Ok I'm the same person who mentioned how I thought STCMO!Ford and Luna from mlp shared parallels in an earlier ask and now I've finally found time to read through all the asks and got my question answered about Ford relocating a younger Stan to an older Ford :D I'm really glad it's possible!
I know you said in an earlier ask that Ford's never had to save a Stan younger than a toddler before but I keep imagining a scenario in my head (you've successfully given me brain rot) where Ford narrowly saves a newly orphaned infant Stan who was supposed to die with the rest of his family, being only days or possibly even hours old at the time. I feel like that would be the first and maybe only instance where Ford actually grieves (however small and short-lived it be) at the death of his parallel self, given that Ford's typically hostile or indifferent towards them, sometimes even having killed a few terrible ones, but this one was just an innocent little baby.
Anywho, after cleaning up Stanley, tending to any possible wounds, making sure he's safe and well fed and clothed, Ford decides he doesn't have any better choice then to relocate this baby Stanley to be with an older Stanford from a different dimension. And that's what I brought up in my original ask, Ford taking a young Stanley to live with an adult Stanford in his twenties or thirties or even fifties or sixties who had just lost his own Stan and was overwhelmed by grief.
I kept thinking about whether this Ford would go up to Stanford directly and explain what had happened, who he was holding in his arms right now, and that Stanford was to raise this Stanley like a father to a son from now on, or if Ford would simply drop off baby Stanley at Stanford's front door, knock, and then disappear into the shadows and observe from afar (possibly for the next few days) to make sure everything went smoothly. Just imagine that Stanford's reaction to seeing a baby on his front doorstep, picking it up and cradling it and trying to look around for who left it but it's too dark out to see anything, reading the name tag attached to the basket and becoming even more shocked to read his late brother's name. Maybe Ford left an anonymous note attached to the basket in that scenario that had an ominous, threatening vibe to it as it gave him instructions on what to do going forward now that he had his Stanley back.
I feel like despite the initial confusion and maybe panic Stanford would absolutely melt holding the small baby in his arms and would comply without a moment of further hesitation. And I kind of wonder how being a father would reform this Stanford who let his original brother die. If it would teach him humility, or prioritizing his baby, or learning to be gentle, affectionate, and nurturing for a growing Stanley. I guess Ford would have to do frequent check ups on this household.
I know it probably can't happen bc no babies but I couldn't get it out of my head without spilling it out onto paper. I thought it would be a cool/interesting scenario.
I know people have a soft spot for Dad Stanley, I fear I happen to be a sucker for Dad Stanford lol. One and a half Stans is probably my favorite Gravity Falls AU ever.
Ok that's all, I have yapped your ear off at this point. Have a good day/night!
Honestly? I like both Dad Stan and Dad Ford pretty equally. There's so much room for growth with both brothers when it comes to being the father they never had! I probably won't make this concept a mini series since I already have a dad au, but I would be willing to answer asks about 24yo Dad Ford (whose brother died on the streets) with a Baby Stan and do fic requests when my inbox is open to them. For now though, I'm gonna share my thoughts on this scenario!
Tumblr media
Ford 419"3 would approach Ford Xi11-5 with baby Stan from dimension J0\65 after saving him from a home invasion that the rest of his family sadly didn't survive, Ford had barely gotten there in time to stop one of the assailants from killing Stan via smothering with a pillow. Ford killed them all and left with a wailing baby Stan, locating the best match for the infant.
Ford Xi11-5 would most likely refuse at first, insisting that he had work to focus on and had no time to raise a child, even if that child was his own brother. He would be like Ford 419"3 in the sense that he's been consumed by his work, internally terrified that he would only fail his brother again if he took in the child. Because him? raising a kid? Laughable at best and disastrous at worst.
Ford 419"3 would be having none of that shit, simply depositing baby Stan onto the porch and stalking off, telling Ford Xi11-5 that he could either take baby Stan or leave the infant to succumb to the elements. Ford Xi11-5 is understandably horrified and furious, but he doesn't know that the deceptively ordinary basket that the baby is in is actually alien tech and would keep the child warm and safe.
So, it's basically one of 419"3 Ford's tests.
Ford Xi11-5 would just stand on the porch, unable to go inside and leave the baby on the porch for anyone or anything to get ahold of. And, with several vulgar insults, he would begrudgingly snatch the basket and carry baby Stan inside. Ford would find a sizable crate of baby supplies at his door a few minutes later along with an ominous note warning him not to try and hand baby Stan off to anyone else or Ford 419"3 would be paying him a visit.
Needless to say, Ford resigned himself to taking care of baby Stan until adulthood. First thing on the agenda would be filling out the paperwork that Ford 419"3 left him, giving Stan a new identity. After some consideration, Ford would name the baby Thomas Lee Pines (after Thomas Edison, who was a key figure in the invention of the lightbulb), though Ford would take to calling him "Tommy" as a nickname. Ford's terms of endearment for Tommy would be "Darling" and "Dear" because he's a total softy and no one can convince me otherwise.

some thoughts
Obviously, people have probably analyzed the hell out of this poem already, or it's incredibly obvious, but I just cannot get over the parallels between Bill Cipher and Stanley here so here are my ramblings for myself when I originally read the poem.
As we learn more of Bill's backstory, the hatred he has for Stan goes deeper, not just because Bill is upset that a "lower life form" has defeated him, but because he's deeply envious that the both of them "always dragged his family down", "couldn't outrun life's regrets", and yet only one of them got a happy ending: reunited with a family who loves him despite his mistakes, able to reverse one of his own deepest regrets, ie. pushing Ford through the portal after just getting him back. Bill likely always dragged his family down with his ability to see the third dimension, as the book and website implies that no one in Euclydia were exactly fond of his abilities, nor did they take him seriously, and they tried to quell his power. (He's basically like Viktor from The Umbrella Academy, but I digress I have not seen the new season). "One mistake, disowned, denied", their paths differ here, but Stan's mistake- ruining Ford's school project accidentally, and Bill's- massacring an entire dimension in the process of attempting to get them all to see what he sees.
We know Stanley's whole life of hiding and changing his identity. Bill goes to "reinvent, retry, reload" throughout dimensions.
"A girdle, eyepatch, fathers fez, / 'I'm a new man!' so he says,": With new info from the website, we can also guess that Bill's top hat, where he keeps the molecules of Euclydia in, once belonged to his father. They both "couldn't outrun life's regrets," and both are con mans in their own right of course, Bill is sketchy and makes deals to manipulate people. He’s a new man once he takes his dad’s top hat!
"When you've lost track of your lies / When the poison starts to rise / When the walls are closing in / When its clear you cannot win / When your actions make it worse / When they see you as a curse," sheesh, Bill is really projecting here. Even his lies are lies. It's funny how Bill really sees himself in both of the Stan twins. With Stanley he seems to project what he hates most about himself onto him in terms of mistakes, failures, and permanently altering his and his loved ones' lives forever, again showing why he despises Stan the most. Despite all of that, Stan got the life that Bill couldn't get back. With Ford, they both have a genetic abnormality, and level of genius and personality that no one else could relate to, making them both outcasts.
"You think you left the past behind / But trust me / I'm still on your mind." By the way, if Bill was still in his mind while his memories were getting erased, and Stan is getting those memories back, that implies that Bill can reform whole again, right? But anyway, these last few lines don't seem to apply to Stan as much as it does to Bill. His dead universe is always on his mind no matter what. Bill's story is so fascinating to me. He's been my favorite villain since I was eleven, so to expand upon him feels awesome. Book of Bill coming out has made me feel like a giddy little kid again who was screaming when she found out that there was a secret flashing of an image once the GF intro ended.
