Have been journalling events in my life for over 5 years now. Filled 3 diaries & covered many important milestones.

Something to be proud about, isn't it?

Writing in my diary helps me to keep my thoughts organised 'cause well, till i don't write it down & look at the words for a moment, i cant conclude how I feel about the idea.

It's complicated, yeah.

I decided to somewhat document my first attempt at linocut! I wanted to try a new hobby and decided this was a fairly inexpensive one. Here are the supplies I got from my local Michael's. The kit includes a linoleum block, carving tool, a tube of ink, and a roller.

The plan is to make Christmas cards using this method. So without further ado, he's my initial sketch.

I realized this was too big to fit on my block, so I had to revise it a bit.

My next step was tracing it onto transfer paper then tracing the opposite side so that it would eventually face the way I wanted on the cards. I taped it down so the paper wouldn't move on me and had to carefully remove the tape when finished

I accidentally transferred the wrong side of the image the first attempt, but luckily I could just flip the block over and transfer the correct facing image. Here's the incorrect facing side

Next I retraced the image using a ballpoint pen

I'm hoping to start carving sometime before December to give myself enough time to print the cards, write in them, address the envelopes and get them in the mail.

The kick of not liking the piece you're making/have other ideas vs the punch of knowing you will have to frog all this beautiful work

Once it’s done I shall share a picture of my project. It was going to be pants at first and then a long blanket sweater. But as I got started on the blanket sweater all I could think was big sleeves. So now it’s going to be a crop top type of sweater thing that actually comfortable and fun
