Most people are so fucking stupid.

Dabi can hardly believe it actually, how these people who claim to love these heroes so much can be so blind to anything and everything about them.

Normally these bouts of rage would be about how heroes are all corrupt fakes, but this time was an exception.

Dabi had set fire to so many gossip magazines lately that Kurogiri had to ban them from entering the premises after the sprinklers went off and ruined Shiggy’s gaming system.

They’re all so fucking stupid.

Hawks isn’t flirty, he isn’t promiscuous, snd he definitley isn’t cheating on three fucking people!

The damn bird is just…

Well, he’s too fucking nice for his own good is what he is.

Dabi fucking hates it.

He hates it because a pretty man can’t be fucking nice and sweet and friendly to peoeple (even when it’s part of his fucking job) without it being used against him.

He also hates it because that same kindness, friendliness, sweetness is being used on himself.

And it’s fucking working.

The way those bright golden eyes light up when they see him, the way those freckles cheeks tint pink when Dabi smiles at him, or the way he throws his head back in laughter when Dabi says something amusing to him, the way his wings flaps when Dabi brings him food he likes…

It WORKS on him.

But he doesn’t think less of Hawks for it, he just fucking despises himself for falling for it, knowing what he knows about heroes.

The real kicker?

The light only reaches Hawks’ eyes when he sees Dabi.

His cheeks only tint pink when it’s Dabi that smiles at him.

Laughing only makes him throw his head back when it’s real, and one of the few things that makes it real these days is Dabi.

Hawks has steel control of his wings, the only thing that throws him off is when Dabi does something nice for him.

But Dabi doesn’t know that.

Neither does the gossip magazines.

Hopefully at least one of those two changes sooner rather than later.

There isn't any real reasoning for why I made this. Maybe because I already did something like this with 1-A? I just thought it'd be a fun scenario to imagine where these characters would be if they had real jobs. Instead of ending up in various levels of dead or damaged. I will ignore characters that I think are simply too evil to have any real chances, like Moonfish, or others I just don't think are interesting, like Mange. That and most MLA because they already have real jobs. Them being redeemed would just be them going back to work with ankle bracelets on.

Mustard-Fumigator: If his gas can knock out and poison people that quickly, I imagine that it can kill bugs just as well. And if he comes across any particularly bad bugs, he always has his gun.

Giran-Salesman: I mean, it'd be basically be what he was doing before. Now instead of seeing illegal weaponry, he'll be selling used cars so expensive it should be illegal.

Spinner-Streamer: He can still play games and not leave his house, but now he will hopefully have a more healthy outlet for everything he is going through. He doesn't even need a VTuber set up. He is the goofy model.

Tomura-Waste Management: This allows Tomura to let out his destructive tendencies and can help get rid of a lot of debris and trash that is just laying around. Now instead of leaving a destroy wasted, he can clean up the destroyed waste.

Mr. Compress-Street Mage: Probably the most obvious pick out of everyone on this list. Between his power, his gimmick, and his natural showmanship, it all fits right into this kind of job. He doesn't even need to change his outfit to make it work.

Muscular-Coach: Since he can't be trust in any fighting based sport. I'm not sure if this would be as a gym coach or personal couch, but either way, he is going to take all that sadisms and ideas of conflict and channeling that aggression for other people's benefit.

Kurogiri-Travel Agent: As much as hero may be on the table, I think there would be some optics issues with that. Still he could send people where ever they want to go on vacation with a fraction of the rates. Just as long as they give a way to send them back home.

Dabi-Lead Singer: Specifically something in the metal or rock genre. He's got that perfect mix of voice, look, and angst to fit right into that kind of culture. And considering how many songs are written for people who don't like their dads, he'd have plenty of material for songs.

Toga-Photographer: Toga was the hardest out of all of them. I just went with something that could express herself more healthy, maybe even being a crime scene photographer, and being in a job where stalking someone is considered worthwhile experience for the job.

Twice-Odd Jobs: As much as I want to say tailor for his sick measuring skills, he doesn't really have any definable skills. So having him be around and help people with his dozens of clones seems fitting. That and there is so much comedic potential in them doing odd jobs week to week.

Gigantomachia-Tourist Barge: Instead of demolishing cities, Gigantomachia can use his tough body to show people around normally hazardous areas like oceans or mountains. He can even use the cheers of the people he's carrying as encouragement to boost his power.

Geten-Ice Cream Man: I prefer to think that Geten's abilities would cover ice cream as well. As such, it is only a natural conclusion that he would become an ice cream man. And knowing him, he will fight and train to be the best ice cream man on the planet.

Kuin-Beekeeper: Considering how bad of a spot bees are in, Kuin could do a real service to the community be helping to spread out pollen with her power. And hey, leading a bunch of bees would come naturally to her as a living insect.

Number 6-Motivation Speaker: Forget the amount of social manipulation he did in his own story, I say this job fits because of the amount of spite Number 6 has. It's that spite that allowed him to get going and fulfil his dreams. Now that's inspiring.