Stanley Pines, the conman clown,
Always dragged his family down.
One mistake, disowned, denied,
Only thing to do was hide.
One way out: the open road.
Reinvent, retry, reload.
A girdle, eyepatch, fathers fez,
"I'm a new man!" so he says
Couldn't outrun life's regrets,
Just kept placing bigger bets.
Changed his haircut, switched hotels-
Truth is just whatever sells.
When you've lost track of your lies,
When the poison starts to rise,
When the walls are closing in,
When its clear you cannot win,
When your actions make it worse,
When they see you as a curse,
Give the wheel one last spin,
Take your chips and go all in,
And Lucky Stan- the roll's on black,
He got his life and family back.
His big break, it finally came,
Redemption from a life of shame.
You really think you won the day.
You packed your bags and sailed away.
You think you left the past behind.
But trust me
I'm still on your mind.

Love Supremacy - brain rot part 1
So I have a problem. I enjoyed the first half of Love for Love's Sake without knowing I would get absolutely bowled over by the second half. I have so much to say holy fuck, I'm all over the place.
Unfortunately for everyone, my brain has been love supremacied, and I'm unable to move on. The show has a high rewatch value. It’s full of details; big, important ones, and small, insignificant ones, but they all add a lot of weight to the story. I need to exorcise my thoughts for my own sake. I guess if I have to intellectualize it somewhat, I really liked the show cause it’s perfectly balanced in terms of structure, and its themes. Judging from the amount of notes I have made on this show on my second watch, it’s safe to say it’s got some substance. It cleverly uses a mise en abyme, “a story within a story (within a story)” to really stack all those layers, and answer an age-old, quite difficult question: “what’s crucial to a happy life?” Dialogues, scenes, characters, and motifs all echo, mirror, and circle back to one another, giving the story enough dimension to avoid banalities.
Simply put, the thesis of the show is surprisingly philosophical, with universal themes. It posits that life is neither fate nor chance, and the answers are in mundane details of life. "Happiness is hidden somewhere in each of our days."
It’s obviously about love; a double love story even. Myung-ha learns to love someone else, and himself too. It's about life, and it's about death, new beginnings, and everything in between. The show made me feel like this, and like this, and like this, and...
Tumblr media Tumblr media
▶️1. Mirrors/Symmetry
2. Fate, Free Will, and Happiness
3. Game/Reality
The story structure is very symmetrical. Circular almost. I LOVE IT, I EAT IT UP LIKE A HUNGRY, GRUBBY GOBLIN. Things begin where they end, elements keep repeating themselves like a series of mirrors.
By going through the game, Myung-ha finds himself on the other side of the mirror: he is supposed to find his own happiness, and will to live.
Yeo-woon is introduced to the audience as a sad side character in someone else’s story, victim of his “fate.” He almost perfectly mirrors Myung-ha: his background is eerily similar to his. He was raised by his (recently deceased) grandma, with an absent mother and a dead-beat dad. He’s lonely, unhappy.
When Myung-ha first meets him, Yeo-woon is resolutely standing on top of a building, about to fall or jump, which directly parallels Myung-ha's own suicide. In this new iteration of life, in this “game,” he saves Yeo-woon from hurting himself, which is the start of his own salvation. Saving Yeo-woon, the poor guy who didn’t get his happy ending, is saving himself. Yeo-woon is like a version of him right before he lost control of his life, after his grandma died, and he felt abandoned by all. It’s the core of the game, and the core of the drama, but Myung-ha (and we, the audience) can’t understand it right away.
Several details, in retrospect, show that he is the driving force behind this "game", and that it’s, by lack of a better term, both a test (as in, an exercise, a learning mechanism) and a Test (as in, an exam you don't wanna fail.) Myung-ha’s main, most important mission is to “make Yeo-woon happy.” Which he happily and enthusiastically tackles. He does what we all do: he takes a liking to the character most relatable to him. Time and time again, the way he reacts when presented with someone who struggles the same way he did is very telling.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
He provides comfort. The comfort he lacked in his own life. (distant sounds of my heart shattering.)
But Yeo-woon isn’t the only one mirroring elements of Myung-ha’s life. Sang-won is a careless, tough-looking student, who seems slightly directionless. He picks fights easily and has a reputation at school for being “crazy.” He also smokes and rides a motorcycle (both illegal lol). His mom having abandoned Myung-ha, it’s also relevant to note Sang-won doesn’t seem to have a very good relationship with his own mother, and craves her attention. Although, he is your typical badboy, he is overall nice, sensitive, and has good intentions.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Myung-ha himelf appears to have been quite the turbulent student, with his own “mad dog” nickname. He, just like Sang-won, knows a thing or two about school fights, also drives a bike (lmao 100% sure he didn’t wait to have a license to drive though). Although he berates Sang-won for his rebellious side, with the patronizing tone of someone who’s done it all before, he shows genuine care.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Finally, Kyung-hoon. To me, he’s like another facet of Myung-ha’s personality. An absolute sweetheart, without friends, but always ready to help, and open to be befriended. While Myung-ha seems nonchalant about speaking badly of himself, he cannot stand it from others. He makes him his friend on the spot.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Once again, he provides like-minded friends the safe space he probably would have liked as a troubled, most certainly depressed teenager. Of course, it turns out Yeo-woon hates himself the most too (and by extension, dislikes everyone else.) It's the first clue for Myung-ha to realize some self-love might be the answer.
As it will become increasingly clear, Myung-ha has no issues protecting, providing for, and loving others, but fails to realize he should do the same for himself to achieve balance, and maybe, a little bit of happiness. The journey to get there makes him care for someone else the way he should care for himself, love someone else, like he should love himself.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
The last episode does a wonderful job of confirming what seemed to be threaded through the whole show, and explaining very clearly, in no uncertain terms, what it was all about.
However, the interesting aspect of this “mirror world," is that all of them, and Yeo-woon in particular, flip the script, in more ways than one. They all are a reflection of Myung-ha's life, but transcend their condition of “fictional character.” They’re not virtual. Yeo-woon is not made of something unreal, and he’s not a messed up copy of someone else. He has his own needs, desires, and quirks.
I don't think I can name them all here, but one of my favorite circular storytelling moment happens when Yeo-woon parallels Myung-ha by running to "find his fave." That moment in ep 8 counterbalances the one in ep 1.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Nothing is written in stone, and both of them set off to build their own happiness, against fate.

comically long commentary on the ending of worm
(heavy spoilers for hit webserial worm by wildbow)
Taylor should have died during GM. Not in a "she deserves death" or a "it doesn't make sense for her not to die". Thematically speaking, I think it Taylor dying fits the story the most. You'll sadly have to bear with my ramblings while I explain this.
Ever since Cauldron got revealed and their objective of preventing the apocalypse, morality be damned, was established, I started drawing parallels between them and Taylor. They always seemed to represent Taylor's philosophy taken to its logical conclusion, doing something that could be earnestly considered the ultimate good (i.e preventing reality from being erased) by swatting aside any moral constraints. With correspondence established, I can move on to GM where this gets even further pronounced - where Doctor Mother dies with no fanfare. When I was reading this part of Venom, my first thoughts were "That's it?" followed by my brain trying to scrounge up some deeper meaning behind her death. As the events of Speck unfolded i more or less convinced myself that it HAD to be foreshadowing for Taylor's own death. This is because during GM, Taylor fully embraces the "morality is for chumps who won't prevent the end of reality" mindset that Cauldron has displayed previously. She then takes and uses Clairvoyant and Doormaker, something that Doctor Mother had been previously doing herself, and takes control of every single parahuman - an army that Cauldron itself has groomed into being. At this point, Taylor has the same philosophy as Doctor Mother, the same goals and is using the tools Cauldron came up with. She is, quite frankly, Doctor Mother in all but name. This is why I fully expected Taylor to die by the end of GM and considered Doctor Mother's unceremonious demise to be setting this up. But then she doesn't. She lives, and gets transported with her dad to a dimension where none of this parahumans nonsense happens, where a version of her mom is still alive and where she can finally learn how to be okay.
