I have this really ridiculous idea for both my Cyberverse AU and My Fan Contunity.

Okay not all that ridiculous but it's still embarrassing to me.

But basically the concept is that Septimus Prime(who's basically a 14th prime from the idw comics, idw is very different with how the primes work)

Becomes the Crystalline King

It makes no sense whatsoever, but i love it. I mean, kind of, actually. Septimus was rejected by the other 13 as being a prime, so he creates crystal city to get revenge and has a "Let it go" from frozen moment. (I made @kelthebookdragon laugh when I mentioned that irl)

Frankly, I have been on a MASSIVE Transformers nostalgia train as of late, and while literally ALL the newer media I checked out (Rise of the Beasts, Cyberverse and Earthspark) have all been varying levels of bad or disappointing or both, that STILL has not been enough to put an end to the ride. Probably gonna go back to the old classics at this rate. I wanted so badly to draw my two favorite 'Cons, TEH Waves themselves, but machines break my brain. So how to vault over that problem?

I always had really stupid fantasy AU ideas for our favorite shapeshifting robots, and I finally caved in and had this veeery timid first try (I know this insane bull-- doesn't look like it, but believe me, it is). If the nostalgia train goes on longer, I might add more to this lineup, and I hope to practice "random fantasy designs relatively fast" first and foremost. Maybe even revisit Soundwave, give him a more mage-look next time around. We will see!

Also, fun fact: He Who Listens Attentively is the accurate translation of Soundwave's Hungarian name, Fülelő. Every site ever translates it as Listener, but that is not entirely true. The verb fülelni specifically means to listen attentively. So there you go, hope it was an entertaining little trivia! I will more than likely use this really cool, Egyptian deity-esque name in this fantasy insanity, IF there will be more!

OMG, I’VE BEEN WANTING TO SHARE THIS AU FOR A MINUTE—

Meet my Magnificence Reforged AU Connie!

Though Scorponok only ever referred to her as Experiment: A9-2416 (usually in Decepticon dialect).

Her story is that Scorponok created her as an experiment to see what would happen if an organic was able to produce a set of chemicals that are deemed somewhat powerful, yet common, by organic standards but emphasized to a certain degree with the help of Cybertronian technology. Entirely inspired by the mere Earth-Human conceptual myth known as the—

Indomitable Human Spirit.

What Scorponok was able to take away from eight years of properly caring for the experiment is that these chemicals that fuel basic organic functioning can be utilized exponentially to a degree where a full grown one of these things could even rival some of Cybertron’s strongest warriors. Maybe even the galaxy’s toughest warriors wouldn’t be able to stand a chance.

It became labeled as Adrenalineregon.

It turned out to be some crazy-powerful stuff once injected into a strong enough specimen.

Now why would Scorponok need to make something like this? Power? Recognition? Fun? All of the above honestly. But it’s also because in this Alternate Universe the Decepticons won the war for Cybertron, and Megatron has already built his perfect Decepticon Army to conquer the rest of the known universe, and he and the Grand Architect thought their Army of Tarn clones needed a little more pep-in-their-step.

You heard me. TARN. CLONE. ARMY.

(this isn’t a specifically cyberverse based timeline I just took the tarn army as inspo)

But what they didn’t expect was for the Tarn clones to go insane and turn on each other when being on mere drops of Adrenalineregon. Resulting in a mass extinction of Tarn Clones, with too many bodies to count, therefore being dropped on top of Scorpnok’s planet sized lab to remind him of the consequences of his actions.

EX: A9-2416 was, at the time, forever curious about the outside world, since she’s never been above the expansive laboratory planet’s surface. It always felt as if some unseen beings were trying to lead her to her escape every day since as long as she can remember. Small sign after small sign, guiding her to even bigger signs that kept getting her closer and closer to the way out. Of course, Scorponok always stopped her from getting too close.

A9-2416 always hated the amount of gruesome tests she had to do afterwards as punishment for misbehaving.

Until on her ninth birthday, A9-2416 finally made it to the exit, and Scorponok got exceptionally pissed off so much that in self-defense A9-2416 grabbed the nearest cannon she knew how to operate and blasted it through his spark. She cried a lot that day.

BUT HEY! Her life didn’t stay too depressing for long, because soon after she committed her very first act of murder, she became good buddies with the little voices in the walls that have been apparently guiding her throughout her life!

THE LOSTBOT BOTBOTS!!

(lol I’m nowhere near finished with every Lost Bot design, I just wanted to finish these couple few and make this post for the AU)

MEET THE LOST BOTS CLAN OF THE BOTBOTS!

They’ve been trapped on Scorponok’s Lab-planet-tory (im so funny) for decades along with the other Botbots who remained in hiding. But this clan was the only one brave enough to get anywhere near Scorponok’s main stomping grounds. What they didn’t expect to find was some weird sentient purple meat-potato in a makeshift industrial cradle. Turns out it was just a baby. And that baby turned out to be A9-2416. Who soon became known as Connie.

After A9-2416 escaped the inner dwellings of the lab and joined the Lost Bots on their little side quests up on the surface, she later changed her name to Constance, hence her more well-known nickname being Connie. The name change was suggested by her Botbot friends who knew a bit about Earth human culture and used their knowledge to help Connie have the most happy and carefree life that she could ask for.

