon#or numerology.#rip oscar wilde you would have loved shipping conspiracy theories#if only he could have lived to see the johnlock conspiracy era of sherlock fancom