So, then, what exactly is the difference between Taylor and Doctor Mother? Why does one get as happy as an ending as you're going to get in Worm, while the other gets mauled to death? The thing is, I don't have a concrete answer. I don't have an answer at all, actually. After GM ends, we see that Taylor has left thousand's traumatized and unwilling to mention her existence (from what I got from the epilogues, haven't read Ward), affecting people on a similar scale to the effects of Doctor Mother's actions, yet one gets to live, whereas the other one dies.
You could also interpret the epilogue of Worm as the book itself more or less saying that Taylor is a good person who deserves to be happy after all she's gone through, especially considering we go from a hellish battlefield where Taylor has lost everything to a sealed reality bordering on the idyllic with little to no explanations as to how that was done. This isn't a logical result of Taylor's actions and it comes off as rather shoehorned, as well as directly showcasing how the book interprets Taylor's character - despite everything, she's a good person. This logic can't be applied to letting Taylor die, as by the time Speck begins we understand the route Taylor has chosen will most likely lead to her death.
Due to all of this, I think Taylor should've paid the price and gotten only one bullet in the brain. I also like Wildbow's original intention of making the ending ambiguous, letting the reader weight the morality of Taylor's actions and deciding for themselves what they think the bug girl ultimately deserves, though this plan seemingly got scrapped.
alright that's it

Individual Expression in Spider-man: Across the Spider-verse and the trilogy's introductions:
So knowing what we do about the other protagonists of the Spider-verse films and the narrative format of characters introducing themselves and other characters, I think BTSV will open with Miles G Morales introducing himself as the Prowler and Earth-42. Not only keeping with the tone of the first film, but also emphasising the theme of "Beyond" the Spider-verse. It only makes sense that we open on a character who isn't Spider-man - even though they should've been.
But what exactly would that opening / introduction look like? Well, first we'd have to examine how our other protagonists have opened the previous films.
Tumblr media
When we first meet Miles, he's colouring some stickers, and later, we see one of his hobbies is slapping those stickers around New York. We later learn his dad knows about this and disapproves, so instead, Miles bonds over his artistic expression with his Uncle Aaron. By the end of ITSV, Miles paints a mural for Aaron with his dad but he keeps making stickers, most notably on the clock tower because it's somewhere his dad won't find it (and doesn't know he's Spider-man).
Tumblr media
Gwen opens ATSV by drumming and saying she, "didn't join a band to talk about my feelings, I joined a band to hit my feelings with sticks". She also talks about never finding the right band. When she meets Miguel and Jess, her mind flashes to drumming because she thinks she's found her band, and by the end she decides instead of joining a band she just make her own by siding with the people who want to save Miles.
In both films we see this is how these protagonists leave a mark on their environment. It's how they want to live with "no expectations" like ITSV implicates through Miles and Aaron's mural.
Tumblr media
Gwen's drumming is a cry to be heard, and her dad quits the police force after listening halfway through her speech.
Tumblr media
Miles' stickers are a cry to be seen, and reveals his identity to Rio before showing her his graffitied Spider-man icon (even though it backfires).
It's not just an artistic expression it's also in the way they do their hobbies - Gwen hits her drums, Miles slaps stickers...
So what is Miles G Morales' cry?
Tumblr media
Ever since ITSV, Aaron's punching bag has become a subject of interest. When we first see it, Miles is playfully punching it - Aaron even holds it steady for him.
Tumblr media
Later on, we see Miles tie up Peter B. Parker on it, and this scene is later paralleled with how Miles G Morales ties up Miles in ATSV. This works because it shows us how like Peter in the first film, Miles is now the Spider-man in the wrong dimension and how the tragedy of this Miles has gone from a likewise bright-eyed, clumsy awkward kid to a hardened but equally lost teenager. Finally, in both scenes, Miles and Peter make an attempt to break free of their bonds.
Tumblr media
As unfortunate as it is, I don't think we're going to see an updated version of the 2020 test movement in the next film. Even though it looks amazing, that was a character exploration and not actually supposed to be in the final cut of the film.
Aaron punches the bag when Miles believes he doesn't want to be the Prowler. And that may be true. But either way, Aaron views the Prowler identity as a necessity to the stability and protection of his and Miles G's family.
Tumblr media
But Miles doesn't understand that. At least not yet.
For Miles, the Prowler was an unstoppable force of nature that literally hunted him until Aaron unmasked himself and was so entangled in Kingpin's schemes that it got him killed. But in Earth-42, Aaron and Miles G are "the only heroes in that dimension" according to the artbook. Both Miles and Miles G are products of their environment, but that doesn't mean either is more or less heroic than the other. They're just operating on literally different timeframes.
Tumblr media
And that's why Aaron punches the bag, and its why Miles G puts his fist near Miles' head because they want Miles to understand that no, the Prowler identity is not a corrupt alternative to the Spider-man identity based on preconceived misconceptions. Without much evidence, we believed Miguel was a "good guy" based on his identity as a Spider-person. Why can't the inverted case be applied to Miles G and Aaron?
This is why I feel like in the next film, Miles G's "Let's do this one last time" will be him training with the punching bag before Miles comes to Earth-42. Not too dissimilar from Jinx's boxing-machine scene from Arcane minus Jinx's psyche, but a scene intersecting with current and past events. Like with Miles and Gwen, Miles G training with the bag is his own cry for "no expectations" of being labelled a hero or villain.

my book of bill reactions!
Ford making regular appearances in the book like the fucking drama queen he is, complete with disapproving dramatic selfie god damn
Fucking ‘cipherholic’ and god damn jack skellington moth
Bribe me properly with a stan twins spinoff, old man
(listening to ghost tricks ost at the same time and this truly is a chicken kitchen page)
That square image better not be fucking loss
These codes with tiny font are such a pain lol, i’m using someone’s incomplete cipher on twitter and its kinda fun filling in the blanks
"Between lives"… so this is before the axolotl reincarnated him
Not the parallel universe where mabel OD-ed on smile dip
Kinda fun using the reflection on my phone to read the mirror page
--
The first dream page and not ford and soos having light hearted shit while everyone else has nightmares (stan seeming to have a mix of the portal incident and the science fair) no mcgucket on that page for some reason tho– oh wait nevermind there's a full page for him and it freaks bill out
Oh there’s the oracle as an ex henchmaniac i think
bill's license plate being a ciphered ‘suck it’ …. So close to saying fuck
--
“My hole could be yours”
--
got to the advertised "extra journal 3 pages" and im fucking losing it omg
also the sixer nickname being used so much in the books and comics is almost funny when you realise that it was only used twice in the actual show
we finally got proper paranoid ford era content and its so painful its great
also god damn even before the paranoid era theres an entire section where bill was like "haha you should've eaten your twin" "haha if you ever met the monster who destroyed my dimension it'd eat you alive" mY GUY THE RED FLAGS
Not ford being told to see therapy way back in college omgggg
Baby stan twins in an ugly hannukah sweater omggggggggg
Oh wait i just realised the first page has some stuff cut from the leaked preview :((( rip no twins kicking the shit out of the statue and hitting it with a crowbar-- oop nevermind my pages were stuck together so i missed the first goddamn page
NO NOT THE FUCKING CRINGE ASS ANTI BILL SUIT WITH THE BRAIN,, FORD NO
SAHDSDHSAK THE EX WIFE JOKE- BUT NO NOT THAT BEING ANOTHER THING FROM THEIR FUCKING DAD
so glad that theres an entire section expanding on paranoid ford era
The joyride section holy fuck
Aw hell yeah the fucked up section which probably bumped this book to an older audience rating
Ford thinking that stan wouldn’t last if bill got into his mind when we have evidence that he has ridiculous amount of control over his mindscape….