Overhaul-Doctor: I've already gone over how useful "Overhaul" would be in medical work and he already has plenty of experience with medicine. Heck, we can even have the other yakuza guys around as nurses and other kinds of assistants. Beside manner may need work.

Stain-Bounty Hunter: I wanted Stain to end up somewhere where he could technically good, like a detective, but a bounty hunter fits way more within his skill set. Plus, there is a lot of comedy potential. Imagine a poster him in the bond office say "Pay your bond or else!"

Gentle and La Brava-Social Media Stars: Basically what they were doing before. Now with hopefully less crime in between videos. Gentle could even spin his whole redemption for more views, telling his sad story in prison and his time trying to rehabilitate himself. Take that as genuinely or facetiously as you want.

Have you ever been in a situation where you’re living with someone under ONE roof yet not speaking with one another? Growing up, I’ve always heard my mom emphasizing on “Family comes first. Blood is thicker than water and et cetera.”

I believe that created a deep-rooted motto in my system and to be honest, the motto itself proves its righteousness everytime a life experience comes knocking on my door! What’s even interesting about this motto is, its righteousness blooms so brightly especially when it comes to your hardship in life.

Who’s there by your side when you’re in the hospital? Who’s there when you need some urgent funds? Who’s there when no one wants to be there for you? Who’s there all the time willingly other than your blood?

But that’s the thing about blood, it oozes out even for a small prick. Even how tiny the thorn is, the blood would still ooze. Sensitive they say huh? That’s how family relationships are and what’s worst is when the fued does not seem to be resolving instead it’s expanding into this vast bitterness where sweetness does not seem to be lying despite looking for it at every corner yet it’s only bitterness I could feel.

To feel or not to feel. On any side, it’s still a curse! Don’t you agree?

I know this is a big moment, but Izuku almost getting hit by the Isekai Truck™ is one of the most unintentionally funniest things to happen in this arc, if not the whole series. Ignoring how sudden and out of place it is in this moment, going into the depths of Tomura's mind and being met with potential vehicular manslaughter, the fact that the series could have just ended if Izuku was a second slower is hilarious. All of this buildup in the series ended via dream death.

And since this is happening in Tomura's mind, whether he is conscious of it or not, I fully believe that Tomura sent that truck after him. He's just enough of a nerd to want to do something like that. Try to take out the plucky high schooler with a good heart with a truck. Dude almost turned Izuku into the protagonist of a whole other manga. Which brings up the question of where he would end up? I don't know. What kind of crossover fanfics are people making of him right now? Better yet, what kind of overly long name is it going to have?

What are your thoughts on My Hero Acadmeia in the K-Verse? Quirks could easily be explained as X-Gene, and the majority of the story focuses mainly on Japan anyway.

Purely hypothetically speaking, you'd be right! It'd be a very easy merge for many reasons. I will say, the show kinda lost me after S3 - I was more interested in the "Academia" side of things and the characterse themselves than the story, so between that and the fact that it would not exist in a vacuum (there's a whole lot of prioritary Mutant history it'd have to mesh with, to say nothing of the abundance of non-Mutant superheroes in the world, as well as, y'know, the existence of the magical side of it all), I would caution against expecting something very similar to the canon events if I were ever to include it.

Jujutsu Kaisen Live Rewatch Season 1 Ep 2

Since Season 2 has officially begun its release, I decided to rewatch Season 1 with all of the critiques and admiration that have developed since the shows conception.

Jujutsu Kaisen is a refreshing take on the shonen genre with seinen elements. The animation is amazing, the action is consistent, and the chemistry of the characters already challenges it predecessors. JJK also avoids some of the pitfalls of shonen such as the overuse of fan service, romance obsessed female characters, and unrealistic motivations.

Watching this episode, I remembered a critique someone shared that made them hesitate to finish the show. No judgement, I've writtmw off many an anime I've come to enjoy or even favor (My Hero Acadmeia and Naruto, for sure). Their problem? Yuuji is a "coerced" hero.

Now, I understand the moral conundrum of the forced hero who is pulled into a mess not of their making and has no choice but to deal with it, or face the consequence. Where's the consent? Is it heroic if someone else made the choice for them?

But by the 2nd episode, there are several examples of how Yuuji enthusiastically and determinedly accepted his new path to fight curses and save lives.

1. In episode 1, Yuuji jumps into the fight to save his friends with little hesitation. After his grandfather's death. He was committed to using his strength to help others. That motivation remained consistent throughout the series. He could have ran home or waited outside the school like Megumi told him. Instead, he tapped in and tapped ass. Then, he stayed to help Megumi.

He ate Sakuna's finger willingly in order to have the power to beat the curses. And he was agreeable to joining their cause when he was finally given an ultimatum which already aligned with his motivations.

2. Yuuji is tested to see how committed he is to being a jujutsu practitioner. It's not an easy life, and the typical shonen "I want to save people" does not fly with the senior sorcerers. They did not admit Yuuji as a student until he came up with his own reason to fight curses outside of someone final death wish. Because at the end of the day, he's the one who has to live with that decision.
