Bucky knowing at least 31 languages according to CACW, super serum brain enhancements and the fact he learned Xhosa in Wakanda, leads me to believe he must have the fucking gnarliest of language blurring. You know when you can't seem to figure out how to word something in one language so you skip over to a different one but wait no one knows that...

I also don't think English would be Bucky's default language anymore. It's his birth language, sure, but Russian is probably the language he defaults to now after 80 years right?

So if Bucky's ever delirious for whatever reason, extreme tiredness, magic, super drugs or whatever who knows, do we think he talks in the most insane blend of languages, does he say a sentence in Japanese then switch to Korean and then to Polish, do we think he'd point blank say "I'm sorry I don't speak English" in English to his English speaking friends or teammates because he thinks in Russian and about fifteen other languages before he gets to English, and then goes "oh wait I do" or...?

steve having a rocky sense of "home", because the concept of "home" growing up was always fleeting. how he learned very young that home isn't a place, it's people, and that it can be pulled out from under you at any time. his dad making the four walls of his and his ma's apartment far from a safe space to call home, but the barnes' apartment always welcoming him and sarah with open arms.

he's a wanderer, always has been, but it's especially evident when bucky comes in from the cold and he seems to find his way back home fairly quickly, because he has a baseline. always knew what a good home and family looked like, sounded like, felt like in his bones. was raised on the notion of community and safety-- things that weren't guaranteed for steve as a kid.

and bucky knows this, and he sees steve struggling. sees him still drifting, wandering. lost. a ghost in his own skin. and he knows he can't be the one to show steve that he can settle now. he knows it needs to be steve that believes that. but he can do what he's always done. hold him close and hold the front door open, waiting and ready for steve to be ready to come in.

"C'mon, clean up your blood, sweetheart," Rumlow gives a soft coo, and guides Bucky's tear stained face towards the pile of blood that is on the hardwood floor. The other man was on his hands and knees, body shaking, and his neck had two, pretty collars adorned on his neck. A shock and prong collar.

Bucky whimpered, and used his tongue to clean up the blood from the floor, but as he did so, more dribbled down, creating another small puddle. 

Rumlow had just gave him three ampallang piercings, without anesthesia. And even if they didn’t go through his urethra, Bucky was still crying, clearly in pain.

He had just got annoyed at his little boy’s hard ons, that wasn’t up to Bucky, that was up to him. 

Rumlow wanted to control that, his boy’s body was his, and his alone.

As he watched the man try his best to clean up, he crouched down and gently pet his head. “That’s a good boy,” He praised, and Bucky whined softly and looked up at the other man before he nuzzled into his hand. Body still shaking, dick still bleeding. The most amusing thing about it though to Rumlow, was the fact that his dog was leaking precum. 

His dog was such a dirty, filthy thing.