Also him remembering what exactly stan looked like when he was begging for help and him using their childhood code…..
--
Is the first fucking reference to the axolotl a coded hot sauce message ‘hotxolotl’ near the end of the fucking book
Been having the ghost trick on loop and the ending song playing as i get to the family section was great timing lol
Me throughout the entire book: boo there’s only a few pages mentioning stan
Me at the stan page:
Tumblr media
but also then immediately going “oh shit he has the same handwriting as the bill font in the lost J3 pages”
Also weh decoding stan’s cartoon censor swears which translates into ‘love ya bro’
(another weh at him signing off as stanley pines)
boo at the lack of acknowledgement of the ridiculous amount of control stan has over his mindscape tho
bill only mentioned him like once before the journal page sections because he's so mad lmao
--
finished it!!! was worried too if it was gonna somehow ignore the whole axolotl being the one to let bill reincarnate thing but the ending really was it going rip bozo go to therapy
attempting the ciphers was pretty fun altho im sleepy and missed a few
(also same coin theory isn’t dead so im a-okay with this lol)

Suddenly remembered this fic I started writing a years ago (and never finished) where it was this whole different parallel dimensions, where a modern Gordie switched place with 50/60s Gordie. And lachambers was canon in both, but in the past they had to hide their relationship while they were open about it in the modern times, and the different Gordie's were forced to navigate life in these different timelines.
I wrote the most about OG Gordie in the future, and just the shock of his mum being a working woman, his dad doing household chores and just Chris being openly affectionate towards him in public.
I actually found out that the text was saved, after initially thinking it had been lost to time on my old computer, but seeing that I'd thought to save it on my drive was so much fun.
I don't know if I'll ever finish it, but thought it would be fun to share. Here's some of my favourite passages from it because I'm in a sharing mood, pls remember that I wrote this a long time ago and that the writing will be stilted, and I've fixed some grammar to spare you:
Ok, first some og Gordie in modern times:
“Gordie Hun, you ready to go?” He just nodded and followed his mother outside.
From inside he could hear his father's voice saying “Fine, just leave me with the dishes then. I see how it is Dorothy.” This was unlike he’d ever heard, because for the first time his dad had talked about doing the dishes without spite and calling it a women’s job. Instead he talked about it with a playful tone.
...
“Hey,” He said, glad to see someone who didn’t seem to have changed.
“Hi,”
Chris said leaning in, quickly pecking his lips. And that was the last straw. From a different room, to a different mum, everything being oh so different, and now the one thing he thought he could rely on was completely different too? He wasn’t having it. He pushed Chris away.
“What the heck are you doing?”
He looked around to see if anyone had noticed, but no one seemed the least bothered. Chris was shocked at the sudden action, but thankfully he didn’t seem mad.
“You can’t do that in front of people?”
...
And finally a little passage of modern Gordie in the past:
“What?”
Instead of answering Chris pinched Gordie on the arm.
“Ouch, what was that for?” Gordie asked, rubbing his arm lightly.
“To show you that this ain’t no dream. Have you smoked something weird? Is that it? Gordo, did someone force you to smoke something weird? Because that would be the only explanation as to why you act this way."
“Smoke?” Gordie scoffed. “You know I don’t smoke.”
It was at this moment Chris seemed to truly be losing it.
“Are you playing a trick on me man? Because if so, it ain’t funny”
Gordie just shook his head unable to comprehend what the heck was going on.
(The amount of times I use the word heck in this fic makes me wanna gouge my eyes out ngl)

I have a Fan Theory ✨
Well, part fan-theory and part over-analysis of the movie.
It is very long, but I hope you enjoy!
⚠️ SPOILERS⚠️ for ACROSS THE SPIDERVERSE 🕷️ 🧍‍♂️
Tumblr media
So, let's establish some facts that we learned from the movies and comics. I watched the movie several times, and cross-referenced a lot of my facts with fandom pages, but this is still only based on MY understanding. The spider-verse is a little complex, so if you notice any error or have some conflicting information PLEEEEASE share it with me I will eat it up om nom gimme spider
*ahem*
Anyway, fact time:
Every version of Spider-Man has canon events that are guaranteed to happen. These canon events are what tie the Spider-Verse together.
When a canon event is disrupted or prevented, that universe eats itself
An "anomaly" is just something that is in the wrong universe (which will occasionally "glitch" until they're sent home or wear these special bracelets that stop the glitching).
A spider, along with many other anomalies, were brought to Earth-1610 from several different universes by a device called the Collider
Miles (Earth-1610) was bitten by the spider from Earth-42
Earth-42 has no Spider-Man, Miles-42 becomes the Prowler, Uncle Aaron helps him, and his dad (Captain Morales) is dead.
Earth-1610 loses it's Spider-Man and is replaced by Miles, his Uncle Aaron is revealed to be the prowler, and his dad is soon-to-be dead according to canon
When Kingpin's collider on Earth-1610 is destroyed, the scientist who operated it is consumed by it, turning him into Spot.
From the official comics:
Each dimension has a Spider-Totem, which is a term referring to a class of "multiversal supernatural entities... linked to a mystical force called the Web of Life and Destiny" - Marvel Wiki
Hobart "Hobie" Brown (Earth-616) was the prowler, who eventually impersonates Spider-Man to help Peter Parker (a crude summary), while Hobie-138 was the original Spider-Man in his world. ✨
Tumblr media
Now, I saw someone make an interesting point in the comments of some tiktok video. They pointed out a "major plothole":
Why are Earth-42 and Earth-1610 not collapsing if Miles is the original anomaly?
The simple answer is that Miguel was wrong about some things. Obviously he's right about canon events as a whole, but Miles himself is NOT an anomaly (except when he's in other words besides 1610).
Who becomes a Spider-Totem is not a canon event, otherwise every Spider-Totem would be the same. ANYONE can be a Spider-Totem. So, when Miles is bit by the spider, the universe corrects itself by having him replace the Spider-Man before him. That world never really lost its Spider-Totem, so the canon is still intact.
I know what you're thinking here - "Okay, what about Earth-42 that lost its Spider-Totem?" I'll get to that later, bear with me.
Tumblr media
One thing I want to make clear is that Miguel was definitely wrong about Miles - the original anomaly was not Miles. To quote Miguel from the movie:
"YOU'RE A MISTAKE! If you hadn't been bit, your Peter Parker would have lived! Instead, he died, saving you. He would've stopped the collider before it ever went off, Spot wouldn't exist, and none of this would have happened. And ALL THIS TIME, I HAVE BEEN THE ONLY ONE HOLDING IT ALL TOGETHER! You don't belong here. You never did."
Peter Parker was supposed to stop the collider before it went off, meaning none of this would have happened if the spider never bit Miles. The SPIDER was the original anomaly.
But Miguel was right about the multiverse, or at least as we understand it from the comics, the Web of Life and Destiny. It was created by a goddess of spiders, Neith (Earth 001). She also is the one who creates the Spider-Totems inside of the web. The web is kept safe inside of a great temple, guarded by the Master Weaver. This is a really fun one that I'll come back to soon. Trust me.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
The movie sets up an interesting parallel with Spot and the Web. The Spider-Verse, also known as the arachno-humanoid poly multiverse (a stupid name), is what ties all of the spiders together. Spot, because of his collision with the collider, is an entity that can traverse through holes both within and between universes. He can be anywhere in the multiverse at any time.