Reincarnation au

Oh my, Optimus, Prowl and Starscream?! 😂

I'm imagining the constructicons pampering their leader, and, considering that there are multiple sparklings, making little jokes about the "mini-gestalt"

Starscream has a lot of emotions about this, a lot. But he has the rest of the Aerie + Windblade, Wheeljack, Bumblebee to help(they are also discreetly taking precautions after the discovery). Cybertron's News media are going crazy

IDW Optimus is... reacting as well as can be expected of him, Ironhide (who is the only one I remember) by his side and helping as best he can.

The lost light is now setting up a mini daycare, of course megatron is still deciding (and talking to rung and ravange) but the triplets + drif and ratchet sparklings are still a small team

Im just gonna answer these point for point. Please note, singleton pregnancies for non-seeker mecha are the norm for this AU and Rodimus having triplets is an outlier. Everyone else is only expecting one

1. The constructicons certainly try to pamper Prowl, but he is not reciprocal. He's like a feral cat: he'll accept food and attention but if you try to touch him he'll hiss and bite you

2. Starscream kept the cycle under wraps for as long as he could, and he's not at all keen on letting anyone get too close. It takes a lot of pestering (and abusing Sky's warpdrive, let's be honest here) just for his trine to get into his quarters to look after him. Thundercracker lectures him on taking it easy and not working so hard as the carrying cycle progresses, and he + Skywarp have their servos full constantly running after their workaholic trine leader trying to get him to rest lmao

3. Optimus is... God, I don't even know. How would IDW OP react? It's not like he's opposed to having a sparkling, but it just feels too soon. It wasn't planned, and he's kind of overwhelmed by....... Everything. Sparklings are a lot, being a parent is a lot, and he's still got a crazy busy schedule despite not being an active political leader atm. Ironhide threatens to sit on him if he won't allow himself time to rest lmao

4. It takes a hunch of schedule shuffling but with Ultra Magnus on the case there's quickly an airtight schedule for bitty care that guarantees they'll all be supervised by at least 2 responsible adults at all times during the work day. It's a bit of a transition after the mamas finish with maternity leave (Ratchet only takes 2 days off before he's back in the medbay with bitty strapped to his back smh), but they make it work

4.5 Megatron is still having a crisis over his impending parenthood. This can go one of two ways: he's had sparklings before and lost contact with them thanks to the shitshow of Cybertron's system and it's a repressed trauma response, or he has first-time carrier jitters combined with infinite guilt about The War and worrying his sparkling won't be able to have a good life with his name attached to them 🤭

5. Roddy's triplets are G1 ("Pinky"), TFA ("Maroon"), and Cyberverse ("Lil Red"). Mama Rodimus hasn't given them names yet (aka idk what to call them lol) so for now they're just called their colors. Kinda like Nightprowler was dubbed Lil P for the longest time

Soundwave survives the end of the show (even if only to not leave Shadow Striker alone to command Decepticons, come on we've got Hot Rod, Bumblebee and Windblade at the very least to replace Optimus but Shadow Striker has to deal with everything alone? Oh Little Angel's Family: the one I keep forgetting. Supernatural, it's about family feels among the angels (especially the archangels and Castiel) and isn't canon-compliant in the slightest. I think it diverges from canon at s4, but honestly I don't care about that one enough to search back my notes about it. It has an attempt to plot in it, it has. Anyway it's written in french and Michael is called Michel in it.

Not home: an Outer Worlds game character-study(ish) fic about the Captain being an outsider. Do not be fooled by the english title, it's written in french.

Star Wars. I've written many a fic of Star Wars stuff starring the Codywan ship, some in french that haven't been translated since I switched to full english. I've still got unfinished drafts of more fics including them which will probably never be finished because I can't be bothered, and I don't post unfinished drafts (there's one exception to this and I won't elaborate on it).

First of all I have to say that this couple has two aus in the transformers prime continuity and only one in the cyberverse one (Cyberverse shockwave is so cute......)

Au: Encounters (Prime continuity)

In this au it's very calm, it basically consists of my oc Skyr being a security guard at one of the oldest museums in Iacon, when one night a special relic is stolen, Skyr chases the thief to the outskirts and runs into a scientist very hermit to have any contact with another bot in years

As time goes by, both share scientific and historical knowledge, a couple of nerds alone for so long....

I would say that they both stay together on Cybertron for all that time and they both return to the Nemesis, everyone finds it strange that Shockwave is so attached with Skyr, who only suspects something is obviously Knock Out, while Starscream annoys Shockwave by saying that they seem to be like conjuxes.

Both tend to keep everything very normal, Shockwave is a little embarrassed to receive "affection" in public so their dates and special moments are usually private.

Au: "This is illogical, right?" (prime continuity)

This plot is more normal

Shockwave often has trouble facing one of the bots closest to ultra Magnus, Skyr, a femme who specializes in tactical attack, she is small and fast, too fast for a heavy tank like shockwave.

