I know the doctor probably didn't, because he never does

but did she see her once, one of her incarnations catching a glimpse of blonde hair and a big smile?

clara lived in the powell estate, did anyone there ever talk about the tylers, the mother and daughter who were everyone's friend, the 19 year old girl who went missing for a year and came back with her eyes full of stars? the family who disappeared not long after that, the girl whose name was written on the list of the dead after the 'ghosts' came?

and if they did, did she ever think or even imagine that rose might have had some connection to the doctor? did curiosity ever get the better of her? did she travel back to 2005 in the diner, just to see?

"Yeah… C'n see tha'," the blonde utters, sniffing softly as her eyes brim themselves with unshed tears. It's a hairpin response. She gulps, intimidation taking over for courage and making it entirely impossible to muster up enough facility to say more. At least not at first... She'll get there eventually.

There's a deeply rooted trust there, beckoning just beyond the slight look of disquiet on her face but even still, she keeps her distance. She takes a shaking breath through parted lips and manages to pluck up the courage to speak aloud again.

"Were they worth it, then?" Her voice squeaks with the question, but she can't help it- he's unlike anything she's seen before. It aches in her chest and her breath hitches. Even still the tears do not fall, just wobble inside of her eyelids and make everything blurry. At least that makes it easier to speak.

"The sacrifices... Were they worth it?" Her tone inflects at the end, almost as if she might be trying to convince them both that the sacrifices were worth it, and damn what she already feels on the matter.

After so many years in her parallel universe, there had been nights where she'd lain in bed wondering if she was just tormenting herself with an impossible dream. She'd kept herself busy, she'd become involved with her universes' version of Torchwood --- it'd been restructured by a version of Jack whom didn't know her, which had been a challenge. In fact, it had been a challenge everywhere. Faces that she'd known, but versions that existed in a world where she hadn't existed. She'd spent years almost like a ghost who'd appeared out of nowhere one day and forced to start her life over at twenty. Then the stars had begun to go out, and the multiverse had begun to crash --- and in the middle of all the fear and lonely nights hopping from timeline to timeline, hope had begun to stir in her chest once more.

The Doctor now looked at her, with eyes so familiar yet different somehow. A version of The Doctor who could stay, and live... she wanted this, god - she had wanted this for so long. Yet, Rose felt herself hesitate. She'd lost them in such a traumatising way, and this version of the timelord was something new. Would he want this forever? She was scared, terrified actually, because Rose knew in her heart that there was no way she could handle losing him again. But, god - he could still see right through her. " Yeah, but what about yours then ? " Her voice a bit more shaky than she'd intended despite trying to keep herself at a distance, " What does yours say ? "

Ok, so I just rewatched The Time of the Doctor again, and I was thinking about how everyone thought Clara's nan was Amy, but how no one ever stopped to think . . . . . . . . she's Amy & Rory's daughter!!!!!!

Amy would have to be over 100 to still be alive in 2013 (estimating that at the time her and Rory got trapped in the 30s she was in her 30s or even 40s). Which IS possible, BUT her gravstone said she died when she was 87.

Amy & Rory could have adopted a little girl in the 30s or 40s and SHE'S Clara's nan. That's my theory anyway.

▬▬▬☆☁ There was definitely something off about the Doctor. She stays silent as he speaks -- his words are beyond concerning. Rose can't help the feeling of fear from creeping into her head. This was so unlike him. There was no trace of the Doctor that she loved oh so much. Other than his face, Rose feels as if she is in the presence of an absolute stranger. It's unsettling && she doesn't like it.

                              She freezes then, his next statement causing her breath to hitch. No, there was definitely something very wrong with him. Yes, of course she had wished that her father was still alive; but she had also seen the consequences of that. It wasn't possible. That's what the Doctor had said && she has long since accepted it. Rose bites her lip, trying to stop the tears from welling up in her eyes. She doesn't like this one bit.

                              ❝ Doctor... ❞ Rose starts, pausing briefly to take a good look at his face. She doesn't recognize it at all.

                              ❝ You can't. What is going on? This is... this is not you. ❞

I've been doing something I really never thought I would do, which is procrastinating watching doctor who.

I'm like 90% sure that the next episode is 13's last episode, and I'm just really not ready :')

I'm not sure why, because 11 was my favourite and I loved 9 as well, and never had the same issue.

maybe it was because when 9 left, Rose stayed, and when 11 left Clara stayed? because the 2 of them really have been 2 of my favourite companions (though it's almost impossible to choose favourite companions.)

or maybe it's because I feel like 13 was never allowed to live up to her full potential, and that with better writing she would have so so much more to offer?

whatever the reason, I'm trying to hype myself up to watch it by 1. reminding myself that Donna will be back and that she's hilarious, and mostly 2., classic companions appearing! especially Ian :)) I've been watching classic who alongside nuwho, and he left not too long ago, but I already miss him and Barbara very much

but I wish we'd gotten more of 13... I wish she'd gotten to meet River, for one (though I'm delighted she got to meet Jack), and that she'd gotten together with Yaz, the way most of the others would have been allowed to. I also wish we'd seen more of the biscuit dispenser, because that was a great TARDIS feature XD

anyway I'll get around to it eventually but I'm so not ready :')