He may claim to be Miles's arch nemesis, but he could very well easily become the main antagonist to the entire Spider-Verse. He is a threat to every single spider, because of his ability to be in the right place at the right time to disrupt every canon event and cause every universe to collapse, one by one. (god damn he's cool.) The only logical way to defeat Spot is to have every Spider-Totem work together, which is already being set up by the end of the movie.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Here's another question: What happens to a Spider-Totem when their universe dies? It's not made very clear in the movie, but it's safe to draw the conclusion that a Spider-Totem is not destroyed when their universe shatters. Miguel states that he watched his world disappear when he disrupted the canon (it was to make the point to Miles that he has to choose between saving the lives of the entire world by letting his dad die, or saving his dad and watching him disappear along with everyone else.) But if he watched it happen and he's still here... then what happens if this occurs to other Spider-Totems, and the web of the Spider-Verse falls apart? Is it just a dark end to each universe, leaving all of the Spiders to fend for themselves in whatever universe is left? Is that the only REAL way to defeat Spot?
There is also a possibility that Miguel might not even be a Spider-Totem, as he was not bitten by a spider, only gave himself gadgets and injected himself with spider-soup so that he can be a replacement for his world's Spider-Man. But, that would mean that they'd have to explain how he has canon events, if not a totem. If he IS a totem, then that means it is canon that there can be multiple Spider-Totems in a world, just not at the same time.
And what about Earth-42 with it's missing totem? Shouldn't it start collapsing?
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
To answer this, let's bring back the facts I mentioned from the comics. In Earth-616, Hobie is the Prowler. But, in Earth-138, Hobie is Spider-Man (also known as Spider-Punk).
As the Prowler in 616, Hobie helps Peter (that world's Spider-Totem) in several ways, mostly involving impersonating Spider-Man at Peter's request. He's a good kid, despite the life of crime he leads. There are several parts of the comics that show that he, in some way, hates the crime-ridden lifestyle, as he wasn't given much of a choice.
We see this same energy in Miles of Earth-42 in the movie, minus the part about helping Spider-Man (YET). The mirror between Hobie-616 and Hobie-138 (comics) is seen in the movie as well, with Miles-1610 being that good-hearted kid who became that world's new Spider-Totem.
Another Fun-Fact about 616:
Tumblr media
Takeaway: Hobie Brown was the original Prowler on Earth-616, but this role was later taken by Aaron Davis (Miles's Uncle).
So, it's clear that in the same way that anyone can become a Spider-Totem with the right conditions, anyone can also become the Prowler. That clears up one part of the issue. (Note, it's not quite the same as Spider-Totems since the Prowler, like many other villains, do not appear in every universe.)
But Earth-42 is still missing it's Spider-Totem... or is it?
Tumblr media
Thanks to a twitter post I found from reddit, it turns out that in spot's origin story, there's a brief moment where we see the spider on its way to bite Miles from Earth-42, but is transported to Earth-1610 instead.
Oh yeah. It's big theory time.
Earth-42 is still there because the Spider-Totem hasn't disappeared. There's three directions that Beyond the Spider-Verse can take this.
Miles-42's can still be bitten, can still be made into Spider-Man. His canon event was not disrupted, only delayed. This one is a bit weak though, as it doesn't explain why a captain's death cannot be delayed, since that canon event does not have to play out in the same way each time.
Miles-1610 is somehow Spider-Man for both 1610 and 42. If they went this route, they would have to find a way to explain the glitching while Miles-1610 is on Earth-42.
Since Earth-42 only exists in the movies, not the comics, and we've already seen some worlds be created as possible futures of other worlds, they may just write this as it is: a world without Spider-Man. This could be their answer to every time someone has asked "what would happen if Spider-Man never existed?"
I like the third option a lot - it opens up a world of possibilities (literally). Imagine seeing Spider Society cornering Spot into this universe, working together to turn this dark Totem-less world into a home for Spider-Society to coexist with everyone else!
Anyway, I'll probably add more to this later, but I've spent almost the entire day on it and I want to play Tears of the Kingdom (btw I drew Purah, go check it out.)

(Some of) My retrospective grievances Bakugan
I loved Bakugan growing up--and for the most part, the first two seasons hold up. That said, I did want to mention things about the series that I wish they'd done better. Some of it's nit-picks, and some of it is stuff that really annoyed me. I don't recall everything, so be sure to let me know if I misremembered some things!
Tumblr media
There's NO WAY Dan, Shun, and Runo were 11 years old (in the Japanese version; they were 12 in the English version, which is still unbelievable to me). I'd buy that everyone on the team was 16-18 and Marucho was 12.
I wish the parents and more adults in general were more involved in Bakugan. Magical creatures and cards that put you in another dimension fall from the sky and it's mostly just young people who use them? It feels like parents would at least be more concerned about what's going on, but Dan's parents aren't super involved--heck, I remember being surprised that he had a dad! That's something we never see from Yugi (whose dad is always on a business trip) and Ash (whose dad is a mystery).
Terrible treatment t of female characters. Julie, Alice, and Runo were great members of the team, but they were essentially removed from the show in season 2 because Drago only wanted to involve Dan. That'd be fine, but Marucho tagged along too, and Shun found his way there, too--and the male/female ratio was thrown off enormously, because we got a lot of new male characters, and very few new female characters.
Give more information on the location of the characters. Julie is from Australia and Alice is from Russia. Aside from missing accents, I'd have liked to have seen how Bakugan affected the different countries/cultures.
More backstories for the characters. I recall Shun's backstory and how it ties into his relationship with Skyress, but everyone else deserves that, too--plus it'd be neat to see how his traditional background (with his grandfather being a ninja) affecting his relationship with Marucho, who comes from a rich and modern family, as well as his friendship with Dan, who is also more modern.
Too many side characters who don't return for season 2 onwards. I always hated that we had fun characters like Chan Lee, Billy, and Klaus who are just written off later. It would've been fun to see them become bigger characters as the show went on rather than smaller ones.
Marucho and Shun keep getting new Bakugan. I'd have enjoyed it if the original 6 Bakugan returned to the team and they got Bakugan as well--namely because Ingram and Elfin were the only good "replacement" Bakugan for Marucho and Shun. The girls can just have their OG bakugan like Dan, or they could have two (their OG and a new one) like Shun and Marucho--though I guess technically Marucho would have 3 because of Angelo/Diablo.
Why is it that only some Bakugan can talk while the rest only let out animalistic? I kinda wish they all could talk, as well as not having duplicate bakugan with different elements.
The Vexos needed more backstories and didn't have to die. For a kids' show, this felt like a needlessly grim fate for them--and an annoying one if you grew up with the English dub, since they're just lost in another dimension rather than dead. It's Yu-Gi-Oh all over again--except the original and 5Ds had every right to be that dark. They could've just been imprisoned and we could've learned about more of them outside of Spectra and Gus. I really loved Lync and Alice, as well as Shadow and Mylene's chemistry, as well as the parallels between Volt and Baron.
Ingram's gender. This is more of a dub issue. To my understanding, Ingram is male, though in the dub, he was referred to as female for the first half of the anime with a female voice actor, and then male in the later half with a male voice actor. I'd be fine if he was NB or genderfluid, though if I had to pick between male and female, I'd prefer if he was male, given that Shun already had Skyress as a mother-figure, and Ingram could represent Shun's insecurities.