Skye usually prefers to fight Shockwave because she likes watching him Fight to catch it, dream of knocking it down a couple of times to joke with it and make fun, they are quite enemies and lovers, They usually have moments of tension that can turn romantic where they both wonder how they ended up like this????

Cyberverse

It all starts before the war, when Skyr and Shockwave were companions, Without ideological differences, they greatly enjoyed a long courtship, dating and so on, so even during the war they did not pause it.

Having secret exits from the autobots and Decepticons, leaving through planet Earth.

However, this ship ends badly, when they are discovered in the middle of the meeting, the groups of both factions begin to shoot each other, in an attempt to stop the dispute and explain what was happening, they hope able to reach an agreement, however Skyr suffered from crossfire, resulting in her death from a gunshot that is never identified.

They may all be illogical because of how Shockwave is, but hey, I don't care much, I'm happy with it.

Hello! How are you?

If it doesn't bother you: how do you think your version of starscream would react (and think) in relation to his counterparts/other versions? And what about skyfire? Would he get along well with his g1 version?

Long day! I had to travel for work and training, so I'm pretty tired but this ask perked me up a little. First of all, absolutely no bother at all! I LOVE thinking about my AU and I love my Starscream.

She's delightful.

I'll go with the main ones I am familiar with.

G1 (Cartoon) - Legend!Starscream probably wouldn't have a terribly negative initial impression as they are superficially similar, but the second she heard, he got his Skyfire back and shot him it would be on sight.

She thinks he is young and reckless because he doesn't have a proper plan and support base yet. She did a successful coup and would be furiously brooding over his G1 silliness, wanting to slap him over the head and probably doing it in between yelling about the correct way to overthrow your leader.

IDW1 - These two would be so similar that they'd either get along fine or kill each other. She is generally saddened and therefore furious at her counterparts' experiences and especially his relationship with his Megatron (Legend!Megatron and Legend!Starscream get along fine). She would also be screaming in frustration at his ruling choices and war crimes. He had it! He had it all, and he could have maintained it but decided to go a step further.

She is very pro-murdering the Senate, though, and would be impressed by his scheming and plans even if her own were different. She would be able to clearly see how she could have made similar choices to his own and the breaking points in his relationship with those around him.

Armada - This is a child. That would be her first thought. I think they'd probably get along, and the most exciting thing in their relationship would be her attempt to murder Megatron.

Aligned - I think they'd circle each other like cats, and she'd be wary of him. She'd sympathize with the losses of his people and be frustrated by his treatment. She'd honestly probably try and recruit him because it is clear he is competent and would be a good leader, and wouldn't you know it she has plenty of room for him.

Cyberverse - At least one of her selves kept the loyalty of their Seekers but then he ruins it by making a Death Cult.

WFC - Little shit. He also gives off incredibly young G1 esque vibes so the relationship would be similar.

Earthspark - These two would get along, I think. She would be understanding of his issues and respect his ability to lead from the little we saw of him he'd likely be another recruitment attempt.

Legend!Skyfire is heavily based on G1 Skyfire, and the two of them would likely get along incredibly well. Legend!Skyfire is also a bit more of a Wife Guy though and while he understands the moral conundrum G1 Skyfire faced and respects his choices and the friendship breakup, he did chose to go with his Starscream when they reunited.

Legend!Starscream would probably make an assassination attempt (non-playful) on most Megatrons.

ORIGINAL DIVORCE AU ANON

Galvatron the MegaLord Baby ACCEPTED! Damus is convinced that Megatron reproduced asexually and refuses to accept Overlord had any part in this.

Hot Rod is the oldest and is terribly fond of his slightly feral baby brother. Hotlock doesn't intend to help escalate them but Hot Rod is weak to puppy eyes when Damus asks for things he really shouldn't have and Deadlock wants to impresses his not-yet-maybe boyfriend and proceeds to teach Damus how to properly stab someone. Damus gives a disturbingly articulate speech about Deadlock serving the Cause well that Deadlock thinks is cute.

Damus is the equivalent of eleven, so Overlord has beef with a whole ass child, but Megatron is convinced "they're just playing" (and has informed Overlord of what will happen if it goes beyond what a ex-gladitor parent considers just playing in explicit non-sexy detail). Overlord mainly treats Baby Damus's assassination attempts like a cat treats a kitten and paps at him in what he'd consider playful.

Damus is convinced if his stepdad just dies horrifically he can swing his parents getting back together. He's even got a power point about Optimus keeping Ratchet if he really wants him. Megatron has Soundwave after all.

This is another point in Optimus's "I sometimes think about my exes new wife meeting an unfortunate accident".

They do switch off weekends at the Cyberverse esque wall splitting Cybertron. And sometimes have to cohabitate areas when they are visiting for events like Hot Rod's First Big Race or Damus's musical recital or holidays.

The baby DJD is forged by Optomus sending Damus to Summer Camp to socialize more because he's concerned about the increase in blood thirsty commentary since Megatron had Galvatron and Ratchet and he adopted First Aid. He gave Bumblebee nightmares and Arcee has been encouraging him. Damus proceeds to sort everyone by usefulness, genuinely befriend the weirdest kids there in a semi-positive manner, burn down the arts and crafts room, incite several riots, blackmail a riny medic jet into being his minion and tried to sneak him back home in his luggage, start a cabin gang war with the other weird kid gang in Cabin 3 (the Scavengers), and helped kidnap a Beastformer kid who was just watching the chaos go down fascinated while Ultra Magnus frantically tried to help with a missing child case.