No one's gonna explain that moment between Drago and Percival in episode 26 of "New Vestroia"? That's the most surprising rivalry-turned-(almost) romance I've ever seen.
"Gundalion Invaders" was basically "New Vestroia" but with less interesting characters.

🚨Spoilers🚨
🚨Huge spoilers for the bedroom hymns🚨
🚨Don't read this ask unless you've read it until chapter xiv🚨
(I hope this will be enough 😭😅)
Ahhh okay, I thought it would make more sense to ask it on your blog (and you can choose not to answer if it's too heavily spoiled/makes no sense)(sorry in advance for it being huge)
This is me writing this ask:
Tumblr media
So for my list of questions and theories about this story (FYI I've no idea what fairytale story you're retelling):
I've read the end of the prologue like 3 or 4 times and I still don't get it. Her sighting of the Bluebeard is never mentioned later and it bothers me bc if it is her dad, she should have recognized him, if it's the carriage man from chap iv-v, then she would later on. The story's title leads me to believe that the OC is Bluebeard's daughter, but then why wouldn't she recognize him in the prologue? (And no, it's not obvious, bc the story tells us OC is smart and perceptive, so what is the point of that scene in the prologue if not to ascertain this for herself?)
The King's decision-making is... a little weird. So he has only one heir (OC), whom he has trained to rule after him and he has let her reach adulthood without knowing that there's a parallel realm to this kingdom that she's supposed to rule over? Like, what if he died tomorrow? Not to mention that if she has powers and should learn to control them, he seriously would leave her blind and 'unrefined' (let's be real, a liability) instead of training/preparing her?
And then he lets her go through these portals without mastering anything? Not herself, not the family secret, nothing? Like, she's the best-kept secret of all the dimensions and he'd risk losing her to thugs and danger and bad chance? What if someone steals her necklace? What if she forgets to put it on, he literally caught her doing it! Like, how are you going to so many lengths to keep her hidden and then risk her safety like this?
AND THEN knowing that this is a world with soulmates, there's the distinct impression that the King hides the OC even from her soulmate. Which opens the door to defying fate itself, and risking the hate of his daughter when she finds out? Idk, I thought he was smart.
And then he still has the time to live so many fake lives? How?? How does he have the time to play all those roles, and more importantly, why would he care to? He's a king with the power of omnipresence?
And then about the Queen. So my theory is that she died, because a) she wouldn't leave OC, b) the king loves her and wouldn't just "let her be lost in a portal". Especially since the King is letting the OC use those portals.
I need to know if OC and Yoongi met as kids 😭 With Queen Milena and so he was the only person who knew she had a daughter and that OC was his soulmate (but then the Queen would know too? And would tell the King? So why is he hiding her? 😵) I need that so I can cry and be all goofy dovey about it, okay? 😭
💨 so my ongoing theory is that the King and Yoongi's dad are related somehow (hopefully not, cause then -> blood relatives 😭) and that both were bestowed that power - or alternatively, that Queen Milena is related and had the power, giving it to the King later.
The third option is that the King/Queen Milena are from the kingdom that was destroyed and that power came from there (and is just similar to Yoongi's dad's) but that would beg the question of why mention that someone "stole it" in Yoongi's kingdom in the first place.
I'm considering whether the King is an immortal being of some sort considering the legends and how some of his decisions make no sense, but then why have a daughter, and in case he has had many, why care about this one?
I've just realized most of my assumptions rely on thinking of the King as a loving father and it might not be the case considering how neglectful he is...
Now all of this being said, none of this is me shitting on the story, quite the opposite, the mystery is the journey. Either all my questions make sense and I've been caught in the web, or there are plotholes that can be fixed now that external eyes have pointed them out. Another possibility is that I missed something, which would not shock me at all 😂😂😅
Where is the story going? I've absolutely no clue! I'm super excited about the next chapter because I'm hoping that Yoongi will be the key to her lock and then everything will just unravel beautifully 🔥
Ahh hello!! I’m sorry this took so long to respond to. I had to read this ask a few times and these are my reaction through every single one: 😆😎😂🤭😏😏🤭🤓
I was contemplating how to answer this long ask because there are so many questions listed here that may potentially spoil the story if I’m going to answer in detail so I had to figure out how to respond without spoiling the story. we’re still a bit far before some of the big revelations are brought up so I’m going to do my best to answer with clues on what to expect and point out some of the things (scene purposes, hints, etc) that you may have missed which should’ve answered some of this.
For those who haven’t read the story, you can skip reading this. or not lol. I’m going to leave the answer under a cut just in case.
So here we go:
To find the answer for question no. 1; the hints are all there in the recent chapters where OC kept finding the King’s hideouts and the disguises that the King supposedly used during his ‘trips’. The purpose of these scenes were to answer the question: “if that ‘person’ had been the King, why wouldn’t she recognise him at all?” but there is actually another question that was never asked: “was that person really the King at all? or if that really was Bluebeard?”
Idk if you remember, but it was mentioned during the scene in the prologue that OC had only seen a ‘dark figure’ walking through the deep woods. she never got close enough to see the person’s face, except for a hint of the blue beard, and he was covered in a fog, leaving her to believe that she was really seeing that ‘person’.
I can’t answer questions no. 2&3 yet as they are a part of the big revelation that I mentioned above. The scenes have been written for a couple of upcoming chapters so you may have to wait until they are revealed (since mentioning them now will ruin the story heheh)
As for no. 4; coincidentally, I’ve written the answer in the latest chapter (ch. 15). I know that this ask was sent to me before the chapter was out (which was also one of the reasons why I didn’t answer this right away just so I could ‘show’ it to you instead lol) but since you’ve read it by now, I guess I’m allowed to bring it up now😏
I’m sure you’ve caught on with the conversation shared between Yoongi and Yijeong. In this world, soulmates do exist. but this is something that has been rare to happen within the fairies community, so aside from Yoongi and some limited characters, the fact that he has a soulmate at all was never exposed publicly. and until this chapter (aside from the brief encounter the OC had with the farmer in Grimm), we haven’t revealed WHAT the OC truly is yet.
So does the King know that she has a soulmate somewhere out there? maybe yes, but there’s a bigger chance that he doesn’t. since…we haven’t even solved whether he is Yoongi’s kind at all.
No. 5 will also be explained in an upcoming chapter. As I’ve mentioned before, there is a big revelation coming, and starting from the latest chapter to the next 2-3 chapters, we are going to have a build up leading to that point. The only thing that I can tell you right now is this: the King has a reason why he has been using the portals, and that reason may not be what we (and the OC) have been thinking at all😎😎
No. 6&7 have also been written and will be included in the future chapters. We haven’t been getting the Queen’s side of story so far since we’ve been seeing the events through OC’s pov and every memory that she has of the Queen is kinda distorted, since she was still a child when the Queen was around. More about the Queen will be brought up through Yoongi’s pov, because he is the only one who has a clear memory of her due to the fact that he was older than OC when he last met the Queen.
One of the things that I’ve recently wrote about was actually a scene showing Yoongi’s moment with the Queen. Lets just say that their conversation will explain a lot about that last question and you might enjoy what they talked about then 🤓
For your theories; I’m actually loving these so far hahah and let me say that you are getting pretty close. The only information we have right now is that the Queen and the fairy Emperor (Yoongi’s father) were extremely close, enough that they shared secrets with each other and that they often spent time together (which Yoongi remembers joining as a child), which is why the Emperor is determined to find out what happened to her before he passes away (ps. there is also another reason why he is in need to find her, but that will be mentioned later)
I guess this is all that I can give you for now. Hopefully, my answers (and non-answers) will help make sense some of the things you’ve been curious about. I can definitely say that your questions do make perfect sense, and to be fair, I kind of expect more readers to be having these questions as we reach at this point of the story because then everything that is happening in the upcoming chapters will fall in place perfectly to answer everything.