The main portion of the story is Damus's adventures in Summer Camp.

The fact that Damus is younger than I anticipated makes it even funnier, like damn this kid has red flags. Especially with Hotlock and a weeeeee bit Optimus enabling him! I adore how Overlord is basically going "aww, too bad buddy😁" to this disturbed preteen who tried to poison his energon that morning. Damus trying to demote Ratchet to sidechick status.

The summer camp section is just. Sweet jesus Damus my little guy, if that's the main portion i am highly intrigued and i would read the hell out of that. This menace. He's just. You can practically see the fire crackling behind his optics with how much he can accomplish

Primus there's so much I can talk about with her, but her conceptual history would come first.

So basically, in like..spring/summer of 2022, I got into a HUGE Six the Musical Phase, which still is kinda going, but it's toned down since then. It's one of my favorite musicals. Anyway, I got into a huge phase with it, and I thought, "Hey, why not make TF Ocs based off the queens?" And at the time, I was doing like transformers gacha and just getting started with it.

(Like the main au I had going at the time, which i myself find kind of cringe now for the concept,but ultimately aware of where it got me, and I have many thanks to for the concepts that are still present today. This old Thunderhowl gacha design and AI became the basis for my Oc Thunderwolf, for example.)

So naturally, I did just that. I created five characters, all of which you know if you've read my fic: Hammerquake,Nitroquake, Steelspike, Aquafrost, and of course, the lady of the hour, Scatterspark. The aforementioned old Thunderhowl design took the place of Catherine Parr.

Basically, I called it the SIX Au.(Basic ik), and I created, I think,..7 videos(?) Before I lost motivation for it, I decided to "Discontinue" the AU, which basically meant the AU was dead.

So essentially, Scatterspark didn't exist anymore for a while.

Until I got the idea for Knight's Honor. At first, I just wanted to create a remake of What about me with my New Thunderhowl Design, and I did 3 parts of that(now deleted)before I gave it up. So I thought. What's a concept that hadn't been explored in Cyberverse? And then I remembered someone talking about how cool it would have been to see the Other Knights of the Primes on Here, and an idea struck.

a gacha series that focuses on the Knights. One Problem Though. Thunderhowl was the only Canon one. I needed characters to fill that role. So, I got to work designing characters one by one. Praxis,Esmerelda,Kaon(Later renamed to Aquafire) and then that's when I ran out of characters for the moment.

So naturally, I consulted the older videos and decided to bring back the SIX AU in it, but at the time, excluding Aquafrost.as well as an old oc who was a government official at the time, who you may know as Thunderstrike.but also, I had created an OC x Canon before this,Named Nightjaw, who I also added.

But I needed two more characters. At the time, my energy to create characters had come back, and at the time, the team was 6 girls and 6 boys. Then i realized adding a boy or a girl would make that uneven, so I decided to create a character whose gender identity wasn't fully one gender. Someone In-between.

So i created Necromancer to fill that Gap, A Demi-Boy who uses He/They Pronouns.

So, who would be the last one? I resorted to consulting my own mind. I scanned all the way back until I remembered a Fnaf Oc i had named Funtime Circuit..so I modified him for Transformers and he became CircuitBreaker.

Though he eventually got replaced by an Oc Named Falcon

And she's pretty much stayed in the lore ever since. I guess..I could show you her design evolution? Like just my personal favorites. Notes in the Alt text.

Scatterspark's character is complex. She was used and manipulated as a child, always believing it would be different. Even in the modern day, she is still somewhat naive. Luckily for her, she has a Husband like necromancer who is willing to be with her through it all. Alongside Necromancer, she also has a good relationship with most of the rest of the Knights. She eventually does forgive praxis. She actually sees Thunderhowl as almost like an older brother, which is weird to her because she never had brothers, so how would she know what a brother was like?

Oh! Katherine Howard isn't her only inspiration! She's also inspired by Veronica from Heathers and Eliza from Hamilton.

I’m disappointed that two of these are straight too. But Mia/Moreau is my weird little monsterfucker ship that I and only I enjoy from the RE8 fandom, and I’ve been working on something for my Coordinator!Emmet AU which would eventually (probably) end with Emmet and Johanna getting platonically married to meme on Ingo and for tax benefits lol. Wheeljack/Shockwave is here because I’ve recently been watching Transformers: Cyberverse and Wheeljack and Shockwave are TOTALLY exes and I love it! Shockwave’s probably my favorite character in Cyberverse since its version of Starscream is just... SO BAD! Cyberverse has a good version of Shockwave. Still has that classic loyalty from gen 1, while being an unethical scientist like later iterations. Also he kept his severed hand around and programmed it to float around and do stuff for him, and I find that HILARIOUS! Cyberverse Shockwave is a good iteration of him! Even though his vibes are RANCID lol. Oh, but as a bonus to the person who tagged me, @penquinlori​ and I have talked A LOT about Bernadette Beneviento/Salvatore Moreau as an idea. Basically the idea was that Sal was engaged to Bernadette (Donna’s aunt) some time before he started undergoing the cadou experiments. At some point Miranda took Bernadette for experiments and she died. Sal was away from the village at the time and so was never really made privy to what happened to his fiance. Sal’s brother Mihai may have also been involved in all of this too. It’s all very heartbreaking and I love it. >:3c And we’ve both been working on fic that features this relationship. :p

1st ever ship: I think it must’ve been... Naruto/Hinata from Naruto...? Because that was the first fandom that I like... REALLY got into...? Yeah, boring, I know. Like maybe I shipped May/Ash from Pokemon before that? Hard to say. But I remember shipping Naruto/Hinata pretty hard when I was a kid. Though I did have an OC that I made to be with Gaara lol

I'd been forever since Spark Case was last seen. Worryingly long, so long that it began to gather the higher ups optics. So many high profile bots were disappearing.

Lenro was horribly worried. He hadn't found the mech before, no meeting or talking time. He was just...gone. now he was stuck pacing around. Looking worse then the weeks before.

The rest were worried about the news. Ghost wire felt uncomfortable as there was no news of what was happening with the disappearances. Flow worried that they are brainwashing the other higher-ups like last time. Oh, it's faster than before.

And Fedelis came around to check on Lenro. "Lenro. You're going to pop a shock absorber." He said, a bit more out of concern with the situation.

My intention, in the ask, was about the possible scenarios of Tfa Rodimus reincarnating in IDW or cyberverse

OHHHH GOTCHA I'm stupid lmao

IDW Rodimus is not ready to he a carrier, tho for different reasons from G1. Life on the Lost Light is hectic, there's always something going on, and Roddy does legitimately try his best to be a good Prime and keep the ship from going up in flames. Suddenly finding out he's sparked is scary. He already has a lot to do, there's always some impending disaster to fend off, and he's just. Not in a place where he could devote himself to being a full time parent. He doesn't even know who the father is!

Of course, it eventually comes out that there is no father, but that's a story for another day

When baby Roddy is born and is in such critical, frail condition, Mama Rodimus can't do anything but cry. It's not like he was ever planning to have a sparkling, but now that he's here he's already so perfect and Rodimus loves him so much... it breaks his heart seeing his baby struggling for life in an incubator, hooked up to multiple wires and tubes while the monitoring system slowly beeps with the pulse of his little spark

Rodimus is practically glued to the medbay for the next several weeks following emergence. Not because he's hurt, he's actually recovering from birth like a champ, but because he can't bear fo be away from his bitlet. Ratchet, rare as anything, is endlessly patient. Never once scolds him for loitering, and brings in a chair so he can sit next to the bitty and hold his tiny hand through the service holes. First Aid has to gently bully him away just to make him go lay down and sleep--more than once they've found the Prime with his arms folded on the incubator glass with his helm down, recharging fitfully but unwilling to leave his son. He deliriously argues when the medics try to make him go lay down, and eventually drag a medberth over so he can properly recharge next to lil Roddy

It's the most responsible and somber anyone has ever seen him--every other priority is secondary, his boy is all that matters. He let's Magnus and Megatron have full control of the ship while he's on leave--he has to be here for his baby. He's quietly terrified that his son is going to die. He's just so frail, and he'd never forgive himself if his only sparkling passed away and he wasn't there to see them off. He's hyperfocused and thinks of nothing else--not food, not rest, nothing.

Drift comes by for emotional support and to visit the baby bean a lot, bringing with him warm fuel and a thermal sheet for comfort. A+ gold star of an amica, and Rodimus is so grateful. It's quite awhile before baby is stable enough to leave the medbay, and until then, Rodimus is with him every second of every day 💖

As for cyberverse, answer will vary wildly depending on what season it takes place in. Which did you have in mind?

7. Favourite show(s)

Oh man, this one is actually hard bc I haven't seen a lot of shows in their entirety since I was little. I know when I was a kid, my faves were Beast Wars and Armada, and I've still enjoyed rewatching Armada (Beast Wars is harder because of how corny it is, unfortunately). As for favourite shows that I've seen more recently than 15 years ago, I'm actually really fond of Cyberverse bc I enjoy how it includes lesser known characters (also the idea of Soundwave as a memelord is hysterical to me.) I haven't seen a ton of Prime, but I also love what I've seen there since I think the animation style is cool and they actually redesigned Soundwave in a cool way for once.

19. A character you love that no one else seems to

Any of the Scavengers! Not that anyone really seems to dislike them, just feels like everyone except Misfire gets overlooked a lot. Spinister in particular is constantly rotating in my head like a rotisserie chicken and I have wayyyy too many random headcanons about him because I think he's super interesting.

21. A pairing you love that no one else seems to

Two answers - ShockOp (specifically IDW) and Nautiskids. For ShockOp, I think about their dynamic in a vastly different way to how I see a lot of fandom interpreting it and wish there was more fic examining it in AUs or with the nuance canon had and not just smacking them together like barbie dolls. Nautiskids just owns my entire heart but I don't see a ton of fic for it. Not necessarily that people don't like the pairing, guess it just isn't as popular as a lot of the main ships like Cygate and CDRW, alas.