Truly hoping that there won’t be any plotholes as we’ve finally reached this point and so close to the climax LOL because I’ve been working on this one for a whole year and I have everything planned until the end. well, except for a few loopholes that I’m now busy tidying up, hence why I often take breaks between chapters to make sure everything works out and makes sense at the end😎
If you’re ever interested to learn more about the tale that inspired this story, there is an online script of the original version (not released by the Grimm’s brothers) of Blubeard that you can find here. Reading the basic of the tale might help you understand the significance of the ‘magic doors’, the keys, and Bluebeard’s secret :)

random trigun thoughts from discord
trigun is heavy on the genderqueer themes in regards to otherness and how the relationship between one's body impacts the formation of identity. read some posts about knives over the last few days and how his experience with othering which began from his body contributed to the formation of his identity as something separate from humans. There's also the parallel readings of Trigun as being about dual identities, for example people of mixed ethnicity or diaspora culture
Roberto de Niro is the babygirl of the party. vash is my little sweetiepie. (no seriously studio orange kidnapped acclaimed A list hollywood celebrity actor robert de niro using a time machine to 2009). Followup on why roberto is in stampede: to die and give meryl character growth. So that she has an angsty backstory of course, and to give her a gun.
dmc came out in 2001 so it and trigun are from the same era, so the similarities might be more a 90s 2000s thing. A lot of 90s stuff was grimdark edgy cyberpunk-esque so that would explain vash and dante's leather strap bdsm gear outfits. Gotta love a man decked out in bdsm gear. red blue twins, one of them is evil and the other on the side of humanity. Oh there is the whole dual identity thing with both twins too and the christianity. But atmosphere and concept are very different. Dmc is more gothic and demon hunting. Trigun is a space western mad max style. Both series: dead mom no dad lol. Stronger similarities to dmc in the manga where Plants have angel imagery (both the common dove wing and the biblically accurate eldritch). Vash and dante red/black devil imagery to knives and virgil white/blue angel imagery. Though this is fairly common, devilman's ryo and asuka, berserk's guts and griffith, the two gays from world ends with you. Vash and knives in stampede have additional contrasts with knives powers being sharp mechanical and vash's organic. Knives never wears clothes made by noman land's humans. Vash only wears clothes made on no mans land. Both have stuff from the spacefaring age/lost technology.
Plants in stampede instead emphasize the competing strategies of surviving on a desert world: plants (terraforming) vs. Plants (magic generators). Manga Plants are so weird there like a dozen plucked rotisserie chickens growing out of a girls neck and 2 human bodies attached to 1 head. there isn't just the sheer amount of energy Plants produce but magic portal dimensioning organic matter (which if you think about it is also a form of slow terraforming since you are adding organic matter and water into the biogeochemical cycles of the planet).
Speaking of trigun, all this talk of human survival and terraforming reminds me of the red mars movement which is a fictional movement from a novel of the same name. Say humans do terraform mars/gunsmoke/nomansland and make it more hospital to humans. Sure that's good for humans but in a way its bad for the planet as its pre-human characteristics would be lost forever. Being better for humans isn't the same as ethically good and just because something is useless to humans doesn't mean it doesn't have intrinsic value in just existing. This is more significant in stampede where vash was a "useless" Plant that didn't produce anything (as opposed the manga where vash and naj were of equal power). In making planets more like earth all we get are half baked earth clones and what is lost is what make those inhospitable planet unique and different from Earth. The humans of trigun stampede see nomans land as a resource to be used and molded to their needs, just as they see Plants, even "good" characters like rem or luida. The manga has (or at least stampede is yet to have) the layer that terraforming projects are seen as both literal and metaphorical gardens of eden/a good thing for gunsmoke
Studio orange renaming the planet nomans land reminds me of the fictional town nowhere. Gunsmoke wasnt a bad name either i mean we have a dude calling himself millions knives. I find these fiction english lang names to be charming
"While showing the twins the geranium flower, Nai turns to Rem and asks if it's just ornamental, like the one in the Plant room. Rem's face pauses into a Wait, What? expression before she masks it praising Nai for his observational skill. When Knives shows Vash the next memory from that incident, there is a geranium flower being held in a vase, but it's in the room where Tesla's body is being kept implicitly as a memorial for her. Nai is already showing signs of distrust towards humans and Rem's true intentions towards him and Vash. The geraniums being ornamental also offers parallels to the suspended remains of Tesla, as red things kept in glass to be admired and looked at. It parallels how he comes to view Vash as well — useless, fragile, without volition of his own, but still precious and to be protected. Sealed away, if necessary, from whatever might consume him. Of course, 'something to be consumed' is how he believes humans view both him and Vash, even as he uses Vash for resources himself." (Someone on tvtropes). The connection of red flowers in glass cases to dying Plants or Plants in general in cases
Idk about 98 since it looked like filler to me but between maximum and stampede they changed up the twins childhoods. (I like both, both takes are interesting and compelling). In stampede they had an unequal childhood dynamic with nai being the powerful useful one that had Plant powers and vash the weak useless one who could generate anything and didnt have plant powers and he did was eat and sleep, just like a human. This sets up in both their minds as knives being the protector and vash the protected. Vash as the weak human one, nai as the powerful greater than human one. As the weaker more human one a few of us fans extrapolate that its likely vash got more attention and care than nai (gifted child neglect). Because vash was the weaker one he need more care and since nai was powerful, self sufficient, and independent of course he'd be fine on his own
I dont have a preference between stampede wolfwood and manga wolfwood (mostly because im not a shipper, they seem to prefer manga wolfwood). Stampede sets up an interesting character contrast where all the main characters look 25. Vasha and knives are older than they look and are like in their 150s while by contrast wolfwood is younger than he looks, stampede is vague on the age but he acts like a sassy middle schooler so idk he might actually be 12 (which i find very funny and alao why). And then we have meryl who is a normal 20 something. (23? I dont remember). Manga sets up a different contrast with wolfwood actually being 25 (maybe time isnt real on gunsmoke) but looking like he's 40. I will say wolfwood and vash have infinitely more chemistry in the manga like they have an actual dynamic thats touches core parts of both characters while also being entertaining to watch. Shippers are wack and can spin cotton from nothing so the presence of shippers really only ever indicates 2 male characters exist but oh there is definitely something going on in the manga where there isn't in stampede. Manga wolfwood also has a more unique concept in the manga than in stampede (so far) as the manga fans like to say: they took his melanin, they took his nose, they took his tits, they took his job, they took his scoliosis, and they took his boyfriend

August/2024🌗♏️Look out for that hole.
🌗 < 🦚 I truly do NOT comprehend these filthy creepy perversions of what it is to be a DIVINE couple. The fact that so many fucktarded misogynists, misinterpreted the alchemical allegories of a psychological and emotional bond; which is a source of harmony and creation, to such a level of depravity; that AGAIN I must STRESS the effects create a quantum physics fucking NIGHTMARE. You fucks are literally creating a living fucking hell SO DARK, it could take the collective consciousness of HUMANITY into a false parallel dimension; which would COLLAPSE into a fucking BLACK HOLE. (Yes, Mascis, some could hypothesize it is actually MEL’S HOLE.)