29. A bot you could consider a mortal enemy

There's a few that could go on this list, but IDW Prowl probably wins. I fully recognise that a lot of his nonsense is probably because he needs therapy, but I have a real hard time with the whole 'I'm gonna feel guilty abt being terrible and then continue to manipulate ppl and be terrible and also nothing is my fault ever and history will prove me right' mindset.

(Second answer is probably Starscream. I love him so much and I think he's a fascinating character, but lying is a pet peeve of mine so I think I'd constantly want to kick his teeth in if I actually had to deal with him in person and not as a fictional character.)

40. What would you do if the Autobots landed on Earth right now and asked for your help?

Probably freak out in utter glee and become useless for twenty minutes, first and foremost, followed shortly by confusing everyone by asking a million questions in an attempt to figure out which continuity we're in and how scared I should be of someone shooting me or turning me into toejam.

Once I calmed down from the initial rush, I think I'd largely be annoying the hell out of the local archivist/information source trying to learn all I could about Cybertronians and the current situation re: Decepticons and such but ultimately, I would want to help in whatever way I could. I like to think I'm pretty okay at research and conflict resolution, so maybe I could sit on someone's shoulder and play Jiminy Cricket or help them get some information or something. (Also, first order of business is introducing Wheeljack to mythbusters. I just think it would be funny.)

More domestic au headcanons: MegOp fluff edition

Of the two, I like to think they balance each other out in a lot of senses, and I think this is what makes them clash while simultaneously making them work; Optimus is the gentle voice of reason behind Megatron's brash personality. I headcanon that they are extremely different in their day to day domestic life than out on the field and this is how

I genuinely think Megatron's primary love languages are gift giving and quality time while Optimus is more acts-of-service and words of affirmation

to expand on this and state my reasoning; I imagine that throughout Megatron’s life, he has barely been making ends meet, and to him, it’s comforting to be able to have the freedom to spend time with and spoil his partner with nice things every now and again since that wasn’t an option before

Optimus, meanwhile, has a lot on his plate; being a prime isn’t easy and he is always concerned that he has failed at maintaining his responsibilities. To be a Prime requires one to be an unwavering force, to be some level of “perfect.” Thus, I think that he loves both being praised, and he loves to praise to let other people feel good. 

If hypothetically they had to cook their own food, of the two, I think that Optimus would cook more and it would taste decent because he knows various recipes by heart, being a former archivist and knowing a lot about a lot of things.

Megatron will never ever admit that he is better at baking than cooking, though. Never ever. He would die before he let anyone know that he, Lord Megatron, a hardened energon miner, a former gladiatorial champion with hands that have destroyed many, many bots, is really good at making delicious confections with cute molding chocolate designs on them and that it is sometimes therapeutic (especially if he’s making something that needs to be kneaded; he just beats the shit out of it) and alongside poetry writing becomes something of an outlet.

I am conflicted about the baking headcanon because I feel like it could work in a few different ways but I also feel it doesn't work??? Idk it's like 3 AM and I'm very tired

The baking headcanon was totally not inspired by some really cute fan art of Megs and Poptimus in cute pink aprons

I imagine that treats were very very rare, especially because of his life in Tarn, and I imagine that (if cooking were a regular thing that needed to be done) many ingredients weren't that affordable or in as much supply so when he finally learned how to do it and he was in a stable environment (financially, emotionally, not imprisoned etc) he kept it as a hobby for himself. I feel like he wouldn't eat them himself (I can’t help thinking he doesn’t like sweets too much unless it’s tasted through Optimus’ lips lmao)

Megatron’s version of flirting/pseudo dates(pining edition); love poems (that he never sends and Optimus finds one day), longingly watching Optimus with the slightest gleam of admiration in his eyes as he’s working on something, covertly learning about Optimus’ interests (simply because he’s curious, he reasons with himself) so he can get to watch his eyes light up, arena training (I feel like he either goes easy on Optimus, or he goes extra hard).

lowkey develops an obsession but nothing too severe

Optimus’ version of flirting/pseudo dates (pining edition): it does not exist at first. the boy knows how others flirt but he does not, at first, because his oblivious ass doesn’t recognize Megatron’s crush and Megatron’s too stubborn to admit his crush. However, as time wares on, he tries to flirt, too. As an archivist, Optimus learns Megatron’s favorite subjects/poets/things to read and learn about and always has suggestions/recommendations on hand for him. I imagine the arenas are also a favored pseudo date bc he trusts Megatron in this au. Idk I feel like there's a lot of corruption kink/bad boy vibes in this ship but that's for another post. It becomes much harder as a Prime to pine/flirt/go on dates-but-not-official-dates, but he’s doing his best okay—As a prime, his flirting is more or less the same, but I feel as though he starts to get creative, even if becoming a prime has made him a tad bit more reserved and private in his affections.

Megatron’s version of flirting while they’re actually dating/sparkbonded?? (Note: I don’t know if flirting is the right word! Just cute things they do I guess?) It’s subtle but I imagine it’s not so subtle that Optimus does not notice. Some of the actions include but are not limited to: Doing the princess hand kiss every now and again. subtle looks as if Optimus is the entire universe before him, only to look away before his sparkmate can notice. (Rare) Hugs that last a little longer than usual. 

On that note; I feel like Megatron's hugs go one of two ways depending; bone-crushingly tight and somewhat uncomfortable, or very gentle and delicate, like he might break Optimus. This is especially true if the domestic au is one in which the war happened BUT the characters experienced different fates.

Optimus’ version of flirting/The cute things Optimus does while dating/sparkbonded include but are not limited to; gently kissing/tracing old scars (reserved for intimate, private moments), reciting lines of old love poems Megatron wrote (always gets him flustered), interlacing their fingers when they hold hands.   

Of the two, Optimus is better at damage control in comforting his partner. Megatron does his best but sometimes he may be a bit too harsh without meaning to be. I imagine they’re both closed off about how they feel, so their methods of comforting each other would be different than, say, if Optimus were comforting Bumblebee. 

self indulgent scenario; 

It’s been a long night. Prime’s work has kept him away from home for ages. Every now and again, filling his field is a profound slew of feelings, feelings Optimus is more than familiar with. His spark aches with longing. He vents softly as he stares at the screen before him, the words no longer making sense, like gibberish, as if it isn’t even cybertronian before. He can almost feel the old guilt of crimes long past and long forgiven, the dull ache of a life consistently patterned with mistake after bloody, violent mistake. Above all, his fuel tank squeezes tightly, so tight he can feel it in his chasis, so tight he almost can’t vent for the briefest of moments. A frown tugs his dermas behind his battle-mask. He sends a feeling of inquiery through the bond. He does not receive anything back. He opens his private comms. 

“Megatron,” he quietly greets, voice reverberating off the walls of the empty room. “You’re still awake?” 

He receives only a soft grunt in response. 

“Are you alright?” he asks, aware that he may very well not receive an answer. He is correct. The anxiety that had filled his field, that had prompted his tanks to tighten, dissipates just slightly. 

‘Optimus?’ Megatron’s voice is raspy. Like he had just slipped out of recharge. Optimus can hear the strain of his voice, quiet, crackling just slightly. ‘I...I must have fallen asleep.’

"Was it a nightmare?” he asks quietly, boldly, knowing it was better to simply ask as opposed to beating around the bush, casting a wayward glance over the city through the window, at the pretty lights, the weight of responsibility resting harshly on him once again. “I’m sorry, my love. I have received a last minute assignment that I must complete. I will be done soon.” 

The feelings in the field dissipate, slightly, though it quickly became clear why— He could already feel the metaphorical walls rising through the bond. 

‘Hurry up.’ comes Megatron’s groggy, brash order, something Optimus had gotten quite used to in the many vorns they had been together, and the comms click off. He can still feel a twinge of desperation. As if entrapped by phantom pain, Optimus can feel his mesh tingle, and he is almost overwhelmed by the desire, the instinct to abandon his post and rush home to his lover. But he knows he cannot do so, yet. 

Through the bond, after several kliks of silence, several kliks of non-movement, several kliks of never-ending paperwork and feeling the ebb and flow of feelings Megatron tries to hide behind the wall, Optimus sends the sensation of touch. On the other end, Megatron can feel the sensation of a digit ghosting over an old scar about his arm, from the arena days. He covers his eyes, fighting the urge to scope out his hidden stash of engex. 

Their shared field is filled with concern. Optimus turns off the screen. 

“My love,” Optimus begins into his end of the comm. “Light of my life.” He can feel the hesitation on the other end, and the field is filled with a sense of familiarity. Megatron can’t help but recall all of the old days, when he had regularly called his beloved the light of his life. “Your past does not define you. You are not your mistakes.” 

‘Darling,’ Megatron’s voice is a tad more understandable by then. Optimus knows he would never admit it, but he can hear the pain in his voice. The field is filled with the ghostlike sensation of digits intertwining with Megatron’s, servos wrapped around one another. ‘I ran into Starscream and Skyfire today.' Optimus must pause upon hearing that, his spark flickering just slightly. 'He looked at me with so much hatred.' It is a simple statement. Optimus can feel the field fillbonce again with dread. 'I have committed many wrong-doings, Prime.'

"I know, Old Friend." Optimus does not deny or defend. "It never gets easier."

'Yet you forgave me.'

"I did."

'How could you possibly forgive someone whose hands have caused so much destruction?’ Megatron asks, quietly, uncharacteristically. It is so unexpected that Optimus must reel for a moment, in a freefall of thought, knowing that his unmovable force of a sparkmate must feel truly tortured, if he is showing vulnerability such as this.

“The same hands that have caused destruction have also paved the way to rebuilding,” Optimus answers, stepping away from the computer, and collecting what few things he would need for his return home. “Your hands are hands of death and rebirth—and they have learned to love.” Through the bond, he sends old, vague memories. The soft, quiet moments, mostly. He can hear his lover exvent quietly. “You have made the attempt to rebuild from your mistakes. You need not suffer from them alone, anymore.” 

The other end is quiet, but the comlink has not been disconnected. Through the bond he can feel the hypothetical walls collapse some, behind them a mix of feelings.