🌗🔺 ♄︎ People have a responsibility to not only APOLOGIZE for their UNFORGIVABLE BEHAVIOR, but they must MAKE AMENDS. I deserve justice and JUST compensation. My entire life has been DESTROYED, OVER AND OVER, AND OVER AGAIN. Every time, I try to build ANY kind of foundation FOR MYSELF, everyone has to INTERFERE and tear MY LIFE apart. What has been done to me and OTHERS I might add, is a ABOMINATION of MIND, BODY, and SPIRIT. It is so fucking backwards behavior for REALITY, again, you MONSTERS will find YOUR WORLD BEGIN TO COLLAPSE.
🌗▪️🌞 My life shouldn’t have been destroyed just because I am too ugly for an ANIMAL to want to breed with. UNDERSTAND? It’s NOT MY FAULT no one loves me. I am very sorry I am unattractive. That doesn’t give anyone the right to keep me from becoming independent. If not one wants me, then LEAVE ME THE FUCK ALONE. I don’t want to be with an asshole who pity fucks me. I don’t want to be with an asshole, who only wants to astral fuck me, because I am too ugly to touch in reality. I would rather LIVE ALONE, study and write or focus on my own ART. I can’t even fucking do that. LEAVE ME THE FUCK ALONE, IF YOU DON’T WANT TO FUCK ME. There are PLENTY of whores for everyone in a capitalist system run by misogynists and pedophiles. I have standards and when Mascis is the best out of the bunch, you know the 🤡💩is knee deep. Oh I am a pig to you? Well then STOP POISONING ME or SITTING ON YOUR FAT ASS watching 🤡💩s POISON ME. It’s not difficult for me get thin, if I am not constantly bloated from FIGHTING INFECTION. PEOPLE HAVE BEEN POISONING ME NONE STOP FOR AT LEAST TWO DECADES🖕
♂️< ♇︎ I AM in no mood to be harassed or harmed by ZIONIST AIPAC WHORES. YOUR narcissistic psychotic behaviors, are obvious and I want every fucking one of you cunts in jail. I should be able to sue EVERYONE, for ALL their ASSETS, over these CRIMES.
🌗 < ☊ Was someone going to try to settle out of court, or kidnap me and murder me before my court date?
🌗 ☌ 🎸 Biden keeps demon possessing my Dad. I know this because my Dad suddenly gets violent and tries to physically assault me. I simply get out of the way. Violent people are losers. If you have to physically beat down a person to ‘win’ YOU have already LOST.
🌗 Λ 🚑 I only hope those whom are too corrupt to change their behaviors in a positive manner, burn in hell, like the literal demons they are.
🌗▪️🦺 I know how to work alone. It used to be lonely, but I’ve grown accustomed to being alone.

Dude, my dreams be crazy.
So today I woke up from a dream and when I woke up I was like "What the fuck was that..." And then hopefully it continues because it just kinda ended in the middle.
So I was a princess of this weird kingdom. (Lancer and King was part of it somehow.) Like I was on a throne and in front of me was this lava pit??? It was like down to the core of the earth with metal structures. And then I kinda went somewhere (can't entirely remember) and I ended up being stuck on this platform with other people. And it was just empty space. So I jumped from the platform and then landed on another platform.
And then there was a dream sequence where I went to Hogwarts even though I'm not a wizard (my mom was there like "go in the wall"), and it just kinda ended.
So then it turns out the platforms are parallel dimensions or something, and then they turned out to be books. And there was a puzzle I needed to solve on these platform books stuff.
And meanwhile, Rouxls Kaard was trying to find me because he was like a minion of mine or something because I was a princess. And he ended up falling down the lava pit trying to find me and he was slowly getting disintegrated into lava and he was like "Well at least it's better than living" or something and irl I reacted to seeing that like "What was that" in my head like "Rouxls why tf did you kill yourself." And Rouxls was like "Better than dealing with Lancer." (The thing I remember the most.)
And then the book platformers didn't get solved because nearby appeared some sort of building and my step-dad was on it like "Yeah this is normal" and I'm like "Why are you here." And trying to solve the puzzle of the book Platformer parallel dimension thing never happened. Then I woke up.
So TL;DR: I had a dream where I was a princess, I got lost and went to platformers where there was a puzzle I needed to solve that were parallel dimensions and part of it were that they were book themed, Hogwarts Harry Potter dream sequence, Rouxls Kaard got disintegrated in lava, my step-dad was there, and I woke up.
It felt like it lasted hours. What is wrong with my dreams? They're so detailed and weird.

@ensnchekov gets a reply to this a year late because i suck
this is insane. it's insane. it well and truly is. and the thing is, georgie myers knows insanity. she knows impossibility and dimension traveling and all the crazy shit that's in-between. but this? this is something next-level bizarre and despite the fact her mind's already cycled through this train of thought at least three times since this man has appeared before her, she's still reeling from it. demons georgie could deal with. a troll, another day at the troll market. tooth fairies? the stuff of nightmares and something she really doesn't want to encounter again. but a fictional character showing up through magic from some parallel universe? that was.. she didn't know what to call it. further, if this man literally existed in the multiverse... did that mean that all those fictional characters from the million shows, books, and movies out there, all did too? if this was a cartoon, a mushroom cloud would be forming above her head. she takes a breath, then another as her dark hues continue to wash over him, little patters of rain still following around them. the temptation to poke him still lingers. maybe she's finally broken, completely lost her mind. yet she knows she hasn't. this is as real as the cool air dancing around them.
she can see him thinking, not needing to be a telepath to have something of an idea of where his mind might be going. (though, she knows a telepath or two if their needed.) "but it can't be the same thing or inspiration for the other. you'd know if it was. because you'd know about the show and the same people like kirk and you and sulu and spock and spock's sister michael and everyone else wouldn't exist in a tv show and then again centuries later..." this is making her brain hurt. "holy crap, you know how warp drives work! i don't know if aliens exist in this universe or not but... do you realize you could literally single-handedly give us wrap power if you wanted to? but.. i suppose that'd be a violation of the prime directive, wouldn't it? even if starfleet doesn't exist in this world.. and we haven't even made it passed the moon with manned flight yet.." she trails off, her mind jumping in a million directions at once. which, considering everything she's had to deal with in the last few years, this feeling was.. a nice change in pace from where her mind usually fell into when she'd ventured out away from people.
Tumblr media
"but vampires, magic, demons, angels, baba yaga. all that's real. i've got powers too, except i'm human. some humans have powers. don't really know why. my little brother can heal people but he's a warlock so he's got all the cool magic too." she pauses a moment, looking back toward the book and then at chekov. "uh, not super far into looking through it really. the director isn't going to be thrilled i took it out of hq but i also think i might at least not get grounded for you popping up since he's my dad. then again, i'm almost twenty and have been going on missions since i was like fifteen, i don't think he can ground me anymore." she extends her hand out, back toward her jacket and the book, making them move into the air and float toward her and into her arms.
"i'm sure the bprd can try to help you find a way home. i just-- magic can be unpredictable and sometimes.. well, if anyone's able to try to find a way to help you, be happy i found you and some random that doesn't know about this stuff didn't. people know about magic now, that secret came out when i was younger but the government still tries to keep a lot of what people know about it limited so they don't go opening doors they can't close." she reveals. then, she circles back, his previous question that she hadn't answered finally registering.
"oh yeah, to answer your question. i can show you star trek, if it doesn't weird you out too much. i was watching the latest movie last night. it kills me every time i see the enterprise crash into a million pieces on the planet but you were cool in the movie. should have gotten to help rescue sulu instead of say on the ship though..." she pauses suddenly, realization drawing upon her features about how her words might sound. it was one thing to rattle off facts about him but now she was bringing up actual full on events that would likely bring up unpleasant memories for him. oh god, what if that hadn't happened yet for him? "oh, no. please tell me the krall stuff already happened for you and i didn't just screw up your timeline further than it's already been screwed with?"