“The time has come to rebuild, Megatron," It is a simple statement. He can feel the slightest twinge of hope. "Allow me to rebuild with you."

There is the slightest sigh on the other end.

'Thank you, Little Prime.' Prime is sure he can imagine the slightest smile cross the gunmetal grey faceplates. 'Come home soon.'

The comms click off. Optimus sends through the bond the sensation of a soft kiss to the knuckle. They would be okay, he means to say through the sensation. He would make sure of it. He receives the sensation back.

They fall asleep again, peacefully this time, when Prime returns.

TFP au where Miko's host family are the Darby-Esquivels- I have a lot of issues with the logic in TFP surrounding miko- inorder to be an exchange student she'd need consistently high grades and while the show tries to make it sound like mikos host family is neglectful and they basically don't exist- that's nonsensical why would anyone volunteer to be a host family and then not hang out with the kid? You don't get paid anything so it can't be about money! it really is about developing a relationship with the exchange student during the duration of the program. In this au, jack and raf are half-brothers, jack's dad divorced his mom and Raf's dad is dead, we get some actual backstory on miko, also here miko cares about her grades- cause if she started failing she'd be forced to drop the exchange program- this also subverts some expectations cause in this au I want miko to actually be punk! And I want to give Jack a bit more oomph, Raf would be heavily rewritten (he stays a shy hacker boy who becomes friends with Bee and Ratchet but can we give him something to work with outside of that?)

Also Silas and MECH and dark energeon aren't dropped from the story- MECH and Silas as villains where genuinely more interesting than the omega keys and artifact crap we got, I'd go as far to say Silas is more interesting than Megatron and after all the stuff we see with starscream being an actually competent scary villain that was also comedic it angered me to see him become so flanderized- so here we take a cyberverse route but do it a bit differently and Unicron stays a major threat (I'm taking some inspiration from armada so in this au sideways replaces arachnid but instead of starscream getting redeemed- well let's say he still doesn't get a happy ending) I changed arachnid out for sideways cause she made little sense in universe.

Raf doesn't understand bumblebee in this and there's at least one story where they have to find alternative means of communication- let be actually be disabled by his lack of a voice box

I'm probably never going to write this but I'd like to see other people add to this au with there own ideas, let's get freaking insane and do the stuff tfp didn't have the balls to do! kill Bulkhead and let him get actual character development so it hurts, give Dreadwing a redemption arc, lets give arcee her time to shine, let's get some gay shit with Knockout and Breakdown let's fucking go!

edit: I was thinking about what problems I have with most human characters in transformers is that they 1 aren't as interesting as the bots are, I understand they want the characters to be relatable but sometimes they make them into flat characters borderline harem protagonist, another problem is a problem more commonly found in YA books- when a 16 year old middle class scrawny white girl with no combat training or superpowers or anything can successfully fight off a room full of vampire fbi agents with no injuries or losses, so my goal is to make the kids badass but in a more believable way, so they aren't just damsels in distress either

like I know jack was chosen because he's suppose to be like a young Orion pax and whatever but like it never felt right to me, they could have drawn the parallels clearer, we can also make Miko's badassery and cool moments more emotionally satisfying and make them feel more...deserved idk how to explain my problems with the humans in transformers too well.

Also can we make this the ultimate found family au? And bringing back some inspiration from transformers animated for Bulkhead- not exactly mind you but I love the idea of miko showing bulkhead something cool/creative for a hobby like how sari showed him art, and in RID15 apparently raf and bee liked watching cowboy movies together so now I'm just imagining pure fluff with these ideas I'm trying to come up with some fun ideas for jack and arcee- I usually don't like fluff but I like seeing friends being friends- it's adorable

More on miko, in this au she'd be the master of malicious compliance and finding loopholes, she's scared of failing and cares about her grades as stated above, but she also has early onset senioritis so she finds her ways, she rarely actually breaks rules or skips out, so she works smarter not harder, she's still got some major flaws, she's got a secret case of overconfidence, she's cynical (I think her parents would be loving but super controlling and never gave her privacy so she became sneaky to get away from them, she might have become a lone wolf in school maybe people thought she was scary or something maybe she tried having friends but her parents scared them away I like the idea that mikos super outgoing but in a way that scares people or she struggles with deeper connections outside of surface level, more on Jack, I'm taking some spiderman inspiration- like the rest of the fanbase I shall torture him for fun, give him some hidden rage, a guilt complex, constantly stress over June Raf and Miko, and here he's going to be a senior, he still lives with June and pays her rent but it's always a little bit extra even though she says he doesn't have to, he remembers the time when his parents first divorced and when Raf's dad got sick in this so he worries about cash a lot and maybe has some depression, he's working out what he wants to do with his life and all around is trying to act stupidly responsible and mature to cope, raf is still a dorky lil baby but he's got a surprisingly dark and unsurprisingly gross sense of humor and is more interested in biology than computers at the start, but starts picking up on stuff real fast, he and bumblebee work on alternative means of communication together(one day the bots can't translate what he's saying so after that they start practicing sign or Morse code or something!) Idk just tell me random stuff that bothered you tfp and RID15 or ideas you guys have that could make this au interesting
